No deployment of air bags during collision.

As a result of vehicle highdroplanning at the rate of speed 45 mph through a water puddle, hitting a tree with front end.air bags did not deploy at any time. Please provide further information.ak

Vehicle was involved in head-on collision at 60 mph.upon impact, the airbags did not deploy, causing the driver to sustain minor injuries .dealer and manufacturer have been notified.

#1-mounting brackets for drivers seat broke . Seat falls backwards!!(this problem was not yet reported to dealer when typing this letter) #2- original engine (350 cid)- knocked on startup- engine was replaced with original long block supplied by waranty co.-- replacement engine still has very load knocking at startup.

Concerning airconditioning system:the a/c was innoperative when i purchased the vehicle and had to be serviced before it was released to my ownership.for each autmn season since i have owned the vehicle, the a/c has failed after the first hard freeze for our area.it has been my suspicion that an o-ring or seal has been defective.this past may when i took it in for a/c service because it would not cool, i had to pay out-of-pocket for the service since the vehicle was off warranty.my complaint is that gm/chevrolet appears to provide defective seals/o-rings/valves for aftermarket repairs.the dealership reported that "chevrolet airconditioners always leak and coolant refill is expected".ha!my second compalaint about this vehicle is its braking system/service.the dealership turned the rotors on this vehicle at 21000 miles.i find that odd because i don't drive in stop/go conditions for the majority of my travels (i live in very rural area).since that servicing my brakes have pulsed under normal braking condidtions, yet the dealer assures my that it is just the abs.??? not likely.if so, it is abnormal in my opinion.

This is only a representative report on one gm vehicle in an effort to draw attention to this serious problem we have had with many gm vehicles in the last year and one-half.we operate about 12 gm vans, pickups, tahoes, suburbans and mini-vans and we have had about 8 fuel pump failures on them, some while still in warranty, and some just out of warranty.we are now starting on the "second round" of replacing fuel pumps on some of the same vehicles we replaced them on several months ago.in the 1995, 1996, 1997 & 1998 vehicles i mentioned, the fuel pumps fail with regularity and create a very dangerous situation if one is on a crowded thorofare or a railroad crossing.we discussed this problem with our gasoline supplier (lion oil co.) and they assured us it was not a fuel problem.the local dealers tried to blame the problem on our fuel supply, but the problem is prevalent with gm dealers throughout the southeast u.s. We were told by lion oil.the fuel pumps are made of cheap plastic materials and probably cost the dealer about $50 but they charge $427 for them to a customer.for gm owners this is a very dangerous driving hazard and unfair financial situation to have to contend with as the fuel pumps go out with no notice and the vehicle comes to a halt.the two dealers i have dealt with will verbally acknowledge that there is in fact a problem with the pumps, but they say their hands are tied until gm issues a recall.how many dollars must be wasted and how many drivers must be endangered before this happens?and will owners like myself be reimbursed for the errors of gm's ways?thank you. No safety defect mentioned.

When the door is pushed shut the door does not shut all the way and comes open when driving. Dealer tried to fix once, the problem still exists.

The contact owns a 1995 chevrolet g20. The contact was driving 20 mph and applied the brakes when the pedal depressed to the floorboard abnormally. The vehicle was maneuvered to the shoulder and coasted to a stop. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home where an independent mechanic examined the vehicle but was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also filed a complaint with the manufacturer. The failure and current mileages were 62,173.the plunger in the master cyclinder was incapable of propelling the brake fluid through thelines and the brake cyclinders could not expand. While vehicle was in reverse it would not engage immediately.when it finally engaged, a thumping noise was heard. Dealer has been notified.

Rear drive axel always noisy, seal broke 2 times, causing damage to breaks. There is scoring of the drive axle and housing damage. I t has been repaired but i am informed i need a new rear end but that chevrolet does not produce them. Nhtsa reports indicate this is a common problem. I do not want to pay 850.00 to relace my used rear end with a used one that will function just as badly. Where can i get new reliable repair parts from the factory. Do they acknowledge this defect and are they making any compensation. Come on this is a 44,000.00 g-20 mark iii conversion van, i would expect a better drive system than this. Help please. Owner states that none of the seat belts in her vehicle canaccommodate a child safety seat,the seat belts just do not fit around any child seat.owner questions the safety of this vehicle because of this problem,dealers have been unable to correct problem.

While driving the captain seat started leaning back to a reclining position, and presently, the seat won't sit back to an upright position.

Wihle driving on the abs system failed. Please describe.

