I was told that the chrysler 300, 2014, was under recall, but i was never notified of the recall, i assume, since the car was under a lease agreement.the problem i experienced one day was the the car would not start and the car had to be towed. During the towing, the car was damaged in the front end and now rattles on the left front when the car hits a bump in the road. This car needs to be inspected and the damage repaired since the damage affects the performance of the car.in addition, the original problem caused the car to be scratched in several places and cost me a great deal of time and money.please contact me so these problems may be resolved by the dealer that handled the repair, which was hayes chrysler.

I am a chrysler employee and have access to the changes/bulletins. Recall: p60/nhtsa 14v-634 had the 160amp in 3.6l vehicles investigated in august of 2014 and submitted on 10/07/2014. The solution change was created on 09/12/2014 to perform a nik change for the faulty 160amp to solve the issue, this was done with 6322-04098-ccd for 2015 + future model years. The part number for the amp was 04801779ag and this change was making it 04801779ah.however, my 2014 chrysler 300 that had the alternator go out on it 04/11/2017, had the pn 04801779ag. My complaint is that the cut off date on the recall was any buildout my 2011-2014 before december 23, 2013. I was informed my car was built out the following month. But if the part was never changed out of the plant and was never caught until after my vehicle was built, then why is my vehicle not apart of the recall?when the 160 amp failed, i was driving and it gave me little warning. I was unable to pull off to a safe location. I was blocking traffic due to this and had to pay for a tow truck. Recall number: p60/nhtsa 14v-634

Vehicle was parked and unoccupied but running and it slipped out of gear and rolled into a parked vehicle. Claim number 20-5560-f20

I purchased my 2014 chrysler 300c brand new from a chrysler dodge and jeep certified dealership. Since the first day i purchased the vehicle i have been having problems. First started with the rear window shade malfunctioning while driving and front driver seat would not move forward or reverse the same day i bought the car, dealer said they would fix. Took more than two trips to dealer to get the problem resolved. Next at around 6000 miles i had cylinders misfire while driving, took me more than 3 trips to different dealers to get problem resolved. They did not tell me what caused the problem, just fixed it. About a month later i had alot of smoke and burnt smell coming from my engin while driving, dealer said a gasket was missing. I had air coming through driver front and rear doors. Took the car to dealer to get fixed, supposibly they fixed the problem but to this date i'm having the same problem with air coming through doors as i'm driving, now the worse problems are happening.on mid 2016 the rack and pinion gave out. On september of 2016 all my electrical system started to go haywire, windshield wipers on and off by themselves, gauges going up and down, transmission shifting by itself, lights on and off etc, this happend while driving on city streets, we pulled over turned off the car, turned it back on steering wheel was very hard to turn. Took to dealer. They said it was power steering pump. So they replaced. About a month later my wife was driving and the car accelerated to hi rate of speed by itself. After she gained control she drove home. Now 2 days ago we had the same electrical haywire malfunction, this time as all other electrical things that happened as last time the car accelerated by itself, we pulled over to gas station, tried to turn on and car was dead, had check engine light and etc light on.this car has become very dangerous for my family.

Car has a recall and has been stretched into a limo. Chrysler wants me to pay to remove parts so it can be fixed. This should be taken care of by chrysler. The car may catch on fire as its a bad electrical issue.

On 01-17-2015 less than a month ago. While driving home, the car surged/hesitated and seemed to lose power. I also noticed the check engine icon illuminated. I was able to move to the expressway shoulder and shut the engine then restarted it, but thecheck engine icon still was illuminated, and the shifter would not shift. It was locked. No p, r, n, d, or s. I tried to make a telephone call via the vehicle's bluetooth but all my data base was gone. It was working earlier in the day. I shut the engine and exited the car to make a cell phone call. When i re-entered the car i was able to engage the shifter to the drive position, but the check engine icon was still illuminated, as well as other instrument cluster icons were missing and some were present that should not have been. However the car would not move until about 3000 rpm. When it finally did move, it moved very slowly, relative to the engine speed. Finally it shifted to a higher gear and seemed to drive normally. I exited the expressway and drove around the residential area to re-assure myself that the car would get me home safely. It was late saturday night and the dealer was closed. I re-entered the expressway to rerun to my home. I never knew what gear the transmission was in. Paddle shifters were inoperative. While driving home i the navigation map was intermittently glitching, instrument cluster icons some missing many flashing. Also no cell phone. The dealer claimed the problem was corrected, but the work order stated 181905a1 transmission control module, software flashed. I assumed the problem was corrected but because it took place only one month old car, i became apprehensive. They never mentioned anything about the electronic/tipm failures that occurred with the instrument cluster. At this time i had no idea what a tipm was ! slightly more than one month later my vehicle failed again that was a tipm failure.

From a red light, i proceeded through intersection once light turned green. My engine stalled & coasted to outside highway lane with no warning lights ot any other sign of a problem. I parked on the shoulder and the car did not re-start. Twenty minutes later, it re-started with no further problems.

Car is not acceleration and has gone into park mode. The car had to be returned home and is parked.

Back left indicator blinks about four times then acts as if lamp is blown. Turn car off and start later indicator works but then after 4 blinks is out again. Replaced lamp. System still has electrical malfunction. Seat belts shoulder harness in all back seats inertia locks do not operate in emergency stops. My children flew forward with their car seats when a car ran a stop sign and i locked the breaks to avoid a collision.

