Takata recall. After being in touch once again with carl black orlando florida we are still told that there is no solution for replacement of takata airbag. We have tried several times to schedule a replacement the last one being 11/30/2017. When are we going to get a replacement? carl black representative told us our vehicle is "safe".

Gm is saying there is no remedy yet, but they are selling replacement air bags under part # 22744316. So is there not remedy or do they not want to cover their recall. When you pay 50k for a vehicle you expect the manufacturer to stand behind it. Saying the vehicle is safe does not make me comfortable if i was to have an accident that would cause airbag to go off. Let along if someone was to die from the airbag. What good is nhtsa if you don't enforce the recalls, you cannot let the manufacturer decide that any of the vehicles affected by the recall are safe. I will not be buying another gm vehicle if this is not taken care of properly.

Takata recall: chevrolet is not offering a fix for this problem. "remedy not yet available."

Takata recall - my truck's airbags were recalled 05/27/2016 and i have tried to have selman chevrolet, who sold me the truck, check and replace the airbags but they keep giving me a run around and they claim they do not have bags for replacement.takata has found that the propellant degrades and the bags may rupture, causing serious or fatal injury.however, i am expected to continue driving my truck and risk death or injury!selman chevrolet in orange, ca does not care and in effect - refuses to do the safety recall!.

Takata recall, recall is almost a year old and no solution yet, no one else makes airbags? now the senate is proposing a bill to force repairs or not be able to register the vehicle. Too much regulation already that doesn't work.

Takata recall-this was identified in may of 2016.as of today, 10/17/17 there is no fix and my life is at stake every day.

Need to replace air bag with a new one since the air bag has been recalled

Dash is cracking in several places.

Takata recall:i want this airbag replaced!!this airbag has been under recall since 05/2016. Gm filed for inconsequentiality and your website says it should have been reviewed and decided by 2017. It is now 08/2018, but today, gm says no remedy is available, still. This airbag is a potential loaded shotgun pointed at my passengers. I need a remedy for this airbag asap! i think we have been patient enough!!!!

The dashboard is cracked around the air bag.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. The contact stated that the service air bag and air bag warning indicators illuminated intermittently. The contact received the recall notification in july of 2016. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that a third party engineer advised that there was no failure with the air bags. The manufacturer informed the contact that they would let him know when the part became available. The contact spoke with three unknown dealers that stated the part was not availble. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

I put my vin in your database to see if there has been a recall for takata airbags. Per your web site, gm request a petition of inconsequentuality for my model vehicle, even though takata has identified their airbags as being installed on my truck. There was to have been a ruling, again per your website, in august of 2017. There is reference to a docket number which i could not locate. So, i'm asking what is the latest nhtsa ruling regarding gm's petition of inconsequentiality? i may be driving around in a dangerous vehicle which seems to not matter to gm or to nhtsa. Please calm my fears and give me the most recent information, even if it may be something i don't wish to hear.thank you

This recall came out in may 2016. Now ford / mazda has issued a do not drive until repaired with repairs available. But still no remedy from gm for this? they have built how many more model year trucks and how many trucks since 2011. I live in texas and the temperatures here reach 100* in the summers. There is no reason for a repair not to be available for this after this length of time. How many people have to possibly be killed before this is resolved. There needs to be a class action lawsuit for this. Gm is not taking care of their consumers. I have complained about this before and no response other than no remedy yet. Not acceptable. If an airbag can explode and kill someone than it needs to be repaired now.

4th complaint on this recall, still no remedy for this but gm has made 10 more years of trucks and sell replacement air bags for this model, not a good safety recall if they are waiting for someone to die before deciding this vehicle is truly affected by the airbag they installed. Will never buy another gm vehicle again. Still no response from last complaint. Nhtsa should be defunded.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. The contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags). After contacting an unknown dealer and the manufacturer on multiple occasions, the contact was informed that the parts needed for the recall remedy were still not available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recalllack of information is astounding, web site and phone number are a loop, refer to each other and offer no specifics. Dealer says 'parts not available' found info gm was conducting 'study' but no info of nhtsa actions re this study. I'm in atlanta and a k2500hd don't fit in a garage! can't get much more heat and humidity exposure than here!

