A vehicle pulled directly across my path while i was traveling approximately 45 mph, resulting in a t-bone collision. My vehicle was totaled. Somehow, my airbags did not deploy.

Son was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which he hit a cement truck head on and the vehicle airbags did not deploy.the entire front end of the vehicle was damaged (smashed in) and the vehicle subsequently totaled out.as per gm this type of crash would not have created a deployment of the airbag however; my son cracked the front windshield when his head hit it at impact with the truck and again, the entire front end of the vehicle was smashed.if this type of impact doesn't create an airbag deployment i am not quite sure what does?

I was in a car accident going approximately 35 mph and hit a truck that turned in front of me.my air bags did not go off.

The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer 360.when a passenger is seated in the front passenger seat the airbag warning light indicates that the air bag is turned off.the air bag warning light on the instrument panel also blinks.the vehicle had been to the dealer twice for diagnostic testing and the problem had not been determined.the vehicle is currently at the dealer.the engine size and number of cylinders were unknown.the failure mileage was 1000.the current mileage was 5,622. Updated 02-01-08 updated 02/01/08

Traveling on a city street at about 40 mph and the trailblazer got too close to the curb.the front tire rolled up on the 3-4 inch curb and back onto the street.the side curtain air bags deployed.there was no impact to the suv.the curb was not that high and it was not a sufficient motion to create a side shock to cause the airbag to deploy.the airbags were replaced at a cost of over $3,000.my insurance company paid the claim and i paid a $1,000 deductible and got an accident premium on my insurance policy.the airbag deployment sensor was too sensitive or defective to cause deployment under these circumstances.

I have a problem with the general motors (gm) is recall that involves the ddm on my trailblazer. Gm says its not involved in the recall but they have 1 already changed it under warranty on 3/29/2013 (recall) and again at 6/07/2013 and its again failing why are they not responsible to replace this defective part??

Fuel gauge started malfunctioning sporadically. Would drop to empty for a while then come back up after driving a distance. Now gauge is always on empty and cel always on with code p0463.(fuel level sensor circuit high voltage) this seems to be a known problem with this gm platform. I am keeping track of miles per tank and refilling at 200 miles but the cel worries me because i don't know if there may be another, more serious, issue with the vehicle.

Upon entering vehicle to leave a parking lot at night, discovered the headlights wouldn't work (still not working).the fuses are not out.tried replacing the headlight switch box, but that didn't fix the problem so put the original back on the vehicle.everything else in the vehicle seems to be working fine.discovered an online report stating a problem found on this vehicle, "headlamp driver module failure," gm recall number 14291; however, can't find anything since with regard to a solution via gm.called the chevy number, 1 800 222 1020, but informed that nothing found for our vin number.looked online with our vin number also, but nothing is listed for this issue.cannot drive the vehicle at night now or safely in a rainy weather situation, etc.will contact our local gm dealer to see if we can get this situation taken care of, but decided we should send this email as well.

The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer 360. While the vehicle was stopped at a red light, the driver side window began to independently roll down without warning. The failure recurred on several occasions while the vehicle was occupied or parked without the key in the ignition. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 13v248000 (electrical system, visibility). The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. Updated 09/11/15*ljupdated 11/07/2017

All of a sudden everything on the drivers door switch went dead, then i noticed and smelt smoke coming from the drivers door power window switch. I removed the switches and opened up theplastic casing and saw the circuit board completely burnt.

(1) purchased a new 2007 chevrolet trailblazer on nov. 30,2006. Less that 1200 miles on it before wife took it on the interstate.(2) two light came on control panel and the vehicle went out of control.she had extreme difficulty regaining control of the steering and braking. After turning off the ignition and restarting the vehicle and the lights went off. On her return trip home it again did the same thing, however, she only drove about 40 mph until she could get home. (3)vehicle taken to chevrolet service and diagnosed that there is two faulty circuits. Codes in system c0455, open sensor and shorted ebtcm diagnose. I declined repair until i could speak with gn.(4) spoke with samantha sheared 1-866-790-5700 ext.20836 who advised to get it fixed and nothing more can be done.this is a safety issue and i am sure that ours is not the only vehicle with these faulty parts. My wife is too scared of the vehicle to drive it again, even if repaired.we are very dissatisfied with the unconcern of general motors about this issue.

I was trying to roll down the windows for my wife. The windows would not roll down at first. I checked to make sure that the window was not lock and it wasn't. After a few minutes the window finally rolled. Down. This has happened on several occasions.

Electrical driverside door switch on my 2007 chevy trailblazer. Windows/locks would not work. Found blown fuse. Replaced fuse and tried to roll window down. Smelled melted plastic then door panel began to smoke.

