Gm has refused to cover all costs associated with the repair of the recalls on my vehicle. Specifically the added costs of transportation to a dealership to repair the vehicle.these cost are for a ferry to transport to the dealership.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While the contact was driving 45 mph, another vehicle drove through a red traffic light. As a result, the contact t-boned the other vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the face, back, and knees, which required medical attention. The contact was unaware of any injuries regarding the other vehicle. Air bags did not go off in a high speed crash. The pretension activities in the seatbelts but no air bag deployment. This was a 55 mph offset crash into an another vehicle.

Stabilitrak was set off due to air bag module going bad.when braking it locked up 3 of the 4 tires abs went nuts but didnā€™t stop it from locking up

Rear view camera on my 2019 silverado wt goes in and out when in reverse. It puts several lines which creating a fuzzy view on the screen. The picture on the screen prevents a clear picture of what's going on.when the breaks are applied the image clears up and once the breaks are release the fuzzy image returns.according to the dealership gm is working to fix the problem but has not come up with a solution. After reading several forums several other customers are experiencing the same issue. My kids drive the vehicle and this is major concern

When using the backup camera at night, it goes into full brightness blinding myself and all passengers. I cannot use the mirrors to back up my trailer because it is extremely overwhelming. I have covered it with a t-shirt so that i can actually see. There needs to be a way to turn it off but i cannot(literally tried every short of removing the fuse. Happens every time i drive so i am putting my purchase date.

Truck was purchased brand new. Since i first got it i've had problems with the backup camera flashing, going completely blank, and giving an error to service rear camera system. Always occurs while in reverse. Dealership has tried fixing issue several times and now states this safety issue is normal in their vehicles.11/25/19dealership replaced back up camera due to lines flashing through screen while backing up. Screen frequently went blank and would also give 'service rear vision system' error.01/09/20backup camera system continues to flash, go blank, and give error message. Dealership stated camera was tested and functioning as intended.10/22/20same issues persist with backup camera system. Dealership verified problem and replaced camera assembly on 12/14/20.01/27/21same problems persist. Dealership updated system and claimed not to be able to reproduce problem. While picking up vehicle flashing occurred before i even left the lot. Dealership requested i remove amp (installed long after problems started occurring; have documentation) before further diagnostics could be performed.02/26/21dealership said they checked other trucks in their lot which have the same issue. Says a voltage drop in the electrical system is what's causing the issue and stated there is no fix because this is a normal operation.03/05/21problems persist. Dealership built a new electrical harness and replaced radio system. Problem still continues.03/09/21talked to gm customer care. They state the safety issue with the backup camera flashing and going blank is 'operating as designed.'03/11/21customer care stated vehicle is performing properly and as expected even though back up camera system still having problems. Says there's nothing else they will do for me to fix the issue at this time.

Brand new truck an the back up camera flashes flickers, is terrible to see, backing up.gm says its normal. Not normal especially when the catalog says camera is hd 7", never seen a back up camera be able to flash and flicker when the lights are actuated brakes are on. Means there is a draw in the system. There is tinterference with it and the electrical system. I also have the traction control relay clicking everytime the traction control comes on. Have had three vehicles and never heard that to be normal. Head lights are so dim the cars behind me brighten the road . These lights dont even light the refelctors on the road. But apparently normal you can put led in , but have to pay for it. Just keep driving and cant see where your going until you get hurt. Also add led and void your warranty.

In cold temperatures, this truck constantly throws error codes 'trailer disconnected' 'lane change alert disabled', and 'rear cross traffic disabled'.these errors are extremely distracting and have nearly caused me to get into accidents clearing the errors. Gm is aware of the issue but has no solution. Please help.

Approximately 1 minute after startup, on a 85* plus day, with the vehicle sitting in the sun, the following failure alarms are displayed on the dash stabilitrack failure trailer braking system failure steering assist is reduced, caution should be used while driving. Sitting in park, the steering wheel jerks - untouched reduced engine power warning is displayed all analog gauges go to 0 and bounce on and off check engine light illuminates stabilitrak warning light illuminated ac disabled if this occurs while driving the engine runs rough, especially just off idle. Putting the transmission in l5 to eliminate afm, does not help. While driving the truck has experiencedloss of engine power, almost stalled total loss of power assist steering near zero manual steering capability.stabilitrak warning light will often go off after ~ 30 minutes the check engine light will remain on after failure but will go out when the vehicle sits overnight" failure not imminent when the truck has been in the shade

While traveling backwards in reverse, the backup camera flickers, becomes fuzzy, or has a white line through the 7" touchscreen anytime the brakes are applied.

Check engine light came on and is currently pulling the following codes. P25a2 u0146 u0101 u0100 mil status- off freeze frame dtc- u0146i had an oil change done by hare chevy in noblesville 2 weeks ago, never an issue with my truck until after i left the dealership. Stanley chevy in mccordsville looked at it this morning and said they have to order a bunch of parts for it, including new leaf springs for a truck that is less than 2 years oldā€¦never have heard of such a thing.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 40 mph, multiple warning indicators illuminated, including the service esc, service parking, speed limit 60 mph, traction control, and vehicle not in park. Also, while approaching a stop sign and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle slowed down until it stopped in the middle of the road. The police arrived, but a report was not filed. The contact stated that the vehicle turned off when it made a complete stop and was unable to restart. The vehicle was towed to lbj chevrolet inc. (located at 815 e washington st, nashville, nc 27856, (252) 677-9027). The vehicle was then towed to sir walter chevrolet (located at 8501 glenwood ave, raleigh, nc 27612, (919) 787-3700) where it was waiting to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 199.

While driving to school which is approx 70 miles from my house, i was approx 10 miles from my end location and had been driving for 1 hour and 15 minutes without issues. I was driving on i-70 at 75 mph when the truck completely shut down. The engine shut off, brakes went out, steering locked, all electrical shut off. The truck was dead for approx 4 seconds when it kicked back on on its own. The truck continued down the road like nothing had happened. The truck did the same thing about 3 miles after the first time the truck died. There were no more incidents during that trip. Later that same day i was pulling into kroger parking lot turning into a parking spot at about 5 mph when the truck completely shut down again. The truck was dead for approx 3-5 seconds each time with completely shutdown before completely restarting on its own and continuing like nothing happened.

Started the truck up and the check engine light, abs, brake, traction control lights were all on with a message in the center brake system failure. Limped vehicle to the dealership to have worked on. The braking system is working at about 10%. I am not the only person that this has happened to gm need to recall these trucks and get them fixed before someone dies

Rear back up camera continues to error need servicing.

Add me to the service esc group.... 12600 miles 2019 silverado 5.3 this happened after the recall was completed at my local chevy dealer, the truck through code p25a2 (the engine and transmission system is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the engine electrical system, including the charging and starting system that monitors and controls the engine starting system and 12v battery charging system. If the charge system light stays on, or comes on while driving, there may be a problem with the electrical charging system. Driving while this light is on could drain the battery. Several other lights came on as well, tc, break towing ect. A message stating use caution, do notdrive over 62 mph also came on. During this the breaks became mushy and the truck was difficult to stop.i will be taking the truck back to the chevy dealership in hopes they can fix the issue before myself or another person gets hurt in a crash caused by these issues.

Purchased new vehicle with less than 4,000 miles was running fine when parked. When it was cranked to go home listed esc failure, service steering column lock, trailering system failure, lane departure disabled, speed limited to 60 mph. I was able to get home, but the brakes were so hard that it was extremely difficult to stop. Local dealer it was purchased through "fixed it" less than 1,500 miles later i'm having the same issue! obd has the codes c0021, c0021, p25a2, p25a2, p0606. I do not feel safe driving this truck! if that issue were to happen approaching an intersection i would have no way of stopping in time. Ridiculous.

On 2/22, my vehicle had to be taken in to the dealership due to it not starting. My check engine light came on. The issue was supposedly a software issue. This issue has happened again and my vehicle is back at the dealership once again on 3/29. It was stated that gm will have to advise the tech on what to do for a permanent fix. This is a major inconvenience and disturbing. My vehicle would not start on 3 occasions because of this issue. The vehicle only has 11,800 miles on it.

Truck is 8 months old, less than 10k miles on it. Steering locked up backing out of my driveway. Esc warnings, and various other electrical warnings. Dealer stated it needs steering column or gear as they saw the codes and do not want me to drive the vehicle. Vehicle has been at dealer since november 1st (45 days and counting) gm has stated part should ship the week of december 30th... Even if it goes well this will be 60 days in a row without my truck! definitely should be compensated for this. Roadside assistance was 2 hours late, dealership gave away loaner, then when i got a loaner dealership asked me to bring it back within a week because they sold the loaner... Now driving a small suv instead of my big truck. Hmmmm.

When backing up the rear view camera flash's out everytime i press the brakes and also there are lines through the screen.

I was driving down i10 in baytown, tx the truck began to shake and i was unable to accelerate. I was in the middle of the highway hen the truck just decelerate and i was going 25 mi/hr in a 65 mi/hr zone.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While the vehicle was in reverse, the back up camera image would glitch and flicker. The image was distorted and difficult to view. The vehicle was taken to tipotex chevrolet (1600 north express way, hgwy 77, brownsville, tx) where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to a faulty computer; however, a remedy was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 9-5563675162. The failure mileage was 100.

Took truck in for recall to reprogram brake system software informed i have one of the 'few' trucks that will no accept update and apparently working to find solution

Rear view camera blury and fuzzy. Very poor street lighting while driving !safety related issues!!!!

From cold start and slowing down truck shifts erratically. Sometimes so violent when i try to accelerate from a stop the rpms rise..truck doesn't move right away..then its like something engages and it goes..making hard clunking noise..today my back tires actually peeled out and the rear end was hopping when it engaged.the issue is only when taking off..especially when first started up..yes i let it idle down 1st..and when stopping it is a shuddering/jerking stop..sometimes it feels like ive been hit.when these events take place i have no control of truck as it is lurching forward in fast jerky manner.

The backup camera blinks and fades out. Much of the time the screen is fuzzy. This occurs while stationary or in motion. During night time i can barely see what's behind me for the screen is dark and blurry.

Door lock actuators.. This can cause a child to open the door and fall out.no excuses on a 2019 vehicle.

Driving truck and noticed a jerk when accelerating on 1st and 2nd gear causing the vehicle to have a delayed acceleration could cause accidents in traffic. Also when shifting from reverse to drive the truck jerks violently as if the transmission can't engage or dropped and has the delayed issue forementionedthe main screen on the vehicle keeps cycling turns on and off repeatedly causing distraction and makes the vehicle computer system unusable

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the back up camera image was extremely fuzzy and the driver was unable to view images of objects positioned behind the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and wind gap chevrolet (1013 s. Broadway, wind gap, pa) were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 700. The vin was unknown.

I was backing up at a rate of 15 mph when a message flashed on my dashboard saying something along the lines of unsafe to drive over 62 mph, brake failure, electronic control system malfunction. I hit my brakes and nothing. I kept driving backwards. I couldn't stop until the truck came to a stop on it's own. I turned off the truck and turned it back on with a message saying 'see dealer braking system malfunction.' i was at a storage unit, leaving my unit.

While reversing the rear-view camera turns off intermittently.an error message shows on the display.the display also flashes while applying brakes in reverse.dealer states gm is aware and does not have a fix for this dangerous issue.vehicle has 3300 miles.video and paperwork available.

3 issues with lcd display used for radio. Hands free devices and backup camera.!st issue is after being parked for several hours, the display may freeze on its last radio setting or may go completely dead.car can be driven but there is no ability to use radio, hands free phone, maps from phone or back up camera.only fix is to run the vehicle for at least five minutes, remove the key and open and close the door.after about a minute the instruments shut down. Opening and closing the door will resetthe display and again it will function normally. 2 backup camera shuts off while backing up.3 entire display shuts down and restarts while vehicle is moving.all these events happen after the vehicle has sat idle for multiple hours.also within 5 minutes of starting to drive the car.these events have happened multiple times and getting more frequent.

Display module goes dark, un-operative, extremely dangerous when using bluetooth during a call or using navigation setting while driving. Power windows unresponsive (not stopping at a particular level, going all the way down) while driving. Substandard windshield inside trim, foam coming off. * transmission fluid leak while parked. Truck has been in the dealership shop many times for repeated same issues, specially the display screen module, two weeks after purchase july 2019 to present- dec 2020.

On june 16th 2019 i drove down to atlanta, ga for a baseball game. Midway i stopped for gas. When i turned back on the truck, i realized that i had lost a and if i get an amount of my braking ability. However, i had no lights on mu dash to indicate a failure to the braking system. I read on a gm forum that other owners experienced the problem, turned off the vehicle for 30 mins, turned back on the vehicle and the brakes worked again. They, however, had lights indicating a brake failure. I followed the forums suggestions and after 30 mins with my truck off, i drove the truck again and had no further issues. I took the vehicle into the service department, but as i expected they could not replicate the issue. I wanted to start a paper trail though incase the issue reoccurred. On july 10th the same braking issue occurred again. This time i was near my dealership in greenville, sc. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they were able to confirm a loss of over 50% of braking but no lights or check engine code (past or present) indicating a brake failure. I am very concerned and believe this truck is unsafe because of the braking issues and lack of confirmation of service lights on the truck dash. It is a death trap. They are not able to confirm a fix either due to not having a service error code to fix and turn off. Vehicle was in motion when issues occurred both times. On both occasion as, serious car accidents almost happened due to lack of braking ability.

Started vehicle up from a parking lot, proceeded to intersection.went to hit my brakes for the red light. And warning lights started flashing.i had about 10% of brakes at this point.could not stop for red light, but was able to steer to the right, parallel with the oncoming traffic to avoid a serious collision.the truck is setting at the dealership now. And i'm being told that parts are back ordered.

The 7 inch infotainment system which controls the lighting , blinker controls and various other controls to include on star connectivity will randomly not work upon start up and not work at all until the vehicle is shut off for a at least a couple of minutes. Some times the blinkers work properly and sometimes they don'ti have video proof of this however the file is too large to down load..i am worried the the computer controlling the lighting of the vehicle will fail..thank you

When backing the vehicle at night the camera screen is so bright it blinds the driver and chevy has no way of adjusting the screen brightness.as of 1-27-2020 chevrolet is failing to address the problem and it will cause a accident

Brake sensor went off, lights stayed on inside cab, radio screen and lights inside went out, tailgate went down while being driven and tools etc were lost. Radio came on and changed channels non stop for almost an hour even after shutting vehicle off 4 timea. After 8 hrs it was back to normal.

Truck would not start it would just keep cranking

The rear backup camera is full of static interference at night creating safety issues when trying to back up. It's virtually unusable and creates a safety hazard especially while traveling with my two children. I've almost crashed into different objects or vehicles in attempts to back up the truck. I took the truck in to have this fixed, two weeks after buying the vehicle. They were unable to fix this issue. I need some help on a resolution.

Vehicle camera system failed once and displayed needs repair service. Working at the moment

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the first day she drove the vehicle after it was delivered to her from hawaii, the brake pedal was depressed and made abnormal ticking sounds. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the failure recurred and the message "check the brake pad" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v814000 (seat belts), 19v888000 (electrical system), 20v792000 (seat belts) and 19v889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) however, there were no dealers in american samoa to perform the recall repairs. The dealer in hawaii was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70.

With only 500 miles on the truck/engine oil pressure has been dropping drastically while going from drive to idle. It drops frim 60 to under 30. Also battery power gauge drops well below 14 when originally was over 14. This also began at the same time oil pressure issues began.

I was in the parking lot at a grocery store in motion pulling out of a parking spot and my brakes and steering got very hard.i had to mash the brake pedal as hard as i could to get the truck to stop.it was hard to steer as well.there was lots of error messages and lights on. Service esc, top speed 62mph, service trailer brake. Had to wait 30 minutes and start truck. It runs now but check engine light is on. This is the second time this has happened.this first time i was in a drive thru and had to push the truck out of the way.if this happened on the highway or a busy street it could be deadly.i am not comfortable driving this truck anymore.

