Like thousands of other people (and a previous chevrolet of mine), my dash board has spontaneously cracked over night in cold weather near the passenger airbag. My vehicle is only 3 years old and this should be replaced under warranty and/or a safety recall. Due to it being outside its 36k warranty, gm will not repair it.

The vehicle has been running poorly and throwing many codes (evap, stabilitrak, abs, cam, ignition, injection, and even throttle errors for the past three months.the transmission has also been bumping (not slipping) in 2nd gear under load.yesterday the truck started running really rough and the transmission started shifting really hard (up and down) just before the message "reduced engine power" and the "stabilitrak came on again.i shut the truck off and it would not restart.i am towing a 30' tow behind camper with this vehicle and this has effected everything from my fuel economy, handling and now even basic operation of the vehicle.stabilitrak happens while the vehicle is in motion or stationary.the repair facility has informed me that the ecu/ecm is the most likely culprit and therefore it is being replaced because i will not place myself nor any of my family members or others on the road into harms way nor do i want to end up a statistic of another manufacturer known defect.

Update of nhtsa id number: 10809089.the stabilitrak and reduced engine power has increased to the following obd codes:p0010, p0122, p0202, p0233, p0335, p0455, p0340, p1682, p2089 as well.at this point there doesn't appear to be anything left on the vehicle that does work.since the recalls and technical bulletins all appear to have been "completed" for this vehicle i guess i can look forward to repeating the same problematic repairs again and again for the remainder of the time that i own this vehicle which do not appear to have resolved but merely band aided away until they reappear.even the drivers door switches all had to be replaced which tells me that this is related to an electrical problem and with so many complaints the matter had forced consumers to pay for repairs that were designed to fail without regard to the consumers safety nor financial burdens.it appears that the electrical issues which most are directly linked to the defective engine wiring harness and grounding issues as many technicians are reporting.at this point the truck needs to be totaled.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving various speeds, the main operation system, calibration, speedometer, and start production were affected by cyberhacking. As a result, the contact stated that there was a complete loss of brake functionality and an erroneous speedometer reading on more than one occasion. Bentley buick gmc (2120 drake avenue, huntsville, alabama, (256) 415-6513) reset the vehicle with new calibrations and enhanced the engine oil life monitor to more accurately identify the required oil change interval, which produced diagnostic trouble code: 2t459. The failures recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000. Updated 11/26/18

Just bought truck from wyler chevrolet, 1 owner trade in. Only 67000 miles. Have only drove 2000 miles in 6 months. I parked in driveway after work at 6 pm, had freezing rain that night. Next morning truck turns over fine but don't start. Has over 1/2 tank of gas. It smelled like burning hairdryer. Have extended warranty on truck, had towed to wyler chevrolet in springfield ohio.they found the fuse for the fuel pump was blown/burnt/melted. They tell me this isn't covered by warranty fuel systems. After all the fuel pump recalls for these2013 chevys, my truck must have something needing repaired also. If this shorted out and caught fire while my family is in this truck this will be such a bad situation. It has been sitting at dealership waiting for gmpac inspection for repair. Please assist

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving 65 mph, the stabilitrak warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle pulled from right to left. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road, powered off the engine, waited a minute, restarted the vehicle, and was able to drive. The contact stated that the failure recurred after driving three to four minutes. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 88,000.

Sporatic failure of the fuel pump causing the truck to not start or to stall while being driven. Issue happened both when stationary and while in motion. Vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. Dealership diagnostics determined fuse block failure. Was informed by the dealership that the fuse block failure is common, so much so that they stock the replacements. Fortunately i was not on the highway towing my trailer when the last incident happened. If i had been on the highway towing, it could have been catastrophic since there would have been a loss of power steering and braking. The truck only had 11,612 miles on it at the last instance.

