The front of my vehicle was impacted by heavy snow/slush thrown from a snowplow moving westbound on a city street at an estimated speed of 40 mph. My vehicle was moving eastbound at about 35 mph.the front grill of my vehicle was damaged and the front bumper was pushed out of place.i think the airbag should have deployed?

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated that while driving, there was an abnormal chemical odor inside of the vehicle, coming through the air vents while the air conditioner was activated.the failure was present after the auto fuel shut off was activated and the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to preston hood chevrolet located at 212 sw hollywood blvd, fort walton beach, fl (850) 664-7000, however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 600.
Theelectronic speed control suddenly stopped working and no longer functions. The automatic stop feature causes the vehicle to lurch forward suddenly when you press the gas peddle following a stop. The dynamic braking suddenly engages while driving at highway speeds on the interstate and there are no other vehicles or obstructions in the area.
The vechicle's engine shuts off while stopped for a very short time on roads in traffic.it can be a major highway, or interstate and even neighborhood roads. It can be hazardous as the vehicle takes a minute to start back up and get going.i had no idea this feature even existed, before i experienced it after purchasing.i am also experiencing problems with the tailgate/trunk locking. I lock the vehicle, and all doors lock except the trunk. I have only had the vehicle since dec 31,2018and am very surprised to be experiencing these issues so soon.
Automatic engine shutoff did not restart at a busy stop light. Car shut down. Had to tow my car to auto repair. Computer code error u0284,b2575. Engine stalls. Fixed the problem and 10 days later, i am driving and the car stops in the middle of the road again. Diagnosis is the same reason that the computer is not communicating with the car to start the engine.
Vehicle lost all power while pulling into a 4 way main road.vehicle emergency lights/flashers did not work. Complete electrical failure. Car was stalled in active traffic lane during night time hours. Vehicle was towed into dealer for full diagnostic review- no issue was found with vehicle, although several eec test codes were detected- p0627, p0629, p01400, u18a2, u1524 and u18b4+71- most codes having to do with fuel pump/emission issues.owner of vehicle considers this a serious issue as car stalled at night, in a heavy traffic area with no lighting or emergency flashers working to provide protection from on-coming traffic.emergency personnel were called to assist.
The infotainment in the vehicle does not work properly. It is hit or miss. Either it will work and i will not see any issues or it wont work. The sound will not work which then does not allow for the turn signal noise to work. The ac fan is not showing on when it is. The software on this device is very glitchy.
I am unable to gauge the time needed for the car to restart after "autostop" shuts the motor at a hard stop. This is dangerous for all drivers as even when lifting my foot from the brake the car does not move as it should in "drive." instead, placing my foot on the gas pedal is required. This causes unexpected delays in beginning to drive that could have severe and long lasting consequences. I do not at all feel safe in this vehicle. This happens both during city and highway driving, i.e. When sitting in traffic. Other manufacturers have a switch to deactivate "autostop." chevrolet does not. I believe a mandatory recall is required to remedy this clear safety over site.
In my vehicle owner's manual (part no. 84134729 b), there is an error on page 352 which misidentifies the positive and negative terminals of a battery used for jump starting.under the subtitle, jump starting - north america, the terminals noted as (3) and (4) should be (4) and (3).
Purchased new car on september 7 2019. Started having car issues on 9/25/2019 took car in on 9/27/2019. Car was making loud screeching noises, brake pedal would get hard. Was hard to break. When reversing screeching noise would get louder and louder. Was told by a chevrolet technician car was fine it was because it was new. Took car in once again on 12/26/2019 vehicle would randomly not turn on, brake pedal would get hard, car would screech. Came to the point were i was scared to take the car to the grocery store because i was unsure on whether the car would randomly not start. Inform chevrolet of everett and was told it was 3 bolts, and was given the car back. Took car to california after the dealer told me car was completely safe. 1/14/2020 car was towed to dealership because it would not turn on. Called chevrolet they said they do not know what is wrong with the car. They do not understand why it turns off and why it won't turn on. Called gm motors they said they are unable to help but i can start a case in which i did. Went to chevrolet on 1/24/2020 they said they have no idea on why the vehicle is having starting problems, tried making me take the vehicle home knowing it is unsafe because they can't fix it.car has been sitting in shop now for 14 days and no one has information on how to help me, nor has anyone contacted me, i have calling records on how many calls i've made to gm motors trying to get a hold of anyone who can help me but they always state no one is available to help me. Gm motors also did 'advice'me to not seek any legal help if i wanted to be helped.
