The dashboard on my truck has cracked in the middle and leading around the passenger side air bag. This is a severe safety concern and i would like gm to recall and replace the cracked dash in my truck.

Takata recalli have been under recall since july, 2015 for this airbag on the passenger side of my truck. The recall itself states : "inflators subject to takata equipment recall 15e-041 were installed in certain 2007-2008 model year chevrolet silverado and gmc sierra 2500/3500 heavy dutypickup trucks as original equipment. In accordance with takata's defectdetermination for these takata inflators, gm is recalling these vehicles to replacethese takata inflators."(i retrieved this information off of the gm website, specifically related to my vin. Recall date :05/28/2015. This information is current as of today, 06/07/2016.on 07/31/2015, i called the number on my letter that i received in july, 2015 and placed a claim with gm. Gm advised me that the part was not available, but that they would contact me when it was. I never received any correspondence about the part being available.on 06/07/2016, i called the same number and spoke to a representative. She advised me that the part was still not available. I advised her that i frequently carry passengers, including children, and that i need a safe vehicle. I let her know that i placed a claim last year and i felt i should be able to get a rental or have this fixed. She opened a - new claim, with a new claim # - and advised me to call the dealership.dealership told me that he pulled my recall by my vin, and stated that it said "gm does not currently think this is a safety issue and that they do not feel that we need to have this fixed".note: i live in an extremely humid environment in the deep south of the usa. This type of humidity is exactly what is causing these airbags to rupture metal objects.i am not okay with these results. I have paper documentation as of today showing that i am in danger. I do not appreciate the way gm is treating me or my family.

I am filing a complaint due to a safety concern about my passenger airbag on my chevy.there is a crack on my dash where the airbag is stored creating a safety concern in case of an accident. The pressure from the airbag can make my dash a projectile killing passengers in the car. I have attempted to discuss this with gm/chevy but they don't want to recognize their faults. This is an issue that many chevy/gm customers are having. I have pictures of dashes with the cracks in the same place each time. Unfortunately many of these customers have attempted to discuss this concern with gm only to be turned away.
We no longer have this vehicle, it was totaled out, air bags deployed, but there were no injuries as to the result

"takata recall" my vehicle is affected by this recall. I have received mail from gm / chevrolet and have called several times. I have been told by gm that no repair is available and there no time frame to offer. In a recent conversation with chevrolet customer service i was told it could be an additional year or years and sorry they have no other information? this has been going on for several years we purchased and paid for the truck in good faith. The truck is parked in the garage based on nhtsa and gm recommendations and continuing news warnings. The truckis now almost 10 years old, we are not able to trade or sell it do to the issue and are basically stuck. The vehicle has just over 30k miles and at this point we only drive it if we have to. I feel it is unfair to have to continue to wait leaving the vehicle parked or driving the vehicle at risk of injury or death. At this point would it be fair for your office to step in and require gm to replace the vehicle with a new truck if there is no options available? while i like the truck very much i feel this is unreasonable and unfair at best.

There was a recall on the passenger side airbag inflator. I received a letter in july 2015 notifying me of recall. Parts were not available at the time. I have not received any additional correspondence. I searched the recall online and found the recall is still open, and parts are still not available. This is unacceptable as every time i drive my vehicle with my wife and children, they are at risk of metal coming through the airbag causing injury or death!

Takata recall. I've been asking for a remedy to this severe defect/recall for two years with the same canned response that parts are not available for the fix. I would think with multiple deaths related to this recall a fix would be in place and parts would be available.

Takata recall - recall was issued july 2015, status today on chev. Websites is parts and fix are unavailable - repair status is unknown. This is over 1 year with repairs.
The dash around the airbag is cracked. This is very common on 2007-2013 gm vehicles. It is clearly a manufacturers defect, considering nine times out of ten they are broken. The dash is cracked to the point where if the airbag went off, i would not feel safe,in fear of shrapnel coming from the dash being in front of the inflating air bags. Local dealer offered no fix, aside from an over $1,000 out of pocket repair. This is unacceptable.