Takata recall is causing me to lose value on the trade-in of my truck because the dealership can't resale it on their lot.

The passenger side of the dashboard is cracking around the airbag. There are three cracks around the airbag as of today.

Takata air bags remedy still unavailable. The check air bags light on dash keeps coming on. I'd really like to get my truck fixed

I have had 2 safety recall notices on the passenger air bags, that could be fatal. 1st was in 2016, 2nd 2021. Last one still says parts not available. Shouldn't disable the passenger airbag or fix it?

Need to replace with a new air bag since this one has been recalled.

Takata recall i was notified in july of 2016 that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain gm 2011 model year silverados. The info i'm getting when i search the database for recalls is as follows:recall status: incomplete. Remedy not yet available. Gm is working quickly to finalize the necessary repair procedures and/or obtain parts. You will be notified via written communication when the repair procedure or parts are available. You can also check back at this website or with your preferred certified service dealer.it's been over three years and nothing has been resolved and gm has not been made to resolve this safety issue. Fortunately, i have not had an accident to test the safety of the air bags. Why hasn't the department of transportation forced gm to do something about this potentially deadly situation?

The dash has began to crack around the passenger side airbag. I am affraid if an accident was to happen and that airbag had to deploy it would send broken plastic in my family or myself face or could tare the airbag. I realize this is a well known and documented problem and there has been countless people who have been dealing with the same problem and feel this should no doubt be a recalled issue.

The dash is cracked at the passenger side air bag. If the airbag has to inflate i am afraid it will send pieces of dash into the passengers face.

Takata recallwe have had a passenger airbag recall since may of 2016. It states there is still no remedy 2 years later! very disheartening as this is our family vehicle.

Upon the start up, the instrument cluster will begin to shut gauges down, turn on all warning light, tach and speedometer go to 0.then the tach/speedo will come back with all gauges off and all warning lights on.then the gauges come on and the warning light will turn off. This can continue up to 15-20 minutes while under way.it actually appears the truck has is not running while you are actually traveling at any speed. I have had the issue happen while sitting in the parking lot and moving over 60 mph.it is temperature related when it is cold out (40 degrees), the sequence happens every 20-30 seconds with the cluster not totally working for more than 15 seconds.this continues for over 5-10 minutes!this issue is spot on to an issue/recall of '03-08 gm trucks.

New vehicle front end suspension began to randomly violently shake at different speeds (once @ 55 mph & once @ 70 mph). The shaking was so bad that the driver could barley hold the wheel straight to avoid losing control & crashing. While this was happening the vehicle 4 wd light was blinking despite the fact that the vehicle was in 2 wd. Once driver was able to pull over he inspected the outside of the vehicle to find no mechanical issues (no flat tires, things in the wheels, etc...). Driver then began driving again & the vehicle was fine as if nothing happened. Driver called onstar & they stated there were no fault codes in the system. Several days later the same thing happened while driving at 70 mph. This time the driver nearly got into a roll over accident. He was able to get the vehicle to the side of the road. Upon inspection there were again no mechanical issues. Owner drove to dealer & was told to bring back the next day. Owner inquired if vehicle was safe to drive & was told "i hope so" by the service technician. Gm customer care was called & stated they were not aware of any issues with the 2011 hd vehicles. Owner took vehicle to dealer next morning & several hours later was called & told it was mud in wheels (not possible since the first time it happened there was no mud). Owners son then looked on internet to see many people having the same issue in this model year vehicle. The son then found that a tsb was issued by gm to all dealers for a sticky break pedal that when stuck (even though it appears visually to not be stuck) will at random times cause the abs to activate violently. Tsb# pit5037b. Dealer was then told by owner about the tsb & dealer was not aware of tsb. Repair was performed & the vehicle has not shook since. Owner was suppose to be pulling a 30 ft 5th wheel with a 15 ft trailer attached to it (45 ft. Total). If they had been they likely would have been in major accident with possible loss of life due to the sway it causes when it occurs.

Transmission control module (tcm) has failed slamming the moving truck into 1st gear while driving on the highway putting the truck into "limp mode" it has also violently shift into reverse while in the parked position.

