I was driving a 2016 chevy tahoe on a residential street. My car lost all control of steering and brakes. While driving the car veered to the right and hit a car, continued on hitting 2 more parked cars, drove thru someone's large hedges, and was seconds away from driving into someone's house but was stopped when i hit the 2 parked cars in the driveway. My airbag also did not deploy. Two cars involved were totaled. Again, i had no control over the steering or the brakes. Thank god i'm alive and i didn't kill anyone.

While traveling southbound on a four lane highway at approximately 65-70mph (posted speed limit of 65) my 2016 chevrolet tahoe seemed to have no steering, similar to how a steering wheel feels when vehicle is off, as the vehicle was traveling over a knoll with a slight curve to the left. The accelerator was pressed to check to see if vehicle was in fact still running, which it was, but the steering wheel would not move. The brakes were applied at which time the tahoe darted left into the other lane where another vehicle was traveling, causing that vehicle to hit the tahoe in the drivers side back door. The tahoe then continued broadside until it broke free of impact with the other vehicle, and turned backward into the median. The tahoe travelled backwards thru the median for approximately 80ft at which time the accelerator was pressed to the floor in an attempt to keep the tahoe out of northbound traffic. The tahoe came out of the median broadside, back into the left lane & stopped. The steering wheel never moved during this accident. The state trooper suggested that the front wheels were locked the entire time based on the black marks in the road. Also, even with a direct side impact by the other vehicle, the side airbags did not deploy.

Vehicle showed "service air bag" message on dash display comes on every time vehicle is started. Took vehicle to nick mayer gm in lewisburg,tn and after diagnosis it was determined to need a passenger side air bag system replaced at a cost of 1380.00 vehicle was purchased new from this dealership by me as the only owner and has 34000actual miles the vehicle was in motion at the first warning on a city street,.dealership told me that with this condition complete air bag system is non funtional can you help me get this fixed??

Thursday, april 12, 2018. Heading to work one morning on the interstate, the girl in front of me put on breaks (we were in the fast lane), so i put on my breaks. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the driver behind me not paying attention and going 50-55 mph. I had enough time to brace myself before he hit me from behind which made me hit the person in front of me (i have video and pictures). Fortunately, my tahoe held up pretty good and didn't crumble with the type of impact it had. My concern is my airbags did deploy but actually didn't. The smoke came out from the airbags through the dash and my airbag sensor light came on my alerts on the dash.if i wouldn't have prepared and braced myself then my face would have gone in the steering wheel. I didn't see a recall but is there a reason they didn't come out?also, i was able to drive away from the scene to take the tahoe to body shop but the seat belt was locked in it's place and could not rebuckle (i was buckled during the crash)

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving approximately 55 mph, the contact struck a bear with the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed. The contact was not sure if a police report was filed. The contact received neck injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the body shop. The vehicle received repairs to the front frame; however, the additional repairs were unknown. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was included in an air bag recall. The nhtsa campaign number was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 10,004.

Air bag warning light came on will driving. Then turned off when restarted the car.will driving the in the rain the airbag warning light came back on and stay on.i tried to restart the car to see if the light would go out.it didn't. So is this a recall issue?

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving 70 mph, the suspension was unstable and the steering wheel made a clicking noise when turning left to right. In addition, there was an abnormal noise that had progressed within months of owning the vehicle while driving at a high rate of speed. The dealer (chevrolet of wesley chapel, 26922 wesley chapel blvd, wesley chapel, fl 33544, (813) 435-3981) provided a road test, but was unable to duplicate the failures. In addition, the back up camera displayed "service the rear back up camera", but the dealer could not provide a remedy. The dealer serviced the vehicle, but had not documented any invoice to specify the diagnosis of both failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was waiting for a permanent remedy to repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.

Service stabilitrak, stabilitrak initializing, steering assist reduced drive with caution, and park assist off are all dash errors on 2016 chevy tahoe that dealer is unable to fix after several attempts and costly repairs which resulted in full control of vehicle driving on highway and roads.steeringtightens, abs braking affected and traction is reduced when vehicle is in motion.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start and multiple unknown warning indicators were illuminated. The contact was able to jumpstart the vehicle and took it to walmart to have the battery replaced. The failure recurred two weeks later. The vehicle was taken to all star chevrolet (located at 11377 airline hwy, baton rouge, la 70816, (225) 298-8000) where it was diagnosed that the battery wiring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 89,400. *ln

I purchased a 2016 chevrolet tahoe last year from walker chevrolet. The vehicle has 16,000 miles. Issues i have with the vehicle. Current dealership is jim ellis chevrolet. 1. Transmission jerks when shifting. 2. Transmission will shift into first gear when hill assist is activated. 3. Navigation goes blank. 4. Volume button quits working and volume turns all the way up. 5. Tahoe squeaks from v8 to v4. 6. Loud metal popping noise when taking sharp left turns. 7. Navigation assistant will not mute. 8. Navigation will not shut off when the car is off and doors are locked. 9. Suspension makes awful noises when going over speed bumps and flexing. 10. Tahoe has a very rough idle in first gear. My primary concern is the safety of the vehicle. My wife almost wrecked the tahoe after the volume would not turn down from being stuck at the highest volume level. A tractor trailer almost rear-ended us after the hill assist activated and the gear went into to first. I went to jim ellis and told them specifically about these problems and i was told there was nothing wrong with the transmission because they can't reproduce the issue. I do not want my family's life in danger just because the issue cannot be reproduced with the transmission. I was also told the suspension and steering was fixed, but i immediately noticed the issue pulling out of the dealership.this is another safety concern. I was told the navigation was fixed, but the navigation and volume problems are happening more often the longer i drive the vehicle. Yet another safety concern. I called gm customer support and contacted the dealership.

When i start tahoe service stabilitrak, service power steering, steering assist reduced drive with caution, and park assist offall flash on dash. Brake light, abs light, and stabiltrak light are all on. There is no power steering while driving.tahoe has been at dealership for a week now. They have not been able to find the source of the problem.tahoe only has 60,000 miles on it.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that an error message appeared on the instrument panel, which indicated there was a camera malfunction. The contact stated that this was the safety camera that controlled the auto dimming of the headlights and also informed the contact when they were too close to another vehicle. The dealer stated that the parts were not available to replace the failed part. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 11,000.

