Dashboard in the truck has two stress cracks one by the air bag and another one above the speedometer. That dashboard is very poor quality and should be recalled by general motors.

Dash is cracked above passenger side air bag, potentially causing high velocity projectile hazard in the event of an airbag deployment.

The dash board on my silverado is cracked in 4 different places. Two on the air bag side and two on the drivers side. They have been getting worse with time. They seem to just keep growing.

Takata recall, over year ago have called anchorage car dealer 3 times to fix but they keep telling me they don't have parts and don't know when they will receive.we live 200 miles from a dealer the diag. Module also has recall would like both fixed at same time so when will parts be in for airbags.truck is in use so i need fixed please.

Dashboard cracking and shattering which could in turn cause an accident or damage to the deployment of the airbag. Terrible craftsmanship.

When temperatures drop below 30 degrees the tire pressure warning light and the low coolant light comes on.took to dealership and they advised that both warning lights do that below 28 degrees.this has occurred since 2013 winter.glow plugs going out one at time gm will only replace as they go out up to 120000 not enough being done with this.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the redundant pressure sensor circuit was shorted and inoperative. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,153.

While driving down highway at 70 mph, stabilitrac light comes on and truck rapidly grabs to the right and suddenly you are on the shoulder fighting to get back on road, truck also starts to decelerate and hard to accelerate.

The vehicle was taken to john l sullivan chevrolet (350 automall dr, roseville, ca 95661, 916-782-1243) where it was diagnosed that the nitrogen oxide sensors failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000. .. Updated 10/29/18

I have been having multiple glow plug failures on my vehicle. One right after another. It has gone to the dealer every single time for the repairs i even asked the dealer mechanic if i was the only one and he stated that there are many others with my issue with failing glow plugs. The dealer has a full record of all the issues iv had and every time my vehicle has been in their shop. Something has got to be done!soon as i try to use my remote start the truck starts then dies then i get a check engine light so i call onstar they give me the code and sure enough its a failed glow plug. Then im unable to even use remote start features of my vehicle at this point.

Exhaust gas recirculation (egr) cooler bypass valve had to be replaced 60,000 miles. The check engine light came on while the car was in motion.

Multiple failures of "glow plugs" (known gm problem) and nox exhaust sensors, high def use, unusual "buildup" in the exhaust filter requiring many dealer visits, downtime, repair costs and extremely poor fuel mileage. Glow plugs often fail at initial start when system is "cold".. Oat has been from about 45 to about 90 degrees fahrenheit. Altitude, about 20 to 1200 ft asl. Dealer serviced only. Vehicle has no mods!!!!

Vehicle would not start.when they put it on scope they found that the fuel rail pressure was to low.they found metal shavings throughout the fuel system as if a part was coming apart from the inside.they had to replace entire fuel system from pump to injectors plus all the lines and injection pump. This vehicle is 2 years old.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not able to restart. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, who diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The technician mentioned that the fuel pump fractured and debris went through the fuel system causing internal damages. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000.

The contact was informed that there was metal contamination in the fuel system due to a fuel pump fracturing in the fuel tank. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

In 2017 my bosch cp4 fuel pumped failed, mark christopher replaced due to recall. While driving 70 mph on the freeway on september 1, 2020 my truck completely shut down, had a complete loss of power, and power steering was lost. Had to make my way to side of freeway and call for a tow. This was the second failure of the bosch cp4 fuel pump, which was installed three years prior. Mark christopher chevrolet and gm will not replace under recall. Knowing that this is recalled product they are fusing to replace it.

I was driving down a highway road when my vehicle abruptly lost power, i received a warning from my dashboard saying fuel filter needs replacing and subsequently lost engine power which resulted in no power steering and no brakes. I was able to keep the vehicle under control and got it to the side of the road before it became dead. After getting the vehicle towed to a garage it was determined that the cp4 fuel injection pump had failed resulting in fuel being starved from the engine and the result was the engine shutting off. The repairs alone for this single failure are $8550 because this pump has fouled all the fuel injectors and regulators in the fuel system. Most importantly though, i was fortunate enough to be in a position on highway where i had no traffic behind me, and on a relatively straight road where i was able to get to the curb before it become a bigger problem. From what i have found this is becoming a common problem on all of the duramax 6.6l lml engines utilizing this type of fuel injection pump and gm needs to recall these systems and repair them. I do not have the repair invoice yet because the vehicle is still being repaired but will be happy to supply it when i receive it.

Bosch cp4.2 fuel pump malfunctioned and contaminated the entire fuel and injection system with metal shavings. The truck engine stopped while traveling at 50 mph on a city street and left me with no power steering. The entire fuel system needs to now be replaced and not covered by the manufacturer. Repair bill of over $7,000.

The passenger front seat is leaking a fluid and each time we ride in it it makes us sick. We have to travel with the windows down even in the rain.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving approximately 45 mph and attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal dropped to the floor and seized. The ignition needed to be turned off in order for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. The contact turned the vehicle on with the gear in park and it revved loudly. The contact turned the vehicle off and on several times and was able to drive home. The failure recurred and, in order to stop the vehicle, the ignition would have to be turned off. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact spoke with the dealer who informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

This has occurred twice now. Going at slow speed, such as 5 to 10 mph making a turn and the steering goes out making the truck difficult to turn. It is like theignition switches off and then 5 to 10 seconds later the switch comes back on.very scary when this occurs!

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving approximately 5 mph, the steering wheel seized. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole. A police report was not filed. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

When making a turn at low speed, the power steering goes off. It is then almost impossible to turn. It did this several times. I took it to a dealer, and they replaced the power steering pump. They said it was putting out 1150 psi and it should be 1700-1800 psi. The problem came back the next day. I will take back to dealer.

Passenger side dash, on left engine compartment side has cracked from the airbag compartment to the defrost air duct.the concerns are 1) impaired/failure of passenger airbag in crash, 2) exposure to sharp dash cracks which could increase injury in a crash, 3) safety of occupants inadvertently being injured by sharp edges of dash crack, 4) resale value.

The top of the dash is cracked above the instrument panel. Not sure when or how it happened. This is the same thing i've seen happen to many other gm trucks and suvs.

I noticed a crack in my dashboard on the passenger side at the front left corner of where my airbag is in my 2012 silverado 2500hd ltz. I did research on this problem only to find out there are thousands of others with this issue! it's not from using any cleaning products. It's a manufacturer defect. Wish this could be addressed. I had no idea about reporting on here until recently, hopefully enough will report to maybe get this felt with!

Goodyear wrangler 260-60r20" 2nd tire to have broken belts causing extreme vibratio, the entire front end shacks vilantly when applying brakes trying to stop had to have replaced. Driving on us 58 west with no shoulder to pull off highway