The autostopfeature turned the car off and did not turn on when i pressed the accelerator and i was in a intersection and i waited for ten minutes and it turned on again. The problem was with the computer which wasn't working.
I was traveling on cruise control at 60 mph when i clicked down to 55 mph at speed change. A couple minutes later the brakes slammed on hard enough to have the front wheels chirpingi dont know if rear brakes came on but i went from 55 down to under 30 in a hard panic braking. This threw my wife up aganist her seat belt since she has had a stroke her resistanse to the hard slow down was low. I stepped on the gas and the brakes released i cant remember if i re engaged the cruise control or if it never disingaged. The other thing that happened was the warning about not using the info display while driving came up this only happens now and than when you start the car. So i suspect i had a momentary power lose in that circuit and what ever else is tied in to the info centerim retired but i worked in mechanical engr all my life so i have some knowledge of systems
While driving home from work at 9:30 pm on a state highway, my 17 year old son hit a deer on the front passenger side of the car. The airbags deployed and he slowed down and pulled over and smelled smoke. He got out of the car and saw flames. He immediately called 911 and his mother. The car was on fire and burned until fire company got there and put the fire out. Most of the passenger side of the car under the hood was destroyed. The car was a total loss.my concern is that car should never have caught on fire. My son is lucky he could get out of the car. He was shaken up and got whiplash from the impact but seems to be ok. However, my brand new 2019 equinox is not ok. I can tell you, if the car hadn't started on fire, structurally, there wasn't a ton of damage. It could have easily been repaired. I would like to know how this happened?
Same errors codes i received less than 30 days ago when my car stopped whiledriving. This past 7/2/2021 my car stopped while in the mist of making a right turn.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. While driving approximately 65 mph, the adaptive cruise control shut off and the "adaptive cruise control not available" indicator illuminated. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to dunlap motors (866-715-7154, located at 520 1st street east, independence, ia 50644) where the computer system was reprogrammed. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer who reprogrammed the computer again. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000. *pmconsumer states each time failure occurred no cars were ahead of them but the vehicle would brake abruptly. On 12/17/19 a monitor was placed in vehicle by the manufacturer, but they have not heard anything back about it. Consumer states that they have also experienced issues with the phone, radio and rear defroster. This leads them to think that something is wrong with the wiring in the vehicle. *dl
While in motion the car randomly and quickly decelerates and will not allow you to accelerate. Phillips chevrolet has attempted to repair the car citing engine power reduction, transmission, stabilatrak and non verifiable issues over a 2 month period.within that 2 month period, may 18, 2020 to july 24, 2020, there were 7 attempts to repair the car.all 7 attempts were unsuccessful. Service esc message came on twice my new 2019 chevy equinox premier( each time vehicle was stationary).i dismiss message each time so i can see the digital odometer when i drive, and take vehicle to my dealership (each time they don't document the problem). They said, each time, message has to be on for them to detect the problem. Is that true?

I have 33k miles on the vehicle and when driving the car feels as if it wants to shut down. A few recent drives, on city street,i've been feeling the car struggling to accelerate causing a jerking forward motion. Another issue i have is i recently had to put air in my right rear tire, when i plugged my tire inflator in the electric socket and turned the power on, the car sounded like it was struggling to stay on and the engine was becoming increasingly noisier. I proceeded to put air in my tire and the right break light began flashing, only the right brake light. I had used my tire inflator in the past on same vehicle about a year ago and had zero issues. I also received notification from onstar today, 5/13/20 that the system had detected a fuel emissions issue and then my engine light turned on.