I purchased this chrysler 300 in 2014 and paid cash 25,000 and only have 17,000 because i fear for my life to drive it.on several occasion my vehicle has stopped while in motion without warning and the gear slips from drive to park. While exiting my vehicle after i have parked my car slips into drive causing me to stumble. On two separate occasions i had to call a tow truck to aid me because my vehicle would stop with warning. Once while driving on a highway my car stopped while traveling at a high rate of speed and went into park on its own, i notified the towing company and it had to be towed to a dealership. While at a dealership i was notified of a defect and they stated they would fix it.on a second occasion while attempting to park in my driveway the car continued to put itself in park and while trying to reverse my car went into park. After several attempts i again contacted a towing company where they towed me to another dealership where they again attempted to fix the transmission. Again after 2 years i am still fearful to drive my vehicle. I have made attempts to contact the dealership to no avail. My vehicle continues to move from drive to park and vise versa. Please help i have no other means of transportation, my husband has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer and i need this vehicle in order to work and take him to his doctor's appointment. At this rate we will both need doctors if i'm not dead first. This is my final attempt to get assistance with vehicle maintenance and repairs. Although the dealership has made attempts to remedy this situation, i continue to have problems with the transmission. I am completely terrified to drive my vehicle each time i drive.

As tow truck hauled car the car came back to life from the jolt of road bumps.dealership states can't find anything wrong with car. Viewed several cars with similar symptoms. I have video of so far 2 occurrences . This has happened while driving and also while parked so its random.

While driving home one afternoon my factory beats sound system started making a static noise while listening to music via bluetooth. It cleared up and two days later the complete audio system stopped working. I then restarted the system and still no sound from radio bluetooth or gps. I then noticed a melted fuse that actually started melting the plastic in the fuse box located in the trunk near the battery.

As you probably know, not only chrysler vans are affected, the entire product line including dodge and chrysler cars, vans and suv's. Also jeep. I have a 2014 chrysler 300 s purchased dec 2014. The tipm failed 1 month later in jan 2015, while driving on an expressway the car lost power. I was fortunate i was not rear ended. The dealer did nothing and never mentioned anything about the tipm , they did a software update for the tcm then sent me on my way. It failed again in feb 2015 the car would not start, and all instrument cluster icons flashed and start button would not return to off detent, a low pulsating sound audible in engine compartment, wipers moving slowly with switch in off position the only charged the battery had 27 error codes, no mention of the tipm. In march 2015 lost navigation and phone paring. At that time they tried to duplicate the problem and kept my car for 18 days. Again they sent me on my way and never would admit the tipm is at fault. I also have payments each month, and am terrified to drive the car even for local errands. Chrysler resolution has my report and assigned a case number for this issue in feb 2015. They asked to allow one more repair [the 18 days they had it] and would then make a decision for a refund or replacement. This past wednesday mar 9, i received a call from chrysler resolution and the told me they will do nothing ! chrysler has sunk to the lowest possible level of customer service. They have more regard for profit than they do for safety. My vehicle is unsafe to drive.

Driver has been experiencing problems with backup camera since the car was purchased in 2016. Originally, the camera would just go in and out. A black screen would show up on the monitor once the car was put into reverse. This was mentioned to the dealership multiple times, but the camera would never act up when i was at the dealership. The driver was also told that an update would eventually solve the problem, which it did not. When the car is put into reverse now, the picture on the monitor from the back up camera is actually flipped on the monitor. So what is actually on the right side of the car, shows up on the left side. Recently when getting recalls for the vehicle taken care of, the driver found out that the back up camera was previously repaired in 2015. This was prior to the car being purchased in 2016. These problems were brought up to the dealership, telegraph chrysler jeep dodge in taylor, mi. The back up camera was brought up to the dealership when the car was under extended warranty, now it is possible that the warranty has expired. This is a safety concern as the perception in the back up camera could deceive the driver.

The mil came on as i turned on my car one day after work. I had flipped through the vehicle info and noticed that the oil pressure was at 99. I went to get the code read and found out that it was the oil pressure sending unit that is malfunctioned. I have read forum after forum regarding chrysler 300 vehicles ranging from years 2011-2014 and have found that this is a common problem. Will the dealership replace the unit for free?

On one occasion my vehicle's screen turned white and restarted without warning. Another occasion while trying to use the heat, the vehicle continued to blow out cold air after turning the heat to high. The problem did not correct itself until the vehicle was turned off and turned back on a shot time later. The same occurrence happened with the a/c not working until the vehicle was turned off and then restarted a short time later.

I have a 2014 300 about a week ago i was driving on the highway going about 60, as i speed up my car kicks to first gear. My car slowed all the way down almost got hit by other cars it didn't want to get off of first gear.ever since then it does it every other day and now my gear selector gets hard when i want to change it to a gear. Like it's stuck. Am kind of scared to take a high way now, what if it does it again and i don't get so lucky and i get ram from the back for the car stalling.

Car was in motion when the gear shifted from drive to stop causing the car to come to an abrupt stop. The wiper blades came on by themselves, the gear shift indicators began blinking off and on, the transmission monitor began stating that do not turn the car off, then began flashing: proceed to destination , turn car off to turn to start car, check engine light began flashing and the power steering indicator began flashing on .after about twenty minutes i was able to get the shift indicator to shift into gear so that i could get the car out of the street. I have taken it to the shop this issue have been happening at needs to be investigated.

45000 miles the dashboard cluster all of dash goes total out no speed no tachometer, no gas, all temp gauges and traction control go out. The radio and the rest of the console go black as well. Car will not turn on also you can not use alarm system to enter vehicle. Dome light does come on. Tried to jump start doesnt effect car as its not the battery its some other computer issue. As tow truck hauled car the car came back to life from the jolt of road bumps.dealership states can't find anything wrong with car. Viewed several cars with similar symptoms. I have video of so far 2 occurrences . This has happened while driving and also while parked so its random.

