Yesterday on 4/10/2014 at 2:00pm i get into my 2007 chevy silverado 1500 classic crew cab and start my truck.i notice that once i let go of the get it never returned to the on position from run/start position.the truck is running and unable to turn off.i had to go under the hood fuse box to pull the pcm fuse to shut the truck off.this how ever still left the truck on.it is now sitting in the shop in phoenix, az aaa owned and operated shop on 75th ave and thunderbird.i will be requesting the parts after seeing and hearing the "ignition switch recall" of other gm vehicles.

Air conditioner blower fan started working off and on and finally stopped working completely.consequence was having to drive without any ac in 100 degree heat.took it in for repair on 8/9/10 and was told that they could not locate a tsb 05-01-38-012c and that i would have to pay $100 deductible to have the repair covered by my extended warranty.

Heater blower fan control relay plug located under the passenger side dash board.when fan is on high setting the plug and wires overheat and start to burn/melt and fan relay clicks off. I inspected the plug and have seen melted/bare wires also burnt plastic on the plug. After doing some online research i noticed a lot of chevy owners are having the same problem with other chevy models and years and this has led to many vehicle fires. I have also learned that chevy had a safety bulletin out on this for the dealers butthey have failed to inform the car and truck ownersi have contacted several chevy dealer service departments whoare very aware of the problem. I was told that this is not covered by chevrolet and that i would have to pay around $90.00 just for a diagnoses inspection and additional money for the repair.

Air conditioning just quits. Check fuses okay.took truck to dealership and they charged $656.27 to fix a short in the blower resistor resulting in connector melting and blower failure.newer truck and asked dealership if under warranty or if recall, informed me there was not. Got on internet at home and found several recalls on 2007 chevy silverado's and informed dealership through emails, about recalls and that is when i learnt our truck was manufactured in canada.called dealership where we purchased the truck in texasto inform them of recalls and they said it did not apply to our truck because it was kilometers and we have mileage, do i sound like i am bubba? recalls are from transport canada and numbers are 2011074-exact problem our truck is having; and 2009291 deals with airbags(which i have not even attempted to address because of the run around i have already experienced.canadian trucks should not be sold in america if recalls are not going to be honored.fire possibility and airbag deploying are very serious safety issues.called gm or chevrolet, have all emails of personnel i have contacted in regards to this issue.

2007 chevrolet silverado classic 1500;reduced engine power comes on and engine slows way down no matter where you are.almost was in big wreck on interstate.evidently gm doesnt want to do anything about it.have read many reports on internet about this error message and gm's inability to fix it or even claim to fix it.this is a very bad safety issue and someone is going to get killed.gm has already shown, by many reports, that they do not intend to take responsibility for this engine problem.from all the reports that i have read, the problem never gets fixed.we just keep throwing money at it and we have to keep coming back.if they do not fix this issue, i will be suing gm for this issue and make someone take responsibility.it is highly dangerous.

Plastic tabs that hold the passenger side rear taillight assembly in place broke for no apparent reason, allowing the entire taillight assembly to fall out and be dangling by the wires just off the pavement. This could be extremely dangerous at night. The taillight assembly on the drivers side had a similar failure two weeks later. It appears this is a factory defect in either the material or how the tight the plastic clips are torqued on, resulting in cracking that fails over time. The truck is just out of warranty so chevrolet will not address the issue. Currently held on with duct tape as that is probably safer than a replacement if the design flaw has not been corrected. Chevrolet needs to recall all the trucks with this style taillight assembly and provide a fix to this safety issue.

Vehicle is a 2007 chevrolet silverado with a v6. There is an annoying vibrationwhich makes the vehicle shudder at speeds between 45 mph and 55 mph. Am concerned that this issue will worsen and cause an accident and injure people.

Transmission line leaking badly.

While driving along roadway and approaching intersection i applied the brakes normally to slow down and stop my truck. The brake pedal went to the floor. The truck did stop and i saw fluid under the truck. I drove carefully to the service station and had the entire brake system inspected. The mechanic determined all the brake lines were severely rusted and would need replacement. This was accomplished at the cost of $2,300.00 to me.

Brake lines are starting to rust and blow. This should not be doing this at 80,00 miles. Truck is very rarely driven in the snow. And salt. I tow alot and am afraid they will blow when towing my camper with my kids in the truck

Was driving when a vehicle pulled out in front of me. I applied the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor. The vehicle slowed however did not stop. After this the brake pedal did not feel right. Upon inspecting the brakes myself i determined that a brake line failed. I took the vehicle to a local mechanic where he proceeded to tell me that this is an on going issue with these trucks and that all of the brake lines should be replaced. The lines are steel and rust. The bill would be approx. $1,000.00 to repair!!! it's a nice truck however i may not purchase another gm vehicle because of this issue and gm not standing behind it and recalling these to have the lines replaced with stainless.

