I own a 2011 chevrolet suburban with the gm recall #2049151/nhtsa #16v381. I have contacted my local dealer by email and phone calls for an appointment for repair and i keep getting told "there are no parts for the repair at this time, and you will be connected when they are." my wife and four little children ride in this vehicle daily. I have worked at various buick, chevrolet, and gmc dealership over 10 years, and have never seen recalls take this long to resolve.

I have been trying to get the airbag replaced for over a year.the dealers i have contacted continually tell me they cannot get the airbags.i have contacted 3 dealers and made contact in excess of 10 times trying to get the recalled airbag replaced.please help before an injury occurs!

Takata recall _ my airbags have been recalled but no one has contacted me to fix them and the dealership said they can't fix them with out the parts. I need help.

Although gm says that the truck is safe, i feel that driving a potentially lethal truck with defective airbags, whose condition is made much worse because of the heat and humidity of sw florida, i do not feel it is safe at all.

My 2011 chevrolet suburban 1500 lt (in excellent shape) has multiple drivers side dashboard cracks and these cracks may affect airbag deployment by cutting the airbag if deployed possibly causing airbag failure when needed.on 6/23/15, attempted to have manufacturer (gm) replace the dashboard (thru local dealer - banner chevrolet, new orleans).dealer told me that gm would share the cost of replacement?my share would be approximately $500?why would gm share the cost of replacement, unless they are aware of a hereditary engineering design flaw causing the dashboards to crack ultimately interferring with the proper deployment and use of the airbag?

There is a recall with takata airbag and chevrolet has not furnished a replace the part or fix in a timely manner.second issue is with dashboard cracking. My suburban sits under ourcarport 99% of the time, but yet has a few cracks on the dash. Third issue is corrosion in the undercarriage, and i live in deep south texas where it does not snow, and the beach is 1.5 hours away from where i live.this vehicle sits on just over 40k miles.

I bought a gm certified suburban and less than two weeks later the dashboard cracked behind the airbag.i called the dealer and gm and alertedthem to the problem and told them i felt unsafe driving the vehicle with my children in the vehicle.i feel that if that airbag deploys it could send that sharp piece of broken plastic flying through my car.they will not fix the dashboard without me paying for it and said it is not a common complaint people are having. However, everyone i have talked to with a suburban, tahoe, or pick up truck between the years of 2007-2013 is experiencing the same crack in the same place near that airbag.gm needs to fix these before innocent people get hurt.

This is a florida vehicle where heat and humidity (the major factors identified with failures of these airbags/inflators) can cause my suburban to be a high risk to me and my family. We submitted for this recall in 2016 and have yet to be contacted on status or estimated time for the parts/procedures to be ready to complete this repair. As gm disagrees with this recall, they appear to be stalling in hopes that the vehicles will justbe retired before they have to repair them. We shouldn't have to wait until people die for the nhtsa to force the hand on gm to implement this recall.

The dash is cracked around the corner of the passenger airbag.in the event of an airbag deployment, the cracked dash could become a projectile and cause harm to occupants.

Air bag for this 2011 suburban has been in recall for 9 years with "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available". I think 9 years for a recall solution is enough time - especially when there is no way to disable the air bags.please tell me what my recourse is when a family member is killed by shrapnel.

Important safety recall notice submitted to notify me of the important recall for my vehicle.general motors has been unable to solve the problem, nor replace or fix the issue.(id# 16v381). My other vehicle, of a different manufacturer, was quickly corrected and made safe.it is completely unacceptable for gm to leave this issue for so long unresolved.notice was mailed july 2016, it is now november 2019.more than 3 years for a repair of propellant that may degrade causing the inflators to "rupture during deployment, causing serious or fatal injuries." this is unacceptable.three years is unacceptable for gm to delay.

There are two cracks in the dashboard, one over the driver console and one on the top left of passenger airbag....nothing has occurred to cause these cracks, but i am afraid if airbag is deployed, the dash will break up and hurt us.

