Vehicle was impacted at 6:00 position while at a complete stop, causing the vehicle to impact again at 12:00 position, driver's side airbag did not deploy.
The owner had a front end collision. He took out fifty feet of fence,went across the street and hit a brick wall at about 40-45mph. Driver's air bag failed to deploy.
I have had this pickup truck for about 3 years and from the time i got ithas been stalling down while driving it. It just shuts my engine off w/o any warning and i pull a trailer alot and so far i have been lucky to be able to coast off road w/o causing accident. I am now going to be on my 4th pmd as my last one just quit and makes it hard to restart diesel. I just ordered another pmd. Not all pmd's went bad the same way. The one in oct. 2011 caused my engine to constantly go to high rpm's about 5k & i had to put truck in neutral , pull off road and turn key off. I talked to original owner and he should me receipts for same problem and chevy dealer changed fuel injection pump & pmd that cost over 2k. This is problem that can cost my life or other people on the highways or on the rr tracks.i have about 159,000 miles now. I bought this truck used and had about 108,000 miles & going on 4th pmd.i live in florida and hotter climates cause more problems with pmd.
When consumer was backed out of the garage , the brake pedal went completely to the floor. At 67,000 miles the wheel sensor went out on the right front. At 65,000mi the left front brake went out. The left front caliper was replaced.the vehicle would not start.the dealer replaced the starter.the tailgate would not open due to broken handle.the dealer replaced the wiper module because the wipers failed intermittently.the shift indicator reading was off and the shifter was not shifting smoothly.the dealer lubed the shift pivot and cables.when putting the vehicle into 4wd the front hubs would not lock.the dealer replaced the front differential actuator and harness.
I own a 1995 chevy k2500, it appears the power window/lock switches on the driver side shorted and caught fire.the interior is ruined, along with much of the electrical components.
Car surges and runs rough, changed leaking base gasket but that did not remedy the problem.

Vehicle has poor pick up.
Truck with 6.5 turbo diesel would sporadically hiccup and stall while driving down the road causing loss of power to operate steering and brakes properly, put truck in neutral and attempt to restart, sometimes it wouldn't for several minutes, other times it would, regaining control of the vehicles power steering and brakes. On several occasions while driving the vehicle would hiccup then start accelerating on it's own with no way to regain control without turning off the ignition and coasting to a stop. Sometimes i would need to try restarting it several times because the engine would race out of control. I have had the fuel injection pump replaced and several pump mounted driver modules "pmd's" from both stanadyne and d tech which gm had authorized to make these parts for them. I also have a 1998 chevy k3500 with the 6.5 turbo diesel that has had the same problems numerous times.

The fuel pump has gone out 4 times in 125,000 miles.every dealer knows what the problem is and says they replace this morethan anything else.other people i know carry spare fuel pumps.it must be a very common problem, and i get the same pump with no changes eack time.i think some product improvement is in order.can you tell what else i need to do.

Vehicle stalls at 55 mph due to fuel injector pump failure.also when coming to a stop and making a turn the vehicle stalls. In addition,the driver's seat has cracked and broke. When taking off and coming to a stop the driver's seat moves back and forward.

As these trucks do not steer well with no power. Nor do the brakes work well while in a stall.tonight it would not start while at a business.i had to sit for 45 minutes waiting on a tow truck. Only to have the truck start once the tow truck arrived.the fsd appears to be the problem. My vehicle has 107,030k miles on it. The contact owns a 1995 chevrolet k2500.one year after the vehicle was purchased, it began stalling.speed was not a factor.the failure occurs without warning while idling or while driving between 5-65 mph.the most recent failure occurred on november 6, 2007.the contact received a safety notice for the fuel injection pump that covered the vehicle for up to 120,000 miles.the recall number was unavailable.the current mileage was 160,000 and failure mileage was 8,000. Drivers side seat frame/bolt is broken.

When stopping the front seat track becameloose,seat goes backward and forward .consumer sttes seat tracks and back supports are always loose, right side bench will not stay lock.
Driver seat mount broke, causing seat to move .its unstable. While driving.and etc.
When applying the abs brakesthey will fade, and the pedal nearly travels to the floor, causing extended stopping distance.
While driving stepped on brake pedal and right front and right rear wheels locked up.brakes have been replaced but problem still exists.mechanics at dealer aren't sure what the problem is.*ml

I have seen recalls for other chevrolet pickups of the same year (95) with abs failures.i have had problems with stopping distance in low speed situations many times.the vehicle does not slow down at all for the first 25-50 feet, it seems to free-wheel.this problem has always been there.i have never received any notification of braking problems for my vehicle.
When owner sometimes applies the brakes he has to push all the way down on the brakes before they respond.
In wet conditions the rear defective abs brakes lock up, causing the vehicle to skid and extended stopping distance which almost caused an accident. Dealer replaced rear wheel brake cylinder and brakes.dealer cannot determine problem.

Whenever shifting from drive to reverse the brakes would lock up. This happens only when reversing. This is the chassis to the winnebago. Its an erractic & intermittent problem. Has taken vehicle to dealer & wasinformedthat the electronic hydraulic park brakeswere the problem.

2 tires had tread separation from casings at 60 mph . Each occurrence were 2 months apart .each tire was mounted at a different location on the vehicle, 1 was on the left front, 1 was on the right rear. Tires each had approx. 11/32nds of tread left. Tires never had any flats or repairs and were maintained according to mfg. Specs. At time of tread seperation both tires never lost a pound of air pressure. No excessive weight was being carried in the truck, only about 200 pounds. Tires were inspected and air pressure checked about 2 hours or 120 miles before seperation, no problems were found at that time. No warning of any type, handling, steering, ride, or noise, was present prior to the moment of tread seperation in either case.(dot number: ao11doa225tiresize: lt24575r16)
Cables that support the tailgate broke due to rusting.
At intersectionvehicle started to surge. It's an intermittent problem. Would take off when foot is off brake. Would shake & run rough. Been to dealers numerous times for surging problem. Mechanic could not locate problem, even after having it test driven.
The truck surges when stopped at intersections. Four times now it has proceeded through the intersection with the brakes engaged.aols once it resulted in rearending another vehicle, luckly without causing any damage to the other car.
