Takata recall.it'sbeen 2 years since i received the first notification. At that time, i contacted the dealer and they said that the recall was active but they were running out of parts to fix the problem. So, i contacted gm customer service and they said that takata was working on it and they would send a notification once the parts available. I saw the alert on dash board a few times but i was waiting for the notification until today 02-12-18. I was checking my correspondence and i found a notice from tk holdingsinc.about the bankruptcy proceeding in japan.so, i contacted again the dealer and they said the same. No parts to fix it!! what else should i do?i don't want to be at risk if my vehicleis not safe in case of an accident.

Takata recall. Takata inflators-passanger side gm recall 49151. Received my notice in august 2016. Gm informed me they were studing it and would have an answer in 6 months. Same story in january 2017, july 2017, sept. 2017, november 2017, oct. 2018, oct. 2018, feb 2019, and finally july 2019. Stated gm sent report to nhtsa and are still waiting for a reply.this isunbelievable !who is responsible for for the safety in case of an accident and someone is hurt.it does not take 4 years to resolve the safety of this passenger inflator. Other companies have replaced this air bag.why is gm dragging their feet.
Check engine warning light came on then immediately lost all engine power completely stalled), electrical (except headlights), power steering, power brakes.engine would not restart after vehicle stopped (went into walk home mode), not even the horn would work!after about 20 minutes, the engine would restart and i could drive home, but with the check engine light on.i took the truck to the dealership the next day.the reprogrammed the main computer.after a few days, it happened again!took the truck back to the dealer.they said they would need to order a new computer, they reprogrammed the defective computer again and said they would call when the new one was in.the same condition repeated itself a few more times before the new computer came in and they replaced it.no problems since.i consider loosing all power in a turn onto an interstate rather dangerous!the dealership confided my experience was not at all unusual with these vehicles.

I have a problem with the trucks brakes appling themselves while driving. Took the vehicle to the dealer last year and the replaced the front brakes, brakes, rotors. Calipers, lnes . Seemed to help but still had a problem with brakes not releasing complete one or one wheels appling brake pressure at times. Has gotten worse but intermittent. Reporter to the dealer right front wheel got so hot it was smoking friday 9/2/20. Has been about a year and 5000 miles later took back to dealer could not duplicate the problem. Recommend flushing power steering fluid which i did. Not sure if problem fixed. Also reported severe frame rust dealer said must have been up north. Contacted chevroletsaid while the dealer had the truck would inspect and advise. No response after 3 days. Will include pictures. Appears frame has no rust protection.

When it rains or when the temperature is below 32f all the windows steam up and the defroster will not clear them up. This condition makes it vary hard to see out the windows. I have 2 of these 2010 silverados and they both do the same thing. The dealer ray skillman 3891 south post road indianapolis in told me they know they have a problem and chevrolet has no fix for the problem. I feel that this condition could cost my family and myself and other people their lives.