I was making a left turn at an intersection when another vehicle slammed into my truck head on. My air bags did not even deploy. Although my vehicle was the larger of the two, i expected the bags to do their intended job, but they failed to do so.this was one year after the recall and general motors still don't have a remedy for the air bags
"takada recall" i went to a cheverlot dealer to have my airbag recall corrected, the dealer refused to work on it bease the dash was cracked.

Bnsf railroad owned 2007 chevy silverado 2500 (hd?)pick up truck involved in a multi-vehicle pileup on interstate i-25 near denver, co during a severe snow storm.accident involved approximately 50 vehicles along that stretch of highway. Driving northbound nearing johnson's corner exit and traveling between 35-45 mph, driver noticed a semi-truck sideways ahead and looked for an escape route off the right hand shoulder. When attempting to avoid the jackknifed semi by moving towards the shoulder, another vehicle or vehicles were piled up and or stopped on/along the shoulder area.the vehicle struck the back of a trailer truck but the airbags in the silverado did not deploy. Driver was wearing seatbelt at time of collision but sustained multiple injuries. Vehicle sustained extensive damage to front end. Railroad vehicle was reportedly not equipped with hyrail wheel assemblies but did have a two-way railroad radio installed.
The dash board is cracked from front to corner of airbag cover and middle front to dash board. Will this affect the air bag upon deployment?

Takata recall - it has now been over eighteen months since this recall was issued and nothing has been done. My understanding is that older models, in hot, humid climates, are most at risk. My vehicle is nine years old, and i reside in florida. While there has been no incident yet, i am reluctant to drive the vehicle in question. I cannot afford to replace it. Please expedite the solution for this.

Air bag light comes on sometimes and not others
Takata inflators: my 2007 chevrolet 2500 hd silverado has had an open recall for approximately 2 years. The letter said shards of metal may fly from the air bag in the case of deployment causing serious harm or death to occupants, however gm stated that the vehicle was still safe to drive?????? after this amount of time, the fact that my husband, children and grand children routinely ride in this truck. I think it is time that the recall be completed. I contacted gm and they said there is no new information. If they can't make the truck safe to drive, they should replace it with an equal truck at no cost to my family.

I've received my recall notice almost (2) years ago now. I travel out of state monthly, and afraid to travel at the best times, evenings, and it's taking a toll on me, as i'm afraid of whitetail deer being all over the road of which i travel. I've had a family member already killed by (1) of these air bags blowing up and taking his life from hitting that same animal that i can also hit. I'm tired of getting the run around from general motors telling me that the recall parts are not available etc etc. If they are still building my same truck, which they are, i told them than those bags are the same type, because the steering wheels have not changed, to please install one in my vehicle. Or disconnect my current bag, i don't want to dye yet. And i'm holding them accountable for my death in the event it was due to a "defective air bag". My family and my "lawyer" are aware of this.thank you,mr stine

Takata recal:i was notified in june of 2015 that the airbag was recalled. It is now 2016 and a "fix" has still not been made to address the problem. This far exceeds the reasonable amount oftime it should take to come up with a solution to something that can kill you.
Takata recall - it is absolutely unacceptable that after almost a year and a half there is no resolution to the takata airbag inflator problem. I drive my children daily in my affected vehicle, i shouldn't have to worry that one of the safety systems in the vehicle might actually be the thing that could injure kill me or my family. I think about this issue every time i drive my vehicle. As of may 2016 there have been 10 known deaths in the u.s. And 11 worldwide linked to the issue. More than 100 people have been injured. All i hear from chevrolet is that the parts from takata aren't available. At this point chevrolet needs to step up and take responsibility by coming up with an alternative solution or getting these dangerous vehicles off the road.