Out of nowhere multiple warning lights illuminated. Esc, brake system failure, trailer brake failure, do not go over 62 mph. Brakes were near non functioning.

Back up camera is fuzzy and intermittently displays service rear vision camera .chevrolet dealer has no answer says gm doesn't offer a repair option

I have had truck now in 5 times for each and parking brake errors and still not fixed . This is a high safety concern for my wife and me and anyone else who rides or drives on roads with us !!! this truck needs the lemon law enacted especially on my truck if no one else wants it !! need out of this contract and get a safer vehicle to get around in , am a disabled vet and don't need more problems in my life or possibly of killing us or anyone else because of this vehicle!!!

1.drivetrain issue: at the 1st. Start of the day, when shifting into d (drive gear) ;upon accelerating, the trucks transmission drops off between 1st and 2nd gear as if it were pausing for 1-2 seconds, then truck surges forward issue started the day i drove off the lot. Thought it was truck just working out a glitch, but has always persisted.2. Electrical issue: power mirrors; when power mirrors are folding inward mirrors do not close at the same time, started the day i drove off the lot. As time has passed it now has become an even larger issue, the power motor in mirror runs continually after it has been open or closed as well as mirror tilting when in reverse. Very distracting.3. Collision censor: issue started within last 90 days; i can be driving down the road/ highway at any time with no other obstacles in my area, nothing around my truckon any of the four sides, truck will sound warning alarm as well as the display in the dash. I make sure all censors are all clean of any dirt-ice-snow, very troubling when driving as it makes one think there is on coming obstacles.

The issue i have with my 2019 silverado is the rear vision or back up camera. The camera is basically useless at night because the resolution becomes extremely distorted and blurry. The camera will also go completely black while the vehicle is in motion such as backing into my driveway off a busy public road. I believe this is a extremely dangerous safety issue considering children are often riding bikes or playing on the sidewalk i'm backing across the enter my driveway. I have had the truck into the dealership for the problem but they claim the camera is working as it should making this situation extremely frustrating. I know this is not an isolated issue because my father has the exact same truck and we both have the problem also many people on forums have the problem. I really hope gm comes out with a fix for this issue before someone is killed or injured.

The rear view camera is absolutely blinding in low light conditions /at night. Also the screen is glitchy at best. The screen constantly cuts out and the picture distorts when applying the brakes. Compared to cameras and screens on other vehicle of lesser quality and less money this camera is absolutely unacceptable. A $52k truck should have a camera /infotainment screen of better quality than this. This technology has been out long enough to have hd quality as a standard feature. Gm should make this right or i'm sure there will be a lot of new ford customers in the coming years.

The rear backup camera is faulty. Randomly will get a blue screen (backup camera being inoperable) that says to "service rear vision system". Research online, says there is no current fix for this issue. I only have 600 miles on a brand new truck.

Pulling out of a gas station onto a highway my dash display showed "service power steering drive with care" i noticed i had no power assist to my steering and the steering was extremely hard to steer at best. I also received the message "service ecs" at this point i had little control of the direction the vehicle was going and managed to pull over. I also noticed the following functions stopped working, cruise control, traction control, lane assist, auto stop, etc. I let the vehicle sit about 20 minutes and restarted. No errors remained and i went on my way. Scary situation to be in on a highway.

My truck has an issue when at low speeds 30mph and under all check warning lights will come on my esc (electric steering control) will come on when this happens i loose power steering and when that happens the steering wheel returns to center. This has happened three times since buying the vehicle new i had not had the vehicle for a month when all the issue started to happen. When i loose the power steering the power for brakes go out as well i have almost been in an accident because of this it's a very scary situation when it happens. After all the warning lights would come on, power running boards would also cycle up and down on there own, the only light that would stay on was: service trailer brake system.

My truck is just over a year old. Has had 4 recalls on the braking system alone. One for excessive brake pad wear.the rear fenders have outward dents on them causing the paint to chip away. Dealership replaced drivers side, waiting to do passenger side.rear spoiler was leaking and flooded the back seat of the truck was repaired. Front passenger window became inoperable, ( repaired)rear dome light not working correctly ( not repaired)as noted on the vehicle history it had a hard shift out of park. A year later still does. When there is multiple recalls and reprogramming of braking systems i do not feel safe driving with my self in the car let alone my kids or my wife.i live in a very mountain area . I am scared to death to pull my boat or trailers down the mountains in fear of the brakes that have been worked on so many times in a yearactually work .. I can see one or maybe two times but not 5 or 6.

When backing up and stepping on the brake my backup camera shows lines and its blurry on the truck screen.

On trucks equipped with the cheaper low trim backup cameras anytime i touch the brakes while backing up the camera cuts out. It's usually a white flash or solid white line but on occasion will cut out completely to a black screen.

Putting vehicle in reversethe reverse camera pops up but is extremely low quality, i had better quality on a screen half this size from ford that was 6 years older the screen is hazy with lines running across it, while reversing or pressing the brakes the screen gets glitchy and will even completely cut off and say 'service vision system, i have less than 100 miles on this truck, this should not be happening but it seems the dealers have no fix for it apparently

Back up camera becomes "fuzzy" when put in reverse in the dark. This happens every time in the dark when there no lights outside/environment. This is really dangerous because what if someone walks in the back of the truck, and i can't see them because of the "fussy" camera.

When i went to start the vehicle 'service brake assist", 'trailer brake malfunction (no trailer attached) and "service ecs" warnings illuminated on the instrument panel.i acknowledged the codes and was driving away and the brakes didn't work. I had to stand on the peddles to stop. The check engine light came on also. I restarted the vehicle and the brakes worked but the check engine light has stayed on. Only have ~8000 miles on vehicle.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger door lock failed to unlock from the inside while attempting to use the door switch on the door panel. The vehicle was taken to (blaise alexander chevrolet located at (405 alexander dr, muncy, pa 17756, (570) 505-5530) where it was diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to state the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle performed as designed. A case was filed with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.

The back up camera screen is way too bright at night? so bright you can't see out back window and the passengers side mirror it's like the interior lights are on, there is no brightness adjustment for camera defaults to full bright, you can't even turn it off (probably a stupid rule someone made thinking about safety but it's actually unsafe if you can't see, it's very annoying but most of all unsafe because you can't see, i've been diving for 35 years and this is rediculous my other vehicle 2016 has complete control over the camera and brightness it's not a gm product. Gm says this is how it is, i and many other owners agree that this is a major safety issue if you can't see the sides of the vehicle gm really needs to add a brightness control for the camera they used to have it but it's been removed this leads me to believe that some agency has determined or came up with rules that doesn't allow you to turn off backup camera or change brightness if this is the case they have created a safety hazard it's unreasonable tonot have a choice.

Just driving lost brakes and esc came on won't speed up

The truck has had the battery die a few times over the past couple weeks for no apparent reason. Then we let it sit for a week and go to start it and all of our warning lights come on and lots of warnings start flashing across the screen stating reduced engine output, etc. The truck won't start. We hook it up to my husbands work van to charge the battery (per the request of the dealer) and it finally starts, but when it starts, the entire instrument cluster was out. We couldn't see anything. We let it sit overnight and started it again the next day and still nothing on the instrument cluster. The dealer sent a tow to pick it up. The look it over and can't find anything wrong with it. They disconnect the battery, reconnect the battery and now say it's fine. They want to charge us a fee because they couldn't find anything wrong with the truck, but obviously something was wrong or this wouldn't have happened.

The truck was parked in my home driveway monday afternoon. It was locked. On wednesday 2/24/21 our neighbor alerted my wife that there was smoke coming from the truck. We ran out there, but it was already heavily smoking and we could hear crackling and popping noises. Shortly after the truck was in flames. The fire department arrived, put out the flames. The fire marshal did an inspection and indicated it was likely an electrical fire near the tailgate/hitch/license plate.

One week after buying the truck in october 2019 an engine light came on regarding the break system, too the truck in and in a few days i had it back after reprograming the computer.27 jan 2021 after leaving work the breaks felt strange but with no alert i went on home. Coming up to a traffic light i tried to stop the truck but had no breaks, i proceeded through another red light with no breaks pumping the break peddle i finally had a little break and got the truck pulled over. I turned off the truck and called the dealership with no answer. I called and had my wife to come pick me up,she arrived and we decided to try and start the truck and see if the breaks would hold. We did make it to the dealership and they have had the truck for two days with no real answer as to what is going on! i called seven times 28 jan and finally had to go see what was going on all i got was we are working on it.called three times jan 29 with no reply and had to stop by and i they would tell me was that is was a module and coding issue. I asked for a loan vehicle and they said they would look into it and respond in the afternoon...we shall see very very frustrating.

360 camera system works, then screen goes blue with "service rear vision system"(xxxx) i have several children on my block and this could cause serious injurythis was from the day i bought itredacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

Multiple warning screens appear on the instrument panel and infotainment screen.theyflash on and off, like a light show, and are extremely distracting while driving, especially at night.each time they flash on they cause me to look down at the instrument panel.i am concerned this distraction will cause me to get in an accident.there is nothing i can do to turn them off.these warnings randomly appear whenever the vehicle is running, be it stationary, in motion, on a city street or a highway, turning, braking, pulling a trailer, not pulling a trailer. This safety risk has been ongoing ever since i purchased the vehicle new one month ago. I live in minnesota. I have brought the vehicle to a dealership for repairs twice, but the problem persists. I have been told that gm has been aware of the issue since last fall, but has failed to resolve the problem. I took photos of some of the warnings that have randomly appeared and will upload them with this report.

Vehicle lost all power while driving for 4-5 seconds.

Reverse camera cuts in and out when backing up, lines in screen with a message saying service reverse camera. Went to dealer and they have no fix for it, this is a safety concern as it is a camera for assisting long for a driving purpose.

We were merging onto a highway from a sideroad & the gauges started going crazy the truck died. Wouldn't restart. Luckily we were able to get off of highway & onto shoulder. Dealership has had truck since then. Today is 4/21/21.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle stall while stationary. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer win chevrolet, inc. (2201 e 223rd st, carson, ca 90810, (877) 476-6172) where it was diagnosed with needing an unknown part to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was referred to the dealer to have the vehicle repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Service brake system error messages appeared on the dic.

I was given a 2019 chevy silverado and when i turned the truck off the shift to park light would stay on and in february the brakes froze with the bad freeze when it thawed the brakes just started locking up by them selves i could not get over 5-6 mph so i made an app with dealership took it in told them what it was doing they had it a week they replaced shifter handle and bolt and reset codes i get the truck back did not have it 24 hrs i was leaving where i was fishing that morning i was going maybe 40 mph when the abs and other lights came on on dash and the brakes locked up again sending me sliding about 60 yards when i ended up in a ditch i tried to get out and the truck would not move so i get out and look to see my front passenger tire completely broke off folding up under truck. No one else was involved i automatically called dealership told them what happen filed a crash report and tow truck took truck back to dealership i contacted gm snd they sent an investigator to look at it but denied my claim said it was not a manufactur defect.. So no one is wanting to fix my truck now itā€™s still under warranty with less than 19000 miles on it... And if i was to pay out my pocket to fix it i feel that it will happen again cause the freeze did something to the electrical brake system.. The truck is a year and 4 mts old. Paid cash for it and not i canā€™t even drive it..

Drivers mirror problem can't close or mirror unattaches and opens clear to the windshield and comes lose and moves while driving so doesn't function correct and service steering wheel lick issues comes on.

On dec 16 i started my vehicle via the remote start. I then got in and my ecs, abs, traction control, steering and a lot more lights light up on the dashboard. I went to back it up i couldnt stop it unless i stuck my foot in it hard and i couldnt even steer it so i wouldnt wreck. Called onstar they said to drive carefully but needs to be serviced within 7days. I parked it found another way to work and had my vehicle towed to the dealership. They said it was fixed and was just a battery issues and they fixed a couple of recalls. Then on jan 26 not even a month later i was at the grocery store and started the truck, started backing up and the dashboard started lighting warnings and i couldnt get the truck to stop. Finally with everything i had i got it to stop. I had to get the vehicle home cause it was sunday so i put on my flashers drove less than 30mph and got it home thank goodness without causing a wreck. Had it towed back to another dealer and you know this dealer blamed the other dealer said they didnt do something right and they just reset the system. A week later, and again having it towed with my own insurance cause onstar wouldnt tow it to the dealer i wanted. I wasnt even offered a loaner vehicle.

When i back up the back up camera flashes out, is blurry, and it seems as if when i tap the brakes it makes the screen flash out causing a serious hazard. I've contacted gm they are at this point i assume ignoring me and refuse to help with this issue on my brand new truck. Now today my break monitor system flashes up red saying service system not my breaks or pads but something with the break system is apparently wrong now.

On january 22, 2020 i started the vehicle with using the mychevrolet phone app. I got into the truck and pushed the ignition button.the following three warnings appeared on the instrument panel: 1) brake system failure 62 mph top speed, 2)service trailer brake system, 3) service escabs, brake, traction control, and check engine lights illuminated.i turned the vehicle off and turned it back on again using the ignition button and all warnings and lights cleared except the check engine remained illuminated.the vehicle was parked when all of this happened.i received an email from onstar reporting that an issue with the antilock braking system was detected.this vehicle had just been into the dealer the prior week to fix one recall associated with the battery cable, and two other recalls associated with the brakes.

Started to drive my vehicle and the braking system was nearly gone. Brake pedal was all the way to the floor and the truck had to slow to a stop. Thankfully i was in a parking lot and not on the road because it would have put my well-being at risk align with others. Gm should be forced to recall all of the vehicles with this problem!!! how can anyone be allowedto sell a vehicle that will not properly stop when the brakes are applied?

So, i took it in 12/17/19 for oil change, etc. There was 3 recalls and picked the truck up 12/18/19. 12/19/19 at 6 pm the truck wouldn't stop! i took it on 12/19/19 and they looked into it. They reinstalled the software, and drove it longer to check it out. I picked it up yesterday, after being told it's good to go. Well, it happened again this morning!

Turned on truck and got multiple messages, "service esc" and "brake system failure - speed limited to 62 mph."braking was extremely limited - even at hardest effort, truck struggled to come to a complete stop.truck has 6700 miles and also brake pads are reporting 14%/18% life left which is innacurate based on amount of driving.

The esc light has come on and it becomes dangerously difficult to stop and/or steer. This is the 2nd time in one week. I brought it to the dealership after the first issue and was told it was all set. The day after i got the truck back, it's happening again. The check engine light now remains on and i'm waiting for a service appointment....again!!

Service esc, service trailer braking system, brake system failure 62mph top speed and a check engine light. Have another appointment at dealer after recall for esc brake module has been performed

My 2019 silverado is less than a year old and has 8,000 miles. I was backing into my driveway when it just shut off. Everything on the dash was visible as if the engine was still running. I tried to start the truck again and it would sound like it was trying to start but the engine would never start. The service esc can on and low power to the engine. My truck sat halfway in the start while waiting for a tow truck to come get the truck.

I have lost power to my brakes on 4 isolated occasions in the span of a month after purchasing this new vehicle. On each occurrence the service trailer brakes, service esc, service speeds and i would smell burning upon exiting the vehicle after operation. On 3 of the occasions i experienced this issue while stationary and upon starting the vehicle. On one occasion i was operating the vehicle at roughly 60 mph and engaged the brakes and lost power to the braking systems.