In september 2014, i noticed my dash above the instrument cluster cracking. I purchased this car as a gm certified used car with original factory warrantee in april 2013 with 60081 miles on it. In less than 5 months of ownership it developed this crack while still under factory warrantee. I took it to my local dealer with all my paperwork and they said it was not covered, nor would they replace it.this crack has developed due to no fault of my own from neglect, excess wear and tear, excess sunlight or anything other than manufacture flaw. This crack has continued to spread and due to the thin and sharp nature of the plastic, if i were to get into an accident, this would splinter and act like shrapnel within the cabin. My family's life is danger due to this fact and gm refuses to acknowledge this is an issue. Please look into this as i know many others have the same issue with even 2015 models. I am asking for the safety of my family and yours.

Takata recallno gm dealer is able to replace it.each one is saying that there is no replacement

The airbags on my 2011 chevy suburban have almost never worked since owning the vehicle. It has been to multiple shops for the airbags and not one has been able to fix it. They all have gotten it to go away for a day or two but not a single dealership has been able to fix it. The vehicle is unsafe and i'm stuck with it. The vehicle only has 60,000ish miles but has no value due to this issue.

I have received a recall from gm concerning a defect in the takata air bag which could cause injury or death if deployed.there does not appear to be a resolution at this point for repair or replacement.i am concerned about injury to my family.

I'm writing this complaint because gm has yet to issue a solution for the recall on the airbags. When will gm issue the fix, with all these new recalls coming out on the takata air bags i am deeply concerned with why this issue hasn't been addressed with my vehicle.

The dashboard is cracking above the steering wheel and also on the passenger side near the airbag.

The vehicle dashboard has developed major cracks in two places.one crack is adjacent to the passenger side air bag.the other crack is above the steering column.i am concerned that the entire dashboard will become shrapnel if the airbag system was to deploy.additionally, the entire dashboard "flaps" when the vehicle is moving.

We were on a two lane road heading westbound. East bound vehicle crossed center strip striking our front drivers side of vehicle. We were on a curve in the road, traveling approx 40-45mph while other vehicle was traveling the same mph if not more. Our vehicle sustained frame damage to the front drivers side as well as all airbags deploying except passenger side airbag/in seat airbag. Airbags that did deploy include: steering wheel, drivers curtain, drivers side airbag/seat, passenger dash board, passenger curtain, middle row curtains (both sides), 3rd row curtains (both sides). Passenger sitting in front seat is an adult and large enough that the airbag should have deployed.attached are pictures to show all airbags in front row, as well as vehicle damage and police report. I have additional photos to show the rest of the airbags if needed.

Dash cracking around airbag housing

Takata recall - i have been waiting for the dealers to contact me ever since the recall was announced. I have called 4 dealers in my area every month with each time being told we're working on it. I've got young children who sit in the 2nd row and am pregnant, due in october. Will there by any movement regarding this recall? it is worrisome that it seems to have slowed if not, stopped.

My dashboard is cracked over the steering wheel but most people are complaining of the dash being cracked around the airbag.gm refuses to repair.

Dashboard cracking potentially affecting the use of the airbag and the electrical components under the dashboard on the drivers side.

Takata recallabout 2 years ago, i received a card informing me about the air bag inflators being defective.i called the dealer that i bought the vehicle from and they transferred me to parts department.upon stating they had not received the replacement parts, they advised to call back later.this has been going on for 2 hears but they state the parts have not come in. I do not feel comfortable driving myself or putting my family for trips in the suburban without replacing the air bags.

Dashboard has cracked without any intervening event. One crack on the right passenger side of the dashboard is directly on the top left side of the passenger airbag. I'm afraid if airbag was deployed shards of plastic would become projectiles or possibly interfere with the airbag operation. Another crack on top of dashboard is on the drivers side on the top left side of the instrumentation cluster is more than 5.5 to 6 inches long.

The rear lift gate on my 2011 suburban has begun to spontaneously close on its own. It knocked my husband down over the weekend and conked me on the head yesterday while i was parked and loading groceries- glad i didn't need stitches! this is a very dangerous situation and i hope chevrolet will work to rectify it. A quick internet search will tell you that many, many people are having the same problem with suburbans and other chevy models.