My husband has had 3 wrecks in this vehicle anywhere from 5-10 miles per hour up to 85+ mph and not once has any airbag went off! 2 were deer hits and the low mph was another car. I believe that going 85+ mph in any vehicle should send the airbags to set off. We were coming back from amarillo tx pulling a trailer behind and a deer jumped out in front of us hitting us in the radiator and tranny cooler system. We had our seat belts on and only injuries was just added herniated disks in my back. The body shop we took it to is no longer in service but our insurance co at the time is still open. I will contact them and get the info needed. I had a 2005 ford fusion and wrecked it only doing 12 mph and every airbag went off when the steering went out and i lost control and hit a 12 ft bank of ground. My suspension went 8 inches out the opposite side of impact as well as all airbags. I believe the air bag in our 2007 2500hd is a danger to us everyday! i don't know what company has the responsibility for the airbags not going off but there is something wrong with the airbags in this vehicle. I pray that someone reads my concern and does something about it! our 8 yr old granddaughter rides in this truck often and that is a concern as well. Another is my 18 yr old son drives it too along with his dad! something needs done with this airbag issue on this vehicle. As consumers, we have to trust that what vehicle we buy will be a safe one but it's getting where the older vehicles are more reliable than the newer ones (1990's to 2018)instead of risking our lives, over charging us for the new vehicle why don't you make them safer instead of more expensive and defective? just a thought that i think all car plant has forgotten about! lives matter!! quit putting money making in front of safety!! i will get pics from insurance and add them later. The date of accident is an approximate

Takata recall. I was notified in july 2015 that a safety recall was issued for the airbag inflator in my truck. I have tried (3) times since them to have my chevrolet dealer repair this. But as of 02/18/2016, i am still being told that "the type of repair needed for this vehicle has not been determined. We will notify you when it has". I find this totally unacceptable, as i need my vehicle to transport myself and my family, yet we are at constant risk for a defective part that could severely injure us or cause death. Can you do anything to expedite this repair?thank you.
The dash right next to the corner of the passenger side airbag has cracked and looks like it could effect the operation of the airbag in case of deployment. The crack became worse after having the airbag inflator replaced recently as part of a different recall. Additional cracks have appeared in other places on the dash since the crack by the airbag first appeared.

Takata recall -this recall campaign is almost a year old. Why don't they have replacement parts available for repair? this a serious matter as i just saw another person has been killed as the result of the defective airbags. This is unacceptable!.
While i was driving i had a head on collision bumper to bumper while i was going 35 and the other person was going 40 and over it was the others persons fault the air bags never deployed risking me and my passenger life or serious injury the truck was totaled and the other persons car as well and there air bag did deploy i've bought the truck new from showroom floor in 2007 it still has factory airbags that never worked.

2007 chevy silverado 2500hd. Smelt burning plastic from time to time and blamed it on outside fumes. August 2009 heater blower fan only worked on certain settings for a couple of days and finally totally failed. Looked up problem on internet and found that the blower resistor had failed which seemed to be a quite common problem. I located the problem myself and found the resistor and the wiring harness had melted together and the wires had melted the plastic off about 1 1/2" from the harness. From other research on the internet i found that one truck actually caught fire. I explainedto chevy customer servicemy safety concerns and my disgust as to why this problem is not a recall. I don't believe that they are interested in resolving the problem.could you please look into the matter some more and call electricalconnection.com for more info. They sell the replacement part in a kit for the diyer and from what they tell me it is a common defect with gm since 1999 and they sell quite alot of their kits to people who's vehicles are out of warranty.
While parked in the driveway, for over 48 hrs. The chevrolet silverado pickup caught fire causing over $7800.00 damage to the vehicle, and $2200.00 damage to the contents inside the vehicle. Not being at home at the time of the fire, i was informed by the fire dept. That the fire originated inside the cab of the truck, probably rear window defroster area, and was most probably an electrical malfunction.when i contacted the chev. Dealership. To report the incident, their reply to me was "call your insurance company"this vehicle was purchased new on 5/10/2007. Repeated communications with gm, and chevrolet division resulted in its denial of responsibility, i had the vehicle repaired at a private repair shop. Subsequent incidents have occurred, the following winter, where the rear window defroster has gone on without the truck running, and the keys removed. Several complaints were made to the dealership about this problem. Their findings were they could not find a problem. My insurance company has an ongoing law suit against gm, as of yet to no avail, and i am still driving a defective vehicle. I have disconnected the wire to the rear window defroster as i do not want another fire. I do have the fire dept, and sheriff's dept reports on the fire, plus photos of the vehicle immediately after the fire.