I took it tuesday 12/17/19 in for an oil change at 4k miles to get under 7k service. For my 2019 high country. As i was notified i was due for an oil change. I looked on onstar. Saw there was a recall and figured they could two things at once. Come to find out there were three recalls. Which i get it, things happen. I get it home tuesday night no issues. Thursday 12/19/19 around 6 pm, as i was backing out of my driveway and it wouldn't stop. I had to stand on the brakes. I am 6'2' and 300 lbs. I was able to get the vehicle in drive and again, the vehicle was not easily stopping. I had numerous dashboard displays. I took pictures of the displayed items. I called rick hendrick chevrolet at 6:53 pm on 12/19/19 and since i live close dropped it off at the dealer, as i was headed out of town sunday and wanted this fixed. So.... Here comes the issue besides it not stopping that i am even more fired up about! the service guy, called me friday morning to say they can't find anything wrong. Now, with the display saying service esc, trailer brake system, and brake system failure not to go above 62 mph, i am pretty sure it triggered an code and would be in code history. I told him i had pictures of the dash display and that they needed to check the code history. He told me at one point it was the vacuum, but then told me that the vacuum was an issue with last years model. And that he was having his master technician look at it. Around 4 pm on friday, with a family trip coming up sunday 12/22/19 and not hearing anything i called a few times to find out if i needed to rent a car or they could get me a loaner. I got a call around 5:13 pm on 12/19/19 telling me it's ready and they reinstalled the software and the master technician drove it. Said he is comfortable. I was scared then and scared now to put them back in that vehicle.

The vehicle was stationary and had just been started.the following warnings appear on my display, 1) 'action required, steering assist is reduced dive with care'.2)'service, trailer brake system'3) traction control / esc light appears on dash.at this point the steering wheel cannot be turned. I called onstar to run diagnostics. A code of u0100 is stored.errors will continue for 20 - 30 minutes and then go away.after that the truck is back to normal until it happens again.i have owned the truck for 2 1/2 months and seems to happens once a month so far.

Upon starting my truck the brake system failure 62 mph top speed warning appeared, service esc and service trailer brakes. My check engine light illuminated.i turned off my truck waited a couple minutes restarted the warnings did not appear but my check engine light is still illuminated. I drove approximately 5 miles did not exceed 40mph i drove with extreme caution and arrived home safely. It was brought to my attention that there is a current recall that is the result froma software update that was done by the dealership when my truck was being serviced in dec 2019 for a recall. The new recall could result in a crash.

Truck lost power steering and esc after 15k miles. Problem seems intermittent. Vehicle was parked at the time.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While the contact was attempting to pull out of the driveway, the abs, esc, and check engine warning indicators illuminated and the vehicle lost braking ability. The contact called roadside assistance and had the vehicle towed to mid state chevrolet buick (179 exit 67, sutton, wv 26001) on september 4, 2019. The dealer stated that the parts were not available. Repair the vehicle. Previously, on august 22, 2019, the vehicle was taken to ramey automotive richlands (2750 clinch st, richlands, va) where it was kept for sixteen days. The second dealer also stated that parts were not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 273.

After using the vehicles 4wd i got a esc service light which stayed on for 3 hours and wouldnt allow me to use the cruis ed control . Also ive noticed hardshifts and delayed shifts in the transmission when shifting from park to drive and from reverse to drive . And when reversing the vehicle sometimes the backuo camera does not come on like normal

Service abs, service esc, and "brake failure 62mph speed limited" lights come on and brake pedal goes to the floor with very very limited braking. Recall for brake control module reprogramming was completed on 1/03/20. Drove truck 1.5 limes and lights came back on and brake pedal went to the floor, steering also became stiff. This was always while driving the vehicle. Has happened on 4 different occasions

Had my truck parked for 5 hours at my grandparents went to leave and had no power steering and the service power steering message came on the dash when i started it in the driveway. I checked the power steering fluid and it was full. So i turned the truck off and let it sit for a few minutes and started it back up again and power steering was still out. I turned the truck off again and let it sit for a few minutes started it back up and the power steering was still out but i was able to steer easier than before so i drove home. Also at the same time the service esc message came on along with the light on the dash. The second time restarting the truck the service esc message and light went away. The recall that was to fix this issue had already been completed on my truck.i have been having transmission issues as well where the truck will jerk into second gear and when slowing down from 2nd to first it will jerk again. Took it to the dealership and they said there was no bulletins on this and nothing they can do. I asked the service guy then why does the transmission shift rough if there is nothing wrong? i quote "the new transmissions in these trucks are supposed to shift that way".

Was making a left-hand turn at an intersectioni hit a rough patch and truck bounced and pulled a little. When i came to a stop the following lights came on esc light traction control light as well as a steering one.

Weird brake and steering feel while driving. Speed did not exceed 35 mph in neighborhood driving.dic read:brake system failure max speed 62 mph service esc trailer brake system failure. Brake pedal was hard to push and unresponsive at times. Felt like we were dragging the back end at times. Steering was inconsistent. Parking brake was off. Stopped and started 3 times, reset the vehicle a few times. Prior to a big downhill, the last restart cleared the issue and the brake pedal went to the floor. Drove home and parked.to be honest, felt unsafe to drive especially with my son and wife in the car. Luckily we only had a short 3 miles home. Check engine light ononstar report received in email

Purchased vehicle new 7/5/20 (65 miles). 7/6/20 (95 miles), driving vehicle through neighborhood when service engine soon (ses) light came on-no other lights on ip cluster-drove to john l sullivan chevrolet (jls) to have inspected-found c25a2 code and programmed electronic brake control module (ebcm).7/18/20, backing vehicle up at about 5 mph(187 miles) ses light on again-checked code-c25a2-had brake system failure message flash on information center once.contacted jls for tow-jls verified code, but no light on, and stated chevrolet is aware of problem, but no fix available. States problem occurs when parking vehicle, and no park brake applied (stated ebcm sees wheel speed with key off, triggering code)-no other brake system indicators or warnings have come.this vehicle is brand new, with less than 200 miles.

I was driving down i10 in baytown, tx the truck began to shake and i was unable to accelerate. I was in the middle of the highway hen the truck just decelerate and i was going 25 mi/hr in a 65 mi/hr zone.

Hmmmm.

I keep getting a brake system failure 43mph top speed message i have taken my truck in multiple times to get fixed and we can't find the root of the problem. This error message happens once you start the vehicle and the brakes don't work.

Vehicle brakes were mushy and the check engine symbol displayed on the dash as was the symbol for steering( wavy lines under a car picture), also these three codes were scrolling on the dash: brake system failure 62 mph top speed, service trailer brake system, serviceesc.these issues repeated on three separate occasions.each time i took it to a chevrolet authorized dealership repair shop where i was told the issue was resolved.two different shops were used for three " repairs".the issues came up after i started the vehicle by puttingmy foot on the brake and pressing the start button.the codes began scrolling each time, and the brakes were not firm/ not normal.

Took truck in for recall to reprogram brake system software informed i have one of the 'few' trucks that will no accept update and apparently working to find solution

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 60 mph, the check engine, stability control, traction control, and abs warning indicators illuminated. Also, the "limited to 62 mph" message was displayed and the vehicle did not respond when the brakes were applied. The contact had to downshift for the vehicle to stop. The contact called onstar and was informed that codes: 925a2, p0606, and c0021 regarding the ecm, charging system, air bags, and transmission were detected. The vehicle was taken to gilbert chevrolet (3550 us-441, okeechobee, fl 34974, (863) 261-8947), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 423.

Started my vehicle and the following messages came up immediately: brake system failure 62 mph top speed, service esc, and service trailer brake system. Other lights were illuminated on the dash, such as check engine, esc, abs and parking brake. Without turning off the vehicle, i thought it was important to get the vehicle to the dealer immediately as for them to see the vehicle in it's current state. While driving to the dealer the brakes where not fully functional. I would press the brake fully down and it would coast to a stop. Depending on the speed would determine how far it would coast before it would stop. It was a very scary situation. Brake pedal had pressure but the brakes would not start to active until fully pressed. Even then the stop was very slow and would coast. Example, driving out of my office drive to the man road at 5-10mph it coasted a good 30-60 ft. Once the pedal was fully engaged. Vehicle has 667 miles.

On 1/10/20, i was driving home on a major freeway. Just before 5:00 pm i hit traffic and slowed down to roughly 5-10 mph. At that moment my dashboard lit up and a notification stating, "brake system failure" and "service esc" popped up on my dash. At that point i was unable to stop when applying my brakes. Luckily i had a large enough space between my truck and the car in front of me as well as the two lanes beside me having an opening and i was able to get over and coast to a complete stop on the shoulder. Extremely dangerous electronic malfunction. Had i lost my brakes 10 second sooner i would have been unable to stop and caused a potentially fatal car accident.

Lloss of braking. Dash warning abs; trailer brakes; traction control; abs; esc; do not exceed 62 mph.. No recall shown on vin ..called dealership and chevy no results on recall!? vehicle warning cleared off dash next day..warning lights and loss of brakes while driving truck on steep forest mountain roads..

Ridiculous.

Loss of brakes!!!started vehicle and received to following on dash display:*"service esc"*"brake system failure 62 mph top speed"*"service trailer brake system"*"abs" display*"brake" display*"esc" display

Reduced ability to brake my truck almost caused accident.. Warning light popped up abs, brake, traction control with warnings going across dash like brake system failure 62 mph top speed, service trailer brakes. Codes c0021 p0606,& p25a2. Had update for this problem a couple weeks ago and it was suppose to fix this the dealership said over the phone when called today. Never had this problem before.i am pretty sure that update just updates the messaging letting the driver know he or she is about to die. Taking it into dealer later today. Zf trw integrated brake control (ibc) had early manufacturing issue leaving metal shaving in the units. These shaving would score the walls and damage units,no ones investigating this issue because it would cost gm too much to replace all ibcs in every truck during early stages of the t1 launch. Trw knows of this issue and has piles of these sitting on engineers desks. There needs to be a recall on all early production t1 truck to replace these ibcs. Gm has only been replacing these on a case by case bases when someone reports this problem and their vin number falls within trw suspected problem dates. By this time its too late and can cause an accidents.

5 times since i purchased this truck one month ago; shortly after turning on, shifting into gear and starting to move the following displays on the dash 'service esc, service parking break, flashing orange check engine light', there may have been other lights too but those ones have been there every time. Usually it resets after stopping and turning the car off and on. The ride however is very jerky until i am able to do so and this is not a safe operation condition if there is not a quick and easy place to stop to reset. I have tried to have onstar pull the codes rice but they were not been able to do so in time and they tell me there is no problem when they connect to the onboard diagnostics. It appears they can't see history, only active codes. There was a brake recall on this truck that was supposedly reprogrammed before i took delivery but i suspect that the 'software fix' may not have been successful. In hindsight, my salesman also seemed like he may have been aware of this issue but didn't tell me about it. I say this because the day after i picked it up i noticed that front brake pad life indicated only 68% remaining which seemed low for a 'new' truck that had 2500 miles (had been dealer courtesy vehicle). His response when he tried to clarify was something along the lines of 'and you want me to have them look at the warning about the brakes?', in retrospect that response indicates to me that he may have had an awareness of this problem that i had not yet experienced and was not what i was asking about at the time. He never seemed to understand what i was getting at about the brake pad life when i reexplained so i eventually decide just to forget about it and resigned to the fact that i may have to put new brake pads on this truck before the lease is up in 39 months.

Had a short 5 mile drive to a restaurant. The truck sat for a few hours. Auto started the truck to warm. After 5-7 minutes i pressed the brake and turned on thetruck. It instantly threw 3 codes. Brake system failure. Service trailer brake system. Service esc. Turned the truck off then back on. No change same codes. Proceeded to get the truck back home when i noticed i had almost no brakes. Next morning after starting the truck i didn't have any code messages but did have service engine light. Truck drove and stopped as it normally did.

2/19/2020, after already having other complaints on here. I was leaving the gym, and as i was pulling out of the parking space i needed to press the brakes, and had to stand on them to get it to stop. Steering was locked up and finally got it stop. I put it in park took pictures of the dash. Turned it off and started it back up, and check engine light was on.

The truck was driven to the store, it was parked for roughly 20 mins. There was no issue with driving to the store. Upon returning to the truck and starting it in the store parking lot the digital display indicated that power steering service was required and esc service was required. After seeing this the driver tried to turn the wheel but had no power steering so they turned the truck off and let it sit for two minutes. The truck was restarted and the same fault information was displayed. The driver turned the vehicle off again, waited one to two minutes again, and restarted. The same faults were shown. The driver referenced the owners manual in an attempt to troubleshoot the problem. There was no solution in the manual. The truck was then driven back to the house 1.9 miles with no power steering. The truck was at the dealership service center and received services one week prior to this incident. The dealership did not say or show any faults during its services. Had this happened while the vehicle was moving and the driver did not have the strength to turn the wheel without assistance this could have been extremely dangerous.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle downshifted to 20 mph. Occasionally, the vehicle would stop moving and shut off. Additionally, the vehicle failed to shut off at times. Furthermore, the check engine, engine reduced power, low fuel, service trailer brake system, service 4wd, shift to park, service abs, reduced steering assist, back up camera, service esc, and reduce transmission function warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to dellenbach motors (3111 s college ave, fort collins, co 80525, (970) 226-2438) where it was diagnosed that the transmission connection failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-5621232945, but did not assist. The failure mileage was 1,800. The vin was invalid.

Oil line come off oil cooler front of engine while driving down the road cramping on hose not good enough.

Thousands of these vehicles have engine lifter failure problems at early mileage and if your vehicle is out of warranty you have to pay. These are vehicles with the afm 5.3 and many are failing. This is a well known problem and should be recalled soon. If your engine fails on the highway it can be extremely dangerous.

On 12/26/2019 at 05:40 am, i got in my truck (2019 silverado lt allstar) and started the engine. I immediately received multiple warning messages on my dash panel. They were "service esc", "brake system failure" "steering assist reduced" and to drive no faster than 62 mph. Prior to parking the night before on 12/25/2019 i had never had any problems whatsoever. On 12/26/2019 i was heading to work but found quickly that the brake pedel went all the way to the floor with very limited or basically no braking. The steering became very difficult with no apparent power assist.

Driving when a note came on the dash.'low oil pressure warning turn off engine immediately'. I did, and checked the oil. It is empty.there is only 30,000 km on this truck. Not impressed. Had to replace the rear brake pads that were worn out at only 25,000 km. Had a bad vibration when driving. It was a transmission mount issue.

When i was driving this vehicle first problem i start getting was the 4wd service light and won't be able to switch to 4wd, and was. Close to get in the wreck couple time during the winter storm. Second problem was when i was driving around 70mph on hwy truck got reduced engine power and slowed down my speed a lot, luckily i didn't have vehicle to close to me. Another problem i had was transmission issues, i was driving 25mph and my vehicle got blocked instant and won't move forward. Imagine if this happened on hwy driving 70mph and vehicle to stop/block the wheels and someone to be behind could be a big wreck. And after that issues truck won't go forward anymore, just on reverse

The "service brake system" and "service esc" lights came on, along with the service engine light and rough idle, resisted roll (slight brake applied, perhaps?) and per the dealer, no code was stored and there is no fix. Bulletin pit5728b says different and not to drive the vehicle until fixed. I am refusing to accept my vehicle back until fixed as of 27 apr 2021. I was driving up a hill at approx. 5 miles an hour, with coworker in vehicle. The transmission could not find a gear and the vehicle lost momentum and rolled backwards down the hill. I had to slam on my breaks before i hit another vehicle. We were at kaiser hospital assisting with the cooling towers of the hospital. I had to turn the vehicle off and then on, and slow make my way to the parking area. My coworker was extremely worried and felt the vehicle was unsafe, as did i. This problem has happened several times.

2019 silverado high country.124 miles the enginelight came on. Transmission would not shift out of a lower gear.i was driving 45 mph and had to pull over and have the vehicle towed. The vehicle iscurrently sitting at dan vaden pooler georgia.

When shifting from drive to reverse the transmission makes a grinding/slipping noise. At speeds over 30 mph same grinding/slipping noise occurs seldom. Dealer says it's normal.

