The contact owns a 2017 chrysler 200. While driving, the vehicle hesitated while shifting gears and the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 59,766.

I noticed there were recalls for the following problems and i have seen all of these happen to my vehicle but they haven't been fixed. Cruise control wont come off unless you hit the brakes 5 or 6 times and randomly speeds up without shifting. When this started happening my gas mileage went way down and the engine light keeps flashing. The codes coming up are cylinder misfire and air fuel ratio. I have talked to several people who said they had a similar issue and their dealership fixed it. I was told there were no recalls and nothing could be done. Not happy

The vehicle was taken to cass burch chrysler dodge jeep ram valdosta (4164 n valdosta rd, valdosta, ga 31602) however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was however informed that the failure may be due to a defective light switch. The contact stated that the failure occurred mostly at night while driving. The contact also stated that the failure recurred twice. The contact stated that on several occasions while it was raining the instrument panel became inoperable. Additionally, while going over a bump in the roadway the failure recurred. The contact stated that her daughter wrote the manufacturer and was provided a case number. The manufacturer later closed the case. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000. The vin was not available.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that it needed an oil change. The vehicle was later taken to posner park chrysler dodge jeep ram fiat (located at 42650 us-27, davenport, fl 33837, (863) 438-3333) where it was diagnosed that the battery failed and needed to be replaced. The engine stalls when coming to a stop such as a stop light or stop sign. The engine also stalls and shuts off when accelerating after stopping. It stopped in the middle of an intersection while turning out of my apartment complex into a busy main road. I was able to coast off of the road and tried to restart. Upon trying to restart it hesitated to turn over and start. It took about 2 minutes before it finally started and it didn't want to accelerate. There was no warning that it was getting ready to stall. After it started up again a message came up saying that the electronic throttle needed to be serviced. This makes the 3rd time it had stalled but the 1st time it has given me any kind of indication why.

When i go to start the car with either fob i sometimes get a message "can not identify fob.what happens if i'm going down the road at 70mph and it cuts off becauseit can't identify fob.this car is41 months old and has approx. 33,000 miles.so far the car was still when the problem occurred next time i may be moving..this has happened about 10 time in the last 6 months with both fob's.

The vehicle literally cuts off while i am driving i have taken it the shop and when they put it on the machine it doesn't register any error codes or malfunction codes. However, it still shuts off. I have children and don't want to be in an accident when i know my car will shut off at a moments notice!

My 2017 chrysler 200 randomly shuts off, no notification until it tallest me to put the vehicle in park to restart it. No lights displayed on dashboard indicating a problem. This is a huge safety issue especially on busy streets with my children in the vehicle. Its happened multiple times over the last 2 weeks.

Car was moving slowing down for a bump and just shut off. No engine light or nothing came on came to a stop and tried to start it and it wouldn't start right back up took about five minutes and finally started up the car only had 44**** on it

Reviewing retrieved edr, the esc reports as on, then engages for 0.4 of a second, then turns off. A crash into a tree happens 2.9 seconds later. Was this fca stability control working effectively or was there a malfunction? the car spun a 360 circle and control was lost at 2.9 seconds to zero seconds on a city street. *dsy

Parked vehicle. While vehicle engine still running and placed in park, i removed my driver side seat belt. Within 10 seconds of doing so, the panel flashed that the awd was disabled, the traction control light came on, and the warning indicator stated to "have parking brake serviced" i had not engaged the electronic parking brake manually, but attempted to reverse the vehicle, only to find the parking brake had engaged on it's own. I work in automotive warranty, so i logged into my work account and found that this is a similar problem with a short in the electronic parking brake sytem and is related to the seat belt.i placed vehicle in park, cut the power to the engine, waited for a few minutes, replaced my seat belt and restarted the vehicle. Also, an abnormal knocking noise was detected. Furthermore, oil had to be added to the vehicle every three hundred miles. The vehicle was taken to butler chrysler dodge jeep (1555 salem rd, beaufort, sc 29902, (843) 474-0557) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was operating normally. I purchased my vehicle brand new in 2017 and started experiencing issues within the first year. The car has cut off multiple times while driving, without warning, in the middle of rush hour traffic. It also frequently stalls. I've taken my vehicle to 3 different dealerships in 2 different states at least 10 times.two of the three dealerships claimed that the problem was some sort of fuse underneath the driver's seat. After the car continued to shut off without warning, i was told that it was due to low oil. I've called chrysler's headquarters who has given me a free oil change package and instructed me to return to a dealership every 500 - 1000 miles for an oil consumption test. They know that the car is burning an unusual amount of oil which is a clear indication that there's a problem.instead of issuing a recall, they continue to put lives in danger by giving them back their death trap of a car and instructing them to check and get frequent oil changes. I'm guessing their hope is to keep the oil changes going until the warranty runs out. Someone's going to lose their life or get seriously injured in these cars, i just pray that it's not me.

My 2017 chrysler 200, that i purchased on october 8, 2018 has started to just shut down while i'm driving, with no warning. This is extremely dangerous especially in the type of busy traffic that i drive in, daily. I'm thankful that the times it did shut off, it happened in my neighborhood, while i was slowing down to stop at a stop sign, and before i'd gotten into heavy traffic. It shut down on december 20, 2019 at a stop sign, and the exact same thing happened again on december 22, 2019. Both times, it didn't restart immediately when i pressed the start button. It stalled for a moment the first time, and perhaps 2 minutes the second time. I turned on my emergency blankers the 2nd time it happened, and i let other drivers know to go around me because it took a little longer to restart. This isn't safe, nor is it good for me as a consumer. That's why i bought an almost new car so i wouldn't have issues such as this while driving.

