Dashboard cracking - started right by the passenger airbag on the dash.concerned about impact on airbag deployment.

Recall no remedy available extended time frame.

This is the third suburban i have owned in the last 7 years. I have owned a 2008, 2011 and now a 2013. They have all had the same problem.the dash board cracks at the left top corner of the passenger airbag.i am afraid that if the air bag goes off the dash may separate into pieces becoming flying objects.in my current 2013 vehicle the dash has also started to crack on the dash panel on the drivers side.

Dashboard adjacent to passenger airbag cracked spontaneously while parked at my house. Integrity of dashboard, were the airbag to deploy, is now questionable.

Multiple cracks in dashboard next to airbags

I previously filed a report concerning the dashboard cracking in 2 spots. On the passenger side the crack is at the top left corner of where the airbag sits. This has been brought to gm's attention they've fought replacing these dashboards.now you have issued a recall on the airbags. How are they to be repaired correctly and made safe whenthe plastic seated around them is cracked and defective thus leaving us still exposed to shattered plastic from a defective dashboard. The dashboard replacement should also be part of the recall!

Within the last two months, two cracks have appeared in the dash near the passenger side airbag.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. While idling on the highway, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the neck, back, head, and mouth that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to trapp cadillac chevrolet (200 s hollywood rd, houma, la 70360 (985) 200-3937), but the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 18,000.

Large cracks in dash panel in front of steering column and passenger air bags developed over night. Separated section appears to vibrate withoutsupport of underlying bracket.

Dashboard is cracked where dash meets passenger airbag and also on driver's side.

Dash crack immediately adjacent to passenger side air bag, could cause plastic projectiles during an accident involving air bag deployment.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while driving and making a right turn, the brakes would erroneously activate causing independent deceleration. The contact also indicated that the air bag warning light was illuminated and the horn had also failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 36,000.

My vehicle is less than three years old from date of purchase (oct 2013) and current mileage is just shy of 58k.my dashboard around the airbags is cracked on the passenger side.it is also cracked just above the driver side instrument cluster.my vehicle was not moving, it was parked in my driveway.my concern is in the event of a vehicle accident should the airbags deploy that the broken dashboard pieces will become projectiles.upon further research via social media and various news sources, i have learned that this is an issue with gm products (avalanche, escalade, sierra, silverado, suburban, tahoe, yukon) from 2007 to 2014.these vehicles should be recalled to have the dashboards replaced with a more suitable material that will not crack in less than three years.

When decelerating getting off of the highway 6/6/2020 the vehicle engine revved up on it's own. The message center is saying that the airbags need to be serviced, the air conditioning turns on and off and goes from high to low on it's own , and the power windows in the second row of seating will roll down but can only be rolled up at times by the drivers side window controls.the brake grading system turns on at random times and the tire sensor reading displays are off.the tire sensor readings are the opposite of what they appear to be on the message center (ie. The message centersays that the left rear tire is low, but the right rear tireis actually low.lastly, despite regular timely recommended oil changes one of my lifters in my engine broke off on the way home from work one day last year.i was stopped at a light and went to accelerate and the check engine light came on and the vehicle started shaking. I pulled over and had to have the vehicle towed to an autoshop.the entire engine had to be replaced and it was just a month outside of the factory warranty.so we had to pay out of pocket for the entire cost of the repair.this truck has been one hazard after another since we purchased it.

Without any impact or any other stress whatsoever, a crack has appeared at the front left corner of the passenger airbag and extends diagonally toward the windshield for several inches.

I have been notified of a dangerous airbag recall on my 2013 suburban. The parts are not available to fix the issue at this time. This is unacceptable. My vehicle is not safe to drive. Chevy is not returning our phone calls. Apparently it is ok with them for me to drive my family around with what is equivalent to a hand grenade in my glove box.

I want my airbag recall replaced but there is still no time frame as to when i can go take it and get it fixed by the manufacturer... This is dangerous.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21v053000 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the issue. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Air bags hazard warning displays on dash today 2/13/2017, when vehicle was getting started. It was parked in drive way never been in accident and warning light stays on.

Cracking dash around air bag location.will cause pieces of plastic to explode in the air if air bag is deployed.

Plastic dash is cracking around passenger airbag posing a safety hazard.

Rear lift gate when attempting to raise will rise 1/2 way then come back down, then back up, then back down. Sometimes will go all the way up and when i go under it it the lift gate will come down with force hitting me on my head. Constant trouble with this issue.