I was driving approx 60-65 mph when vehicle lost all power, no steering, brakes or control of car. I pulled off road (lucky), restarted vehicle and it high rpm and vehicle not going anywhere. Towed vehicle into dealership where nothing was found wrong.in the mail i receive a p60 recall for the alternator which were ll these symptoms, indicating unsafe driving conditions. Great!!! not!!!! no alternators to be found. I was told to drive the vehicle as is. This happened several times and towed back into dealership where they see no issues. They insist i drive this death trap. I asked if they would put their family in the car and they said "no". So of course i say but you wan tme to put my family in that car? after two months of back and forth, i get a new alternator put in. I test drive with manager, all seems well until a week later.the vehicle hit high rpm 6000-7000 with no control over accelerator and car didn't go over 25 mph. Yes all of this with no rental from chrysler, no help from them as well. So i continue to pay for a car i can tdrive.lemon law unit contacted and filed.

Driving the vehicle at about 50-55 and then car started shaking and check engine light started flashing pulled over and then the check engine light stayed on. I took it to the dealership the next day and i got a p0302 code. When i asked about the recall for that year make and model for the engine they told me that it does not affect that year even tho chrysler recalled for that particular problem just not that year. Its the same issue from previous years

After shifter recall for park function installed: 4 days after install, while backing up from a parking space, car slammed into park violently, could not pull forward or backward without car slamming into park. Dealer could find no problem. 10 weeks later while slowing down at a four way stop intersection, car jerked. When i started into the intersection, screen on dash said transmission service needed,do not put car in n or p, or turn off car, continue to your...traction light and engine light came on. My car would not shift or move. People were swerving and hitting their brakes to avoid a collision with me. Trying to give car gas, and it going into park, finally got to curb. Called dealer, told to turn off car.it went to acc mode and shut off. Tow truck driver could not get car started, he used manual override to load car. Dealer did not diagnose car for 7 days, then said it was dead battery, could not find any problems.picked up car, drove 37 miles, slowed down to merge onto a county highway, car jerked, and same message came up, same lights came on. Managed to pull off road. Turned off car. It stayed in run mode would not restart. Called dealer, had car towed. When car got to dealer, it started up ,they drove it three blocks, said no problem, no code shown. Dealer says it is not the recall fix, i refused to pickup car, afraid to drive it. Told dealer take a 40 mile drive then around town. No word yet

Engine cylinder #2 misfire,i work as a sedan driver for a limousine company and i'm experiencing problems with my2014 chrysler 300, took it to the repair shop because the check engine light was on,the diagnose was a misfire on cylinder #2, the shop replace spark plugs and coil packs, after resettingthe check engine lightthe mechanic took the car for a road test and the engine light came back. After scanning the car again the same code came out for a misfire on cylinder #2. The tested fuel injectors and engine compression and everything was fine.i was told by the mechanic that the only fix is to replace the head cylinder. After talking to other drivers that own the same vehicle as mine, the told me that some of them are having the same problem, and 2 of them they did replace thecylinder head already. Due to the type of work we do we put a lot of miles on our vehicles, so far i 116,000 miles so i'm definitely not cover under warranty.

Car has approx. 42525 limes. Coming from trip, heard loud engine noise. Went to dealer, found pipe from catalytic to muffler burnt off. Discovered a kink in exhaust pipe that was there when manufactured and it caused stress on the bend from the muffler to the catalytic converter. Had to replace entire system from catalytic back. Not a cheap fix but only one that was available. Dealer did a star case # 101881957. But to dte unable to get any confirmation from chrysler as having received this.

My engine light came on and i took it to the dealership and i have been told that i need a head gasket and it's number 6 , after making more research i found out that chrysler have the same issue with there engin for model 2011,2012,2013 and they extended warranty to 150000 on the left side of the engine but they refused to cover my car because it's 2014 even though it's the same issue

When i put the car into park, it pops into reverse. Then i hit the engine off button, but since it is in reverse, the engine stays on. Then i open the door to get out, thinking the engine is off and the car is in park ,and it starts rolling backward. This has happened 6 times. The car is in the shop now.

Vehicle was in cruise control mode set at 70mph. Vehicle in front of mine was going slower my vehicle slowed down automatically as it is designed to do. I proceeded to left lane to passthe other vehicle (truck) as i began passing my vehicle accelerated to a speed of over85mph without my touching either the gas pedal or the res button of the cruise feature.i then had to cancel the cruise control feature and brake the car to slow down. It was terrifying.this happened more then once during my trip. I had the vehicle into chrysler before because thecomputer turned the heated seat feature and heated steering wheel feature on without my touchingthe buttons. The car was reprogrammed to correct this problem and i am wondering if the reprogramming affected the cruise control feature.

2014 chrysler 300. Consumer writes in regards to headlight problems.* ld the consumer stated there wasn't sufficient light, when turning corners.

At night the headlights do not give sufficient lighting when going around corners. It is dangerous to make a turn onto a dark street even with the bright lights on.

Front headlights are facing high. Oncoming cars flash they lights thinking im driving with my high beams.at times these drivers leave their highbeams on blinding me as we cross paths.also front headlights do not shine at the sides. I canot see when turning, lights only shine in front.

The headlights provide no side illumination.also the light projected into the front direction does not give total coverage.bulbs have been changed twice with no improvement in the side illumination and minimal to the from.i purchased the car used from a local dealer on 06/33/2020

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving during night, the high beam headlights failed to operate. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vin was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,300.

Lighting is to dim, cannot see the road very well at night and there is no side vision at all due to the dimness of the lights. If an animal were to jump in front of the vehicle, it would not bee seen until it was directly in front of the car. If someone is walking on the side of the road getting ready to cross the street and the car is getting ready to turn onto that street, the pedestrian would not be seen at all!

Purchased used 2014 chrysler 300s on 9/28/16 after driving the car at night found that the headlights are very dim and when turning the car right or left almost no light. We live in a rural part of south eastern wisconsin and have a lot of deer and this is a very dangerous situation when driving at night. I called the chrysler dealership and asked about any recalls on the headlights and was told they did not see any that were listed. I don't know what can be done to correct this problem but it absolutely needs to be addressed .

