Damage was to the front drivers side. It was pushed in so bad that the frame in frontwas damaged and the vehicle had to be totaled . Driver'sair bag never deployed.
Consumer was driving at approxmately 50 mphwhen hit another vehicle on the side head-on. Air bag did not deploy, causing the consumer to sustain severe whiplash and other injuries. Seatbelts were worn at the time.

The fuel injection system pump is defective, it has been worked on four times. Currently has a intermittent dead spot.while driving the vehiclewill shut down. There is no pattern or notification as to when this incident will occur. The dealer cannot duplicate the problem.

We bought this pichup new, have had it in the shop many times for the same problem. It stalls on us at any time,they have replaced parts and replaced parts. Each time they say it is either the fuel injection system or a oil leak. They fix it and again it happens. I have notified the manufactory, at one time they extended the warrenty another 1200 miles, but of course the warranty ran out before the truck broke down again. I ask them to at least recall the parts that keep going out or fix the problem and pay at least half of repairs on truck, since it has been doing the same thing over and over since the day we bought the truck. Once a service manager told us that gm was aware of this problem when they put the system on the 1995 trucks, they had the same problem with the 1994 fuel system also.i have almost been rear-ended many times have been in construction areas on highways where there has been no where to pull off. I was passing a car once and it stalled on me, almost got hit head on.please dont tell me to trade it in cause i cant afford to know.the manafacter acted like i just wanted to get my truck fixed free which is not the case. They told me at this time there is nothing they can do. Also the driver seat broke in the brackets that holds it to the floor. I ask them to fix that when it was still under warranty they told me it wasnt covered. So my husband fixed it the best he could. A few years ago a service rep. From the gm was suppose to meet with us at the dealership, there were about 4 or 5 other people that had complains also, anyway to make it short, the rep. Never showed up and always phoned in with an excuse and said i will be there tomorrow,we went back to the dealer for 3 days hoping he would show upbut he never did. I just spent another $500.00 on the pickup getting it fixed again. Help us please. I have been trying to do this for 4 yrs now. I had got ahold of your office several yrs ago but dont remember date or number they gave me. Thank you
We have had problems with this every since we bought this pickup.. It has kept dying on us, we have had it in the stop many, many times, they have replaced the computer, fuel injection, about 4 or 6 times, the service manager told us that the mfg has had problems with all these trucks, it first came out on the 1994 models, they had problems with it then, but they still put it on the 95 models even though they knew. My warranty is up now, we r still having problems with this fuel injection, it died on going down the road at least 5 times, once i was in consruction and couldnt pull over, i almost got hit from behind, the other times i have been able to pull over to the shoulder. The mfg needs to recall this and fix it the right way so it doesnt happen again.. The service manager at dealer said this will keep happening over and over because of the default it has.. Replaced leaking axle assembly seals.
Clutch slave cylinder has been replace on several ocations the top deteriorates after 2 to 3 days after that the cluch system goes out of service.

Windshield wipers did not work correctly at purchase, stopped at any time, started at any time, never worked when raining.the seatbelt fastener separated day after purchase, dealer never replaced - excuse a custom pkg and c ould not match seat belt fasteners. - same with windshield wipers.
Frame ondrivers seat broke,causing theseat to rock back and forth while driving. Dealer has been contacted.this is either a design or material flaw due to frame breaking whild slowing to a stop for a red light.vehicle has never been involved in a crash nor in any way abused.
As i was starting off at a stop sign, i proceeded to accelerate and my seat tilted backwards.it is just like a rocking chair now.i contacted the dealership in easley at crane chevroletand they said it was not under warranty and they would not cover it.i called the chev. Company at1-800-222-1020 and they said considering the mileage that there was nothing they could do.so now i am contacting you.the seatbelt will be of no use in a wreck because the seat will break completely loose in an accident.the seat is not attached to the frame in the front part of the seat.

The contact owns a 1995 chevrolet pickup. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for brake failure service repair. The technician noticed failure in the brakes lines on the left side of the vehicle due to rust corrosion which was replaced in 2007. Recently, the identical failure occurred with the right side brake line. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The contact had concern of the safety issue and the uncertainty of the defect without the experienced failure. The failure mileage was 160,000. The current mileage was 167,000.
When braking the front of the truck pulls hard to the right.