My 2016 chevrolet tahoe ltz displayed "service front camera" when i got into the vehicle but didn't even start it yet. ( see pic) . I took it to the dealership they looked at it and told me yes its a known issue but gm has no repair procedure yet for it.the vehicle has 89 miles on it, have only had the vehicle for a couple of days. The windshield is perfectly clean and no obstructions of the front camera.the dealership said i will have to live with it until they have a fix for it. The problem is that the front camera runs most of the highly touted saftey features such as the, fca forward collision alert, lane deviation alert, ebs emergency braking system, and on and on...... So now the $70k+ vehicle that was hyped up to be sooo safe for my family now has most of the saftey features non -functioning and gmknew about this and still continues to sell the vehicle and wont repair. There are also many other electrical issues with this vehicle, but will notify in different report. This is terrible for a vehicle of this caliber. Im a loyal and dedicated past tahoe owner but this one may be going back. Im appalled that gm is letting vehicles continue to be sold with known saftey issues especially since they just got caught with the whole ignition switch fiasco.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While the vehicle was stationary, the defroster failed. The contact stated that water entered from the antenna and caused an electrical failure in the vehicle. Chevrolet of wesley chapel (26922 wesley chapel blvd, wesley chapel, florida 33544, (813) 435-3981) was made aware of the failure and diagnosed that the antenna needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with case number: 8-4680994969. The failure mileage was unknown.

My airbag light came on and it stays on

Since i have bought this vehicle in 2016 i have had nothing but continuous problems with it.1.2016 tahoe w/ 96,000 miles began riding extremely rough any speed. So much bounce and jarring that the car is unsafe to drive on any rough road. Took it to the dealer, the magnetic ride control shocks and struts failed and are fully extended. Cost to repair over $3,000 for 4 shocks/struts.2. My fuel injection is horrible and has caused me to lose mpg on my mileage.it hesitates on acceleration and when it set on cruise - basically all the time like its chugging constantly.3. My brakes have been recalled and the pressure is not consistent on the,.all of this before i even hit 100,000 miles.i paid $74k for this vehicle in 2016 and i have had to put literally ~$8k in vehicle maintenance in it since.very very disappointed!!

Its seems that the abs computer stopped working and the break and traction control assist also.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that after the ignition key was turned to the on position, the vehicle failed to start without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,400. The vin was not available.

The car was parked. We got in & shut the doors. When i tried to start the car, the doors locked automatically. I could not open the doors or roll down the windows. It was well over 100 degrees in the car. We were trapped in the car. While on the phone with 911, i was able to get the car to release the door locks and we escaped. The doors automatically locked and could not be opened. Evidently the battery was dead and the system shut down. There was no indication the battery was low. Having doors automatically lock and be disabled due to a battery is a huge safety hazard.

Tahoe has been in the shop 9 times in one year, "service 4wd","slow to 3mph to shift to 4wd low" and "service stabilink". Vehicle has tried to pull to the right while driving at highway speed, almost causing loss of control. Gmc has replace several shorts in electrical system ( while never finding cause).

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v761000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to chevrolet of lowell (831 rogers st, lowell, ma 01852,(978) 458-2526), but was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The contact had not experienced a failure.

As i was driving the error light came on stating there was a camera malfunction. This is a safety camera/system on the front of the truck, which controls the stability control, speed, braking system, electronic bind spot detection, etc.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle would not immediately stop, and the stopping distance was extended. The contact indicated that on several occasions the brake pedal was firm and hard when pressed. On other occasions the pedal would extend to the floor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and serviced under the nhtsa campaign number: 19v761000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) however, the failure persisted. The contact also indicated that the transmission was faulty. After taking the vehicle to the dealer no trouble code was found. No further information was available. The failure mileage was 26,000.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v761000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was currently at ray chevrolet (39 n us-12, fox lake, il 60020, (847) 587-3300) where the contact was informed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

My 2016 tahoe ltz has a rough, shaky idle while in park. The pip5211e was performed at dealer about one month ago and condition persists. It is absolutely noticeable to all my passengers who sit in the vehicle while its idling in park! please help or advise on how to correct this problem. This is not the way a brand new $74k vehicle should run. It feels like the vehicle is going to stall at times. Dealer service department is no help at fixing or addressing the problem.the condition is constant while in park idling and sllighy present when in drive with brake applied.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact stated that the failure previously occurred. The vehicle was towed to courtesy chevrolet (1233 e camelback rd, phoenix, az 85014, (602) 457-3232) where it was diagnosed that high temperature weather caused the engine to stall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.

Intermitten occuranceduring acceleration, between 1st and 2nd gear a "lag" "low power" occurs causing a lunge. 27,000 miles

While driving in the summer, my wife informed me that the vehicle had stalled and almost died--shortly after, the ac was not working. I left work and came to her--found that the compressor belt had shredded off. Took the vehicle to dealer and they replaced compressor. A month later, my wife was driving home on the interstate and the vehicle started stalling and jerking.the check engine light started blinking and traction control light also illuminated. I trailered the vehicle to our home a few miles away. I did notice the long bolt holding the new compressor was loose (1/4" space between bolt head and washer). The bolt was tightened, but did not appear to be a contributing factor. When idling, the engine jerks so hard that the entire car shakes-the engine nearly dies.. For some time, the vehicle has produced an unusual purring/clicking noise while navigating thru a parking lot or something at slow speeds--sounds like in the transmission or torque converter? the vehicle is being towed to the dealership now for their diagnosis.

I was driving my 2016 tahoe when it began to shake violently, the check engine light and the traction light came on then the vehicle began to loose power. I pulled over and parked the vehicle and it shut off. When attempting to crank the vehicle up again it made a very loud sound and died. After having it towed to a local shop it was found that the value spring in the #2 cylinder was broken and the push rod was bent. At the time the vehicle had 75,200 miles on it. Now, i am experiencing a chugging feeling when i stop the vehicle. Pretty sure i have another spring that's about to break.

Vehicle has a rough idle and trying to die while in gear drive or reverse it is more noticeable and worse when vehicle is stopped in gear

The vehicle has rough idle or shake when stopped at a stop sign or red light in drive. However sometimes you canfeel it when parked.

Cpcs:i began to notice a static sound coming from the radio which became very irritating over a period of time. I took the vehicle to get checked out and the service department could not hear the noise.the consumer also stated there was a vibration in the steering. The steering also experienced pulling when the vehicle reaches about 50 mph. The consumer was advised these are characteristics of the vehicle. And there was no solution for them.updated 05/10/2017

Attached is a picture of the condensation in the headlights issue.it just never dries up and has been like this for over 6 months straight.all this water blocks the headlights from working properly and shining correctly.it interferes with the safety of my headlights.i read several blogs of other tahoe's in this age group of 2015, 2016 that are having this very frustrating issue.i believe it should be a recall as there's no way i should be having to replace headlights for $750 each this soon.it is not safe to drive like this.