1.)when we were driving thru the mountains our electrical system started to go haywire and the lights started going in and out and the ignition started to act up car turned off a few times we had to restart it when we brought it to the dealership to get checked out they said there was coins in the radio. 2.) the defrosters for the front windshield doesn't defrost the window at all when driving in cold days the whole window fogs up and freezes making visibility to none and we have to stop wipe down the wind shield and drive again for ten minutes then this problem goes on and on the heater goes on full blast but no resultsthat is a very unsafe and un drivable at times.coins in the radio? i was astonished and very upset how could an industry make a vehicle that if water is spilled on/or in the radio or coins dropped in the cd compartment that the whole electrical system goes out and starts going haywire especially here in alaska a lot snow and harsh winter driving conditions are not great and if the vehicle stalls do to the radio and defrosters not working or someone spilled something on the radio then the people and children would freeze to death then who would be at fault that means the company that makes the vehicle is gonna be liable for the consequences the defrosters not working doesn't help any we have to drive thru this weather out here 9months out of the year and have to suffer because of these situations that is inexcusable and very dangerous topublic this needs to be fixed and resolved.we took it to the dealership a few times but the problem still consists doing the horrible dangerous things that the suburban does we have another appointment to take the vehicle in again because the radio is acting up again and defrosters are acting up this is a defect and needs to be fixed.

Engine was idling low and hesitating at low speeds, then engine started running rally rough.service engine light came on,changed gas in vehicle, problem continued.engine running really rough and service stabilitrack light came on. Took truck to dealership and was told the first spark plug was fouled due to oil contamination and that engine and fuel injectors and throttle body needed cleaning.this cost $475 and was not covered by warranty.

While driving on the highway i was using the cruise control and the car began to increase in speed without my control. It went from 65 to 90 in a few seconds and i had to slam on the breaks to get it to stop. This has happened several times. Also we can never let the gas get lower then a quarter of a tank or the car just shuts down like its empty. Sometimes the engine will just rev up for no reason and other times it doesn't accelerate properly. You can push the gas and it feels like the speed is delayed but then will catch up.

Excessive oil consumption

Engine idling low, hesitant at low speeds.changed gas, no change in how the truck was running. Engine light came on, took to dealership. Replaced spark plug that was misfiring due to oil contamination. Cleaned fuel injectors and throttle body, replaced valve cover to prevent this from occurring a third time (has happened twice already and in the last nine months).total repair $1173. Not covered by warranty.

Excessive oil consumption. I see this is a common problem on gm vehicles and it affects both my 2011 suburban and 2012 silverado with 5.3 flex fuel engines. The suburban is more noticeable since we use it for long road trips. The truck is mostly city driving. I believe this to be caused by the afm and pcv. I will be installing the upgraded valve cover in hopes of preventing a major engine failure in the future. It would be nice if gm recalled these engines with an adequate fix. I only notice burning oil on startup coming from the exhaust. Current mileage on the suburban is 104,000. I have not touched anything in the engine bay or cable covers yet. Please respond quickly if i should not. Thank you, [xxx]redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

Fuel level sensor failed causing fuel transfer pump to overfill front fuel tank. Causing front fuel tank to expand and develop a fuel leak.

Engine light on-diagnosis p0455. Last 2yrs took to many repair shops. Replaced, gas cap, purge valve, canister valve, charcoal canister. Took to chevy. They replaced purge valve because they said other mechanics used non chevy parts. Engine light came back on. Chevy did smoke test and swore it was the fuel sensor cost $1200+. Engine light back on after a week. Another smoke test and now pressure test blew a small section of fuel tank where it now leaks. Chevy said the seal most likely not seated properly and i need a new fuel tank about $1000. But they can't guarantee this is the cause of the engine light. I can't afford another $1000 especially if this doesnt solve the problem. Already spent thousands fixing different parts. Vehicle gets about 12mpg and has in the past lost power while driving as if not enough fuel is getting through but that hasnt happened in some time. Wonder if anyone else having this p0455 issue?

Additionally, all four children had become asphyxiated by the fumes. Two of the four children were transported to the hospital where it was discovered that the children's asthma reacted to the overpowering odor, and were given medication for treatment. The vehicle was taken to one dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear differential fluid had overheated. The vehicle was taken to another dealer for the repairs where the technician stated that there was no failure and no repairs were performed. The contact also experienced rapid acceleration failure while sitting at a traffic stop. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer ten times yet the failure was unable to be replicated each time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 400 and the current mileage was 55,000. The vin was not available.

