Dealer told me that passenger side air bag is not working

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving approximately 5 mph out of the dealer, the vehicle jolted and the stabilizer indicator illuminated. The steering lost power and caused the vehicle to steer left and right. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a large pole. The technician from the anderson buick gmc dealer (1001 bowens mill rd, sw, douglas, ga 31533) ran to the scene and drove the vehicle to the shop. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was damaged, but was not totaled. There were no injuries. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered to repair the vehicle without a warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v651000 (air bags, seat belts). The failure mileage was approximately 56,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

Vehicle was stationary, driver placed ac on highest setting, but nothing blew out (mylink screen also displays no air). Navigation stops working in middle of route and changes destination to a different country (mexico). Vehicle feels like it wants to die in stop/go traffic and while in stationary position. When making turns at any speed, driver will begin braking, and vehicle accelerates on its own causing many near miss accidents including almost falling off a bridge. Lastly, many 2015 suburbans have been recalled for their airbags, but mine has not. Concerned that ours may be impacted and do not wish to end up injured or a fatality. Nhtsa has documented fatalities of airbag failures from vehicles not recalled that were 2015 tahoe and suburbans. Vibrations are so loud they cause migraines and earaches in all occupants.

Trailer brake assist malfunction during trip while driving with trailerconnected on highway no problem after ending trip and disconnecting trailer brake assist warning light appeared and 1st glance brakes seemed fine but final pedal pressure is very stiff almost can't stop suv

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while coming to a stop in traffic, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. The contact stated that smoke came out of the side air bags, but they failed to deploy. The air bag warning light illuminated. The contact sustained head injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an auto repair center. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000.

Takata recall- on may 27 2016 we were involved in an accident in our 2015 chevrolet suburban. 2 of the 4 passengers passed away. We were ran off the of road and hit twice by a truck pulling a trailer. All airbags except the front passenger and drivers front airbag deployed. This occurred while the vehicle was in motion. We crossed northbound lanes and came to a complete stop about 10 feet off of the roadway. A motorhome towing a jeep locked their brakes going approx 65 mph when they saw us cross the road and lost control causing them to come off of the roadway. They hit us, causing us to spin around and then hit us again. The accident ended with us being slammed into a cement culvert. During this time the front airbags still did not deploy and also the steering wheel broke off. The front passenger passed away as well as his sister sitting behind him. Can someone look into this and see why the front airbags did not deploy and also why the steering broke? thank you. A driver ran the red traffic light and hit my vehicle as i was making a left turn in the intersection. The impact was so intense that he managed to shift the entire front frame of my vehicle. My air bags did not deploy.

After recently purchasing a used 2015 gm vehicle from a non-gm dealership, i made a service appointment with a local authorized gm service shop to have three outstanding safety recall issues addressed. My appointment was for 7:30 am on 8/25/2020 and i brought my vehicle to the shop in the morning of 8/25. After 4:30 pm i returned to retrieve my vehicle, and the service shop had not even brought it in to lol at the issues. No work had been performed, despite the service department having my vehicle in their possession not only during the timeframe specifically scheduled for them to perform this service, but the entire remainder of the work day. The safety recall issues remain unresolved.

On several occasion the touch screen display has failed to turn on. This screen is used for the display of the backup camera, the audio, hvac, and other controls. This has typically happened when the vehicle was first started, though it has happened while the vehicle was in motion. At wich point the display remains blank and my not work untill after shutting down the vehicle and restarting it again. This is an intermittent problem.

At slow speeds when turning i get loss of steering, service stabilatrak and service park assist as well as truck dies and i lose the radio.

I received a recall notification from chevy (recall number 18289) and my vehicle had occasionally experienced some of the listed problems in the recall so i immediately took my car in to be serviced. After the the recall service my car seemed to be fixed, but that only lasted a few days. The problem is back and even worse than before. When turning the steering wheel at low speeds the my car experiences temporary loss of power, the entire electrical system shorts out briefly (radio, display screen, power locks all turn off/on) and the wheel becomes difficult to turn. Since having the recall problem "fixed", in addition to the above still happening, the wheel just loses power steering (very difficult to turn) or locks up without electrical loss and on two separate occasions all of the above has happened and my care stalls mid turn and i have to put my car in park to restart it. I have taken it to the dealer and they want to charge me to diagnose and fix any problems. I have also placed a call to chevrolet and am waiting on a response. I am concerned and hesitant to drive my vehicle with this safety issue still occurring.

Water leak inside cabin. Water build up in driver side floor board, either coming from on star/shark fin antenna, can trace water leak up under the dashboard to where all the electrical wirings are. Lost on star and gps service due to this. Random dash light and interior light flickering. Two incidents so far where vehicle shuts off while driving. One on nearby street and other on the highway. Lost steering and braking ability. No electricity so could not turn on hazard lights to alert other drivers around me.

Steering wheel randomly locks up when making a turn from stop or low speed and numerous error lights flash with stabilitrak turning on and off randomly.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while driving at 5 mph, the engine stalled. The anti-theft deterrent warning indicator illuminated. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken the dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

Roof mounted "shark fin " antenna leaks and resulted in short circuit of the electrical controls disabling the suburban. Second time in 2.5yrs the antenna had to be replaced.

While driving all of the power cuts off including power steering. Alternator, oil, fuel, struts, battery x 2 have been changed out in attempt to correct issue. Issue is still present. Local chevy dealership unable to rectify problem. There have been numerous incidents with potential accidents. There seems to be a power draw on the system, unable to find any kinked or frayed wires. While driving all lighting including gauges dims usually prior to complete vehicle electrical failure. I have a video of electrical dimming, but unable to load on here. Vehicle is labeled as 2015 but manufacture date is 2014, ive noticed there is a recall on 2014 models for electrical chassis failure however my vin is not encompassed in this recall.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the air conditioner failed to work. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the condenser failed due to a leak and needed to be replaced. The dealer stated that due to this being a known issue with these vehicles, the part was currently on national backorder. Prior to the failure, the condenser had been replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

My vehicle loses all electrical power randomly while driving after taking it to the dealer for the powersteering recall it is very dangerous especially when it loses all power on the highway keeps happening at random

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that there was an electrical failure, which prevented the navigation system and the antenna from functioning properly. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer who indicated that the vehicle was excluded from a manufacturer recall campaign. The dealer indicated that the vehicle would need to be inspected and diagnosed to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and also indicated that the vehicle was excluded from a recall. The manufacturer suggested that a dealer diagnose and repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

I purchased a brand new 2015 chevrolet suburban lt on december 20, 2014 and by december 23, 2014, there was a major water leak about the driver visor and headliner and equipment failures.i noticed that the gps, compass, onstar and mylink were no longer working.as of december 31, 2014, i still do not have my suburban back and i have been told that part is not available in the us.

When traveling at slow speeds, i.e., parking lot or restaurant drive-thru line, and making sharp turns, car stabilitrak warning will flash then loss of power steering and complete loss of power will result. Additionally, the media electronics will shut off and restart periodically. This doesn't necessarily happen at the same time, although, this never happens when i am not having problems with the stabilitrak system. (see previous complaint: 11122704)took car for service at capitol chevy on 8/30/19. They said no codes were indicated, however, throttle body was dirty and could have an effect on my issue. Throttle body was serviced/cleaned.on sept. 2, 2019 i had issue with media system and stabilitrak. While traveling southbound on i-85, cruise control set approx. 75 mph, i braked to disengage cruise speed when media system reset. I pulled into my driveway approx. 20 minutes later and while traveling at slow speed and turning in my driveway, the stabilitrak warning came on resulting in loss of power steering. I was nearly at a stop when it happened.sometimes when the car loses power in these situations it will have to be jumped off to restart. Which happened prior to being serviced on 8/28/19.i read about similar stories on chevy message boards related to 2015 models,

Lane assist stops working and shows an error message

1) intermittently when turning vehicle at slow speeds, there is sudden loss of steering and electric power steering violently bouncing the wheel back to neutral position when attempting to steer left or right. There is also sudden loss of electricity, engine turns off, requiring to shift to park and restart engine. This issue usually occurs after rain or after car wash (water entering shark fin antenna)2) intermittent complete power loss throughout the vehicle (occurs especially after rain - when shark fin antenna gets filled with water) and feels like battery is suddenly completely dead. Sometimes it can not be jump started immediately, and after more than an hour, it may be jump started. 3) water leaking into the front left corner of roof (driver side) after rain - again due to shark fin anternna leak. There are many owners of chevy suburban/tahoe, silverado, gm truck reporting exactly same problems all over internet and on youtube. This problem still exists after the recent 09/07/2018 recall 18v586000 fix. This recall did not help solve this problem. In many youtube videos people report having fixed this issue by replacing battery positive and ground cables, as well as by removing the sound dampening material trapped under g218 ground on the driver side of dash (people have mentioned about increased resistance across g218 ground).example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwamophnxg8

Onstar gps failed to locate my vehicle when reporting an accident i was involved in 5/4/2018. The gps antenna is the failing component. This has been identified in gm service bulletin 15155. Under this bulletin owners where supposed to be notified of the issue, i was not. Gm will not honor the repair because the bulletin expired. If this accident was major and i had not been able to relay my location emergency services would not have been able to render care. The failure of this safety product and monitoring service should be corrected by gm.

Purchased vehicle in march 2020, have had 4 instancesof making a left hand turn and vehicle shuts off. Have read that steering assist recall was done, but from what i've read this is exactly what it is doing, low speedand making a turn. Any suggestions or have others experienced same? date is last time but has happened about 4x s now since last summer.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While attempting to brake the vehicle, the brakes made an abnormal loud noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the brakes and rotors had been replaced a total of three times since the purchase of the vehicle. Also, while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated and slowed down. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed that the vehicle had not failed and that was how it was calibrated. The contact also stated that the liftgate failed to open automatically and had to be manually operated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 43,000.

When turning into parking lot today at low speed, electrical system went crazy, screen flashed power steering failure, stabilitrac failure, doors locked and unlocked and engine died. Restarted and was fine driving forward and repeated failures again when turning to park in parking space. It is fortunate this was in a parking lot and not on interstate or other main road or while turning at a traffic light.

A/c has been out for over 2 years.bought this piece of crap in 2016 and a/c has only worked for 1 year.can not afford repairs due to having 2 kids in college and still trying to live in ca.i have a 2009 dodge durango that works perfectly!!!!! a/c had never given me any problems.called chevrolet several times to have this fixed and no help at all from the dealer!!! will never buy a chevrolet again in my life!!!!!

Electric power steering rips steering wheel out of hands, loss of control.followed by stabilitrak warning, and display instructions to roll driver and passenger windows up and down.youtube videos of another owner experiencing same problem. I received a phone call thru the integrated bluetooth system in the vehicle. After i discontinued the call via steering wheel controls the drivers information center remained in call mode and would not change even after my passenger verified on my phone thecall was ended. After about three minutes the drivers information center returned to speedometer mode. About 10 minutes later i was backing into the parking space next to a office building and the backup camera and radar, drivers information center radar display, and the seat vibration safety features all failed. While i was watching the outside mirror looking at the parking block and to make sure i was between the lines of the parking spot all of the safety equipment listed failed and i hit the building with my car causing minimal damage (most damage was done to the factory color matched hitch cover) to the vehicle but caused damage to the office building ( hitch cover impression in the wood siding about half inch deep). The center dash screen for the backup camera remained in navigation mode and the drivers display remained in speedometer mode while in reverse. I immediately took the vehicle to the dealership after the occurrence they could not duplicate the problem and told me that it was my fault that i backed into the building and not to rely on the safety equipment that i paid good money for.

At slow speeds when turning i get loss of steering, service stabilatrak and service park assist as well as truck dies and i lose the radio.

Vehicle sensors and warning lights illuminated while the car was in motion on the highway. Pulled car off at nearest exit and turned ignition off. Could not re-start vehicle for 10 min. Finally car started, drove it to dealer, they said it was a loose ground cable & tightened connection. 3 months later vehicle caught fire while in motion going 25mph on street. Burned cables coming off battery terminal. Gm ceased investigation due to the battery in vehicle was not the original factory battery.

On several occasion the touch screen display has failed to turn on. This screen is used for the display of the backup camera, the audio, hvac, and other controls. This has typically happened when the vehicle was first started, though it has happened while the vehicle was in motion. A/c no cold air. I went to dealership and they tested and said there's huge hole. Apparently they only said small leak. They replaced with new condenser. I was forced to pay nearly 1,400.also resurface front disc brake. This is brand new vehicle and over 20 vehicles i know have same issues. There should be recall on this vehicle. I went to dealer and they said deal with gm. I went to gm they won't resolve my issues.

Vehicle was serviced at the local chevrolet dealership subject to nhtsa recall no: 18v-586 on friday, september 14, 2018. The next day, 9/15/18, vehicle experienced same problems that were happening prior to being serviced. Specifically, on saturday(9/15) at approx. 4:30 p.m. Cst, while making a rolling right hand turn on green the vehicle lost power steering and lost all power. No one was directly behind me as i stopped in the middle of the city street. I put on the flashers and, after unsuccessfully trying to restart the vehicle in neutral, was able to restart the car while in park. I noticed the battery voltage meter was lower than normal for the remainder of my trip, however, it had returned to normal the next morning. This has been an ongoing problem which started on aug. 9, 2018. First trip to the chevy dealership resulted in replacing the f-module. Problems persisted and the next recommendation was to replace the negative battery cable, which was done on 9/10/18. Now, after servicing due to recall, i continue to have the same problem.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet surburban. While the vehicle was stationary, the air conditioning system failed. The vehicle was diagnosed as having a faulty condensor. The dealer was contacted at suburban chevrolet in eden prarie, minnesota, but the part was unavailable for the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the call was forwarded to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 56,000.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving at low speeds, the power steering would suddenly malfunction when attempting to turn in either direction. When the failure occurred, the steering wheel would became very difficult to turn, an audio chime activated, and the door locks would repeatedly go up and down. The failures were not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer (ourisman chevrolet in alexandria, va) and the manufacturer were notified, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer informed the contact that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v719000 (steering). The failure mileage was 89,000.

I continue to have reoccurring problems with my 2015 chevy suburban. The problems consist of electronics resetting/flashing or turning off and staying off, specifically, media system, window control. Many times this occurs at a similar time to the stabilitrack warning system coming on and losing power steering and complete loss of power to the vehicle. Sometimes after the loss of power the vehicle will not crank without being jumped off. The vehicle was brought in for service at captiol chevrolet in montgomery for these issues on 8/27/19-8/30/19. No diagnostic codes were found, however, it was recommended we service the dirty throttle body as this could be part of the problem. We had this service performed. Since then, we've experienced problems on 9/2/19 @ 4pm-ish- all electronics flashed off/on while traveling down interstate, followed by stabilitrack warning and loss of power steering while coming to stop at bottom of interstate off ramp approx. 15 min. Later. 9/12/19 @ 3:45 pm- stabilitrack came on 3x in a row with loss of engin power, all electronics went off, including no window control or screen, came back on when cranked but delay in screen coming on. 9/19/19 @ 3:08 pm-media screen flashed and reset clock to 12:00. 9/19/19 @ 7pm- car died while parking in sam's wholesale parking lot and had to be jumped off. Car will not turn over at all until jumper cables are connected and then it typically cranks right up. New interstate battery was purchased 4/6/18. When we had problems with vehicle last fall this battery was replaced with a new interstate battery on 11/3/18. We haven't had problems with car from that point until august 2019. It did seem to help but i can't afford to replace the car battery every 9 or 10 months. Chevy doesn't seem to know what the problem is or how to fix it.

