In august, i had a problem with blowing the fuses for the brake light circuit. It was traced to a chaffed wiring harness. This cause the loss of brake lights and if you are towing a trailer with electric brakes, the loss of brakes. In august, i noticed that the rear brake lines were severly rusted and took them to my delaer for replacement. It turnes out that they didn't replace all of them. Last night, one ruptured, causing me to lose my brakes and back into another vehicle. 15 minutes earlier, i was towing a horse trailer! thank god it didn't happen then!
Front axle seals/water pump failed.
Vehicle experiences cold engine knocking due to lower main bearings in the engine failing.
Oil pressure gauge jumps due to failure of the sending unit.
Serpentine belt, fan belt, and timing gears replaced, vehicle used 3 quarts of oil in 4000 miles, valve stem seals replaced in an attempt to correct problem, however after repairs, 1 quart of oil was still being used in 1600 miles.

Received recall notice #99v025000 & contacted dealer. Took vehicle for repairs. Had picked vehicle up & had no brake lights. Informed by mechanic to make another appointment for repairs. Had brake lights before taking vehicle to dealer.

The owner tried to switch from low beams to high beams and lights went completely out. Dealer replaced the switch inside of the steering column.

Transmission experienced several problems, cv joint went out due to no grease from factory, clunking noise, slipping, syncho-ring fork and sprocket assembly broke in the transfer case, rated to pull 7000 lbs, outside experts recommend not pulling over 1000 lbs, transfer case went out, consumer states that the transmissions are rated at a far higher capacity than what they are capable of handling.

Front differential output shaft seals leak.replaced at 21738 miles on 02/26/96, at 36868 miles on 05/19/97 and again at 54921 miles on 10/28/98.

While driving, driver felt seat rocking during turns.upon removal of seat, found multiple cracks in seat frame where the forward, left attaching bold secures seat to rails.

I found the problem two months after purchase. Went on a trip and as we never moved the seats i forgot about. I took it into the dealer for a recall on seat recliner, told them about it, no concern. Took it back for another recall on brake switch. They told me the seat risers on both sides front were worn out, a bad design sence 1994 to 96 after that a new seat riser design was installed in new trucks. Never had this problem before in any vechile. Must be a bad design. Is now dangerous as slides forward when breaking, pass side, drivers side holds but is loose and same condition, thank you. The passenger's front seatwhen lockedmoves 1/4 inch back and forth. When folding up to use the back of club cab,have to move it back and forth. Sometimes it will cause knees to be up to driver's chin. Although did not lock it in that position, it will change locking positions, then it will lock up.

Cheverlot has ignored me ,told me this is how they work . But my pedal still goes to the floor and i run out of brakes . If they would only tell me the truth i would fix it my self.. I allow extra stopping room all the time and have been lucky not to have to had a situation where this happens at the wrong time . Any info ,help on this subject ??
When applying the brakes gently first thing in the morning, they lock up. After using them a few times, they lose braking ability, causing extended stopping distance. The truck has been taken to the dealer numerous times. The dealer is not able to correct this problem.please provide any further details. Brakes completely redone at 42,000 miles.

The contact owns a 1994 chevrolet k1500.the contact took his vehicle to a repair shop for a routine inspection and the inspector smelled gasoline.the inspector noticed that the frame had excessive rust and the fuel and transmission lines failed due to the rusted frame.as of december 1, 2008, the technician stated the vehicle was unable to be repaired.the failure and current mileages were 99,000. Spare tire fell off bottom of truck onto the roadway because of rusted bracket components. Luckily no one was following behind at the time. Have not decided about repair.

Noticeable vibration for several days.assumed tire out of balance.while driving at 75 mph, temperature about 80 degrees, excessive vibrations then banging sound followed by rapid deflation of left rear tire. Tire had lost about 1/2 it's total tread.
Have reported another incident (odi #766215).while driving to have that tire replaced the left front tire developed severe vibration and thumping sound.when checked there was a large bubble, approximately 4"x2"at the junction of the tread and sidewall.the bubble was in the tread section.i had driven about 120 miles after the other tire had separated.

Consumer does not know where spare may have been lost at. Consumer says that he has removed spare a couple times before and even lubricated cable. Consumer has great concern for the danger of what could happen when spare is lost at speed.

In my 37 years of driving, i have never had a seat failure of this kind.i immediately took the vehicle to a chevrolet dealer, and the part manager wrote down the parts and said he would call in an emergency parts order the following monday.he also said there would be no cost to me, even though the vehicle is out of warranty.we'll see!

The windshield wipers stop unexpectedly and do not always come on when needed. The problem was cracked solder joints on the pulse control module for the wiper motor. Consumer stated that the manufacturer issued a recall but his vehicle was not covered.
I have a 1994 chevy 1500 truck that i have found to have the same problems as are involved in a chevy recall but my truck is not included. It has exactly the same problems as the ones involved in your recall.how ever i am required to pay for this fix. I do not believe you vehicles have been looked atclosely enough for all with this problem to have been included.our wiper circuit board is not working just as all the ones that are covered. We are very dissatisfied with service at chevrolet.
The windshield wipers quit working while in use. The consumer had to jiggle the plug that went into the wipers to restart the wipers. The dealership indicated that the failure occurred because of a crack in the solder joints on the controller circuit board. There was a recall 03v15900 for this issue but the truck vin # is outside the remedy scope. The problem existed since the original owners had possession of the vehicle which occurred in 1998. *sc
Windshield wipers fail to work properly after being in use. The problem is intermittent. Wipers come on/off by themselves when turned on. Will be taking vehicle to dealer.
This item is a recall but when dealer corrected it i was charged because of vehicle not being the correct vehicle number. The mechanic informed me that it was the same part that was being replaced in the recall. It seems that maybe you should put the recall on the part not the vehicle number. When this item fails, it creates extremely dangerous condition, of not being able to see out the front windshield during a rain storm. This fix cost me $74.00 which the dealer or chevy could not tell me why i was paying other than they didn't have to because you folks did not include my vehicle # in the recall. I still had the same dangerous condition which put my family in jeopardy numerous times.

Chevrolet says failed windshield wipers were recalled on vehicals produced sevel months after mine fore the same failer. The defective part was installed on more vehicels than the manufacturer's paramerters in the current recall. Additional vehicals such as mine need to be included in the recall before more people get killed due to the the sudden failer of wiper in heavy rain at highway speeds.