As i was driving the error light came on stating there was a camera malfunction. This is a safety camera/system on the front of the truck, which controls the stability control, speed, braking system, electronic bind spot detection, etc.

My neighbors' chevrolet tahoe has reverse lights that stay on after the doors are locked and the driver is walking away from the car.i have seen young and high-school age children playing behind the car while the reverse lights are lit which caused me to shout and run. If the children, or adults for that matter, can take those reverse lights for granted then there's a potential they can be killed by another car were those lights only light up when they're in reverse.i believe all gm vehicles work this way.

Gm products now have an unsafe condition when unlocking the doors.the vehicles turn on the reverse lights when the doors are unlocked, leading other drivers to believe that the car is backing up.this causes other drivers in parking lots to stop when they should not thinking that the car is about to back up, and will ultimately cause drivers to ignore gm product reverse lights as they are not used solely for backing up.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that an error message appeared on the instrument panel, which indicated there was a camera malfunction. The dealer stated that the parts were not available to replace the failed part. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 11,000.

Interior lights on dashboard turn off then they flicker/pulsate, headlights and exterior break lights flicker/pulsate constantly. It's more noticeable at night while in motion. Other drivers think i'm flashing my lights at them. Checked all connections of the battery and also the alternator by mechanic and no problem was found..

Its seems that the abs computer stopped working and the break and traction control assist also.

My brand new 2016 chevy tahoe shakes while at idle in "drive". This issue has been taken up with the dealership who acknowledges the rough idle but says "it's within acceptable limits". It is not acceptable to feel like you have gerbals running under your seat while stopped at a red light. It is constant and extremely annoying. If they are going to make a car that shakes, not tell the customer about the problem and then charge over $50,000 for the vehicle, shame on them.this will be the last gm vehicle that i purchase.i will also gladly discourage anyone looking for an suv to purchase a gm vehicle.

Went thru the car wash and the car filed up with gas fumes on my way home sitting at a stoplight the fumes came thru the vents.eyes were burning it was so strong i also had to put a new transmission at 90,000

Smell of gasoline. Dealership checked the vehicle and at first could not duplicate. Then right before returning the vehicle back to me, the dealership was able to recreate the smell. After testing they returned the vehicle with a carbon monoxide detector to be kept inside my passenger door compartment on driver side. They were not able to come up with a determination as to why the smell was so strong, but did state they were able to recreate the smell in the 2016 models but not the 2017s. They stated there was nothing more they could do unless new complaints are filed. The odor is unbearable at this point and am not willing to having my little ones continuously exposed to the toxins. The smell happens upon start of the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle brand new off lot less than 50 miles and it has been an issue since i have had the vehicle.

Vehicle stutters and loses power and lunges after coming to a complete stop and taking off ususally between 2nd and 3rd gear and 3rd and 4th gear. Has been idling rough as if it is missing or out of time. Veh has had a power surge and accelerated independently. Has down shifted from 4th to 2nd while travelling up hill and veh slowed and would not shift again. Veh has to be turned off and restarted.

The vehicle is leaking gasoline from the tank. Suspect it is leaking from the fuel line on top of the tank--no holes or impact on tank apparent on the under side. In addition, the vehicle is still leaking oil from the drain pan even after re-sealed by dealer.this is all in addition to the a/c going out twice....and new lifters in the engine.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact stated that the failure previously occurred. I first noticed the vehicle did not want to go a couple times after being at a red light. Acted as if it was in neutral and then would abruptly shift. Check engine light was on. Have just over 83,000 miles on it and was very good at getting it maintenanced. I had the oil changed 3 days before and at that time i mentioned about what was going on but they would have to have the vehicle for much longer to check it out and i could not wait. 3 days later while in drive the rpms were reving up while in motion on the street but the vehicle would not accelerate forward. I had it towed to a mechanic and was told the transmission was blown. The vehicle did not have that many miles on it for this to happen i feel.

I put our tahoe into park and went into a convenience store.unfortunately, when i came back my tahoe was gone. It had rolled down and out of the parking lot into an electric pole guide wire.but, after much research, video replay and trying to duplicate the problem, i think i might understand happened.you can actually put the gear shift lever in a position where it thinks its in park, without the transmission being in park.the indicator says its in park, and the doors unlock, thinking its in park, but the transmission isn't actually locked in park because the lever is in an up position and not back.if you hit the power button with the lever in this up position, and get out of the vehicle without looking at the display saying the "shift to park", the car can roll because its actually in reverse.for me no display should say its in park if its not.

Had vehicle worked on and transmission started acting up after got truck back.

While driving down a city street, transmission slips and/or does not catch on acceleration. Jerking motion as it searches to catch gears. Faint burning smell.

An issue recently started occurring where it will stall momentarily and not move while in gear. The engine will rev, but is not transferred to the wheels. It has progressively gotten worse in the last few days. On 5/4/21, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road and would not move.

Tahoe feels like it wants to shift gears when it's not going above 25mph.it's happened on city streets. It happens as soon as the tahoe is put into gear. It does not happen all of the time though.it goes away after i drive it for a couple of miles. It has not happened on the highway. Other times it feels like there's no power to the engine even when its in motion. At first i thought it was the brakes because it feels like its stuttering, like its misfiring, but i've had the brakes checked and they're fine. There's also a check engine light that the mechanics i've taken it to can't decipher why its on. I can't remember the first time it happened, but it has happened several times, and i don't know what the mileage on the odometer was when it first happened. I've had the tahoe for 4 years now.

While driving on highway , when needing to accelerate to pass vehicle using medium to medium heavy acceleration, instead of transmission kicking down to passing gear, it hangs up into neutral and engine revs up to and pass redline before i was able to release accelerator pedal. After letting off accelerator when the engine winds down to around 3500 revs it severely engages into gear with a loud bang and jolts the entire vehicle. This has happened 3 times and is going in to dealership in 4 days. Vehicle has 4473 miles on it. Vehicle also has several other severe electrical issues but after exhaustive procedure to have gm replace or buy back vehicle they have refused. This is my fourth tahoe and will be my last. A loyal tahoe owner for a long time and the new one is the worse. Terrible customer service for a vehicle of over $77,000 and less than 5000 miles on it.

The truck at times will down shift on its own.

On 3 separate occasions, the 2016 tahoe i am driving has jumped from drive to neutral while driving down the road at speeds between 45-60 mph. On one occasion, i was fortunate to avoid a major accident while merging on the interstate. I have since turned the vehicle in. Gm dealerships in baton rouge, la refuse to fix the vehicle. I have seen quite a few complaints on this same issue and hope that gm steps up to the plate before someone dies. Owners around the world need to be notified because somewhere someone may have already lost their lives in an accident and did not live to tell about why the accident occurred. The family should be getting retribution from gm. Very sad. My last gm vehicle.