This is becoming a recurring and reproducible problem.the unintended acceleration occurs while slowing down for a stop sign and depressing the brake pedal.the most reliable way to reproduce the problem is as follows.be driving about 15 miles per hour, up a slight slope. Move your foot off the accelerator pedal and on to the brake pedal.depress the brake lightly.just as the vehicle starts to slow down you will feel the acceleration of the engine as if the vehicle is attempting to maintain the 15 mile per hour previous speed.this unexpected response will last about two seconds and then return to normal (idle) condition.this sudden and unexpected behavior is very unnerving and could lead to an accident if the road conditions were to be slippery.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet suburban. While driving approximately 45 mph, the brakes failed to stop the vehicle when the brake pedal was depressed. In addition, the traction control warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and was driven to the contact's residence. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (manassas chevrolet, 8000 sudley rd, manssas, va) where it was diagnosed that the front and rear brake lines collapsed and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was called and a voice message was left, but the contact had not received a call back. The failure was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.updated 11/01/17*lj

Unsafe to drive specially driving over 40 miles

I have noticed that when decelerating & applying my brakes when approaching a stop that my vehicle actually will accelerate all of the sudden.this has happened on several occasions, not always, but enough for me to be concerned.my daughter also experienced this sudden acceleration when she was driving my suburban.she, like me, said it happened when she was approaching a stop sign and was applying brake pressure.this should be investigated.

My break lights wont work , dealer states its computer . I had the truck 3 years. I had no idea i had no break lights till i took the truck for inspection

The contact owns a 2001 chevrolet suburban. While driving down a mountain at an unknown speed, the brake lines fractured. The contact had to apply force to the brake pedal because the vehicle drove through a stop sign. The contact was able to coast the vehicle into a parking lot. The dealer (dean patterson chevrolet, 101 pleasant valley blvd, altoona, pa 16602, (814) 942-2222) was contacted and indicated that there was extensive rust and corrosion, and the brake lines needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet surbuban. The contact stated that the front section of the dashboard cracked in six places. Also, while driving at any speed, the steering wheel shook. The contact stated that there were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 72,000.

Dashboard has a crack by airbag and another is starting on top of steering wheel and is spreading.never used any products on dash just damp cloth to dust. Worried if airbag deploys sharp objects from dash will cause injury.

The dashboard is cracked and was already cracked when we bought the car.

A small crack began on the driver side of dash board.within weeks, the crack became much bigger.after two more weeks, inoticed another crack on the passenger side of the dash. Soon, it became much larger too.now, there are several cracks on the dashboard.this automobile was not involved in any type of accident or driving on rough terrain.i don not understand why the dashboard would crack.i have never owneda vehicle which has had this happen.

Dashboard cracked above instrument panel and airbag.

I have a large crack in the dashboard over top of the instrument cluster. I don't know how or when it occurred. I first noticed it in the beginning of october, 2014. Because of its location it is not easily visible and it's possible it may have been there for some time.i found this is a common problem with gm products and gm refuses to address the issue. I went to my local dealer about it and they told me it's not covered under the extended warranty i purchased. I feel this is a safety issue due to the potential further deterioration while operating the vehicle.

We own a 2011 chevy suburban and one day noticed two cracks on our dashboard.one crack leads straight into the passenger air bag and the other crack is over the dash console on the driver side.because our suburban is out of the 36k mile warranty we were referred to gm.we called gm and were told that we would have to pay $450.00 out of our pocket to get it fixed.we are very concerned that either 1) the air bag may not deploy in case of an accident or 2) that it will deploy on its own while we are driving.we are very disappointed that gm is not willing to stand behind their product and replace at no cost as this is clearly either a manufacturer defect or a poor quality product.

There are two cracks in the dashboard, one over the driver console and one on the top left of passenger airbag....nothing has occurred to cause these cracks, but i am afraid if airbag is deployed, the dash will break up and hurt us.

The dash board is cracked around the airbag posing a hazard if deployed.

