In 2010 my trailblazer would not idle or accelerate properly, the mechanic found the primary smog air pump not working. Cost to me $720.00. Next the instrument cluster gauges started jumping around and now the speedometer does not work at all. Estimated cost to me$480.00, i can't afford to fix it.. Thirdly the windshield wipers go on and off without warning. I went to a dealership anda private mechanic and neither could find the wiper problem. Cost to me $68.00 for diagnostic time and lots of danger ahead.similar gm vehicles/ suv's have been recalled for the same reasons, and these vehicles all share similar parts. My daughters envoy was recalled because of the instrument cluster, replaced at no cost to her. Same instrument cluster as my trailblazer. I candidly spoke with the owner of a chevy dealer ship who said; "these problems are costing the owners thousands of dollars and should be recalled".with all the research i've done it is clear the trailblazer is loaded with recallable problems. Why has the trailblazer not been recalled???
None of the gauges in the instrument cluster work at all. I had all of the stepper motors, and the needles replaced. Parts and labor totaling $350.00, and as soon as i was down the street 4 out of the 6 did not work, and these repairs where just done in 2015. Now the two that were working just quit 3 days ago. I do not know how much gas i have,i do not know how fast i am going, i do not know if my vehicle is running hot, or if the battery is charging. I have nothing. This problem happens while driving every time i start the car. I bought the vehicle used and the gauges were broke when i bought it cause i thought that i could get them fixed.i have been researching this topic on trailblazers in general on the trailvoy forum, and you would be sick to see how many owners of trailblazers, or to read the stories. Also it is irresponsible to let people drive a vehicle under these conditions, and very, very, very unsafe. To not know anyone of these things could cause the vehicle to stop while driving resulting in an accident. I will be waiting along with thousands of others for your recall. J.s.
As we were driving the low beam lights completely quit working we quickly switched to the high beam lights which worked without any problems.at this time the incident was several months ago and the low beams still do not work at all.the trailblazer is designed for the lights to work at all times and they have never turned on since the incident.we have had no problems with the high beams and all signals seem to be functional.as i have researched the problem it has come to my attention that this is a problem seen by several people.i look forward to hearing from someone in regards to this problem.any information or help is greatly appreciated.
Ever since 50k on my trailblazer, the fuel gauge was been inaccurate. I will look at the gauge and it will be at 1/2 of a tank and just 20 miles later its at 1/4. Then it might go back up to 1/2. It would go away sometimes and come back but now it is back for sure, and will not go away. I tried another cluster in my trailblazer just to make sure it was not the gauge its self. It must be the fuel gauge sensor in the tank its self. It is getting to be aproblem. I have run out of gas twice now. Once while on hill, in a very extremely hilly area in ohio. The second time was on the freeway. Both times were dangerous as i was on the middle lane of the free way when it happened and, at the bottom of a blind hill the second time.
