Recently the service air bag warning came on and stays on , i think i was just sitting still when it happened,
The first time my airbag light came on and stayed on for several weeks and then one day was not on. Just recently on 5/15/19 my service air bag light came on again. My car has not been in an accident at all.my windshield wiper fluid will not disperse as well wiper arm hand was replaced lines were checked and fluid in the reservoir and still no fluid available which affects visibility when anything splashing on the windshield. The service airbag light came on suddenly one day when i started up my car.
Takata recall.my airbag sensor will come on and stay on for a few days. Then after a few days it will only come on once in a while and a few days after that it won't come on all. It does not matter if i am driving or stopped on on any surface at any speed.

The air bag light turns on and off for the past 3 days. I have taken it too the dealer in my hometown and the tech there said that this is a common issue for this model and chevy knows that its a easy and profitable one to repair. Someone please look in to this its not cool to have something like an airbag say it need service just to have them say that. The fix cost me 145.59 and it took them around 8 or 10 mins to repair it. Odd don't you think.

The windshield washer fluid mechanism on top of the hood along with the fuse is faulty. Fuse as well as mechanism motor have been replaced and still no water will come out to clean the windshield. The air bag light is now on all of a sudden stating to service airbags.

When pulling into a gas station doing approximately 5mph, the driver and both driver side and passenger side air bags deployed unexpectedly.the drivers side seatbelt also locked up and can no longer be used.nothing was hit in order to cause this to happen.

As i was parked in my driveway the service airbag light came on and then went away after a couple of days. Just recently the light came back on after a little over a month.

Air bag light continues to come on even after taking it to dealership to get the recall fixed. Dealership team says it is fixed but light continues to come on. I'm not sure if the maintenance team has really fixed the recall or they are just resetting the alert.
Takata recall, the airbag service light continues to come on as service air bag in my instrument panel. So now i have to pay to service my air bag because i have passed the 30k bumper to bumper warranty. No one should have to worry about an airbag not deploying or deploying at the wrong time.the car was stationary each time the light was on. The light stays on for about 5 to 10 minutes and then goes out. Gm needs to recall all of their air bag issues and fix them asap

Dashboard displays "service airbag" randomly and intermittently.i looked up special coverage 15804 and brought vehicle to dealership where i purchased.my vin doesn't have the special coverage but the diagnostics are the same as described.dealership agreed to obtain dic code which is b0014.this code is included in special coverage 15804 but my vin hasn't been included.the service airbag lighthas come on while driving and upon ignition.
I was slowly backing out of my garage when all of a sudden my 2015 traverse accelerated to 40-50 miles per hour to my horror. I felt like i was in the indy 500. The car backed into a tree in my front yard, then at the same high speed lifted off the groundand raced forward and crashed into 2 parked cars in my back yard. Had the 2 parked cars not stopped me my neighbors feel i would have gone into the lake in my back yard. My air bag did not go off, yet the one in the empty parked car did go off. All 3 vehicles were a total loss.
Since august( around 08/25/19), i've been having a service air bag notifcation which i've took to the chevrolet dealership services. I was told there were a senor to be replaced and payed for the replacement. September ( around 09/18/2019), the service air bag came on again less than a month with the same notification. I was told then there was a second senor that needed to be replaced. Here i am now in november (11/20/19) with the service air bag notifcation on my dash board again for the third time. I'm in the process of contacting chevrolet once more about this. I reserach the recall but there is no recall for my vehicle. I'm unsure if anyone else having the same issues. The light either pop up at the start of turning on the vehicle or during the drive. Normally on the first day of notification it will go off after second crank but within 3 days will return and will not turn off. This part is not a cheap part plus adding dealership fees.
Air bag light came on and it was a factory plug that isn't making a good connection i had to pay a chevy garage to soldier its a factory service bulletin
My airbag service required light came on in july of 2019. I took it to gosh chevy and it was repaired under warranty. The same problem of the airbag service light reoccurred in april of 2020. I took it back to gosh chevy and was told it was no longer under warranty and that it would cost me $150 to investigate the problem and what ever the costs involved to repair the problem would be on me. As a safety item as important as an airbag i would think checking their original repair would be covered by them.
Airbags light is always on . Problem with terring wheel too hard to turn
My airbag light remains on after having it fixed. My stabilitrac and traction control comes on randomly after having it fixed twice. Then being told it's a sensor that makes it come on, and they are having a hard to reproducing the issue at chevy service center. It makes it difficult to accelerate and makes truck jerk. My wife and i were driving our 2015 chevrolet traverse on the interstate traveling at 80mph. When i took my foot off the accelerator the accelerator stayed in the down position and continued to accelerate the vehicle. We were up to 90 mph. I put my feet on the brakes and was able to slow the vehicle to 70mph. The accelerator was still stuck in the floored position and fighting the brakes. I was able to manipulate my foot behind the accelerator and after several attempts to pull the accelerator up it released. There was a loud clunk and we were able to pull the car off the interstate. When the car was placed in park, all the warning lights went on and the engine shut off. The vehicle would no longer start. Chevrolet towed the vehicle to the dealership where it was discovered the accelerator sensor and module went 'bad' per the dealer. The sensor malfunction caused the accelerator to stick per the dealership.
While driving, my reverse camera came on, service engine light, traction control turned off, alerts for parking assist off, service traction control, service stabilitrax. Loss engine power and was not able to accelerate over 10mph while flooring the gas. This happened on a low traffic road thankfully or one of my children could have died in an accident. The alerts began while driving down a hill, the engine loss was noted when i turned. Apparently there are pages and pages of forums regarding this exact issue with the traverse. How is there not a recall? how many people must die in accidents caused by engine power loss before you do anything?!

Driving my 2015 chevrolet traverse on an expressway at 65 to 70 mph when suddenly the vehicle started to slow down even when pressing on the accelerator.the speed continued decreasing when we noticed that the radio had also shut down.fortunately we were able to make our way to the breakdown lane without any mishap. That's when we notice the engine was also completely shut down.we were fortunate that we were able to pull over without causing an accident.we called the dealership and explained the problem and was puzzled that they were not too concerned about the problem.my wife is not concerned about the safety of this vehicle.i have noticed that complaints have been reporting a similar problem.my vehicle is currently at the dealership and they provided me with a loaner in the meantime.i was told that most likely they will not be able to find any problem with the vehicle. This is not much consolation, to us when we will be returning to florida in the near future and wonder whether this problem will occur again when we are on expressways with five to six lanes, all going 70 mph or more and with little room to get out of the way to safety.looking at other similar issues, what is mentioned as the problem could be the switch, the battery or the alternator, or wiring to all these components.i cannot believe that this issue cannot be diagnosed and remedied immediately before someone gets hurt.
Recently leased vehicle is a hazard! on different occasions when driving, the vehicle accelerates, decelerates and brakes on its own. Transmission caught on fire with no prior warning. The vehicle can not drive straight, it does not move when placed into reverse and sounds like a car badly out of shape. The vehicle bucks and makes loud clunking sounds as if the different speeds could not kick in. The car has never given any warning on the dashboard for all the issues it presents. Electrical issues: can not charge phone on it. Taken vehicle to the mechanic at the dealership but their reports state no codes available for any possible issue. Only until the car started to burn and show smoke, did the mechanics attempt to fix it. Report returned shows that the transmission caught on fire with no root cause found, steering wheel and alignment where needed, several pieces known as clutches/pats had to be replaced. All these issues presented driving in street traffic under 40mph and in short distances.
While stopped at a traffic signal, without warning the lights in the dash, went out. The lights in the center das console (for radio, etc) wnet out. All interior liught were out. This lasted for approximately 3 minutes. I could not signal to turn, i did not have any way to determine my vehicle speed or anything about the operating system of the vehicle.after about three minutes all light came back on. This has happended twice in a period of approximately two weeks since i leased the vehicle on 07/25/2015.
While driving, the dash of the traverse will flicker on and off. When this happens, the headunit will restart and flash a couple times before staying on. The back up camera will also turn on randomly, while in motion. When the dash flickers to off, i am not able to use my blinker or see my mileage.
I have owned this vehicle a little over 38 months. The problem began on 6-13-2018 while i was stopped at the end of my driveway. When i shifted out of park there were clicking noises in the dash. This had never happened before. I took it to the dealer who stated it was a solenoid that needed replacing in the dash. It was replaced, but did not solve the problem. There are two of these solenoids so they ordered the other one and that wasn't the problem. I was told that the "housing" for one of these solenoids needed replacing. They had two other 2015 traverses and both of them had the same problem. I was told that the mechanics had never had this type of problem before. I think that the owners of the other two vehicles never paid attention to this noise and/or thought it was normal. My point is that this should be researched to see if these solenoids/housings are faulty. If one fails then you can't get out of park to shift. If they are faulty, then why should i have to pay to have it fixed. Thank you for your attention.
A week after the purchase, the car started to stall while driving and the ac went out. The dealer replaced the air compressor. About a few weeks later, the vehicle stopped wouldn't start. I took it back to the dealer and they claimed to have taken it to another repair shop and they deemed it an electrical issue. They claimed to have fixed it. I got the vehicle back and the very next day it started to smoke while driving and the ac went out again.