I have one large spider crack above the instrument cluster and another crack next to the passenger side air bag in the dashboard.this poses a very like impediment to the safety and function of the airbags in a wreck.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet suburban. Upon starting the vehicle, the dashboard started to shake independently. After inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that there were two cracks of significant size on the bottom part of the dashboard. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,300.

Dash spontaneously cracked at the airbag panel and over the instrument panel in 2011 suburban with 39,000 miles.garage stored.i have concern about the airbag deployment safety with this crack.a search on-lne reveals this is a very big problem for many chevy and gmsuburban/tahoe owners.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the dashboard was cracked on the driver and passenger sides where the air bags were located. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The dashboard is cracking above the steering wheel and also on the passenger side near the airbag.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that while stopped with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle lurched forward. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician was unable to duplicate the failure. Additionally, the rear lift gate closed on its own while the contact was standing underneath. The contact sustained bruising to her face. Also, the contact stated the vehicle hesitated to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 23,000.

Dash cover cracks present a potential safety hazard in the event of crash/collision with or without airbag deployment due to sharp flying debris. Dash is constructed of hard plastic that fractures in normal use/wear which results sharp and potentially dangerous projectiles.

The dash above the instrument panel is cracked.

Cracked dashboard adjacent to airbag. This could cause a hazard when/if airbag is deployed.

Dashboard cracked while parked and these cracks have spread to become very large over short period of time.large crack is above instrument panel and another is near passenger airbag.the dashboard is unstable between these two points and this could be potential safety hazard as dash could crack or splinter if airbag deployed causing injury to the passengers.dashboard has been protected in garage or with sun deflector during ownership so dashboard cracks would be defect vs. Element related.

Very concerned that the cracks on the dashboard started around the passenger airbag and now have spread all the way across to the dial area. From what i have read it seems this is a happening to a lot of the gm/chevy vehicles and is a problem gm should really issue a recall to fix. Are they waiting for someone to die when a airbag deploys and the sharp plastic the cracks are making immediately deflates the airbag and it is useless? step-up gm and issue the recall and fix the problem before it is too late and someone dies.

My 2011 chevrolet suburban with about 85,000 miles on it has recently developed cracks in the dash.one at the rear left corner of the passenger-side airbag section, and another behind the instrument cluster on the driver side.the car is in immaculate condition other than the dash.its an eye-sore to see these cracks every day.had these cracks been there a year ago when we bought the car, we probably would not have bought it.its sad to see that this is a systemic problem on all vehicles of this make/model/year range.

Interior dash board is cracking near air bag, several places on vehicle

Driving with a travel trailer in tow in i-81 in ny on 6/15/16 we suddenly had extreme sway.my car/trailer had very good hitch/anti-sway devices.without much notice, i lost control.i believe the frame supporting the hitch receiver failed causing a bad accident resulting in total loss of our tow vehicle and our airstream 25 foot travel trailer.i am a very experienced driver with this combination of tow vehicle, travel trailer, and hitch configuration.the onset and magnitude of the sway (violent) caused me to lose control as we were going 65 mph on the interstate highway.i have towed this same configuration for tens of thousands of miles with no instances of problems.something drastic happened! i was passing a slow moving car , so was in the right lane heading south when i started to sway.i reached for the brake controller in an attempt to apply the trailer brakes. The sway drastically accelerated to the extent i was unable to reach the brake controller due to the violent motion.within a few seconds, my vehicle came to rest against the guardrail on theright side of the highway (heading north) with the trailer jacknifed/perpendicular to the guardrail such that i was blocking both lanes of the highway. I examined the hitch and trailer coupling and all seemed normal except for damage from the crash.the hitch frame of the suburban was torn and totally ripped from the vehicle on one side.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet suburban. The contact stated that the dashboard exhibited cracks that originated on the driver side and became progressively worse. In addition, the passenger side air bag seam was cracked. The vehicle was taken to two different dealers who stated that the entire dashboard would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.

Dashboardis cracking since 8/19/2016. No accident or rough driving. Ashpalt and concrete driving only

Dashnoard is cracking for no reason at all . They all have this issue . Poorly made . In a airbag deployment it can shatter and you will have shards of plastic flying everywhere.the issue happens over time . Some sooner then others.

