Airbags light keeps coming on and chiming.
Vehicle's engine shut off while driving like the key would be pulled out, would not start right away, some times would not start at all before a trip. It happens daily and after going to 3 mechanics and 1 chrysler dealership the issue cannot be identified. No codes are stored and therefore they said it's working fine. Do i need to get into an accident before this problem is addressed? i know about many people having the same issue with the same unidentified error. They have this problem with the new models and they should start checking the old one as well. It is definitely an ignition problem as the car can be started by bypassing the key switch.
Vehicle had a delayed start. While in motion the car would deaccelerate, slow down, and misfire. The esp/abs indicator light would come on and an alert would continue to sound until the car was shut off. The car may or may not start and when started it continues to alert the next day. Major vibration in right front wheel, turns out i was almost killed, thankfully i pulled over the rack/pinion assembly broke! that was an over the weekend project for dealership. Luckily covered under warranty! now i have a binding noise in steering column, at the hook joint inside the boot covering joint, dealer greased, but noise is back, feels like column is going to snap! they won't look at without a charge! also have rattle in dash, knocking in brakes! i'm really sorry i purchased the vehicle, now i know why i got such a great deal! they just wanted to unload!!!!!concerned for my life!!!while driving my 300!!!!!!!!!!!!seriously,i do want to see my children's weddings!!!!!
Headlights will intermittently malfunction while driving.sometimes one headlight will go out, sometimes both will go out.the dealer is telling me that the headlight assembly needs to be replaced for both lights.many other owners with the hid headlight option are experiencing the same issue.randomly losing headlights is definitely dangerous!
The vehicle stalled while driving rendering it uncontrollable and with no power on the highway with speeds of 55 and over without warning. The vehicle has not started since the onset of the issue. After many costly repairs, my mechanic has labelled the issue as a bad/malfunctioning powertrain control module. The fuel pump, sending unit, and crank sensor have been replaced with no change. This is a common issue for this specific model. It has not started since november of last year.
I was driving as usual, went to my grandmothers house. Stayed about 20 minutes. When i left i started the car, went to put it in gear and nothing . It would not come out of gear. I had it towed monday and the tow truck driver informed me there had been a recall in the gear shift on other year chrysler 300. I called a chrysler dealership and they told me that yes it had been a recall on that particular part but not on my yr vehicle which is a 2005.if its a problem in other yr 300's then why not mine. Obviously it can happen to any year if its already had a recall on other year and the same car. They need to do a recall on all. I looked it up and there were alot of people who this has happened to and unexpected. My mechanic said when he took out the part, springs and pieces fell out the open part in the bottom of the part that he removed. I was told to save my receipt and if they do decide to recall, i can get a refund.
I was leaving work and started my cay and went to put it in reverse and nothing happen.it would not come out of park.the gear was locked in park . I called a tow truck, and the tow truck driver informed me that there has been a recall on the gear shift for chrysler 300s .i call the chrysler dealership and they told me that "yes there has been a recall on that particular part, but not on my year vehicle.i don't understand why not my year model.if its a problem in other year model, then it makes sense that it can happen to any year model 300.there are other people out there who this has happened to unexpected, and i don't feel the dealership is being fair to people who have the 2005 300 awd model.please look into this.thank you so much.
I was driving down the street when the car slowed down even though the rpm's went up as i tried to accelerate.i brought the car in and the valve pump in the transmission was replace.one week later the car failed again in the same manner.the second time i had to have the transmission replaced.had the traffic been different or someone with less experience been driving, it could have easily resulted in a fatality or injury.there was no way a driver could avoid an accident from the rear at that point.
2005 chrysler 300 c has warp front rotors. I have done some research on the net and am finding out that this is not a single case. The auto parts store rep stated to me that he had several people order new rotors.

Front right wheel makes loud banging sound. Started when the car had about 70,000 miles on it. Then came a horrible squeaking sound. This occurs constantly when driving and especially when turning the wheel. I replaced the lower control arm bushing in june. They were completley gone and made the wheels have a lot of play . The noise went away for about 3 months and is now back louder than ever.

During a routine tire rotation i was advised that the seal between the tire and wheel was failing on all 4 wheels as a result of corrosion occurring on the mag type wheel. The failure was temporarily repaired by sanding the wheel and resealing. Comment was made that there is no guarantee that the problem is solved. It is likely this will continue to occur as due to brine solution and road salt used during the winter months. The person doing the rotation stated this is a common occurrence on this vehicle with this type of wheel.
