After receiving several post cards to get the airbag recall, i brought the car to dadeland chrysler/jeep on march 12, 2019. After keeping the car the whole day i was told my car did not qualify for the recall, the service mgr and i spoke with chrysler customer service who refuse to approve the airbag replacement, and the dealer did not do the work because it was not going to be reimbursed. Since then i have received several calls from chrysler and each time i have explained what happened, then i am told they will check and get back to me and i never hear from them again. Bottom line, chrysler corp refuses to do the airbag recall and i need your agency to get involved in this matter. I have also file a complain with the florida highway safety and motor vehicle but i doubt they will take action on the matter. I hope you force chrysler to carry out the mandated recall and fine them for refusing to carry out the nhsa order. I hope to hear from you regarding the outcome of my complain.

I, requested palmen chrysler,5431 75th street,kenosha,wis.53142,[xxx] service consultant,to repair/replace the air bag housing.he set up a appointment for 08/03/15@ 07:30am. I was there and he claimed they did not have the parts and would call me. I called chrysler/fiat@ 1800-853-1403.'[xxx]" ,informed me that my car wouldn't be repaired until mid nov. To mid december. ,i asked for a loaner, she said no. I told her that i would be 65 years of age in 2 weeks and it was a serious inconvenience to me and my family.she didn't care. I feel that i should be given a replacement loaner car until chrysler can fix this problem.my life,as well as my family's should not be put in jeopardy because of this companies continuation of screw-ups! or, they can buy this car back from me for the blue book value! you try to buy american as the motto goes and you get junk and treated like dirt! when i had work and repairs done by palmen they wanted to be paid ! i want to be treated in same manner! thank you!information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I was notified of the airbag problem on my vehicle approximately about a year ago or longer. I was first informed the parts were not available to fix the problem. I was later informed the parts were available & to contact my local service dealer. When i contacted them, i was told they didn't have the parts but would call me when they got them. I never got a call form them. When i called again today, i was told they would only service my car during weekdays (although their service department is open on both saturdays & sunday's), which i am unable to do because i work and only have that vehicle for transportation. This constitutes an unreasonable amount of time & their unwillingness to fix my vehicle on a weekend further demonstrates the chrysler service department is acting in bad faith in remedying the recall.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment with my local dealer, i requested a rental car so i could get around and get to work while the repairs are being made. I have not gotten anywhere. I requested the rental at no charge since this isn't my doing, its no fault of my own and now i have to take time time out of my busy day to bring it the car to get fixed. Its a real hassle. They can simply provide me a vehicle to use while the repairs are going on. I will not schedule another appointment until i receive a voucher or compensation for a rental. Mopar has got nothing accomplished here either.

Drivers side seat warmer burned a hole through the seat cover and burned a hole through the coat i was wearing. I was driving on the highway when i felt 'pinching' on my lower back and smelled a burning odor. I turned off the seat warmer and drove the vehicle home. I was instructed by by my local chrysler dealer to call chrysler directly and get case number. Did so.. Case number 75085832. Never received a call back after 4 follow up calls. Dealer will not fix until chrysler looks at it.

My wife went to santa rose to visit her sister, parked the car in drive way later that day went to go out again the car would not start. Called aaa to help out the man could not find the problem. I had to rent a trailer to bring it home 50+ miles away from where we live. My mechanic found that the ignition was dead but the batter was charged. His test brought him to look at the (win and the (pcm)as being the issue at hand.we have grand children and she looks after then, this could have been a more serious problem then just a pain in the [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

When driving down the street, my car cuts off without any notice. I can place it in neutral and immediately start it back up.

I own a 2009 chrysler 300c, which has been having consistent problems with the engine shutting off while driving down the busy highway.the vehicle is stalling, quitting, not starting on the first try, fail to keep running once started, or completely stop on its own recognizance.i feel unprotected because my vehicle automatic shut off and could cause death or serious injury.the performance of this vehicle and its equipment is leading me into unreasonable anxiety for my safety due to the sudden stopping in heavy traffic, leading to no steering power, no electric signals, and grave possibility of death.this vehicle is only five (5) years of age and should not be showing signs of inefficiency.

Car was cutting out at random times while driving. Sometimes it would restart itself within 5 seconds sometimes i had to throw it in neutral and restart it. Sometimes all the lights would come on the dash, sometimes no lights. Was not generating a code. It happened at all speeds, very dangerous. Twice i took it in and they couldn't fix it. I thought about it and was suspicious of the key. I put the car in park, started it and tapped on the key. The car stalled. I did this while driving also. I took it to the dealer, told them what i discovered and they replaced the winn(?) module for the small sum of $472.00. The module is where the key goes in. It's my understanding that some other chrysler vehicles have been recalled for this problem. They obviously didn't get mine. This happened this summer.