Dashboard cracking potentially affecting the use of the airbag and the electrical components under the dashboard on the drivers side.

The dashboard is cracking above the steering wheel and also on the passenger side near the airbag.

Cracked dash on my 2011 chevy suburban. The cracks extended the length of the dash and up and around the pasasnger airbag

The dash is cracking by the airbag. The same exact thing happened with my 2006 tahoe.there is a facebook page with over 3000 people with the same issue - in addition to a news segment that was recently covered.it is a major issue that gm is not taking responsibility.the facebook page is "07-13 gm cracked dash safety hazard for all trucks"

The dashboard is cracked above the instrument cluster/steering wheel -this poses a safety hazard with the airbags and potential debris in theevent of an accident - hearda noise and noticed the crack on 11/9/2018.

Within less that two years the dash started cracking in multiple places. It has continued until the cracks have spanned the entire length of the dash in in multiple places running from front to rear. While driving the pieces of the dash continually vibrate and flex. The dealer will not accept responsibility or provide warranty coverage.

The dashboard is cracked and was already cracked when we bought the car.

The dashboard on my vehicle is cracking in two different places. One area is right in front of the drivers seat and the other is in front of the passengers seat where the front airbag is located. I just noticed this problem on november 18, 2018.

Several cracks on the dashboard that covers the air bag assemblyconcerned that if the airbag deploys that the plastic from the dashboard willcause bodily harm

Got in my suv this morning to leave for work andnoticed a huge crack middle way of the dash coming up to the top hump where controls are located.as i have researched i see there are many complaints regarding this issue.when paying over $30,000.00 for a vehicle, you should not have to be reporting cracks on your dash.i feel this may cause an issue with airbags going off as they should if ever in an accident.this should most definitely be repaired by gm asap. If there are this many issues with all gm makes then there is obviously a problem that needs to be addressed.

I was driving on a nicely paved road (no bombs, potholes, etc...) when all of a sudden my dashboard cracked!it is now rattling and jiggling and causes a distraction to my line of sight as i'm driving.i went to my dealership and was told that it is not covered under my warranty and i will have to pay the whole amount out of pocket to have it repaired.

Cracked dash above the instrument panel and passenger side airbag.this poses a safety issue.my dash is crack so badly, i'm afraid the airbag will come out on its own.it is downright negligent that someone will have to get seriously injured or killed before this problem is taken seriously.

The dashboard cap cracked for no reason at the corner of the airbag and above the instrument panel. If the airbag deploys there will be plastic from the dashboard cap blown all over the interior of the cabin during an accident.

Cracked dashboard. The dashboard is cracked on the passenger side from the airbag towards the windshield and on the drivers side started at the seam and is creeping toward the steering wheel above the speedometer.

Dashboard has a crack by airbag and another is starting on top of steering wheel and is spreading.never used any products on dash just damp cloth to dust. Worried if airbag deploys sharp objects from dash will cause injury.

The dash in our 2011 chevy sububan ltz is cracked at the airbag. I strongly believe this is a gm defect that if the airbag deployed it could be dangerous and project pieces of the dash. This needs to be looked into further.

While driving on the freeway at about 60 mph, my suburban started to stall without warning, no lights appeared on my dash.locks, radio and front lights started to go off and on and a completeloss of acceleration happened.when completely stopped the issue resolved.still no indicators of anything wrong on my dash, proceeded to move the car out of the freeway and the same thing happened.minutes later the car acted normal again. This could cause an accident.

Cracked dashboard

The dash has developed 2 cracks similar to that reported by other owners.the first crack is in the upper left corner of the passenger air bag.the second crack is from the lower left of the speaker.if in an accident, dash pieces could break off and become flying projectiles.

Dashboard cracking at passenger side airbag and driver side above speedometer

Dashboard has cracked without any intervening event. One crack on the right passenger side of the dashboard is directly on the top left side of the passenger airbag. I'm afraid if airbag was deployed shards of plastic would become projectiles or possibly interfere with the airbag operation. Another crack on top of dashboard is on the drivers side on the top left side of the instrumentation cluster is more than 5.5 to 6 inches long.