I was sitting at a stop light.when the light turned green i took my foot off the brake and applied the gas pedal.the car did not respond to the gas pedal at first and just sat there.after a few seconds i was able to start moving.this situation almost caused me to be rear ended.this is the second time this has happened and had the vehicle in for service a few weeks ago for same issue.
While on vacation traveling on 81s in va & doing 70 mph on the 3-lane hwy., without a warning a power reduction message appeared on the dash; then the check engine light came on.our vehicle went from 70 mph (posted speed) to 40 mph. In a matter of seconds.we had a tractor trailer pushing us & a car passing us on the left.had it not been for the fast reactions of my husband and help from the man above, we would now be 6' under.after shaking & gaining our wits, we consulted the vehicle handbook to check on a possible reason for the power reduction & how to proceed. This accident would have been logged as driver error, when actually it was vehicle malfunction.we left the vehicle in va at a chev dealership on monday & they advise it would be 4 days until they could work on the unit.we agreed to pick it up friday on our return trip to pa.the dealership called thurs. Morning to advise it was ready.we had to request paperwork showing that it was worked on & that they found no issues with it, but that the check engine light went out.upon arriving home, we took the unit to our local dealership and while the unit did not register a code in the computer a mechanic did find---5242 vehicle has a u0100 lost communication with the ecu--checked communication with the pcm, tcm & bcm---no poor connections found at this time.the dealership drove the vehicle for two weeks, but could not duplicate the issue.it is with much trepidation that we must now drive this vehicle for 3 yrs. Until our lease is up and will not be able to allow passengers in it for fear of this happening again and taking their lives too.we have read five reasons for the 2019 equinox to experience a power reduction, but none of them fit what we experienced.we would like to suggest further testing & investigation into this matter.our unit had 4,785 miles on it when this incident happened.
Same errors codes i received less than 30 days ago when my car stopped whiledriving. This past 7/2/2021 my car stopped while in the mist of making a right turn.
Same as others the turnbo intake tube came off. They tried to repair it with the clip kit and that did not work. My car as been at the dealer since 6/1 waiting for a charge intake tube. No eta on status as its back ordered.
The engine "auto stop" feature can have enough of a delay to allow the accelerator to be pressed as the engine starts causing it to lurch forward rather than accelerate smoothly. It also can cause a delay when pulling out into heavy traffic. There is currently no way to temporarily or permanently defeat the system on this gm model according to gm service department. Though i am sure it is operating as designed for certain owner driving styles and traffic conditions this can be a serious hazard. Car makers should be required to either disable the feature permanently by owner request or have a method for the owner to bypass the system.
The auto stop engine feature has no control device to disable the feature. Auto engine stop causes the vehicle to lurch forward when restarting from the auto stop condition at traffic lights. I have also experienced hesitation of the restart condition when making a left turn at a busy interesection causing myself slight panic when trying to accelerate to complete the turn with oncoming traffic approaching. Very dangerous! this feature should be allowed to be turned off by the owner especially when driving in rush hour traffic. Safety is more important than fuel consumption.
I was driving on the highway at 70 mph when i heard a loud bang. The vehicle immediately loss engine power and began 'sputtering.' the reduces engine power warning came on and the check engine light. I was able to safely make it off the interstate before the car completely stalled/quit. I have to have the vehicle towed and pushed into the service bay. I was told the intake valve was damaged and came loose. This could have been a very dangerous even fatal situation if theirs had been a car tailgating me.