I have had several instances that have involved service stabilitrek/service traction control lights coming on along with engine power reducing warning.i've lost power and had speed dramatically reduce putting me in dangerous situations.when this happens i am not able to accelerate and vehicle slows to a stop.first time this happened i was on a city street going about 40 mph, second time i had just gotten off the freeway and was making a right turn.i lost steering in addition to the other problems mentioned.i have had it to the dealership 3 times for this issue and it will be going back tomorrow as my husband had this happen again tonight when exiting the freeway.the things the dealership has done have not resolved the issue.first time i took it they said a hose had come loose and engine mount needed to be repaired.the second time i took it they replaced a sensor.third time i took it they could not find any codes indicating what the problem was and the car did not act up when they took it out for a drive.car is also shifting forcefully when i am traveling on the freeway going around 65 mph.it also does this when cruise control is on.

The windshield washer and fog light failed to operate. The dealer diagnosed and repaired the vehicle, but the failure recurred. The car jerks and surges and the service stabillitrac warning light and traction control warning comes on...current mileage 34368we were on a city street cruising about 45 mph with no strain on the car.the initial issue started 1 14 16 with 3743 miles.we have been to the dealer, roger dean chevrolet, cape coral fl, five times..each time roger dean says it is fixed, but it happens again..?? happened again last night.very severe shaking and surging and we've had couples in the car with us when it happens...concern is that it will completely stop in traffic or on the many bridges we cross...this makes the car totally unreliable and scary to drive, as well as dangerous..
I was driving on the interstate at 60 miles per hour. The car jarred forward , made a popping sound andlost power and the engine speed dropped.i got off the interstate the car shut down and would not go. The stability trac came on the dash as well as the check engine light. I turned the car off for about 15 seconds and the car started and i drove home. I looked this up on youtube and found out the car does not keep a memory of the code the car throws when this happen. After the car sits all night it "resets" itself and the engine light goes off. This is the third time this has happened and i was lucky it did not stall in the middle of the interstate . This is a huge safe issue i haul my child and granddaughter in this vehicle. This is a serious safety issue and chevy knows about it. Get it fixed, do a recall.
The passenger side headlight went out in april 2017, may 2017 driver side headlight goes out.vehicle is only two (2) year old and the head lights should not need to be replaced every two years.the stability control light came on after returning to truck four hours later.whenever i accelerate the vehicle and ride became unstable.
Traction service / stabilitrak service light comes on. Engine power reduced. Driving around at full speed on the highway. It cuts me back to 25mph. I drive my siblings on the car. It's really not something you want happening on a pretty recently new car.
As i was driving my car started to stutter and the engine light came on the traction control light and something about the stabilizer needs fixed, reduced engine power. I recently got this car from a licensed dealership and i have had nothing but issues. Ithe car has broken down twice and has been in the shop 3 times. 2 of which were for the same issue. While driving you either feel a constant pull then its almost like it releases and then it speeds up. Then i have a hard time slowing it down. When the car broke down the temp gauge dropped all the way down, ac stopped working and when i pulled over and stopped the car it would start again. After 30 min it started but immediately rev up in rpms to max and wouldn't stop till i turned the vehicle off. They car has been in as i was told it was fixed but it still revs up rpms hard and long, when it shifts it jumps, while driving the vehicle feels as if its loosing power ,the batter levels constantly fluctuate and the steering wheel feels like its trying to jump out of my hands. Jolts me like i've hit a pot hole but there is no pot hole. Electrical issues as far as just barley putting the key in the ignition and the lights do some stuff and all the doors lock, and its set to lock when up to speed. Sometimes when starting the car it will have a week rev and it sounded like it would when you get a jump and your trying to pump the juices. The dealership said it was fixed but it still feeling like its pulling and then speeds up. Rpms still jump up hard and long. This is dangerous and everyone keeps telling me its fixed but it is not. This vehicle was mentioned to be a family car but i cant trust me or my family is safe. It was made 07/14 but has a 2015 vin number. This car should of been put out of service and never sold to anyone. Since the travers had so many recalls in 2014 which by the way match perfectly and more to what is wrong with this car.
Vehicle will suddenly decelerate, with check engine light coming on and notifications that traction control is off, and stabilitrak is off. This has happened twice once while driving (straight on 25mph road) once-most recent- while idling at a stop light. After first time, had vehicle serviced and had a purge valve replaced per computer error code. Vehicle is awaiting service again. To be able to drive, shut off is required (two times) but engine light stays on. Vehicle has less than 36,000 miles. Weather was fair both days-overcast, but roads were dry. Vehicle has been subject to a very wet summer, previously a winter with a lot of salt and anti-skid treatments. Vehicle does not travel much other than to my child's school and basic errands. Only in my possession 2 years as of july.
My car has 46k miles, several times now my service stabilitrack has came on along with service traction control and my engine light. Ive had the engine light read and it reads p0700. I replaced the battery, cleaned sensors, cleaned throttle body, checked electrical wiring and even the alternator and its still happening! several times i have had my 4 kids in my car when the car says "reduced power" and i almost get hit by another vehicle and it will only go 15-20mph. Nothing has fixed this problem and i dont want to have a wreck or get hurt in order for it to get fixed!! please help!! this is my only vehicle and i baught this car because i thought it would be dependable!
My wife was driving our 2015 chevrolet traverse 2lt in a construction zone at the speed limit. The vehicle abruptly shook side to side several times, then shut off engine power abruptly and lurched forward and back 5 times hard enough to throw her into the seat belt. About the lurching, she said it was like the car was trying to brake to a stop. She had a whole dashboard full of lights, and she saw a status message in place of the odometer that said something about the traction control turning off. She was in a construction zone without any shoulders, and couldn't immediately get off the road, but the engine power returned, so she took the first freeway exit and was able to stop the car. In 1 month 4 incidents that i lost power while driving, 3xs on main street, once on highway. Check engine light flashed for a moment then shut off. During the last 2xs vehicle was shaking. During the 3x, stabilitrak lights came on.all times, i pulled over (thankfully no accident), shut car off then restart. Upon 3x dealership replaced plugs and coils, then had 4th incident.dealership says no codes and cannot recreate the problem. Car is going back in today for additional diagnostics. Vehicle is leased and just got to 1 year and 12k miles (130 miles dealer put on trying to recreate problem).this is beyond dangerous.