Blind spot detection modules are bad, vehicle will not detect object in blind spots

Onstar radio antenna leaks water causing not to function

For the 3rd time my wife while driving her car had these issues! service power steering where it makes it hard to turn. Brake and abs lights come on making the brake pedal go to the floor barely stoping the suburban, service stabilitrac and service trailer brake! this is the second time it's at the dealer the first time it went away so quickly we thought it was a fluke but it definitely scared my wife to death! by the time we get it to the dealer it clears it's self and they can't find anything wrong! we videoed the incidents and need help to see why those issues aren't recalled on our suburban like they have recalled on other 2015 suburbans?

While driving at speed with cruise control on all lights flicker and when activating a turn signal power flashes shutting down cruise control and all accessories (dvd player, radio, etc..).also loss of power steering. Randomly while driving also get service stablitrak and park assist warnings

Vehicle safety features / starting sets uncontrollably shaking, and warning crash started alerting randomly.had extended warranty but noticed others had the same issue.feel like a deductible should not have been applied to have this repaired as it is a safety feature on the vehicle.

I purchased this car with 67000 miles 2015 from tower auto mall , never realized that engine hours in my car , car had 6700 hrs with the purchased , you never knew , but when i purchased my new car i already have 40000 and only 1000 hrs engine that is when i noticed , plus my car had tons of problem and sounds ver old when reach 200000

The 2015 chevrolet suburban that i drive power goes out when i am turning into a parking space, making a sharp turn, and try to come to a quick stop. This happens every time i am driving. It also delays to turn off when i am parked. It sounds like it's trying to crank up on a low gas level. Sometimes when i am at a light and try to press on the gas, it stalls like it's trying to get gas.

The vehicle completely stalls and loses all power. It usually happens when you run the vehicle on the highway and have to come to a stop after exiting. In my case i drove the vehicle for an hour and half and exited the express way. Once, i exited and slowed down to come to a complete stop the engine starts to run rough and just before you completely stop it stalls out. This has happened at least sevne times on a 1400 mile trip. It even happens when you come to a stop behind other cars.you can put it in park or neutral and the vehicle will restart.

Second time: (8/25/18) in drive-through line at restaurant and steering wheel jerked, power steering warning flashed on dash before car lost all power. I put car in park, restarted car and it happened again. Incident happened at extremely slow speed while making a hard left turn. Restarted car second time no additional problems. First time: (8/8/18) several weeks ago a similar incident happened while my wife was making sharp turn at low speed into a parking space at grocery store. Took car to local chevy dealership and they replaced a electronic part, module.

Since purchasing this vehicle in july of 2014 it has been back at the dealer several times for the tighten gas cap light & the check engine light. Even if gas hasn't been put into the car for several days the light just comes on and soon after the check engine light comes.

Loss of gps, onstar, xm and compass function. Water has leaked into the roof mounted shark-fin antenna. Vehicle has lost compass, gps, onstar and xm capabilities. Dealer recommends replacing roof mounted antenna. Despite this being a known problem acknowledged by chevrolet in sb-10058785-9942 this vin was not included and customer will be charged out of pocket for antenna replacement.

Driving today in snow, increased electrical demand on vehicle while accelerating. Smelled burning wires and all dash lights flickered then died. Engine turned off and had to be restarted with the push button. Happened within 30 minutes later while accelerating onto a main road with traffic, lost control of vehicle and had to force the steering wheel to turn the vehicle off the road to avoid being hit by oncoming traffic.

Restarted and was fine driving forward and repeated failures again when turning to park in parking space. It is fortunate this was in a parking lot and not on interstate or other main road or while turning at a traffic light.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to bomnin chevrolet dadeland located at 8455 s dixie hwy, miami, fl 33143, (305) 669-2709, where the technician associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 19v761000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) however, the vin was not included. The vehicle has been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was not available. *ln

My vehicle has exhibited a knocking noise on the left driver side tire, problems with vibration at high speeds, engine light coming on if driving highway speeds, brake issues, brakes become stiff and will not stop vehicle whatsoever! at both this happened twice while my car was in motion nearly killing me and my kids!!! air conditioning issues as well. Blows hot air until you play with bottoms.

Oil pressure, temp, tac, speedometer, gauges fluctuating , while many failures flash on the driver info center screen, audio warnings also.engine revs and power steering fails. This has happened in all driving conditions, stopped, city ,country , highway roads. This has happened about four times, and we have it at a dealer now for the third time. The first dealer could not duplicate the problem. Second dealer said the problem was a steering lock control module and replaced it, the third dealer is still working on it.the loss of power steering ,making the car very hard to steer is what has prompted me to make this report. This happened for the first time ,august 13, 2019 and the last time ,january 29, 2020

Car only has 60,000 miles brake booster is going out and chevy knows there is a problem but have not recalled. Also front shocks are going out due to magnetic ride system lots of people have the same problem chevy once again has not recalled!

Vehicle loses braking capability at low speeds, sometimes voltage issues cause stability control error, and even complete loss of engine power and vehicle control (engine shutoff).this has been recurring approximately once per day for two weeks, generally at very low speeds and turning into a parking spot. Typically, abs engage and power brake assist is lost, which requires more more effort to stop the vehicle.can also happen in reverse.

Lane assist stops working and shows an error message

While driving straight on the highway in cool, dry conditions, the check engine light began flashing.the engine began stuttering/bucking and lost power. Dealer advised that it was lifter failure requiring $5k repair not under warranty. Despite the repair, the issue has returned twice requiring additional repairs.

I was on slope hill. My brakes are not responding. I put in new brakes 2 months ago and brakes not responding? my car almost went down the hill. I called roadside assistance and had them towed my car to dealership. They found the issue vacuum pump broke. Also my transmission having issue since 2 months. They still haven't found issues. I can't control my speed and engine gives a kick when entering highway. They won't repair this issue because their "mechanics" cannot find the issue. This is this worst vehicle to drive andunsafe for drivers and passengers.

Oil consumption is to much

When driving the 2015 suburban we experience an awful ear pressure and vibration. The car is not drivable and is causing headaches and vertigo. The problem is known by service techs and gm.they believe there is a problem when the car transitions from v8 to v4. There are multiple forums online regarding the issue. Gm has not issued a fix as of yet.from what i have read, the problem is found in 2015 suburbans, escalades, and yukon xls.we purchased the vehicle with 1750 miles on it. After putting 500 miles on it, we cannot wait to get rid of it, and have attempted to initiate a buyback procedure with gm.

A knowen issue with the suburban- dead lifters, often the dealerships don't want to repair the engine, they tell customers to get a new or rebuild engine. The issue is a hidden secret which i hope with this complaint gm will come clean and recall million of cars on the road with this defect.

At low speed (backing into a parking spot on the street) the brake pedal got very hard and the vehicle would barely stop.i then did not go into that space to avoid hitting the car behind me.i pulled into a parking lot across the street.when backing in, i could not stop (moving with car at idle engine speed).the hitch hit the concrete wall-happily no damage done.with research, i find this is a common problem that gm has not addressed.i usually occurs at slow speeds or stop and go slow speed traffic.this is unpredictable and very unsafe.the vehicle is a 2015 with only 35,000 miles.the vacuum pump (the failure) is bolted to the engine and engine-driven and lubricated by engine oil which puts my engine at risk.yet none of this is covered by the power train warranty.this is not a slow, but a sudden failure item.very unsafe if it happens in school parking lot picking up my children, church, close spaces (neighborhoods, parking areas).

A/c compressor froze and thus broke the belt. I was driving when the a/c went out.it was about 95 degrees out that day.both had to be replaced.

Dear sir or madam my vehicle a/c problem no cool air , only warm air ,and i paid to dealerships 166.52 just for checking what problem !they find out condenser leaking, the dealer price is 1159.63 to repair it , i am limo driver this vehicle for business use!my campany have hundreds driver have same vehicle , and they have same problems, allvehicles from gm factory includes gmcchevrolet cadillac same problems , i am able to collect all the signatures to prove it . This is problem of manufacturer production processing! but i paid $664.13 repair it ! who pay my lost ?please help me.

There was a not any big event that caused it.air conditioning was blowing cold air on monday june 26, 2017; on tuesday june 27, 2017 it was warm air even after driving around for 5 minutes.immediately took it to the dealer we purchased it from: priority chevrolet.the condenser had stopped working.couldn't hold freon because there was a hole in it....?!?!?! not sure of the cause.my car is barely 2 years old!i have four young children in the middle of summer.initially we were told 1-2 month wait!?apparently this isn't the first condenser they have had to replace.tells me something isn't isn't right with chevrolet.

The vehicle had approximately 3500 miles when returned to dealership.the primary issue was "running rough."the vehicle was in the repair shop over five weeks.in three incidents picked up the vehicle when it was supposedly fine.within minutes the cecile stalled and starting to shutter.warning indicators include engine and transmission system, emission system, stabilitrack stability control system, and antilock braking system.vehicle unsafe to drive.the 2015 suburban was newly designed.repair bulletins were issued.vehicle recently picked up and still "runs rough."the vehicle handles differently as it shifts from v4 to v8 (fuel economy design) when slowing.this makes the vehicle handling inconsistent depending what mode it is operating and can be unsafe.other potential safety issues when raining, the rear camera (backup) is not functional.also, when starting in reverse, there is an extended period the "computer is loading" and their is no input although your backing up.in essence, the rear backup warning system is not functional.

We have multiple problems with our new suburban. After traveling slowly or coasting in traffic, when i try to accelerate the vehicle won't go and when it finally decides to go it shudders and vibrates badly, it also does this from a complete stop, been to the dealer 2 times so far this and the last time they told me "it is a normal characteristic of vehicle". It is a very bad one and it will cause a wreck! the radio display flickers all the time even when back up camara is on, gm has no fix for this yet either!the vehicle sticker says it has heated/ac seats, it doesn't have a/c seats, they are airrated from the air in vehicle, that was a total misrepresentation of the product on the sales sticker.gm rep had us test drive another suburban and we drove 3 different ones and not one of the others did the things our does. When we informed gm of this they said sorry we don't qualify for a buyback/replacement.gm doesn't care to help and its their very expensive product. I hope no one dies or is injured from the hesitations that gm know these vehicles have that is 0.7 seconds before the vehicle will engage or reengage when excelerating from a slow roll or a complete stop.

Purchased suburban from alm in union city on 10/05/17 on 11/04/17 the brakes started to make noise when coming to a stop. On 11/06 the brakes were making aloud scrubbing sound when stopping had to get brakes done and when the mechanic saw the rotors they were rusted and also needed to be changed but he couldn't due to the condition they were in made it impossible returned to alm on 11/7 for them to do the i owe work and i was told they would check the rotors it never happened and was there from 10am til 7 pm. I spoke with the service manger and he was going to call back to set up another appointment. On 11/9 the engine oil light came on saying engine oil low add oil 48% remaining. Put a quart in and made appointment at superior chev to have oil changed. At that time the technician said there were quite a few recalls so just make another appointment and have oil change and recalls done however he proceed to check the oil and even with the quart added the dipstick came back dry. Shocked not wanting to believe that alm had not only fail to fix the brakes they didn't even change the oil, brakes are a safety issue cars go through a pid and things of this nature are corrected before putting into inventory. My family and i could have been seriously hurt due to the negligence of alm. I had not even reach the first payment and all this happening. And the service manager never called back . I hope that atlanta luxury motors will be investigated about what they do prior to putting cars in their inventory and people come in trusting that they are safe when financing a automobile and have to pay 5yrs on and it starts off with safety issues. There is no way they could have done pid or they did and just ignored what they saw. I realize the suburban was used but safety should be a concern of the seller as well as the buyer.

Ac condenser broke, told by gmspecial coverage take to dealership, dealership said no coverage. Had 3rd party fix at reasonable cost, called gm and told yes we will pay for parts take receipt to dealership, dealership said no! will not pay, will not file, will not help! gm now says will not pay after multiple phones stating they would!

Roof mounted "shark fin " antenna leaks and resulted in short circuit of the electrical controls disabling the suburban. Second time in 2.5yrs the antenna had to be replaced.

The transmission failed shortly after purchasing used in jan of 2021.we were driving on our family vacation from ohio to south carolina and the transmission failed in north carolina

The dealer informed the contact that the steering gears needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact received a notice for an unknown recall regarding the brakes. The brakes were repaired, but the contact was informed that the engine vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 84,800.

Transmission stopping on highway

Vehicle is creating a buffeting, pressure sound and sensation at low to mid range speeds. Creating headache, dizziness and strain.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the air conditioner condenser needed to be replaced due to a leak. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

State rejects vehicle citing moisture inside a sealed headlamp assembly is a safety hazard. Thousands of complaints posted online.gm/chevrolet admits the sealed assemblies are defective however they do not offer any assistance whatsoever regarding replacement of the defective equipment and further stating they cannot be repaired.dealer has quoted a price of up to $1,400 to replace the headlamp assembly on my vehicle.this issue first appeared with less than 40,000 miles on the vehicle. The moisture accumulation can increase or decrease with rain or other atmospheric conditions.the electrical contacts within the housing of the sealed lenses rust causing the lamps and turn signals to intermittently go on and off and fail altogether.once failed, attempts to replace the bulbs have been unsuccessful due to the oxidation and/or rust accumulation on the lens housing contact points.

Headlamps too dull. Hard to see the road at night. No side vision at night.has been like this since new. I have complained to 2 different dealers and they say there is no problem. I have put in a complaint the the manufacturer and have heard nothing back.

Especially at night, the "welcome lights/reverse lights" of a chevrolet suburban confuse me because i think that person's vehicle is backing up. This causes me to either hesitate or at worst, panic if i think they are about to back into me. The photo attached is of a different gm vehicle, the gmc terrain, but the appearance is the same.

While driving at speed with cruise control on all lights flicker and when activating a turn signal power flashes shutting down cruise control and all accessories (dvd player, radio, etc..).also loss of power steering. Randomly while driving also get service stablitrak and park assist warnings

Trailer brake assist malfunction during trip while driving with trailerconnected on highway no problem after ending trip and disconnecting trailer brake assist warning light appeared and 1st glance brakes seemed fine but final pedal pressure is very stiff almost can't stop suv

The headlamps do not provide sufficient light output to safely operate the vehicle at night. It is very easy to over drive the vehicle headlamps and the bright lights do not provide enough increase in light output to address the issue. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle at night in any reduced light condition.

Purchased a 2015 suburban new from jim ellis chevrolet.at about year 3 of ownership, just after warranty expiration, i noticed moisture in drivers side headlight assembly.about a year later the blinker stopped working.the only way to repair it is to install an entire new assembly.the part is $1,200 alone.the is not a warranty issue, but a defect that chevy will not address or admit.it is also a major safety issue. Additionally, the paint on the hood and roof started failing at about year 4.again, another defect. Chevrolet will not address either of them.one is a safety issue, the other cosmetic.very frustrated.

2015 chevy suburban. Starting my car the morning of 19 aug 20 i found it odd that it struggled to start. Arrived at work and noticed a strong fuel smell, didn't think much of it, maybe the car next to me. I leave work, and it struggled again. Thought i should look a little when i got home. When i arrived it smelled strongly of fuel again. Upon the inspection of my vehicle, i found the fuel leak. The fuel tank is completely soaked in gasoline. I take it to my trusted mechanic to have a better look and he informed i have to replace the hose in the fuel line above the gas tank between were the two doors meet. Part no. 23248011.it was stationary when i suspected something but evidence suggest the line was rubbed against other components in the undercarriage and damaged the fuel system while in motion. Probably from the other complaint i'm about to put in about the dreaded highway vibration between 75-80 mph. And that's not speeding, there are highways in texas up to 85mph and tollways at 75mph. A little inconvenience of vibration isn't much of a concern. At first. Fuel however is a major safety concern. This needs to be addressed.

Head gasket improperly installed blew engine and damaged radiator.