Safety problem- transmission is shuddering. Car stopped - pulling out into traffic, car hesitates to move and feels like its in neutral while pressing the gas then finally violently jerks into gear. Car drives as if transmission is slipping. Rpm is fluctuating. Car also has a weird vibration - transmission shudder.this is a life threatening issue

On september 12, 2020 vehicle had a rough idle and tried to stall at the first stop made after car sat for a few hours car did not stall completely. At the second stop at a red light, the vehicle stalled, was put into park and re started. Every time the vehicle came to an idle it stalled for the duration of the trip home. Every time the vehicle stalled it shut off very violently and jumped forward. This would have caused an accident had there been a vehicle in front of me. It felt as if i was rear ended. Vehicle sat over night and was test driven the next day and problem seemed to go away. Idle was a little rough and the vehicle also ran slightly rough while driving. At this point no check engine or dashboard lights were on and all gauges seemed normal. Car was driven almost every day as normal, approximately 60 miles a day 4 days a week with no obvious problems and only a slightly noticeable rough idle and rough drive. Today, september 26, 2020, two weeks later, the vehicle was driven 30 miles after sitting over night and sat for 8 hours. Within 2 miles of driving the vehicle after sitting for the 8 hours, the vehicle was having severe problems shifting into the appropriate gear and the rpm was all over the place. The speed of the vehicle was extremely difficult to control and easily could have caused an accident.the vehicle was able to go approximately 2 more miles. After the vehicle came to a stop at a red light, i tried to accelerate and the vehicle did not move forward. The rpm was going up, the engine was running, and the vehicle was in drive but acted like it was in neutral. I tried putting the vehicle in park and back into drive with no success. I also tried turning the vehicle off and re starting it with no success. The vehicle blocked traffic and was in an unsafe location until a tow truck came and moved the vehicle.

Purchased car with 120 miles, about 25k miles i noticed small delay in acceleration when going from complete stop.mentioned to dealer they stated all was ok.at 50k miles the delay in acceleration was far more noticeable.i would accelerate and rpm would go up to 4,5 or6 before car would move start to move. Brought back to dealer, did road test with tech and he acknowledged that something didn't feel right stated he would have transmission specialist look it over.after having car for 2 weeks we did another road test with master technician and he stated hard shifting was normal acceleration for this truck because of variable transmission.he said ultimately there are no trouble codes so car is 100% fine.at 63,000 miles the transmission gave out!i drove car on highway about 145 miles with no issue, i was driving on a city street when i stopped at a red light.the light turned green and when i pressed on accelerator car would not move. Finally after a few seconds of engine revving car jerked back and rolled forward slightly.was able to drive car into strip mall parking lot. Took back to dealer and they are saying the transmission is out but can't explain why we still have no trouble codes!they are not willing to cover because it is 3,000 miles out of warranty.

Transmission seems to be slipping while in drive. Revs high but doesn't shift into gear nearly leaving me strained at an intersection after traffic light changed. Would struggle to get up to speed while shifting through the gears. I bought vehicle used with approximately 85k miles in april 2019 and previous owner had all the maintenance completed as required. The vehicle has roughly 90k miles on now. Vehicle has been sitting at chevy dealer in imlay city, michigan almost two weeks and they have yet to repair the vehicle. I've used this vehicle to tow my boat. When in reverse and backing boat into water at boat ramp i've applied the brakes and it seems to take a second or two for the brakes to react making it feel like the vehicle is still moving in reverse. Not sure if this an issue with the recent brake recall sept 2019or transmission issues.

While traveling on the pa turnpike 3/31/16 apprx.3:00 pm, i experienced total transmission failure. Only after seeing smoke emitting from the vehicle, would the heavy traffic allow me to pull to the shoulder. I put the trans into park and back into drive, allowing me to move appx100 yards to a safer pull off. The vehicle is at the dealer and gm has been contacted case # 8-1908837872. No further contact by me to gm, or from gm to me.

The transmission is defective. Bucks, jumps, and hard shifts decelerating or accelerating.i drive for cancer treatments with my kids and grandchildren.monday we were almost unable to make it home.inability to accelerate to merge onto interstate.so hard and loud we thought the transmission was going to fall out in the tunnel.after researching i noticed gm has a pending class action lawsuit for the issue. Dealership kept telling me it was the spark plug wires and plugs. Replaced twice to no avail.i noticed there are issues reported for the tahoe and the traverse.even though these two vehicles are not listed in the lawsuit; the tahoe 4wd has the same v8 engine as the sierra, escalade, and silverado.this is a major safety issue . Regardless of a legal loophole of design vs defect or materials.

The right center row seat belt retracts slowly and not all the way leaving it loose hanging. No twists are found in the belt itself causing an obstruction to retracting.

Engine has been making a clicking sound for the last year. We took it in and they were unable to pinpoint the problem. Within the last couple months the brakes seem mushy when pressed at low speeds, such as driving into the garage or a parking space. We have to push the break pedal down to the floor for the vehicle to stop. We almost ran into the wall in the garage because the vehicle wouldn't stop when the brakes were pressed. We took it in and they informed us that there was a leak in the brake vacuum pump. Mostly likely this is why the engine has been making a ticking sound, because of the leak.

While applying brake pedal pressure at slow speeds (under 15 mph), and while in reverse gear, my 2016 chevrolet tahoe ls fails to stop. The brake pedal also appears to lose power assist and will not depress even under extreme foot pressure applications. This results in the vehicle continuing to roll uncontrollably. The condition also occurs when in drive (albeit not as frequently as while in reverse) and also at slow speed. Vehicle was brought in to atlantic chevrolet (ny) for a recall but the condition was not rectified. This condition occurs intermittently but is extremely precarious in proximity to pedestrians and other vehicular traffic.recall # n192268490nhtsa campaign number: 19v645 and 20v603

Experienced spongy/soft pedal and increased stopping distance. Took vehicle to dealer thinking it needed new brakes and was told it needed a new vacuum pump, booster and master cylinder at a cost of $1,400. I was told that this was a known issue with several gm models but the vehicle was 2,500 miles/10 days out of warranty at the time.

After vehicle has been parked, when put in reverse trying to back out of a parking space the brakes do not activate and barely can get the vehicle stopped..it has happened multiple times.feel likei can't get the vehicle stopped even pressing or pumping the beakes!! it's a matter of time before i hit something.very scary!when i shift itinto drive to go forward they work just fine.

