Read complaints for CHEVROLET SUBURBAN (2012)

Dashboard has cracked in multiple places and i'm concerned this may affect safety features such as airbags.also have the same issue (but much worse) in my chevrolet avalanche.these dashboards are cheap and flimsy.

Cracked dashboard.

"service air bag" warning on dash while driving on highway. Warning has stay active since that time. No codes for explanation found.

About 6 months ago, i noticed a crack in the dashboard at the top left corner of the passenger airbag. A few days later, a small crack appeared on the driver's side over the instrument cluster. Within just a few days, that small crack grew approximately 6 inches and is now on the hump over the cluster.

I was sent a safety recall form & still haven't been notified that parts are available. I am worried because we use our family car a lot. Thank you!

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the air bag warning light intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician diagnosed an unknown plug was loose under the passengers seat. The repairs were made but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,637.

Went to buy a new suburban, found a good used one without the cracked dash. Well within 2 months we now have a crack in our dash. Were told this is a common problem and was told $1500 to fix this issue. I find it unacceptable that chevy would not take care of such a major issue with their vehicles. How are there tons of other brand vehicles without this issue? always have a sunshade on the vehicle and was it once a week. I now want to trade this for something that doesn't have such a problem. Crack looks like it could interfere with the airbag operation. Or send shards of plastic when airbag is deployed. It happened parked in our garage over night.

Severe dashboard crack and failure. Probable hazard during airbag deployment

Crackeddash car is parked with sunshade; first crack at air bag appeared within a year of purchase (was on dealer lot with no sunshade for a year - purchased march 2013)housed in garage; second crack at air bag appeared shortly after that.it was just noticed (not sure how long it had been there) the large crack at the instrument panel hump on dash board.my dash has separated in the middle from the front panel along the glass.it now vibrates and is loose.i fear if i am in a wreak and the airbag deploys shards of dash will be thrown into the air at a force to cause damage not only to front passenger & driver but to the second and third row passengers.i have had 2 previous gm vehicles (tahoe & suburban) and never had the bad quality this 2012 has had.i have also had to replace both front door exterior handles and the interior ones are broken and need to be replaced.

We received an important safety recall to replace the airbag inflator (nhtsa recall number 21v051).after taking our vehicle to the dealer, we were told that if we want the recall then we have to pay to replace our dashboard (over $1,000).the dashboard has a crack which is a common and well-known defect of gm chevrolet trucks from 07-14, but it is not part of the airbag recall.and now, gm hides behind a so-called "cosmetic" issue in our dashboard to avoid compliance with the recall.gm is not acting in good faith to remedy the defective airbag in our vehicle.we feel very unnerved to drive a vehicle with a bad airbag that gm refuses to fix without great expense.others are likely facing the same issue for this recall.

Cracked dash by instrument panel and passenger airbag.the one by the instrumental panel started off as a hairline cracked and got worse very fast. I used epoxy to try and stop the crack. The one by the airbag just appeared within the last month.

The airbag error indicator on the dash activates frequently, especially after driving several hundred miles in one day. When the error message is activated, the backup camera image is pixilated. It does not do it when the vehicle is in park. Chevrolet service technicians have been unable to recover the error code or replicate the error message. This is a continuing problem.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while standing outside of the vehicle, the side curtain air bags deployed independently without warning, while the vehicle was idle. The contact manually deflated the airbags and the vehicle was driven to mcelveen buick gmc (117 farmington rd, summerville, sc 29483) where the contact was informed that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 124,400.

My dash has cracked significantly around the main passenger airbag since about 38k miles.i have tried working with gm about getting this fixed and they will not help.the dash is so cracked that if the airbag deploys i am concerned that it would send pieces of plastic through the air and hurt/kill someone.gm told me that there was a problem with the company that made the dashes using the incorrect plastic material which has made these dashes very brittle.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while driving at 15 mph, the contact's vehicle was rear ended by another vehicle. As a result, the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000.