Vehicle was purchased new on 5/10/2007. On 7/20/2007 while parked in the driveway the vehicle caught fire. The fire dept. And police dept. At the scene at the time of the fire made reports stating the fire started inside the cab of the vehicle, most probably at the left rear corner of the cab. Most probably caused by an electrical malfunction. There was some trash located in the bed of the truck which after the rear window blew out, caught fire and caused damage to the bed area as well. Over $7000.00 damage done to the inside of the cab. And to the box of the truck. This is what the insurance co paid to repair the truck. When the dealership was called and the fire was reported to them. Their reply"call your insurance company" when explained that the fire dept and the police dept reports stated the fire started in the cab of the truck, and most probably an electrical malfunction, their reply again "call your insurance company" the insurance company repaired the body and interior damage caused by the fire, and is in subugation with chevrolet to recoup their losses. As yet chevrolet has done nothing to correct the electrical problem, and even denies there is an electrical malfunction. On 12/11/2007 at approx 8:15 am i observed that the truck after being parked overnight in the driveway. And covered with snow as there was about 7" of snow fall over night, the rear window was completely defrosted. The temperature at that time was 28 deg. F. There has been no contact from chevrolet to me since the better business bureau auto line program will not arbitrate because there is property damage .
A/c blower motor control module and wiring harness have failed 3 times. Fan speed 5 just stopped working and 1-4 still worked then 1-4 stopped working. I noticed a burning smell and discovered the wiring harness connection was melted. Oe was replaced with aftermarket parts which also failed . Replaced with aftermarket parts again . I was told by an a/c repairman that the wiring and harness were just a bad design and the last one i replaced would most likely fail also. There are many cases online of the same problem. I was parked when it failed the 1st time and i was driving when it failed the 2nd time and parked the 3rd time.

Took vehicle in for service and was told that a exhaust manifold bolt was broken.vehicle warranty had just expired and repair would be about 900.00.i researched this issue online and found that several other people have had this same issue with their gm product. This should be investigated as a possible recall.this being an emissions issue will cause my vehicle to fail the emissions test and could possibly cause exhaust in the passenger compartment.

On dec. 23, 2011, i took my silverado into joe firment for an exhaust leak (which is an emissions problem), so i wanted it fixed immediately.they found nothing.on may 22, 2012 i took my silverado back to joe firment for the 3rd time for this same issue - exhaust leak.at that time they had found one broken bolt on the exhaust manifold (actually there were two broken bolts that i found personally upon further inspection).my warranty covered the manifold but had just expired on may 7, 2012. I asked that they honor my warranty since the problem has been there since 2011, but they failed to diagnose it.joe firment refused to honor my warranty.i researched this issue online and found that several other people have had this same issue with their gm product.this should be investigated as a possible class action suit.how many similar complaints are on record?this being an emissions issue will cause my vehicle to fail the emissions test required to renew my license plates.this needs to be corrected and should be covered under my original warranty since the problem began within the warranty period.the dealership should have diagnosed it on the first appointment for this issue.

With the new epa regulations requiring the dpf on diesel engines there is a problem with gm trucks, where as when the truck goes into regeneration mode at low speeds, (ie heavy traffic) the fumes emitted are sucked back into the cab of the truck through the ventilation system.in my truck regeneration will happen each tank full of diesel (1-2 times per week).at high speeds this is not an issue.when the fumes are sucked back into the truck the occupants eyes will burn and you start to feel sleepy and or sick to your stomach.i have researched on-line in some of the forums and others are complaining that children will actually vomit from the smell in the cab.it seems there is a fix to this by chevy, however they are reluctant to correct the problem unless you make a large enough stink at the dealership level.i imagine because of the cost!it seems to me that an issue like this where fumes are being pulled into the vehicle is a safety problem that need to be addressed by an authority such as yourself.i cannot believe that these fumes are not going to eventually cause health issues, or even worst somebody falling asleep at the wheel and causing an accident.i just found out that there is a tsb from gm on this issue that i have been experiencing for over a year now but the dealerships don't tell you.i will be bringing my vehicle to the dealership next week and forcing this issue to get the part that needs to be fixed replaced.
I have had diesel exhaust fumes inthe 2007 silverado since i bought it new at the dealer. I put a carbon monixide detector in the truck . Went up to 495 lbs. Exhaust fumes entering the vehicle when coming to a complete stop.i have been to the dealer twice and they have observed the smell, but have no idea where it is coming from.they are suspecting that it is the new diesel after burner causing the smell.