Randomly while driving, warning bells & lights flash, message in dic state service stabilitrak/traction control. Instrument cluster goes dead, a/c quits cooling & radio quits. If the vehicle is in motion it will continue to be drivable. As soon as you stop or are stopped when it occurs, the transmission stops working. The engine continues to run, and can be revved however the vehicle will not move. After turning off the ignition, opening the driver's door and waiting a couple of minutes, you can restart the engine, the gauges and transmission will once again operate.it has now started to periodically cause the driver side low beam headlight and driver's door lock to not function as well.

2011 chevrolet silverado 2500hd. Consumer states severe electrical fire damage to the dash, windshield and all wiring components to the cab.*tgwthe consumer stated when he went to take pictures for his insurance company, he noticed the truck started to spark under the dash. He closed the door and walked away. As he was walking away, he turned around and noticed smoke rolling out of the windows. The consumer called the fire department and they were able to put the fire out. The consumer was not given any paperwork.

Battery needed to be jumped off. Jumped off battery and then decided to go and purchase a new one. We were driving down the highway at 60mph, flames and smoke started coming up over hood. Pulled over, parked and jumped out and started throwing items out of vehicle. Called 911, but by the time they arrived, the truck was totally engulfed. It is a complete loss.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving 10 mph, the engine jerked and shook as the check engine light, reduce engine power, and service traction control lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the throttle body and harness were repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 41,209.

Traveling at 60 miles per hour, accelerated and the accelerator stuck going up to 80 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone.i stomped on the accelerator to no avail.i had to put the truck into neutral to avoid a crash.pulled over and finally kept stomping the accelerator until it released.

I was traveling to work in the fast lane of the freeway when i heard a faint squealing noise and the truck suddenly started running rough. I began crossing all 4 lanes and by the time i made it to the the slow lane the truck completely died. I was able to safely coast off of the freeway due to my quick reaction and lack of traffic at the time, but the situation was very dangerous and could have been much more so with heavier traffic or a less aware driver. Later diagnosis at the chevrolet dealership told me that the cp4 fuel pump disintegrated inside. After speaking with the diesel technician at the dealer i learned that it is a very common problem and the repair comes with a $10,000 price tag. I was also very surprised that there has never been a recall for this problem and gm continued to use them until 2017...7 years! my truck is a 2011 with only 54k miles, and they just fixed a 2017 with only 7k miles! i have since done a lot of research finding hundreds of low mileage gm duramax diesel between 2011-2017 with the exact same failure. I was able to get the bottom of the failure itself and i found the following...the bosch cp4 fuel pumps that were used in these trucks (also found in late ford and vw diesels) are made in europe to different specifications. The pumps rely on lubricant found in diesel #1 to operate smoothly and last a long time. Here in the u.s. We only have diesel #2 which lacks that lubricant and causes the internal parts of the pump to disintegrate sending metal shavings throughout the entire fuel system. This is why the repair averages $10,000 across the country, the entire fuel system becomes contaminated and has to be replaced. I contacted gm and they don't believe this is a safety issue. A vehicle suddenly dieing with seconds notice on the freeway is certainly a safety issue in my eyes. Especially when it's a common failure that can be prevented.

The truck had the check engine light come on when we took it to the dealership they replace the fuel pressure regulator. The light soon came back on due to a faulty fuel pump which sent the car into safe mode, which made the car do a nose dive from 55 to 15 in a matter of seconds on a major interstate in atlanta.

I have a 2011 chevy 2500. 6.6 turbo diesel at 136k miles. My def heater just went out and my dealership said it's only under warranty until 120k miles. I've been looking online and there's a lot of 2011s that are having the same problem. Someone needs to step up and be responsible for this. It's costing me $1200 to fix plus a day off work. I'm self employed and if i sell a faulty product i'm required to replace for free. G.m should be doing the same.

P140a-exhaust gas recirculation (egr) cooler bypass position sensor exceeded learning limitthere is a special coverage on the egr bypass valve for 10 years or 120,000 milescondition- on some 2011 model year chevrolet silverado 3500 hd or 2011 gmc sierra hd vehicles, the service engine soon light may illuminate due to an inoperative exhaust gas recirculation (egr) cooler bypass valve.special coverage adjustment- this special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 120,000 miles (193,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.dealers are to replace the egr cooler bypass valve. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.i have the same engine but my truck is a 2500 hd and they will not cover it! there is no difference in a 2500 and 3500 except one leaf spring!