An airbag icon warning light keeps apprearing and disappearing on the dashboard. This has been going on for a couple of years. I believe that there is a defect in the airbag system but my vehicle does not appear to have a recall as of now. This happens almost every week at all times.

2012 chevy suburban dashboard suddenly cracked at the passenger side airbag. This a serious safety issue and needs to be fixed

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21v051000 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Over the last 6 months my dashboard has developed numerous cracks in the dashboard. There are 2 cracks at the passenger air bag cover on the top corners and a long crack on the drivers side dash above the gauge cluster going towards the windshield. I have no specific date when this has happened. I am putting in this complaint as i have seen this on multiple vehicles of the same age and looking online of all the complaints of the same.

A crack formed above the instrument console and over the top right corner of the passanger airbag on the dash. This is a serious concern if the airbag goes off there will be plastic flying all over the place. I see a history of hundrads of complaints over this exact issue.

Having issues with various warning lights will come on in the dash (seat belt, traction control, air bags), the radio will go dead and the headlights will flicker, and it loses power and steering for a few seconds. It seems to happen when i'm applying brakes or turning corners and just at random times. I'm very worried about this happening for extended periods of time, especially on hard curves when you lose power. The dealer is reporting that it is a ground cable issue and want us to cover the entire cost of repairs. Updated 09/15/15*lj

My 2012 suburban which i bought new in 2013 with 100 miles, after 3 years starting getting cracks in the dash. A month after the 3 year warranty expired. The passenger side crack runs from the air vent to the airbag door and now my service air bag light stays on. A larger crack (6+inches) has appeared on the drivers side running from the vent to the top of the steering column, if i continues the dash will completely separate in half exposing electronics, etc.

The dashboard on the passenger side next to the airbag has cracked and appears to be separating. This defect in the dashboard is directly in contact with the airbag deployment location for the front passenger.

My dash on my 2012 suburban started cracking over the passenger airbag a little over a year ago. Within the past month i have noticed 2 more cracks in my dash, one behind my steering wheel on the left side of the dash and the other is to the right of the steering wheel on the dash. I have called the local dealership and questioned if a recall has been issued for this defect since there are hundreds to thousands of other people with the same issue. I don't feel that we should be responsible for replacing the dash board cover and shelling out over $900. Especially when chevrolet is aware thatmultiple models are having the same exact issue. It's clearly a defect..

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. While driving 45 mph, the radio and dashboard lights blinked off and on and the doors locked and unlocked continuously. The contact also stated that the engine was acting like it was stalling. The contact stated that the abs worked intermittently. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over and shut it off. When the vehicle was restarted, the engine revved highly as if it were in neutral. Upon taking off, the vehicle hesitated as if it would stall again. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 103,000.

Tl -the contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle began to jerk and there was a sudden loss of acceleration power without warning. The contact mentioned that the door locks continuously began to lock and unlock as the radio shut off. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was scheduled to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 63,000. Rk

On two recent occasions my suburban has failed to start (battery dead).i went to an auto parts store, they tested the battery and said it was good.why is my battery going dead?both instances are the vehicle is set on accessories and the radio was working.in both instances the battery would not turn over the engine.

Went to put my shoes on and i saw that my front end of my truck was on fire .it had been 15 hours since i had driven the truck . There were flames coming out of the front passagner side on the grill. And engulfed the front end of my truck.

When driving the vehicle, this mostly occurs on surface streets, the stabilitrak lights will come on and then shut off.the problem has progressed and the lights will now come on and then black out the dashboard. The car has even completely lost power while driving and then come back on.this is quite terrifying!the battery has been replaced and is brand new.the only time the car lost power on the highway was when the car was moving at a slower rate of between 30-50 mph.

While just starting to accelerate, the radio shut off, the automatic locks started to go up and down, then the engine light came on and the engine stopped running.i put the truck in park, shut of the engine and restarted without issue 5 minutes later.two days later, the same thing happened, only this time, when we went to restart the truck, it seemed as though the battery was dead as no dome lights would come on and the fob would not work the door locks.3 hours later when the tow truck operator showed up, the truck started right up.this has happened 5 times since april 6th.the last time, the engine shut off as i was crossing a four lane highway.luckily, we were not hit.seeing multiple reports of the same issue make me think it is not unique to my vehicle."dead battery" that isn't dead... "locks going up and down", "sudden deceleration".does someone have to have an accident and be killed for anyone to take action on this issue??why not be proactive and start investigation before someone gets killed??