I purchased a chrysler 300 year 2014 used from chrysler dealer in mesa az. On 4/22/2015. The car was what we wanted and we also purchased the mopar extended warranty at the time. At the time of purchase no mention was made that the vehicle in question would not be safe at night to drive. I have had many conversations with dealer staff over last year and a halfas to the problem with no result. Here is the problem when turning a corner at dark you lose all side vision if you are in an area without street lighting. Apparently chrysler has built a car without lighting that lets you see anything that is not straight ahead. When i began to investigate this with chrysler rep. As no one at dealership seemed to know about the problem we found the problem. You will see by the emails i have attached that chrysler knows of problem. They even have an option to fix called steering directed lighting. However i am told it cannot be put on my vehicle. This is a major safety issue in that the vehicle is totally unsafe to drive after dark in an area outside of city lights. As you will see by attached emails i have tried to get chrysler and their dealership to pay attention but they choose not to even test drive their own product. Also no one in authority from either chrysler or their dealership has contacted me. Although i have been told several times they would get back to me from dealership. Anyone that would come to my house after dark and drive my car around the block would see that this car is unsafe. Thank you for any attention you may pay to this issue. Driving my 2014 chrysler 300 at night is very dangerous and unsafe. The headlights give you no side light and the low beam is very dim. The projected light beam is misadjusted and cannot be adjusted. Worst night time headlights i have owned. Something needs to be done asap. It is bad enough i need prescription eye glasses to see distance at night, but they don't work with poor headlights.

When driving or not driving sun roof will not go close i have to push button a few times or wait a few minutes, check engine light will come on when starting car or driving down the road, when braking popping sound comes from left side of car and a little sliding, paint peeling off back bumper. These problems have been happening for 2 years now. Car at repair shop now for brakes.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. The contact stated that the headlights were very dim, which made it difficult to drive at night. The contact could not see the road properly and, on numerous occasions, was extremely close to crashing the vehicle due to poor visibility. The dealer stated that there was nothing wrong with the visibility. The dealer stated that the vehicle was not made to have high visibility. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact informed the dealer that the vehicle was not safe to drive. The failure mileage was 2,000.updated 10/04/16*lj

While driving the vehicle at night the headlights will flash off and on, the dash board lights go off and on, the windshield wipers come on and the radio will go off. In the day time while driving the same things happen except the headlights going off and on. This happens on the street and the highway while in motion. This has happened several times and after a while it stops.

Headlights are very poor both down road and to sideeven with town street light directly overhead i almost hit my neighbor riding his bicycle as i pulled out of my drive. Dealer says nothing can be done to improve vision. Even on high beam, never get response from other drivers that lights are too bright. Rural road driving is almost impossible at night. Something needs to be done.

The headlamps, both low beam and high beam, are very dim. The high beams don't illuminate anything on the sides of the car, just shine higher and straight ahead ( tunnel vision). I had the high beams inspected at a state certified garage. The mechanic said the high beams were odd, but within tolerance.the car is dangerous to drive at night, especially on rural dark roads, because the visibility is so terrible. This needs to be addressed. Driving home after i bought the car in december 2014, fog conditions exacerbated the problem.

Headlights have no side vision.on dark roads , when turning off on driveways can not see driveway.06

I smelled gas in the cabin then later after filling the tank, i had gas running out under the car.investigation revealed melted plastic around the fuel pump electrical connector pins allowed gas to leak on top of the tank then run down out of the tank.i changed the fuel pump only to have it happen again 5 months later. The fuel pump sits lower than the fuel pump so when the tank is full, about 3 gallons of gas will leak out.i figured out the cause was from heavy objects, in my case, people sitting in the back seat but child seats or possibly groceries could exert pressure on the electrical connector causing the pins to heat up and melt the plastic.i installed an upgraded fuel pump cover made out of aluminum available at www.fuelconnectorfire.com and after more than a year have not had any more issues.

Brand new 2014 chrysler 300 s purchased 12/5/2014 .595 miles on odo today, 1/17/2015. Driving home today i noticed a split second surge, like the brakes grabbed, like the car lurched. Shortly after i noticed the check engine light was illuminated. Pulled over and shut/started the engine. Check engine still there. Started out from the curb, and the engine revved to approx. 3000 but the car barely moved, the transmission lagged relative to engine speed. [i.e.not engaging or slipping]. Gradually it picked up speed. Stopped again same thing. Tried to shift to sport mode with out success....no sport mode, so paddle shifters also failed . I could shift to p,r,n,d. Not sport mode. A short while after i was home, i started the car, check engine still lit. While still parked now i could shift to sport mode. Drove a short distance in drive, but eco not showing in infomat display. Sport mode/paddle shifters now were working but would not shift to 8th gear. Prior to this event, and hours before it took place.....i paired my cell phone and it automatically loaded all my contacts. I used both contacts and voice recognition to make calls no problems. So it was working great earlier in the day.when the transmission problem took place [explained above] i tried to make a call, and the screen showed "no phone connected".. Everything including contacts evaporated like i never paired the cell.i would think both problems are connected.

My 2014 chrysler 300 has loud clunking, thudding noise when travelling over rough roads or going over a small bump. The noise sounds as though something is about to fall off. I have taken the vehicle into the dealership to be assessed and it was determined that i would have to replace the shocks, struts, tie rods and brushels to alleviate the problem. I was given a estimation of $3000.00 dollars to correct the problem. It was during this time that it was discovered that muffler exhaust pipe had rusted and come apart thus calling the car to sound as loud as an 18 wheeler. I was informed by the mechanic that this was a common problem with this car and the dodge charger . The repair cost on this was estimated to be 800.00 - 1100.00 dollars alone. Pleas investigate these complaints because chrysler needs to be held accountable for these actions.during the course of my own investigation i have discovered that some of these problems go back as far back as the 2005 model chrysler 300.