My transmission cooler lines began leaking 3 months ago.i took it to the dealer and instead of them replacing the lines, they told me that i needed a new transmission and lines and it would cost me $6200 to fix it.
Problems when i back up and forward, the brakes make noise i went to the dealer and they tell me, that is normal, but for a new vehicle it's not i don't like it they don't do anything, this bother me, plus this is the third time i took it in and i told them since the first time that it was vibrating, it seems that they are some transmission problems too.
Leaking transmission cooler lines, failure at crimp between rubber line and metal line, started at 11,000 miles, replaced with new lines now leaking again at 20,000 miles.
The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado. While driving approximately 70 mph, the contact stated that the transmission oil cooler failed, causing the vehicle to loose transmission fluid. Took my silverado 2500 in for some maintenance and the dealer informed me the transmission cooler lines were leaking at the fittings from the cooler lines to the cooler. They also informed me this was a very common problem they have seen a lot of, but there is no recall and it would be a rather costly repair. I did not pay the outrageous fee and have not yet fixed the problem...
While doing routine maintenance on the truck i noticed the transmission cooler lines leaking. The failure is the cause of a poor fitting design on gm's behalf, and they have not committed to providing an updated part but instead choose to replace the lines with the same inadequate part. The leaking lines have not been replaced.

When the weather turns cold, the lines/crimps holding the rubber hose to the pipes fail and automatic transmission fluid is lost, sometimes in catastrophic manner, causing the vehicle to loose propulsion. Reports of failure are extremely common, and it is not unusual, that the lines may have been replaced 3 times within the 1st 50,000 miles. Gm has issued 'new, updated' parts, but they are no better than the original parts. The new part numbers are 20759971, 20759972, 20759973. While repair is covered on the 36k bumper to bumper warranty, there is no coverage on the 100k warranty. Gm should replace the lines free of charge for the 1st 100k miles with a hose that will not fail. Consumers can take the original gm line to a hydraulic shop, have the rubber portion of the lines replaced with standard hydraulic hose suitable for atf fluid and there are no further failures. If consumers can fix the lines, perhaps gm can find a solution.
The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado 2500.while driving between 40-60 mph, the vehicle vibrated from underneath.the vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions.the first time, the dealer did nothing to repair the vehicle.the second time, they replaced the drive shaft and rebuilt the rear end.the third time, they repaired the transmission.the current mileage was 1,200 and failure mileage was 400.
Transmission cooler line is leaking and needs to be replaced, when the weather turns cold the crimps fail and automatic trans fluid is lost causing the engine compartment to become a fire hazard when driving on the road. This is a very common problem due to the fact that the 4 other people i work with who have the same yr diesel truck or prior have had the exact same problem, not to mention countless other people online that i have talked to stating the same thing. Part number gm 20759971, gm 20759973, gm20759972. This is ridiculous that i as a consumer and everyone else have to pay for a defect that could possibly endanger my life or others in daily commuting. This is way to common to have us pay for the fact that they sent us out on the road with defective parts and are not willing to pay for there mistakes.
Gm has a design flaw on the trans cooler lines and steering lines that cause the to leak. Gm will not address to date. This occurs on the 2500hdand 3500hd duramax pickups the lines have only three crimps and start to leak in cold weather.

Had the 2 main brake lines that go from resovoir to abs control under carriage on frame fail and severely leak out brake fluid so i had no brakes at all in a very short amount of time. Luckily i was on a side street and not on highway.
My brake lines gave out, apparently they are all rusted and in bad shape.my vehicle had just finished an annual safety inspection at a repair shop.upon leaving the shop when i depressed the pedal to stop for a traffic light, the truck would not stop.the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the truck took approximately 3 - 4 times the normal distance to stop.there was no warning nor light indicating any issue with the brakes.