On sept. 17 2016, while driving along the interstate at 70 mph, the car's engine slowed dramatically and stability track, traction control, and slow engine warning lights began to flash.the car would not accelerate.i managed to get the car to the side of the interstate and turned it off.i called roadside assistance immediately and the technician told me to turn off the traction control.there was a pungent smell all inside the car of gas and other fumes, but i did not see any fluids leaking from under the vehicle.the technician told me to start the car with the traction control off.i rolled down all of the windows to lessen the odor.the car started as usual and i started back down the highway.within 3 miles the car stopped again, the same warning lights began flashing.i had lost several gallons of fuel in 3 miles.i got the car to a parking lot off the interstate and it died and would not turn back over.when i tried to get it to start, the ignition got stuck and would not stop trying to turn over.the car was losing fuel and would not run at all.the dealership said it was a fuel pump issue and they replaced the part several days later. On nov. 11, 2016, as i drove to work this morning, i was at a red light and wheni pushed the accelerator and nothing happened. The car began flashing the exact same warning codes as in sept. The car would go about 5-10 mph and i was stranded in a 6 lane intersection. I turned off the traction control and managed to get the car into a parking lot, once again.i am very lucky that i have not had a severe accident when this has occurred.someone is eventually going to get seriously hurt or killed when this happens.also, this same vehicle's backup camera will turn on while i am driving down the street.when it turns on, the car switches out of drive, while i am driving forward.i have videoed this happening.
Initially i had an issue with sudden heavy vibration, primarily while turning, was not recording with a fault.per my service records attached there were several trips try a diagnose and repair the issue.the mysterious issue requiring gm engineer support outside of the local dealership technicians.shortly after my final service for the vibration issue i reported abnormal shifting during acceleration and was advised that the shifting trained to the driver.the abnormal shifting never resolved itself.periodically the warning for service stabilitrack and traction control presents and the traverse performs roughly.this occurs randomly while driving..the related fault is not recorded either.recently i have had this occur and the vehicle failed to move even with the accelerator pressed to the floor.i was in my neighborhood but fear that this could have resulted in an accident had it occured on a busier street or highway.i reached out to general motors and cma colonial chevy and they want to perform a diagnostic. I just had a diagnostic performed at an independent mechanic and he advised that the fault codes were not recorded and that my transmissionis failing.history of service with this vehicle leads me to know that paying for a 2nd diagnostic at the dealership will present the same results.
Since august( around 08/25/19), i've been having a service air bag notifcation which i've took to the chevrolet dealership services. I was told there were a senor to be replaced and payed for the replacement. September ( around 09/18/2019), the service air bag came on again less than a month with the same notification. I was told then there was a second senor that needed to be replaced. Here i am now in november (11/20/19) with the service air bag notifcation on my dash board again for the third time. I'm in the process of contacting chevrolet once more about this. I reserach the recall but there is no recall for my vehicle. I'm unsure if anyone else having the same issues. The light either pop up at the start of turning on the vehicle or during the drive. Normally on the first day of notification it will go off after second crank but within 3 days will return and will not turn off. This part is not a cheap part plus adding dealership fees.
We have 2 issues. 1st was in july 2019, our power steering pump went out with on 60,000 miles on the vehicle and we were told this is a common problem with the traverses. 2nd concern is in september 2019 our vehicle lost acceleration capabilities on the highway and the display said have stability control serviced. We had trouble making it home and after i turned the engine off for a few hours it then ran fine. It was like a computer glitch on the highway which occurred for no apparent reason and was very unsafe. We were driving straight 50 mph on a clear nice afternoon and slowed to 25 when it happened and it wouldn't accelerate properly.
Accelerating up a small hill going 45 mph, vehicle began to shake and slow to about 25 mph, check engine light was flashing, check stabilitrak system message showed as well as "traction control off". I pushed the traction control button until it came back on but the check engine light was still flashing. After a few minutes everything was fine again. Could have been very dangerous if it happened while i was on the interstate. After some research it seems this is a common problem with the traverse!
I was driving about 40 mph on secondary roadway and the car suddenly decelerated with the dash cluster indicating that the stabiltrak system was off and engine power reduced. Outside temperature was in the mid 30's and there was precipitation on the roadway.the vehicle would not accelerate above 25mph.this happened after a long highway run from nyc to cleveland.i was lucky i was not driving on the highway.i have an appointment with dealership in a couple of days but i see similar posts and i'm not sure this car is safe.
My airbag light remains on after having it fixed. My stabilitrac and traction control comes on randomly after having it fixed twice. Then being told it's a sensor that makes it come on, and they are having a hard to reproducing the issue at chevy service center. It makes it difficult to accelerate and makes truck jerk. I have to pull over let the car reset, and then start driving again. Different conditions, and speeds, ever since december/january

When making a sharp left turn in a parking lot the car started to roll backwards down a slope.it was discovered that the engine was no longer running.placed foot on brake to stop vehicle from rolling back wards and put transmission into park.put transmission back into drive and found that car was dead.put into park turned key to off waited a second and turned key to start engine and it restarted.

After first time, had vehicle serviced and had a purge valve replaced per computer error code. Vehicle is awaiting service again. To be able to drive, shut off is required (two times) but engine light stays on. Vehicle has less than 36,000 miles. Weather was fair both days-overcast, but roads were dry. Vehicle has been subject to a very wet summer, previously a winter with a lot of salt and anti-skid treatments. Vehicle does not travel much other than to my child's school and basic errands. My wife and i were driving our 2015 chevrolet traverse on the interstate traveling at 80mph. When i took my foot off the accelerator the accelerator stayed in the down position and continued to accelerate the vehicle. We were up to 90 mph. I put my feet on the brakes and was able to slow the vehicle to 70mph. The accelerator was still stuck in the floored position and fighting the brakes. I was able to manipulate my foot behind the accelerator and after several attempts to pull the accelerator up it released. There was a loud clunk and we were able to pull the car off the interstate. When the car was placed in park, all the warning lights went on and the engine shut off. The vehicle would no longer start. Chevrolet towed the vehicle to the dealership where it was discovered the accelerator sensor and module went 'bad' per the dealer. The sensor malfunction caused the accelerator to stick per the dealership.
Driving my 2015 chevrolet traverse on an expressway at 65 to 70 mph when suddenly the vehicle started to slow down even when pressing on the accelerator.the speed continued decreasing when we noticed that the radio had also shut down.fortunately we were able to make our way to the breakdown lane without any mishap. That's when we notice the engine was also completely shut down.we were fortunate that we were able to pull over without causing an accident.we called the dealership and explained the problem and was puzzled that they were not too concerned about the problem.my wife is not concerned about the safety of this vehicle.i have noticed that complaints have been reporting a similar problem.my vehicle is currently at the dealership and they provided me with a loaner in the meantime.i was told that most likely they will not be able to find any problem with the vehicle. This is not much consolation, to us when we will be returning to florida in the near future and wonder whether this problem will occur again when we are on expressways with five to six lanes, all going 70 mph or more and with little room to get out of the way to safety.looking at other similar issues, what is mentioned as the problem could be the switch, the battery or the alternator, or wiring to all these components.i cannot believe that this issue cannot be diagnosed and remedied immediately before someone gets hurt.

