The digital speedometer, odometer and turn signal indicators on the dashboard console disappear frequently.this happens more in cold weather than in warm weather, and they will reappear temporarily if i bang on the dash, but then they disappear again.as a result, i am unable to tell how fast i am going and received a speeding ticket.

Had several fuses shot upon cranking vehicle, on 6-22-01 wife cranked truck and heavy smoke poured from under the headliner over drivers side. I pulled the headliner and discovered the problem. The wiring going through the a post to the drivers side sunvisor mirror, rear view mirror, and passenger's side sunvisor is placed against the sheet metal and then a rubber piece is there to prevent the wires from shorting out and it is against the sheetmetal and rubs the headliner against the sheetmetal causing it to short out. This is a very poor design and i feel sure this will be if not already be a real problem and possibly cause a fire. Luckly i wasn't driving down the road and give tit enough time to catch the headliner on fire.

Fuel tank/pump replaced due to rusted tank.

Plastic cover on fuel tank gathered and retained water on top of fuel tank allowing tank to rust requiring tank, fule pick, pump and straner replacement.

The plastic stone shield allowed water to remain in contact with the front lower edge of the fuel tank.this caused the tank to rust through and leak.the plastic shield contained the leak, concentrating the leaked fuel before spilling it out onto the ground. This was an original tank, the truck has never been off-road, nor in an accidnet.the poor design of the shiled/tank assembly allowed trapped water to cause a potentially dangerous condition to exist.

Fuel pump power wire and connector burned/charred at upper connector inside gas tank.

The cover underneath the gas tank has more than an inch of space which causes rocks and pebbles to get into the gas, resulting in a gas leak, may cause a fire.please provdie details.

When a car stopped in front of me in the left hand lane.i dynamited my brakes and my blazer did not stop in the appropriate amount of time.it felt like i had a 4,000 pound trailer pushing me. I feel that the braking system should have stopped me sooner than it did.it took 6 to 10 seconds which should have been pleanty of time. On july 22, 1999 the eugene reg. Guard printed an article titled gm to fix more than 3.5 million vehicles.i have been to a local gm dealer and was informed that this was not an official recall but onlyan investigation.my concern is that the body is being done on the blazer but the dealer has told me that nothing can be done about the brakes until they receive an official recall from the manufacturer.i do not feel that i can trust my breakes at this time.please advise me as to what avenues i can take to verify that my breakes are in working order and let me know if my vehicle is one those listed by the nhtsa .a reply would certainly be appreciated.