The speed of the truck will vary when the problem occurs. When i apply the brakes on dry pavement and good road the truck will jerk hard to the left ,then sometimes it will not. Sometimes the brake pedal will fade clear to the floor when i go to stop at a slow speed. I had a new master cylinder put in the truck, but it still did the same thing. Some times also it will make the funny ratcheting noise like your on a dirt road and trying to stop quickly, but i will be on a good dry asphalt road. Some times i will be at a traffic light and the brake pedal will fade down to the floor. I have had my truck at a auto repair shop for over 6 weeks now and have not been able to solve the problem. It has been extremely difficult for my family to get along with only the one other vehicle that we have.
Dt: brakes caught fire while driving down the road, took vehicle to a mechanic and they said the brakes locked up, under the fender, the brake hub caught fire, due to overheating causing the brakes to catch fire.

Stop at an intersection with my pick up.my wife following behind me in her gmc jimmy.after checking for traffic, i proceeded and my wife approached the intersection.at this time, i heard something in the rear of my vehicle.the spare tire fell from underneath the truck and landed in the road.as i looked through my rear view mirror, my wife proceeded and ran over the tire, which caused her vehicle to go air-borne.she sustained minor injuries.after checking the spare tire compartment, i found that the tire is only secured by a small cable.this cable broke clean, and the tire fell to the road.i contacted chevrolet at ph#800-222-1020.i spoke to a representative named buck on 6-4-01.he stated that i should check my spare tire better.he wasn't very helpful and i became very upset and called on 6-5-01.this time i spoke with a person named amber.she also said i should check the vehicle equipment better.i explained that this is an issue of safety and that somethingt similar could happen at greater speeds, resulting in death.i wanted to be contacted regarding how the problem was going to be handled but she said no one would call me.i then spoke about the possibility of a law suit and then she statedi was accusing them of wrong doing.i also explained new york state didn't require spare tire checks on inspections and that it would be impossible for individuals to check every part of a vehicle, to see if something was going to break. She then told me to go to a dealer and get the vehicle check and the dealership would determine if there was a problem.i went to a chevrolet dealership and the service manager stated the cable broke because of new york state weather.none of these individuals helped me and this is still an issue of safety.i also checked a new chevrolet pick up truck and it appears the same type of cable is holding the spare tire.could you please check into this matter, so both of us might prevent a death.thank you.
Passenger front tire has 2 inch bubble sticking out the tread. This causes vehicle to vibrate. The tire was replaced with a spare and under warranty. Tire size p245/75r16 51,000 miles.consumer stated that other two tires developed tread separation.dot. # 7ba3 p7b 038 and 7ba3 p7b 497.

Not covered under original recall, however same part faild in same manner as recall. Chevrolet will not cover part. Dealer admitted that many others from same year and later are also failing. They keep a good supply on hand due to the high failure rate onthis part from those years (95,, 96, 97)

Discovered a nhtsa on 1995 chevrolet pickup trucks relative to windshield wiper failures.mine has been doing the same thing as described in nhtsa 98v150 for past 2 + years.when they stop working i have to stop the vehicle, raise the hood and reach the circut board box on the firewall.i shake/rapit slightly and the wipers start working again. Also moving the wires going into the unit can cause the wipers to stop or run.i have contacted chevrolet and they claim my truck is not included in the recall even though it is the same problem described in nhtsa 98/150.this is a high risk safety problem as the wipers can fail at any time or intermittingly.i don't understand why my 1995 truck is excluded to repair this safety defect and problem that's just like other chevrolet 1995 trucks.
There has been 1,557,585 vehicles recalled for this same problem under campaign 98v150001, but my vehicle has no recalls on it. I have the same problem as those, but gm will not replace parts free of charge. I think gm should replace parts with no charge to me. I have not had the money to fix the problem. This has caused me to almost get in several accidents.

There was a recall issued 2/11/99 stating solder joints near the wiring harness connector can crack causing the windshield wipersto work intermittently.consequence summary stated thiscondition can result in inoperative wipers, reducing drivers visibility, etc.we took the vehicle to metro chevorlet and they stated there was no problem with the wipers and they did not fix or replace anything.however when i drove away i turned on the wipers and heard the motor motor running but the wipers did not work.the recall stated the dealed will replace the wiper motor and circuit board and cover and they did not.

There is a recall on the wiper motor electronic board for somechevrolet wiper motors.i have contacted several dealers and parts distributors to find that the part number of the recall is the same as the number that my vehicle has, yet my vehicle is not covered.i have found many reports from owners with the same vehicle having the same problem.i'm sure that my incident where the wipers quit in the middle of a rain storm while traveling 55 mph was just as hair-raising as the rest.yet it would seem that no one would take care of this issue.this problem has been known for more that 4 years.this is an extremely dangerous situation and i would like to know why nothing has been done.with the number of incidents reported, the same part numbers involved, and the same intermittent failure descriptions, i am tired of hearing the same answer - "there is nothing we can do".