While i was driving approx 45 -60 mph i smelled gas, i dismissed it thinking that i was smelling the old truck in front of me. I parked my suburban at my destination and still smelled it but i dismissed it because i was late to my appointment. When i came back out to my vehicle approx 2 hours later i still smelled the gas pretty strong. I looked underneath and didn't see any drips, i was parked on grass so i couldn't see any puddles if there was any. I got in and drove approx 100 yards to pick up my son in the parking lot and still smelled it, i shut the vehicle off and looked under, there was a drip about every second coming from the bottom of the fuel tank and it looked like it was coming from the top of the tank where i couldn't see. I took it to eagle buick gmc in crystal river and they said it was the 2 fuel lines on the top of the fuel tank. It was approx $680.00 to fix. While i was waiting for the vehicle i did some research and found that this is pretty common and is due to a design flaw. The gas lines rub against the chassis and get a hole in them.i do believe this is a safety issue and should be a recall.

We experienced a massive fuel leak from the top of the fuel tank.the car was still able to run, but there was fuel draining all over the place around the bottom of the car.my wife drove the car with our four kids in it for about 50 miles before we knew what was going on.

Gas line or tank is leaking and there is a recall for this on chevy suburbans, but a recall for this is not listed with my vin.this is a safety hazard and i should not be required to come out of pocket for this when it is a known issue for vehicles in this class.i started the engine yesterday morning and noticed a gas smell.when i backed out of the stationary spot i noticed gas on the driveway.

Check engine light comes on due to intermittent high-pressure fuel pump leak. While gm has recalled some vehicles for this problem under recall sb-10057680-1621, bulletin, 14858.gm is not covering the repair, even though the issues match the recall for similar model year vehicles. The light came on while the vehicle was driving.

Have a 2015 suburban and fuel is leaking from top of tank and trying to see if there is a recall on the clamps because i readsomething about vent line clamp recall

We noticed a strong fuel smell from our vehicle.when we moved it we noticed a puddle below the drivers door and rear door.upon inspection it appeared to be a consistent drip of fuel.our dealer reports that there is a break in the pressurized fuel line which is located above the gas tank.from our review of internet complaints from other owners, this appears to be a product defect in the 2015 suburban.

28 june took truck in for routine oil change and have cabin filter replaced @ 84k. Less than 24hrs later started driving on hwy and smelling strong odor of gas coming in through my vents thought maybe its exhaust from another vehicle. After parking the truck for a few days i got back in my truck late 3 july and smelled a strong odor of gasoline in the truck and along the outside. 4 july my husband looked under vehicle and took a picture. The smell of gas was not occurring prior to vehicle being serviced and as i keep reading online several other complaints have been filed for this exact thing. This is an extreme danger especially since i have 4 children and this is our daily vehicle. This vehicle could easily catch on fire or cause death due to inhalation. There should be a recall or safety advisory issued for both the 2015 suburban and 2015 tahoe as this is a known issue . Chevrolet corporat has been notified case number [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact noticed a fuel odor around the vehicle. The dealer diagnosed that the plastic tube connected to the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The dealer did not have the part available. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 31,000.

Noticed strong smell of gasoline around outside of vehicle.looked underneath and found gasoline leaking from top side of fuel tank.noticed this condition after driving vehicle and pulling it into my garage.went to start vehicleto pull it out of garage and it hesitated to start.

I felt a shutter time to time at start up, and would feel like the wheel would grip on hard turns backing up, was like this for a couple of days. Filled tank & drove out of town, at destination noticed leakage under car, under drive seat. Thought it might be condensation. Vehicle sat for 2 hrs., no leakage visible at start up, after starting vehicle notice leakage began again and this time at a larger volume, could smell the fuel. Called dealership they picked it up on tow truck, when back end was lifted, a significant amount poured out from under car. Was told that the fuel hose/fuel pump has the cause due to rubbing. First 3 weeks was told part was on backorder, then that it was going to become a recall and that the part needed to be redesigned and that there was no immediate time frame for vehicle return. I have been driving a dealership loaner for 2 months now. Dealership asked if they can "craft" a patch to get my vehicle out of the shop. I denied this, considering i don't know what the legalities will be. Very disappointed in chevy, this is my 3rd suburban/tahoe and i'm considering filing lemon law.

Since purchasing this vehicle in july of 2014 it has been back at the dealer several times for the tighten gas cap light & the check engine light. Even if gas hasn't been put into the car for several days the light just comes on and soon after the check engine light comes.

We had just completed a 1,000 mile trip for a family emergency. When we arrived at our destination, we found that somewhere during the last 500 miles of the trip, we had developed a fuel leak. After removing the fuel tank, my husband discovered a break in the fuel feed hose, as well as several worn spots in the line and on the top of the fuel tank. We were traveling in 100 degree weather, and i am just thankful at this point that the suburban did not catch on fire!

Vehicle had trouble starting finally started drove to store a smelled gas inside and out of vehicle looked under vehicle to see gas leaking from fuel tank

\the accelerator pedal and brake pedal are separated by 1-1/4 inches. At rest, the brake pedal is about 1/2 inch higher than the accelerator pedal. When depressed, the brake pedal is 1 inch lower. It is very easy to move your right foot from the accelerator to depress the brakes and not be far enough over to avoid also depressing the accelerator at the same time. There is 4 inches of space between the accelerator pedal and side of the car body on the right side. This is plenty of room to relocate the accelerator pedal to the right, perhaps so that there is the width of a man's shoe sole betweenthe two pedals.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving at various speeds, the steering wheel and the entire vehicle began to vibrate and the contact noticed an abnormal noise in the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the tires needed to be replaced and balanced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the tires needed to be replaced and balanced and the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 5.

Excessive vibration when traveling at highway speeds between 60-70 mph.vehicle has been to dealership 3 time for this problem and they state everything is normal.rebalanced tires and checked the suspension but it cannot be fixed.manufactuirng defect.

Transmission was shifting 'roughly' both in accelerating and decelerating conditions. So rough that movement within the vehicle was experienced by driver and passengers. When the vehicle was undergoing braking and decelerating conditions the vehicle would also make noise as shifts occurred in the transmission (loud banging or knocking sounds were heard). The vehicle was maintained according to manufacturers recommendation. Eventually the transmission experienced more unsafe conditions when gears would not engage during acceleration. The vehicle would roll backwards on inclined surfaces for several inches to several feet before transmission engagement. If traffic was behind on any incline the driver would have to use brake to prevent rolling backward and making impact with vehicle behind.

Car exhibits shaking/vibrations at speeds about 65mph, which at times is accompanied by a buffeting sound.

Upon starting vehicle with no previous problems a check engine light and traction contral warning light were displayed on the dash board.attempted to drive the vehicle, driver could feel the vehicle shake while idling in park, and while stopped but in drive, when driving the vehicle shake continued at both city and hwy speeds.

My 2015 suburban is leaking in the cooler line transmission i have to much oil in the front the subject vehicles may have a transmission oil cooler line that is not securely seated in the fitting please,my concern is the oil can touch a hot surface and cause fire i drive my car every day whit my kids please help me thanks

This vehicle has a push button start/stop. You can stop the vehicle while it is in gear, and if you get out the vehicle can just roll away. This has nearly caused 2 serious accidents, once it rolled backwards, narrowly missing a pedestrian, another time forwards into a car in front.gm need to rectify this asap.

The contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 14v374000 (power train). The contact took the vehicle to potamkin chevrolet (706 11th ave, new york, ny 10019) to have the recall repair performed. After the repair, the failures recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.

Vehicle is creating a buffeting, pressure sound and sensation at low to mid range speeds. Creating headache, dizziness and strain.

Transmission failure during driving including humming noise and vibration, inconsistent shifting, difficulty shifting gears and hard/sudden shifting while driving.

My 2015 suburban has 103000 miles on it and the transmission failed. It is going to cost $5300 to repair. It is just over the powertrain warranty so this will be out of our pocket. Suburbans have known transmission issues. We believe a $60,000 vehicle should last longer than 6 years and 100,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving 55 mph, the transmission began to slip. The engine revved and the vehicle moved forward as if it were in neutral and made a heavy, abnormal rumbling sound. The contact also smelled smoke and the vehicle was leaking transmission fluid. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the road shoulder. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to neilson chevrolet (1 us-46, dover, nj 07801, (973) 366-1243) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, only parts were replaced and not the entire transmission. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,619.

Hello, while driving my chevy suburban last week as i was pumping gas with my two year old son in the back seat. I saw smoke leaking and rolling out from the bottom of my vehicle. I had shift the vehicle off and inspected thoroughly. I couldnā€™t see and understand where this was coming from. It wasnā€™t the engine block and no check engine lights had come on. So i let the vehicle cool and started her up. No issue until i was a mile or two from my family summer rental and all of a sudden the vehicle felt as though it slipped out of gear. I was left without any power and realized i was smoking again. I pulled or what i would call drifted to the break down lane and pulled my little man out of the vehicle. This happened on saturday and after almost a week in the shop, the dealership sprung me a nice $5200 price for a transmission. I am now looking and seeing two different recalls for this vehicle. Ironically the these two issues look exactly like the two recalls they have for the power train. [xxx] illuminated fx inc [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My condenser went out at 96k.i contacted gm and they stated that they had a recall on the condenser.took the vehicle in to a gm/chevrolet dealership and they began to inform me that the recall only is for vehicles less than 60k.they stated that gm knows there is a problem but due to mileage my vehicle is not covered. Due to living in the south i can not afford to have a car and not have air. So we fixed the condenser out of pocket.1st-the condenser part was on a national back order and they stated that it could take up to a month to receive the part.alert that there is a problem with the manufactory making condensers for gm cars. 2nd-the part was $200-300, although the service was $1100.3rd-6 months after the replacement of the condenser and all working fine, paying out of pocket.the transmission goes out and the connection is associated with the replacement of the condenser.gm is aware of this issue but only wants to assist with people who mileage is less than 60k.there is obviously a serious problem and gm has not taken ownership!total cost in 2yrs for repairing and fixing 1part that lead to 3parts $4.5k.

Car would rev, then shift very hard into gear from a full stop - either going forward or into reverse.had also noticed some uneven gear shifts when go up hills and revving of engine prior to transmission engaging when on the highway.taken to dealership, where i was told the transmission pump went out and would require the entire transmission to be replaced, which was not under warranty.this happened at 144,400 miles.however, the remanufactured transmission would be waranteed for 300,000 miles.

Transmission failure while driving down the road. Vehicle not shift into gear.car was under mileage warranty and 20 days outside of 5 year warranty.it is a huge safety concern as this happened when driving the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated while driving 20 mph, the vehicle decelerated and stalled. The contact stated that the rpm was elevated while depressing the accelerator pedal however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. Bystanders assisted the contact in pushing the vehicle to a safe area. The contact stated that he waited for approximately five minutes before restarting the vehicle and continued driving to his residence. The failure recurred and the process was repeated several times before arriving at his residence. The contact stated that an independent mechanic arrived at his residence and informed him that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Both rear passenger seat belts have stopped recoiling and are useless at this point. Chevy has told me that this 2015 vehicle is out of warranty. This is totally unacceptable and dangerous. I believe that this is a manufacturing defect.

Back passenger side seat belt(bench extreme back) would not retract. A child was trapped(12 yr old) in the back seat of this new 2015 suburban suv. The seat belt was somehow wrappedalong the stomach and hooked on the seat, while taking out the belt, it was stuck around the stomach tightly and would not retract back. It was so tight around the stomach and child could not breath properly. I think this is design malfunction where the seat belts would not retract. There was another seat belt in the same car which was completely out of the seat belt winding system, this would not retract at all. This car was taken from a national rent a car center.

We are an insurance carrier.our insured driver rear ended another vehicle.there were no passengers in his vehicle. 20 minutes or so after the accident the passenger side seatbelt area caught fire.no one was in the vehicle, the police officer was able to put out the fire.the side of the seat , door and floor near the seatbelt is burned.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated while attempting to secure the driverā€™s side seat belt, the seat belt pre-tensioner failed and fractured at the base and failed to securely latch.the local dealer was notified of the failure. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

When driving over a pothole or small bump, the suspension seems to let go and the car jumps very abnormally. We only had 30k miles and i believe this is a suspension problem. The shocks make a lot of noise when we go towards a pothole. We went to the dealership to complain about the shocks and they said there was no problem with the shocks. Soon after, i had to change the front left shock because the service department said it was leaking. They did not notice this in the beginning and suddenly made me pay $650 to change the front left shock. Recently, i had to go change my right shocks and pay for that too, another $700 dollar service. It is unacceptable to have both of my front shocks changed within 1 and 1/2 year. I am not the only one who has been having these problems, several of my friends have also had this problem with this model. We have all sent forward a complaint for the noise and suspension problems. I believe it can be unsafe in the future if it is not taken care of. The steering wheel makes a lot of clinking noise when turning. We went to the dealership and had to replace the steering wheel column within a mere 20k miles. The dealership did not see any problem with the shocks orsteering wheel. We currently still hear a clinking noise, as if something is broken on the inside. My warranty is over now and this needs to be fixed. This should not be a problem for a car this new at all. It is unacceptable and i should not have to go to a dealership and waste time and money on it. The seat on the right hand side has cracked two times already. The frame was cracked and we had to have it replaced within the warranty two times now. This is ridiculous and the servicemen have also noticed and said they have seen this problem as well. My warranty is now over and i cannot go back for a third time to fix it if it happens.

We have multiple problems with our new suburban. This occurred at 331 miles, parked, i entered vehicle i started to sit at the right front left passenger seat next to driver seat and i easily bumped into the right corner of the seat between my legs i didn't fell anything at the time and the next day i felt there was heavy tuber bruising on my left legseeked for help at the emergency room because had difficulty to sit on any chair the doctor described my condition as i have bumped into something and kept talking about it the hole time the actuall report is not completed by the secretary that works for the doctor nhtsa should investigate the occurance since the doctor reported it as a injury at the time of visit.i believe the seat(s) are a defect and that they should be adressed.this suburban is still for sale buyers and owners beware the danger of the seats as it occurred to me. I am 6 foot 5 and a half weigh around 270 lbs i am a big person.

I have just over 84000 miles on my suburban.i have had to replace the a/c condenser due to failure in a weld and now have to replace all four struts as they have now failed. I also have part of the heated seats not working as well as sensors that need to be "updated" all the time.i find it ridiculous that chevrolet will not stand behind its product, especially when so many people are having issues with the same parts of the vehicle.

While making turns at various speeds, the seat began to wiggle and vibrate.found that the driver's seat bracket was broken.replaced under warranty and within a few months, the passenger seat frame was broken as well.within another few months, the driver's seat frame was broken once again and was replaced today.gm needs to figure out the issue as we are tired of having work done on a brand new vehicle that is very expensive.we have also had the issue with the water coming through the roof at the seat belt locations.

While driving on a highway, the abs & brake warning lights eliminated. It was determined that the issue was the ebcm brake controller module that had failed causing the associated abs brake pump to run continuously, thus destroying it. The module and pump are located on the frame approx. Below the drivers set. Dealer's estimated cost to repair $1,200.at the time of the incident the ebcm module was on back order and the dealer could not correct the issue. I had to buy a refurbished module and a new pump to solve the issue.

Issue regarding braking system and internal failure. Cost to repair is $1500 on a 3 year old car. Gm has been aware of this issue since 2015. They are also defendants in a class action lawsuit regarding the brakes and the catastrophic failure that will eventually result in death.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving various speeds, the brakes failed and the contact had to depress the brake pedal all the way to the floorboard to stop the vehicle.the vehicle was taken to stonebriar chevrolet (9950 t-121, frisco, tx 75035, 214-446-7880) where it was diagnosed that the vacuum pump fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that nothing could be done. The failure mileage was approximately 55,768.