Merging into 70 to 80 mph traffic on interstate i95my truck stalled abruptly to 45 mph and at 3000 rpm would not shift out of the lower gear it went it.i had to merge quickly to the emergency lane with on coming traffic doing all they could to get around around me. Had to have the vehicle towed.

On cold starts when approximately 2nd gear shifts around 20mph the truck feels like itā€™s slipping the gear and losing power. Has happened every time and thereā€™s under 5000 miles on vehicle

Truck would not start it would just keep cranking

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle vibrated and was difficult to shift when accelerating to 60 mph. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to kuni chevrolet (2449 fulton ave, sacramento, ca 95825, (916) 426-4089) four times where it was diagnosed that the exhaust was loose, the engine needed to be updated, the fluid needed to be changed, and the vehicle needed to be driven for 1,000 miles. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-5548811966. The failure mileage was 1,300. The vin was unknown.

Vehicle lost all power while driving for 4-5 seconds.

Failed lifter in engine due to gmā€™s terrible dfm and dod system. Left me stranded 500 miles from home and 450 miles from my destination.

The contact owned a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, an engine compartment fire had occurred. The fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. The vehicle was destroyed and towed away. A fire and police report was taken at the scene. The local dealer new rochelle chevrolet (291 main st. New rochelle ny) and the manufacturer were notified of the incident. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 8,000.

We were merging onto a highway from a sideroad & the gauges started going crazy the truck died. Wouldn't restart. Luckily we were able to get off of highway & onto shoulder. Dealership has had truck since then. Today is 4/21/21.

After performing the latest recalls the check engine light illuminated with a p25a2 code. I did not notice any change in the vehicle handling or performance. After i took the vehicle to the dealership for service they told me that they couldn't find an error code, only the p25a2 code which is to illuminate the check engine light. I believe it was the brake system that triggered the light if i recall what the service technician told me correctly.additionally, at idle speed, especially while turning the steering wheel the vehicle seems to lung forward at times creating the risk of a potential front end collision.

Upon starting the truck and putting it in drive, the parking brake maintenance light, check engine light and abs light came on. It provided multiple warnings that it needed service and put the engine in 'low power mode'.

While driving to work at 75mph my oil pressure went to 0 on the gauge and the instrumentation panel lit up saying 'no oil pressure turn off vehicle' i pulled over in a timely manner. I exited the truck to find oil leaking from multiple areas under the truck.i had my truck towed to terry marxen dealership in flagstaff az and the advisor told me it was a oil cooler line that had failed. Currently there is an open recall #n192220080for this in canada and the state of alaska only but it seems other vehicles are being affected here in the lower 48. This seems to be a safety issue as the engine can stall or lock up at various speeds causing uncertainties.

The transmission will sometimes hesitate/lag for a few seconds when shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear. This seems to occur only cold starts where the vehicle has sat for a long period, such as overnight.on the most recent occurrence, i was stopped at a stop sign on my road and began to turn left (northbound) on to the busy highway. While turning from the stop sign on to the highway, the vehicle vehicle hesitated mid-shift and i lost acceleration. After a few seconds, a loud clunk was then heard, the truck jerked - throwing me forward, and acceleration was restored. This delay resulted in a near-miss collision as there was an approaching vehicle headed southbound and i was stuck in their lane since my vehicle was not accelerating.issue reported to heartland chevrolet (501 rte 291, liberty, mo 64068) to document andinvestigate the issue. Vehicle taken to dealer next day. After 3 days of service, the dealer service team could not reproduce the issue and escalated to regional gm engineer (service manager called him directly.). Engineer stated that hesitation is normal.still an on-going issue; work around has been to let the vehicle idle longer before driving on a cold start. Sometimes you can "feel" the hesitation and know when to let off the gas pedal few a few seconds until the shift in to 2nd to avoid the vehicle throwing you forward, being able to have better "control" of the hesitation issue.

Very hard shift in the morning se jalonea muy fuerte en la maana y siempre hacelos cambios muy fuerte.cuando paro en un stop se siente que bronca hacia delante

Oil cooler line ruptured causing engine to lose oil pressure.fortunately, i was on a city street and was able to pull over and shut off the engine. Upon checking the engine i found excessive oil leaking to the ground.doing research on the internet this isnot a rare occurrence for these gmoil line hoses to fail.imagine this happening while driving 65 miles an hour on a highway and no where to pull over.

On 6/26/2019 while driving to work on hwy 287 while in motion my truck engine turned off on my 2019 chevrolet silverado texas edition 2.7 l color silver and i was almost rear ended and i immediately called smicklas chevrolet in oklahoma city where i purchased the truck and brought the truck to vandergriff chevrolet in arlington, tx to be looked at and serviced. This is the second truck that i purchased thathas done this to me the first one was a white truck 2019 chevrolet silverado texas edition 2.7 l that i didn't have for 24 hours. The dealership diagnosed it as a cam shaft sensor problem that was a manufacturer defect and i'm really dissatisfied with chevrolet as a company to keep selling a defective product. Knowing it can cause death or a accident

After noticing oil leaking from my vehicle, when parked, i researched on the internet for potential problems.i inspected the underside of the truck.oil was covering the skid plate, all the way to the back of the transmission pan.when i placed the truck on ramps the oil that had pooled on the skid plate ran out.these trucks have a known issue of leaking or rupturing oil cooler lines.general motors has chosen to ignore the problem.the nhtsa has issued a recall for vehicles only in alaska and canada, when the problem occurs everywhere.here is the recall id:n192220080 engine oil cooler lines detaching from crimp 'canada and state of alaska onlycopyright 2019 general motors.

A current recall for this issue stands in cananda and alaska.the eoc engine cooling lines leak oil.the eoc clamp and/or assembly loosens causing a sever oil leak.more common in colder climate areas.leak accrues at all times, when running or not.

I was driving down i10 in baytown, tx the truck began to shake and i was unable to accelerate. I was in the middle of the highway hen the truck just decelerate and i was going 25 mi/hr in a 65 mi/hr zone.

Oil cooler lines failed at the crimp of the rubber to metal line.at 43,000 mi, not covered under warranty.purchased lines and had them replaced.found oil spots on the driveway and investigated.because of the others misfortune and losing engines due to this, i did not start the vehicle.

Seemed as if the car would almost slip in and out gear when diving approx. 30-40 mph. I then noticed the check engine light came on and flashed engine reduction and seemed to lose some power. I took it in to the dealer, 2 days later they replaced r&r camshaft position actuator magnet intake.the next day after the truck back. I started the truck it put it in reverse and the engine stopped running but it seemed as if it the engine was still running as when you use the remote to start the truck, after the 4th try the truck stayed running but the engine reduction warning had lit up again. The truck has been back at the dealers for 6 days trying to figure out the problem

At about 45 mph on a city street, i tried to apply the brakes but the pedal fell completely to the floor and about 98% of the braking ability was gone.i was able to ride the truck up onto the shoulder to slow down and stop.after restarting the vehicle, it seemed that the brakes were working again so i tried to make it to the dealership (about 1.5 miles away).accelerating back up to speed was very jumpy - almost as if the engine was being starved.after getting up to about 35 mph, the brakes engaged intermittently without me touching the brake pedal.i pulled back over and had the vehicle towed to the rest of the way to the dealership.while stopped and engine idling, i observed a very noticeable knock coming from the engine.the dealership diagnosed the problem and is replacing the master brake cylinder and lifters in the engine.this failure was extremely dangerous and i was lucky that it did not cause an accident.

Truck will rev high and not move for 2 or 3 seconds when accelerating after stopping at redl lght then slam into first gear and lurch forward abruptly. The motor mounts are damaged from doing this over and over again. Engine has 44000 miles is serviced on time every time and not abused.

During darkness, i have my interior lights dim for it offers me better visibility at night, when i put the vehicle into reverse, the screen go full bright, it goes so bright that i have to stop what i'm doing (reversing) wait for eyes to adjust so i can then see the mirrors again.it is like having a flashlight shined into your eyes while looking in mirrors.

My backup camera at night when you go to reverse the camera is very bright, my wife holds a book over it so i can see out the windows.it is extremely bright but only in reverse, when driving the brightness is fine.this could case a safety issue if my son is driving at night, very difficult to back up and see your surroundings.

When backing the vehicle at night the camera screen is so bright it blinds the driver and chevy has no way of adjusting the screen brightness.as of 1-27-2020 chevrolet is failing to address the problem and it will cause a accident

The display for the back up camera at night is too bright and i can't dim it. I can't see out my mirrors to back up it's so bright. It's a hazard to drive.

When backing up the truck at night the center screen gets so bright that you cannot see anything from the rearview mirror or side mirrors the backup camera itself is a very poor quality camera at night and there is no option to dim the brightness of the screen or turn off the camera so i can see at the rearview mirror instead.

Rear view camera blury and fuzzy. Very poor street lighting while driving !safety related issues!!!!

Infotainment screen at night when in reverse backing up the rear camera display is so bright it blinds visibility of the surrounding area. Ive pulled in front of cars twice cause i cant see lights coming down the road, all i can see is a reflection of light inside my trucks windows from the brightness of the rear cam. Its almost to wear im about to make a cardboard cover to cover it so i can see. Love the truck but this makes me want to get rid of the new 50,000$ dollar truck i just bought.

The backup assist camera is too bright to see side mirrors and look out the back window when backing up in the dark. It is very dangerous to try and maneuver the vehicle with such a bright light in the cab.

When the truck is in reverse at night, the data system on the dashboard shines too brightly and makes it nearly impossible to use.you cannot look across the truck to use your passenger sideview mirror, nor use your rearview mirror.this caused me to back over a mailbox, and had caused a few near- misses while backing at night. The dealership told me that there is nothing that they can do.

Headlight housing dogs constantly and remains fogged for a length of time while driving. Headlight function diminished due to the fogging. Chevy states the headlights are vented and designed to behave this way but clearly this is a safety issue and the seal of the housing is faulty.

Truck would not start it would just keep cranking

Fuel tank rupturedriving on interstate hwy, towing ~5000lb rv at 60 mph. Never saw road debris, dealer insists it was ruptured tank. Tank is plastic and totally unprotected.dumped 20-25 gal fuel, lost power, barely got to shoulder and exit vehiclewith fuel vapors everywhere.numerous items could have easily ignited the truck/rv with huge potential for injury/death. Local volunteer fire dept responded.this was memorial day weekend, dangerous traffic, had to arrange towing both the gm truck plus the towed rv.no dealer would loan me a vehicle to tow with.dealer charged $1500 for repairs (replacement) of a $200 plastic tank.all could have been avoided with a $7.00 metal cover for the tank.

Repeated attempts by jones chevy, sumter sc, they have not identified the vibration problems with my new vehicle.22+ days in repair, multiple visits, and gm classifies harsh vibration as "normal characteristic" and closed the case, saying its final.i have contacted gm ceo with certified letter, discussed with exec. Customer support team, and posted on social media to find any solution.gm customer service is the worse i have ever experienced.so far dealer has conducted transmission drain and flush per a tsb, changed torque converter, evaluated vibration with pico scope, and problem still exists and persist.now today it's back at dealer for a prop shaft swap, from a new truck.my vehicle now has 6k miles, and problem started at 5k after the drain and flush.gm says the vibration is normal because of the dfm, dynamic fuel mgmt. System. I say bs.they are wrong, and no vehicle should vibrate at low or high speed to the point you feel it through the seat, steering column, steering wheel and harmonic distortion in the cab.gm knows what the problem is, they just don't want to admit.next step, arbritration?any feedback is much appreciated to solve this vibration issue.gm - do the right thing and issue a recall before someone gets hurt.remember the ignition problem?this problem isn't going away.

2019 silverado high country.124 miles the enginelight came on. Transmission would not shift out of a lower gear.i was driving 45 mph and had to pull over and have the vehicle towed. The vehicle iscurrently sitting at dan vaden pooler georgia.

I was driving at 65mph with cruise activated and i noticed a "shudder" and it lasted approximately 1 minute. 10 minutes later it happened once again. I was driving on i-40 and the road surface is level in the areas that i was driving. I purchased this truck new and it only has 11,000 miles on it. After searching causes of this issue online, i discovered that i was not alone and that numerous people have had the same issue on all models of gm cars and it is related to the 8 speed transmission. I have made an appointment to have the dealership where the truck was purchased to diagnose the issue.

Vehicle is producing a hard shift between 1st & 2nd gear primarily on cold starts.more recently is has been doing more through out the day but not as serve.this started around 7500 miles, currently at 23,000+.the vehicle has now been to three dealers (6+ attempts) with no resolution.one dealer took the valve body off for inspection and cleaning.other dealers have tried reprogramming.last attempt at repair was the week 8/25/2020 with no resolution as they could not duplicate the issue (had the vehicle for a week).the next day i experienced the harsh shift twice in one day.i also experience transmission slippage at constant speeds between 45 & 60mph.a bulletin came out from gm the week of 8/25/2020 indicating note to repair/replace the transmission as this is normal.how is this normal when it shift so hard it through the occupants forward and rearward in the seat.how is this safe for a young child/toddler?this has the potential to cause whiplash in younger children.i have in firm believe this is a cause for my neck and shoulder pain.as an added note: i have been working with the gm executive resolution team on this issue and again no resolution.i am also experiencing an issue with the parking brake coming on by itself when the vehicle is completely off and the key out of the vehicle.again dealers cannot duplicate even though one service rep witnessed it while dropping the vehicle off for service.this is a safety issue for anyone performing brake service as the brake could activate and cause a pinch point.overall i have several other electrical issues regarding radio, dic display & cruise control.only the dic display has been corrected.i also have had leaking rear slider and squeaks in the front left dash, right front floorboard and upper lh b-pillar.i also had the left dash panel replaced due to a broken tab.video upon request

This truck continues to slip out of gear when trying to accelerate.yesterday, as i attempted to cross a road, the transmission was "hung up" between gears resulting in a very dangerous situation where i was unable to move until traffic came much closer. It started from a stop and when i tried to cross the road it was shuddering between gears.this continues to happen on this vehicle.sometimes it's a hard shift, other times it slips out of gear and as i push the accelerator, the engine revs and it is not in a gear and it finally grinds into a gear and then there is a jolt when it slams into the gear and the truck lurches forward or sometimes it's enough to squeal the tires.

My transmission is shifting really hard particularly at slower speeds. When i begin to slow and then start to accelerate just a little bit it slams into gear at times causing the truck launch forward. I have had it back to the dealer no less then 4 times for the issue. They tell me the same thing every time. If we don't have a code or can't replicate it we can't fix it. From research i have done this seems to be a wide spread problem! i have real safety concerns. Specifically if it does one of these hard shifts while i am in traffic, i am afraid it will push me right into the back of the car in front of me.

The power train delays shifting from 1st to 2nd gear resulting in hesitation in forward movement or a very hard, abrupt lurching forward shift. This happen on the first drive of the day and then intermittently throughout the day. Both types of shifts create unsafe conditions. It seems the engine power is linked to the the shifting issue and either not enough or too much power is applied at the shift point. In one instance the power train was confused and could not decide whether to be in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear and shifted up and down while i was attempting to navigate congested city traffic at slow speed.gm service bulletin 20-na-102 and 16-na-361 suggest that the power train behavior is normal. When i returned the vehicle for service, this was the diagnosis.discussion with the service advisor indicated that in some instances other actions are taken to address the situation, but it is never eliminated.now customer satisfaction program n192272400 has been issued due to a faulty tcm which causes the wheels to lock up. This should be an urgent recall.these combined conditions create an unsafe vehicle that needs to be addressed and corrected.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the transmission failed and was replaced. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle shuddered with the check engine warning light illuminated. The failure recurred a third time. The vehicle was taken to jake sweeney chevrolet service dealer located at (33 w kemper rd, cincinnati, oh 45246) where a road test was completed and determined the transmission needed to be replaced for the third time. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was 11,000.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that on several occasions while moving off from a stand still, there was a hard shift in the transmission between first and second gear. The failure was also evident on the downshift from third gear to second gear while slowing the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to pride chevrolet located at 715 lynnway, lynn, ma 01905,(781) 780-4587 to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,800.