When driving at slow speeds, particularly to park, the brakes did not work. You can put the pedal to the floor and the vehicle keeps going. This only occurs when at a slower speed, in both drive and reverse. I have taken it to a mechanic and the vacuum pump has to be replaced. This is very dangerous and could have caused an accident, as i almost hit another car because i couldn't stop.

At slow speeds the vehicle does not brake. To get the vehicle to stop you have to tap them repeatedly very hard for it to acknowledge that you are braking.

Brake pedal becomes hard to stop at slower speeds. Vacuum booster is notworking properly. Just started this week.

Brakes do not work when going at a slow pace.have taken the car in 2x and they cannot fin anything wrong.just took in for 3rd time and this time i drove in the car with them.they confirmed they brakes are not working properly.

When driving at low speeds after i depress the brake pedal a few times, the brake pedal gets very stiff and is almost impossible to stop the vehicle.

Brake pedal became extremely hard to push first instance was slowing to make a right hand turn after nearly crashing got vehicle stopped after sitting for a while brakes returned to normal operation. Second instance backing into parking space petel went to floor no brakes then petal came up and was extremely hard to press down hitting another vehicle in the process. After a period of time brakes went back to normal operation.

Was involved in a auto accident in sept 2017 in which i rear ended another vehicle.i was traveling southbound on greenmount road in shiloh il. Coming to a stop at a stoplight at about 30 mph, i was trying to kill a spider so my eyes were off the road but when the collision alert alarm sounded i immedietly hit the brakes which were hard making braking difficult there is no way an impact should have happended. When the collision alert alarm sounds the brake pedals became hard making the stopping of the chevy tahoe impossible so i could not avoid rear ending of the vehicle in front of me. Now while driving the tahoe without the collision alert activated the suv stops like normal, only when the collision alert is activated does the hard brake pedals occur which to me is the opposite effect.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle did not immediately stop when the brake pedal was depressed and crashed into another vehicle. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was towed and serviced at hendrix chevrolet (1500 savannah hwy, charleston, sc) for the brake failure. The failure mileage was 58,000.

Brakes failed to engage on the vehicle when pressure applied.occurred multiple times.gm fails to acknowledge this as a known and widespread issue, yet with a simple google search, you can see it has affected numerous people and vehicles.sounds like a recall should have been issued by now but yet there are none.

Brakes got hard when driving onto expressway tahoe has only 42000 miles and heard theres been alot of issues with the vacuum pump what i have read.there needs to bea recall

I am a police fleet manager that has an all chevy tahoe fleet.in october 2019, i received notification for chevy recall n192268490 and every vehicle in the fleet was taken in for the recall.the recall was to reprogram the brakes, so braking would still be possible even if the brake booster failed.however, the recall did not address the root of the problem, which is a faulty secondary hydraulic brake assist vacuum pump.i was aware of this problem because i had two tahoes already have a vacuum booster failure, which resulted in an extremely hard brake pedal which would not stop the vehicle.the problem arises during slow speed braking, such as parking lots or slow speed patrol.less than a week after taking the vehicles to chevy for the recall, an officer was maneuvering slowly in a parking lot.the vehicle experienced an extremely hard brake pedal and the vehicle failed to stop.the officer was able to turn the vehicle, barely avoiding a collision.obviously, gm's band-aid recall does not fix or even override the problem.the vehicle was taken back to the dealership, where the service providers agreed the recall was a placebo and there is an issue with the vacuum booster.as per a recent letter from gm, they have given an extended warranty on the vacuum pump, for free replacement.so, obviously they know there is a problem.the liability placed on municipalities, who have no other choice but to use their fleet vehicles with known braking issues, is an unfair burden and risk.gm needs to recall and replace the vacuum boosters!

We took a family vacation to ny and almost died because our brakes went out. If you research 100's of people have had their 2016 tahoe brake pump fail. I am also experience my car jerking. I am beyond myself that a recall hasn't been issued because i am getting ready to go pay for a part that is faulty. You want to make this recall fast or people will die. You cannot have your brakes go out like that!! i didn't spend $50k on a cash less than 2 years ago for my family to die.

As i approached a red light the brake pedal depressed nearly to the floor and with no warning a popping noise sounded from the vehicle followed by the brake pedal suddenly depressing completely into the floor. I was able to safely pull the vehicle to the side of the road and get the vehicle to a safe location given the lack of braking abilities. This is a several ton vehicle and i expect the brakes to work at all times. This is unacceptable. I brought the vehicle to the dealer once before to remedy this recall but it was clearly not fixed. The loss of braking ability was followed by a message on the dash stating "service braking system immediately", followed by "service brake assist". A light illuminated on the dash as well and i am unsure of the specific meaning of this light. A second light showing "abs" was flashing to also catch my attention to the current issue at hand.

Lost power to brakes - difficulty stopping at low speeds - nearly hit car in front of me - car felt like it would not stop

When driving at slow speeds as in a parking lot the brakes fail to stop truck. This happened three times with in a 30 minute time period.

As i was driving the error light came on stating there was a camera malfunction. This is a safety camera/system on the front of the truck, which controls the stability control, speed, braking system, electronic bind spot detection, etc.

On two separate occasions i have lost control of the vehicle. The first time i was turning and thought maybe i hit a slick spot on the road but the same thing did not happen to other cars. The second time i was driving straight on a secondary road and out of nowhere the car started sliding like it was on ice but the brakes and steering were non functional. I could turn the wheel and press the brakes but nothing happened. There was no indication that there were any issues with the car, no alarms or messages came up before, during, or after the incidents. I was very lucky in both instances in that there were no oncoming cars. This has been extremely terrifying and i refuse to drive the car anymore. Heaven forbid my children or anyone else had been in the car.

Loss of brake power at low speeds.took a long distance, longer than normal for the vehicle to finally stop.almost hit numerous cars.i had to apply the parking brake in order to avoid hitting a family in the parking lot at disneyland, in anaheim, ca and other cars.had the tahoe towed to our dealership, where they replaced the vacuum pump assembly.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving at low speeds, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to operate as intended. The vehicle was taken to heinrich chevrolet (located at 5775 s transit rd, lockport, ny 14094, (716)-514-4134) where it was diagnosed that there was an internal opening in the vacuum pump, which caused the failure while braking. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 57,361.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that the brakes did not work while driving at slow speeds. Obx chevrolet buick (6166 n c croatan hwy, kitty hawk, nc 27949, (252) 429-5552) diagnosed that the brake boosters failed. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was 20,000.

Its seems that the abs computer stopped working and the break and traction control assist also.

Breaks failed on two separate occasions approximately 3 weeks apart while attempting to stop coming into the garage. Breaks worked fine pulling into the driveway.