Low miles owner, garage kept, after several days of non-use, ie-parked in garage, vehicle will not start due to a dead battery.baytown (craft) dealer could find nothing wrong.current mileage 24k, still does same thing,if vehicle is not driven almost daily, the battery will go dead for zero reason and no one a chevy know why or what. Have had vehicle at dealer several times and nothing ever fixed.

Engine is consuming a large amount of oil, requiring in excess of 5 quarts to be added between 3,000 mile oil changes.

My 2012 suburban has 90,000 miles. I had the lifters and oil pump go bad in october. Two weeks later i am back in the shop because the wheel bearing has gone bad. This is not covered under warranty. Also my dash is cracking. I had a 1999 suburban and never had these problems.

The first time the incident happened my car locked and unlocked the doors while im driving and then when i parked it wont start, after 5 mins it started and i drove it to the dealership. After couple of days they said everything is fine so i drove it back home. After 3 days while im driving it at 40 m/hr it looses power and came back then when i parked it wont start again so it was towed going to the dealership and there is a grinding noise on the transmission when backing and moving it forward. But after 3 days they said everythings fine and they want me to take it home but i refused and it stays there for 3 wks, they never call me for updates, never call me back everytime i left a msg or not answer my phone call at all. Never give me a loaner car which is part of my warranty, and after 3 wks they told me to pick up my car because there is nothing to fix. And i decided to trade the car (different make) because i don't feel safe anymore, i lost a lot of money because of them being irresponsible.

While driving the car when it was cold, and running for about 10 to 15 minutes, went on the freeway and while de accelerating, the transmission jerked and lock for a brief second, and felt like someone hit you in the back with a baseball bat.it only does this when the car is started first thing in the morning or evening. When the car is cold.this gives a false sense of breaking while exiting a freeway as the transmission locks and feels like it is going to lock all the gears and throw you into the windshield. It is like a roller coaster ride at end and throwing you forward. Or like someone hit you with a baseball bat.dealer unable to fix problem to the dealer and they tried to reprogram the transmission it did not work.still having issues and subaru of america told me, that they have many technical issues with the power train and not sure which issue this applied to.

The transmission struggles to switch gears properly. It is more noticeable in the city rather than the highway. However, the slight hills make it worse.

Transmission failure< 150,000 miles!! well maintained. Left us stranded on off ramp i-78.!!!cracked dash electrical problem. Check engine light.

When the car is cold and went on the freeway and after about 20 to 30 minutes of driving when exiting the freeway, the transmission, makes a clunk sound and downshifts and jerks the whole car and it feels like you are going through the windshield and causes whiplash like effects. Like someone hit you in the back with a baseball bat.took car in to subaru dealer they tried reprogramming but it did not work.this is a very serious safety issue that needs to be addressed and subaru does not have any answers.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the seat belt would not latch. The dealer diagnosed that there was wear and tear on the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 76,000.