While driving in stop and go traffic brakes stopped working.eventually was able to come to a stop but felt like i had to fight the pedal to press it down hard enough.kids were in the car and we were almost t boned at an intersection.drove to a parking lot and went to park and had the same problem, couldn't stop and almost hit the parking block. Have 45000 miles on the car.at 40,000 the ac stopped working and had to put 1500 dollars into a new ac - now will have to put 1500 dollars into the brakes as this is not covered under warranty.when will chevy issue a recall for the problems with the 2015 brakes (and ac)?

Breaks would not work going in slow speeds, backing out of parking spaces, or pulling into traffic slowly.pressing on breaks and car not stopping, very scary!

Placing car in reverse or drive at slow speeds and pressing brakes all the way to the floor with the vehicle not stopping. Brake system warning light would come on. Issue comes and goes when it pleases. Taking the suburban to dealership today.started happening around 59000 miles

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact took the vehicle to smicklas chevrolet (located at 8900 northwest expy, oklahoma city, ok 73162, (405) 943-5721) to be repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 18v586000 (steering).

I have a 2015 chevy. Suburban lt the brake pedal is hard to pressand the car continue to roll even after i apply the brake despite the rotor and all the pads have been replaced.....this is very dangerous.

When moving brakes became extremely resistant, using both feet to press brake hard, vehicle would not stop.

The 15 chevrolet suburban has a problem with the power brakes. The brake pedal gets hard and the vehicle will not stop at low speed, backing up or going forward. In one instance i had to use the transmission and the parking brake to stop the vehicle.when depressing the brake at low speed it loses pressure and becomes stiff - hampering the braking power of the vehicle, making it unsafe to drive my family- with my in the vehicle.

Brakes must be pushed extremely hard to stop the vehicle. Vacuum pump for brake system is faulty. Gm will not cover or warranty as the bumper to bumper warranty has expired. Braking issue has nearly resulted in collisions. Called murdock chevrolet on april 24, 2019, but they stated they were not aware of any recalls or service bulletins related to the pump or brakes.

Loss of brakes at low speeds.

Vacuum pump for a brake booster failure

Brakes do not work correctly at any low speeds. Was diagnosed by a certified mechanic as a brake booster pump.the car is completely unsafe and undriveable until i get it repaired.

I was driving my 2015 chevrolet suburban with 7 family members at about 45 mph as we were coming into a city. Two of us started to hear a slight squeal like when a belt slips. After that i shut off the a/c to see if it was that.it was not.about that time traffic started to slow down in front of me. When i stepped on the brake to slow down it was hard and at the bottom of the pedal stroke.i lifted the pedal with my foot and it just fell back down.i was able to get the suburban to stopped in time before hitting the car in front of me.i had to drive the vehicle cautiously for another mile or so to find a safe spot to pull off. I had the vehicle towed 90 miles to a dealer close to a relative as we live another 250 miles away.when i talked to the dealer, he said there was a service bulletin for this issue but i believe he aid itwas only covered up to 69,000 miles.our suburban has 108,000 miles on it as we live in a very rural location.it is 45 miles on way to the grocery store.i have owned gm products all my life and have never been as disappointed in their handling of their customers as i am now.this issue with the brake vacuum pump has been a known issue and they are not covering the repair of it.

When driving at low speeds, i.e. In rolling traffic, or in line at a drive up window or car wash, all brake power is lost.only way to get it back is to get rpm's back up high again.seems to strengthen the vacuum back to normal.i would have to put the truck in neutral and hit gas, then go back to drive, and brakes would work well again.within another hit or two of the brakes, problem will come back.it has happened over the last 2+ years, many many times.at least 25-30 times.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While approaching a stop light and depressing the brake pedal, it failed to stop the vehicle. The contact had to apply excessive force to stop the vehicle. As a result, the contact rear ended a cement vehicle. There was no warning indicator illuminated. There were no injuries. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was able to be driven and was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle previously experienced brake failure. The contact called classic chevrolet buick gmc of cleburne (located at 822-walter p. Holiday drive, cleburne, tx 76033, (817) 402-3167) and was informed that they would cover the vehicle at 70 miles. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. No further assistance was offered. The approximate failure mileage was 106,000.

Was coming up to a stoplight with major traffic and had stiff to no brakes. Was within inches of hitting the person in front of me. My 'service brake assist' light came on. I was told by a chevy service department that my brake vacuum pump had failed and that this was common in the 2015 suburban.

I have the same problem with my 2015 suburban.brake pedal gets hard at very slow speed usually around gas station.this has shown up as over 150 complaints on the same model it must be a recall.has happened 5 times.

Break assistance stopped working as i pulled into a parking spot at work. I needed to put extreme pressure on the break pedal in order to stop the truck at very low speed. Vacuum pump was replaced in truck

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While attempting to reverse out of a parking space, the brake pedal became stiff when depressed and the vehicle would not stop. The contact stated that the failure occurred sporadically for three weeks. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

I noticed the break light came on and within 10 mins i lost my breaks and was unable to press break pedal down to stop. This seems to be very common with this vehicle at 50k miles which mine was as well.

I can't stop my car driving 3 mp i can stop my car driving at low speed is very difficult to stop, when i pres the break at low speed i hear and feel a noise in the break pedal,i hit a car when i was trying to park my car near my house is very unsafe please help

On multiple occasions after i put car into motion and started to depress brake pedal, it was extraordinarily difficult to depress and was barely able to stop the vehicle. I was on a hill so this caused my car to slide forward before barely stopping. On another occasion this same thing happened when i put the car in reverse and pressed the brake pedal. This situation has occurred at least 7 times over the past year we have had this vehicle and it seems to occurs randomly.

My car had a recall for brake system. I got the recall done at a chevrolet dealership in denison tx and it made the brakes whole lot worse. Now it makes lot of noise and "service brake assist" sign comes up on dashboard very often. I talked to dealership and chevrolet customer service but they want me to pay for the replacement of the brake pump. The problem wasn't there before i took the car in. Dealership and chevrolet refuse to help. Please interven.

Air conditioner went out unexpectedly this week. Front seat usb charging ports went out as well. A few days later i attempted to stop the car by breaking but the brakes would not engage. The pedal felt very hard as if pressure was acting against the cars ability to brake and stop. I had to push down with all my force to keep the car from crashing into another car on 1-95 in florida. This occurred on november 21st. I was able to manage to get the car back home after traveling for the holiday but the brake failure occurred a dozen more times on both the interstate, surface roads and parking lots by the time we got the car home. The brake assist notification also showed up on the display panel. My family could have been seriously injured or killed! this car is only 3 years old and is not driven that frequently. No reason i should be having these issues. Dealer thinks it is the vacuum pump. Having diagnosed.

While driving her vehicle today my wife depressed her brake to stop and she said the brake felt like pushing on a rubber tire.the car would not stop causing her to run a stop sign and hit another vehicle.we had the same problem last month and the vehicle was taken to the chevrolet dealership and "repaired" according to the current safety bulletin issued by chevrolet.this collision caused the other person to go to the hospital via ems and my wife was taken by pov to er for evaluation.obviously whatever "fix" was done by the dealership was not the cause of the problem.i was told the vacuum assist pump and hoses were replaced, but the vehicle still had the same issue.

The vehicle was serviced 3 weeks ago to update software related to a recall issue with the brake vacuum and degraded braking power. The brakes on the vehicle suddenly changed as i was parking making it hard to stop. I took the vehicle to the nearest dealer and i was told that the master cylinder and vacuum needed to be replaced. The dealer is charging me $686 for the master cylinder and told me that the vacuum replacement would be covered by gm but that the part has been in backorder for weeks with no eta. I had to fly back home and have no loaner car from gm claiming that the issue does not warrant a loaner, yet i have no idea when i will get by suburban back.i filed a claim with gm and have yet to receive a call.gm has known of this issue for years and has done nothing to adress it.the software fix did not work as i had my truck serviced 3 weeks ago.gm needs to stand by their product and make sure they fix the braking issue asap or purchase their cars back due to the gravity of the safety issue.

Brakes fail to operate at slow speeds. This happens when i'm pulling into a parking spot at very slow speeds while in motion. This is a severe safety hazard as i can't press the brake pedal to stop.

While driving on i90 in stop and go traffic, the car in front of me stopped.i applied my brakes and the pedal was hard and would not depress. As a result my car would not stop and i hit the car in front of me in the rear end. My air bags went off. I received an air bag burn. The car in front of me struck the car in front of him. Both other drivers claim they were injured. My car cost $15,300 to repair. Chevrolet is aware of this problem, issuing preliminary service bulletin pit5361 in 2015, addendum b in 2016 and addendum b in 2017. The problem is a faulty vacuum pump, master cylinder, brake booster, vacuum line, and vacuum pump belt.i was never informed of this problem. I have been driving 50 years and this is my first chargeable accident.

Brake system failure, when pressure is applied to brake pedal the system fails and will not stop vehicle. Usually happens at low rate of speed. The first time this happened to us we were reversing our vehicle down a boat ramp. The vehicle wouldn't stop and almost went into the lake. The vehicle had to put in drive to prevent being submerged in water. Took the vehicle to a chevy dealer and the whole braking system had to be replaced. We were told this is a known problem with 2015 suburban and tahoe vehicles.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while reversing out of the driveway, the brakes failed to operate as designed. The vehicle operated as intended after moving the vehicle to level ground. The contact stated that the failure only occurred while the vehicle was in reverse. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to a dealer or independent mechanic. An independent mechanic was contacted and the contact was informed that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 110,000.

When backing up or driving forward slowly the brake peddle gets really hard and vehicle is very difficult to stop.almost was not able to stop.i was in a parking lot, used my emergency brake to stop as well as putting the car into neutral.

Brake pump assist while backing up in a parking lot and almost struck another vehicle. Vehicle brakes operated normally going home and failed again while backing into my garage. I had to apply heavy pressure while braking both times. Only 65k miles

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban 1500. While driving, the contact had to apply excessive pressure to the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to beck chevrolet (561 central park avenue, yonkers, ny 10704, (914) 965-2400) to be repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The dealer reprogrammed the brake control module; however, the repair did not correct the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the repair would only reprogram the module and the vacuum pump would not be replaced. An independent mechanic also stated that the brake vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 138,746.

Vehicle was in motion, at slow speeds (under 25mph) and when the brake is pushed, the brake pedal became hard but failed to stop the vehicles forward motion. This happens intermittently and is a huge safety issue. This occurs only at slow speeds and prevent the driver from stopping the vehicle even if the brake pedal is pumped. This occurred again today and chevy was contacted and stated they have no recalls or issues with their brake system even though there have been numerous complaints logged to nhtsa. When this occurs there is no braking for the vehicle and will cause an accident if not fixed.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while his wife was reversing out of the driveway, when she had to depress brake pedal forcefully to stop the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to antelope valley chevrolet located at 1160 motor ln, lancaster, ca 93534, (877) 385-0885 and the contact was informed that the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The contact stated the dealer completed the recall repairs. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I experienced break failure at low speeds, most significantly at low rpm.when i tried to apply the brakes the pedal locked and i heard a grinding/clicking sound and was not able to push the pedal down. I experience this most when on a surface with a decline. Also when i switch the car from park to drive the car joltedforward when i took the pressure off the break.the feeling was very similar to the feeling you get when you apply heavy pressure to the breaks and you kind of fly forward. Chevrolet confirmed a leak in the vacuum pump. The vehicle has 53,000 miles. It is no longer covered under warranty.it is a very scary feeling not to have breaks. I hope general motors issues a recall to protect consumers.

The brakes have lost braking pressure three times.after first incident, the brakes were checked and there was no issue found.this occurred on the interstate in moderate speed stop and go traffic.i could have rear ended someone but i was able to pull onto the shoulder of the highway.the second time i had to move my car from one space to another.the car would not stop and i nearly struck a house. Again the brakes were determined to be fine.the third time, i was attempting to park my vehicle when the brakes failed to stop my car.thankfully i was pulling into an end parking space and the curb stopped me from striking another automobile.gm knows there is an issue as there are numerous complaints. The first time this occurred was in august.it occurred again in january 2019.

Driving on freeway and we lost the breaks.barley made it off the freeway without crashing.chevy says its the vacuum pump, right around 50,000 miles.i have read many complaints online with the same issue and same mileage.will it take someone being killed before this is recalled?very scary for our family!

In october 2017 we experienced brief periods where brake pedal became rigid and impossible to depress. The vehicle was taken to our local chevrolet dealer. We described in detail the rigid brake pedal. The dealer wanted to do put new brake pads and turn the rotors. I thought it was strange that a vehicle with just over 40 thousand miles would need new brakes, but we had the work done. The dealer also wanted to replace the vacuum hose which powers the brake system. This work was also done. Next, on friday march 23, 2018 we were traveling on an interstate at a high speed when the brake pedal became impossible to depress. We were very fortunate not to cause a serious accident. I had to have it towed to a dealer and rent a car. The following week we were contacted by the dealer doing the repairs. Our suburban had a vacuum pump failure. This caused total brake failure. After some research i discovered that this vehicle's engine does not produce enough vacuum to power the brakes (unlike every other vehicle on the road). In any other car the only way you lose suction for your brakes is if the engine stops. In our suburban the engine can be running fine and you may or may not have brakes. The warning system is totally useless as it isn't triggered until you experience total brake failure without any warning. While the vehicle was in the service department having vacuum pump replaced the dealer also explained that all four magnetic ride shocks/struts were locked in place and not functioning at all. This is another serious safety issue. I have never heard of shocks "locking up" . After some more research, i found this is a huge problem for gm vehicles. A problem that gm has failed to address. I have also had 3 major repairs on ac. Including ne ac lines and new compressor.

Driving at low speeds the braking systems fails to stop the vehicle.this almost caused us to strike a parked vehicle in a parking lot. The dealership stated the brake vacuum pump has a leak and/or is faulty.

I have and many instants of not being able to stop in time or push down as hard as i can for brakes to work. Felt like nothing worked. Scared the hell out of me. Driving a suburban any no brakes really could hurt or kill someone. Not safe. I brought in to the suburban dealer where i bought it. They replaced the brake vacuum pump. This should not have happened this early to be replaced! this happened to me several times in cities streets where i literally kept pumping the brakes to stop. It is a helpless feeling i have the bill that i paid for this ervice to have the brake pump replaced. Very expense

Brakes failed in a drive through line.same issue as the recall. Suburban had the corrected software update and yet it happened again.this time it lead to a crash rear ending a vehicle.not able to get the vehicle to stop is a serious safety issue.gm has know about this and the fix didnā’t work.this is negligence on their part.

I loose braking when going slow in reverse. The break peddle becomes hard and the vehicle will not stop.this has happened many times and only in reverse. The dealer said it is a known problem but wants $850.00 to replace the booster.they said gm may reimburse me sometime in the future.i do not have $850.00 and should not have this problem with a vehicle with less the 60,000 miles on it.

While driving, the dash message alerted me that i needed to "service brake assist." i was not using the brakes, so i started to slow down and the brakes worked, but when i came to the light, it was like pressing a rock and the pedal would not push down. I had complete brake failure, but thankfully had slowed enough before coming to the light, that i could throw the car into park. I pulled into a parking lot and tapped the brakes several times, turned my car off, turned it back on, put the parking brake on and off. The brakes worked so i began driving very cautiously and stuck to back roads and stayed under 35 mph. The brakesfailed twice more at a stop sign and a red light, while i was driving at low speeds. I drove the car one more time a few hours later and had complete brake failure every time i tried to stop. I had to either throw the car into park, or drive into a parking lot to slow down. I had it towed to a service center at the chevy dealership. The vehicle is under 3 years old, has about 60,000 miles on it, has been kept in great condition, has on time oil changes, never been in an accident, and has new tires. The car had no squealing or grinding to show wear and tear, or any other indicator the brakes would fail. The dealership maintains that this is not covered because we are out of warranty, however, we have an extended warranty that we are using to fix this issue.it is unkown the exact cause, because it is at the shop awaiting diagnostics.