On 12/08/2018, the vehicle stalled while in motion on street pulling out of driveway and traveling on the highway. Then the dasboard and entire electronical starts to shut down and truck starts jurking losing more power. Then the traction and stabilizers are deactivated. Afterthe truck is park it will not remote start or start with the key until after a couple of hours. The a/c deactivated with a message saying that the engine is to hot. The problems started back in 06/2018 happen on a frequency of 3 to 4 times a month.

Engine died on highway lost all power and no steering. Was told by dealer it was a bad neg battery cable. It is shocking that a bad battery cable can cause a deadly situation. Certainly someone will die from this defect if they havent already. Dealer claimed to repair the vehicle and it happened only a few miles after i picked up the vehicle. Error code was p0601. They have the car for repair again, but i refuse to every drive the death trap. I have had 20 suburbans and i hope this is an isolated defect not one that affects all suburbans.this defect is extremely dangerous. Someone will certainly die from this defect.

Service trailer brake system message would be displayed and the stability control would turn off randomly while driving down a street or highway. The engine stalled randomly and all the gauges turned off while driving on the highway twice. At times there would be no power when you turn the key to start the engine, but if you come back later it could start right up. It sounds very similar to nhtsa campaign number 14v614000, but that recall doesn't come up under my vin on this site or on the dealers system

The engine started knocking very loudly. We brought it to our local mechanic and were told that it needed a new engine. He also said many 2013 suburban engines had been needed to be replaced due to poor metal used in the manufacturing process

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that at start up and while driving, the low oil level warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the oil pressure sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact was concerned about possible engine damage if the vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the vehicle was purchased and the contact was informed that the vehicle would be repaired under warranty. The warranty company declined to authorize the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Tapping or clicking noise coming from engine compartment. Car lost power, bucking with hard shifts, and stabilitrack, abs and check engine lights all come on. I took to authorized repair shop and they found misfire on cyl 4. Changed all spark plugs/wires and cleaned thottle body and tune up as well as oil change. Car continued hard downshifting after picking up. Drove for a week and symptoms reappeared again. Shop is currently trying to diagnose if it's a bad lifter(s) or possibly fuel injection problem. Shop owner admitted that he's heard of problems with gm's 5.3 engines and the active fuel management system wrecking engines. I have my 3 kids in the car and it was scary almost getting stuck in the middle of a busy street.

Traveling in the right lane of a four lane highway. Maneuvered into the left lane and accelerated under full throttle to pass another vehicle. After moving back into the right hand lane and releasing the accelerator pedal the vehicle continued to accelerate. Depressed accelerator pedal several times through its full range of motion to ensure that it was operating freely but that resulted in no change. Vehicle did not respond to accelerator pedal input changed. Seemed to be stuck at wide open throttle. Applied full brake pressure as hard as possible to slow vehicle as it continued to try to accelerate. Brakes began to get hot and brake fade was imminent. Shifted transmission selector up into the neutral position. Engine momentarily overran to the rev limiter and then settled at 4000 rpm. Continued to apply brakes to a stop while in neutral. After being stopped for approximately 30 seconds the engine slowed to normal idle speed. Throttle seemed to actuate normally again. Shifted transmission to drive and proceeded to the dealer. Approximately 30 seconds later the dash indicator "grade braking on" appeared in the mfd and then disappeared. I was traveling on flat ground at approx. 20 mph and not depressing the brake pedal. I confirmed that the tow/haul mode was not selected on the transmission. Proceeded to dealership and awaiting repair notes.

My vehicle is only 2 years old. At approximately 85000 miles on a car that is properly maintained it suddenly started to burn out spark plugs. After numerous spark plug burn outs and service appointments i was told that the engine is damaged because the number 1 cylinder was cracked and opening the engine was the only way to confirm how significant the issue was. As the cost and remedy was unknown and longterm fix seemed unfavorable to me, i took the option to replace the engine. I have tried to get to a resolution with gm but got absolutely nowhere. I am in a network of owners of these vehicles and a significant amount of drivers are experiencing the same issue. Some gm service stations have also mentioned that the issue was not corrected until the 2015 model year. This tells me that gm is aware of the issue and has chosen to do absolutely nothing to assist customers with this unacceptable issue. Overview of the many issues:excessive oil usagespark plugs burning out or failingsluggish engineclicking noise in engineprior to fixing the engine, i spent approximately $1500 in repairs and lost wages as i use the vehicle for work.