I was out driving on a normal errand when my car suddenly seemed to lose all ability to accelerate. When i pressed on the accelerator nothing happened and i could only advance in the car at less than 5 mph. Fortunately i was just leaving my neighborhood and on a residential street where the speed limit was only 35 mph anyways, but i shudder to think about what could have happened if i lost the ability to accelerate when i was on a highway or interstate, or even making a turn in front of oncoming traffic on a normal road. As any driver knows, you estimate your ability to safely turn in front of oncoming traffic based on your car's accelerator working. If i had made that judgment, attempted to turn, and not been able to accelerate and instead been left in the middle of oncoming traffic, i could have been hit and seriously injured or worse. There were no warning lights or anything that appeared prior to the incident. After losing the ability to accelerate, i received an email from chevrolet within 10 minutes stating "an issue with the emissions system in your 2019 chevrolet equinox has been detected. Please service your vehicle within 7 days.please disregard this message if your vehicle is already in for service. Inaccurate notifications can be generated during service." my car ended up being towed to the dealer for service where they confirmed and reproduced the problem. They said something about the emissions system valve(s) had to be replaced, and that this was a relatively common problem they had seen in other chevrolet equinoxes too, but were not aware of any recall being issued yet.
There is a major hose problem with this vehicle. While driving, a hose came loose on two different occasions that caused a warning message on the dash that said "engine power is reduced" and the vehicle would not go above 40 mph. This is extremely dangerous and i was just informed this is now happening all over the country and chevy will be issuing a recall.
Purchased 2019 equinox had 957 miles on it when "check engine" light appeared. Took it into dealership and they said code was p0442 evap small leak. They found purge tube not seated fully. Prior to driving it into dealership we smelt gas fumes in the interior cabin. 23 days later "check engine" light appeared at 1426 miles. Heard loud pop coming from rear of car.again gas fumes can be smelt in the interior cabin. Dealership said code p0442 again but it was from the evap canister "o" ring failure. This emission system seems faulty as it is a sealed unit but smelling gas fumes in the interior is not safe at all.
The turbo cooler tube pops off when you accelerate. This causes the check engine light to come on and the vehicle to go into engine reduce power mode. Vehicle max speed will then be set to 45 - 55 miles an hour. I was able to push the tube back into place, it ran fine for another 100 miles than popped off again. I called my dealership and talked with the service person and he new exactly what i was talking about.he said there is a clamp service kit to fix. I asked him if there was a recall on this he said no it doesn't happen very often but they are aware of the issue.
Once i have warmed the car and put it in motion whether in reverse or forward as i slow down to come to a stop light or yield the car either starts to die or dies completely. I can try to push the drivers pedal and sometimes it will crank back up and continue in motion and sometimes, in the middle of traffic i might have to put on the brake, put it in park and start it all over again.this is very scary, very dangerous!!! doesn't matter the type of road i am on. I was told this is a normal thing for this vehicle, but this is hard for me to believe that a car is made to go dead at a moments notice in traffic.
Bought equinox with 9 miles o it on monday 05/27/2019 and on friday 5/31/2019 on the way home from going to dinner, with only 213 miles on the vehicle, the check engine light came on and the engine power is reduced warning light came on. Looked up the error code on line, because the owner's manual is not that easy. Code displayed could shut engine offat any time to prevent further damage. Thank god we were a 2 miles from home.
I was in the driveway at my home getting ready to leave for church, i was pulling forward before i backed up thinking i might be too close to the gates. When i moved forward with my foot on the brake to just creep along, the engine revved up to an astromical speed. I was head toward my son's truck. I steered away but caught the bumper of an f350 . My car is totally destroyed. I knocked the truck over two feet from where it was sitting and pushed it within one or two inches of going through my house where my son was asleep in the recliner. Before i hit the brick post holding up one end of my car port, i was able to move the car into park and stop it. The hill assist light was on when i got out of the car. I was going down a slight incline and not up a hill. My drive is only about 20-25 feet and the car was going at an alarming rate. Fortunately, i was just bruised and sore from the impact.
After leaving the dealership to have them put on the plate, the check engine light came on. I drove it to a secure location so i could get someone to follow me back to the dealership for service. The car did not have full power. When i went to pull out of the secure location , i took my foot off the brake and the car stopped. I decided to have the car towed, the car had only 45 miles on it. I picked up the car from service, they reported that they removed and inspected the intake duct seal and retaining clip.installed duct to throttle body and check duct locks into place, intake duct is secure. As i was driving home, the same thing happened again. The car was towed again, the car has 60 miles on it. I am waiting for a response from the dealer. Both times the rate of speed was around 45 - 50 mph.