While braking at a low speeds (20-25 mph) my truck surged forward. This sudden acceleration in speed has caused two (2) accidents.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that when attempting to stop the brake pedal travelled to the floor. The cause of the failure was not determined. The contact was concerned that the brake failure may cause a crash.the contact stated that while pressing the brake pedal, the vehicle would not immediately stop and the brake pedal travel to the floor causing the braking distance to be extended. The local dealer stiver chevrolet (111 newland rd. Columbia sc) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet notified.the contact was informed that the vin was not included in the nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (brakes) however, she had received the recall notification. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 99,000.

On quite a few occasions over the years, while driving at low speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the car has been very difficult to stop. This presents a scary situation because i am a 200 lb man and i can barely stop this large vehicle. My fiance is very petite and she is terrified to drive it. I know this is a very common problem with the 2015 chevy trucks and suv's because i personally know others with this exact same problem. It seems as though chevy is just biding time awaiting for the auto warranties to expire rather than fix this deadly problem.

While driving down slight hill in stop and go off-ramp traffic, the brakes become very hard to push and car does not come to a complete stop. This situation also occurred a few times in the past.

While on a city street in stop and go traffic the brake pedal became extremely hard to push and because of this it was very difficult to stop the vehicle.

Vehicle brake pedal becomes hard to press and will not stop vehicle adequately at low speeds (<15 mph)

Hi there ;brake vaccum pump defected ; once going in slow traffic , stop an go , or even backing , brake pedal goes hard and low , suv do not stop and you have to really press brake !and than still going , very dangreous ! there should be a saftey recall on all 2015 , 2016 , 2017 suburbans . It could be in city streets, my drive way , any slow drive back or forth

In late december 2018, the brakes began to exhibit signs that they needed to be replaced.before we could get the car to the dealership for a brake inspection in early january 2019 due to the holidays, the brakes actually totally failed to operate at slower speeds (below 30 mph).even when "standing on the brake pedal" with both feet the vehicle would not stop.this happened several times especially at slow speeds while backing out of a driveway or going through a drive-thru.the "brake assist light" also came on during several of these events.also, a "grinding" noise occurred.this may have been the anti-lock brake system activating.the vehicle is now at the chevrolet dealership in our area waiting on repairs that we are concerned will not correct the problem and prevent it from occurring again.this concern is due to the fact, through our research, that there are pending lawsuits against gm and gm itself has issued several "service bulletins" addressing this issue, but will not initiate a recall of the affected vehicles.they won't even offer any reasonable solution to truly prevent future brake failure even after their recommended repairs are completed and paid for.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While exiting the parking lot at 5 mph, the brakes failed to work without warning. The contact had to change the gear to park in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (bob price chevrolet buick gmc, 1225 s state hwy 16, fredericksburg, tx 78624) where it was diagnosed that the brake booster and the brake pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 51,800.

The brakes became extremely difficult to depress and requires both feet to depress. Even with both feet on the brake pedal, it felt like the truck was not slowing properly.this happened when the engine was at or near idle in a parking lot. After turning vehicle off and the brake pedal did not respond as expected. After increasing the rpms the brakes responded as expected. I was unable to reproduce the issue for the dealer.

Intermittent hard brake pedal and no brakes driving slow speeds in stop-and-go traffic on i70 driving downhill out of the mountains toward denver, co.

At times brakes do not work mainly when backing up however this problem has increasingly gotten worse and the brakes and rotors are absolutely perfect. Bringing truck to atlantic chevy today.i actually felt this when we purchased th truck however everyone said i was crazy until the other day my husband finally had it happen to him.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving approximately 10 mph, the contact had to depress the brake pedal with force to stop the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to lee johnson chevrolet (11845 ne 85th st, kirkland, wa 98033, 425-827-0521) where the contact was informed that he would have to pay a diagnostic fee before any repairs were made to the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the same information. The failure mileage was 50,000.

Vacuum pump failure.the issue is presented when the vehicle is driving at low speed and the brake pedal is pressed 3 or 4 times in a short period after that pedal goes all the way down and stop the car is close to impossible. Lou bachrodt chevrolet - coconut creek representative told me that that's the way this kind of truck work and i need to learn how to drive that truck.

While traveling straight at 70 mph on the highway in my 2015 chevy suburban (62k miles) the vehicle experienced a sudden and undetected complete brake system failure.as i approached slowing traffic with the cruise control on, i tapped the brakes to disengage the cruise control, only to find that the brake pedal was rigid and could not be depressed.to avoid a collision at a high rate of speed i swerved onto the right shoulder while using two legs to aggressively push the brake pedal down - all the while feeling very little braking action.the car came to a stop after about 75 meters.at no time before or during the event did the car signal a braking system problem.in fact it still showed no system indicator of a brake problem 3 days later when it was delivered to the dealer for diagnosis.the car has been well maintained, having just undergone a 60k mile service at the dealership.the lack of the vehicle's recognition that a critical failure in the braking system had occurred posed a serious and immediate threat to passengers and surrounding traffic.as a physician i can attest that a collision at that speed would have severely injured or even killed those involved. This problem with the 2015 chevy sub has reported to nhtsa before - this is not an isolated event. The service center reported to me that a vacuum pump failure was to blame - i believe this is a more complex engineering problem in that the vehicle did not detect a problem despite the failure creating a life threatening scenario.although i plan to immediately dispose of this car, failure to address this problem by the manufacturer will put others at risk in the future.gm appears to have issued a service bulletin that refers to this problem (attached). I sincerely believe this defect will result in lives lost if left unaddressed.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

While in line at toll booth at low speed the brakes were hard to push and slower to respond almost causing accident. Dealer found vacumn pump failed and oil backed up into vacumn booster and master cylinders.

Car only has 60,000 miles brake booster is going out and chevy knows there is a problem but have not recalled. Also front shocks are going out due to magnetic ride system lots of people have the same problem chevy once again has not recalled!

I was experiencing no problems with the brakes, but received notice nhtsa campaign number: 19v645.took vehicle in to markley motors on november 1, 2019 for recall.noticed no difference. On december 15, 2019 while backing up at a slow speed in a parking garage, brakes felt noticeably different, and required all my effort to stop. Took vehicle to len lyall chevrolet in denver, where they advised me that the brake vacuum pump needed to be replaced. I feel that the recall was insufficient and should have covered the actual problem, which is evidently a defective vacuum pump.

In fall of 2018 the hydraulic power brake assist system failed me in a crowded parking lot.i took my car to my chevrolet dealer and they replaced the hydraulic brake system for almost $500 out of pocket.now that a recall has been issued chevrolet refuses to reimburse me for a problem that existed for me almostyear ago and nearly caused a bad accident.

I was dropping off my children at school and had my foot on the brake while they unloaded. As i was driving away at a very low speed (3 or 4 mph) i went to brake around a curve in the parking lot and i could not depress my brake. I tried several times before throwing the car into park and slamming on the parking brake to get the car to stop. This occurred in a parking lot full of kids walking by. I was very lucky not to have hit someone. I then released the parking brake and with my foot on the brake tried to put the car in drive and again the brake would not work so i again used the parking brake to stop the car from rolling. At that point i thought i would try to guide the car out of the the way of the buses and children with the emergency brake so i turned it off completely and upon restarting the car the brake was functional again. I am taking the car to chevy today but they say there is no recall on the issue however, in researching what could have happened i have found many similar accounts of brake failure at low speed in 2015 suburbans. I could have easily killed someone if i hadn't thought quickly to throw the car into park and use the emergency brake.

While driving the vehicle at highway speeds northbound on the fl turnpike, the brake pedal became very rigid and would not allow me to press the brake pedal down as usual. Furthermore, i had to apply a tremendous amount of pressure on the brake pedal to engage any sort of braking whatsoever. In a split second, i had to pull to the shoulder of the highway and continue applying very hard pressure on the brake pedal until the vehicle finally came to a full stop. I turned the vehicle off, started it again, tried coasting and stopping the vehicle and the brake pedal continued to be very difficult to press and would not engage and provide normal braking pressure. I then had the vehicle towed to the nearest chevrolet dealership and they diagnosed the issue as being a bad pump impacting the master brake cylinder. Parts are supposedly on back order with no timeframe given as to the repair.

Brake booster went out while driving with my children in the car!

My 2015 suburban with approx 80k miles, started having brake problems when i would drive in reverse. The brakes had a grinding noise and was getting hard to press. The brake pads were replaced around 46k miles as i bought the vehicle used from enterprise sales. The brakes eventually got worse and had the brake assist message on dash come up. If i had to use the brakes too many times at ine time like if i had to go over speed bumps in my neighborhood, then the brakes would be extremely hard and would lose all power brakes. If i kept the vacuum up with a little rpm's- one foot on the brake and one on the gas, then i could get the power brakes to work. Now it's just totally gone. No power brakes at all now and ordered the vacuum booster and will replace it myself. I called the main chevrolet hotline and they were totally worthless. I told them about all the numerous complaints popping up on the internet and with suburbans with much less miles than mine and tried to see if they had any recalls regarding the brakes. They said no. I said they should be concerned before it ends up killing someone.

This car was covered by nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000.the repair was completed by the chevrolet dealer.the problem has returned and is even more prevalent than before the recall.bottom line, this repair did not fix the issue and this has become a serious safety issue.this is a dangerous situation and someone is going to get injured if chevrolet does not properly fix this issue.

Over the weekend my husband was parking our 2015 suburban with approximately 60k miles on it.when he began pulling into a space and depressed the brake pedal the car did not properly respond and slid.it did eventually stop once he stepped very hard on the brake pedal however it was several feet in front of the desiredparking location.fortunately there was not a car in the spot in front of us.he proceeded to turn the car off and back on again and it appeared tobe working until a few minutes later he was driving at a low speed through an intersection when it happened again.since we had our children in the car, we drove immediately to the dealership and after a diagnosis multiple days later, i was told it was due to the vacuum pump failing, an $850+ repair which was not covered under warranty.after searching i found that this is a common problem with these vehicles which i was not aware of.the part has been replaced with a new upgraded part which should not fail indicating that there was an issue with the original pump.gm is not acknowledging the problem with these pumps and i worry is going to wait for a serious accident to occur before they do anything about it.spoke with gm customer service and they are not willing to acknowledge the issue.these cars need to be recalled before someone is seriously injured.

Brakes stopped working . First time it happened i thought it was my imagination as i was in a parking lot going extremely slow.next day it happened when backing out of my driveway. Had to press brakes extremely hard and it rolled to a stop as it hit curb on other side of road.took it to dealer and they replace the vacuum booster which had failed at aprox. 50,000 miles.not covered under warranty. Every other part of brakes besides normal wear and tear is covered. I was lucky it happened in my driveway and not while driving at higher speeds in traffic.i have additional complaints about this vehichle.the clips holding drivers seat had to be replaced at 40,000 miles because seat was sliding from side to side.they are all ready loose again at 60,000 miles although not as bad as first time. My ac condenser went out at 62,000 miles. It has been on national backorder for 7 weeks and i am still waiting.the car shakes on the interstate at aprox 70 -75 miles per hour.the dealership has balanced the tires and this has not fixed problem.after driving on interstate at high speeds for extended period of time, when stopping the car idles very rough and has even cut off.the dealership ran a fuel induction service. Will see if it works when i get it back after they replace ac condenser.the car shifts horribly, especially when going slow.was told that is a problem with the fuel efficient shifting and there is no repair...just to manually shift. Also, the hood of the car has tiny rust spots coming through the paint all over it.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving approximately 25 mph, the brake pedal was difficult to depress. The contact drove into a parking lot and tested the brake pedal. The failure occurred while driving approximately 70 mph. The vehicle was towed to fitzgerald auto mall frederick (114 baughmans ln, frederick, md 21702) where it was diagnosed that the brake vacuum pump failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 79,020.

I was in car line at my children's school with my children in the car when my 2015 suburban began to have extreme braking issues. The brake pedal became very hard to depress and would still allow the vehicle to move forward no matter how hard i depressed the brake pedal. I had to use the emergency brake and place the car into park. When i had the vehicle taken to the chevy dealership they indicated it was the brake vacuum pump which was almost $1,000 to repair. The car has 45k miles and there was zero early warning to indicate a brake issue. This is highly alarming and dangerous especially if someone did not know to use the emergency brake to assist in stopping a heavy vehicle

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While the contact's wife was driving 50 mph, she heard an abnormal sound. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not able to be driven. Upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact stated that the front brake caliper was missing a bolt. The contact called hertrich chevrolet buick gmc (located at 7677 ocean gateway, easton, md 21601, (410) 200-9757) and notified them of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 74,247.

Driving at slow speeds pulling a trailer, vehicles brake pedal was very hard and they would not stop vehicle.another time without trailer same thing, very very hard brake pedal at slow speed, could not stop vehicle had to apply emergency brake with putting the car in neutral and then in park to stop.

At times, it is very difficult to brake the vehicle. It requires an increased effort to depress the brake pedal at low speeds. This is similar to an investigation that is on going regarding a failing vacuum pump for gmm model vehicles.

Brakes lock up and can't stop the vehicle on numerous occasions. Can't push the brakes in and poses a huge risk to accidents. Needs recalled

There is a vibration at the speed of 70-85. My breaking has issues. I press pedal and it feels like its "broke". I try and stop at times (more often than not) and i really have to press and its like the brakes are not stopping my vehicle at all. Very bumpy ride. Should be smoother and i think it has to do with the wheels and vibration. Vehicle was purchased april of 2019 and it seems to get worse. Husband has spoken with dealership and its just kind of blown off. We researched to trouble shoot and found many recalls that describe what is happening.

When at low speed or in reverse the vehicle feels like the brakes are grabbing and have a very hard time stopping.

The brakes on my 2015 chevrolet suburban are intermittently difficult to depress. The first time this condition was noticed was in july of 2018 while launching my boat. I was backing the vehicle down the boat ramp, the brake peddle was extremely hard to depress. I had to use two feet to depress the peddle far enough to stop before backing into the water. Additionally, when braking while going down the road the brake peddle is occasionally difficult to depress.

When idling in motion the brakes do not work as with a normal tap and you have to stomp on the brakes really hard almost going to the floor in order to get the car to stop. This has almost caused a lot of accidents. No one seems to know what is causing this. Otherwise the brakes work perfectly fine. It is just in this situation. This has been a constant problem on and off since i purchased the vehicle.

The brakes on my2015 chevy suburban are locking when driving a low speed. The problem started all of the sudden while driving under dry road conditions on a city street. If you press on the brake pedal ,it does not move and the car does not stopped. I almost hit a family of 4 that was crossing in front of me.the car has been at dick beard chevrolet in hyannis, ma and they are saying that there is no issue with the brakes and avoiding solving the problem. I've called chevrolet 4 times and they are not calling me back. The car is not safe to drive at all.

Vacuum pump failing and the vehicle will not stop in motion. This has happened several times in both drive and reverse and yesterday was the scariest when the vehicle wouldn't stop on a hill in reverse.

Vacuum booster failure due to problematic vacuum pump. Stiff brake pedal and unable to stop vehicle. This is a safety problem that needs to be recalled by general motors

There are numerous reports of 2015 chevrolet suburban's suffering brake lose. The reports are vacuum pump failure which leads to a stiff or unmovable brake pedal while driving. The brakes are completely inoperable and can obviously lead to a collision. While my vehicle has not experienced this yet, we have a friend who suffered the brake failure described above. In doing some research online, we've discovered this to be a common problem. The complainants describe the problem of a stiff or unmovable brake pedal and total brake lose. Our friend has a 2015 suburban and was nearly involved in a collision on 6/27/2018. Our research has also shown there are numerous complaints regarding this issue and that gm is aware of the problem. If true, we believe, in the interest of safety, gm should recall these vehicles and rectify the problem immediately.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle hesitated to reduce in speed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake booster failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 67,000.