2012 ltz 4wd suburban, noticed a faint hot smell, thought it was the engine, took it in for an oil change on new years eve 2018 ( we had lost an engine in previous suburban not taking chance) told by mechanic alloy wheels are hot, took to gm dealer, front wheel hub needed replaced, took to local garage for repair, garage told us brakes, caliphers, rotors be replaced due to caliphers being closed. They had hard time bleeding the lines, also replaced master cylinder, drove for few days short distance when front brakes caught fire, without warning, towed back to garage, they could not find cause, replaced brakes and rotors, drove for a week happened again, towed back to garage, they took to gm garage who replaced brake sensor, drove for few days locked up again kids in car, had towed to another gm dealer, told brake system tested normal to replace abs computer module, drove 2 weeks locked up again with kids in car, towed back to gm dealer, we were told by gm it was at risk of loss of life or catastrophic injury and they were sending tech, till we did not put gm brake pads, possible replacement of brake system could fix but not guaranteed. Gm dealer had suburban 2/19-9/9/19 and it still is locking up without defined cause. I have been without vehicle this whole time & still owe on the vehicle. It was taken back to chevy dealer 10/26/19 after locking up again. There are no warning lights, the brakes lock up. There have been 2 major gm recalls regarding 2014+ suburbans my issues are very similar regarding the braking system and even more severe. Had we been on busier roads we would have had an accident. We went to gm corp. / gm dealer lied to gm corp. We have vms to prove. Over $3k put into the vehicle and it still is not fixed, the brake system is $4k & that has not been proven to be the diagnosis. Vehicle not drivable. Pics from 1/27/19 incident, fire / smoke visable,

Takata recall dash cracked at passanger side airbag. After research online i found this is a common problem and chevy will not take responsibility for it. I have friends that have the same dashes in same year model in 2 silverado's 1 suburban and 1 tahoe and all have cracked in the same spot. The suburban dash was replaced under warranty and cracked again. My dealer said it was old and not under warranty so thwy will not fix it. My vehical dash cracked right out of warranty and has been taken very good care of. I do not expect a $52,000 vehical to have a dash crack and chevy not to stand behind their product. They have a problem in the structure of the dash and need to take responsibility and fix it. It concerns me since the crack is at the air bag. I am not sure if when the air bag deploys it could bring a piece kf the dash with it.

Went to put my shoes on and i saw that my front end of my truck was on fire .it had been 15 hours since i had driven the truck . There were flames coming out of the front passagner side on the grill. And engulfed the front end of my truck.

3 large cracks on dash. Going from windshield to dash. If i ever need to have work done under dash, dash will fall apart. 3 cracks appeared for no know reason.

I have 2012 chevy suburban 1500 lt.the rear tailgate unlock and lock intermittently causing the manual liftgate to stay ajar or stay lock.there is no manual release or key access.it only unlocks and lock by keyfob. On one occasion, the liftgate opened without noticed while driving prompting the car alert.it was then closed and the liftgate stayed in the lock position (unable to unlock with keyfob)after diagnosis at a local gmc dealer, it was determined that the rear liftgate lock actuator failed.the repair was in excess of $400.00

Dashboard is cracking. I understand the class action was dismissed. But this is so unfair that the customers have to pay to fix for problem caused by material problem.

Cracked dash by instrument panel and passenger airbag.the one by the instrumental panel started off as a hairline cracked and got worse very fast. I used epoxy to try and stop the crack. The one by the airbag just appeared within the last month.

I got in my car saturday morning, october 1 and noticed 2 cracks on the driver's side of my dash board. Upon research i have discovered this is not an isolated incident. I am concerned about the safety of having this get larger and exposing electrical/mechnical components and the sharp edges of the cracked plastic should an accident occur. When i contacted chevrolet they explained to me that they couldn't help because i am not the first owner of the vehicle which is really irrelevant when you have a whole fleet of vehicles experiencing this problem.

Cracking dashboard poses a safety threat to people inside the vehicle as well the driver in lack of deployment of the front airbags.has happened on multiple vehicles of this year.

Severely cracked dash

Dash has cracked in two places: one above the instrument cluster and second on the passenger front airbag.the dash has never been cleaned with chemicals nor has it been struck with any object.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. While driving at approximately 65 mph, there was a loud pop that came from the dashboard. The contact observed that there was a large crack on the front passenger side dashboard near the air bag. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,553.

Two cracks developed, one above the instrument cluster and the other is in the corner of the passenger side airbag.cracks are continuing to expand.

Dash board cracking next to airbag and above instrument panel.cracking begin end of 2017 and has gotten progressively worse.i uploaded 2 images.

Dashboard has crack above gauge cluster on driver side and also cracked on passenger side at corner of airbag area. With dashboard crack near airbag i believe it could send shards of sharp plastic at passenger if airbag were to go off.