On january 29, 2021, my 2016 tahoe lt, with 69,676 miles, experienced a "brake vacuum assist pump failure". The vehicle was on a flat surface (driveway), in reverse, moving very slowly backward, when i engaged the foot brake pedal it was hard and would not stop the vehicle immediately, the vehicle eventually stopped after an abnormal distance (without warning the brakes failed to engage). Once i stopped, i turned off the ignition, waited a few minutes, then started the ignition and no warning sensors/ lights were displayed. I then placed the vehicle in drive to check the brakes. I moved forward slowly, when i pushed the foot brake pedal it was once again hard causing me to pump the brakes which caused the brake pedal to become fluttering and the pedal was pushed to the floor, the vehicle eventually stopped after an abnormal distance (without warning the brakes failed to engage). Because of the severe safety risk, i had no choice but to replace the 'brake vacuum assist pump' on february 2, 2022, at my cost.

I have experienced "hard braking" of my vehicle.while traveling at very slow speeds, when i brake - the brake pedal does not go down in its normal fashion. I must apply the brakes very hard, and the vehicle feels like its not going to stop. I had recently read about this problem and document this happened to me on numerous occasions.it happened as recently as yesterday.

At very low speeds, brakes do not work.backing out of drive, pulling into garage, waiting in traffic on a hill.push down on breaks and nothing stops.works fine when at normal speeds.dealership could not create issue at their site.has happened 10+ times at home and in parking lots and in traffic jams.began noticing around 40000 miles.vehicle at 49000 miles now.

Truck mileage is 48k. Drove about 8 miles to restaurant for dinner and all wasnormal. Came out of restaurant and started truck in parking garage and steering wheel wouldn't budge without great effort and then only in half inch increments. Took a cab home and and had truck towed to sport chevrolet for service. Brakes required replacement of the vacuum pump under warranty. The steering rack had to be replaced for $2880 not under warranty. Issue is sudden total steering rack failure with no graceful degradation. If it had happen at highway speed i wouldn't be here to report the failure.

Brakes felt like they were slipping and the vehicle would continue to roll for a minimum of 5 feet. "service brake assist" message was shown and the brake module was replaced.vehicle was in motion 24 hours after replacing module on a major highway and "service brake assist" appeared on the dash.brake pedal was hard and braking system was completely inoperable.

While driving at slow speeds or idling, my brake pedal becomes stiff and hard to push, making it very difficult to stop. This has happened mostly when i am pulling in to a parking spot. There was no emergency alert showing.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving 5 mph, the vehicle shook when the brake pedal was depressed. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The contact stated that antelope valley chevrolet (located at 1160 motor ln, lancaster, ca 93534, (877) 385-0885) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and filed claim number: [xxx]. The part was not available for the repair. The failure mileage was unknown.

I have an issue with my tahoe and i noticed some other vehicles have the same issue but mine doesn't have that recall.i been seeing service brake assist on my display, and with that i have problems stopping my vehicle at a slow speed.it usually happens when i'm backing up out of my garage, or trying to park at a parking space.i have to press down on the pedal hard to stop, at one time i had to pur it in neutral cause i couldn't stop.i'm afraid one of these days it won't stop and i will cause an accident or damages cause of this issue.like i said i don't understand why other vehicles with the same issue have recall, i researched and it seems that from 2015 to 2017 they have recalls.i would like to get this issue fixed.

Brake failure/ hard brake required to stop vehicle.vacuum pump failed.

I am experiencing loss of brake booster function at low speeds.i have read about the vacuumpump and the conditions match exactly

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving 5 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to rick hendrix chevrolet (located at 5665 airport-pulling rd, naples, fl 34109, (239) 301-3621) where it was diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,250.

Took vehicle to dealership for engine light and complete power loss while driving 70mph on highway. Was told uneven wear on brakes, that they needed to be replaced soon (25083, miles on vehicle)they did not inform me of the notice about uneven front brake pad wear bulletin #pit5377d. Anaow at latest check , metal to metal, was informed of the bullein from a brake place. Dealership was well aware of vehicle having defective pads and rotors, yet didnot inform customer!

Brakes hard to push and make a grinding noise when going at slower speeds. Like in parking lots, red lights or at a drive thru. It sounds like when the antilock breaking system kicks in. This is causing the vehicle to take a farther distance to stop.

Vehicle experiences delayed stopping at low speeds. The initial incident occurred on 10/16/20 while approaching a 4 way stop--the vehicle rolled thru the stop. On 10/21/20 it occurred again while parking the vehicle, pulled up slightly and stopped to put in reverse, but the vehicle continued to roll. No accidents occurred in these situations as no other vehicles were around. Owner's husband inspected brake pads and all were within specification and brake fluid was at appropriate level--noted that when the break pedal was depressed multiple times the pressure could be felt building at the pedal but vehicle would still roll.

My 2016 chevy tahoe shook so bad at 69-74, mph my husband was scared to ride with me. Took to dealer they kept suv for 4 days and said it was the tires. I put new tires on but it still rides rough. Now i hear it's because i have 22 in wheels that makes it ride rough. Since the tires have been changed about 2 months now ive been having slow speed brake problems. I've almost hit several cars in a parking lot at different times because the brake want stop. I've even almost hit my husbands new truck in our driveway. Took it to mechanic, put on machine and now said it's a vac. Pump issue. I've had many tahoe and this one is making me want to get away from chevy.

At slow speeds brake hits the bottom and vehicle doesn't stop. Dealer admits brake vacuum failure.

Hi im writing again to report on 2016 chevy tahoe vacumm asst failure / defective parts the tahoe had at the time of the crash 40,475! i had just picked up my vehicle from service at jack schmitt chevrolet for unrelated issue i was 2 miles from the dealership heading southbound on green mount rd. Approaching a stop lighti was slowing down coming up to the light when spider fell between my legs so i attempted to kill it at the same time the collision alert activated and i immediately hit the brakes but the pedal was hard and the suv was not stopping like i thought it should so i started making evasive action to avoid rear ending the car at the light. I pulled the steering wheel all the way to the right but the suv kept moving not slowing as it should have and hit rear passenger side back oh the car in front of me causing nominal damage to both vehicles about 12,000 for the tahoe which i got repaired so i chalk it up as my fault but i kept noticing the suv on several occasions seemed like it was still moving when it should stopped. Months passed and i was looking up possible causes and on a web site a complaint made by somebody who's tahoe was doing the same thing that's when i filed a claim with chevy/gm somewhere around june 20 2018 and spoke monique hill who took my report and months later denied my claim and in the same letter said get your vacum asst serviced and i thought that was strange! anyway i did get it serviced at jack schmitt chevy in ofallon il 6186252800 and was told the vacuum assist was defective and they had to order the parts to repair also they had to give me a car rental because the 2016 chevy tahoe was unsafe for the road and that would be held liable if they let me take it and i'm pissed at that point all this time i could have been killed! i was hurt and hurt for about a year sure back and neck and they just denied denied denied! please help

Brakes consistently soft pressure especially on downgrades.came close to hitting parked cars at traffic lights.brake was pressed almost to the floor before it stopped.i have taken it into dealership where they have changed pads fixed rotors but still very soft mushy brakes.many complaints i am reading about this 2016 tahoe.when parked pressing brake 3 times is when it finally feels like it is in correct position.i owed 2008 suburban for 10 years and had no problems with the braking system.