While parking the vehicle at a slow speed the brakes became extremely hard to push and the vehicle barely came to a stop. This has happened multiple times in the past few months. When we had it checked by the dealership they said they couldn't find anything wrong.

Our vehicle did not brake properly on several occasions. Luckily my wife was able to hit the emergency brake so she didn't go through the front of her work.the garage ended up replacing the vacuum pump as it was failing.

Our 2015 chevy suburban had a sudden break loss and it is continuing to happen at slow speeds.the first occurrence happened on the highway traveling at about 60 mph.pedal became very hard to depress

Chevy is aware of this issue. The brake vacuum pump needs to be moved onto a broader recall and not just under a "special coverage" this past weekend at gas pump our break pedal and the ability of the car to stop almost caused a major tragic accident. Fortunately last minute the truck stopped after i put both feet on the pedal and pushed as hard as i could. This issue left unresolved will get someone killed. These vacuum pumps need to replaced and chevy needs to stand behind the issue.the people that don't have 600 bucks to replace these pumps are driving around with a loaded weapon on the streets if they are outside the parameters of their bulletin. I know chevy will do the right thing and recall and fix this brake problem. This was at slow speeds in a gas station backing to get closer to the gas pump. There was no accident, no report filed, or police called but this could have ended poorly.

On at least 5 occasions the brakes have failed to provide the necessary stopping power.when inching forward after a complete stop, i would apply pressure to the brake pedal and the pedal would immediately lose pressure and sink to the floor.i would have to apply additional pressure to the pedal in order to stop from hitting the vehicle in front of me.it would also feel like the abs system would kick in and would pulsate.if i immediately depress the brake pedal and press it again in quick succession the pedal regains pressure but does not regain normal brake functionality.

While traveling straight on the highway last march in warm, dry conditions, the brakes become extremely difficult to push down, resulting in dramatically reduced stopping ability. I could not push the brake pedal down no matter how hard i tried. We had to move over to the shoulder of the road and slow gradually to avoid hitting vehicles in front of us. $1,000 repair required for vacuum system. Not covered by warranty. Dealer denied this was a common problem.

Trailer brake assist malfunction during trip while driving with trailerconnected on highway no problem after ending trip and disconnecting trailer brake assist warning light appeared and 1st glance brakes seemed fine but final pedal pressure is very stiff almost can't stop suv

I purchased this vehicle and was unaware it had open recalls which could have resulted in an accident. The dealership i purchased from did not fix the recalls prior to my purchase and did not inform me there was an open recall.

On three (3) occasions, over a period fo a few weeks, at low speeds or when stopped, the vehicle has demonstrated degraded stopping power while the brake pedal seemed very difficult to depress.after the final occasion, which narrowly averted a low speed collision, an instrument panel annunciator warning to service brake assist was displayed.the vehicle has not been used subsequently.if this report was submitted multiple times, it was because it appeared to be rejected, citing "an error occurred while processing your request.""reference #30.cd896783.1543450729.60a7c40"

Brakes fail to stop at low speed. Vehicle is in motion.it happens after the pedal is depressed a few times and on the third or fourth time the pedal is hard and is very difficult to stop th vehicle.

Vacuum pump failed (according to dealership) at approx 56,000 miles. Almost caused a wreck due to loss of brakes (within inches of hitting someone). There were no warning lights/signs/indications of failure, sudden and complete loss of brake power. Driver had to press brake pedal completely to the floor, only then did the vehicle eventually stop after several feet. Pumped brakes to check for air in line, pedal became hard as a rock. Luckily this occurred at a low speed (pulling up to a drive thru line). If on the street at higher speed, issue would of cause a serious wreck. We were forced to abandon the vehicle, park it overnight and tow it to the local chevrolet dealer the next morning. Brakes appeared to work for tech at first, but upon further inspection and after a call to us for more info, the vacuum pump was said to be failing, losing break power after a couple presses of the pedal (hints why this failure occurred in stop-go traffic). Vacuum pump is being replaced as we speak, but we still do not feel safe driving a vehicle that can have this many safety issues at this price point and at this age; brakes, vibration at highway speeds a.k.a the "chevy shake" that has not been fixed or acknowledged by chevrolet after several trips to dealer, tire recalls, an extended warranty on the a/c due to failures (and it did fail at 36,000), and now a power steering recall, just to name a few.

The bake pedal become hard, and the brake distance is dangerously increased.

The brakes seem to loose power. It appears that the vehicle is loosing vacuum and the operator looses power brakes. I almost rear ended a car during a traffic backup on the interstate because of the loose of power braking efficiency. The vacuum pump is not making the appropriate amount of vacuum to have power brakes.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while making a left turn at 20 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and failed to respond as the vehicle accelerated without warning. In addition, the contact stated that the power steering failed. As a result, the contact crashed into another vehicle. A police report was filed. The contact sustained head, neck, back and wrist injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,000.

I am writing about my 2015 chevy suburban.i own a limousine service and use the suburban in my fleet.yesterday a driver, with passengers, had a total failure of the power braking system.it is at a local repair shop now, and i am being told the air pump had broken apart, inside, snapped the fan belt resulting in no vacuum getting to the power brake system.my driver was barely able to stop the vehicle before rear ending another car on the highway.the vehicle has 54,000 miles and i am being told is out of the bumper to bumper warranty.there are also no open recalls.i am reporting this issue to the nhtsa and the massachusetts attorney general's office, as i believe this is an immediate danger to the general motoring public.i just contacted chevrolet by phone and email.the representative on the phone said all she could tell me is that it's out of warranty, there were no recalls, and i am basically on my own to repair.i hope you are able to investigate this situation, identify the cause of this failure, and come up with a remedy for the safety of everyone.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving approximately 40 mph, the contact attempted to apply the brakes and the brake pedal would not depress. The contact had to apply the emergency brake to get the vehicle to stop. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the master brake cylinder and brake booster failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 100,000.

While driving down the highway the steering locks up the brakes go to the floor and the stabilitrac light and brake light comes on! we had at martin chevrolet in cleveland texas in february of 2017 and it's back there now! they replaced the fuse box last time and they can't figure out what it is now!

As we were driving from atlanta to miami, when we were getting off the highway the brakes on our 2015 chevrolet suburban failed to stop at 60 miles per hour, we almost reared-ended an eighteen-wheeler; with our family of five and our two dogs on board! all fluids had been checked on the car and the brake pads were recentlychanged. We just called and notified chevrolet about this safety issue. We asked if there were any issues and/or recalls on our vehicle and the agent said that there were no issues or recalls regarding this type of vehicle. We made an appointment to have our car diagnosed as soon as possible. After researching online we found numerous posts on several sites from other suburban owners reporting the same issue with their braking system not responding. What will it take for chevrolet to acknowledge this brake failure system issue?!?! someone to get killed?!?! please look into this brake failure issue and address it promptly!!!

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving at a low speed, the contact experienced complete brake failure with her vehicle without warning. The contact was forced to apply the emergency brake to avoid a crash. The failure also occurred when the contact attempted to reverse the vehicle. The contact drove to sutton chevrolet (211 chapman rd, byron, ga 31008, (478) 956-5000) and was informed of a service bulletin on the vehicle regarding a faulty brake vacuum pump. The contact was informed that the pump failed in her vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they would call her back to let her know if they would cover the cost of the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Vehicle is 2015 chevrolet suburban purchased new in december 2015.build date was july 2015.current mileage ~51,000.vehicle condition = pampered. There are no warning lamps illuminated now or at time of incident. At low speeds (~10 mph), brake pedal can become excessively firm, and even with extreme pressure applied, brakes fail to stop the vehicle effectively.i am 6'3" and 220lbs, and yesterday, it took all my effort to keep vehicle from rolling into vehicle in front of me while idling thru drive thru.i'm rarely scared driving a vehicle, but this wasscary.if a pedestrian would have walked in front on the vehicle, i would not have been able to stop.pushing with my maximum effort, suburban took several feet to stop from an idle crawl speed.when this occurs, pedal feels "hard" and has almost no stroke. Hard pedal / compromised brakes lasted ~4 minutes before condition "corrected" itself. This occurred 4/19/2019. I've driven vehicles without power brakes (by design).effort required to stop suburban with this condition is multiple times higher than those vehicles. Is gm doing anything about this brake system failure?at parking lot speeds where this occurs, someone could be killed due to this failure.

My chevy suburban 2015i'm having a problemwith the brakewhenever i come to a complete stop in traffic or in the parking lotor if i'm going slow the brake gets very stiff and cant stop ,i often apply more pressure..begging my car to stop , very frightening please i need some redress..as i understand there's a recall for those truck by gm ..ph# [xxx]yours truly [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

Took vehicle to dealer to find source of loud tapping noise.dealer said it was an unusually noisy brake vacuum booster, but was operating normally.3 days later, as i rolled into a drive through, the brake pedal became very hard and the vehicle was very hard to stop.i am able to replicate the problem with consistency.at low engine speed, the brakes become hard to push after 4 or 5 pedal applications.the power booster is not getting enough vacuum at low engine speeds to maintain safe braking pressures.

The brakes temporarily failwhen applying the brake pedal.the failure is momentarily and happens when the vehicle is at a compete stop as well as at higher speeds.the brake pedal is soft with little to no resistance and will go to the floor and then it will immediately pressurize and it feels like the antilock brakes are actuating. This has happened multiple times in a drive thru and also when approaching a stop at higher speeds.have had the brake system inspected twice and no problems can be found.

*ln

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While drivingapproximately 10 mph in heavy traffic, the vehicle lost all braking ability and the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. Also, the brake warning indicator illuminated. The contact also stated that the failure occurred two other times. The vehicle was taken to chevrolet 112 (2096 ny-112, medford, ny 11763) where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.

Faulty steering column was been replaced in october 2014 (at approx. 6000 miles) and again in march 2015 (at approx 12,500 miles).

It's been overtwo months that i started having problems with my vehicle.when i turn my sterring wheel to make a turn my vehicle turn off;or when i reverse. The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving 35 mph, the steering wheel seized momentarily and then returned to normal. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 18v586000 (steering). The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 111,000.

Can someone look into this and see why the front airbags did not deploy and also why the steering broke? thank you. This is the 4th time my suburban has been in the shop.it has a cracking pop while turning the steering wheel.while the chevrolet dealer is pleased to fix it, it keeps happening again within 2 or 3 days of short distance driving.on some of the online forums, some dealers replaced the steering rack column.some dealers do the alignment and the problem tends to reoccur.

I was involved in a vehicle accident in january of 2017.a very traumatic experience needless-to-say.i was in the far left lane of a 3 lane highway.as i was attempting to switch to the center lane, i suddenly lost the ability to control my steering wheel, as though it was jammed.as a result i continued to glide across the highway, desperately trying to maneuver my steering wheel to go straight.i was frantically telling my passenger ' i can't control my wheel!!' within moments i was at the far right side of the highway at this point, and all of a sudden the wheel 'releases', it no longer felt jammed.when this happens my vehicle turns almost 180 degrees, facing the direction of on-coming traffic, and we were immediately hit by huge tractor trailer. The blessing in all this was there were no fatalities, and i am deeply grateful for that.in the aftermath of it all, my vehicle was totaled and i struggled with not being able to fully understand nor explain how and why this happened.

When pulling into a visitor parking spot at my children's school the steering of my chevy suburban 2015 became stuck in mid turn. It locked in place for a split second or two causing my car to scrape the bumper of the car parked in the spot next to me.when the steering came back it was extremely loose. My vehicle was in motion and very low speed. I have 3 children involved with pta and carpooling kids around daily.i have been driving an suv for 12 years and this has never happened before.the car vin number was indeed part of a steering recall. The recall notice was sent out after my accident. After a claim was put in with my insurance.i am glad no one got hurt. In the meantime the damages to the car i hit has been fixed.

Steering wheel randomly locks up when making a turn from stop or low speed and numerous error lights flash with stabilitrak turning on and off randomly.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving and making a left turn, the steering wheel seized and the stabilizer bar warning indicator illuminated. As a result, the contact crashed into a light pole in the parking lot of the anderson pontiac gmc dealer (1001 bowens mills rd, ga 31533, phone number: (912) 384-0811). There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The contact notified anderson pontiac gmc, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,006.

This happened on 2 occasions. First incident was on 2/14/2020, power steering went out and was unable to turn steering wheel. Had taken to chevrolet dealership locally and they put on computer and showed low voltage. They assured me it was the batter and that i need an ac delco battery and that would resolve the issue. Even had them hook it back to computer to make sure nothing was popping up wrong and to assure it was just battery. They did and nothing showed wrong after changing batter.i went out of town over the weekend trusting their judgment, with my children. Then on 2/20/2020 it happened again! it was taken again and had 9 things showing wrong on the computer. They now are saying it is the power steering gear.i believe this is an issue that needs to be recalled before someone is hurt. I trusted that it was just the battery. I could have hurt someone, my children, if it had happened and i could not turn the wheel to avoid an accident. I was told that the part is on backorder. I think that says enough if they have it on backorder, there is a problem. Thankfully both times i was able to get it taken to the chevrolet place safely without injury. Both times it was stopped, once at a red light and second parked and had gotten out for maybe 3 minutes and it popped up on the screen when i got back in vehicle.

Our suburban is losing steering control and the front suspension begins to bounce. The warning on the dash is "action required" steering assist is reduced drive with care. The vehicle has had this happen in statiknary and while driving.

I purchased this vehicle and was unaware it had open recalls which could have resulted in an accident. The dealership i purchased from did not fix the recalls prior to my purchase and did not inform me there was an open recall.

This is a known issue. Loss of steering assist occurred this past week, 3 times. We took the vehicle in for the recall on this item 5-16-19, when the system was "reprogrammed" by the techs at the chevy dealership. We had never experienced this issue. Then last week, the issue occurred. There was a temporary loss of power assist on a long right hand turn at 35 mph when a female was driving which caused some concern. Then yesterday the steering stopped entirely in a parking lot. I arrived and got in the car and was able to steer but someone of lesser strength could not have. I drove around the parking lot and was headed straight to the dealership, abut 5 miles away. The steering came back on. Then halfway to the dealership, what had happened to my wife happened to me at about 40 mph (steering goes out for a second) and the vehicle lurches hard to the right. She was behind me in my vehicle and saw it happen. We were able to get to the dealership. They documented the lack of power steering assist incidents via the computer. My point is that if this was corrected in may 2019, why is it happening again? if you are not expecting the issue, you will be caught off guard and a wreck is potentially unavoidable. What if i had a trailer in tow at 60+ mhp? death could be the result, for the driver or others. If the issue has not been corrected, gm should pull these vehicles off the road and replace them, free of charge.

Noise and clunking feel in steering wheel when turning at slower speeds. This has now occurred twice. First repair was at 19627 miles and again at 29906. This had also happened on our previous suburban. This appears to be a latent defect in the gm design. Loss of steering can occur.

Over 600 miles from home. Started vehicle and " service power steering- drive with care" message shows. No power steering. Recall performed previously.attempted to drive. Within 15 miles power steering came back while traveling 55 mph.the next morning in the rain a repeat.this is a very heavy vehicle with 6 passengers.hard enough to maneuver with power steering on bag roads. Gm knows there is a problem but like most big companies, they pay off people to avoid fixing issues. Search online and see.

While driving down the highway the steering locks up the brakes go to the floor and the stabilitrac light and brake light comes on! we had at martin chevrolet in cleveland texas in february of 2017 and it's back there now! they replaced the fuse box last time and they can't figure out what it is now!