Mthe said it was a transmission sensor or switch that they had to replace.obviously, gmmknows about this.this could hve been a fatal accident, easily.this is a crime in that my dealer sold me this car without disclosing a known problem to me.these cars are not safe and i will try to trade it in asap for something less hazardous.again, this is a criminal act that gm is doing by continuing to sell these cars.if no one has died yet, they will soon.very dangerous problem.

I come to a stop then my suv starts to shake then turns off as i am at a light or about to turn at a stop. When i push an the gas pedal the whole suv shakes and sometimes the check engine light turns on right before the whole car just turn off when i come to a stop. I've had all 4 co2 sensors changed. Everything the dealership has told me to fix i have paid to have done on my car. And yet my problem is the same thing for the past 3 years. I couldn't return it because i waited to long after my warranty. Now i am told to keep paying for services i have already paid to have done. Even though it happens to be the same thing the system is showing up on the computer. I have a lemon on my hands and need help figuring out what can be done to fix this.

The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. *consumer stated the vehicle will suddenly stop, lock up and shuts down, all power is locked. Very scary and not safe. Once it stops it will restart after awhile. Unable to travel in this vehicle for fear of my life or others. While driving, the interior lights shut off and my vehicle suddenly loses power. No matter how hard i press on the gas, the vehicle does not respond.certain service signs also appear and they are 'service stabilitrak,' service traction control,' 'traction control off,' and 'park assist off.' this is dangerous as i was driving through a fairly busy street when this happened and had to physically notify the driver coming towards me to stop. Otherwise, i would have gotten t-boned!this happened twice. The first time it happened, the diagnostic code appeared, they cleared it and test drove it and it was fine. However, a month later, it did it again.huge liability here!during both incidents, i was driving the vehicle, going straight ahead.
Recently leased vehicle is a hazard! on different occasions when driving, the vehicle accelerates, decelerates and brakes on its own. Transmission caught on fire with no prior warning. The vehicle can not drive straight, it does not move when placed into reverse and sounds like a car badly out of shape. The vehicle bucks and makes loud clunking sounds as if the different speeds could not kick in. The car has never given any warning on the dashboard for all the issues it presents. Electrical issues: can not charge phone on it. Taken vehicle to the mechanic at the dealership but their reports state no codes available for any possible issue. Only until the car started to burn and show smoke, did the mechanics attempt to fix it. Report returned shows that the transmission caught on fire with no root cause found, steering wheel and alignment where needed, several pieces known as clutches/pats had to be replaced. All these issues presented driving in street traffic under 40mph and in short distances.
A week after the purchase, the car started to stall while driving and the ac went out. The dealer replaced the air compressor. About a few weeks later, the vehicle stopped wouldn't start. I took it back to the dealer and they claimed to have taken it to another repair shop and they deemed it an electrical issue. They claimed to have fixed it. I got the vehicle back and the very next day it started to smoke while driving and the ac went out again.

This is the third time this has happened and i was lucky it did not stall in the middle of the interstate . This is a huge safe issue i haul my child and granddaughter in this vehicle. This is a serious safety issue and chevy knows about it. Get it fixed, do a recall.
Purchased vehicle on february 1st and within week of ownership, vehicle was making sparking/clicking sound under hood. Gm dealer found "the hormonic balancer creating static electricity and arching causing sound." claims he never seen or experience this in 35 years of doing service. Dealer charged $300 in labor alone to replace.
Vehicle doesn't turn off when key turned to off position and removed
While driving, my reverse camera came on, service engine light, traction control turned off, alerts for parking assist off, service traction control, service stabilitrax. Loss engine power and was not able to accelerate over 10mph while flooring the gas. This happened on a low traffic road thankfully or one of my children could have died in an accident. The alerts began while driving down a hill, the engine loss was noted when i turned. Apparently there are pages and pages of forums regarding this exact issue with the traverse. How is there not a recall? how many people must die in accidents caused by engine power loss before you do anything?!

When stopped at a red light, my car's oil pressure low light came on.i got to a place where i could pull off the road and park.i turned the car off and had it towed to my mechanic.the car was well maintained with about 65,000 miles.the engine is done and needs to be replaced.the cause of the problem is unknown.

The vehicle was then towed back to the dealer where it was re-diagnosed that the harmonic balancer failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer provided case number: 83298884002 and informed the contact to follow-up with the bbb. The approximate failure mileage was 57,870.
Please enact laws that prohibit reverse lights from illuminating when the vehicle is not in reverse! the reverse lights are to let other drivers and pedestrians know that the car is in the reverse gear and may back up. For some reason gm vehicles use reverse lights when in park, confusing everyone abound the car.

The technician advised the contact to take the vehicle to a local chevrolet dealer. The vehicle was taken to collins chevrolet (located at 2300 rockford st, mt airy, nc 27030) where it was diagnosed that the fuel purge valve failed and needed to replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under the warranty, and referred the contact to nhtsa. Engine light is on and does not want to start when i fill up the tank
I recently got this car from a licensed dealership and i have had nothing but issues. Ithe car has broken down twice and has been in the shop 3 times. 2 of which were for the same issue. While driving you either feel a constant pull then its almost like it releases and then it speeds up. Then i have a hard time slowing it down. When the car broke down the temp gauge dropped all the way down, ac stopped working and when i pulled over and stopped the car it would start again. After 30 min it started but immediately rev up in rpms to max and wouldn't stop till i turned the vehicle off. They car has been in as i was told it was fixed but it still revs up rpms hard and long, when it shifts it jumps, while driving the vehicle feels as if its loosing power ,the batter levels constantly fluctuate and the steering wheel feels like its trying to jump out of my hands. Jolts me like i've hit a pot hole but there is no pot hole. Electrical issues as far as just barley putting the key in the ignition and the lights do some stuff and all the doors lock, and its set to lock when up to speed. Sometimes when starting the car it will have a week rev and it sounded like it would when you get a jump and your trying to pump the juices. The dealership said it was fixed but it still feeling like its pulling and then speeds up. Rpms still jump up hard and long. This is dangerous and everyone keeps telling me its fixed but it is not. This vehicle was mentioned to be a family car but i cant trust me or my family is safe. It was made 07/14 but has a 2015 vin number. This car should of been put out of service and never sold to anyone. Since the travers had so many recalls in 2014 which by the way match perfectly and more to what is wrong with this car.