Exhaust manifold bolts are breaking despite regular non commercial use and proper maintenance. This causes an exhaust leak and i am not comfortable driving my infant in the truck now. Dealer says 4 how odd labor plus parts so approx $1000 fix? that's unreasonable for any motor but especially under 120000km.

Tbere are small particles of orange flash that has fallen off the front signal lights inside the front headlight housing. They are not supose to be in there. This is a defect that happened when the amber signals were molded. I work in a injection molding plant that makes the current sinals for the silverado and that is a defected part. I was told that should be a recall.

Message came on dic saying low def 727 miles. Did not quite know what that meant. Found out. Gm says it should come on at 1000 miles. Nope. Came on 2 x 727 and 72. There is no way to check the def level. Someone realized this as the newer trucks have gauges or other ways to check. I feel this could become an issue if the vehicle goes into limp mode and no close places to purchase def. I talked to gm. They don't seem to concerned about the whole thing. A simple fix would be to make it like the transmission fluid check. Pull out the dip stick/check the fluid/add fluid if necessary through the same tube that the dipstick came out of. My truck has a tube under the hood where you add def. Again there is no way to see how much you need. You just keep adding till it spits out of the tube. I feel gm should take care of this issue with an update of some sort so a motorist vehicle suddenly starts slowing down on the highway. Thanks for your interest..

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving at approximately 45 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The fuel filter clogged message was displayed. The contact changed the fuel filter. The vehicle was towed to a denny menholt chevrolet buick gmc 1172 16th st, cody, wy 82414 (307) 527-7101 where it was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump exploded and that metal shavings were found in the fuel system. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 123,658.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving65 mph and towing a 36 feet long camper, the messages indicating a fuel system failure was displayed before the vehicle loss motive power and stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer solomon chevrolet located at 4886 montgomery hwy, dothan, al 36303 who diagnosed that the fuel system was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic who replaced the fuel system which included the installation of a cp3 pump injector and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 99,779.*dt

An article in trailer life (may, 2019) identified that the bosch cp4.2 high-pressure fuel-injection pump is subject to catastrophic failure. It points out this is a common failure, a design issue and will cost many $1000's to repair. It has been called a "fatal flaw". It should be replaced with a unit that is reliable by the manufacturer if this is a common problem. Michigan s&s motorsport states this is a known problem and is common to 2011 to 2016 duramax diesel silverados using the bosch cp4.2 fuel-injection pump.

While driving in excess of 55 mph on i 95, my 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500 stalled without warning while i was in the far left passing lane.no power steering or power brakes made it extremely difficult to control while moving through 4 lanes of traffic to get to the shoulder.i was unable to restart the vehicle and had to have it towed to a garage.i was informed the cp4 fuel injection pump had failed and repairs will be in excess of $8,000 because the entire fuel delivery system was contaminated and needs to be replaced.

There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and then towed to bomnin chevrolet (8455 s dixie hwy, miami, fl 33143). The dealer diagnosed that the cp4 fuel pump failed and needed replacement. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. While the vehicle was idling at a red light, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact had to place the gear shifter in park to restart the vehicle on several occasions. The stabilitrak and traction control indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to sands chevrolet glendale (623-931-9331, 5418 grand ave, glendale, az 85301) where it was diagnosed that the transmission control module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.

Transmission control module and egr valve needs replaced at 61,000 miles.

At 75000 starting have problems with transmission always down shifting. At 126000 torque converter came apart and caused damage to the transmission pump and bell housing. The truck was being driven in both situations.0

Purchased a vehicle from dave smith motors on oct 7,2019 and the rear seat belts do t match or operate after being told it went through a 125 point inspection and on their site says seatbelts are inspected and i have unoperational seat belts which is a saftey hazard on their part as they sold a vehicle with unmatched and operational saftey belts.

