The pretensioners on my seatbelts don't seem to be engaging. Noticed while stationery.

On jan 3rd 2019 i had an accident (front impact) and the front airbags deployed - but the biggest problem is - the airbags did not even come close to my face -- it was 10 inches away from my face and immediately defused. I was really appalled and i strongly believe its a defective airbag and it was no way saving my life. Both airbags in the front was the same way. I need help from nhsta to investigate the car and identify if indeed its a defective airbag so we can work with the manaufacturer

Chrysler needs to step up and do the honorable thing 'fix the problem' or replace the vehicle before it is to late. Action needs to be taken asap!i tried everything to get the my vehicle fix and getting no where with this waiting to 2023 is not the answer here.

While traveling on a new york state highway, all of the sudden all the dash warning indicators flashed on/off, the transmission shifted to low gear, the radio, ac and other electronics turned off.the car stalled right there in traffic.we had tried shifting gears, pushing the accelerator, and could not get the car to respond to anything.we did manage to coast to the side of the road.after a minute, we attempted and were able to start the car but it stalled out almost immediately.further attempts to restart the car were not successful.after approximately 20 minutes, we were able to restart the car, and drive it to a garage less than 1 mile away.it did stall on us again, but in the driveway of the garage.the mechanic at the garage tested the battery, and the battery was fine ? we were able to drive to the garage luckily because the battery charge had the power to get us there.however, once we got the car running, idling, again; a volt-meter showed that the alternator was not charging the battery.it was very disappointing; but we had to replace the alternator. The new alternator is part # rl801624ad.we have done some research and have found chrysler recall p60.this recall affects vehicles with a 3.6l engine and a 160 amp alternator.while my 200 model is not on the recall list, i believe it should be added to the recall.my car has the same 3.6l engine and 160 amp alternator as the other models affected.in reading the description(s) of the recall and the failure i believe i experienced this same problem.this same failure happened to me again the other day, after i have replaced the original alternator.i got in my vehicle to drive home, started the car, pulled out of the parking lot and just as i got onto the road (busy, city street) my car stalled with all the same symptoms ? flash of the warning indicators, loss of all power.

Upon picking my 2011 chrysler 200 limited convertible up from the dealer after it was there for a few days for a recall for the head restraint (n38) and had an engine cylinder head replaced i noticed that the driver's side heated seat light was off. So far the heated seat itself seems to be working ok. I called the dealership (danbury, ct) and let them know of the issue, they want to charge me even though to me and to any logical person this is a direct result of work they did to my chrysler, and may or may not be related to some sort of other problem. For it to happen immediately following computer updates, engine cylinder head replacements and other work they did is not a coincidence. I am unemployed and in grad. School and cannot, nor should not, pay for additional work done to this lemon of a car. Please look into this issue regarding the heated seat light. And to all prospective chrysler buyers - run.

The electrical system started to cut in and out while driving down the highway.as i started to slow down for a stop light the vehicle lost all power.the engine died and there was no lighting.this happened at night and the car could not even turn on the hazard lights.after 15 minutes the car regained power and staryed.the navigation system was not functioning....it was just a bright white screen.after idling for 10-15 more minutes. I shut the car off and restarted it.it has been normal for the paat week.

"takata recall" my car currently has 66,000 miles. I was driving in the mountains and the engine light and ets light lit up. More importantly my speed was affected. Since then, this has happened over 6 times. 2nd, was wethighway conditions. 3rd, and 4th on the highway with perfect weather, driving at 75 mph both engine and ets lights came on as well as parking brake light and car reduced speedto 55 mph before i could speed up. 5th, entering a street at a complete stop, turned right and sped up because of oncoming traffic. Speed reduced to 20 mph and i almost was rear-ended. After this near collision, i took to a chrysler dealership. For two weeks, they could not replicate the problem and therefore had no solution. I drove the car with the tech and could not replicate the problem.that same evening i was backing up from a parking space and both lights came on and my speed was affected until my next stop. I stopped at a gas station and when i re-started the engine light remained on, but the ets light went out. My speed was no longer affected. The next morning 5/24/17 i started my car and neither light stayed on.

After stopping at a light, i started to make a left turn on a slight decline.the car stalled out and i began rolling into the intersection until i realized i had no power.the car stalled on two other occasions at later dates also from a stop.