Steering wheel locked and failed to turn after putting into drive when leaving a parking spot. Needed to put back into reverse to release the wheel. Steering column has since been making loud popping noise during small corrections while driving straight, at various speeds. Steering has been becoming increasingly less responsive and requiring more force. Especially during breaking. Fluid level is normal.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving various speeds, there was a loud knocking noise in the steering column. In addition, the struts leaked fluid. The dealer could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 54,000.

The contact took the vehicle to smicklas chevrolet (located at 8900 northwest expy, oklahoma city, ok 73162, (405) 943-5721) to be repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 18v586000 (steering).

At slow speeds when turning i get loss of steering, service stabilatrak and service park assist as well as truck dies and i lose the radio.

Power steering failed during turn around on a county road, causing my vehicle to go into a ditch, whichdamaged the front end of vehicle. The recall update did not fix the vehicle issue.

Nhtsa tracking # 11308677 - additional and updated info. The problem with our vehicle is that the power assist motor is malfunctioning causing intermittent power supply to the power assist motor, causing the car to become unable to steer or lurch unexpectedly to the left while underway. This is life threatening. The nhtsa approved a recall on the 2015 suburban for specific dates of build, for which ours is not included according to gm. Nhtsa campaign id 14v19000 is in relation to this issue. Apparently. Our vehicle has the same issue the recall should be extended to cover models made when ours was made. Again, this is a life threatening failure that is just waiting to happen unless gm corrects the issue.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While the contact was making a left turn, the steering lost power and then returned momentarily. The failure recurred and the vehicle shut off. The contact stated that an unknown stability indicator illuminated and the vehicle made a whistling noise.the vehicle restarted and was taken to the chuck fairbanks chevrolet (972-408-1571, located at 629 n i 35 e, desoto, tx 75115) where it was stated that there was no recall. The contact was informed to bring the vehicle back if the whistling noise recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000. *dt consumer stated when making a turn steering wheel snaps back usually 2-3 times a day.

When traveling at interstate highway speeds vehicle had shaking, shimmying, vibration and buffeting as well as loud hum and wind noise causing nausea resulting in nausea and dizziness to the driver. This was worse on new macadam and on grooved highway but occurred intermittently on other surfaces, i just purchased this vehicle used and it is certified. I was unaware that this is a common issue and understand now that there is no recall to fix this and that gm has not found a permanent solution to the problem. The vehicle was also exhausting to drive on the highway because of the aforementioned issues.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while making a turn in either left or right, there was an abnormal grinding noise coming from the steering wheel. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v719000 (steering). The failure mileage was approximately 700.

The steering wheel looses power and gets stiff for about 1-2 seconds when im in park and put it on drive and whem i start to go reverse

We have had a clicking sound in the steering column at low speeds while turning.the dealer has replaced a bushing once and the entire column the second time, the issue is back.however, even though we are under warranty we have installed a lift on the vehicle since the second repair.even though it was addressed twice before the lift, gm now refuses to look at the vehicle unless we take it back to stock.clearly the lift is not the issue as it happened twice before it was installed.furthermore, there is a gm tsb addressing the exact issue, so gm is aware there is an issue with the steering column.also, a quick search online yields plenty of similar complaints across all similar platforms from gmc, chevrolet and cadillac, which once again furthers my proof the lift is not the issue.being in the steering column i truly feel this is a safety issue and an immediate recall needs to be issued to resolve this issue.i do not have documentation from the previous repairs at this time, i am working to obtain them.

While driving above 70 mph, the vehicle begins to have vibrations. Have taken our suburban in for multiple repairs but their reasoning was the vehicle and tires were not balanced however after replacing the tires and getting a road forced balance it did not resolve the issue. It does not feel safe to drive above 70mph.

Antenna i have water from the antenna on the top

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the front spoiler was too low causing it to encounter the ground when driving. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who adjusted the spoiler but the failure recurred due to the location the spoiler was re-positioned. The contact mentioned that the front spoiler continued to fracture especially when driving over an uneven pavement. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was not available.updated 6/18/15

The paint (black) on the roof cracked and turned white like spider webbing.chevrolet pointed the roof i had to part 65 % and they paid the rest.now the same thing is happening on the hood.i was told its because of the sun and heat.i don't believe so, because the rest if the vehicle sits in the sun daily and the paintis fine.the vehicle is garage kept at night.i have a 2013 f-150 that sits in the sun all day and in not garage kept and the paintis still likenew.there has to be something wrong with the paint or prep job was not done properly.

The drivers front door vertical trim in coming off and catching in the wind.creates a loud wind noise when going down the road.the piece will not snap back into place.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that water was entering the vehicle through the antenna. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to bennett chevrolet (6721 black horse pike, egg harbor township, nj 08234, (609) 641-0444) where it was diagnosed that the antenna needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer referred the contact to nhtsa. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 50,000.

Vehicle has 49,000 and is garaged and i have had to have the hood, roof and complete drivers side repainted due to clear coat/paint failure. Have spent at least $2500 out of pocket.

While shopping for a used 2015 suburban i noticed that all of them had a fair amount of rust on the undercarriage. The one i ended up purchasing had rust as well but had the least of the ones i looked at.

Roof will not remain attached to the roof bows.this causes buffeting similar to a window being downwhen all are up.the results span from annoying to painful.also the vehicle exhibits loud booming noises over rough pavement that is not prevalent when the roof is secured.the dealer repaired and reattached the roof bows but the repair only lasted about 2 months and a 1000 miles.the dealer has stated they have done all that they can. If the vehicle was crash tested with the roof attached to the support bows then it seems that a roof that has detachedcould be less safe to unsafe since bow collapse and trajectory during a rollover will be altered.a further issue is that when the roof bow behind the sunroof detaches, the roof lifts and this can cause leaking.as can be seen in the pictures, oneshows the forward sunroof to roof interface which is very uniform. The rear surface as lifted in the middle and will get higher with time.the third picture shows the arc in the roof

Blind spot detection modules are bad, vehicle will not detect object in blind spots

In march of 2017, i noticed that the paint on the hood and roof was starting to discolor very badly. I went to selman chevrolet in orange ca where i purchased the vehicle new to show them. I was told that something must have gotten on the paint. I told them that was not the case since i clean cars myself. Car is now really getting worse. I believe that a car as new as mine and with the good care as it has received could only be due to defective paint.

Sail panels (pillar caps) came loose from their mounts.internet search revealed that this is a problem with 2014 and newer suburban type vehicles.mounts can detach from the vehicle at high speed due to wind.they would be a traffic hazard to other vehicles, motorists or pedestrians.

Was driving at highway speed and heard a pop from behind driver. Started hearing a flapping sound and found the drivers pillar cover had come loose at the top. Would not snap back so secured with duct tape as so not to lose the part. Later the same day found 2 other were loose so secured them so as not to have them come off. Have researched this and found many others have had the same problem. Many have said that if under warranty they were fixed but only to have the problem occur again. Have 45,000 miles on vehicle when this occurred so not under warranty. Will confront the dealer just to see if they admit to no good fix and thinking this is just the owners problem. Hard to believe this happens on a $70,000 car.

The black trim on the passenger side door (covering the space between the front & rear doors) has come loose and the vibration is noticeable at highway speeds.this is not covered by the certified pre-owned warranty or the extended warranty i purchased separately from the dealer.the dealership has told me it's a $250 repair and have heard many complaints of this already from other owners.i've got one in need of repair now and another is coming loose on the other side.as the vehicle owner, i'm surprised the manufacturer is not taken care of this on a 2 yr old vehicle and i'm concerned at $250/trim this is going to be costly issue going forward if they don't address it.

The vehicle has an unusual vibration at highway speeds.the roof bows have detached from the roofing sheet metal causing the sheet metal to vibrate.the vibration causes the headliner to detach, and associated components (heat/ac vents and lights) to fall on occupants. The vibration causes significant air pressure issues which create dizzying effects and headache.in this case, the dealer has re-attached the roof bows twice and now they are detached again, but the vehicle is out of warranty.this is a common problem with these vehicles and can be found in multiple locations online, however gm is refusing to fix this problem.http://www.cbsnews.com/news/is-your-gm-vehicle-making-you-sick/http://www.autoblog.com/2015/12/30/fullsize-gm-suvs-making-owners-sick-report/http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015/12/there-s-a-big-issue-with-gm-s-suvs-and-no-one-seems-to-have-a-solution.html

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving various speeds, the exterior window panels failed on the front passenger and driver side doors. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that this was the third time the failure occurred and the panels needed to be replaced. The first two times they were replaced under warranty; however, the manufacturer declined to repair the last failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

Front drive applique came loose from the car, while driving on a highway. The adhesive wore out and created an issue with expanded blind spot and part potentially falling off the vehicle. I first taped it back and then glued it temporarily. When i took my vehicle in for service, the dealer noted that all panels were faulty and needed to be replace. I notified chevy about this issue, as it appears to be a manufacturing defect.

Rear lift gate will not latch. The lift gate can open during vehicle movement.

Badly faded paint top of hood and roof top. Magnetic shocks had to be replaced at cost of $1800.

Roof mounted "shark fin " antenna leaks and resulted in short circuit of the electrical controls disabling the suburban. Second time in 2.5yrs the antenna had to be replaced.

2015 suburban when is rainingi have water coming fron the roof on the driver side is coming fron the shark antennais to much water and my on star is no working and the gps is not working and the dealer say to me no warranty is not fair

I have a 2015 suburban and the door trim between the doors comes loose.our vehicle is out of warranty we took to the dealer and the service tech says they have having a lot of issues with this.we were just in a 2015 gmc denali and they are having the same thing going on.

When driving on the highway, the door locks will unlock by themselves.sometimes all of the doors unlock, sometimes just one or two doors.we have heard the sound of unlocking doors several times in the past as we drove.on august 22, we heard the unlocking sound, and then observed the doors unlocking.after relocking the doors, the incident happened several more times.this can be very dangerous!

All of the window pillars have broken and/or come loose, dues to a manufacturing problem with the clips used. The roof rack rail also flies up while your driving and smacks the roof because of the faulty clips.i also noticed a water leak on the headliner (see attached picture) after it had rained one day. My suburban was parked outside and i noticed the leak when i got into the car. My seat belts were also wet from the leak.this seems to be a common occurrence and issue with other 2015 suburban owners and is a safety hazard, especially if the wiring sits in the water. I had taken it in to a chevy dealer to get it checked out, but i will have to pay to replace everything needed. If these issues are manufacturing errors and such a common occurrence, why should i have to pay to fix them? and more importantly, why is there no recall on them?

On very random but numerous occasions beginning years ago, the liftgate will it will close on its own or it will not open at all.the liftgate is either opened remotely by key fob, interior button or by using the button on the liftgate handle.as the liftgate opens to it's open position, it has on some occasions sounded the warning signal indicating the liftgate is closing while loading or unloading items and on other occasions the liftgate automatically closes on its own, very abruptly, without any warning signal.both types of instances have occurred whilebeing under the liftgate causing me to be struck and hurt. Recently (aug '20), it occurred while having my tire changed by a service provider who was also struck. I have looked into this concern online and have noticed quite a few complaints by 2015 gm owners over this same issue. I also found that there were 17 bulletins in 18 months from april 2014- oct 2015 regarding liftgate issues for this same year model, including a recall that was mentioned on a gm forum (recall #14300????). This is a tragedy waiting to happen to someone if it hasn't already!the liftgate is very heavy and the first time it fell on me, it did leave abrasions and contusions. I was 125 lbs.someone half my weight would never withstand that impact!i would never have anyone else go near this liftgate to load/unload my vehicle as it is a serious liability!please do something about this!all occurrences obviously happened while the vehicle was stationery, at times with the car idoling in the parked position but mostly after the engine was turned off. The ground level didn't seem to affect it one way or another. It has happened on flat ground and on a slopes driveway. ***please note i have 2 videos from the most recent occurrence (9/20/20) that i am not able to attach but will provide.if necessary***

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. On all four doors, the exterior trim was detaching from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the adhesive on the trim was inadequate and needed to be reapplied. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. Heartland chevrolet (located at 501 n state route 291, liberty, mo) diagnosed that the bonding agent on the trim was defective and the panels would have to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 73,105.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the liftgate, after being operated, would independently fall without warning. The contact stated that both she and her husband were struck by the liftgate. There were no injuries. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 46,000.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact noticed water leaking down from the roof inside the vehicle each time the vehicle went through a car wash or when it rained. The vehicle was taken to conklin chevrolet salina (2700 s 9th st, salina, ks 67401, (785) 201-3517) where the contact was informed that the entire roof needed to be removed to find the origin of the leak. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired due to the repair fees. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 9-5410228962. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

Vehicle is creating a buffeting, pressure sound and sensation at low to mid range speeds. Creating headache, dizziness and strain.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that his vehicle bounced up and down while driving at various speeds without warning. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed him that the struts were worn and needed to be replaced. The contact spoke with adams buick gmc inc (1017 berea rd, richmond, ky 40475) where he was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

Our suburban is losing steering control and the front suspension begins to bounce. The warning on the dash is "action required" steering assist is reduced drive with care. The vehicle has had this happen in statiknary and while driving.

The electronic suspension struts have gone out for the second time. This seems to be a very common problem on these vehicles.the first time it happened was in 2017.it has happened again 2 years later.the vehicle is a 2015.many people are having this problem according to the dealership and the repair shop.

I have a 2015 suburban ltz and the "magnetic ride" shocks and struts have failed completely. I have almost wrecked this vehicle numerous times due to the uncontrollable bouncing when you hit a bump. It is not an option at this point for me to pay $1500-$3000 for repairs when i already pay $700 a month for a payment. Online there are masses of complaints about this same matter! i spoke with the chevrolet dealer in jasper, alabama today and i was told that they have had to replace multiple ones in the past few months. I have owned 6 suburban's including this one and i usually put 200k on every one without any problems! this is the 2nd major malfunction that this truck has had and gm does not want to help out at all!! this vehicle is a safety hazard to drive and i have no choice but to continue driving it. Gm changed to shocks and struts on the 2017 because of this problem.

My 2015 suburban ltz has lost both front struts.dealer wants almost $2,000 to repair.if this is as common of a problem as it seems, and i were a major auto maker, i would be embarrassed that an upgraded, high tech suspension system that i added to my $70,000 product was causing my consumers a very premature, very expensive repair.if this is an upgraded, luxury vehicle, i'll take the standard one.i should have stayed with auto maker that stands behind their product.

Have had our vehicle in the dealership 3 times for road/tire vibration from ?tires or suspension. Dealership has changed 3 of 4 tires could not get road forced balances with 22 inch tires. Dealership claims bad batch of tires from bridgestone. Vibration has continued at speeds of 70-80 mph. It all began after the first service at 5792 mile and tire rotation. Vehicle was brought back to dealership advising of vibration in steering wheel and both front seats. Dealership claimed that they were not able to get tires balanced. Had to order 3 different sets ofreplacement tires with no prevail. Brought back again for second required service and dealership has rotated the tires for a second time.

Struts are leaking oil

The service suspension light cam on and the dealer stated i needed all new electromagnetic structs at a cost of 4k. I also know 2 other people who have the same year of vehicle that this has happened to.

Yesterday after bouncing all over the road for months and to the point of being unsafe to drive i took the suv to the dealership only to be told i need 2 new shocks on the front end ($2,000).when you spend over $70k on an suv and just a few years later you need new shocks means clearly something is seriously wrong with the vehicle. After looking around i was correct it is due to a failed magnetic ride system which chevy is aware of and choosing to do nothing.shame on chevy for doing nothing and ignoring the impact to the customer. This will be the last chevy i ever buy.at least some compensation would be great but the dealership doing the work said no since chevy does not recognize the defect.