There are 2 large cracks on the dashboard one running longitudinally on axis of steering column and another spreading forward toward driver side on forward driver corner of passenger airbag cutout radiused corner. I was warned after i purchased vehicle that it was a safety hazard in event of airbag deployment. I am reporting the date as the date i purchased vehical but crack was present prior to that date for an undetermined period of time.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the passenger side dashboard fractured. The fracture span across the passenger side air bag housing and above the instrument panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 19,152.

Interior driver door handle "grab bar" is broken.rigid plastic pieces under the upholstery broke and now the handle is falling apart and loose.this is an integral part of the armrest. Handle broke using normal closing force, and apparently this is a large, well known problem.chevrolet has no repair for this problem other than replacing the whole interior door panel and the cost is around $600.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the vehicle's front doors were equipped with a plastic part on the inside of the door, which assisted with the doors being able to securely close. The contact stated that the part number for the driver side was 84053434 and 84053436 for the passenger side. The parts detached from the vehicle, causing the doors not to close properly and remain closed. The contact called autonation chevrolet amarillo (2200 i-40 east, amarillo, tx 79103; 806-553-5681) where it was diagnosed that the door handles needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and stated that due to the vehicle exceeding the warranty mileage, they were unable to provide a free repair. The manufacturer opened case number: 8/339/520-5303. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

On 9/23/12 while changing a flat, it was discovered that the spare tire has rubbing on the side walls. The spare tire has never been used as we just bought the vehicle new. Brought this to the attention of the dealership on 9/24/12 as to how we should secure the spare without causing rubbing again. They advised they would look into it and call us back. Still have not heard anything. Concerned with continued rubbing on the side walls if we should ever need to use the spare again as it can blow out.

Purchased in 2014, four separate cracks have appeared in the dash board, two on driver side and two onthepassenger sides. The larges crack is on the driver's side, directly about the speedometer and the other is at the edge of the driver's side windshield .the passenger side cracks is where the airbag is installed.

Transmission failure< 150,000 miles!! well maintained. Left us stranded on off ramp i-78.!!!cracked dash electrical problem. Check engine light.

The top dash board in front of driver seat and the passenger seat has cracked and i have read the it could possibleaffect the airbag. The crack on the driver side is about 12 inches and the passenger side is about 6 inches. The vehicle was park at my house when i notices these cracks.

Two large cracks in the dash. One over the drivers side instrument panel the other next to the passengers side air bag.

There is a crack in passenger side of the front dashboard immediately adjacent to the airbag compartment.upon airbag deployment, this will be a jagged projectile in the car.

Front dashboard is cracking around instrumental panel and around drivers side airbags.

Dashboard has cracked.vehicle was stationary. I'm concerned that in the event of an accident, sharp plastic pieces could be dangerous.

The dashboard on the passenger side next to the airbag has cracked and appears to be separating. This defect in the dashboard is directly in contact with the airbag deployment location for the front passenger.

Fldoor ,pull handle gets broken real easy and every time we need to change the whole door panel.the door pull handle material is poor and after few times pulling the door it gets broken.we have heard same story from lots suburban or tahoe owners.

While driving on the highway i hear a pop and notice a piece missing out of my dash above the airbag and then begin to notice the crack in the dashboard run across the dash to the drivers side. I have noticed other complaints about gm dashboard and believe this is a safety hazard due to the crack being at the airbag and running all the way across the dashboard. If the airbag deployed it could send half of the dashboard into the front seats of the vehicle.

Dashboard has cracked in multiple places and i'm concerned this may affect safety features such as airbags.also have the same issue (but much worse) in my chevrolet avalanche.these dashboards are cheap and flimsy.

Cracked front dash.on the morning of november 11th, got into vehicle and the dash was cracked.

The dashboard on this vehicle has cracked.the crack started behind the steering column and is now cracked over the passenger side airbag.should there be an accident, and the airbag deploys, the possibility of injury from the dashboard is significant.this is a defect in manufacting, and should be repaired at expense of gm

Dashboard started cracking

Cracking dashboard needs replacement, i have replaced our cracking dashboard and would like to receive some type of compensation for my expense. This is an issue that is ongoing with all of these types of vehicles.