I had driven my vehicle to work.mid-morning i started my vehicle while in the parking lot of my work to run an errand.i backed out of the parking space and drove maybe 100 feet when my check engine light came on.my vehicle also began considerably shaking.i went straight to my mechanic.he found that one of the lifters had failed.this was not the first time he had seen this problem.my mechanic has a friend who works for a gm dealership as a mechanic.the friend had previously advised my mechanic this is a known problem with this engine.if a lifter fails while the engine is still under warranty, only the one failed lifter is replaced although it is known they will all fail at some point.gm has not acknowledged this problem to the public and they will not issue a recall or correct the problem.i ended up replacing all lifters since my mechanic had already removed the engine and we knew at some point all lifters would have to be replaced. (note: i was only able to upload page 1 of the invoice below).

Feb. 15 , 2019 transmission went out in car. Brought car earlier in the year because it was jerking but they said it was normal. Went out of town and transmission went out at 93,721 miles. Extended warranty went out on feb. 14, 2019. Only hours before and no company would help! we paid 5,000 for a replacement and noticed that my dash had a crack in it after being repaired. Chevrolet company said they didn't do it. Now the dash is almost cracked all the way to my steering wheel. I understand the wear and tear of any vehicle, but for the warranty to go out hours before hand was unbelievable. Plus, the repair man that installed my transmission said my motor drinks oil. Yes, we know that. He explained to us why and said that chevy should have replaced my motor when we brought it in during our bumper to bumper warranty. We no longer use chevyland because of their lack of service department. I will say that chevy needs to build better door rests. Every time i push open my door or close it, the handle area is broke in half. Its a thin piece of plastic and its not worth paying an arm and leg to fix it. Needs to be a piece of metal.

Brakes light anti-lock/skid e-brake keeps activating, but does not show up as a code or problem. Intermittent code p015b and p015d at the shop sometimes this code does not appear or at different shop code is active. Brake light comes on when stationary and stays on. P code occurs when in motion. I have a syncup drive on my vehicle so i get the p codes, brake code never comes up same when at the shop

Vehicle was picked up brand new from the dealership, with approximately 1/8 tank of fuel.the fuel tank was filled, and the following day, shortly after leaving for a trip, a grinding/rattling noise started.inspection under the vehicle revealed the front of the fuel tank was approximately 8-10 inches lower than the back, and the strap to secure the tank to the vehicle nearly on the ground.a metal guard on the inboard side of the tank was rubbing against the driveshaft, causing the noise when driving.after towing to a dealership, tank was fixed, and dealer service remedy stated "front fuel tank strap was not seated in frame, tank fell when filled up, tank and shield damaged, replaced fuel tank, front strap and shield front tank left side".

When braking or slowing down this suburban acts like it wants to keep going, like a jerking motion forward and back, making the stop hard, as if it is trying to accelerate and brake at the very same time, because the rpms are constantly moving up and down switching from v4 to v8 mode. Going down hills and going up an short inclines the vehicle does the same jerking motion, forward and back until i come to a complete stop. When taking off and keeping a low speed under 35 mph the vehicle cannot maintain the speed, it acts like it wants to stop ( it never has died) but i have to punch the accelerator to get the vehicle to pick up its speed again. While i was in a school pick up line just coasting along around 10 mph, my foot was not on the accelerator or brake and the vehicle moved forward on its own. The issues seem to all happen at a low speed, from 0-40mph. I have taken this vehicle in to the chevrolet dealership on several occasions for the same issues as i have described above. Each time they are unable to duplicate the issue. My biggest aggravation is that this vehicle does not do this every time i drive it, which makes it difficult to be duplicated. I am concerned that when i am coming to a stop that the vehicle will not stop and rear end another vehicle. This issue started around 2000 miles and has continued to this day, currently this vehicle has 7500 miles on it.

While traveling on the interstate 200 miles from home, the transmission catastrophically failed.within 25 miles of the check engine light coming on, the vehicle would not move.totally stranded in place in middle of highway.needed to be towed to local dealership.was diagnosed as failure of clutch plates in the transmission.this 2013 suburban only had 90,456 miles on it.dealer charged $4,260 to repair transmission.gm customer assistance would provide no cost share.

