While driving and applying the brakes consumerwas hit head-on by another vehicle, the air bagsdid'nt deploy. Contacted dealer, and was told that the air bagswere about to deploy.

Consumer states he was in an accident, another vehicle lost control and hit him head on, a child was restrained in the car seat which broke in the accident, the child seat was retained by an investigator for further observation.*jg

Vehicle would not start after parked less then 2 hours. The spark plugs worked fine, with sufficient spark. The compression was at a normal level of function. The problem was found to be the fuel injectors to be stuck in the wide open (full throttle) position. Which was causing the vehicle to be flooded, preventing ignition. After a long day of trying to find a reason, the cause was found. The problem was a metal retaining bracket for the wiring system that had worn through the coating of the wire controlling the injector position/function. This caused it to ground itself through the metal bracket, which is why it stuck in the open position. The bracket that caused the problem is mounted on the engine on the serpentine belt side, behind the belt. Between ac compressor and alternator. Solved problem with electrical tape on the damaged wires and bracket.

Electrical short. (2nd vehicle on 514868)

Electrical: driving vehicle and noticed smoking and burning coming from the steering column. Has not taken in for repair because someone had the same problem and was told it was coming from the turn signal .

Execessive fuel was being dispenced down the plenum filling the catalytic converter with gasoline. When converter reached operating temp. Of approx. 1800 degrees the fuel in the converter was ignited causing damage to the vehicle.

The contact owns 1992 chevrolet lumina. After adding fuel into the vehicle, the gage indicator displayed that the fuel tank was empty. The dealer diagnosed the failure; however, within three days another vehicle crashed into rear of the contact's vehicle and destroyed it. The insurance company stated that the prior failure was not diagnosed by a dealer. There were no known injuries or police reports filed. Report number 71723371589 was filed with the manufacturer. The vin was unknown. The current and the failure mileages were 100,000.

Front passenger and driver door would unlock from the inside, to open doors had to continue pull on hand and use key lock.

The exterior door latches on the driver's side door will not open. However, when entering inside of the vehicle latches on the interior will open intermittently.

Called gm 8/6/01, rear spindle arms bad, consumer was told vehicle is too old, they rust out, front end suspension is also doing the same,consumer got the same story. Vehicle stalls, loss of control and door handles break off.

The moulding on the vehicle prevents entry and exiting whn it is raining or when it is humid. This also caused the door latch to break on each side of car.

Consumer hearda noise coming from the front end while driving. Vehicle was serviced by several mechanics before the cause of the noise was found. The rear cradle bolt had pulled through the retainers because of corrosion as stated in recall 97v058000,but this model year was not included in the recall.

Front-engine cradle bolt retaining mount sepaated due to corrsion, stamped bolt flange rusted through, fell off and was found on drive way. I am taking it to have all four replaced before the engine/transmission/cradle falls out on the ground. This could have happened while the car was moving.

While driving bushing that are assembled to the frame of vehicle snapped and sheared off which caused the frame of vehicle to disengage from body. Rear intermitten thumping noise when driving 10-20 mpr. Rear brakes were replaced and inspected with no problem found. Rear suspension track cart, track struts and strut mount assy were replaced by midas mufflers/brakes in forestville, md on 9/20/96. This current thumping noise was noticed a couple weeks ago. I've contacted midas to seek inspection and warrantee replacement of the rear struts.

I was informed by the garage the entire rear assembly was failing and needed to be replaced.