In september 2014, i noticed my dash above the instrument cluster cracking. I purchased this car as a gm certified used car with original factory warrantee in april 2013 with 60081 miles on it. 65,000 miles on 2011 chevrolet suburban and the dash has multiple cracks. Concerned that one of the cracks is next to passenger airbag. Worried about shrapnel in a collision.

The dashboard is cracking near instrument panel and passenger airbag causing a debris concern during normal vehicle operation and/or airbag deployment.

A crack has formed on the dashboard above the gauges and steering wheel.

There is a recall with takata airbag and chevrolet has not furnished a replace the part or fix in a timely manner.second issue is with dashboard cracking. My suburban sits under ourcarport 99% of the time, but yet has a few cracks on the dash. 2011 chevy suburban with @110,000 needs lifters replaced. Seems to be a common complaint with chevy and gmc owners. Consistent problem with these cars/suv/trucks. While driving on i95 stop car message came on.

Top of dash board cracked and broke,i am afraid that this my effect the proper operation of the air bags.

Vehicle shuts down while driving and while parked.all electronics shut down, unable to activate hazard lights.previously payed to fix abs light/sensor.dash cracked driver side and passenger side.has happened multiple times prior.

In early 2018, we noticed a very small crack in the dashboard just above the steering column cowling and discussed same withour dealership.we were told they'd called gm and then advised us that we'd need to pay $800 and they'd pick up the rest.knowing this was not our fault and had to be a defect, we refused and have been trying to get the problem resolved.since that time, the crack has now run to be several inches long.the defective dashboard is a safety risk.gm has knowledge of the defective dashboards and has done nothing to resolve the issue.gm had defrauded their customers with unfair and deceptive conduct and has continued to sell/replace defective products.

Crack that has grown on the dashboard above the steering column

Vehicle developed crack across dashboard between passenger airbag and windshield vent panel. Vehicle was stationary and parked in shade when damage occurred.

Cracked dash at airbag and above steering. Dealer will repair via an extended warranty i purchased when the auto was new.

On my vehicle brake oil was leaking my mechanic find that master cylinder leak. After changing the master cylinder when i start driving my brakes got locked. I park the car when it's cool down brake released but same thing happened when i start driving . So my mechanic changed the brake booster but now strange thing happening that brake pedal goes all the way down to floor and it's barely brakes. Just left the suv on a chevorellet dealer ship see what they will say.but this is definitelya safety issue because there is no way brake should go all the way to floor and barely brake.

Cracked dashboard over passenger-side front airbag.cracked dashboard over instrument cluster.

Takata recall. Dealer has no repair for my vehicle. Dash is cracking

The dashboard cracked around the passenger airbag deployment area and above the top of the driver side instrument panel.

The dashboard is cracking, cause is unknown, the vehicle has never been in any accidents

The dash panel of my 2011 suburban ltz has multiple cracks. The cracks are on the driver's side, above the instrument panel from one end to the other, and at the passenger side air bag, from one end to the air bag. I have paid to have the cracks repaired multiple times, but they continue to crack, as evidenced by the attached pictures. These cracks have appeared completely on their own without anything being placed onto or hitting the dash panel. Should i be involved an accident causing the airbags to deploy, these cracks would create a "shrapnel effect" of the plastic pieces being forced into the passenger cabin and possibly into the faces of passengers.

The accelerator hesitates when pressed. The car does not move and will then accelerate rapidly when at a stop and trying to accelerate through intersections. Dealer could not duplicate for repairs. Recurring issue. Also has a popping or clunking noise in back passenger side.dealer has duplicated but not repaired.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet suburban. While driving approximately 65 mph in the rain, the windshield wipers failed to function. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, waited until the rain stopped, and resumed driving. The vehicle was taken to randy wise buick gmc dealer (2530 owens rd, fenton, mi) and informed the contact that the wipers were only good for one year. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the windshield wipers were replaced two year ago by an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 180,000.

Crack that has grown on the dashboard above the steering column

Windshield wiper hoses (front & rear) self disconnected and i placed them back on several times. The last time i put them back in place, the hose broke off when i attempted to place back on the last time as the plastic connector had become brittle. No i cannot clean my back window and sometimes unable to clean the front windshield making it hard to see while driving.
