Fire started in dash, possibly due to the cigarette lighter short.

My 1993 k1500 silverado (4wd) pickup lost oil pressure resulting in the need to replace the engine.this problem began in 2001.started as an engine knock (lifter noise) while accelerating uphill.unable to determine cause or repair.used mobile 1 oil for 2 years, eliminated noise.in march of this year after replacement of intake manifold gasket, severe loss of oil pressure and engine noise began.immediately stopped engine and took to a repair facility where i was told engine needed to be rebuilt.i never thought a 350 5.7 liter chevy engine would last only 102,000 miles.my mechanic knows of three other people with the same problem.i never missed an oil change in 10 years and have documentation to prove it.has anyone heard of similar problems?are there any recalls?

Corrosion of the spare tire cable, caused the spare tire under the vehicle to fall out while driving the vehicle.

At first it was hard to pull out seat belt from buckle,and nowpassenger 's seatbelt does not come out at all. Passenger cannot use seat belt to be restrained.

Front seat bolt was defective, causing consumer to fly back into extended cab. Took to dealer tofix the problem on 6/24/99 for a recall on that bolt. Consumer has continually hadproblems with bolt breaking since the recall was done. Consumer has had to replace bolts 4 times. Consumer said luckily he was not on the road when seat flew back.

Driving vehicle andturning corner, seat broke & separated from anchors, lost control of vehicle (first time); took to dealer, had it repaired; second time going straight, seat separated & broke; did not loose control of vehicle; not at dealer this time.

Driving along on slippery pavement at approxiamtely 20mph, vehicle ahead suddenly put on brakes, swerved to keep from hitting. The passenger's seat just fell back, seat will not stay in place,just moves back and forth. Had recall work done this year for the same problem.

- the contact owns a 1993 chevrolet k1500. Chevroletsent the contact recalls 95075 and 94011.after starting the vehicle the passenger front assembly recliner released and the seat reclined.after he reset the seat recliner and began to drive the seat reclined without warning while driving at 30 mph. This failure occurred for 3 days, and he could push the seat back with his finger. The contact stated thiswas a safety concern since this failure could potentially cause a collision.

Rear abs will lock up and stay locked during a hard brake situation.

The hub from rotor broke. Cause is unknown. Please describe the conditon.

Abs brake failure, front right/left brake hose replaced due to rusting and corrosion of exterior clamp.

The windshield wipers work infrequently.sometimes they work in the rain and sometimes they don't.i have tried to detect a pattern but i have not been able too.i also feel that my cruise control is affected by this also because it is part of the same operational assembly arm in the truck.my cruise works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.i have been told by different mechanics that this could be several different problems and the only way to remedy would be to purchase a new motor. (very, very expensive)any information that you can provide will be apprieciated.

10321000 visual systems,windshield wiper: motorwipers start and stop at any time for long periods of time unexpectedly resulting in decreased hazard visibility.

Windshield wipers quit working in the middle of operation.ifwiggled or pressed connector module to themotor, operation continues.problem has not been reported to the dealership. Please provide any further information.

Windshield wipers function intermittently. There is no certain condition for them to stop functioning. Dealer says there is a short in the circuit board.