The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer 360. While driving 55 mph, the headlights and instrument panel became inoperable without warning. The vehicle was restarted and the headlights and instrument panel were operable; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 108,000. Updated 11/19/15*lj

I was driving home from a wedding on the interstate at 55 mph, and my headlamps failed. Everything went completely dark. After a panic, i was able to turn on my high beams, and they worked properly. I had to drive the rest of the way home with my high beams on for safety, blinding oncoming drivers. When i got home, i tested my fog lights, and they worked properly. I turned the car off, waited a few minutes, and turned it back on. The low beam headlamps worked then.since the first incident, i have had approximately 10-15 other incidents of the same occurrence. I was positive that my vehicle was included in the recent recall, but when i called my local dealer, i was advised that my vin number was not included. I don't understand, since the issue on the recall is exactly the issue that i am dealing with. I have had to limit my use of the vehicle at night for fear that the headlamps will fail. Side note - they have failed at night twice in the last week alone. Generally what i have to do is pull over on the side of the road (scary) and turn the car off, wait, and try them again.

Failure of the passenger side window while driving in frigid weather. Almost causing a major accident. Contacts and phone consultations with gm customer service and their regional representative for albuquerque, new mexico led nowhere. Gm's regional rep--named eileen, tel. 866-790-5700 ext 41068--was unconcerned about this chronic, documented safety hazard on the trailblazer. Power window and other electrical failures are known to be common to the trailblazer. Gm at first suggested they may pick up part of the repair costs, then refused despite acknowledging that this was a common problem with this vehicle. They are unconcerned about my wife being put in severe danger while driving on the highway on a frigid night. We have had multiple electrical failures common to this unsafe vehicle.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I was driving down the road in jan.08 and my trailblazer died.i got it to the side of the road and it started up.i took it in to the dealership.they replaced the pcm.i was driving down the road in feb.08, vehicle put itself in 4 wheel drive and died.roads were dry.took it in to dealership, they updated calibrations for transfer case. On june 18, i was driving down the road and vehicle died.took it to dealership, they had vehicle for 42 days.unable to fix.they put a reader on it and said i need to drive it until it happens again.i called gm they said i need to keep driving it.i got the vehicle back on july 29.drove it that night.vehicle put itself in 4 wheel drive again.took it back on july 30.dealership replaced actuator.they told me that has nothing to do with vehicle dying and told me to keep driving.i am scared to drive this vehicle.i have asked for a replacement or our money back.i am so scared my family is going to be injured or killed in an accident or someone in front or behind me. It gives you no warning before it dies and it is hard to control.

The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer 360. While driving approximtaley 25 mph at night, the low beam and high beam headlights failed to illuminate. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road and parked at a safe location until the next day. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the headlamp driver module was replaced. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v519000 (exterior lighting). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.

Low headlights (both) are offcontinuually. High beams are ok, no matter which position dash headlight switch is in. High beams come on with steering column control, but not low beams. Replaced relays and fuses although originals checked ok.. Removed each headlight nacell assembly and checked each light individually with separate source 12v. All ok. Meter checked hi-lo headlight plug, 12v ok on hi wires, no voltage on lo wires. Problem exist whether car is running or not. I am stumped!

I was driving home one night about an hour after dark. As i was driving about 45 mph, my headlights just completely went out without warning. After carefully pulling off to the side of the road i realized my high beams were still working. I looked into this issue and realized it was a relay 45 and 46 issue. The next day i replaced this relay and my lights worked. For a day. Now it's been almost a month, and i can't drive after dark. I've asked my local gm dealership to look into this and they told me there was a recall but yet they don't have a resolution. Being i work until the sun goes down, and i have an hour drive home from work 5-6 days a week, this presents a major problem for me. If this were a simple window switch recall (which i've already had replaced) i would be ok with it for now. Unfortunately this is a lighting issue which can be and is a very serious issue. I need this issue resolved immidiatly and if the dealership can't fix it, i don't know how i would be expected to.

I was going down the highway and all of a sudden my headlights cut off. I turned the vehicle off and pulled some of the fuses and put them back in. The lights came back on later. We continued down the road to our destination and the lights went out again. We ended up having to get a hotel room for the night until we could drive home during the daylight hours.

Driving down the road the head lamps would just go off. I would still have high beamshowever the lights would flicker and then come back on. They were checked and no loose connections were found but they would always come back on. Fast forward to about a month ago, i was driving home in the dark again and the lights went off but this time they did not come back on. They have been out and have not come back on since. I still have high beams but no low beams. Thank you

Low beam headlights will not work.only high beams.began intermittently but now will not work on low beams at all.took to dealership and was told this was not listed under the recall however it is the exact problem.

Headlight fail - they intermittently turn off by themselves while driving and eventually turn back on.this happens very often and i am very afraid of my safety and also of my family.

I was driving home from a wedding on the interstate at 55 mph, and my headlamps failed. Everything went completely dark. After a panic, i was able to turn on my high beams, and they worked properly. The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer 360. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 20 mph during night, the headlamps failed to illuminate intermittently. The failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the headlamp drive module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure and the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v519000 (exterior lighting). The failure mileage was 115,306.