I took it to the dealership & they said they reprogrammed the transmission solenoid and took it for a 16 mile test drive.supposedly, it was fixed.but it wasn't.multiple reports on the internet say the torque converter is the problem & will fail because of lack of adequate cooling for transmission.transmission started slipping at 42000 miles from either 1st to 2nd gear or 2nd to 3rd gear.
Vehicle began stuttering when upshift or downshift 2nd-3rd gears low speeds. Took to dealer. At first could not replicate but then found gm service bulletin # 18-na-358 (see attached). First released in november 2018 and most recently updated october 2020. It lists this exact problem and a fix for the problem. It includes many gm vehicles including my 2015 chevrolet traverse. The dealer said there was not a recall that this was just a normal bulletin to help technicians handle previously reported problems. I would request someone to review for a possible recall. My traverse only has 94,000 miles.
While driving, the interior lights shut off and my vehicle suddenly loses power. No matter how hard i press on the gas, the vehicle does not respond.certain service signs also appear and they are 'service stabilitrak,' service traction control,' 'traction control off,' and 'park assist off.' this is dangerous as i was driving through a fairly busy street when this happened and had to physically notify the driver coming towards me to stop. Otherwise, i would have gotten t-boned!this happened twice. The first time it happened, the diagnostic code appeared, they cleared it and test drove it and it was fine. However, a month later, it did it again.huge liability here!during both incidents, i was driving the vehicle, going straight ahead.
Driving my 2015 chevrolet traverse on an expressway at 65 to 70 mph when suddenly the vehicle started to slow down even when pressing on the accelerator.the speed continued decreasing when we noticed that the radio had also shut down.fortunately we were able to make our way to the breakdown lane without any mishap. That's when we notice the engine was also completely shut down.we were fortunate that we were able to pull over without causing an accident.we called the dealership and explained the problem and was puzzled that they were not too concerned about the problem.my wife is not concerned about the safety of this vehicle.i have noticed that complaints have been reporting a similar problem.my vehicle is currently at the dealership and they provided me with a loaner in the meantime.i was told that most likely they will not be able to find any problem with the vehicle. This is not much consolation, to us when we will be returning to florida in the near future and wonder whether this problem will occur again when we are on expressways with five to six lanes, all going 70 mph or more and with little room to get out of the way to safety.looking at other similar issues, what is mentioned as the problem could be the switch, the battery or the alternator, or wiring to all these components.i cannot believe that this issue cannot be diagnosed and remedied immediately before someone gets hurt.
My wife was driving our 2015 chevrolet traverse 2lt in a construction zone at the speed limit. The vehicle abruptly shook side to side several times, then shut off engine power abruptly and lurched forward and back 5 times hard enough to throw her into the seat belt. About the lurching, she said it was like the car was trying to brake to a stop. She had a whole dashboard full of lights, and she saw a status message in place of the odometer that said something about the traction control turning off. She was in a construction zone without any shoulders, and couldn't immediately get off the road, but the engine power returned, so she took the first freeway exit and was able to stop the car. After she restarted the car, it seemed to be normal, so she drove it to the dealership for repair. The dealership said that it is working properly now, so they can't do anything.

7-26-16 @ 22646mi the front end shimmied after hitting a bump. Dealer could not duplicate. 8-15-16 @ 23346 front end shimmy after hitting bump. Dealer could duplicate it. Rotated and balanced tires. 9-16-16 24040mi could make the front end shimmy all the time. Dealer & gm engineers replaced left axel shaft & right intermediate axel. 9-26-16 24643mi again front end shimmy at will. Dealer & gm engineers replaced all motor & transmission mounts. 10-30-16 25810mi going 45 on straight road, hit bump and front end shimmied for about 2 blocks. 10-31-16 i told dealer about it & was told that i can't bring it in till it happens more often.11-2-16 hit bump on curve doing 45 and front end shimmied for about a minute. 3-24-17 30288mi going 40 on straight road, hit small bump and front end shimmied for about a half mile. 3-27-17 went to dealer and asked what could be done to resolve front end problem.3-31-17 went to dealer again to see what they can do, they saidthey won't do anything to fix it. Spoke with service manager and was told the same thing. 3-31-17 i called gm customer support and they said they will talk with dealer service manager. 4-10-17 30995mi front end shimmied @ 45 mpg after slowing from 55mph. 4-12-17 gm stated they can't (won't) do anything till it can be duplicated. 7-11-17 37355mi while turning left, then straightening while accelerating on smooth road, the front end started shimming. Went away at 45mph. 7-17-17 37561mi turned right and accelerated hard, at 40mph front end started to shimmy for about 20 seconds. Stopped when let off the gas going down hill. Again at 37569mi on straight smooth road @ 50mph front end shimmied for 15 seconds. Stopped when decelerated.7-24-17 i traded the vehicle because gm would not do anything and i felt it was unsafe. You had no idea when it would happen.i wanted to inform you incase you have other complaints.
I come to a stop then my suv starts to shake then turns off as i am at a light or about to turn at a stop. When i push an the gas pedal the whole suv shakes and sometimes the check engine light turns on right before the whole car just turn off when i come to a stop. I've had all 4 co2 sensors changed. Everything the dealership has told me to fix i have paid to have done on my car. And yet my problem is the same thing for the past 3 years. I couldn't return it because i waited to long after my warranty. Now i am told to keep paying for services i have already paid to have done. Even though it happens to be the same thing the system is showing up on the computer. I have a lemon on my hands and need help figuring out what can be done to fix this.

We rented this car from hertz.the middle seat on the driver's side seat belt falsely latched. When loaded (my son was reaching to get something) the belt buckle detached from the receptor. I repeated this failure several times and recorded it on video. It appeared as if the receptor release mechanism was jammed and would not release fully to the top when pressed. It was difficult to press the release mechanism as well. No vin number updated 04/30/18*as

My vehicle was in motion going 40 mph on the i-17 freeway and was rear ended by a vehicle going approximately 65 mph upon impact all side curtain airbags and driver seat airbags were deployed after driver and front passengers were thrown forward during the accident upon our bodies being thrown back against the seats the seats both fell into recline positions on top of our two children in the center row bucket seats. Our seats failed to restrain the impact of our bodies and keep us upright protecting us from injury and neck and back whiplash.
Driver side rear brake pad retainer defective. Part is made so that the brake pads do not move so that you get severe pad wear, same as if you had a frozen caliper. Dealer did nothing to fix it. My brother had a 2016 and the other side did the same thing. I also noticed my friends 2019 blazer with the same problem. Can't find one to replace it so i ground the ends of the pads so they could move freely. Other indication is spongy feel stopping the car. I have a 2015 chevy traverse with 13,000 miles.i was in a neighborhood after reversing out of the parking spot and driving down a short steep hill.i wanted to turn and tried to depress the brake pedal but it was not in the proper location.i glided, put in neutral and pressed the emergency brake to stop.it was at night and i did not see the location of the brake pedal other than that it was where it should be.i put in park and turned the car off and back on and the brake pedal appeared to be in the correct position and working.i had chevy check it out and they said they could not find anything wrong with it.i don't know if the brake pedal was stuck to the floor and if i had pressed it if it would have worked.it seems to have an air leak sound sometimes when depressing brake and they just said it was normal though i don't recall hearing that for 13,000 miles before.i have no other vehicle to drive but now fear for my life if the brakes go out on a highway.
I noticed there was a recall on similar year makes/models in regards to brake system failures. My 2015 chevy traverse frequently has braking issues related to the recall. It often always has noise from the brake pedal when depressed that sounds like air being expelled from the line. This happens at multiple rates of speeds in multiple driving conditions; including slow city driving, highway at high speeds, in rain and in snow as well as dry days. Airbags light is always on . Problem with terring wheel too hard to turn
I heard a whine noise when turning to the right took it to the dealer they said it was hard to find but the power steering hose was defective and needed to be replaced at 47000 miles.the noise actually started around 37000 miles but the dealership said it was just my imagination they could not find the problem.now i do some research and find it's a known problem with traverses and the dealer still acts like they have never seen it happen before.just need to get it on record in case the power steering goes out all together like some others have. A known problem i would say.