Turned off street vehicle surged spontaneously. Thought cruise control was activated, pressed on pedal car flewlike a bullet, stood on brake and emgergency brake coasted 7/10ths of a mile,dlr unable to duplicate the problem.

Owner has abs brakes, he states that his rear wheels locked up under braking; he also notes that his electrical system could be the cause ot the problem, he took vehicle to several dealers and was that their was fauly wiring and a speed sensor.

Whencoming to complete stop, then wants to apply gas, brakes will not release.hears loud popping noise, after few seconds, then brakes will relase. When braking vehicle begins to sway/drift/pull in right direction, this defect can result in an accident.

Door assembly, will not properly adjust, causing a large gap in the bottom of vehicle.

Traveling straight at highway speeds (65mph), on a very smooth highway, a loud pop was heard and my front end driver's side suspension collapsed.i veered left, started to roll, and was righted by a toyota tacoma in the lane to my left.the tacoma proceeded to wrap around the front of my vehicle colliding with a vehicle in the lane to my right.two vehicles were totaled and the driver of the tacoma sustained injuries.the recently installed suspension (moog components, installed by firestone) had twice been inspected by firestone in the previous 6,000 miles.(suspension installed 10,000 miles prior to accident, inspected 6,000 and 3,000 miles prior to accident because i noted to firestone observed excessive tire wear and a suspension clunking noise).the patrolman on scene did not cite me because he observed the otherwise broken suspension was of new, recently installed condition.a lower ball joint failure appears to have been the cause. Given the severity of the accident i requested all failed suspension components be placed in my vehicle.when i arrived to pick up the vehicle i was informed these parts were discarded.two days after i picked up the vehicle i formally requested firestone address a series of suspension concerns i had, one year later, no response on any concern.500 miles after the suspension re-repair, i once again was experiencing a clunking noise and another firestone retail center determined alignment shims were missing, and on replacement the clunking noise disappeared. Firestone has not responded if their could be a connection between shim omission and premature ball joint failure.

Noise was like it was straining when acclelrating and/or braking.consumer had a loss of power had to replace sway bushings, vehicle began to over heat in which thermostat was replaced, consumer complained of noises from rear end but was advised could not duplicate, consumer also complained of a ticking noise but was advised that was normal, also speaker on left side has static unable to be duplicated, noise in brakes when backing up,front door does not close properly makes a bang noise,drive belt squeaking, serpentine belt was replaced, water leaking into vehicle windshield was fitting pooly replaced windshield, vacuum brake booster was replaced,steering wheel vibrates at 40 mph, cigarrette lighter when in use smokes due to ashes on lighter element also ignition coil had to be relaced due to corrosion hydraulic system was replaced .

When driving the rear end makes noise . Please describe .

The rear springs on the back part of the vehicle is causing both front tires to wear excessively.the dealer informed consumer that the cause was due to the wrong size springs used at time of manufacture. Ts

When turning off highway steering seemed wobbly. Turned into big timber at about 25mph, steering shook as we made turn, all due to tire separation mostly insid area of the wheel.

Anti-lock brake systems does not operate properly. Door hinges previously replace while still under warranty no longer operate properly they are either broken or stuck.seat belts are twisted or fail to retract. Front doors have shifted downward. Rear power reclining seat is stuck in down position.was struck on front passengers side while traveling about 55mph air bag did not deploy.recently had to have egr valve replaced only to find out that my 1995 van had 1996 parts.could not find this part in any auto parts store in town so i ended up having to go to salvage to get one for $50, it was almost $200.00 new and even after waiting a week for the part the auto parts store did not get one.the hinges for my van are $43 each and i am sure others have had the same problem.the dealership says this should be expected because of the snow and salt in our state.it just seems chevrolet should have redesigned these hinges.

Turned off street vehicle surged spontaneously. Thought cruise control was activated, pressed on pedal car flewlike a bullet, stood on brake and emgergency brake coasted 7/10ths of a mile,dlr unable to duplicate the problem.

Vehicle experienced the same defect with it'swindshield wiper as stated in recall 03 v159 000 but it's vin number is not included.

While driving in inclement weatherwindshield wipers will malfunction and stop working; driver's visibility is poor.

Windshield wipers failed intermittently due to wiring harness connector malfunctioning.recall 98v15001 wasissued, however, this vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin.

Windshield wipers work intermittently or not at all this is due toa faulty circuit board.

Four steel pins that mounts front passenger wheel to the hub snapped causing the wheel to fly off/loss of control.

The steel pens that the tire is mounted on the hub broke.