When driving at low speeds, both turning and driving straight, the brake pedal becomes so firm that it cannot be depressed. I am unable to stop the vehicle without pumping the brakes. The dealership is charging $700 to replace the vacuum pump and is familiar with the issue.

Just recently got my brakes re-programmed and immediately they continued not to function correctly. The warning lights don't come on but they still do not stop in time. In a parking lot i could not stop and hit a sign in front of the parking space. Will chevrolet fix the damage caused by my car. Also noted in a drive-through cannot get stopped in time when trying to follow cars. And it backing down a hill at slower speeds car will not stop. Brakes just shake when you try to push them.thinking of getting an attorney because i need someone to fix my car now

Hello my tahoe was in a chevrolet dealer on october 25 because of a brake recall, the truck was 'fixed' that same day. The only thing is that my truck won't start anymore since then. I had my truck parked in a garage since the day we got home from the dealer and today 11/13/19 when i get to turn it on it just won't start. Also my husband had a car accident due to the brakes not working in april of this year before we knew the truck was on recall. He was in a city street and he tried to brake because the car in front of his was making a stop the brakes just didn't work, he tried to avoid the car by turning to his left but the front side our truck hit the back of the car. I have all the information of the insurance when the accident happened. Thank you hope to hear from you soon.

In several instances the 2016 tahoe ltz will not stop if you are going slow like in a drive thru or picking up kids from school i have had the tahoe in for the reprogramming of the vacuum pump but it still does it noticed it the other day when backing the boat in the water i have had it to the dealership a couple of times i have had the back brake calibers replaced at my own expense i have contacted the dealership a few times to tell them that the recall they said they fixed is still not fixed they said they did what the recall called for i am just letting you know that i do not think the reprogramming works it is still an issue i am for certain this is not the fix for the 2016 chevy tahoe brake vacuum pump problem.

At low speed (gridlock traffic), brake pedal became very difficult to press and would not fully stop the vehicle

Brakes failed 3 times, once pulling into parking space, i rolled down a step driveway into street across street and into neighbors yard and once when a tech from dealership was test driving it, he almost hit the building.the vehicle was in motioneach incident.

While driving various speeds, the brake pedal was applied, but was difficult to depress. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to darling's chevrolet (121 downeast hwy, ellsworth, me 04605, 866-575-2434) where it was diagnosed that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 95099372350. The failure mileage was 69,800.

When driving, driver and passengers get severe headaches, dizziness, and disorientation.the car also vibrates quite a bit.the pressure inside the cabin can be felt upon turning on the vehicle, and opening the windows does not help.the sensation almost feels magnetic.the original tires failed a road balance test and were replaced.this did not help the issue.

Vehicle shakes and vibrates at speeds above70mph. At speeds of 80mph the shake is very pronounced and the vehicle stability is affected.vehicle has been doing this since day one. Dealership has tried replacing tires multiple times but nothing has worked. Difficult and dangerous to drive the vehicle between 70-80 mph

Left front vibration, shake at all speeds when pulling a trailer.can be reproduced by placing two 60# sand bags in rear cargo area

Occasional loss of power steering was experienced earlier in week which resulted in a near accident with oncoming vehicles while wife was driving to work. The sudden loss of power near on upcoming school area and intersection resulted in the car staying on a straight path during a turn around20-25 mph until my wife could luckily muscling through the steering to straighten vehicle. The vehicle was brought to dealer and diagnosed with failing or failed power steering rack but a part was not in stock.the 2016 ltz tahoe has now lost complete power steering abilities as we wait for dealer to obtain oem replacement part.

I have a 2016 chevy tahoe with 33,000 miles on it and the paint on the hood and roof and the sides of the suvis cracking with lines / swirl running all over the outside of the suv i brought it to a couple body shop and inform me the truck was not painted properly. Because you could see the steel body showing through the paint

Very poor coating on frame. Coating peels and flakes off, even on a lightly used vehicle. After coating peels off the frame and components begins to rust.

Running boards are slippery when wet need to modify ?

My sunroof is leaking by the driver side visor and above the driver side window when it rains and the sunroof makes a loud whistling noise when i go over 60 mph.

I have a 2016 tahoe that i purchased new from dealer. I had also purchased a protection plan with finishing touch that they talked us into when we bought the car on the paint and interior. 3.5 years into ownership the paint on the hood and roof faded. We contacted the protection plan and they were more than willing to take care of. They sent an adjuster out and he classified as clear coat failure. Then the run around started. I contacted chevrolet and i contacted the dealership. We took the car to the dealership and talked with the assistant manager in the service department. He brought out the manager and he confirmed that it was paint failure. So then the dealership gets involved with chevrolet. The first call comes back and says they will cover 20%. I told them that some one was going to cover the repairs and it won't be me. They sold me a protection plan through finishing touch for the paint and the interior so someone needs to cover the damage. After a few days i get a call stating that between the dealership, chevrolet and finishing touch it would be repaired at no cost.now it gets better. We took the vehicle back to the dealership to have the hood and the roof repainted. After a week at the body shop the car is ready to be picked up. We walk up to the car and it is all shiny and looking good. But the color doesn't match. We call the service manager out and he says he can't see the issue. The tahoe is a brownstone metallic and the hood is more bronze than the rest of the vehicle. He tells me he can get the paint manager to come speak to me because he can't see the problem. This is a overcast day so it doesn't show really bright but my husband and i can see the difference. While we are waiting for the manager from the body shop to arrive we walk around the vehicle. Dealership states chevrolet will not blend the paint to match.

The exterior paint starting fading, clear coat not holding up

2016 tahoe w/ 96,000 miles began riding extremely rough any speed.so much bounce and jarring that the car is unsafe to drive on any rough road.took it to the dealer, the magnetic ride control shocks and struts failed and are fully extended.cost to repair over $3,000 for 4 shocks/struts.