The contact owns a 2017 chrysler 200. While the contact's son was driving the vehicle, the engine began to overheat and smoke. The vehicle stalled while being pulled over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to autonation chrysler dodge jeep ram houston (located at 11515 south loop west, houston, tx 77054, 713-489-7825) where it was diagnosed that the engine coolant, intake fuel, exhaust manifold, and vault exhaust gasket failed and needed to replaced.the engine is completely out. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 73,000. *ln

I can be driving at regular speed but if i turn the corner or start to dexcelorate or start slowing down, my car will shut completely off. This has happened on numerous occasions and the car dealership keep saying it's no recall on my vehicle.

Car stalls without notice any time. Has trouble starting back once it has stalled. Transmissions jumps/shifts hard daily (once or twice daily)

The contact owns a 2017 chrysler 200. While driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle stalled and the check engineand service electronic throttle control warning indicators flashed. The contact waited approximately 30 minutes to restart the vehicle. Afterwards, the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated that the failure occurred two other times; one time the "service air bag system" message appeared and the other time the electronic stability control indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the vehicle needed oil. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 55,191.

My chrysler 200 started shutting itself off while driving. The lights and radio stay on but the brakes and steering are manual. The dealership informed me that i was low on oil and that the car is equipped with a safety feature to shut the car off when oil is low. This car is 10 mths old and only 11k miles. It continued after that visit and after shaming chrysler on twitter, they opted to replace the motor. The problem is this car shuts off while driving. The engines are the same and this problem will kill someone. The auto is not equipped with a low oil light and i have been told to check oil every month! i am picking the car up today with an engine that is new to this car but, i am petrified to drive it. If it shuts off on the freeway, how am i to get over before i get hit. Chrysler states that is no problem if this engine is faulty because they will cover under warranty. What will it take-someone dying? i do not want to be that person. Since i am going to get this death trap i called to make sure they fixed the cruise control. Dealership stated that the car is not on recall. From all my research all 200's are on recall. So, now i have a car that will turn off when the oil gets low (with no warning light to tell you oil is low) and i cannot use the cruise control.

Has happened on highway and city streets when i accelerate sometimes the rpms get stuck at 4000. And there is also lag from my acceleration when i take off and will get stuck at high rpms when i slow down while coasting and braking only way i've gotten it to stop is by tapping on my gas again.

Vehicle started to stall today while driving. It stalled multiple times and one point it stalled entering a major road. It also has a kick in the engine while driving like it's changing gear. This is ridiculous if this being going on with otherfor these model for a while why are they still being sold. The car is only 49000 miles now i have to find money to repair

I was driving towards an intersection to merge right onto the main highway when i was in motion still my car shut off and said 'shift to p' when i did so it wouldn't restart. The steering locked up and i couldn't move. It did not give me any warning or sign it was going to do so. I had almost pulled out onto the highway too. The radio and everything worked just fine. This happened once last year on a curvy two lane highway and i got lucky that i had a turn off when my car shut off. I called chrysler and they apparently reset the system and it has been good since. It's not the alternator and it is not the battery. We ruled that out then. Jumping it does not fix the problem.

Engine and transmission mount(s) were separating from vehicle.

The contact owns a 2017 chrysler 200. While driving at low speeds, the service transmission shifter warning indicator illuminated. In addition, the emergency brakes unintentionally engaged and the contact was unable to move the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the failure previously occurred and the shifter was replaced. A multitude of different issues with the transmission; transmission will experience delayed shifts (or delays when shifting into reverse, drive or any other gear then vehicle will clunk into gear), harsh shifting, random down shifting while driving and slamming into gear, squeaking noise when shifting from reverse to drive. Took the vehicle into the dealership for servicing where they looked over, they noticed the issues and ran software updates on my shifter and for the transmission. The problem still persisted so the tech contacted fca and they informed the dealership that "it's supposed to do that." this is not the norm of any transmission.

I purchased a 2017 chrysler 200 limited from steve lander's chrysler dodge jeep february 12, 2018.on february 24,2018 i had to return my vehicle do to my vehicle acceleratingon it's own when my foot was removed from the brake pedal. Upon accelerating my gas gusher would drop a not h each time. February 23, 2018 my vehicle did an update that night; that at when it started.i called the dealership the same night and talk with emil the finance manager.he told me to bring it in the next day. Which was february 24, 2018. Myi was told it was ready one week later so i go to pick it up. The problem wasn't fixed. I left it there. I received a phone call from melinda saying a technician drove my car and the transmission slammed so hard the tech thought it fell out the vehicle. So my transmission was replaced. So i picked my car up april 2018;one week later it is jerking as i drive down a hill. Them again in a flat parking g lot. So i call the dealership to return it and they can't get it to duplicate what ot was doing. So melinda calls and tell me to pick my car up and if o keep having problems return it.my car is still jerking and at 38-42 it changes gears roughly.

Car accelerated to 50 mph in a parking lot, was able to veer out of parking lot into main road. Unable to stop using brakes. Eventually hit a median and the accelerating stopped. Upon having vehicle towed to dealership, they couldn't find any codes or issues.