I brought my 2015 suburban ltz (63,000) into the dealership today for a horrible banging in the front passenger's side and was having a hard time controlling the vehicle when i hit a bump or pot holes. At first the customer service rep told us they could not replicate the issue and after some firm convincing, the tech came back and said that the shocks were indeed leaking in the front. While i have an extended warranty good for 72 months or up to 75k miles and the part is listed as struts under he gm code, the cost is not going to be covered and we are going to have to pay nearly $1800 to repair.we really have no choice but to repair given the noise is not only loud when the car hits a bump but also the performance and handling has not been great since the noise started.after researching it is very apparent that this is a known issue with gm!why isn't the nhtsa looking into this?gm knows this is an issue and isn't doing anything about it. Does it take a tragic accident to get action on this issue. Please help consumers to make this right.

Front & rear of car shakes like a dump truck. Had inspection done at a local shop, since gm dealer found nothing. The sway bar frame brackets are coming loose causing excessive vibration & rattling. The truck also handles very poorly, along with the comfort of ride. Gm is aware of the problem since there are so many vehicles with this same problem. They want us to pay for another inspection to determine if they will do anything. They will not discuss the repair or the cost associated with the repair if they deem it a needed repair. The tsb # is 15-na-082, yet they claim that this is not a good number. Searching the net reveals there are many affected vehicles built from 2009 to 2017 with the affected problem.

Front struts are seized on the right side and leaking fluid on the left. Vehicle has less than 100k miles on it. Without this the car rides incredibly rough and keeps eating through tires.

Car only has 60,000 miles brake booster is going out and chevy knows there is a problem but have not recalled. Also front shocks are going out due to magnetic ride system lots of people have the same problem chevy once again has not recalled!

Tire vibration 40-45 mph and 64 + replaced both rear tires all 4 shocks reprogram ride control, transmission not shifting when coming out of a turn and passing, rear end noise, mirrors not removing condensation 7.5 min on left, 2 min on right. Noise coming from sunroof after rain sounds like bubbles, dvd screen rattle behind driver, air noise coming from around drivers and passengers windows, these are ongoing problems.

Badly faded paint top of hood and roof top. Magnetic shocks had to be replaced at cost of $1800.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While the vehicle was at robert chevrolet (236 south broadway, hicksville, ny 11801, (888)-619-7642) for brake service, the contact was informed that the front struts were leaking. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 49,000. *dt *tp

Car exhibits shaking/vibrations at speeds about 65mph, which at times is accompanied by a buffeting sound.

Yesterday after bouncing all over the road for months and to the point of being unsafe to drive i took the suv to the dealership only to be told i need 2 new shocks on the front end ($1680). When you spend over $70k on an suv and just a few years later you need new shocks means clearly something is seriously wrong with the vehicle. After looking around i was correct it is due to a failed magnetic ride system which chevy is aware of and choosing to do nothing. Shame on chevy for doing nothing and ignoring the impact to the customer. This will be the last chevy i ever buy. At least some compensation would be great but the dealership doing the work said no since chevy does not recognize the defect. Front shocks/struts failed at 63,000 miles.even with an extended warranty you are basically out of luck.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the vehicle made a grinding noise while driving over 45 mph. In addition, the traction control warning indicator illuminated.

My ac condenser has a leak. Gm issued a special recall if the owner reported it within 60,000 miles.i wasn't lucky enough for my ac to fail within that period nor was i notified that the condenser was a manufacture defect. Gm will not fix my ac condenser unless i pay out of pocket $1000.

Rear hatch that is enabled by foot sensor is activated when not intended to and the rear hatch can close on occupant if not pushed by manually.asked dealership to disable feature and they said they are unable to.the rear hatch closes spontaneosly when a motion is detected near rear hatch and not just as intended to if quick in/out motion of foot beneath rear car hatch is detected. Very dangerous if children are near when open and they don't know how to push hatch back to prevent from closing.i have repeatedly reported to chevy and they say there is nothing they can do.

While stationary, when opening the automatic rear lift gate, the gate gets to a fully open position and then slammed back closed striking me in the top of my head. This continues to happen wvrytomw the lift gate is opened. Research online makes it appear as though this is a known and continuous issue. No serious injuries were sustained, but somebody could be seriously injured by this issue.

You wouldn't believe how badly my 2015 chevy suburban is responding to a simple daily drive! if you want to see a terrible ride, come to my home town so i can take you on the ride of your life! i had my suburban at the dealership two weeks ago and they suggested that i change my spark plugs, wires and clean my throttle body and that they didn't see any transmission problems because the car didn't 'throw a code!' on top of downplaying the seriousness of the issue, they charged me a cool $90 for performing a diagnostic that showed absolutely nothing! chevy needs to seriously answer to this issue. My suburban is still under powertrain warranty and i feel like chevy is trying to wait for the warranty to expire so that i will have to come out of pocket for repairs. This is pathetic!

I'm a frustrated customer with a 2015 chevy suburban looking for some assistance with the air condenser on my vehicle. I have gone almost 2.5 months without a/c and i am incredibly disappointed to be have been going so long without something as basic as a/c. I have 3 small children and it's incredibly uncomfortable in the vehicle now that it's summer temperatures especially with black leather interior. On an unexpectedly cool day like today with outdoor temps at 67 the driverside foot area is 98 degrees because of hot air blowing which i assume comes from the engine. I shut off all the vents and fans and it still blows. On days when it's warmer that floor temp is more like 114-118 degrees and it's causing pain and burning sensation to my feet. I've contacted my dealership and they offered me to end my lease early and get into a new suburban.i've been so disappointed with the way this has been handled. I have never been so unsatisfied as customer for such a long period of time.i feel like i should be reimbursed for the two visits for diagnostics on the vehicle to find out why the a/c wasn't working and the rental car i needed. I also feel like i shouldn't have to be paying my lease payments for a faulty vehicle for the last few months that it hasn't been functioning properly. Lastly, i would like the option of ending my lease early without penalty to get into a more comfortable vehicle of my choice. I've contacted gm customer service only to be told there's nothing they can do unless gm decides that this should be a recall. Frankly, this is a problem amongst many vehicles in the gm line. This is frustrating and is really becoming a safety issue as temperatures rise. I am genuinely concerned for my family's safety and i am frustrated with the overall lack of urgency on this issue.

Just a week ago we started experiencing problems with the brakes on our 2015 chevrolet suburban and now today the air conditioner stopped working. I'm a mother of three, one of them just turned one year old; we love in miami, fl, where air conditioner is not a luxury but a necessity. We changed from an eupean suv to an american suv that is just two years old, i don't understand how can it be having several issues. Chevrolet needs to be held accountable for these reoccurring issues affecting numerous consumers.

I don't have a complaint about my suburban, it's a great vehicle. My complaint is after seeing so many news articles about babies being left in cars and dying of heat i believe the nhtsa needs to require all new car seats must be blue tooth capable and a pressure switch in the car seat.....and if the car is cut off for more than 1 minute, but the seat still has a baby in it, then the car should start flashing lights and honking (just like when keys are left in the car).the only way car seat and vehicle manufacturers are going to do this is if the nhtsa requires it-just like backup cameras keep kids from getting run over accidentally this requirement would keep forgetful parents from causing accidental deaths and save lives.

Automatic transmission: cooling unit and lines. The person in the chevrolet dealer told me that this can cause a fire.because the cooling andthe oil like was leaking and need to be fix and it will cost me 1240.00 dollars.i take to the dealerbecause the check engine was flashing not stop.

Suv loses all power while driving, the car has been diagnosed and no problems have been found.this happens quite frequently

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet suburban. While driving between 35 and 55 mph, the occupants in the vehicle endured migraines, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, and ear popping. Medical attention was not required. The vehicle was taken to a dealer several times where it was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 13,500.

The air conditioner stopped blowing cold air and upon review by the dealer the condenser needs to be replaced.how does a vehicle that is only 2 yrs old and never been in an accident have a hole in the condenser?this is ridiculous and is very dangerous during periods of extreme heat.i purchased a newer vehicle to avoid issues and repairs such as this.the ac does not work whether the car is in motion or stationary.

Water is leaking into roof mounted antenna and is preventing onstar system to determine location of vehicle by disabling compass, xm radio system, navigation. A red x appears under the gps symbol in the display unit when the vehicle is on, moving, and stationary.if you lift on the sharkfin roofantenna over the driver's seat water runs out.this is identical to the problems in nhtsa id number: 10058785; however gm tells me that my vehicle vin is not covered under that issue id.

National a/c condenser backorder: today marks 21 days without an a/c condenser on my car. I have a small child (15 months old) and gm has no idea when an a/c condenser will be available. I am the 6th person at my local dealership to need one, the 3rd one at a local automotive garage. Gm says they have not heard of this issue but a small google search will show there is a very large issue across the nation, hense the national backorder on the part. I have tried calling various chevrolet dealership trying to locate this part.

Have been waiting on ac condenser for 7 weeks with no idea how much longer it will be.

Sound buffeting in when traveling 40-45 mph. I have read that it may have to do with the roof separating from the roof bows. Is this jeopardizing my family's safety?it also causes discomfort while driving. This seems to be extremely widespread; fox news and usa today have released stories which means a large percentage of vehicles are having these issues. A recall needs to be issued.now that gm and nhtsa are publically aware, responsibility for any safety violations are in there hands.

Leak in ac coolant line 1k miles over bumper to bumper warranty. My own fault for not purchasing the extended warranty

While braking at a low speeds (20-25 mph) my truck surged forward. This sudden acceleration in speed has caused two (2) accidents.

At 48,000 miles, the ac condenser has cracked, and the dealer has told us this is a manufacturer's problem.the replacement part is on national backorder, and we have waited 5 weeks for the replacement part to come in.niether the dealer or gm can tell us when the replacement part will arrive.i have filed a complaint with gm, and the case no. Is 8-3029151511.

At 66,000 miles the air conditioner quit working.i took it to the dealer where they found the condenser had a leak and was told that there is a massive backorder on the parts needed to make the repair.they found 4 parts in wisconsin but they would not sell them because they too had a local demand and needed 50 for these same repairs.this is not covered under any warranty.we own a 2007 yukonxl and have never had an issue with the a/c.

Brakes suddenly stopped working or very hard pedal.almost crashed into a wall.

552(b)(6). *cc

Bought a used 2015 suburban noticed a vibration you can hear and feel between 40-60 mph. Tried to get it fixed but no one knows what is causing it on 4th visit to get it fixed right now have had it for 3 weeks tried to get dealer to take it back and they refused after fixing brake rotors. It is also having problems downshifting. Randomly. Will downshift while maintaining speeds of 50-55 mph to 38 with no warning will make grinding noises and am unable to steer or break. Afraid my family is going to get rear ended while it's happening. Can't accelerate or do anything while it's happening. Do not feel safe driving my family in this car but it's what we have...

While driving @65 mph on a four lane highway, grassy median between the north and south lanes, no other car around me, i heard a loud pop and crash.i thought my car had been shot or a window had been blown out.i saw nothing when i looked around the car.then i heard wind and realized that my sunroof window had exploded.scared me to death, luckily my inside sunroof panel was closed so no glass entered the car.i am certain that nothing hit the roof and cracked the window.it exploded on its own.when i stopped, it looked as if the window had bubble up and burst, as you can see in my picture, it looks as if it bubbled up and burst.

Vehicle has unusual vibration at highway speeds.it has done this for some time & does this over most road types - we recently took it to florida on a 2,000+ mile vacation trip - it vibrated most of the time on the highway.here is a 30 day link to video of vibration:https://www.icloud.com/attachment/?u=https%3a%2f%2fcvws.icloud-content.com%2fb%2faauip4ufpiywv-lvsmey5oz-ljchas2maf2eqwpyj_ffk4inuqjuua3d%2f%24%7bf%7d%3fo%3dal4p6orkl19_tbylinuxrjffreo4hkmgzeuf9-f6kl4x%26v%3d1%26x%3d3%26a%3dbfu-yajvazh_a_-umwea_whiap8vytby%26e%3d1465132707%26k%3d%24%7buk%7d%26fl%3d%26r%3d985c76d2-cece-4030-b968-f19dcf98d382-1%26ckc%3dcom.apple.largeattachment%26ckz%3dff26f67a-c38c-48f9-a562-d17e77a0eaa3%26p%3d30%26s%3dwpavflxtznbmr3mwzkqj98qatgi&uk=m7pjepktnqi6f1kjhuzcsw&f=img_0466.mov&sz=45872032

A/c stopped cooling. Repair shop identified it as a leaking condenser. Repair shop was unsuccessful in finding replacement part at local auto parts dealers (e.g., advanced auto, etc.) and was told that local chevy dealership had purchased entire stock of respective a/c condensers and that parts were backordered. After calling local chevy dealer, they were familiar with issue and said they "wouldn't be surprised if there was a recall" because they were seeing a lot of these issues. When i took the car to get repaired the service rep said, "i hope customers are reimbursed for these repairs." there seems to be a systemic problem with these condensers and chevy is aware of it, at least their service departments are. I would appreciate a recall being issued and reimbursement of my $942.63.

Vehicle shakes when it is idling or is slow traffic in gear.

Vibration at all different speeds. Feel in seat and steering wheel. Also feels like the back window is open. Makes me nauseous and dizzy. Had ring and pinion replaced. Tires changed and balanced twice. Nothing is helping. Bought dec 31st 2015. In shop for 25 days. Owned for 5 weeks

2015 chevy suburban shakes uncontrollably starting at 50 mph. Peak of shaking at 77 mph.increased weight seems to increase effect such as full tank vs low. Vehicle is in motion.

Radiator stress fractures discovered at 98k miles. Always serviced at chevy dealerships.

The air conditioner went out on my suburban in early june.i am still waiting for the part that is on back order.it gets very hot in the summer in my state and is concerning to me and my children.when we are stopped in traffic it is horrible.we can't take our dogs with us because it is too hot for them.

2015-2017 chevy suburban, cracked combination transmission fluid oil and ac condenser coolers. These vehicles have a common condition where thermal cycling on the combination transmission fluid oil and ac condenser coolers can create a crack, allowing ac refrigerant to escape and subsequently deactivating the vehicle's air conditioning system which could impact transmission, which could be potential safety hazard if occurred while driving, in which case has happened to our vehicle while it was being operated on highway at speed of 70 mph.per gm, the warranty for this condition was extended to five (5) years or 60,000 miles, however for most vehicles the warranty went into effect a year before some vehicles may have been sold, in our case it was activated in 4/2019.this being a common issue with this vehicle, gm has never issued a specific recall to address the problem.how can i request this matter be investigated and a recall issued to address the problem.

My vehicle has an awful vibration to it, that starts at a low speed and continues as speed progresses.also i have been getting headaches everytime i drive my vehicle.this has been going on for a couple months now and has been taken to tire place but they cant seem to find the issue.within the last couple of weeks i started putting 2 and 2 together with my headaches coming on when i drive my vehicle.

Excessive vibration when traveling at highway speeds between 60-70 mph.vehicle has been to dealership 3 time for this problem and they state everything is normal.rebalanced tires and checked the suspension but it cannot be fixed.manufactuirng defect.

Air conditioning condenser is faulty vehicle is covered bumper to bumper under warranty and no replacement is available. No rental car offered, no date of repair is available. Driving with no air conditioning in the heat is miserable.

The brake assist notification also showed up on the display panel. My family could have been seriously injured or killed! this car is only 3 years old and is not driven that frequently. No reason i should be having these issues. Dealer thinks it is the vacuum pump. Having diagnosed.

Vibration atspeeds of 70-80 mph. The tires have been road forced balanced 3 times still has the problem. The problem was noticed after the first service and tires rotated.