Dishonest, untrustworthy, and thief's. They have lost my business, respect, and etc. I went in 27th of feb 2019 and less than 15 hours the suspension failed on the drive back home. This was a 2.5 hours drive so the guy informed me to come back so i cancelled plans the morning of the 28th to bring the vehicle back. On 28th feb 2019, i informed the dealership and they told me it's my responsibility when i done paid you almost $34k cash for this vehicle which is my while savings for the saftey of my wife; four kids. Now its costing me over $2k to fix their problem which supposedly passed inspection. I have the pictures that prove otherwise and the chevy dealership said it is the worst they have seen yet.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. While driving low speeds, the contact heard an abnormal popping noise. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to hertrich chevrolet buick gmc (7677 ocean gateway, easton, md) where it was diagnosed that the upper ball joints were faulty and the upper control arms needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer and the failure was confirmed. The vehicle's alignment was adjusted; however, the failure recurred. The failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 47,948.

The vehicle has been through the shop for repair to vibrations at speeds above 70+ mph. They have not been able to fix the problem. It seems to be a similar problem other owners experience too.

In may 2018, our upper control arm assemblies were loose and making noises when driving over bumps.we took the car to les schwab and they found failure of both front control arms.the upper and lower ball joints were loose as well beyond what would be expected.they required use of our extended warranty to repair the defects.

Left front vibration, shake at all speeds when pulling a trailer.can be reproduced by placing two 60# sand bags in rear cargo area

When driving my new 2016 chevrolet tahoe, i am experiencing a booming noise over bumps in the road and experiencing severe pressure and pain in my ears from some sort of pressure created in the vehicles cabin. The pain is unbearable, i cant drive more than 10 minutes due to the pain in my ears while driving.

2016 chevrolet tahoe. Consumer stated that while driving the vehicle began to sway and was unastable. The consumer stated while towing a trailer, the vehicle began swaying uncontrollably and flipped on it's side. The trailer was totaled.

Leak at antenna

Hello. I have a 2016 chevy tahoe ...that i owned for 3 years in february . My ac went out last october.it started blowing hot air. I took it in to chevy . They confirmed and checked with my warranty..thank god i had extended warranty. And it was covered right now a year later i'm smelling rotten eggs in my car on hot and cold when you 1st get in the vehicle and started going to have then check ......also my stereo started glitchy and turning blackhow to turn off the vehicle take the key out open the door turn it back on for the story of to come back on set also was part of my warranty....also now when i'm driving i feel like a big hug almost like someone hits me or if the transmission but i'm wondering if it's the brake system make an appointment...

The gps has a x through it and does give direction at all.the arrow on the map is usually in the middle of no where,

Hole has formed in the condenser where a faulty weld was made causing all freeon to leak out and the air conditioning system stop working. I am disabled and have rheumatoid arthritis and gm is not recalling this part due to no safety issues. However, for me this is a health and safety issue as i cannot be in a vehicle without air conditioning in my states extreme summer temperatures.

Gps antenna leaked while parked in rain. Saturated head liner, steering wheel, and driver seat. Water puddled in driver floor mat. Gps signal lost until things dried out. Also has impacted collision avoidance system. Has happened several times in last 2 months. Problem is intermittent because vehicle is garaged most times. Doesn't occur while driving during rain, only when vehicle is parked and water can stream in through gap on backside of antenna and enter the defective inner seal. I have seen many accounts of this on forums. Gm needs to conduct a recall on this problem.

The air conditioner has stopped working, the condenser has blown and is being repaired. Gm has an extended warranty, up to 60,000 miles.. Mine has approximately 69,000 miles, so it's not covered under this. This is a known problem and gm should be required to pay for this, as they are aware that this is an issue with several models.

Ac stopped blowing cold air at 44000 miles.

Air conditioning stopped working. The car is 2 years old.

Tahoe has a vibration when it shifts into v4 continues from 40mph through 55 or when you push on the accelerator. Have had it in shop they resealed the bows in the roof , rotated tires , checked the exhaust nothing has fixed.i think the problem is in the motor with unburned gases when it shifts into v4.

Gps navigation system is faulty.not communicating with on star.map position shows tahoe somewhere in the atlantic ocean.

Went to the dealer to fix my ac over a month ago waa told part needed was on international back order

Vehicle parked in lot on 8-18-16.when we came out of store, the tahoe had rolled into another spot.two cars were damaged.incident on tape at the walmart store.police report was filed.tahoe was in drive.two of us had exited the vehicle and collected several shopping carts, so people would not damage their vehicles.third person exited the vehicle.if left in drive, (electric start) no bells or alarms went off.doors weren't locked as person in back seat was able to exit.we were in the store for about 15 minutes.on video, the tahoe was in its spot for quite a while before rolling back.my wife had the vehicle at the time of the incident.there were several witnesses.

Was driving truck at 70mph on highway, went to change lanes, was in cruise control. Lost all power, then all warning lights came on, check engine light on and off. Engine code whentaken in too dealership was p00700 and u0100

There is water intrusion at he drivers side sun visor going down the pillar. A call to the dealer and its a known issue with the shark antenna leaking on the roof. It happened only in heavy rain when braking.

Increased brake effort, brakes freeze up in stop and go traffic and slow speeds. Parking, parking lots etc

I purchased a brand new 2016 chevy tahoe last year. It has approx 47,000 miles on it this far. The air conditioner began blowing hot air. I have place two cans of refrigerate in the system in less than one week. I can not identify any leaks. I spoke with the dealership and they have voiced i would have to pay for diagnostic procedures and repair. I believe that is unfair considering i have not damaged the vehicle. The vehicle is only one year old and is having a/c problems. I have kids and live in a southern state that has 100 degree weather in the summer months. I believe i deserve answer at least!!!!!!

No option to disable (only) the hands free lift gate feature.an open lift gate can be triggered by children helping load/unload the rear of the tahoe causing the heavy liftgate to begin to close (or open). All power features of the lift gate may be turned off, but not just the hand-free feature (kicking foot under bumper).gate has closed 3 times on my wife/children loading/unloading groceries.vehicle parked, off and key fob in pocket of wife (near the rear of the vehicle).this is dangerous for children especially.

The contact owns a 2016 chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that the air conditioner was blowing out hot air. The contact called a local dealer (sunrise chevrolet 105-20 gerard placequeens, ny 11375 877-588-5450) who diagnosed that thecompressor needed to be replaced and confirmed that the vin was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was unknown.

While driving down the highway sunroof exploded.when we pulled over to look we found nothing that hit it in fact the glass was pushed up and not down into the car.weather was about 60 's, overcast, light sprinkle rain.only had tahoe for 4 months prior to this happening.since the the sunroof had to be replaced a 2nd time due to the railing breaking and was unable to open it