I purchased this vehicle back on february and noted that the transmission is kicking hard from first to second gear shift at all times. Went to the dealer and told me tech cannot find nothing wrong and that this is normal as is a 9 shift transmission. When at a fast food full line this vehicle shifted so hard that i almost hit the car on front on me. Having cars all my life and be a mechanic, i can tell you this hard shifting is a safety issue.

When shifting from reverse to drive the transmission makes a hard slamming sound. It also shutters when driving 70 mph. The dealer told me itā€™s normal.

When putting vehicle in drive from park it jumps forward even with foot on the brake. When going from reverse to drive it feels like the vehicle is not in gear and then engages and then the vehicle makes a clunk noise and abruptly jumps forward.there is also a issue when going from first to second when accelerating and the same when downshifting.the transmission on this vehicle is very erratic in nature, you never know what it is going to do every time you drive it.this has been happening since the first 100 miles and i now have 8600 and still happening.i have taken it to the dealer and they stated they could not get it to repeat the issue even after letting it sit outside in 20 degree weather to cool everything down.

When slowing down, the vehicle has a hard downshift. Usually it would be described as not being smooth. Today, while traveling about 40 mph with the foot off the accelerator, it downshifted so hard it felt like i was rear ended by another vehicle.

The transmission shifting from 1st to second gear has about a 5 second delay and then is a rough shift into 2nd. Only happens when the vehicle is cold from sitting for a long period like over night. After the one hard shift it doesn't do it the rest of the day. Done it since purchasing it in sept 2019. It's like it lags after you wake it up and hasn't had its coffee yet. Does not matter if i back down my driveway first and then into drive. The first shift of 1st to 2nd has a lag and its rough into 2nd.

After driving my 2019 rst silverado the truck startinghard shifting out of 1st gear when starting out. Now at 22000 miles along with it shifting hard out of 1st gear, it now is shuddering when driving at different speeds. When it shifts hard from 1st to 2nd it fills like it is going to drop the rear end out of the truck. This is not normal!

While taking off fist shift from 2nd to 3rd gear trans slips to the point of losing forward momentum for several seconds. Multiple times in shop and failed to duplicate problem. Happens daily.

I get into the vehicle while at my storage unit facility and within seconds turn the vehicle on by pressing the button on the dashboard. I immediately put the car in reverse. Three seconds after i am moving in reverse instrument panel starts flashing warning messages such as no speed over 62 mph, electronic brake systems something, service engine light came on and stayed on, and once again i was without brakes! i was not going fast, nor in traffic, but the fact remains i had no brakes, again! this issue was 'fixed' two months earlier in another recall for the brakes. This is not the first time i lost the ability to brake, but this will be the last time. This vehicle needs to be recalled in its entirety, i mean taken off the streets. It's not just the drivers of the truck who are in danger, other drivers, pedestrians, bicyclistsare also in danger. A fatality is imminent but i ask the nhtsa how many fatalities before this dangerous vehicle is taken off the road? every safety device on this vehicle has been recalled: airbags, seatbelt, and brake systems. This vehicle is not safe. The number of people who have lost the ability to brake are far greater than what is reported here.please don't expect gm to fix this issue when they don't even know the cause behind the problem to begin with! first it was onstar, now it is the company they hired to create their computerized brakes. Computers having so much control over vehicles, i'm learning, is not safe. Please contact me for more information. I'm more than happy to share my terrifying experiences with anyone who can help my fellow americans and myself!

This problem occurs after the vehicle has been driven any distance, but far enough to shift gears in the automatic transmission and when the auto engine stop is deactivated manually or auto engine stop doesn't activate due to driving conditions.when the vehicle comes to a complete stop the torque converter locks and causes the vehicle to lurch forward.the problem is noticeable in traffic, but more of a concern while precision parking and when moving slowly without throttle or brake being applied.this has happened in my vehicle and in all similar loaner vehicles that the dealership has assigned to me during service.specifically, when parking the vehicle and when inching forward to a complete stop without brake or throttle, the vehicle will suddenly lurch forward without warning and hit the sign, another car, or curb.this problem is not intermittent and happens during every drive and stop.

From a complete stop or changing from reverse to drive, the truck hesitates then jerks into drive.

A cold start on morning vehicle hesitates from reverse to drive and searches for the gear. Sometimes it slams into gear and feels like someone rear ended me. Under a year old been in shop 5 times. I was told to usemy brake pedal when i change gears. Truck is unsafe and will cause a crash

The 8 speed transmission sometimes gets hung in between gears or shifts very hard after it intermittently comes out of gear.this week, i went to cross a road on dry road conditions and the vehicle came out of gear, the engine revved and i was without a gear for 2-3 seconds, causing the oncoming traffic to be uncomfortably close by the time i regained power and was able to cross the road.there have been other times that i have been at a stop sign and i go to take off and the engine revs up as i hit the gas but it is not in gear and then abruptly snaps into gear, causing the tires to actually squeal.so this issue has happened when the truck is still moving and also when it was at a stop sign and not in motion,

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle loss motive power and stalled without warning.

When decelerating and braking near a complete stop (traveling in 5-40 mph traffic w/ lights) the transmission immediately downshifts hard (2 to 1) and jerks the car forward getting potentially close to other vehicles on the road.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the transmission failed. The contact stated that the vehicle shuddered, shook and loss motive power. The vehicle was taken to gator chevrolet (208 hatley st w, jasper, fl 32052) and was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer was unable to provide a solution for the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,900.

2019 chevy silverado, 5.3l with 8-speed transmission. Experienced intermittent transmission shudder at 32 - 44 mph. Vehicle serviced per gm ts bulletin to drain and flush transmission, replace defective fluid with atf mobile 1 synthetic.this was done twice and problem got worse.now shudders constantly at 32-44 mph.dealer was informed by gm tech that this is a normal characteristic for this model.i disagree!my brand new truck with only 5k miles should not be shuddering and shaking. Was told that the active fuel management system, 2 to 4 cylinder mode is suspect and affecting torque converter shudder. But this is normal?i have requested repair or replace or buy back and contacted gm corporate directly.gm senior advisor team has not yet contacted me.i have refused to drive it, and left it at the dealership until resolved.they gave me a loaner to drive in the meantime.appears lots of instances on the internet of similar issues and owners are not happy.why hasn't gm engineering fixed this problem or issued a recall yet?i am currently awaiting responses from gm / chevy for resolution. This is unacceptable.

Rk purchased a 2019 chevy silverado lt4x4crew in 12/2019 right from the start noticed hard unsettling lunging in transmission whilechanging gears fromreverse into drive.( hard jolt -lunging )it would, at timesjolt hard enough to slosh drink fromcups into the cup holder/ or lap !. At approximately 2500 mile range the transmission actually ceased up, would not go in reverse nor drive. The engines rpm had shot up to2500 -3000 rpm's and would barley crawl. Had it towed in to dealership . Reprogrammed the computer and stated that this should fix the issue , . But it didn't , still lunges and joltspretty much each morning or at unsuspected times while shifting fromrevere into drive. Currently has 6200 miles now 4/2020.have contacted gmand received a case numberthat no one seems wanting to address at the gm -chevrolet head quarters.

Hard shifts. It felt like someone hit me. The truck slams into gears as you are driving. Also, after doing a 3 point turn. There was an approxamententaly 3 second lag before going into gear. Ithit so hard that the truck shook. It felt like a collision. It has stumbled several times and made me doubt my ability to get out of the way of traffic.

Transmission will hesitate and shift very hard from 1st to 2nd gear especially in colder weather.this has happened since i purchased the truck.dealer changed transmission fluid and said hard hesitant shift was normal.

Was driving back home going around 65mph when all of the sudden it down shifted and eventually lose power. I pulled over restarted truck and check engine light turned on and would not shift out of first gear. I could not take it to the dealership that day as it was sunday and would have to wait till monday. Monday 10/14/19 came and i took it to the dealership. Dealership has still not fixed the problem, they have already replaced the pc module, and valve body. Now they are they saying they are going to replace the wiring harness on it. I do have a gm case #9-564919828, however they are no help and basically tell me the same thing as the dealership does. Truck has been at the dealership since 10/14/19 and have still not fixed it, todays day 12/05/19.

The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph, the rear tires and brakes seized with a message not to exceeded 60 mph was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact shifted the vehicle into neutral and back into drive multiple times for the vehicle to resume normal operation. The vehicle was driven to palm chevrolet (2300 sw college rd, ocala, fl 34471 (352) 433-4105) to be diagnosed however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure or retrieve a fault code. The failure recurred intermittently. While conducting a vin search, the contact became aware of nhtsa campaign number: 19v889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Purchased vehicle last october.mileage indicates 8857 miles, and brake indication says 97% brake life left.it was less than that a few months after owning it, then went to 97% and has stayed there.dealer says brake pads a fine.yes, no doubt but there is no way 97% can be left.transmission at times harmers into gear when shifting from first to second gear.document id 4605342 states first shift of the day maybe harsh.it's not just the first shift of the day that it happens.there are times shifting between first and second gear the vehicle briefly slows then hammers into second gear that jolts you in your seat, enough you shake in your seat.the most recent time it happened i was moving in a paved parking lot.

Hard shift from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 2nd to 3rd causing the engine to rev high - city driving. When towing boat in tow or camper in tow mode, transmission will not switch gears when it should causing high rev - city and highway driving. Dealership has had it multiple times but find "nothing" wrong every time and then it shifts hard upon leaving the dealership. This happens frequently throughout the year regardless of the weather.

I originally bought a new 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500 ld on 06/08/2019, i really liked the truck and its manyfeatures. After several weeks i noticed the whole underside frame and driveline components were rusted and corroded. I brought it back to my dealer and they immediately located a replacement vehicle for me. I picked up the 2nd new truck on 07/10/2019. This truck has the same defects as the first vehicle. Chevrolet has an issue with this model truck. I spoke to gm and they didn't seem to care blaming the dealer for not inspecting truck properly. I am very disappointed and unsure where to turn next, can you help me?

Transmission shuttering at low speed causes vibration in the steering wheel on eight speed transmissions. Two visits to dealer. Transmission fluid changed, not change. Informed this is inherent in this transmission, just have to live with it. Does not shutter in manual mode. Read florida has pending law suit filled. Very upsetting spend this kind of money for something gm should be able to either fix or replace transmission. Happens every time truck driven in (d) drive mode.

I bought a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500hd used and every since i've had it, it has a vibration at highway speeds. I've had it back to chenoweth ford where i bought it twice now and they sent me to harry green chevrolet dealer and no one has a clue what is causing it. I have been researching this year, make and model vehicle and have found alot of people with this same issue that they are calling the "chevy shake" which appears to have been going on since 2014 through 2020. I even found a class action lawsuit on this issue. The truck has 36,000 miles on it and i would say this is the reason the previous owner traded it off. I was given a rental car once when i took it in for repair because they had it until the next day. Which when i picked it up they said that the vibration was 90 percent gone but they couldn't get it to go away completely and that they had 3 different mechanics working on it.

From reverse going into drive has delay shift and shifts and jerks real hard before going into drive. Its not all the time but have notice iton different times. Feels like rear end or trans is slipping

1st. Is the transmission, vin: [xxx]. I have 1988 miles and today 05/28/2020 when i slow down to a light and get between 18-8mph when ever the transmission shifts down from 2nd to 1st gear, the car jerks and front tires lock for a 1/2 sec, you can hear the gear or what ever part slam in trans, also again wheels lock for a quick sec, even when i put trans in the race mode still dose it, when i stop slow or stop fast still dose it normal roads im in michigan, don't matter if brand new black top or beat up road, turning doesn't effect it , nothing when taking off only stopping, im very upset i bought a brand new car and having issues. Could bee some thing with the 4x4 engine for a second making the tires lock also 2nd 05/03/2020 is this happened once my car had 1231 miles on it and threw these codes, p25a2, u0146, u0100, u0101, p25a2, u0146, u0100, u0101 threw 8 codes when my engine light went off, it shut off a hour later.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that at start-up and occasionally while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel ceased to operate as designed. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 300.

Truck will rev high and not move for 2 or 3 seconds when accelerating after stopping at redl lght then slam into first gear and lurch forward abruptly. The motor mounts are damaged from doing this over and over again. Engine has 44000 miles is serviced on time every time and not abused.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While attempting to accelerate from a stop in traffic, the accelerator pedal was lightly depressed; however, the vehicle hard shifted between first and second gear and the vehicle went sideways. The contact avoided a crash and was concerned about the failure. The vehicle was taken to jim butler chevrolet (59 gravois bluffs blvd, fenton, mo 63026, (636) 349-3222) on four separate occasions to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle operated as intended. The transmission was re-calibrated; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10. The vin was not available.

Transmission issues shifting problems and shattering when driving

Driving truck and noticed a jerk when accelerating on 1st and 2nd gear causing the vehicle to have a delayed acceleration could cause accidents in traffic. Also when shifting from reverse to drive the truck jerks violently as if the transmission can't engage or dropped and has the delayed issue forementionedthe main screen on the vehicle keeps cycling turns on and off repeatedly causing distraction and makes the vehicle computer system unusable

Ongoing communication between local dealer and chevy/gm executive support team to fix shudder/vibration is not resolved.chevy states "normal characteristic" for this model vehicle, 2019 silverado 5.3, 8 speed.i vehemently disagree.gm approved torque converts swap and then problem got much worse.they now say, resolution is final, this in normal! pleaded with dealership general mgr, to contact district supervisors to re-evaluate.now they are going to run pico test and comparative analysis against 2 new truck on their lot.my truck only has 6k miles and should shake and vibrate, but it does and getting worse.harmonic distortion within cab getting worse.seems the more miles i put on it, the worse it gets.after drain and flush of transmission, per tsb, now also had delayed shifting, and having to brake hard when downshifting because it wants to lurch forward.frustrating at best, but safety and risk of injury are my immediate concern.need help!

8l90 automatic transmission will lurch forward abruptly when shifting from 1-2 gear. Also, hard shift from 1-2 when cold.

My truck when it is in the city and i?m approaching a stop sign the transmission makes the vehicle shake. The aggressive shake only happens when i?m bringing my truck to a stop after going past the first gear. It can happen in the city and highway, but this only happens when the vehicle goes past the first gear and bringing the vehicle to a completer stop. I got the vehicle checked out and the dealer mechanic assumed the problem would get fixed after updating my truck from the recent break recall. But unfortunately the shaking when i put my truck to a stop still continues.

Automatic transmission and brake pressure problems. The automation transmission jerks when accelerating from zeromiles per hour or at low speeds. It can dramatically increase the rate of an incident due to the powerful movement that the movement does to the whole truck. You can then feel the whole truck sway back and fourth due to the impact. This "jerking" from the start can increase the risk of hitting anything in front of you because of it not being controlled properly when moving in close proximity areas such as high volume traffic areas, high counts of pedestrians walking across the street, parallel parking, and parking close to another car in front of you or any other type of object in front of you.the brake applications take an extreme amount of pressure to stop the vehicle at all given times. My truck is brand new and purchased on 9/18/2019.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 5 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed and the vehicle began to jerk backward and forward. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jessup auto plaza (68111 e. Palm canyon dr, cathedral city, ca 92234, (760) 989-4071) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that an unspecified update needed to be performed. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 17,811.

