Takata airbag complaint. The dealer has only replaced the driver side and after repeated attempts (over the course of almost 2 years) has never contacted us to replace the passenger side airbag. The dealer keeps saying that the replacement part(s) is /are unavailable. Also - although we were original owners of this veh, we never received a recall notice. We had to do our own research.
When the car starts, there is no station listed on the radio. All i see is red lines and the longer i drive that part ( channel indicator) gets hot. It looks like there is fire behind it. I'm afraid to drive it because it looks like it will start a fire.it cools down when i turn off the car.i started the car this morning (6/15/14) now there are only about 4 lines showing, but it still starts to get hot.i'm going to try to take the car to the dealer(heritage chrysler dodge jeep ramowings mills,md. 21117 410-356-1800) which is about 10 miles from my house.
The car has only 92000 miles and maintained good. Since it was only 70000 miles the a.c stopped blowing cold air. It was diagnosed that inside the dashboard the evaporator is not working properly causing freon leak. And outrage repair of 2000 dollars will be the cost. This is a problem with many chrysler's 300 2005-2010. Since that is a main issue why there is no recall on this part? it seems like that company knows about this issue from over a 10000 customers and doesn't do anything about it. On their products chrysler guaranty that issue like this would not appear until vehicle reach at least 100000 miles.living in state of florida this is safety issue when temperatures reach 120 f in the vehicle.other issues include are fuel injectors and egr sensor causing the car to stop in middle of driving without no warning and it can cause serious accidents.i always support buying usa vehicles and we all need to contribute to our economy but if companies don't stand for their customers guaranty and quality everyone will purchase different vehicles with better quality.
Warning lights and instrument gauges will go on and off and while driving at night the headlights went out also. This is a real safety issue and have read other complaints about the same problem happening. Our car was bought new and only has 18000 miles on it.

The contact owns a 2007 chrysler 300 awd. The contact stated that the transmission failed and as a result, he was unable to shift out of park. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who stated that the transmission shifter interlock lever needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included on any recalls. The failure mileage was 39,602.
Went to put the car into drive, could not. Turns out the transmission shifter interlock lever spring hook failed. I found there was a recall (k39) for this part, but it was vin specific. Saw numerous complaints online as well as repair instruction. Called dealer who stated he hasn't heard of such a problem, but as a coincidence another 300 was being worked on today for the very same reason. Dealer also stated my vin did not fall within the recall category. Dealer wanted over $400.00 to replace the entire shifter housing instead of replacing the broken part itself and said the job would take about 3 hrs to perform.i went to a car parts store and bought a billeted aluminum replacement part for this specific vehicle. Installed it myself and saved $360.00 and a tow, plus down time. Fix was done in an hour.how chrysler can install a cheap .29 cent plastic part that takes the most beating and is so crucial to the proper operation of the vehicle and expect it to work is beyond me. This affects a lot of vehicles, not just mine. Good thing the car was in my driveway when it failed. I was lucky. Many others are not.this is completely unacceptable for a $30,000 car.
I went to drive the vehicle one day and it wouldn't shift out of park.i did considerable research online and found numerous reports of the same thing happening.the reported issue is that the transmission gear shift lever interlock spring breaks resulting in the vehicle being stuck in park.i found a temporary bypass method until i could get it repaired.online, i found that there was a possible recall: chrysler customer satisfaction notification k39.i called chrysler recall assistance center and they advised that although there is a recall on some vehicles, my vin # was not included in the recall group, therefore i had to pay for the repair myself.i also searched on this website, and found another report of the same type: odi id number : 10470372.it is quite dissatisfied that i have to pay for the repairs myself when there is a recall for the exact same problem and based on my internet research this seems to be a widespread, common problem.i was fortunate that this happened at my house where i had access to the internet to research and locate a bypass and had tools available to dismantle the shifter assembly to access the bypass.this could cause a huge safety issue if somebody were to get stuck in a bad location and had to wait for a tow truck or some other method of help to arrive.
My car was stuck in park and would not move. I did some research and removed the components. I noticed that pink plastic shift releaser is not working properly. I also previously had a chrysler 300 and it was the same issue. It will cost me over $400.00 because i will have to replace entire shift interlock system because of one plastic part. I will try to replace it myself with billeted aluminum part that i can buy at the car parts store, instead buying the whole system. I don't understand why chrysler can not put more durable ones. Like i said i already owned one chrysler 300 and the same issue emerged, so when this issue happened i decided to write about it.
Upshift 1-2 bumpyhas slight hesitate. Downshift 2-1 thump in rear at slow speeds. Not a smooth transition thru these gears. Car has been calibrated several times with no clear fix to this problem. This situation seems to be a built in problem with awd chrysler 300c awd cars.this car has almost 20,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2007 chrysler 300 awd. While driving approximately 25 mph approaching a stop sign, the brakes suddenly locked without warning during application. The contact veered to the right to avoid another vehicle and immediately engaged the brakes repeatedly before the brakes began to function normally. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer twice for the similar failure and they were unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was recently taken to an independent mechanic who stated the failure was contributed to the abs control module. The mechanic also discovered a recall related to the defect under nhtsa campaign id number 06v493000 (service brakes, hydraulic: antilock: control unit/module). The vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 55,200.
The car won't shift into drive or neutral reverse it just won't move at all and i never had this problem nothing else is wrong with my car it just won't go into gear i had to get a tow truck to bring it home and how he got it on the truck he sprayed wd-40 and pull it on that's that way it was easy to slide up on a flatbed. So i'm wondering could it be the safety neutral switch on a 300
