Consumer noticed gas dripping from the tank, took to service station he was told that the tank was severely dented and had ruptured, replaced fuel tank.a few weeks later the same thing happened and fuel replaced fuel tank.*yd
Pressed the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. After inspection i found that the rear steel brake line failed. If i had not been pulling down the driveway when this happened and on the street i may have crashed as a result. The failure point is right beside the diesel tank on the frame rail.
I have a 1999 chevrolet gmt-400 pickup with abs brakes. The abs sensor is defective, causing the abs to activate at low speeds,such as in parking lots. I have had a lot of close calls due to this manufacturing defect.general motors corporation had a recall on 1999 chevy silverados due to this manufacturing defect. They removed and cleaned the abs sensors and coated them with a substance to prevent future rusting of the components. I went to a chevrolet dealership to check on this recall for my vehicle. I was told it was not covered under the recall. I believe the braking system is the same as the 1999 chevy silverado and should have been included in this recall. I live in the so called "rust belt " area included in the recall. Please look into this matter for me. Thank you.