There is a recall on this car but chrysler will not cover repairs be cause it was in an accident car is in very good condition. It is a rebuilt salvage and the registration is in ct. I think they are responsible for repairs because air bag was never deployed on pass side. Far right front and undercarriage on lncident report only. Also control modules for cruise control will not allow you to turn it off short circuit in vehicle wiring . If a rebuilt salvage can be sold to me by a dealer that is unsafe why can't chrysler stand behind there recalls. Oh the car is in very good condition an i love it. Can you help me please.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. While filling up the vehicle with fuel, the contact smelled fuel fumes inside the vehicle. The contact did not know where the fuel leak was coming from and took the vehicle to cullman chrysler dodge jeep ram (300 benchmark way, cullman, al 35057, (256) 615-2563). The dealer stated that there was an overflow filter that ran with the fuel lines called the fuel canister. The dealer stated that it was the contact's fault for overfilling the fuel tank, which caused the fuel odor inside the vehicle. On october 1, 2019, the contact filled up the fuel tank and the vehicle stalled, sputtered, and returned to normal. When the contact arrived home, he smelled fuel and noticed fuel leaking from the rear passenger side quarter panel. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer where the leak was noticed close to the exhaust system. The dealer called back and informed the contact that he overfilled the vehicle again. The contact called the manufacturer and they sided with the dealer; however, they stated that they would do further investigating. The contact was informed to get a second opinion at another dealer. The contact informed both the dealer and manufacturer that he saw no overflow of fuel on the ground. The failure mileage was 34,000.

A few different times i've been driving along typically as the automatic car shifts foo a higher speed the car sounds like it is accelerating and is stuck at 3000 rpms.i'm concerned because even when i touch the gas pedal it doesn't seem to change the acceleration.

Vehicle fuel pump failed at 17,000 miles due, apparently, to ethanol content in gasoline.chrysler marketed this model during the 2014 year as a flex-fuel vehicle (ffv).evidently this particular vehicle (as well as many others) are not actually intended to be flex-fuel despite chrysler's prior announcements and there is no warning whatsoever that these vehicles may not be operated on a mixture of gas-ethanol.this issue could cause serious injury or loss of life if the fuel pump were to fail during operation on the road.

I got into my car which was parked inside my house garage.i put the car in reverse and moved about 1 to 2 feet back - but had to stop the car as my brother wanted to get into the car.i put the car in "park".as he was getting into the passenger side of the car i started to get out of the car as i wanted to get a towel on my garage shelf.however, before my brother could close the door the car started rolling backwards out of the garage. I was already out of the car when it was moving backwards so i could not get back into the driver's seat -so instead i reach down and pressed the brake pedal with my hand.but it was too late. The passenger door got caught on the garage wall and was bent backwards.the passenger door is now damaged, bent in two places and does not closed correctly.

Compass direction wrong. Garage door in car button occasionally does not work.occasional loss of radio. Rear of car bump sound on start up. Uneven drive with small jerk when going from start to accelerating all of above on initial start up.

On february 7, 2016, my husband parked his 2014 chrysler 300 in a parking spot in a parking lot and exited the vehicle with the engine running.i was seated in the front passenger seat with our 11 year-old child behind me and 9 year-old child seated behind the driver's seat.all 3 of us were wearing seat belts.my husband walked across the parking lot and down the block.i was texting someone on my cellphone when my 11 year-old exclaimed that the car was moving.without looking up from my phone, i explained to her that it was probably the illusion of a car pulling into or out of the parking spot beside us.she screamed, "no the car is definitely moving!"the car was accelerating backywards.i made every effort to move the gearshift, grab the steering wheel and hit the brakes but due to the size of the large console i could not swing my leg over to reach the brake.the car moved in reverse across the parking lot and struck an unoccupied vehicle that was parked on the opposite side of the lot.thankfully, the car did not strike any pedestrians or occupied vehicles, as this was a busy parking lot.our chrysler endured significantdamage while the damage to the other vehicle was minor.my children and i were extremely upset.we are very grateful that no one was physically injured but we were all quite shaken by the out of control car.the impact was such that it make a loud "thud" sound when it collided with the other vehicle and jolted us a bit.we were completely shocked that the car seemingly on it's own went from "park" into "reverse".my husband had time to walk across the parking lot and down the block before the vehicle started to move.the vehicle was long out of his sight before it started to move.this car is dangerously defective.we reported this incident to our insurance carrier the next day.

I have a 2014 chrysler 300 base, with awd. I have 73,000 miles on the car. I've always had the service kept up. So, i was have a rough noise as i would go over 50 mph and it would be like a growling noise. It sounded like a front wheel bearing. I took the car into the dealer and they said it was the front right wheel bearing. The warranty had ended at 70,000 miles for the drivetrain and so i put it on myself. I put a brand new hub on and still had the noise. I took the car into another garage and they thought it was the rear drive line. They replaced it and still making the noise. So, they then said it was the front drive line. I had them do it and finally. This was the fix. I looked online and watched videos and was never anything saying a drive line. I just feel that it's so unfortunate that at 3,000 miles over and i'm stuck paying over a thousand dollars, to replace a part of the drivetrain. What i worry about, is that both axles were actually no good. It's just the one was making the noise. What if i kept driving and one locked up. That's scary and could become life threatening. I truly hope you can review my message and find out why this happened and is a possible recall. I would hate for them to freeze up on someone and ends up injuring or worse, fatally injuring someone or even an entire family.thank you!