My new car stalled only a few days after i purchased it. I was at a stop light and i didn't know why i wasn't able to drive.i had to re-start my vehicle.since then it has stalled about 12 times in the last year; always when i'm at a stop light. One time i was in the middle of an intersection waiting to turn left and it stalled on me.the dealer installed a co-pilot after i escalated it and they were not able to diagnose it.the dealer called me on may 31, 2012 and told them that they would replace my car with a 2012 chrysler 200 convertible since it was unsafe for me to drive. He mentioned that the first few convertibles that were built in the early months seemed to have this problem.i received my new 2012 convertible on july 21 but i am still fighting with them to get my service and warranty contracts.

While traveling on the highway at 70mph the engine just stopped with no warning.

Initially the problem started a couple of months ago, the car just shut down while driving and did restart after disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it while driving at 65 mph 1 week ago the car just shut down. Thank god i was able to get it over to the shoulder twith no power steering or power brakes.it did restart after disconnecting the battery and restarting it. I called chrysler and they said there was no recall for it shutting down.just a passenger restraint recall.last friday i was driving along at 55mph when it shut down again.the car could not be restarted this time and was towed to chrysler dealership in lakewood nj.the service department is telling me it's my battery, because they are not finding any error codes.there was nothing wrong with my newer battery until i was parked on the side ofthe road for over an hour with my flashers on so i wouldn't get hit by the cars passing by me at 60mph!!does someone have to get killed before the stalling issues are recognized and repaired???i am still seeing complaints now, of drivers in the last 6 months who have just shut down like me.this problem is still out there and needs attention by chrysler acknowledging owners when we come in for cars shutting down. This is not a low risk situation,, it is life threatening and doesn't need a tragic death to occur before chrysler acknowledges the problem is real!!i'm now being charged by chrysler close to $500 for diagnotic tests and a new battery, 137.00 for a rental car,,, this is unacceptable.

Headlights inadequate -only illuminates about 2 or 3 car lengths ahead with a distinct drop off of vision . Highly unsafe as driver cannot see further up highway. Especially unsafe at upper speeds as you are outrunning your head lights. Dealer says this is normal for projected beam headlamps. Dealer tech acknowledged as unsafe condition.

While coming down a steep hill, i put my car in low gear, 2nd to be exact. During the process of being in second gear, my brake light came on while going down the hill. This has never happened before and i only have 24,000.00 miles on my vehicle.

Once i drove the vehicle off the enterprise lot i notice that the steering was not stable. I called in for the recall and they stated that my vin was not effected. However my vehicle was purchase via enterprise as part of a fleet. Could this be the reason when i asked them to just look at my vehicle i was told no because my vin was not included. Vehicle still has the same issue when i hit a bump in the road. If feel like your going to lose control of the car.

While traveling on the highway at 70mph the engine just stopped with no warning.

The seal around the driver side and passenger side windows leak continuously when it rains or going through the automatic car wash! i've had the seal replaced at least 4 times and it still leaks!

The contact owns a 2011 chrysler 200 convertible. While attempting to close the electronic hard top roof, the message "top malfunction" displayed and the hard top roof would not lock into place. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (larry h. Miller tucson chrysler jeep, 7800 east 22nd st, tucson, az) where it was diagnosed that the roof header motor was defective and needed to be replaced; however, the parts were not available. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.

I purchased this car in 2011.when i first hit a depression in the roadway it felt like i would lose control.i just brushed it aside thinking that it was an isolated instance.a few months after owning the car, i was coming back on highway 80 from tahoe down to the valley.the grooves in the road had me white knuckled driving, as i pretty much felt that i had no control of the vehicle.in a 65 mph zone, i was doing 40 in the slow lane to try to keep the vehicle under control.when i brought it to the dealership they said that they could not find anything wrong.i don't take that car on highway 80 anymore, and when i know there are depressions and slight highway pavement roughness during my every day commute, i am sure to grab the wheel tightly, as i know all the areas along my commute that makes driving over those spots shaky.please, please have someone check this vehicle out.it is dangerous.i have been trying to sell it because it feels unsafe, but a dealership won't give me what the blue book is worth, and i don't feel right about selling to a private party due to the safety issues.by the way, i found out the struts have been leaking (under 40k miles!!!) and that is a cost of 1,441.00.this car really is an unsafe vehicle.i could not find any lemon laws for this vehicle, but did find so many others that had the same issue.also, i believe i already filed a complaint regarding the headlights.another hazardous issue with this vehicle.