Got in car to drive, driver seat warm (thought due to parked in phoenix sun).but within 10 minutes unbearable heat driver seat, needed 2 pads to protect. Seat heater was off, no light, but i toggled switch to see if help, it did not.car parked at work 15 minutes after starting journey.2 1/2 hrs later person in parking lot noted smoke coming from inside car, called fire department.they noted inside full of smoke and glow under driver seat.opened door to extinguish fire and car burst into flames ala the movie backdraft. Entire interior melted.

Truck moved into my lane, tried to honk horn(s) but failed to work. Once in a quiet place, discovered horn makes a very faint noise but no honk and no volume from either horn. The fact that it makes a faint noise means it is getting electric signal but failing to work as it should. Extremely dangerous, put my life in danger and now won't pass inspection.horn not working with engine off is also dangerous in parking situations.

The contact owns a 2009 chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving 55 mph the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken in the dealership and the technician diagnosed that the key needed to be replaced. The key was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.the current mileage was 83,000.updated 3/19/14updated 6/17/14updated 8/3/17

While driving at highway speed, the car completely shut down. The engine, interior lights, exterior lights, power steering, and power brakes all shut down. The car effectively was moving on a busy highway with no power.i had to pull over to the road side thru traffic and the car had to restart the car. This has started to happen frequently. I noticed that there were recalls on years prior to and after this year for ignition key issues. I only use the key while driving with no key ring attached. In the last few weeks this has occurred 4 times while at highway speed. In the year that i have owned it, this has happened at lower speeds but less frequently. I am now working evening hours and the lights shutting down has become a bigger issue.

On february 10,2017 the car would not start. I got a charge and drove it home.the next morning the car started.after driving for a while i realized my turn signals didn't work.it began raining and i realized the wipers didn't work.after checking furtheri found my horn didn't work either.

Car will not start when ignition switch is turned on. The alarm that indicates door is open still works but the car will not operate any other electrical functions like the windows, radio, lights, etc. I contacted chrysler and was told that no recall existed for the vehicle. However, i think this is a problem other consumers have also experienced and would like to see this matter investigated and resolved, if possible.

My chrysler 300 keeps loosing power. While driving on the highway at 65 mph the vehicle decides to lose its electrical power and the engine completely turned off.there was no braking power, the steering had no play but i was able to maneuver off to the left side of the road in medium traffic.i believe the keyless ignition system has a horrific defect. It is losing contact. The double sided integrated key, i believe, is losing contact with the integral ignition switch which also contributes to inconsistent starting procedure.

2009 chrysler 300.consumer writes in regards to vehicle sudden power loss while driving.the consumer stated all of the electronics in the vehicle went dead. There was no warning. He was able to restart the vehicle. On sunday march 21, 2016, the vehicle lost all power again, without prior warning. The engine instantly stopped running, forcing the consumer to man handle the vehicle without power steering or brakes. Updated 04/21/16.

This car has a plastic key fob used as the key.sometimes i turn the key and nothing happens.i have replaced the battery repeatedly in the fob itself.i wish it had a metal key so i could figure out if it is something in the ignition or in the fob itself.i'm afraid i am going to lose power when driving and crash.the dealer said a new ignition is over $1000 but i am not convinced this will solve my issue.i am also afraid an electrical problem could make my airbags not work or a fire inside.i know chrysler has recalled 2 million cars for ignition issues but mine has not been included thus far and i'm not sure why.i do not think the problem will magically correct itself, but it is intermittent with no rhyme or reason just depends

I own a 2009 chrysler 300c is exhibiting the following circumstances.stall is leading to unnecessary endangerment of my and other highway users' survivability.this automatically raises the risk of death for consumers utilizing the roadways be it two lane or multi- lanes, city or rural roads.my 2009 chrysler 300c is supposed to be a high performance vehicle and these deficiencies only add insult to injury.i do not believe the excuse of "we don't know" will satisfy the family of a loved one lost in a vehicle accident.i request a fail-safe protection when the following defects exist, i.e. Stall, sudden shutdown, loss of power, and in traffic appears out of the ordinary.chrysler is explicably compounds this stall safety problem by not providing the most efficient mechanical expertise available and swiftly correct this safety issue as an issue to consumers for satisfactory of this safety hazard.i have performed the initial risk assessments and potential hazards that may arise during the execution of mechanical malfunctions of my 2009 chrysler 300c.the ignition is either loose and not communication with the other components to properly operate the vehicles and continue to shut off, stall, stop, etc. Etc.etc.this empirical evidence points in the opposite direction of safety and further more compound this problem.there is a need and explanation given for these destructive mechanical malfunctions.i do not want a death, crash, injury, or fire.

While driving on the freeway my chrysler 300 died while i was accelerating into heavy traffic going approximately 55 mph.the vehicle just cut itself off.it lost power to the engine, i lost my power steering, nor could i brake.i was close to being slammed in the rear. I was able to maneuver it to the edge of the freeway because i was luckily in the right hand lane.it took several tries to get the motor to restart.this power loss has happened on several occasions and is very frightening.from time to time i must continue to turn the ignition to the start position.it appears that there is play within the ignition switch and no contact is made preventing it to power on.