Turning car to right and felt car steering seize at 48,000 miles took to dealership they told me rack and pinion $2900 part that should not occur on car this age.
I recently got this car from a licensed dealership and i have had nothing but issues. Ithe car has broken down twice and has been in the shop 3 times. 2 of which were for the same issue. While driving you either feel a constant pull then its almost like it releases and then it speeds up. Then i have a hard time slowing it down. When the car broke down the temp gauge dropped all the way down, ac stopped working and when i pulled over and stopped the car it would start again. After 30 min it started but immediately rev up in rpms to max and wouldn't stop till i turned the vehicle off. They car has been in as i was told it was fixed but it still revs up rpms hard and long, when it shifts it jumps, while driving the vehicle feels as if its loosing power ,the batter levels constantly fluctuate and the steering wheel feels like its trying to jump out of my hands. Jolts me like i've hit a pot hole but there is no pot hole. Electrical issues as far as just barley putting the key in the ignition and the lights do some stuff and all the doors lock, and its set to lock when up to speed. Sometimes when starting the car it will have a week rev and it sounded like it would when you get a jump and your trying to pump the juices. The dealership said it was fixed but it still feeling like its pulling and then speeds up. Rpms still jump up hard and long. This is dangerous and everyone keeps telling me its fixed but it is not. This vehicle was mentioned to be a family car but i cant trust me or my family is safe. It was made 07/14 but has a 2015 vin number. This car should of been put out of service and never sold to anyone. Since the travers had so many recalls in 2014 which by the way match perfectly and more to what is wrong with this car.
My power steering stopped working while driving, i managed to get to the side of the road and shut the vehicle off. I turned back on and power steering was back. The following day i took it to the shop and they told me to take it to the dealer because the power steering pump was leaking and should be under warranty. Unfortunately the dealer told me it was not under warranty and i had to have it replaced. I paid for the repair and now just a few weeks later the same thing is happening. I have the vehicle scheduled to go into the shop again on monday.
We have 2 issues. 1st was in july 2019, our power steering pump went out with on 60,000 miles on the vehicle and we were told this is a common problem with the traverses. 2nd concern is in september 2019 our vehicle lost acceleration capabilities on the highway and the display said have stability control serviced. We had trouble making it home and after i turned the engine off for a few hours it then ran fine. It was like a computer glitch on the highway which occurred for no apparent reason and was very unsafe. We were driving straight 50 mph on a clear nice afternoon and slowed to 25 when it happened and it wouldn't accelerate properly.

The power steering stops working randomly. It happens when i'm at a very low speed and trying to turn into a parking space for example. Once you give the vehicle gas it sometimes comes back.

Power steering pump - vehicle is 4 years old and has only 42,000+ miles and the pump dropped fluid and quit working. Loud noise coming from the power steeringarea when i accelerated and turned the steering wheel . This happens when i wanted to park my car.i just changed water sensors , and now it has the evape error .that not really good for under 60000 mile car, its not normal
Besides my ac going out3x since i got it now my power steering isn't working. Tried to get it fixed but nothing is working. Heard from the other dealerships that the same problem is happening to this model and make and have to get 6-8 pumps to get it fixed. This is ridiculous to have so many problems with a brand new car. It is my first new car and i've had a lot of used cars and never had this problem
12/23/19 while driving my car it began making slight whine noises which increased during turning, tires seemed a bit loose with driving, then when parking it was as if no power steering at all- checked ps fluid tiny bit low, added small amount. 12/24/19 same problem still occurring only extremely more difficult to turn, 12/26/19 had car checked by mechanic our power steering pump has gone out at 81k miles and in all probability our rack and pinion, this is a known issue for traverses, there has been a special service coverage extension ( https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/sb-10056459-3388.pdf) thru 100k mikes for traverses 2009-2011, though when i spoke to representative she said 2007 - 2011 years, and the parts that need replacing are the exact same part numbers thru 2015 traverses. The 'reason' i was given is because 'it is for vehicles produced in 'specific- undisclosable locations' which are in 'specific years and vin numbers' and yet the part is the exact same part that is being utilized in the entire span of at least the years '2009-2015'. This is a huge safety concern as well since it causes problems with your steering as well as tire functionality.why are the years past 2011 being dismissed? i was informed by both our local dealership and the online customer service for gm that our vin is not included. This is not an isolated event. How can this special coverage be extended to cover additional years since all of the parts required to be replaced are exact ones utilized in each year? thank you.
I bought a certified chevrolet traverse and the power steering pump went out at 59,520 miles and cost me with hoses and flush of fuel system from kuni chevrolet 3,051.85. I bought the car may 7, 2016. Power steering pump should be under warranty but they stated warranty ran out at 45,183 miles. The liftgate is closing autonomously, without any of the buttons on the liftgate, key fob, or console being pushed.it has done this several times now, starting this morning, feb 14, 2018.twice it almost hit someone on the head when placing items into or removing items from the rear storage area.the vehicle is parked and stationary.
I opened my power lift gate using my key fab.after putting items in the back, i pushed the close button located on the lift gate.i thought i had left my keys laying inside with the items i had just placed in the back of the vehicle. Knowing that the sensors would read that my arm would block the door from closing, i could retrieve my keys. As it continued to close, i realized that it was not recognizing my arm. As i tried to pull my arm away from the door, it caught my thumb and crushed it.it remained closed in the back hatch until help arrived to open it with the keys.i went to my dr and received xrays.i fractured my thumb and am currently receiving physical therapy treatment.i am constantly in pain.when i contacted general motors, i was brushed off.
I was slowly backing out of my garage when all of a sudden my 2015 traverse accelerated to 40-50 miles per hour to my horror. I felt like i was in the indy 500. The car backed into a tree in my front yard, then at the same high speed lifted off the groundand raced forward and crashed into 2 parked cars in my back yard. Had the 2 parked cars not stopped me my neighbors feel i would have gone into the lake in my back yard. My air bag did not go off, yet the one in the empty parked car did go off. All 3 vehicles were a total loss.
Car wreck damage impact by other driver hit head front of vehicle, caused drivers and passenger side doors to not open, airbags did not deploy!
I was backing out of my garage when all of a sudden the car started going about 50mph and hit a tree in my yard, then the front end lifted off the ground and the car raced forward and crashed into my friend's car. They both hit my pickup truck also.all 3 vehicles are a total loss. From the neighbors who observed this, it's a miracle i wasn't badly injured. Air bag signal and highways push me to right side
I purchased a used 2015 chevy traverse from a chevrolet dealership with 58435 miles. Within 200 miles, the rear ac went out while driving to an air show in june 2020. I live in the southeast where temps can get very hot and humid quickly, and i have two young children. So now, my car has become a hazard to my children as i am not able to drive them anywhere when the sun is out. It is unimaginable to leave a child in a hot car, so what is the difference when chevrolet has known about the ac issues in its vehicles for years!!! i'm tired of car manufacturers not taking responsibility for their shotty work! how, in good faith, can i drive my children in my car, in the southeast, with no ac? windows down doesn't work with small children and wind is blowing in their face on a highway or in traffic and there is no wind. When speaking to the dealership about getting it fixed, it is going to cost $1400 and they are aware this is an issue with these vehicles. However, the consmer now has to pay for a known faulty ac. Chevrolet has already issued an updated part! they know, and yet there is no recall. Having a manufacturer know about a faulty ac is a safety problem, for children. Period. And they need to do the right thing and own up to it. Just google known ac problems in 2015 chevrolet traverse. You'll see, it's not just the style and make of my vehcile, it's acadia, buick and gmc vehicles.
Ac started blowing hot air at 36k miles. Was sitting still in park when i noticed. My girls were crying and i got out and checked the rear vents. Sure enough, hot air. Front ac blows cold, but rear blows hot air and when it's 90+ degrees out and my 3 daughters are in the back sweating, one a newborn, i think that's pretty hazardous. You can't leave someone in a vehicle with the air off, let alone blowing hot air in the middle of full blown summer. From what i understand, "this is a common issue, but there has been no recall, and therefore chevrolet, nor gm will have no part in helping with repairs and/or replacements". I'm disgusted, as, i have only had the vehicle under 4 months. My wife and i are literally heartbroken. We pour our lives into our jobs, and spending it on a newer vehicle that has no ac for our girls. This was part of why we got a chevrolet, because of the renowned name. But dang, had i known this was going to happen, plus the issues i had after i got the vehicle home... I would have went elsewhere, put it that way