2013 chevrolet suburban have an electrical and transmission clunking problem for the past 2 years, and gmc don't want to do anything about it. Krystal dealership in brooklyn, ny and manfredi dealership in staten island, ny, have no customer service what's so ever

Traveling in construction in merge lane tapped on brakes, drivers seat belt caught and did not release driver applied brakes to avoid collision with a merging semi.the seat belt tightened even more pulling the driver up out of the seat the back seat passenger had to release the belt after beating on the release latch. Taken to dealership it was found that both front seat belts were binding and not releasing.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal would depress to the floorboard. Additional brake pedal travel would be required to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that no warning light was illuminated. Over the years, the contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics where several brake repairs were performed on his vehicle however, the brake failure persisted. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Have replaced calipers 3 times since august 2018. Started with squealing of brakes and then taking to mechanic to find that caliper was "frozen" and eating up the brake pads. The abs pump is not releasing appropriately and causing the brakes to remain in a braking mode while driving. It is not both sides at the same time. It has alternated sides so the master cylinder was ruled out as an issue. Inner and outer tie rods ends were replaced first, and then the first set of calipers. Then brake hoses, pads and rotors were also replaced. At that point, the squealing happened after about two weeks of driving and we found it was a caliper sticking. Thinking that it was a faulty replacement, it was replaced and did fine. Two weeks later the same happened with the other side.this has happened another time since the first set was replaced. At this point my mechanic had figured out that the abs pump was what was causing the issue and because it was somewhat intermittent, it didn't trigger a code in the vehicle. He was able to do testing that showed failure on the side the caliper was not releasing on and then after about 5 minutes, it released, he retested and it passed. He called his oem supplier who then told him this was a "known issue" and that there were only 5 of the pumps available nationwide and all were spoken for. About a week later, the rep let him know that the part was in production with a ship date of dec. 3rd 2018.

The vehicle was in cruise control at 75 mph.while trying to switch lanes and disable the cruise control with the brake pedal the vehicle accelerated . We were unable to slow the vehicle as it reached a speed of 115 mph.driver put both feet on the brake pedal as we tried to slow the vehicle for just approximately 10 minutes while weaving in highway traffic.the vehicle suddenly stopped and slowed.

Parking break when depressed will not lock in place, simply can' make it work.

While turning left at an intersection from a stop, half way into the turn there was a clunk or pop that was heard and felt on the left driver side floor board. When it was taken for inspection, it could not be replicated. The second time it went for inspection, we were notified that it could not be replicated and if we could meet at dealer and have mechanic ride with us in order to identify the noise. During this time the tech heard the noise. We were told that the vehicle was ready for pick up and on the work order, it stated that all suspension components were torqued to spec and all lubricate points had been lubricated. The clunk is still happening when we turn left and sometimes turning right. The frequency of this pop/clunk increases as the vehicle is driven.

Replacement of rack and pinion

The dash is cracking like so many others of this model. My suburban has always been garage or carport kept and there is no reason the dash should be cracking.

Vehicle dash crached while driving, making quite a loud noise like a pop. Then the dash cracked across the right side. Previously owned 2008 suburban with a lot more cracking than this one but this one just started. The 2008 suburban actually broke into chips and would blow across a persons face while driving. I repaired it through a paint and body shop at cost of nearly $1,350.00 dollars. These dash problems are in most of suburbans and tahoes and a very serious danger to people driving these vehicles and g.m. Has not stepped up and recalled/repaired them. When someone gets a serious injury or lose an eye then maybe they will repair them but this will not return an eye, arm, leg or life due to this not repairing them.

The dash has cracked in 2 places -above the instrument panel and above the passenger side air bag.the potential for flying shards from the dash into persons after deployment of the passenger air bag is high. I request a recall to correct.my wife's 8 year old toyota sienna's dash was recalled for the same reason.

Dashboard plastic is cracking in multiple spots. Nothing specific happened to cause this damage other than normal vehicle use.

The dashboard near the passenger side airbag has split/cracked.i am concerned that it could comprise the deployment of the airbag in an accident given the location of the crack.the vehicle was less then 2 years old when the cracking began, but chevrolet would not investigate the integrity of the airbag without me incurring a cost due to being slightly past the 36k mile warranty. Upon some simple internet searching, it seems this is cracking is a common occurrence for owners of these trucks.but, no one seems to know if it will compromise the airbag deployment.i know i would prefer to not find that out in an accident and believe chevrolet should take accountability.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the passenger side of the dashboard fractured. The contact was concerned that the front passenger side air bag would deploy violently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000.