On july 17 2016 i drove in a car wash parking lot.i stopped and shifted from drive to park. I took my foot off of the brake and i was in the motion to turn off the engine. But the car was in reverse and moved several feet in reverse hitting a steel post in the ground causing damage to the rear of my car. The transmission when from drive to neutral to reverse but notinto park. There were two people standing near my car when this happened. If theywould have been behind my car it have been a possible seriousinjury . I sent a email on july 18 2016 mopar assistance center explaining the accident but i never received any response from them.thank you [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I have experienced several issues with my transmission shifting erratically at various speeds. This is a brand new car. I have it serviced several times for the same issue after i first purchased it in january 2015. They said it needed an software update. It worked and shifted normal for one day and after that i can step on the gas lightly and it shifts uncontrollably, from first to second and/or has trouble getting out of first or second gear and slams into third gear by a jolt into each gear. It's very dangerous at stop lights when i barely step on the gas and several times it jaunts forward quicker than expected with my foot barely on the gas. Or i can step on the gas peddle and it doesn't go or find the gear until a sudden thrust forward which has almost caused me several accidents.i have taken it to the dealer and will be taking it again and they don't have an answer why it does that. All they do is say they'll re-load the software and it doesn't help fix the situation.this is an accident just waiting to happen overtime. I'm at a stop light not knowing how the drive train will respond. Always alert or even just pulling out of the drive is when it will change gear unexpectedly driving it when it's not warmed up. Very very dangerous. Thank goodness i'm a safe driver. I can't even trust someone else to drive my car for fear that will get in an accident because of the shifting issues. This has been an issue for years on this model but never a recall on the transmission. Over 300 complaints and still nothing and the dealer can't fix the issue.

No word yet

On a slow stop, when the car downshifts from 2nd gear to 1st gear, it shifts hard into 1st gear and the car lunges forward a couple of feet. Very startling when it happens and potential to cause an accident. Brought back to dealer once and they stated chrysler is aware of the problem but has done nothing to fix this. They have received many complaints for all chrysler models that use this type of transmission (zf?) they did a software update for the transmission controller but this has not fixed the problem.

I feel the gear selector on my 2014 chrysler 300 is vague, confusing, and dangerous. It is electronic and pivots instead of moving one spot for each gear selection. If you park and attempt to shift from drive to park sometimes it makes it and sometimes it ends up in reverse. When this happens the engine does not turn off when you push the stop button and as you step out the car takes off backwards. Also when shifting from park to drive sometimes it goes past drive and into low, so i ended up driving for a time stuck in low gear and not knowing until you go to slow or stop and it feels like the brakes are stuck on so you start looking for the reason. I have hated this car almost since i leased it in december of 2014. I feel with the lack of a switch key to turn the engine on and off, and this vague gear selector this group of vehicles is an accident waiting to happen. I have tried to trade it in but i still have 13 months left and can do nothing. Please look into this...thank you...updated 03/31/17

Driving on garden state parkway, suddenly a bang from car, no power transmitted towheels, had to coast over to right shoulder, in traffic, warning light came on after car stopped, never before, "service awd system". Car only has 62,400 miles, no prior warnings. Had to be towed off highway, vehicle inoperable pending repair. I found information online about failure of bolts on driveshaft of awd system, and arecall by fca usa of 75,000 2014-2017 chrysler 300's and dodge chargers in february of 2017. I checked for recalls on my vehicle 0n 1/16/21, and there areno open recalls.

1. While driving at normal speeds my car seems to struggle shifting into gear. It also makes clunking sounds going up hill. Today i accelerated to get onto the highway and the vehicle made a loud noise for a few seconds and finally got up to speed.2. My vehicle also has a factory rust proofing and the quarter panels are showing large spots of rust on the front and rear of the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. Whenever the gear shifter was shifted into the park position, the vehicle went in reverse. I pulled into my driveway at home and placed the vehicle in park. At the time i placed it in park a reading came on the dash that said 'service trans press brake when stopped key off engine to engage park'. From what i could see the vehicle was already in park. As i tried to place the vehicle into drive it would go directly back into park as soon as i got off the brake pedal.

It was noticed that the vehicle was suddenly leaking oil as in a quart on the pavement where i had parked. Took it to a service center and the oil filter housing cooler is cracked. He advised to not drive it as the oil is pouring down the top of the motor and could cause a fire or other electrical problems. Upon trying to order the part, it would seem that a lot of other people are having the same issue. The manager at our service center was told it was on backorder. 30,000 was the number he was told of this exact part that other people were also trying to get. The vehicle smelled of burning oil and was smoking when it was last driven. I am on week 2 of not have a vehicle and am looking at the very least another 5 weeks, before the part could possible arrive. Ifthis many people are having the same problem why is not a recall.

I contacted the dealership the previous wednesday to let them know that the car was shifting erratically. It would not shift when it should, instead the car would drop out of gear then hang open for a moment before it would slam into the next gear. I contacted the dealership and they said i could stop in the next wednesday (1/14/15). On the 13th i was making the first turn from my home and the car would not shift from first gear. I called the dealership and they had me come in. My house was only a couple miles away so i drove in there while staying under 20mph. My concern now is that the car shifts but not in the same way it did when it was first bought. I don't know if this is good or bad and what other damage could have been caused by the hard slamming of the gears.

I have received a recall for a part in my car that is a safety issue in july. That was the 2nd letter i received and the dealer is still unable to make a fix on the issue.

I took my vehicle into the dealership for a recall months ago and it still isn't fixed. It states in the recall letter it should take about two hours to complete. It's even been transferred to another dealership to try to be fixed. I've been given loaner cars that do not meet the standards of my current vehicle by model or by dependability. I wish to clear up this matter as quickly as possible now. I have a family and other responsibilities to tend to. This has been a very stressful, traumatic experience and i need assistance in clearing this matter up once and for all please.