Service stabilitrac keeps coming on and sometimes when it comes on it flashes and every time it flashes it applies the right front brake pulling the truck to the right. When you go to slow down to pull over the anti lock brakes turn on until you are almost completely stopped and once the stabilitrac light comes on steady and stops flashing it will not do it any more until you turn the truck off and reset it. It mainly does it on the highway at higher speeds but it has done it in town also. No pattern to when it does it sometimes i may drive 100 miles before it does it and sometimes it comes on as soon as i cut the truck on and take off. It has come on when stopped and foot on brake getting ready to leave. Have had it to the dealer to be fixed but so far they have not been able to figure out exactly what is the problem

On aug 2, 2015 about 25 miles east of grand junction co. Driving speed was about 65 mph on interstae i-70. My chevy silverado 2500 went into a computer shut down.being a skilled professional driver , with a class a cdl i just made it to the shoulder before truck shur down, truck and travel trailer i was towing needed to be towed to ed bozarth gm dealer.on monday i was informed would need to pay $ 775 to determine point of failure. At the time a company called speedco was and maybe suspect as to cause. The did a oil change and fuel filter in w. Memphis ar. This service was done on july 24,2015. On july 25,2015 truck no start, speedco came out with another fuel filter. When first fuel filter taken off , there were no gaskets. However gm appears to be conceling material facts as to internal service bulletins. This bulletin as to point failer was printed aug 3, 2015 , 5 pages . A estimate by said dealer was given to speedco and myself in the amount of $ 8,692.02. When the fuel injection pump went , sent metal shavings though my whole system engine, fuel oil, cooling system ect. Gm has know about this problem for a long time, however failed to disclose to its customers. In my opinion to allow for warranty to expire. Once speedco was presented with service bulletin they backed down from paying. Gm had proved to speedco that gm is the problem. I have contacted gm in detrioit many times with different case numbers. One phone call i got from gm , stated the original estimated stated above was far low. When i asked how much, stated to me could not say however much higher. I'm in possession of a lot of documentation. I havn't scaned the documents yet. This truck was purchased in oct. Of 2013 for $ 56,000, bank financing. Also this truck was purchased to earn a living pulling new travel trailers. My excellent credit is on the line due to this lemom. Truck had 20k, with warranty.

Poor quality exhaust fluid unable to drive over 55mph

While driving on the highway i started to lose power and so when i pulled into the airport parking lot my truck stalled while i was still in drive.i tried to restart the truck however it would not crank over so i had to contact a tow company.what i found out was that it was the high pressure fuel pump that went out causing severe damage to my fuel system by sending metal shavings into all of my fuel system to include my gas tank.gm had a class action suit for this year of truck for this issue at hand and i am wondering why they never initiated a safety recall on this defective part?i could have been stranded somewhere on the highway and i have a family with three kids which cold have made it worse if they were with me on a trip.this is a safety issue in my eyes and if gm knew about this happening why have they not fixed it now i am being charged $8900.00 for repairs when they knew this was an issue.if i would have been on the highway this could of been catastrophic to not only me however to the public traveling on that same highway. I have all the tsb's and internet research on the lawsuit filed but cannot upload.

Serious risk of fire:this model has an pressure sensor on top of the gas tank (and fuel pump) that when it malfunctions causes strong fuel odors and fuel to escape from the tank and run down the frame and out near the back bumper.

2013 silverado 2500hd lt the drivers side seat belt is already wearing out on a 4 year old model vehicle.

Approximately 30 miles after replacement of brake pads on front axle, the front passenger brake locked up while in motion causing excessive heat build up and smoke. Was towed to a shop and the caliper replaced. Problem went away temporarily. A few months later the front driver side brake locked up while in motion causing excessive heat build up and smoke. Both times it nearly cause the vehicle to pull itself off the road or into on-coming traffic. The second lock up had to have the caliper and rubber brake line replaced. The second was repaired at a chevy dealer.