The dashboard is start cracking all over ,and it is getting worst by day. Pleaselet me know what can i do to fix this matter.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that all four door handles on the vehicle fractured without warning. The dealer diagnosed that the handles failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.

Dashboard crack

Dashboard has cracked in two places. It is an expensive repair that chevy will not stand behind. In the event of airbag deployment small pieces of plastic could fly and injure occupants.

Since i bought this vehicle back in 2014 the paint on the exterior has been flaking also the traction light and stabilitrak comes on and off the interior as well has had major issues suck as cracking of dashboard and seat i had to do an transmission job after 4 years , airbags sensor going on and off

Dashboard is cracked where dash meets passenger airbag and also on driver's side.

Paint flakes leaving vehicle looking cheap transmission burnt in 5 yrs even though proper precautions was taken to ensure no failure door trimming made out of plastic handle for using for in and outunmoveable until repairs to transmission is done

The left driver's side exterior mirror is restricted in its upward movement and will not move high enough to enable safe viewing of the blind side on the left of the car.the mirror is obstructed by the frame of the mirror assembly so it won't pivot into the frame to give a higher view.

The dashboard has cracked right next to airbag on passenger side. No accident involved. Unknown when it occurred (aka while driving or stationary). It occurred in the last week. If airbag deploys shards of plastic may become shrapnel. This vehicle only has 39k miles on it

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that all four door handles on the vehicle fractured without warning. The dash has cracks around the air bags on the left and right sides.

Vehicle only has 43,000 miles, garage kept and the dashboard is cracking and i am concerned about my safety if the airbags go off.just noticed the crack and it is growing.vehicle has never been in an accident.

The dashboard on my 2013 suburban, just out of factory warranty with 40k miles, spontaneously cracked while the vehicle was parked. This crack could potentially affect the function and/or safety of the airbag in the case of an accident or deployment. I contacted gm and they claim to know nothing about this issue and deny there is a product defect. I have since found many others online with the same problem, some of whom have filed legal action against gm for the same issue. There is also a facebook page with over 3200 members with the same problem and lack of response from gm in taking responsibility for this obviously defective and potentially dangerous product.

My dashboard has cracked above the steering wheel and by the airbag. Upon going on the internet, i have seen hundreds of people with the same cracks i have in the same places.

The cheap, weak, plastic parts inside of the handles in the driver side and passenger side armrests have broken and only the flimsy rubbery handle remains but the inside structures have broken to bits and fallen out.

The dashboard has several cracks and continues to crack further. These cracks just started to appear without incident. They cause thedash to rattle. They are also a cosmetic issue that will depreciate the value of the suburban.

Dashboard crack appeared at around 68,000 miles. No collisions or any other obvious cause. I believe gm has not fixed this issue that has plagued other gm vehicles and i believe gm knows it is faulty because they offered to fix it at half price. I fully expect to see more cracks show up and i'm concerned that an airbag deployment may cause the brittle dash to exolode.i refused the repair because this is an ongoing problem and there is no evidence gm repairs fix the problem long term. This vehicle was certified pre owned by a gm dealer when i purchased it.

Hi my 2013 chevy suburban's dash has a crack near the air bag.

I have a crack on the instrument side on dashboard like i have seen several other people have in the exact same spot. The whole dash is brittle and from what ive seen it will start cracking by the airbag system.

Crack dashboard on suburban. And it continues to crack it would be a hole right in front of the driver seat right above the curve instrument panel.

Large cracks in dash panel in front of steering column and passenger air bags developed over night. Separated section appears to vibrate withoutsupport of underlying bracket.

Cracked dash next to airbag. Occurred when parked in driveway.

At home: both front doors, built in armrests supports. Inner hard plastic arm support is broken in half.was not aware it had broken and leaned on it getting out ofthe car.when the arm rest gave away i fell out of car down to thesidewalk. My previous car was also a suburban and we neverhad this problem. I asked the body shop if it could be repairedbut they stated the whole panel would have to be replaced. Unable to take pictures due to it being in cased.

The dashboard has cracked in multiple places

Cracked dashboard, concerned about safety if airbag is activated.

In less than a month my dash has cracked in multiple places. I am concerned what impact these cracks would have with the proper deployment of my vehicle airbags.

I have a 2013 suburban with the common cracked dash issues. Mine has a major crack neat the passenger airbag, middle speaker and over the instrument panel. It came this way when i bought in on 8/29/2019 but i consider it a potential hazard if the airbag were to deploy.