8/30 put the car in park and stepped out. The car goes rolling backwards down the street with my daughter in it screaming bloody murder. Luckily my driver door was open. It caught my neighbors car and jarred my door backwards forcing the car to veer to the left avoiding a street where cars fly up and down frequently. (savannah was feet away from either going into traffic or into the back of someone's house. We are extremely lucky nothing happened other than damages to a couple of vehicles). My car door doesn't shut properly and is unsafe to drive. I find out this is the same shifter that has allegedly been tied to a famous man's death and hundreds of other accidents. Verified with fca my car was defected.

On numerous times i have no idea what gear the transmission is in. I park the car and think it is in park only to find out it is in reverse.as i am stepping out of the car it starts to back up. This is a dangerous design flaw by chrysler corp.there needs to be some sort of safety mechanism installed to make sure the engine is off upon exit.

Based on "nhtsa" proof report attached below regarding this issue.( safety recall n65 / nhtsa 13v-610 transmission output shaft )it was happened to me 100% but still not updated my vehicle manufacturing date in that document. Recently the local dealer charge me the full cost of valve body transmission without any convincing reason.

As i was driving my driver's seat collapse the back of the seat went all the way forward in a bottom of the seat went all the way down as i was driving and i could not remotely control my seats whatsoever. I had to disconnect my battery cables and reset my whole system but as it sits right now i cannot move my seats or put them in memory mode my seats will not move front or passenger side. My steering wheel will not go up and down nor telescope, brake pedals will not adjust also. I changed the fuse in the trunk four times it works for about a half a dayand it starts all over again. The first time this happened was back in july of 2020 as i was driving and it was very very very scary,. Especially because i was on the highway.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. When the contact entered the vehicle, the back of the seat fractured. I had a low impact crash after i applied my brakes at approximately 2-300 feet before the vehicle in front of me.my tires are good and there were no indicator lights on my dashboard prior to the crash.i slid approximately 100 feet into a car stopped on the highway, because of a prior accident in my lane.when i began applying the brakes, i was traveling 60 mph.i traveled another 4-5 seconds into the back of a vehicle. No airbags deployed.i was unable to stop the car!i think something malfunctioned.the collision center mechanic who is working on my car, tells me that if there was no indicator light prior to the crash, then there was no code thrown to the event data recorder.therefore, he says the only thing he could do is test drive it afterwords and try and duplicate the failure.after the accident, and we traded insurance information, i drove home, 60 miles and the the brakes worked fine.why did they fail this time?

I have had the brakes and rotors replaced and still have a really bad shaking and vibration in the car

Sometimes when going over a bump breaks make a grinding noise. Sometimes i do not have to go over a bump. Abs and traction control lights come on daily and for most of the day.had a shop check the breaks and they said they are fine. At least they are not worn down.what is causing this noise? it is kind of scary. This has been happening for almost a year but this complaint is dated for today aug 8 2018. When the lights first starting coming on my car acting like i was tapping the breaks 4 or 5 times but that part stopped a few months ago.

This was a rental car. When starting to brake, my shoe caught on the foot well which interfered with my braking. This happened multiple times.there was an extra snow mat installed by the rental company, which i removed. After that it only happened once. The foot well is definitely not designed to allow proper transfer of a foot from accelerator to brake especially for bigger sized feet. The pedals on the model i was driving are not adjustable. I have seen one other similar complaint on the internet, that user removed the floor mat to resolve the problem.

"steering wheel" the leather wrapped steering wheel of chrysler dodge jeep and ram vehicles has a poor quality of leather which cracks and disintegrates over time, the vehicle noted in this complaint at less than 30,000 miles showed the material defect. It has been a well documented issue to which fca-chrysler refuses to respond too. The issue is that over time as the material continues to deteriorate has the potential to break apart causing the driver to loose control of the vehicle, causes issues with the ability to correctly hold onto the steering wheel among other things. The leather used it was confirmed by a representative for fca-chrysler in the orlando florida region that this occurs even on vehicles she owns and others she has inspected and will not provide a remedy.

The tie rod completely gave away on this car while i was just driving along the highway.

Loud clunking noise when applying brakes to come to a stop and when going over bumps in road/railroad tracks. It has been going on for months. I put todays date as the incident date because it happens daily

I submitted reimbursement for the repair of a faulty alternator. Chrysler said they were in the process of filing a recall on the alternators on chrysler 300's but the vin # of my vehicle was not on the recall list.i requested chrysler include my car as it incurred the alternator failure. I called nhtsa who gave me a compliant # -11030363. I subsequently received a letter from randy reid at nhtsa requesting a copy of my invoice. I mailed it to him october 30, 2017 in the envelope he provided.to date, i have not heard back from anyone. I spent $767.95 on september 26,2017 repairing the alternator. The alternator failed as i was travelling on a highway in converse texas doing 50mph in the center lane. My car went completely dead and without power. I had to glide my caroff the highway with other vehicles traveling 50 mph or faster past me. I felt lucky no one hit me.once on the side of the highway, it smelled like my car was on fire.this was a very dangerous situation for me.

When i put on my ac i get heat and it gets so hot that i have to close off the vent and open up the passage side to cool the inside of the car and i've had work done to this three times and i want to know if its on the recall list and no one told me so i need help with this please

I was driving straight forward at about 20mph on a bridge where the road was clear with no ice or snow and my car did a 360 spin out in the middle of traffic. That day i took my car into discount tires where i was told i had 5/32 thread which is fairly good i still went ahead and got new tires but still felt like my tires was not moving like it should. I then took it into a mechanic shop which was montes car shop in north mpls we did a test drive and realized my front wheels were not engaging the only tires that were spinning was the back wheels. So at that point they ran a abs diagnostic there were codes no showing regarding my awd at all, so they did a full inspection and stated it was a blown mini fuse that operates the front diff actuator and replaced it. I've driven the car and i am not sureif the problem has been fixed not only that the car is not giving offany sensors or codes regarding my awd not working which is very dangerous and life threatening there should be some way for the car to have sensors notifying me the myall wheel drive is not working or engaging.