On numerous occasions the drive's seat belt has totally "released" while driving along the highway while i and other family members have driving along. These inadvertent releases were reported to my vehicles dealer (t & c chevrolet, ashland, oregon) on may 27,.2016 at 21261 miles. Dealer said they could not find any defect. The vehicle presently has approximately 32000 miles and the driver's seat belt still releases at unpredictable times. This situation has me very conderned about my and others safety if something un-toward happens.

My drivers side seat belt started to retract very slowly. Now it hardly retracts at all. It gets caught in the door when you close it now.the worest thing is you have open your door to free it. Not very safe if you have started to drive away... Dealer would not fix under any of my warrenties.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the steering wheel jerked violently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 20,000 and the current mileage was 40,000.

When traveling on a gravel road or driving on some paved roads, the steering wheel of my truck pulls back and forth in my hand and grabs on bumps. This summer the problem was so severe i got under the truck to see what may be causing the movement.i found out there was no steering stabilizer shock installed on the truck.the brackets to house the stabilizer shock are there, but the steering stabilizer shock itself is not there. I took the truck to the dealer and was told by dealer that the truck doesn't come with a steering stabilizer shock.he didn't seem to know why the trucks don't come with the stabilizer shock, but there is an after-market part that the customer can order and they will install for about $200.i contacted general motors to ask for an explanation as to why such an important steering component was not provided in the truck.ramon from customer service called me to explain that the truck was "designed" without the steering stabilizer shock.there were brackets to house the shock included from the factory and indeed there is an after-market shock i could buy and have installed at my own expense.i argued that this was a safety issue and felt that this was a defective factory issue.the truck should come with the shock and it is not safe to drive under certain conditions without it.i don't believe people who are buying the new trucks are even aware that the steering stabilizer shock is missing.it will be just a matter of time before there is an accident caused by stable steering failure.i would like it put on record that if any injuries or accidents are caused by this "design" flaw, there should be recourse put directly upon the shoulders of general motors who delivered the trucks without this important part, who refuses to put the part on when the customer finds out, and does not even tell the customer that the part is not there.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd diesel. The contact stated that the steering system was pulling hard to the left while driving 40 mph. The steering wheel wobbled much more when driving uphill versus downhill.the vehicle was taken back to the dealer at least five times who inspected the failure and advised that they were unable to find the problem. The manufacturer was notified of the failure a minimum of ten times but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 10,500.

On saturday, november 16, 2019, i was attempting to exit my vehicle when i pulled the door handle only to have it break off in my hand.i went to reach to see if there was anything left to pull to open the door only to find the handle had broken off cleanly from the mechanism, leaving no other way to exit the vehicle other than rolling down the window and opening the door from the outside through the window or by sliding all the way across the vehicle to exit through the passenger side of the vehicle.immediately i thought that if this had been an emergency, such as a fire or wreck, i would probably not be able to exit the vehicle in a safe and timely manner, risking further injury or death.i called my local chevrolet dealership to inquire about a replacement handle & mechanism, only to be told that this is a common and systemic problem with most gm vehicles.i view this as a safety concern more than just a normal maintenance or repair issue, similar to the safety concern of a commercial aircraft's door not opening in case of an emergency exit during an accident.gm, ford, dodge, and all automobile makers should ensure that a common or systemic problem with a safety item, such as an exit door, should be corrected to avoid dangerous conditions.thank you.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd. The contact stated that the frame was rusted and corroded. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000 and the current mileage was 5,700.

The dash has cracked at the top right corner of the airbag on the passenger airbag. Nothing was done to cause the crack. It wasn't there one day and then it was there the next day.

The dashboard is cracked at the passenger airbag and directly above the instruments/steering wheel.

My dashboard started cracking and i went to the dealer and got told it was only a cosmetic problem. I seen hundreds of gm trucks with the same problem. I always used the windshield sun shield and only cleaned it with a damped cloth as per manufacture's recommendation. As of right now i am scared that if the airbags get activated they will make the dashboard fall apart in a crash. All this projectiles could injure the driver and the passenger since they are sharp and could fly at high speed.

While towing a 5th wheel trailer at 60 mph, the right rear (passenger) wheel came off the truck.five of the eight wheel studs sheared off, three others lost their lug nuts.the trailer weight did not exceed the axle, wheel or tire weight ratings.