Dashboard crack above instrument panel.i noticed my dashboard vibrating while driving.i discovered crack after getting parked.i feel this could be a danger in regards to air bags and unprotected instrument panel.

Dashboard cracking - started right by the passenger airbag on the dash.concerned about impact on airbag deployment.

Cracked dashboard

Cracked dash above steering wheel. Resulted from temperature changesi noticed it because it was making a sound when i was driving.

On jan. 11, 2016. I was sitting in my vehicle on a cvs parking lot when my rear hatch glass exploded. Nothing hit my glass and the surveillance video showed no one around my vehicle when this happened. I was told it could have been from the extreme cold conditions in combination with having the rear defrost on. Gm would not warrant this as a defect, and i have seen other instances that this has occurred with other people.

Dashboard has a huge crack in front of the steering wheel and in front of the passenger seat area.car was stationery when this happened.

Dashboard: large cracks developing above instrument cluster and at the right side dashboard airbag location.

My vehicle's dash has developed two cracks on top of the instrument panel near the passenger airbag and above the driver's instrument cluster consistent with the many other complaints. Leads to the failure of the dash compromising the safety of passengers should airbags deploy. In an accident, plastic shards are more likely to injure passengers. In no way can this be expected to be normal and it concerns me that our safety could be compromised.this same issue has happened on my 2010 chevrolet suburban too.

Paint flakes leaving vehicle looking cheap transmission burnt in 5 yrs even though proper precautions was taken to ensure no failure door trimming made out of plastic handle for using for in and outunmoveable until repairs to transmission is done

Common dash crack in these suburbans. Very dangerous if airbag is deployed.

Dashboard has cracked in two places. It is an expensive repair that chevy will not stand behind. In the event of airbag deployment small pieces of plastic could fly and injure occupants.

My 2013 chevrolet suburban has cracks in the dashboard in the same spots as many other people i have talked to, not only does thisdiminish the value of our vehicles the cracks around the passenger side air bag seem like it could be a danger if the air bag were to deploy possibly causing plastic shrapnel to be ejectedwith extreme force injuring or possibly killing someoneespecially considering the airbags are already under a recall for their issues they (the dash ) should be recalled

Dashboard adjacent to passenger airbag cracked spontaneously while parked at my house. Integrity of dashboard, were the airbag to deploy, is now questionable.

There is a crack in my dashboard around the passenger airbag on my 2013 suburban ltz.i am concerned that if the airbad was to deploy, pieces of plastic would become flying projectiles.the dash makes an awful rattle and is distracting to driver safety.this needs to be recalled for repair by chevrolet.

The side blind zone system is continuously on.

The dashboard in front of the driver's seat has developed a crack approximately 2-3 inches in length. The vehicle has never been involved in any type of accident or collision. The crack started about two weeks ago and has slowly increased in length. My concern is if i am in an accident this area might splinter and cause injuries.

Dash crack immediately adjacent to passenger side air bag, could cause plastic projectiles during an accident involving air bag deployment.

Within the last two months, two cracks have appeared in the dash near the passenger side airbag.

Cracked dashboard. Same two spots as thousands of other cars.right behind instrument panel and on corner of passenger airbag compartment in dash.

My vehicle's dash has developed a crack on top of the instrument panel consistent with the many other complaints. Leads to the failure of the dash compromising the safety of passengers should airbags deploy. In an accident, plastic shards are more likely to injure passengers. The vehicle is always kept in the garage. It is not a commuter vehicle used for work that sits in the sun all day long. It is a vehicle used for traveling. When outside, we have a quality sunshade that is used. I have a ten year old truck and the dash looks perfect. In no way can this be expected to be normal and it concerns me that our safety could be compromised.

Chevrolet tahoe/suburban and gmc yukon/yukon xl units with the "blind zone system" in the driver's mirror do not properly adjust.the adjustable mirror lacks the ability to aim high enough to properly see the road behind you.comparing this mirror with the standard adjustable mirrors shows that the up and travel of the mirror is limited, perhaps by components located behind the mirror.this only affects the driver mirror and not the passenger side mirror.there is no way for me to properly adjust the mirror to provide proper visibility.dealer service personnel verified the mirror and controls were not malfunctioning; it just wasn't able to adjust high enough.

The left driver's side exterior mirror is restricted in its upward movement and will not move high enough to enable safe viewing of the blind side on the left of the car.the mirror is obstructed by the frame of the mirror assembly so it won't pivot into the frame to give a higher view.