Cracked dashboard above the instrument cluster and around the passenger side airbag.

The dash of my vehicle cracked when it was only 3 years old and now the crack is even larger.

Severe dashboard crack and failure. Probable hazard during airbag deployment

A crack formed above the instrument console and over the top right corner of the passanger airbag on the dash. This is a serious concern if the airbag goes off there will be plastic flying all over the place. I see a history of hundrads of complaints over this exact issue.

When trying to start put suv the key gwys stuck and won't turn after this started happening our stability control sensor started going off. It used to turn off one u shut off the sub but not it's always on. And the key won't turn unless u wiggle it.

Dashboard has slowly started cracking. Car is garage kept and not driven in extreme conditions to warrant such distress on the dashboard

2012 chevy suburban dashboard suddenly cracked at the passenger side airbag. This a serious safety issue and needs to be fixed

Cracked dashboard.

The front has a large crack which is getting worse every day.causing the dash to rattle constantly event at slow speeds.

Cracked dashboard........i have contacted gm about this issue.i have researched to find out that this is not an isolated problem.there are literally thousands of customers with this issue.the issue is even in the same place as well.gm has declined to replace my dashboard or even declined assist me in any form with the replacement of my dashboard.

Several crackes have appeared in the top section of dashboard

When my chevrolet suburban 2012 is locked using the key fob or remote start, a person inside the car cannot unlock the doors or tailgate from the inside (via the door unlock buttons near the door handles or the tailgate button) to get out of the car.example, parent accidentally leaves child in car, exits car, uses fob to lock doors; child now cannot unlock the door or tailgate using the unlock buttons by the door handles nor by using the tailgate open button.the person inside the car is locked inside and cannot exit if they do not have a key with which to turn on the car or a fob with which to unlock the car.when the car is locked with the fob a person inside the car cannot get out of the car using any button or handle inside the car.this occurred when the vehicle was parked and the ignition off.two adults tested this multiple times and tried all possibilities to unlock and get out of the car from the inside when it had been locked by fob or remote start.i have a video demonstrating this which i am happy to share, but believe that i cannot upload below as it is not one of the permitted formats.

2012 chevrolet suburban, dash board cracking around passenger airbag, dash rattles and vibrates while driving, cracks appearing without apparent cause all around the passenger air bag, i am concerned that if the air bag deploys the dashboard will become fragmented and launch plastic shrapnel into the face of the front passenger and driver, in my view this is a highly dangerous situation where the dashboard can cause serious injury and potential disability and potentially blind the front seat passenger and driver. Gm needs to address this issue as soon as possible as there re literally thousands of gm vehicles all with the same related problem of cracking dashboards

Dash cracking - multiple places

The dash is cracked on the both windshield-edge corners of the passenger-side airbag cover and broken over the driver-side instrument cluster. The driver-side breakage has spread from the windshield inside edge to up and over the instrument cluster. It has been glued and patched but has continued to disintegrate and is now completely broken. This vehicle has been driven on road and highway. The dash has been cracking and breaking over a period of 5 years.

About 6 months ago, i noticed a crack in the dashboard at the top left corner of the passenger airbag. A few days later, a small crack appeared on the driver's side over the instrument cluster. Within just a few days, that small crack grew approximately 6 inches and is now on the hump over the cluster.

Have p275/55 r20 bridgestone dueler h/l alenza tires with 25,600 miles on them, 10/32 of tread left and the dry rotting is horrible especially around the rim!contacted bridgestone directly to see if they had any active recalls and was basically brushed off as an ozone problem. The lady said bridgestone had no recalls on any of there tires. Very disappointed in bridgestone and concerned this could lead to a very bad blowout.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the tires constantly became flat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer stated that the aluminum wheels were corroded and would not hold the bead that held pressure in the tire. The dealer stated the rims would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.