The air conditioner began emitting cold air on drivers side, and warm air on passenger side aug 2018. Dealer said rear evaporator coil leaking due to corrosion. Car only 3 years old. Replacement parts $1,254 and replacement parts only guaranteed for 2 years. Gm needs to use metal parts that don't corrode, as coil is located under the vehicle in front of the rear passenger wheel. Poor engineering as it willget lots of corrosive spray with no way to clean it as it is surrounded by a metal plate with small holes. This part should be enclosed somehow away from corrosive road spray. I think a recall is in order, and reimbursement from gm to me because of poor engineering design.
When my vehicle is in idle or park the fan makes a ticking noise. I turn ac or heat up or down and the noise continues at times the noise is louder. Took it back to the dealer rightafter i bought it used and they told me i think it was the evaporator was empty so they refilled it after i paid my deductible for warranty. About a ya later i heard it again i went to a friends shop they told me the same thing he filled it and it's been about another year and it's making the noise again and it's the same issue. This happens mostly while driving but you do hear it while it is in motion. I looked this issue up and it seems to be a very big issue with this. My warranty is no longer valid now and i feel this issue is something is wrong with the vehicle and a recall should be looked into. What other issues is this causing to my vehicle.
Everytime i put fuel in my 2015 traverse.. The vehicle hesitates to start. It's a scary feeling when my 3 children are in the car, so i never pump fuel with my kids just incase i have to walk home.
My airbag light remains on after having it fixed. My stabilitrac and traction control comes on randomly after having it fixed twice. Then being told it's a sensor that makes it come on, and they are having a hard to reproducing the issue at chevy service center. It makes it difficult to accelerate and makes truck jerk. I have to pull over let the car reset, and then start driving again. Different conditions, and speeds, ever since december/january
A week after the purchase, the car started to stall while driving and the ac went out. The dealer replaced the air compressor. About a few weeks later, the vehicle stopped wouldn't start. I took it back to the dealer and they claimed to have taken it to another repair shop and they deemed it an electrical issue. They claimed to have fixed it. I got the vehicle back and the very next day it started to smoke while driving and the ac went out again.
A year ago, i went to perform the yearly inspection for this car and it failed the readiness test.this year was the same (ref. Have a 2015, traverse,with same problem that was recalled in earlier models. I thought after a recall,that the problem would be addressed.the lift gate on my daughter's vehicle hit my head and continued to close on me. I didn't attempt it, but it seemed as if it would have closed on me. I was attempting to get a folding chair from cargo area, while she was parked in my driveway.
I was originally in a parking lot, stopped completely, then proceeded to gently turn left in to a parking space. I barely pushed the gas pedal and the car revved up and took off full speed ahead making me crash in to a hill. The hill is a small landscape space that divides the parking lot and a busy 6 lane street. The front of the car was damaged. I was completely shocked yet thankful this did not happen in an intersection or in traffic.i had the car immediately towed to a chevy dealership so they can assess the issue and i did not feel safe driving starting it up and driving again. I towed it to the same dealership i had just left from as this same day they had completed a repair on the emissions system. I filed a claim with the insurance company. I'm still waiting to for the vehicle inspection report details.
Turning car to right and felt car steering seize at 48,000 miles took to dealership they told me rack and pinion $2900 part that should not occur on car this age.
We have 2 issues. 1st was in july 2019, our power steering pump went out with on 60,000 miles on the vehicle and we were told this is a common problem with the traverses. 2nd concern is in september 2019 our vehicle lost acceleration capabilities on the highway and the display said have stability control serviced. We had trouble making it home and after i turned the engine off for a few hours it then ran fine. It was like a computer glitch on the highway which occurred for no apparent reason and was very unsafe. We were driving straight 50 mph on a clear nice afternoon and slowed to 25 when it happened and it wouldn't accelerate properly.
I was backing out of my garage when all of a sudden the car started going about 50mph and hit a tree in my yard, then the front end lifted off the ground and the car raced forward and crashed into my friend's car. They both hit my pickup truck also.all 3 vehicles are a total loss. From the neighbors who observed this, it's a miracle i wasn't badly injured. Also i have a tear in my achilles tendon on right foot so in no way could i have mashed on accelerator
In 1 month 4 incidents that i lost power while driving, 3xs on main street, once on highway. Check engine light flashed for a moment then shut off. During the last 2xs vehicle was shaking. During the 3x, stabilitrak lights came on.all times, i pulled over (thankfully no accident), shut car off then restart. Upon 3x dealership replaced plugs and coils, then had 4th incident.dealership says no codes and cannot recreate the problem. Car is going back in today for additional diagnostics. Vehicle is leased and just got to 1 year and 12k miles (130 miles dealer put on trying to recreate problem).this is beyond dangerous.
I took my vehicle back to the dealership i brought it from at least 3 times because of the engine surges while drivingmostly on streets but once whilemerging onto the highway each time i was given excuses " thats the new electric accelerator " thats the 6th gear" i have owned a 2012 , 2014 now the 2015 i haven't experienced the surges or lurching in any of myprevious vehiclesnow lurching more often i am tired of leaving my car in the dealership,renting cars on my own dime and getting excuses that don't make sense
Recently leased vehicle is a hazard! on different occasions when driving, the vehicle accelerates, decelerates and brakes on its own. Transmission caught on fire with no prior warning. The vehicle can not drive straight, it does not move when placed into reverse and sounds like a car badly out of shape. The vehicle bucks and makes loud clunking sounds as if the different speeds could not kick in. The car has never given any warning on the dashboard for all the issues it presents. Electrical issues: can not charge phone on it. Taken vehicle to the mechanic at the dealership but their reports state no codes available for any possible issue. Only until the car started to burn and show smoke, did the mechanics attempt to fix it. Report returned shows that the transmission caught on fire with no root cause found, steering wheel and alignment where needed, several pieces known as clutches/pats had to be replaced. All these issues presented driving in street traffic under 40mph and in short distances.