2019 chevy equinox turbo hose blew off.the retaining clip failed to properly hold hose in place. The hose blew completely off making a loud noise.the vehicle then immediately went into low power mode.all acceleration was gone.loss of power created the rpm's to increase while going up hill the engine struggling to climb.. The vehicle lost speed all the way up the hill.the turbo was useless at this point.very unsafe to suddenly lose that much power to yoour vehicle.gm has to find a solution to this problem.my local dealer is not very helpful.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle backfired and the check engine warning indicator illuminated, which meant there was reduced power. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was taken to cape coral chrysler dodge jeep ram (2200 ne pine island rd, cape coral, fl 33909) where it was diagnosed that the turbo needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred with a burning plastic odor. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed a second time that the turbo needed to be replaced. The vehicle was later taken to roger dean chevrolet (101 sw pine island rd, cape coral, fl 33991, (239) 74-3326) where it was diagnosed that the turbo failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,000.
Turbo hose that connects to the throttle bottle pops off under acceleration, and engine loses power.this is an extreme safety issue.it happened two times on our trip home from purchasing the car brand new.
For unknown reasons vehicle caught fire. Vehicle was parked in a motel gravel parking lot for about 10 hours after having been driven for about 7 hours. Engine compartment was completely consumed by the fire before being put out by fire department.
Traveling south on 81 in the far right lane, a triple lane highway. With heavy morning work traffic going 70 mph with an 18-wheeler pushing our vehicle & a car passing us on the left, our 2019 equinox dropped to 40 mph and a power reduction message appeared on the dash.the check engine light came on at the same time the speed dropped down 30 mph.it was by the grace of god that the 18-wheeler missed our vehicle and we were able to pull to the side of the road.my husband put the engine in park and revved the engine checking to see if the vehicle would take fuel.the power reduction light cleared off the screen, but the check engine light stayed on.we slowly traveled to a gas/comfort area (in woodstock, va) and read our vehicle handbook for possible reasons of power reduction---there were quite a few, but none that we could relate to.we stayed over night at a motel and monday (6/3/19) took our vehicle to the local chevrolet dealership.after being told they couldn't work on our vehicle until thursday, we had to continue our trip in a rental unit.we were contacted by the dealership on thursday (6/6/19) that our vehicle was ready for pickup.the unit threw no codes, but the check engine light did go out after their diagnostic check.we arranged to pick up our vehicle friday morning and drove it home with much trepidation.the unit was taken to our local chevrolet dealership, where it was purchased and they have been driving it to make the same mechanical defect occur; but to no avail.to face death once and survive, does not make one comfortable to drive the same vehicle.had we died after being hit by the 18-wheeler, the fault would have gone to driver's error as one reads in many accidents in the news.
The turbo cooler tube pops off when you accelerate.this causes the check engine light to come on and the vehicle to go into engine reduce power mode. Vehicle max speed will then be set to 55 miles an hour.engine and engine compartment gets hot due to no proper cooling.i went to chevy dealer and they stated this is starting to become a known issue with no fix.chevy snapped the tube back into place, but it popped off again.dangerous when on highway and speed immediately reduces to 55 mph and also very bad on overheating the engine
The tube connecting the exhaust to the turbo has become disconnected not once, not twice, but three separate times while driving. The second time fixed was with a newly designed gm part specifically to eliminate the issue. Which clearly did not occur. Owned the vehicle a total of three months with 2260 miles all driven by myself and the vehicle has spent a month and more at the dealership for repairs.