Driving the vehicle on busy hi-way and the car stopped for no reason.no power unable to get above 5 miles per hour.

My vehicle stalled while turning into a driveway. I had to coast to a stop and restart the vehicle. It has stalled many times on me while at a low speed. Usually it happens while turning corners, going into driveways and sometimes at stops. I have almost been involved in accidents because of it stalling while turning. I have taken the car to my mechanic several times and have had a myriad of things fixed but to no avail it still does the stalling. If you know of any problems with this vehicle stalling i would like to know what i can do to fix this problem and if chrysler has had this problem with other vehicles. I feel unsafe as i never know when it will happen.

Fuel vapors are strong when i get gas, car is now leaking gas when itā€™s over half a tank

Vehicle had trouble shifting into next gear after leaving from a stop and accelerating.this occured in the beginning gears, but nothing with the higher up gears.transmission gets checked every 3,000 miles with the oil change.

After leaving from a stop and accelerating .... Transmission "kicked" ... Like it wasn't going into next gear.all fluids are checked every 3,000 miles.

I have a year with my vehicle and it hasn't gave me any problems until now that the automatic transmission fluid needs to get drained. The gears wont shift correctly.rpm's feel as though they are not rising proportionally to throttle input.throttle response feels dead in certain instances.sometimes the car will chirp/spin thetiresoff the line and the rpm's rise quickly, other times you can floor the car off the line and get absolutely nothing.general sluggishness in acceleration-significantly increased drop in rpm between shifts. So i looked it up and i found this article on 300 cars that from the makes 06-10 with rwd models the 42rletransmissionuses 'emcc'.the way it is programmed to operatein this 4 speed transmission causes serious drivability issues atorqueconverterclutch in an automatic transmission will lock/unlock at certain speeds, but thetorque converterclutch in the42rledoes not operate as chrysler describes it in the owner's manual. There is alot more people with that same problem so please try to give ower recall complain a look. I love the chrysler 300 series and would hate to keep going through this on a beautiful car.

I have the automatic transmission and i notice that my matrix will roll backwards if i have a 2009 chrysler town & country touring with 1000 miles on it. If i am stopped on an incline, while in a forward gear (e.g. Drive). If i take my foot off the brake, the car will roll backwards - like a car with a manual transmission would. Is this normal behavior? i took it to a chrysler dealership and they stated that it was.

The contact owned a 2009 chrysler 300. While stationary, the vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. As a result, the contact rear ended a third vehicle. The front end of the contact's vehicle was significantly damaged. Both the driver and passenger side seat belts malfunctioned and the air bags failed to deploy. Both the driver and front seat passenger sustained head and neck injuries, which required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 150,000.

While driving the vehicle the low tire pressure light came on, i checked and found my front tire looked low. I went to unscrew the valve cap and it kept turning, upon further inspection i found the metal valve stem was cracked and the schrader valve was only being held in by a burr from the cracked metal stem. At that point i was unable to put any air into the tire. The potential for the schrader to just blow out of the stem and cause instant deflation of the tire is why i am reporting this. The metal stems seem to be cheaply made.

On february 10,2017 the car would not start. I got a charge and drove it home.the next morning the car started.after driving for a while i realized my turn signals didn't work.it began raining and i realized the wipers didn't work.after checking furtheri found my horn didn't work either.

Neitherrear door will not open from inside or outside of the car. Neither will they unlock from driver or passenger side

Car is hesitant to crank after trying to start back up tried starter, alternator, battery still having problems

Driving the vehicle on busy hi-way and the car stopped for no reason.no power unable to get above 5 miles per hour.

I have a 2009 chrysler 300 that intermittently shuts itself off while driving. When it does this, it loses al power. Lights, flashers, dash lights all turn off. I lose power steering, power brakes and have to manually steer it and brake it to get it off to the side of the road. Once it is out of traffic i put it in park, turn off the key and then, and only then, i can restart it. When all of this happens, there is no codes. I took it to the dealership where i purchased it and they said that everything is fine because there isn't any codes. I called chrysler customer service and filed a case. #78850950. They claimed to have any prior knowledge of this happening on any other chrysler product. The last time the car shutdown i was making a left hand turn and it shut itself down as i was going across a very busy highway and it almost caused an accident as cars swerved out of the way so not to hit me broadside. Neither chrysler or it's dealership will help me get this problem fixed stating that they have done everything that they are required to do and that the diagnostic machines says there isn't a problem. I suggested that they take the car and drive it around because it will indeed repeat in a couple of days time. The dealership told me that since it's a 2009 that i would be better off getting a new car.i told them that i want this one fixed. They told me that it would cost me thousands for them to hook up test equipment and drive it around. It is in my opinion that this is a safety issue and it will be only a matter of time before someone is killed. There are several similar complaints on the internet. I offer you this car to inspect and drive and see if what i am telling you is in fact what is occurring. What bothers me the most, that this car shuts off all the power and there isn't a single code being generated by the computer.