Vehicle shifts harshly making control questionable at times. I went to accelerate around a vehicle lost all power until it found a gear. Someone will get hurt because of this truck especially on slippery winter roads. Been to the dealership 3 times no fix. Please help

Every morning since vehicle was new has 2600 on it now when cold i pull out onto street when vehicle shifts from first to second gear the shift shift slips and flares like it s in neutral and vehicle will hesitate slow down while it's waiting to get into second gear, this is a safety issue because their is no forward movement during this and possibly could cause an accident because vehicle won't move quick enough, after shift 2-3 is perfect and 3-4 will do same thing slip and flare, i've been told this is normal but i am a automotive tech and have been for over thirty years there is definitely something wrong with trans but gm won't admit problem this is wide spread as there are the same other complaints on this website.

I was stopped on a hillside with engine running, shift lever in park, and the truck started to roll backwards. The truck computer put on the emergency brakes. I tried this three different times with the same problem of it rolling backwards.

When backing out of the driveway and shifting from reverse to drive the transmission slows the engine before slamming into second gear. During the entire driver the transmission shakes before shifting into any gear. I took it to patriot chevy in warminster, pa on 8/2/21. They said they reset the computer module. I tested it immediately and nothing changed.

8 speed transmission. There are times slips between gears or surges ahead when it shifts up. Notified dealer 4 times but they say its normal that it is just how the 8speed transmission acts; it is not normal. When it slips there is concern of not getting out of the way of oncoming traffic. When it surges forward it throws my head against head rest.

I bought this truck new in 2019. I have had it back to the dealership numerous times. When you put the truck in reverse and then pull back into drive to take off the truck jerks you so hard that it even squeals the tires. I talked to another chevrolet dealership in cookeville tn and they said they are aware or the issue and currently have 9 other trucks with the same complaints.there was another gut in that service department the same day also complaining about the same issue with his truck . Every time i take it back to the murfreesboro dealership they say they can not find the problem and they do not know of any issues which i find hard to believe. This issues has been present from the first day i purchased this truck

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. When the gear was shifted into reverse and then shifted back into drive, the vehicle jerked and lunged forward. On one occasion, the contact nearly struck a pedestrian. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer test drove the vehicle and was able to recreate the failure; however, the dealer was unable to receive a failure code. The contact also stated that the dealer test drove another 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500 and was able to recreate the shift failure. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-548-7097056. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 1,200.

When i take off the truck jerks and shakes until about 5-10 mph. It sees like the transmission is not going into gear. It happens when i first take off to go.

When cold, the transmission has a hard slip when shifting between 1st and 2nd gear. Usually happens in the morning when i am leaving my house.on icy/snow covered road it will cause the rear wheels to lose traction.thus creating a safety hazard for me, other vehicles or pedestrians on the roadway.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact noticed the transmission had a delay when changing gears from reverse into drive. In addition, when the vehicle was placed in reversed, it lurched forward roughly and felt as if it would stall. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The contact emailed reliance chevrolet buick gmc (5020 7th st, bay city, tx 77414, (904) 701-0493), informing them that the vehicle started with a delay from first to second gear, difficulty shifting from first to second gear, and a delay in moving forward when shifting gears. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 6,000.*pm

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that the propeller shaft that held the tires in the rear of the vehicle fractured. The failure caused the vehicle to shake and became unstable while being driven. The vehicle was towed to bert ogden mission chevrolet (1400 e expressway 83, mission, tx 78572, (956) 205-1431) where they repaired the vehicle and replaced the same part. The contact still felt unsafe driving the vehicle even with the repairs being completed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 5,049.

My son was in the backseat by himself behind the driver seat.got tangled in the seat belt and it kept ratcheting.it would not release and started to suffocate him around his lungs.we ended up cutting the seat belt to get him out.the seat belt would not release after the vehicle was stopped and turned off.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that at start-up and occasionally while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel ceased to operate as designed. Additionally, the vehicle occasionally failed to respond when shifted into drive however, the reverse gear worked as designed. The power steering assist warning light was illuminated. The contact recently noticed that the rear driver's side seat belt was not stitched properly. The seat belt strap loosened while attempting to secure his child in the seat belt. Mtn view chevy (310 e 20th st, chattanooga, tn 37408) was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that the vehicle was over the warranty coverage and there were no recalls associated with the failures. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and opened a case but informed the contact that recalls were vin specific and the vin was not included in any recalls associated with the failures. The manufacturer referred the contact to an authorized dealer to have the vehicle diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000. Invalid vin.

Reclining mechanism on passenger seat slips despite the seat not being adjusted

I ended up coasting through an intersection because my brakes went from 100% to maybe 5% capacity.i was only going maybe 25mph when this occurred and thank god that no one was coming through the intersection when i couldn't stop.

06/26/2020 i was involved in an accident where my brakes failed. I have had all previous recalls, and one of the recalls made the brake failure worse than the origional brake recalls. I was following at a safe distance when the car if ft of mr stopped quickly. I applied hard brake pressure(easily enough pressure to properly stop) but pressing hard the truck slowed down but at full hard push brake pedal my truck a chevy silverado 2020 just wouldnt stop correctly. There is a current recall for this issue i'm finding out now that it has happened to me. My truck has been taken into shop but i need to know my options and where to go from here. I've advised my insurance co of this recall defect and have contacted my attorney to seek damages.

Twice when pulling a small empty trailer recently, i came to a stop sign and had almost no braking power. The brake pedal was hard as concrete with almost no travel and i had to stand on it to stop the truck which rolled into the intersection both times. Both attempted stops were from a low speed and i didn't have any issues before or after and no warning lights. Good thing i live in a small town with very little traffic or i could have been t-boned.

Rear brake pads sticky on brake discafter car washing and back to my home the brakes still blocked and pads sticked on brake disc

Started truck and immediately traction control, malfunction indicator lamp, and brake light appeared on dash. Messages also appeared saying the vehicle will not exceed 43 mph, and that the brake system had failed. Avoided expressway going home, and was not able to exceed 43 mph. Next day chevrolet roadside assistance towed truck to riverside chevrolet, wetumpka, al. Service rep said master cylinder "came apart" and nothing like this was seen before (they sell and service a lot of trucks). Master cylinder replaced. Drove truck home about 25 miles and brakes worked fine. Will update if problem happens again.

Was making a left-hand turn at an intersectioni hit a rough patch and truck bounced and pulled a little. When i came to a stop the following lights came on esc light traction control light as well as a steering one.

Lost all brakes, brake pedal had to be pushed all the way to the floor to stop the vehicle at 5mph

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 20 mph and depressing the brake pedal to come to a complete stop, the vehicle failed to stop and the contact applied excessive force to the brake pedal. The vehicle went through an intersection where it came to a rolling stop. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was towed to lou fusz chevrolet (5120 n service rd, st peters, mo 63376, (636) 875-5400) where it was diagnosed, but no failure code was found. A driving test was also completed, but the technician could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 9-5453112774. The approximate failure mileage was 1,800.

My brakes failed at 3500 miles on my 2019 silverado. The dealer performed an update #n192268091 on the vehicle and told me that this had an 80 percent chance of taking care of the brakes not failing in the future, leaving a 20 percent chance that they will fail again. This to me is unacceptable to me and my family. Now when i drive this vehicle i get chest pains and just don't want it anymore. Please help me!

Parked in drive way started truck and message popped up saying dont drive over 60 and lights on dash.break peddle also hard to push.

Abs, esc, trailer braking system continues to fail.i have had it in the shop three times for this defect.the truck has had 5 recalls, one for the seatbelt, four for the brakes.i drive a lot of miles in rough conditions and do not feel safe in this vehicle.my warranty is up in about 7000 and i don't want to be stuck with this unsafe vehicle.

The breaks when stopping at a stop signe went almost to the floor and almost didn't stop once stopped the pedal started pushing back against my foot till they return to the top of the pedal then the truck started creeping forward when pushing back on the breaks the pedal was very stiff very hard to get truck to stop then pedal slowly leaks down to the floor at this point the truck dash will beep and a message saying service break assist will appear this problem is happening every time i try to stop

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact mentioned that the vehicle coasted until it came to a complete stop. The vehicle was taken to rotolo chevrolet (16666 s highland ave, fontana, ca 92336, (909) 333-6924) where the brake module was reprogrammed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was 3,360.

2019 chevy 1500 trail boss double cab: the backup camera cuts in and out when you apply pressure to the brakes. This could cause issues when you rely on this and then the camera cuts off and boom... You hit something/someone because the backup camera cuts off.

Brake system failure vehicle speed limited to 100 kph ecs failed . Brake recall and seat belt recall performed dec 28 2019 error trailer brake requires service never towed with this vehicle resolve pending vehicle as at a local dealer . 4160 kilometer on vehicle

The electronic brake system failed and three error messages appeared on the dashboard. This occurred as i was pulling in my driveway while still in motion. These errors have also happened previously, in december 2019 and june 2020. Both previous times the malfunctions were fixed by the dealer. This issue causes the power brake system to not function and makes it very difficult to stop the truck.

Ridiculous.

I own a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500 ltz. I purchased it new 35 days ago. I recently encountered a very dangerous situation. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle lost it's braking ability. The brake pedal was fully depressed but the truck would not stop. The vehicle coasted until it came to a complete stop. The display indicated service traiier brake system, service esc, brake system failure, and cel. I powered the vehicle off and restarted it. The cel remained on. The other lights went away. The brakes appeared to work better but when i applied them i experienced a jerking motion. I called my local chevrolet dealership, prince chevrolet, ledo rd. Albany, ga. I scheduled an appointment that yielded no resolution as my check engine light remained on when i left the appointment and is still on now. I was told that the problem "might" be a result of starting my vehicle using the "my chevrolet" mobile app. I was informed that nothing was done to repair the issue as they didn't know exactly how to fix the problem at this time. I was informed that the tech did find a service bulletin and based upon the contents thereof, i was advised not to use the app anymore. Further, i was told that i would receive a call when a solution was determined. The failure mileage was 2400.

Upon starting the truck and putting it in drive, the parking brake maintenance light, check engine light and abs light came on. It provided multiple warnings that it needed service and put the engine in 'low power mode'.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The brake pedal was pumped several times to stop the vehicle. The brakes warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to freedom chevrolet 13483 i-10 west, san antonio, tx 78249, (210)- 697-6078 to be inspected. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,250.

Today 1/29/2019while attempting to come to a stop at an intersection, the brake pedal became very spongy and i rolled into the intersection before i was able to fully compress the pedal almost to the floor, any owner of this truck know's how responsive the brake system is and it only takes a slight touch to come to a full quick stop. This was not the case today, i drove it back to my shop and the entire 10 min. Drive it repeated this failure. I got back to my shop and called chevy and they told me to bring it in to have it looked at. On the way to the dealership, i could not get it to reproduce this behavior.

On may 22, 2020, my husband [xxx] was driving on foothill ave in fontana, ca towards cherry ave and he then attempted to brake, the brakes did not respond and a message of system brake failure appeared and all the message lights on the dashboard came on. As he could not brake, he went through red lights and stop accelerating the truck until slowing down. He was then able to get into a gas station as the truck was slowing down and shift the truck to parking. The check engine light came on. My husband took the truck to the dealer on may 23, 2020 and after explaining what happened to the service representative, he indicated that they could not service the truck as an appointment was needed. My husband then waited until the appointment date on 06/06/20 for the truck to be service. On 12/21/19 the truck was service for brake system failure recall and this incident happened to my husband. This was a traumatic situation and we do not feel confortable driving the truck. There were no major injuries and hope that this never happens. I hope there is something that can be resolve as people's lives should to be place at risk of being injured. A complaint was file with gm however they denied the repurchase of the truck.redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

All four wheels lock up, seems to happen after idling for a few minutes, had towed to dealer ship on 12/18/19, picked up on 12/19/20 advised breaking system only needed reprogrammed. Drove for about 40 miles it was fine, stop for a few minutes truck running in park, then drove about1-1/2 mile, as i entered a major intersection all four wheels locked up, nearly cause a major accident , the truck wheels locked up 3 additional times while try to off the main road.....again had towed to dealership, waiting for update.this is an extremely dangerous life threatening problem

Started the vehicle and dash flashed: brake failure, esc failure, do not exceed 62 mph, trailer brake failure.vehicle had previously been serviced for brake pad wear issue, though the erroneous readings remain (55% front pads left @ 4000 miles).all lights cleared, i continued to drive, had no power assist whatsoever on brakes, very difficult to stop.service engine light remains on.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact whom was the passenger called on behalf of the driver her spouse, stating that the driver depressed the brake pedal however, the vehicle failed to stop in a timely manner. The contact stated that the abs warning light illuminated as the vehicle rear ended another vehicle.the contact stated that no injuries were sustained in either vehicle.a police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to marlin chevrolet buick gmc inc. (2145 rue frank-carrel, qubec, qc g1n 2g2, canada) where the engineers at gm was contacted and informed the dealer to replace the brakes. The contact stated that the dealer was awaiting parts for the repair. The contact stated that prior to travelling to canada the vehicle was serviced under nhtsa campaign number: 19v889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) at quirk chevrolet of bangor dealer, (293 hogan rd, bangor, me 04401). The approximate failure mileage was 71,000.

The most recent issue occurred on or about 11/15/2019 when traveling on the highway at approximately 65 mile per hour, the vehicle had an engine lost of power. Power reduced immediately and all of a sudden when moving in the 2 lane on a highway incline.incident almost caused a fatal accident. Previous lost of power issue was taken to the dealership and i was advised that it was a throttle body component that was covered under warranty service too. On or about september 14, 2019, the vehicle lost brake function when exiting out of a shopping center onto a main street. This too almost caused an accident as the truck would not stop despite using the emergency power brake. All incidents had my children present.

Pulled out of a construction site after a work day and the wheels on my truck locked up right in the middle of the road.if i was pulling into a highway, i would not be writing this right now.the truck was idling for about 2 hours before i pulled out into traffic.the way the wheels stopped, it felt like the parking brake is engaging when i drive.maybe this is some kind of limp mode to prevent damage. If that is the case, it is a very dangerous fail-safe to implement on a vehicle that people depend on for work.i do not think it is a coincidence that this is the first silverado model with an electronic parking brake.oh yah, and this just coincidentally happened 1000 miles after my bumper-to-bumper warranty expired.also, gm customer service is just a call center in india. Don't bother calling them.

When driving the vehicle in an ice storm the brake function went completely.the brake pedal would not engage.i had toput truck into low.almost caused a severe accident given the weather and the loss of any brake function.i was in a city pulling forward.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving at low speeds, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond and rolled to a stop. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to lafontaine chevrolet (7120 dexter ann arbor rd, dexter, mi 48130,(734) 408-4075) where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder and brake controller needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the parts were on backorder. In addition, service code: p25a2 (transmission and brake control) was displayed and the onstar feature displayed failures with the engine, transmission, vacuum pump, and master cylinder. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 13,000.

Loss of brakes!!!started vehicle and received to following on dash display:*"service esc"*"brake system failure 62 mph top speed"*"service trailer brake system"*"abs" display*"brake" display*"esc" display

On the dashboard got abs, brake, engine, tc lights and brakes stopped working, very very poor quality, higher speed 62mph. When i checked with obd reader, got 3 codes and 2 of those codes are tied together with brakes system. When this happened i was driving to work

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. When the vehicle was started, the service brake, brake assist, check engine, and traction control indicators illuminated. Also, the emergency brake seized. The vehicle was towed to pine belt chevrolet (732-523-0826, located at 1088 new jersey 88, lakewood township, nj 08701) where it was diagnosed that the master cylinder and brake controller needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure in writing. The contact did not receive a response. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 270.

I was driving going around a corner when i experienced total system brake failure as deer ran across the road and i had to swerve into a ditch to avoid them. I had service esc , trailer brake system failure and a total brake system failure show on my dash along with check engine lights and other lights i was unaware what their purpose was.

The automatic parking brake would not release several times when i had it parked in my driveway. My driveway as a very small incline (~3%), but the auto parking brake will come on. The several times it stayed on, the orange 'service parking brake' light was on and a service engine light. I could not move the vehicle until i disconnected the battery to reset. I took it to the dealer and it had a code for evap purge pump malfunction. After they replaced this the light hasn't come back on since (about 2 weeks ago).