When operating vehicle in driveway, brake pedal suddenly went to the floor. Upon inspection it was found that a steel brake line toward the rear of vehicle had burst due to corrosion. In this case a complete loss of braking was noted resulting in a minor collision with a tree. No damage to the vehicle or driver. Since this truck is only approx. 5-6 years of age, it seems as though this is quite an early failure. Fortunately it failed in the driveway and not several minutes later when on the highway.
I noticed a puddle under truck on 4-5-2020. I took the truck to richardson chevrolet in standish on 4-6-2020 for an oil change. I was approaching intersection with red light .press down onbrakes and had no braking effect there was no approaching traffic ,went thur red light and across to entrance to parking lot had to use emergency brake to stop truck.
A year ago, i had to replace all of the major undercarriage lines after the transmission lines blew out. While having the transmission lines and brake lines replaced, i was told the fuel lines were split at the fire wall over the transmission and had to be replaced as well. It was @2k of an unexpected expense/upgrade.
While approaching a red light , applied brakes & pedal went to floor .truck went thru red light & intersection.coasted truck to stop while trying to pump brakes .limped truck to nearest parking lot. Popped hood & got out of truck .checked brake fluid reservoir ( full to line). Pumped brakes & looked for leak . Found fluid leaking under drivers side compartment from rusted brake lines running on top of frame.called aaa & had truck towed to repair shop.
When applying the brakes the pedal went very close to the floor with very little stopping power, when i took the truck to the chevrolet dealer they informed me a brake line had busted and the brake lines are rusted and all the brake lines have to be replaced at the sum of $1,400, this truck is used for a family vehicle and is not a work truck, i may be wrong but i feel 6 years is no way near the life expectancy of a safety system such as a brakes in this geographical area, i was told by the dealer that this was not uncommon.
"i was driving south on rt-13 in bristol township, pa.i had mywife with me coming back from walmart, traffic light turned red and brakes went to the floor and put on the emergency brake and luckily stopped before hitting anyone! brake fluid was leaking driver side near gas tank, there was no warning lights on dash or no reason to believe my brakes would fail.

Towing my 12000lb. 5th wheel on interstate 95 just south of palm coast fl. I puller over to check the brakes on the 5th wheel. Brake and power steering failure while driving.no indicator lights, no warnings.unable to stop or steer vehicle weighing over 6000 lbs.
When slowing to a stop, the abs system would let loose causing the truck to drift appx. 10 feet before stopping.
The contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado 2500.the contact purchased the vehicle with an integrated brake controller that is used for hauling a trailer with brakes.when he applies the brakes in his vehicle, the brakes on the trailer are supposed to illuminate simultaneously.however, this is not the case.while hauling a camper at 30 mph, each time the contact applied the brakes, the trailer would push the vehicle forward, nearly causing a rear end crash.the vehicle was taken to the dealer approximately 3 times.the first time, the dealer stated that they could not diagnose the failure because the system was brand new.the second time, the contact spoke with the service manager and was informed that they needed the proper tools to diagnose the failure.the third time, they inspected the vehicle and stated that the vehicle was supposed to have a 2.5 second delay from when he electronically applied the brakes in the vehicle to the time that it reached the trailer.the contact stated that it felt more like a 3.5 second delay.the failure mileage was between 500-1000 and the current mileage was 8,606.