Brake pedal went to floor. Found brake lines heavily rusted after only 6 years old. Left rear brake line blew, causing dangerously slow braking in rush hour. Narrowly avoided several crashes until i got home, crawled under it to find the puddle of brake fluid. I've have 20year old cars with better brake lines.

A few days before the incident my left front brakes were making a slight squealing sound when going straight. In a turn or when the brake was applied it would go away. Very minor. Then when traveling on the interstate at 55 mph i got a severe shutter in the steering wheel and the left wheel was shaking like crazy. I hit the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. After i downshifted i got it stopped on a hill. Had it towed home. The left wheel bearing had melted!! the wheel was literally hanging on as the driveshaft u joint came apart.the front half of the driveshaft was bent and the brakes were shot. Turns out the (sealed) hub was rusted so bad it froze up. Then it fell apart on the road. Luckily i got it stopped with wrecking. Chevy wanted over $2200 to fix it. I did it myself for $330 from napa after watching youtube on how to do it. It was easy as pie!

Brakelines started blowing at different places due to rust . I had to replace them all.i work with other people who all have the same problem, could the brake lines be made of faulty material.

Pulling out of arbys when pedal went all the way to floor. Pulled over, brake fluid shooting all over engine. Brake lines corroded badly. Glad there was no one around, had to drive up on curve to stop.

Noticed that my brakes was getting a little spongy earlier that day. Went to a fast food restaurant, started back out of parking lot when the brakes went to the floor, truck did not stop, thank goodness parking lot was empty, had to use parking brake to stop, looked under truck brake fluid under truck, line was pitted and rusted, 1800 dollars later brakes are still spongy.

My truck is experiencing a mushy brake pedal issue.when i first apply the brakes the vehicles responds normally.as i continue consistent pressure the pedal loses resistance and begins to fade.at slow speeds on left hand turns the anti-lock brakes attempt to engage.you hear a noise associated with this but do not feel any vibrations in the pedal.i have inspected the brake lines and found no obvious failures.i have bled the brakes.the fluid is at normal levels.the problem persists.

When going at slow speed 10mph or less. The front anti lock breaks kick in and you feel as if it will not stop. This happens all the time. There is a safety bulletin out about this. When i asked chevy what they would do about it i was told nothing. I payed to have it fixed. This was an on going issue not a one time deal.

While backing in my driveway, applied brakes and pedal went to the floor.the brake line to the rf wheel had rusted/corroded to the point that it failed.all of the brake lines are in the same condition and will require replacement.

The abs comes on at speeds of 7mph and 3 mph on my 2007 chevy silverado. I live in pennsylvania which is considered the snow belt in the north east, i had a 2000 silverado and there was a recall on the abs brake system and gm says there is no recall on my trucks abs and the problem is the same as the 2000 which was a recall in 2005.*ln

I have had problems with the abs system on my 2007 chevrolet silverado classic, since about three months after i purchased it.i purchased this vehicle new.the first occurrence caused an accident, but no injuries.i reported the problem to the dealer, they checked the "computer" and said "the computer does not have any codes, so nothing can be wrong."the brakes have locked-up, numerous times since the first accident.this has happened about 25-30 times in the last 3 years.it is an intermittent problem, never occurring in the same conditions.i contacted general motors and they sent a regional supervisor in to look at the reports.he gave the same answer and basically said if the computer doesn't show a problem then their cant be a problem, and they couldn't afford to begin replacing parts that could cause the problem.this is a safety concern and should be addressed.it has happened as recently as 1 week ago.

Intermediate steering column, clunking noise radiating up through the steering column, very pronounced when turning the vehicle, noise has become worse and owner is annoyed and concerned about the safety of the vehicle. Contacting the dealer, they want to charge for the diagnosis of the problem. Dealer has also stated that the intermediate steering shaft is not covered under warranty. The problem was present when i bought the vehicle. I thought it was the shock absorbers on the front and had no desire to have the same 'cheap' shocks replaced. Upon my obtaining four kyb brand shock absorbers and installing them, it became apparent to me that there was a different problem. After some research, i found a 'service bulletin' concerning the problem. Upon talking to the dealer and a factory representative, i realized that they did not give a darn - they refuse to replace the intermediate steering column.i have since learned that this is a problem with not only my vehicle 'type' but also many other gm vehicle 'types.'

At slow speed the power steering fails.this failure is sporadic, but does happen often. The steering wheel becomes as hard to turn as when the engine is off with no power boost at all. This is dangerous as the only option is to stop abruptly. Chevrolet recently issued a recall for repair on some car models for the same complaint, however my truck was not included.

My truck dash stated cracking in 2012 and just keep cracking all over ,now i have spoke to my gm dealer and she says there nothing they can do .butif a airbag was to deployat over 200mph the dash will come flying with it now i am not the only person having this issue i no this is a safety hazard because i was a fire fighter for 17 years and no the dangers of flying objects .i just think if the lemon law say if the same thing brake more then three time the law covers it but should i have to replace my dash3 time to get them to fix what is to be a big problem for me and other gm customers?