Service parking brake warning keeps coming on while vehicle is moving. It's already been to be serviced and there is no current fix per the dealer.

Stabilitrak was set off due to air bag module going bad.when braking it locked up 3 of the 4 tires abs went nuts but didnā€™t stop it from locking up

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado. The contact stated while driving at various speeds the brakes failed. The contact stated the ecs light illuminated prior to the failure. The contact stated the trailer braking system light also illuminated prior to the failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the rear windows allowed water to enter the vehicle around the seals. The vehicle was towed to medved chevrolet located at (11001 w interstate 70 frontage rd n, wheat ridge, co 80033) however, the repairs were still pending. The manufacturer was informed of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 3,118.

I bought the 1st truck in december. The brakes failed on orange blossom trail in orlando. Brakes would not stop vehicle and the dash light up like a christmas tree. I took it to the dealer and they said it needed a master cylinder but could not get it because chevy was on strike. I traded in and got a second vehicle. They did the recall on it before i took it and then the brakes failed so i took it into the dealer. They did an update on it and i left with it the same day. About a month later thebrakes failed... First time on 436 in orlando florida i was behind a school bus and they went out. Luckily i was far enough behind it i could get pulled over.second time i was on sr434 and 17/92 in longwood at a red light. I took it to the dealer and they said it needs a new master cylinder. Keep in mind this is the second truck. 2019 chevy silverado 1500. I tried to trade it back in to get out of the 1500 into a 2500 and they wanted me to take a $17,000 hit. Chevy would not do anything to help me. I have made two total payments on it . I paid 50k and owe 44327.00 on it.

While driving at 25 mph, all 4 brakes locked up.this happened 4 times then the truck was parked. I was turning on a state highway .

While traveling in the left hand lane of a 4 lane divided highway we noticed the vehicle in front of us was not moving. We were going approximately 58 mph. We could not move to the right lane due to vehicles entering that lane from an on ramp. We were about 100 yards away when we realized the vehicle in front of us was not moving. We immediately slammed on the brakes. The truck did not stop. We had a very severe collision. We slammed into the rear of the vehicle in front of us. That vehicle went left into the guardrail and we finally stopped on the rear bumper of the vehicle that had initially stopped with half of their vehicle still in the left hand lane. Talking later with my spouse we both realized neither of us felt the anti-lock brakes engage. There was no sound that is usually associated with braking hard. I took pictures at the scene. I found it odd that there were no skid marks. It was a clear day and shortly after 11 am.the airbags deployed. My husband required treatment at the local er. The truck was totalled.

I have a brand new silverado with less than 6500 miles and power steering stops working in middle of drive. Alone with brakes failing. This is a major safety issue!

Took truck in for recall to reprogram brake system software informed i have one of the 'few' trucks that will no accept update and apparently working to find solution

While backing up in a parking lot, lost all braking ability even though pedal was depressed several times.vehicle finally stopped on its own after multiple warning lights including engine one came on and messages referring to break system failure - 62 mph maximum speed and service trailer break system.onstar also emailed stating issue with anti-lock brakes. Vehicles was towed to dealership and diagnosis shows nothing!some updates were made to software that was all.contacted gm and they opened a case.

Truck was recalled due to braking issue, took in and had recall performed.after recall brakes failed, took it back to dealership.returned for pickup and brade pedal went to the floor.left it again for repair.picked it up after this and within a few days of getting the truck back from the dealer the brakes failed and we were involved in a crash.we were unable to stop and hit another vehicle.significant damage.the vehicle was moving along a roadway and when another vehicle suddenly pulled in front of our vehicle the brakes were applied and failed causing us to crash.

Service esc, service trailer braking system, brake system failure 62mph top speed and a check engine light. Have another appointment at dealer after recall for esc brake module has been performed

Around dec 15th, i was notified of a new recall related to the braking system: n192268090 brake system malfunction warning.i immediately scheduled an appt with my local chevy dealer to get this recall fixed.i took it in on 12/17.i had to leave the truck overnight. I picked it up on 12/18.on 12/20, after leaving the movies with my family, i had a total brake system failure - on city street. My dash lit up with abs, cel and warnings such as "brake system failure 62 mph top speed".when i tried to apply my brakes, they were stiff and did not stop the truck immediately. They were very hard to push in.i was able to limp home.i took my truck back to the dealer the next morning 12/21.they had it for a week until the following saturday 12/28. They said gm told them the issue was loose battery cables that interfered with the braking system.they tightened them and should be good to go. I picked my truck up that day.that night, after leaving a basketball game with my family, the same thing happened again - complete braking system failure - after turning truck on. Ireturned my truck to the dealer on the 30th where it is still sitting.they told me gm said not to release the truck back to owner until engineers figure out the issue.i have opened a case with gm case # [xxx].i have gone through 2 different agents - neither of which have offered any updates. I have been without my truck for over 2 weeks and there is no updates to this major safety issue.i have lost confidence in my new truck & feel that my family is not safe.there are several other owners in the same boat in the chevy forum i follow.https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/245-20192020-silverado-sierra-troubleshooting/this is very sad and i am extremely disappointed in gm/chevy.i have spent thousands of $$ on a new vehicle and it is not safe to drive!information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 15 mph, the contact attempted to make a right turn and the brakes failed to engage. Also, the brake warning indicator illuminated. The contact allowed the vehicle to idle, pulled into a parking lot, and came to a stop. Roadside assistance was contacted and the vehicle was towed to jim butler chevrolet (759 gravois bluffs blvd, fenton, mo 63026, (636) 349-3222) where it was diagnosed that the anti-lock brake system needed to be replaced; however, the part to do the repairs was not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,588.

Service brake assist warning has been appearing since dec. 29, 2019.since that time, the vehicle was in for service 3 times for that issue.still happening even after they re programmed and re flashed the ecbm. I was driving the vehicle every time this occurred, no other warning lights illuminated on the dash

Service brake system error messages appeared on the dic.

I've brought my vehicle in to a gm certified chevrolet dealership to get it's oil changed and along with that they informed me of completing a safety recall pertaining to it's brakes. The next day after the recall had been done my brakes had gone soft and my dash lit up with several different messages. Service esc, service trailer brake system, and brake system failure 62 mph top speed. I decided to bring it in again and had the recall done once more. This time it lasted a few days until my brakes had gone out once more with the same messages. It's already been a safety risk as the second time it had happened i couldn't stop and went through a 4 way intersection nearly missing oncoming traffic. My vehicle has been at the dealership since december 26, 2019. I've been informed that there "is no known fix per gm" now i'm in a loaner vehicle while paying for a truck that can't be driven.

Out of nowhere multiple warning lights illuminated. Esc, brake system failure, trailer brake failure, do not go over 62 mph. Brakes were near non functioning.

While backing out of a parking space my brakes felt soft and seemed unresponsive.put truck in drive and started moving forward and when i tried to stop the brake pedal went to the floor with about 5-10% braking power. Truck barely stopped before entering moving cross traffic.truck went into limp mode displaying brake system failure speed limited to 62 mph.limped truck to dealership approximately 2 miles.every time i had to stop i had to pump the brakes twice and on the second time the brake pedal was depressed i would gain approximately 50% braking power.truck has already had all recalls performed and specifically, the recalls related to "fixing" this exact issue.dealer put the truck on the computer and explained only a check engine light had been activated due to the brake system but couldn't say what happened.dealer attempted to have me drive the truck home, 40 miles on the freeway, and bring back in 3 days for an appointment. Feeling this was an unsafe option i requested they keep the truck until it could be thoroughly investigated and to put me in a loaner or provide transportation which they did.

Warning message came across screen of "brake system failure 62 mph top speed".vehicle was difficult to stop and had i been in heavy traffic would have certainly caused an accident.i believe the failure is related to the integrated brake controller.i feel that 62 mph is a unsafe speed to allow the vehicle to be operated at with such a failure.a 90th percentile female would not be able to control the vehicle with such a failure due to the amount of pressure required to be applied to the brake pedal in manual mode.

Dash light came on that says "service brake pad monitor"while driving down the road, it was wet/icy outside. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but i have read online that this is a recall issue, but it's not showing up as a recall on the recall website

2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. Consumer writes in regards to defective brakes. *ldthe consumer stated the braked became inefficient at parking lot speeds causing 2 crashes.

As i left to head to the store this evening i immediately had 3 codes come up on my dash after i turned the ignition on. (brake system failure. 62mph top speed. Service trailer brake system. Service esc). I thought it was a glitch so i backed down my driveway with resistance of the brakes. I had it in 4x4 due to snow so i assumed its just feeling rough from that. I proceeded to drive down the street i live on to a major road and went straight into cross traffic because the truck would not stop. I nearly died from a snow plow coming. I pumped the brakes once i didn't feel them working and it felt like i was pushing on a cement block. This is unacceptable as i have come close to dying in a recalled cobalt before bow i have to worry about this truck since theres no active recall-just like the cobalt!!! i fear for my life and my autistic child's life as this is my only means of transportation to our doctors. The vehicle is parked and i contacted my friend who works in service to also doccument with him when it occurred.

I am an oil field inspector and in my truck all day long.when shifting into drive from a stopped position and start moving forward, the back brakes lock up and the parking brake light comes on for the brakes locking up.this is the 2nd time it has happened and a dealership in portland tx replaced the computer and master cylinder.saftey issue due to my traveling alot and truck is still under warranty. I would like chevrolet to replace my truck with a safe and reliable pickup.

While reversing on our driveway the truck lost about 90% of its ability to brake. The pedals were pressed hard and all the way down until it slowly came to a stop. We turned off the truck and started it again and the problem continued. Took it immediately to the dealership, they were very dismissive saying nothing was wrong with the truck. At the dealership we drove it again and the brakes were working normally. Left the truck at the dealership even though they didn't want to check it. The truck also had two recalls that needed to be addressed. According to the documentation they checked the brakes and found nothing wrong. My major concern is what if this happens again on a busy highway or street? my families safety is nothing to be dismissive about.

When backing up and stepping on the brake my backup camera shows lines and its blurry on the truck screen.

When decelerating and braking near a complete stop (traveling in 5-40 mph traffic w/ lights) the transmission immediately downshifts hard (2 to 1) and jerks the car forward getting potentially close to other vehicles on the road.

Gm has refused to cover all costs associated with the repair of the recalls on my vehicle. Specifically the added costs of transportation to a dealership to repair the vehicle.these cost are for a ferry to transport to the dealership.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 30 mph, the brake pedal felt loose and required excessive pressure to depress and stop the vehicle. In addition, the service power brake assist and check engine warning indicators illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle over and restarted the vehicle. Upon restarting the vehicle, the warning indicators continued to illuminate; however, the brakes appeared to function normally. The contact scheduled a diagnostic appointment with folsom chevrolet (12655 auto mall cir, folsom, ca 95630, (916) 985-5600). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 6,570.

Brake intermittently presses to floor when applied unable to stop.happens on multiple occasions. Must bottom out brake pedal to floorboard for brakes to even start to apply and never fully apply to stop vehicle. Increases stopping distance 10 fold! no lights come on and all equipment looks to be in working order and no damage.the truck is relatively new

On the evening oif 1/11/20, i went to the parking lot and started my truck and multiple warnings came up on the info center for the brakes - brake system failure max speed 62mph; service trailer brake system; service esc. Check engine light was also illuminated.i turned the truck off, restarted it and received the same message.i was able to slowly drive the truck the three miles to my house with very limited braking capability.when my husband went out to check the truck 15 minutes later, the brakes had returned but the check engine light was still illuminated.i took the vehicle to a local dealer first thing monday morning and was advised today that they diagnosed a premature failure of the master cylinder. This after the software update in the previous recall had been completed approximately two weeks prior.the service adviser noted this has been a common issue after the software update and has been happening across the country. I believe this needs to be a nationwide recall if the current software update is causing the master cylinder to fail at this rate.

Started truck up after parking for 20 minutes and the brake esc service light on dash came on and stated that there was a problem and i would not be able to drive over 43 mph, the abs, traction control were also shut down.i drove this to the local gm dealer who is now working on this for the third day and can't figure out what is wrong.the programing for the brakes was gone, they reprogrammed and it cleared out immediately.they are working with gm to attempt to fix the issue once they figure it out.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 40 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle did not respond. There was no warning indicator illuminated. I have a brand new silverado with less than 6500 miles and power steering stops working in middle of drive. Alone with brakes failing. This is a major safety issue!

Started truck and power steering was not working restarted truck several times no change. Drove truck about ten miles to home. Texted dealer to say that i would be dropping the truck for service. Started the truck and everything was back to normal. Took the truck to dealer and left it. Only had the truck two weeks around 400 miles. Really concerned what would have happened if this occurs while driving down the road.this is a new vehicle. This needs to be recalled and fixed!!

I had a recall performed at a dealership and they confirmed the vehicle is running properly.i noticed that the next day my lane keep assist was turned off and not functioning.later that same day when approaching a stop sign, i noticed that 4 warning messages appeared on my dash.the first said power steering assist disable, the next service esc, the next trailer brake disabled, the next vehicle limited to 62mph.

Was making a left-hand turn at an intersectioni hit a rough patch and truck bounced and pulled a little. When i came to a stop the following lights came on esc light traction control light as well as a steering one.

I leased this brand new 2019 chevy silverado 1500 on september 16th, 2019.on november 22, 2019, i lost power steering while backing out of my driveway.i was unable to turn the wheel, and the service esc, trailer brake steering assist reduced message appeared.the steering did not come back until i shut the truck off and restarted it.i took the truck in the same day to the dealer to be serviced after this alarming event.when given to the dealer it only had 1,647 miles on it.it remains at the dealer do to my safety concerns.i do not feel safe driving it.

Service steering column warning comes on almost everytime vehicle is started drivers side mirror pops off especilly if closed when washing.

Steering wheel became stuck in a left turn around 70mph, causing the truck to go from the right lane, across the left land and into the median. The dealer is currently investigating the issue. I was given a vehicle that has lane keeping assistance and noticed the steering wheel function with that feature is similar to what i felt in my truck, except, my truck does not have that feature.

A warning dash board notice 'service steering columnlock'appeared the very day we test drove the truck.and has not been abled to be repaired/corrected.gm has my truck for more than 50 days . Gm can't guarantee me that the steering wheel will not lockup while driving down the road.with that statement i consider this a unsafe vehicle to drive. And as of today's date gm and their dealership can figure this problem.i requested that gm repurchase the unsafe truck back , i only have this truck about 8days out of 60.

I received a message to "service power steering" and to "service esc".the power steering completely went out and i had to drive without it.once the vehicle sat for about an hour, i restarted it and the messages cleared.this is the second time this has happened since i have owned the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving 20 mph, the steering wheel became difficult to turn and "service power steering no assist soon" appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to autonation chevrolet airport (located at 5600 lee vista blvd, orlando, fl 32812, (407) 680-1445) where it was currently being diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 800.

Hmmmm.

Truck lost power steering and esc after 15k miles. Problem seems intermittent. Vehicle was parked at the time.

Paint is peeling of the bumper of truck. Dealership states all that be done is a paint touch up. Dealership states this is an on going problem. Vehicle has not had any damage warranting peeling paint.

The paint on my truck seems in adequate. I have many chips and scratches in my paint they i have never had before in other models and brands. I drive my truck carefully and stay out of conditions where scratches may occur. But the smallest blemish turns into a chip down to the primer. As a consumer i would say that the. Inner of coats of paint and clear coat used is minimal. Would like to see a stronger layer of protection and thicker coat of paint.

Drivers mirror problem can't close or mirror unattaches and opens clear to the windshield and comes lose and moves while driving so doesn't function correct and service steering wheel lick issues comes on.