The contact stated that while turning into a parking lot at 5-10 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle violently accelerated causing the contact to crash into a building. The brake pedal was depressed but failed to engaged properly.no airbags deployed. No injuries sustained. A police report was filed. Medical attention was contacted and took vitals. The vehicle was towed by nationwide to independent mechanic where the cosmetic repairs were being performed. The manufacturer was not made ware of the failure. The damage was to the building and front bumper. No dealer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage was 39,700.
On sept. 17 2016, while driving along the interstate at 70 mph, the car's engine slowed dramatically and stability track, traction control, and slow engine warning lights began to flash.the car would not accelerate.i managed to get the car to the side of the interstate and turned it off.i called roadside assistance immediately and the technician told me to turn off the traction control.there was a pungent smell all inside the car of gas and other fumes, but i did not see any fluids leaking from under the vehicle.the technician told me to start the car with the traction control off.i rolled down all of the windows to lessen the odor.the car started as usual and i started back down the highway.within 3 miles the car stopped again, the same warning lights began flashing.i had lost several gallons of fuel in 3 miles.i got the car to a parking lot off the interstate and it died and would not turn back over.when i tried to get it to start, the ignition got stuck and would not stop trying to turn over.the car was losing fuel and would not run at all.the dealership said it was a fuel pump issue and they replaced the part several days later. On nov. 11, 2016, as i drove to work this morning, i was at a red light and wheni pushed the accelerator and nothing happened. The car began flashing the exact same warning codes as in sept. The car would go about 5-10 mph and i was stranded in a 6 lane intersection. I turned off the traction control and managed to get the car into a parking lot, once again.i am very lucky that i have not had a severe accident when this has occurred.someone is eventually going to get seriously hurt or killed when this happens.also, this same vehicle's backup camera will turn on while i am driving down the street.when it turns on, the car switches out of drive, while i am driving forward.i have videoed this happening.
Vehicle will suddenly decelerate, with check engine light coming on and notifications that traction control is off, and stabilitrak is off. This has happened twice once while driving (straight on 25mph road) once-most recent- while idling at a stop light. After first time, had vehicle serviced and had a purge valve replaced per computer error code. Vehicle is awaiting service again. To be able to drive, shut off is required (two times) but engine light stays on. Vehicle has less than 36,000 miles. Weather was fair both days-overcast, but roads were dry. Vehicle has been subject to a very wet summer, previously a winter with a lot of salt and anti-skid treatments. Vehicle does not travel much other than to my child's school and basic errands. Only in my possession 2 years as of july.
I was driving on the interstate at 60 miles per hour. The car jarred forward , made a popping sound andlost power and the engine speed dropped.i got off the interstate the car shut down and would not go. The stability trac came on the dash as well as the check engine light. I turned the car off for about 15 seconds and the car started and i drove home. I looked this up on youtube and found out the car does not keep a memory of the code the car throws when this happen. After the car sits all night it "resets" itself and the engine light goes off. This is the third time this has happened and i was lucky it did not stall in the middle of the interstate . This is a huge safe issue i haul my child and granddaughter in this vehicle. This is a serious safety issue and chevy knows about it. Get it fixed, do a recall.
Vehicle started bucking and shaking when taking off from traffic light. With excessive speed 50-60mph that followed the bucking. Tried applying both feet by standing on the brakes. Car started to slow down, only to speed back up until, the vehicle could be shut off. Lights on dash were flashing. On such a heavy traveled, congested road, someone could have been killed. My car is scheduled to be looked at by dealer.
I was slowly backing out of my garage when all of a sudden my 2015 traverse accelerated to 40-50 miles per hour to my horror. I felt like i was in the indy 500. The car backed into a tree in my front yard, then at the same high speed lifted off the groundand raced forward and crashed into 2 parked cars in my back yard. Had the 2 parked cars not stopped me my neighbors feel i would have gone into the lake in my back yard. My air bag did not go off, yet the one in the empty parked car did go off. All 3 vehicles were a total loss.
Cruise control was engaged at approximately 60 mph, and i accelerated the car up an entrance ramp on to a 65 mph highway (interstate 40, durham, nc) to merge into moderate traffic heading west. The car then began accelerating on its own despite taking my foot off the gas pedal, and probably reached 70 mph. I pushed the brake pedal, which slowed the car in a shuddering manner, but did not disengage the cruise control, which continued to accelerate the vehicle. Because of the danger of hitting the car in front of us, i braked again, with a similar result. Turning off the cruise control by pushing the button on the left side of the steering wheel did not have any effect. The car continued to accelerate quickly, so i braked again and held them hard, which slowed the vehicle. On this third try, the cruise control disengaged, and i was able to turn it off. It's not been used since, so its status is unknown. No accident arose from this incident.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under the warranty, and referred the contact to nhtsa. The windshield washer fluid mechanism on top of the hood along with the fuse is faulty. Fuse as well as mechanism motor have been replaced and still no water will come out to clean the windshield. The air bag light is now on all of a sudden stating to service airbags.

The windshield washer and fog light failed to operate. The dealer diagnosed and repaired the vehicle, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there would be no assistance offered to have the vehicle repaired a second time. The approximate failure mileage was 10,700.
The first time my airbag light came on and stayed on for several weeks and then one day was not on. Just recently on 5/15/19 my service air bag light came on again. My car has not been in an accident at all.my windshield wiper fluid will not disperse as well wiper arm hand was replaced lines were checked and fluid in the reservoir and still no fluid available which affects visibility when anything splashing on the windshield. The service airbag light came on suddenly one day when i started up my car.

I recently noted severe dry rot or cracking in the tire tread. The car is less than 2 years old and has 22k miles. There was a recall for this specific issue (premature tread cracking) for the specific oe tire model and size that my vehicle has. However, according to chevrolet customer service, my vehicle is not included in the recall. It is apparent from the condition of these tires that the recall must be expanded to cover more vehicles than originally thought. Information about the recall:the rec all began on march 9, 2015. Owners may contact gm customer service at 1-800-521-7300 (buick), 1-800-222-1020 (chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (gmc). Gm's number for this recall is 15025/15067. Note: this recall is for goodyear p255/65r18 fortera hl tires installed as original equipment.
Had two to three tires replaced due to flats dont really know what causedflats , tires can never hold a proper inflation of 35 psi , some tires go very low(27psi )causing panic to my wife and family as we drive vehicle . Flats were noted while driving as low tire pressure lights came on. I put 7/7/2018 only to access dates could follow chevy service dept
I just bought my 2015 traverse a week ago and noticed that the tires have large cracks in them, my vehicle only has 34,000 miles on it and the tires are the ones put on from the factory, i've looked for recalls, and there is one out for the tires, but not for my specific vin. The tires are doing the exact same way as the recall.
Tire lost air pressure and lost tread. Tire was inspected by gm dealership, which could not locate issue. 5 days later, the tire was shredding and we had to pay for a new tire.
All 4 tires slowly leak and have to be filled back up very often. When i first got it the tires were brand new and i had to fill them every month now i have to fill them every 2 weeks or sooner.
One of the tires on my new chevy traverse went flat and i was told that the tire could not be repaired because it wasn't a puncture hole.i was told it was more of a tear and when i looked at the tire the split looks like it was a continuation from the part of the tire that has the tread line.i find out there was a recall on this tire and even though my tire was manufactured a few months past the recall date (13th week, 2015 year), my vehicle is from the same plant and the tire size is the exact tire--goodyear fortera p255/65r18 109s.i do have the tire in question at my house and can take pictures if you need them.i was very concerned about this issue when i took my vehicle in for repair and asked how this could happen with brand new tires and was told there was nothing wrong with the tire(s).i am very concerned about driving this vehicle after reading the recall notice because i drive on a lot of secondary highways that are very isolated and i do not want to become stranding.i would like to know if i have a case in regards to this matter.thank you.
My tires came with my brand new car in 2015. It is 2017 and they have 30,000 miles on them. All 4 of my tires had large cracks in the inner side of my tires. Also, these tires wore unevenly. I have had tire rotations every balances with every on time scheduled oil changes. As well as had a few alignment in the past two years to ensure i did everything right by these tires. I went in thursday october 19th to get a possible leak checked. The tire place said i was due for 4 new tires for wear and cracks. I was like, what? my car is too new for new tires and low milage on the tires. This posed a tire blow out threat and potential threat to my life and my family. I have kept my tires to submit as proof. The picture does do its justice as the cracks were far bigger and more apparent when they were actually on my car.