Right front tire sidewall blew out. Tire is a michelin ltx ms2 size 275 70 18. This is the same series tire that michelin has already had a recall on but a different size. Can only suspect that this tire size has same problem since there is no visible evidence of the tire being cut anywhere as inspected by black's tire service in wilmington nc which was the nearest michelin dealer at the end of my trip to nc. Also have picture of tire if needed.

Dash is cracking around air bag cover.

Poor quality, sharp pieces of broken dash around passenger airbag. Crack extends to radio. Cheap plastic parts shame on gm for not recalling this. My 09 f-150 has no cracks or poor qc. This truck is not safe in the event of a collision anyone driving it should wear osha rated safety glasses.

The dash is cracked in two placed, one spot by the airbag and another very long crack from close to the windshield towards the steering wheel. The crack near the airbag was there when i bought the vehicle in 2012 1 year old from the chevy auto nation finance manager. The other happened over time.

I have a 2011 2500hd with the well known crack at the passenger side airbag. I believe that this is a safety issue. If i was involved in an accident part of the fact could become projectiles and hurt someone in the the vehicle.

Dash has cracked in 3 spots. Unknown

The dashboard is cracked around the air bag.

I started my 2011 chevy silverado 2500 6.6l diesel and my def and check engine light came on the dash telling me to check owners manual now. I plugged in my code reader to the vehicle and it gave me a code reading 'p20b9 reductant heater a control circuit open'. From what i could research online this seems to be a very common issue in these lml diesel trucks with the def system.

On 09/22/2014 at approximately 1610hrs i was traveling south on i-95 in the state of maine.i attempted to exit the highway near sidney, me.i tapped on the brake to cancel the cruise control.as i braked my vehicle attempted to speed up. When i applied the brake my vehicle down shifted and attempted to maintain its speed.this situation nearly caused me to have an accident and took aggressive braking to stop the vehicle.on 09/23/2014 i attempted to have this situation documented at frank galos chevorlet in saco, me.they refused to document the problem.i called general motors at 1-800-222-1020 and had the problem documented.complaint # [xxx].this incident could have been a near death or serious injury accident. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

2011 duramax diesel silverado 2500. When changing lanes in lake tahoe in heavy trafficengine suddenly went full throttle. I stood on brakes with both feet as the truck was burning rubber and nearly rear ended a handicapped van. I shut the engine off and the transmission slammed to a lower gear. Once i let traffic clear and re-started the computer reset and the throttle was fine. I managed to hook up my rv and head home but was careful not to accelerate very hard hoping it would not happen again. Truck is now in a local diesel repair shop being evaluated. Engine was revving close to 5,000 rpm. Thought for sure we were about to get in a serious accident or hit some people as there was very heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet silverado 2500. While driving approximately 25 mph, a loud explosion suddenly occurred and the passenger side exterior mirror dislodged from the mirror assembly. In turn, the mirror assembly detached from the vehicle. The failure occurred without warning or an impact occurring. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Vibration for the rear of the truck had been doing this since new. Took it to the dealer they balanced the tires in 7 mar 2012.no change vibration still there. Took it to discount tire rebalanced still no go.i wrote it off thinking this was normal for 2500 series trucks. Aug 2015 i upgraded the rims to forged j rated 6,600lbs and tires to h rated 4,940lbs. Because of the higher air pressure this made the vibration worse. I put the truck on jack stands and ran it in gear to trouble shoot the problem.what i found both rear axle hubs are warped causing the wheels to wobble severely. I took it to the dealer they initially did not want to listen to me and i had a video of it. They finally looked at the video and went to check out the truck. An hour later they call paying the truck was ready for pickup. They told me it was only out .015ths. I a trained mechanic and this is simply bs. I can see the wobble with by bare eyes that's more than .o15 thousands. On top of that it's not covered under the warranty.the truck had 96000 plus miles on it att.the dealer did not document this and basically wrote it off. I have a video of this but it's too big to send and it's in wmv format. Please give me an address and point of contact so i can send you the cd. The video says it all this is a factory defect plain and simple.