The truck was parked in my home driveway monday afternoon. It was locked. On wednesday 2/24/21 our neighbor alerted my wife that there was smoke coming from the truck. We ran out there, but it was already heavily smoking and we could hear crackling and popping noises. Shortly after the truck was in flames. The fire department arrived, put out the flames. The fire marshal did an inspection and indicated it was likely an electrical fire near the tailgate/hitch/license plate.

I was backing into a parking space at a very low speed, when the right side lower balljoint separated and dropped the truck on the ground.the vehicle was rented from enterprise and had only9000 miles. I had just finished a 10 hour interstate drive and was lucky it didn't separate at 70 miles per hour.

While driving my vehicle down a residential street around 25 mph my steering suddenly pulled to the right. Causing me to strike a parked car. This happened on4/10/21. The vehicle pulled to the right causing my tire to strike the parked car. Witness to the accident said that my wheel was coming off before striking the car. The front right side suspension on my truck was ripped away from the vehicle including the drive axle. Pieces of the suspension broke into pieces.there is a police report with the waverly police dept in waverly, ohio 45690. Report number 21-050. To my surprise coming home from work on 4/13/21 the same thing happened to a co workers new model gmc sierra which is a similar vehicle. He was just driving and the front suspension fell off his vehicle causing his truck suspension to hit the ground. I observed his vehicle and the damage to the suspension was basically identical to my vehicle suspension.his vehicle is currently located at hometown chevrolet in waverly, ohio 45690. My vehicle was towed to perfection one collision in chillicothe ohio.

Poor visibility with rear camera at night time when backing up and the brightness and reflection is blinding while trying to use side mirrors

Service steering column warning comes on almost everytime vehicle is started drivers side mirror pops off especilly if closed when washing.

Rear backup camera screen gets fuzzy with several white lines across mainly during night driving. Very poor visibility for a brand new truck/camera. Good visibility is critical for backing up in a crowded parking lot at night. Critical safety issue!!took it to my local dealer 12/30/19 during the day, and was told they could not get it to replicate the issue, however did know about the issue with other vehicles.no resolution was given, said to come back when it did it again.

My backup camera does not show a clear image when backing up at night.

Rear back up camera quit working. The center monitor read "service rear view camera". Tried turning the motor off and on numerous times but still would not work. Parked the truck in the garage that night and when i tried it the next day it was working again. Called the dealer and informed them but was told they hadn't heard of the problem. Happened in a parking lot initially.

Start-stop system not working,

When i hit the brakes while moving in reverse, my backup camera glitches or gives an error to service. This could prevent me from seeing something behind me while backing up. This has been a problem since purchasing. Chevy dealer looked at it but was unable to fix.

Present on a 2019 chevy rst z71 in nighttime conditions, when the rear backup camera is engaged the quality of the camera is extremely poor with grainy / pixelated image and may cut out entirely while the vehicle is stationary and in motion.this condition posse a danger to the safety of any one or any thing the driver may not see as a result of this condition

The backup camera screen is at full brightness at night in the pitch dark making for this issue. If you are looking in your side rear view mirrors to backup and look to the right one, passing the screen, you are blinded by the brightness of the screen. This, in my opinion, is very dangerous. This issue is also present in other 2019 trucks.

Back up camera system is too bright almost blinding at night and is poor quality.the bright screen make is difficult to see behind.

Back window on truck is leaking water. Headliner is discolored and its very close to an airbag. I'm hoping its fixed before the water sets off the air bag accidentally. First dealer fix resulted in a bigger leak than original.

The back up camera at night is blinding due to brightness and is non-adjustable to dim. Brightness of screen makes it difficult to adjust vision looking away from it to use side mirrors. Safety issue with a moving vehicle.

The chrome surrounding the air vents can reflect the sun in a manner that blinds the driver.this has happened to me on multiple occasions when driving north in the afternoon.it forces me to look away from the road, and causes imprinting in my vision, which reduces my ability to see when driving.

Just driving lost brakes and esc came on won't speed up

The transmission shifting from 1st to second gear has about a 5 second delay and then is a rough shift into 2nd. Only happens when the vehicle is cold from sitting for a long period like over night. After the one hard shift it doesn't do it the rest of the day. Done it since purchasing it in sept 2019. It's like it lags after you wake it up and hasn't had its coffee yet. Does not matter if i back down my driveway first and then into drive. The first shift of 1st to 2nd has a lag and its rough into 2nd.

When backing the vehicle at night the camera screen is so bright it blinds the driver and chevy has no way of adjusting the screen brightness.as of 1-27-2020 chevrolet is failing to address the problem and it will cause a accident

Back up camera is fuzzy at night and is very dangerous to use when backing up. Using it at night has resulted in almost being in an accident on two occasions. I took it to the chevrolet dealer today and they said it needed no repair at this time and it met gm specs. It has been this way since i bought the truck and does it every time you back up at night.

Backup camera is so bright at night that i can not see my mirrors to use them.backup camera gets lines on the screen. This happens where moving or sitting still.

The rear backup camera is faulty. Randomly will get a blue screen (backup camera being inoperable) that says to "service rear vision system". Research online, says there is no current fix for this issue. I only have 600 miles on a brand new truck.

Rear view camera cuts out intermittently when brakes are applied while backing up. Rear view camera is very fuzzy at night and is difficult to see. This is a safety concern due to visibility.

Service rear vision system and blue screen for backup camera and camera system on truck has been intermittently not working since purchased on 5/18/19.have had the truck to the dealer twice to fix.first time replaced rear camera.issue returned next day.second time, dealer pointed to a tsp that indicated the system was busy when first starting the vehicle and to allow for extra time to place vehicle in reverse.issue is not related to placing the car in gear, it only shows the issue.issue appears to be a software issue in which the system doesn't get booted up in a timely manner.after some time, has been random from 2-3 minutes to over 30 minutes, the system will eventually come online and work properly.the issue i have is many of my trips are just a few minutes up the road to my firehouse i volunteer at.the truck doesn't have enough time to completely boot up the camera system and i'm left with a blue screen with no way to reset it or use the cameras.i've contacted the dealership service manager and chevrolet and chevrolet initially called back wanting me to contact the dealership.the service manager said he would investigate the issue and call me back to schedule a fix.no word in over 1 month now.i see on several forums other users struggling with the same issue and so far there seems to be no fix.i'm not sure gm knows what the issue is at this point.there seems to be no way to alert them and get the right people working on the issue.hoping this venue will be able to wake someone up at gm.issue is consistently random.sometimes it loads quicker than other times, but is consistent in not wanting to work when needed.

This vehicle is a brand new 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500 trail boss. This truck has the 4.3l v6. The first time backing up in my driveway i noticed the backup camera flickered everytime i touched the brake pedal. I repeated backing up several times and at one point the backup camera flickered and went off (screen went blank/black with a message "service rear vision system". When the backup camera came back on the guidelines for backing up had disappeared. I was unable to get the guidelines back on the screen until i changed the shifter to drive or park then back into reverse. This has happened multiple times. The backup camera screen repeatedly flickers and intermittently will go blank with a loss of guidelines. I contacted chevrolet and brought the vehicle back to the dealer service department on 4/1/19. Their report was that the system did in fact flicker and the screen shut off momentarily however stated it is "normal" for these vehicle. They gave me a 2019 silverado loaner with the same accessory package and that camera did the same thing. The dealer noted that they tested multiple similar model vehicles and they all performed the same way. The dealer mentioned it occurring on the model with the smaller display screen and that this issue was not occurring with the larger display screen. My concern is having children if backing up and the screen momentarily blanks out i lose rear backup camera vision causing a potentially fatal catastrophe. The dealer said they are unable to resolve the issue at this time. The vehicle started doing this with less than 20miles on it and now with approximately 300 miles on it the issue continues. I am concerned that a fatal accident could occur. I respectfully request this issue be resolved and advocate on behalf of the consumer for gm to fix this issue. Thank you very much!

Vehicle was parked and not running.i got into the vehicle and started it.i proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse and backed my truck up out of a parking spot.i then put the vehicle in drive.the vehicle started to go in reverse when i began to accelerate.i then put the vehicle back in park and then back into drive.the truck again started to go in reverse when in the drive position and i tried to accelerate and go forward.at this point the truck's check engine light came on.i put the truck in park, turned the vehicle off for a moment.i then turned the truck back on and again shifted it to drive and the truck went forward.we took the vehicle into the shop to have the codes run but a braking system code was the only thing that came up.the dealership said they will begin looking into it and the vehicle will be serviced soon.safety concern:that if we were in a parking lot and placed our vehicle in drive and it actually goes in reverse, we could have harmed someone behind us or damaged someone's vehicle/home/etc.i also worry there may be other issues that arise that could pose a safety concern since we don't really know what is going on.

Backup camera at night blurry and shines eye very hard to see to backup

With only 500 miles on the truck/engine oil pressure has been dropping drastically while going from drive to idle. It drops frim 60 to under 30. Also battery power gauge drops well below 14 when originally was over 14. This also began at the same time oil pressure issues began.

Camera is really fuzzy not clear and horizontal lines run through it it makes it very hard to see at night when you are backing up

The backup camera is useless at night, i already took it to the dealer and they told me that it was normal for the trim of the truck

I bought a new 2019 chevy silverado at the end of 2019. The backup camera flickers and cuts out. I took it to the dealership and was told there is no solution for it. This cannot be the right answer. I have small children and with a large truck i depend on the camera working. Also with parking i have come close to damaging the truck.

The backup camera system is essentially unusable at night when reversing. The image quality is fuzzy at best and cuts in and out with horizontal lines flashing through it. On top of the fact that it is a fuzzy image, it is so bright, it is unbearable to look at, it's basically white-washed.

2019 chevy 1500 trail boss double cab: the backup camera cuts in and out when you apply pressure to the brakes. This could cause issues when you rely on this and then the camera cuts off and boom... You hit something/someone because the backup camera cuts off.

Forward automatic braking system has not ever worked since i purchased the truck. I was told that chevrolet was aware of this and was going to issue a recall. I did receive a recall notice #n192275630. Toke it to the dealer and they performed this recall and 4 other recalls and one service bulletin. After receiving the truck back from the dealer i have had several instances where the forward collision alert system has warned me but still no automatic braking function. Contacted dealer and took it back to them they retested the system with no errors recorded. They said they don't now what to do since the recall involved a software update only and they can't test the software other than to confirm that it did get updated. Contacted chevy customer care and was told that only way to confirm the system was working was to crash the truck "that's their words". I am an automotive engineer and i know that's not true. I know the system is not working since the warning system is working but not applying the brakes. It appears the software update did not work on my truck.

An intermittent electrical connection between the b+ battery cable and the alternator could cause the vehicle to stall. The intermittent connection could also lead to arcing, which could generate sufficient heat to damage surrounding material and increase the risk of a fire.gm recall #: n192273510. The problem is even though they claimed they fix it. Record shows thatthe recall still incomplete. If the driver is unaware that esc and abs are not functioning, there may be increased risk of a crash. Gm recall #: n192268090nhtsa recall 19v889 involved a software error that could cause the vehicle's esc and abs telltale lamps to fail to illuminate in certain circumstances. If a driver were unaware that esc and abs were not functioning, there may be increased risk of a crash. Gm recall #: n192268091. As i mentioned it, the record shows these recalls are incomplete. They gave me the truck back on 02/21/2020 after about a month they claimed they repaired it.*dt *dt

Backup camera so burry at night can't see or tell whats behind the truck. Never had one like this, dealership said there's they can do about it. A $50,000.00 truck should have a working camera. This happens when in reverse.

I was driving on the highway for approximately 1 hour/75 miles.i pulled over to clean out my truck.i parked in a vacant parking lot.the truck's engine was running, the vehicle was in park.it was parked at the top of a hill. I got out of the drivers compartment, and walked around behind to the passenger's side, and cleaned out some trash. I then walked back around to the rear drivers side door, and removed more trash. I walked about 15-25 feet away, to put the trash in the garbage can. The truck made a weird 'chirp-chirp-chirp' alarm/electrical type noise, and then drove backwards. The reverse lights were on.i ran after the truck, the drivers door was locked. I pushed the unlock button on the door and hopped up on the running board. I opened the drivers door and jumped in, and slammed on the brakes.i stopped the truck, literally one foot from going over an 8 foot concrete embankment.i am really terrified by what happened. It was in park.it has that new system where the keys stay in your pocket and everything is push button (start, unlock) the vehicle's column shifter was still in park when i stopped the truck.photos:1.) this is the hill, and space i was parked in.2.) these are my tire tracks, my trucks tires hit that sheet metal, and you can see the approximate 8 foot drop with the dumpsters.3.) this shows the concrete speed bump thing that my truck backed over when it was rolling out of control this should not have been mechanically possible.if it was in park it can't happen (theoretically)if it was in reverse, it would have backed up immediately after letting my foot off the brake.if it had been in neutral, it would have drifted backwards immediately due to the grade of the hill.if it had been in drive or low, it would have moved forward, or stayed still.

Clarity of the back up camera is very cloudy or not clear at all

Have taken veh,in twice for recall fixes, getting notices on ph ,saying veh has not been fixed

Purchased this vehicle in nov of 2019. The rearview camera does not function properly and gm does not want to change my camera. They keep on stating they haven't found a fix and always leave me with no new information. I've opened tickets with them and nothing. Was reading online today and they state that the issue only happens on lower trim models. Mine is a custom trim model. I would like this fixed as it is dangerous, going reverse and the camera glitches out or turns black.

While traveling backwards in reverse, the backup camera flickers, becomes fuzzy, or has a white line through the 7" touchscreen anytime the brakes are applied.

Service esc, service trailer braking system, brake system failure 62mph top speed and a check engine light. Have another appointment at dealer after recall for esc brake module has been performed

When the back up camera is activated by being put in reverse it is so bright that it is very difficult to see out the passenger side mirror at night. This is a non hd monitor and there is no way to adjust brightness or to turn off ther screen.it could result in scraping the side of the truck or hitting something. Back up cameras are not supposed to be a replacement for mirrors

When placing the vehicle in reverse and watching the rear view camera, while in motion, as you get closer to an object the camera will go black for a few seconds, disturbing the drivers immediate view of anything behind them and not viewable by the rear view mirror. This presents the possibly of crashing into an object behind you unexpectedly and unknowingly; whether it be reversing in a parking lot or into a spot near others personal property. It has happened on more than one occasion.

Back window on truck is leaking water. Headliner is discolored and its very close to an airbag. I'm hoping its fixed before the water sets off the air bag accidentally. First dealer fix resulted in a bigger leak than original.

The rear backup camera is faulty. Randomly will get a blue screen (backup camera being inoperable) that says to "service rear vision system". Research online, says there is no current fix for this issue. I only have 600 miles on a brand new truck.

Camera has very poor night vision. Fuzzy picture. The display at night is so bright it prevents you from being able to use the mirrors.the design creates a dangerous condition at night.

When backing up the truck at night the center screen gets so bright that you cannot see anything from the rearview mirror or side mirrors the backup camera itself is a very poor quality camera at night and there is no option to dim the brightness of the screen or turn off the camera so i can see at the rearview mirror instead.

The chrome surrounding the air vents can reflect the sun in a manner that blinds the driver.this has happened to me on multiple occasions when driving north in the afternoon.it forces me to look away from the road, and causes imprinting in my vision, which reduces my ability to see when driving.

Rear camera way too bright.going into reverse gear, the rear camera goes to full brightness and makes seeing outside of the car nearly impossible and very dangerous.the camera needs to either a) have the ability to turn down brightness or b) set at a lower level of brightness consistent with seeing outside in the dark.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. While driving on the highway, the rear of the vehicle fishtailed and swung back and forth. Al serra chevrolet (6167 s saginaw st, grand blanc, mi 48439, (810) 202-001) stated that the tires caused the failure. The dealer refused to replace the tires, but admitted that the failure also occurred to other vehicles. The manufacturer stated that there were no defects in the tires and would not replace the tires. The failure mileage was 20.