General safety complaint about several makes of vehicles.many vehicles use their headlights as running lights and they come on automatically.drivers, in seeing their headlights on, do not realize that their taillights are not on and drive with no taillights.i first noticed this in a driving rainstorm when i suddenly came up on a car with no taillights.through the spray that he was kicking up and the driving rain, it was almost impossible to see him.this alerted me to the fact and i started looking.approximately 25% of the newer vehicles had headlights on but no taillights.i recently rented a chevrolet blazer .i left my hotel in the dark with my headlights on.it wasn't until i got to my destination and went to turn off my headlights that i discovered i had not turned them on.i strongly believe that headlights should not be able to be operated without taillights being on .

The mentioned fuel level sensor in this vehicle (and from research other earlier models) fails or wears out prematurely. The wear could cause the fuel gauge to read empty after filling the tank and cause the service engine and low fuel lights to illuminate. Chevrolet has acknowledged this occurs in the vehicles but has not issued a recall to fix the problem. Instead they have sent a letter of acknowledgement advising the customers to have the issue repaired and they will reimburse half the cost of the repair.not knowing when your fuel is low presents a dangerous scenario for the drivers of these vehicles. It can run out of gas while driving in a speedway / highway where lives would be at risk. Chevrolet should recall all the vehicles exhibiting this problem as soon as possible and avoid future lawsuits and or criminal charges for not addressing an issue they admit is a fault in their vehicles.

The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer 360. While the contact was driving various speeds, he noticed that the fuel gauge would register an inaccurate reading. The failure recurred sporadically and progressed to a constant failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the defect. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

The fuel level sensor is notorious for failing on these vehicles. Chevy has started a campaign to pay for half the cost of the repair. While i'm sure gm thinks this is a fair offer on their behalf, it does not go far enough. This is a safety issue not an inconvenience. Running out of fuel because you don't know how much is in your tank can create a very dangerous situation. Gm describes this part as a wear item. No. Brake pads wear out. Wiper blades wear out.batteries die. When was the last time you checked the fuel level sensor in your gas tank? what's going on with this particular part is called failure. This needs to be a recall by gm.

I am a disabled 62 years old lady and i have a trailblazer 2007. About 2 month the gasoline gauge was showing empty all the time, i took the car to the dealer and they told me that they know there is a problem with the gauge but gm only going to pay a portion of the repair. I have to pay 139.00 of my pocket. I ask the reason it is a recall. One theattendant said the if recognize that was a recall they have the reputation of the trailblazer was going to be damage. Yesterday i was going to my doctor and the car run out of gas because i did not know my son used the car the night before. I am writing this from my comp at the hospital. I walked 1 mile with 98 degrees because they do not what the reputation of the trailblazer is going to be affected. Shortly after christmas 2015, while driving on a city street the red light on the gas guage came on and the gauge showed empty. Having just filled the tank earlier that day i thought the gas had been stolen. I pulled into a station to refill but it was still full. For the next five weeks the check engine light was on and the gauge only worked occasionally. It wasn't a dangerous situation but after a few weeks of guessing how much gas was in it, i took it to a repairman who replaced the fuel pump module assembly for a mere $767.04. The odometer is only at 47,760.

Vehicle is a 2007 chevy trail blazer, purchased in july of 2007. Over the past several days, the driver's side power switches on the door were not working properly. Vehicle was parked on friday evening at around 6:30 pm and when car was entered on saturday morning at approximately 9:30 am, the drivers side door was on fire and black smoke was billowing out.the fire department was called and disabled the vehicle so there would be no additional damage. They stated that it looked like an electrical short in the door panel.

While accelerating onto a major roadway, my vehicle completely lost power.as the speed limit was 55mph, i had to cross my finger and pick a spot to maneuver the vehicle off the roadway and hope that it had enough momentum to do so. My vehicle is still in the shop however anecdotal evidence from the internet finds that the 4l60 and 4l70 are rife with failures that result in complete loss of power of the vehicle. The faulty part seems to be the "sun shell" and has faults across the gm lineup. I'm very surprised they have not been forced to recall this defective transmission.

Transmission went out after driving it for only 2 days after purchase.vehicle. Had 15 miles at purchase; towed in with 95 miles.vehicle had no power in reverse nor drive.gm only offered to repair or replace the trans. Has been giving me problems.does not accelerate as prior to fix; hesitates when accelerating feeling like it's ready to stall.gas pedal sticks at times; giving vehicle. Usually when you are driving at highway speeds 55mph - 60 mph after approximately 15 minutes the steering wheel and whole front end start shaking really bad.it will last until you stop and then it will not do it again for 3 or 4 days and then it will do it again. If you try to brake during this occurrences the whole vehicle shakes even worse. Brought back to dealer (2) twice they could not verify problem.