While driving, breaks "stick"causing the to get so hot the smoke and smell like they are burning. The truck pulls and shakes so aggressively you can barely steer it. I have reached out to the dealership and was told there is nothing wrong.initially, my husband thought i was crazy because he wasnt with me, but yesterday he was driving and thought we had a completely flat tire, and could barely keep the truck on the road.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving 35 to 40 mph, the brake pedal was engaged and the front end of the vehicle vibrated and shook abnormally. Additionally, the steering wheel also shook abnormally. The contact reduced the speed of the vehicle to bring the vehicle under control. The contact stated that the failure recurred when the speed was increased. The failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to good chevrolet (325 sw 12th st, renton, wa 98057, (888) 379-1487) where the dealer test drove the vehicle, and was able duplicate the failure. The vehicle was diagnosed and the contact was informed that the driver's and passenger's side front brake pads, calipers, and rotors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer mentioned that the front calipers were not responded due to a failure with the abs system. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,000.

By design this truck will turn off my trailer brakes when there is an issue with anything associated with the anti lock brake system. I have had two near misses, catastrophic accidents in the last two weeks as a result of this condition. I load this machine up to its maximum trailer carrying capacity on a daily basis. This machine is operated in the mountains often. The 2 near misses were as described here. 1st: i was approaching a stop sign with a highway cross road. Cross traffic did not have to stop. When i applied the brakes to stop and i heard a tone activate then the dic indicated abs needs service, stabli-trak needs service, service the trailer brake system. Luckily no one was coming because at this point my trailer brakes were turned off by the truck on a fully loaded trailer. I could not stop at this intersection. 2nd: i was traveling down a slight incline towards a red stoplight. I applied the brakes and received the same warnings and the truck turned off the trailer brakes on a fully loaded trailer again. This time i had a semi truck coming from the right. They had to perform an emergency stop to avoid colliding with me as i traveled through the red light. This system is dangerous and needs to be changed.

Faulty brakes -master cylinder failed (so i am told) causing the calipers, rotors, pads heating up to the point of a significant amout of smoke coming from tires.brakes stick and you are unable to control truck from the shaking, almost causing truck to go off the road.

The dash is cracking there are loose pieces of plastic over the air bag and over the instrument panel.

Extreme corrosion observed in the frame. Frame peeling at the point of parts broken.

Inside door handles breaking . Concerned about being in an accident and can't get out , especially if there is a fire! searching internet , i find a lot of problems with the door handles.truck was parked and wife tried to open door and the handle come off in her hand.

Special coverage adjustment 29400 diesel emission fluid tank reservoir was created. Nhtsa id number:10135147special coverage extends to 2013 silverado 3500 model, but not 2013 silverado 2500 per the dealer. I own the 2500 which is currently suffering from obd error code p20b9. Same code applies to 3500 from what i've read. This error occurred while driving on the highway. I was notified by the dash that i had 100 miles before limited power and speed would be applied. Fortunately i was 40 miles from home. Both trucks are the same other than the 3500 has dual wheels ("dully") and larger rear axels from what i was told at the dealer. Other systems, including thediesel-emission-reduction fluid system (def). Both models appear to have the same system including the tank reservoir and components. In fact when you order replacement parts for this issue, increased def tank-heater resistance, the part being replaced is the same be it a 3500 or 2500. Curious why the 3500 model is covered under the special coverage and the 2500 is not? why 2013 2500 not on list of (14) products, if it's the same as 2013 3500 when both models:-get the same obd code: p20b9- replacement part (23379348) for 2500 per dealer is found on the nhtsa's special coverage list- replacement part per dealer (23379348) is the same for 3500 and 2500 per gm site and rockauto.comthank you in advance, fidel

The plastic dash on my vehicle is cracking majorly. There is nothing gm is doing to fix this issue. However, if the cracking continues to get worse it could cause harm me the driver and passengers in the vehicle. Gm should have to submit the formula in which was used to create this plastic dash because it is cracking from the sun.