The interior dash is cracking.the cracks are severe around the airbag and instrument cluster.based on my research, this is a problem with thousands of chevy vehicles 2007-2013. The cracks around the airbags are a definate safety hazard if the airbags deploy.sharp plastic pieces of the dash could act as projectiles.this appears to be a design problem with chevy's dash.
Dashboard is cracked above the instrument panel and the corner of the passenger side airbag. This is a known persistent problem with gm vehicles. Got quoted over 700 dollars to replace it.
Paint is peeling from front hood.separate research suggests this is a commonly reported problem with this model resulting from improper priming and finish coat paint procedure applied at the factory - defect.what can be done to resolve this issue?
I was making a left turn at an intersection when another vehicle slammed into my truck head on. My air bags did not even deploy. Although my vehicle was the larger of the two, i expected the bags to do their intended job, but they failed to do so.this was one year after the recall and general motors still don't have a remedy for the air bags
Paint is pealing off
The dash around the airbag is cracked.
I have a 2007 chevrolet 3/4 ton pickup purchased new. I hauled 4 cattle syrup tubs which weigh 250 lbs a piece a total weight of 1000 pounds to my land lease which was about 70 miles from where i purchased the tubs. By the time i got to my lease the tubs had moved around bed. When i removed the tubs our of the pickup they had caved in both finder wells and separated the finder wellfrom the bed causing about a 2-3 inch gap in the bed of by pickup. I have pictures of this. This pickup has 580000 miles on it and i can see the ground on the right side of the finder well by 2-3 inches. If chevrolet is sucha tough truck this should not of happened. I own a 2001 chevy 1/2 ton z71 have hauled the same amount of these tubs of 1000 lbs it dented the fender wells but never separatedthe bed. We own 6 chevrolet pickups and have always been happy with gm products but this certainly makes you wonder about the build chevy tough moto.i would appreciate a response on how to handle this as i feel this is a defect in this bed to come apart the way that it did.
Paint peeling from front hood.research suggests this is a very common factory defect related to improper priming paint and finish coat preparation procedure.i have a fleet of 4 vehicles and most are experiencing this problem.what can be done?

Dash cracked in four places. First was in 2010
In my truck, in the dash, there is a large crack that started back in 2017. The crack started very small. Every i hit a bump, no matter what size the bump is, it gets bigger and bigger. I need my dash to be fixed before i breaks completely.
When are we going to address the situation of : i'm doing 80 mph in the left lane on the interstate, and a semi truck doin 65 gets in my lane because there is a car on the side of the road. Which is more dangerous?
When parked on a gravel driveway the truck caught on fire in the engine compartment. The truck was in a rural area and the fire department took some time to arrive. The truck was a total loss. The truck had been driven approximetly 120 miles that day without incident. The truck had been parked appoximatly 1 1/2 hours before it self ignighted.
As many other 07-11 model gmc and chevrolet vehicle owners have reported, my dash has also cracked in two places on my 2007 chevrolet 2500hd ltz.my dash cracked above the passenger airbag and above the instrument cluster.now the cracks are getting longer and affecting other dash panels and making annoying rattle noises.gmc and chevrolet are obviously aware of this issue and are trying to pawn it off on owner irresponsibility when it is obviously a manufacturer defect.this defect is a safety issue as i seeit.if the passenger airbag goes off it can send shards of broken plastic dashboard through the inside of the truck causing occupant injury.gmc and chevrolet need to realize this and offer a recall to correct the issue before someone gets seriously hurt.they will wish they did when it happens.gmc and chevrolet sure have great customer service when you are purchasing one of their vehicles.however, the moment you have a problem and need their help they are quick to give you the run-around and tell you they can't do anything to help you.great customer service!i will never buy another gmc or chevrolet again.

On june 4, 2007 approx: 12:30 pm. Uncontrolled acceleration. Came up to a stop sign andrpms revved very loudly and truck took off on itsown into the middle of an intersection and jumped out in front of mac trucks. Brake pressure remained on to no avail, and had to push the truck into neutral to regain control. Called dealer to notify, and they said to bring it down.on june 4, 2007at2:30 pm.on the way down to the dealer truck again had uncontrolled acceleration. Was at a red light and again had pressure on the brake. As the cars began to move in front of me i lightly took foot off the brake pedal to accelerate without puttingthe, foot on the gas and the truck revved and took off once again this time landing vehicleon top of a medium strip platform. No damage, but i now had severe concern about driving this truck. On june 6, 2007 i received a call from the dealer saying the computer checkedout fine, anddrove the truck extensively. I lookedon it and it was eight miles, but they could not duplicate the problem. I tookthe truck home unwillingly, and 57 miles into theride home once again i stoppedfor traffic and lightly took footfoot off the brake and the truck accelerates andnearly hit the black fordin front. Called my husband to make him aware of the situation .and he promptly left a message on the dealer's voice mail.
