The door latches dont work properly. Dealer serviced them when purchased.the latches fail intermittently with no warning. The door has opened while turning if not locked.

Attorney writing on the behalf of 4 accidents in which he states were caused by tread separation on goodyear 16 inch load range e steel belted radial tires, this particular police report states the right rear tire blewout causing driver to lose control of the vehicle, the vehicle experienced a rollover and consumer was injured in accident, owner of the vehicle is madera components system, 6323 w van bren.

The glass mirrow separated from the mounting flying onto the side of the road. These mirrows are held onto the metal by two spots of glue. If there had been a pedestrian on the side of the road he would have been hit by the glass.
Consumer's vehicle is having the same problem as mentioned inrecall 03v15900 concerning windshield wipers.dealer would not repair becausevin was not included.the motor was replaced but the wipers remained intermittent.the consumer would have to raise the hood and physically hit the wiper motor in order to get it to work. *scc
Gm had a recall for the failure of the electronic control unit of the wipers on their suburbans, but it did not include pick up trucks. I personally know of 3 other people who have had the same exact failure of this component. I have contacted the gm corporation without any return other than " the recall did not include pickups". Don't figure...is the same kind of vehicle with same component failure. I was fortunate in my small accident. I received minimal damage due to hitting a curb and blowing out a tire. The damage was to the tire, ruining it, plus knocking the alignment out. I live in new mexico where rain is a rarity and whiper/washer use is at a minimum. I was in florida at the time of the accident and was caught in a sudden rain down pour which did not allow me enough time to safely pull over to the side of the road and bang on the whiper unit to get it to operate. The unit has been replaced at a cost of approx. $ 62. To which i think that gm should pay for. They had knowledge of this being a problem and did not follow up on anything other than their suburbans. Glad i am not an accident statistic due to their lack of concern. Please, can you do something about this for other peoples' sake.thank you.
The contact owns a 1994 chevrolet pickup.the contact stated that while attempting to activate the windshield wipers, they failed to work.intermittently, after several minutes, the wipers may function properly; however, it is difficult to determine because they are not used often.the local dealer and manufacturer both stated that the vin was not included in the recall.the recall number was unknown.the failure mileage was 70,000 and current mileage was 74,000.update 09/10/08 *cw

The windshield wipers failed intermittently while driving.the consumer saw a recall that stated that this problem was recalled under recall #03v159000, which is suppose to be mailed out sometime this month according to odi. Consumer states that this is dangerous because his wipers stop when it is raining hard. *nlm

Windshield wiper motor relay failure mutiple times.the most recent failure was on march6, 2001 occurring in a major rainstorm on intersate 40 in arizonaat the time of the failure, my wife was with me.the rain was so intense it almost caused me to crash as i could not see through the windshield.i previouslycontated chevrolet who admitted there was a problem with the windshield wiper motors.there was also a safety recall reported, however, my truck was not built at a certain site so it did not qualify.i had my truck repaired today and the shop informed me this is a very common problem with chevrolet truck type vehicles.the windshield wiper failure is a definite safety hazard.it is quite apparent that chevrolet is aware of this problem, however, refuses to issue a recall.i appreciate any help you can provide me with this problem. There is a problem with the windshield wiper motor for about a month.the consumer has to hit on the motor in order for the wipers to operate.the consumer purchased new wind shield wipers for the cost of $88.13 because it was not covered by recall.
Current recall 98v150001 for gm/chevrolet,my veh has same problem of windshield wipers working intermittenly.i believe the same components are used on my vehicle as on the recalled ones.dangerous problem, the wipers sometimes do not come on when switched on.
Windshield wipers fail while in use. Other vehicles with this problem are covered under nhtsa campaign #98v150001. Recall campaign should be expanded to cover all vehicles using the same components, as this is a serious safety issue.
Regarding wiper motor as reported recently in the media.my wiper motor is failing and i have to sometimes start it with my hands to get it going.

Intermittently while driving in inclement weather windshield wipers failed.this caused poor visibility to the driver. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic informed determined that the windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced.

Complaint received via e-mail.i have a 1994 chevrolet pickup, the windshield wipers have stopped several times while i was driving in the rain. I heard through a friend that there was a recall for my type of truck. This prompted me to come to this site and look it up. I found a recall with campaign id number 03v159000. I then called a local dealer and after giving my vin #, i was told that there were no open campaigns on this vehicle. I then called the 800 number for chevrolet that was on the report and was also told by them that there were no open campaigns on my vehicle. I understand that there was an analysis done that probably produced a list on vins that were affected by this recall. However, my vehicle was exhibiting the same symptoms as those listed in the recall. This was a very dangerous situation. At the current time i do not have the resources to have the repairs made. I believe that if this problem resulted in a recall of these vehicles to repair the circuit board, and my vehicle was showing the same symptoms, the company should at least evaluate the problem to see if this was the cause of my windshield wipers malfunctioning. I do not believe that this was an unreasonable request.(11/23/05)*sc i do not remember the exact date that i called, however it was between the 2nd and 20th of november 2004. Chevrolet recall on the windshield wiper module control does not cover the 1994 model , however consumer's 1994 model full size is experiencing same recall failure. Mjs