Vehicle purchased in sept 2014, within a month and only driving it 550 miles i was parking vehicle, at the time didnt realize how it happened but vehicle went into reverse and went into a pole in parking lot.repair to back bumper at dealer was $791.59. I paid and just went on.then i get a recall notice saying this could happen, driver error.now i get a recall saying it is something they are going to repair in vehicle.i contacted fiat chysler to discuss being reimbursed for this repair and they are saying they would not cover it. I was at a dr appointment at the hospital parking lot when this occured, vehicle went into a cement pole. I do have copies of repairs, just can download them.

My complaint is about my defectiveexhaust pipe system on my 2014 chrysler 300 that caught on fire on a city street on the way home. I had immediately contacted a tow truck company to take it to a chrysler repair shop to see exactly what was the problemand it was exactly what i thought it was. So they showed me the exhaust pipe when i saw it i was shocked to see this because i bought this car brand new it is not five years old yet. The price they charged me to fix the defective was 1,430.00 to fix something that i had no control over. So if you could please implement a safety recall i will greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

The car was put into park and rolled down the driveway, across the street, into a ravine and hit a tree.

A few different times i've been driving along typically as the automatic car shifts foo a higher speed the car sounds like it is accelerating and is stuck at 3000 rpms.i'm concerned because even when i touch the gas pedal it doesn't seem to change the acceleration.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. While driving 2 mph, the vehicle shifted into park, stalled, and failed to restart. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer (pamby motors chrysler jeep dodge ram, 665 danbury rd ridgefield, ct 06877, 203-403-0115) where it was diagnosed that the engine control module wires melted and the cruise control needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 189,000.

My car was parked in a parking lot idling in parkwhile i was at an atm machine and jumped out of park after i had just got to the atm and hit another car that was parked. I had to replace the entire front of my car and have it painted at a high cost to me.i didn't take any photos. I bought the parts from ebay and had the bumper and cover painted at a local chrysler dealer.

The car rolled away while it in a parking lot while it was turned off. I had to run after it and jump in to stop it

My car is ticking with only 106000 miles on it

Cruise would not shut off when i touched the brake ! also when i pushed the cruise off switch ! happened several times now. Also will and will not come on at times when i try to set it on an open road .looked online and saw that this year had a recall ,so hopefully i can get your help on this.thanks !

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. Upon coming to a complete stop with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle surged forward several times without warning. The contact had to apply force to the brake pedal and, in some instances, both feet were applied to the brake pedal to prevent the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer more than once and they were not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The vehicle was parked at the contact's residence due to the fact that the failure could recur without warning. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

I was coming out of a parking lot,got in the median try to get over into the next lane, car pulled off start to jerk as if i was pressing the brakes and the gas..seem like the car wanted to go but didnt wanna go..causing me ro all most getting hit from behind..i pulled over turn off my car.restarts the car as i being to pull of the car gain fast speed then back to normal..i only had the car two week only drive it two days before i had to take it back because of the brakes.its a brand new car got it with 22 miles on it.when i purchase the car i found a letter that said..car is under recall do not sell.i ask 2 managers and they told me nothing was wrong and the car was never on recall..what do i do now?also when i purchase the car i smelled a burning smell.i ask the sales men what it was i was told that the smell of a new car..was told it was some spray that the factory sprayed on now it burning off is that true.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. On several occasions, the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to rocky top chrysler jeep dodge (located at 3315 winfield dunn pkwy, kodak, tn 37764, tel: 865-932-4144), but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The contact stated that the failure recurred six times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the only recourse would be to go to arbitration. The approximate failure mileage was 35,000...updated 08/22/17

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. While driving various speeds, the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 108,377.

The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving 73 mph on cruise control, the brakes activated independently. The contact stated the brake warning light was illuminated. The contact owns a 2014 chrysler 300. The contact stated that the cruise control function failed to work when applied. As the failure progressed, the cruise control activated without warning and the contact had difficulty shutting it off. The warning lamps also illuminated for the abs and stability traction control. The vehicle was difficult to shift gears and the contact had to place the vehicle into reverse versus drive several times while experiencing the failure. The contact shut the vehicle off and back on, but the warning lamps continued to flash intermittently. The dealer was notified of the cruise control failure and was not able to replicate and diagnose the failure. The vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v634000 (electrical system) and was waiting beyond a reasonable timeframe for the part to schedule the recall repair.

I bought goodyear tires at a dealership. They said they had to order them from chrysler. The dealership had to balance the tires 3 times. I was without my car for 5 days, but they did provide a rental. I was called to drive the car tuesday with the head mechanic, and the front right side was still wobbly. The mechanic said it was the tires because they were goodyear and not michelin's (that's what was on the car originally). I told the dealership that i was not happy with the ride of the tires and i wanted to pay the difference and get the michelin tires. I was told today that they (dealership) contacted chrysler and they said no, they will not take the tires back. I have only driven on the tires 3 times, once back to the dealership after they put the tires on. The second time i drove home after the second balancing wasn't correct, and the third time, back to the dealership. I feel this is outrageous that chrysler won't take these bad tires back. They shouldn't even sell these! i've noticed there are several complaints about this tire which includes the same thing i'm complaining about, wobbling. I once worked for chrysler and i am also going to contact someone at chrysler headquarters. I would definitely like a response to this complaint! i bought the tires on april 30, 2019, took my car back the same day, took it in on friday, may 2, 2019, and now picking it up today, may 9, 2019.

I was driving straight forward at about 20mph on a bridge where the road was clear with no ice or snow and my car did a 360 spin out in the middle of traffic.