8/23/19 i bought a new, 2019 equinox premier. On 9/19/19 traveling 70 mph on interstate 70 near columbus, oh, car made loud bang, shook, and went to reduced power mode.car behind us was able to quickly change lanes avoiding a crash.towed to wyler chevrolet, told car had a recall notice regarding charge cooler hose. We were never notified of recall. Wyler told us it's fixed so we continued trip to pittsburgh. 9/22/19 same thing happened. This time towed to classic chevrolet in pittsburgh, they knew nothing about the recall but found it on gm website, printed the necessary repair information, 9/23/19 told us car had a guaranteed fix. 9/24/19, driving 70 mph in pittsburgh rush hour traffic, bang, shaking car, reduced power mode. Onstar told us to drive to crevilli chevrolet in pittsburgh. Mychevrolet told us they would pay for a rental so we could return to cincinnati and tow the car to our dealer joseph chevrolet in cincinnati. 9/28/19 car is still sitting where we parked it at crevilli in pittsburgh. We have a case number and advisor. Unfortunately we know nothing as they won't return phone calls and have no documentation that they will pay for rental car. We are fl residents and have to be in flfor medical appointments by 10/7/19 however our brand new car is inpittsburgh. Internet search reveals numerous stories regarding same scenario while driving 2019 equinox. Unbelieveable that chevrolet is allowed to continue selling these defective vehicles putting drivers in harms way. All who have posted online complain about terrible gm customer service. My wife and i are 73, on a fixed income, and this stress is taking a toll on our health. Financially we are making payments on a vehicle that can't be driven and is sitting in pittsburgh.what are we to do? no on will tell us the status of our case.
I have a 2019 equinox that i bought with only 29 miles when purchased5/22/19. Within the secondweek of driving the vehicleon the freeway i heard a popping noise andi then the a message came a cross the screen sayinglising power from the engine! i was so scared on the freeway ! i have a new car, what could be the problem!the car reducedspeed! i took it to george matick chevrolet . My car was in the shop for 2 days and they discoveredit was the air tube had came off! my car was returned back to me after service. 2 weeks later while driving to indianapolisthe tube popped9ff again! i called on star they navigatedme to the nearestdealership.the dealer connectedthe tube back and told me it was okay to drive ,and showed me how to reconnectthe tube if it came off again! this was so scary to be on the highway with a new car and things like this is happening! i no longer wants this vehicle!i get back to michigantakes it to the dealershipnow they have to order the part it will take a coupleof days to get the part in. Ok the car is fixed again! 3 weeks later the same problemafter a new tube was placed on the car 6/ 26 /19, the car is back at the dealershipsame problemplus now they have to changethe throttle!i feel like i bought a nightmare!😡😭
This 2019 equinox is 1.6l diesel engine. I bought it brand new. I have been to the service 5 times with a problem message "engine power is reduced". When this happens, the vehicle cannot run over 15mph. Every time this happens, i am on a freeway and all of a sudden the vehicle slows down and i cannot get it to run over 15mph. Very dangerous and big safety issue because in most case this happened, i semi truck is behind me running at freeway speed limit, honking at me to get out of the way and i am nervously trying to find an emergency lane to stop. When i am on the fast lane, it is difficult to find an emergency quickly. Now that i read this accident story, https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/young-father-killed-in-suspected-duii-crash-on-highway-26-in-boring/ar-bb1dfxou?ocid=hplocalnews , i am very scared to drive my equinox. Today is january 31, 2021. My equinox is at ron tonkin chevrolet service department for the same problem "engine power is reduced" "cleaning exshaust filter, continue driving".how can i continue driving when it is not safe as it won't run over 15mph. The first time this happened, they told me the deisel engine has to go to a regeneration process. They said they had to manually do it. Then it happened again, this time they said there is a programming issue update. It happened again twice, this time the engine light comes on. They replaced an sop part. It happened again. This is the same issue why it's at the dealership department today. This a big safety issue. Please help!note: i am gathering the service records. The date it first happened may not be accurate. I will provided copies later.
Same as others charge intake tube issue. They tried to repair it with clips and that did not work. My car has been at the dealer since 6/1/19 with no eta on repair as the part is on back order. This happened while i was driving on the highway
I was driving about 45 mph and i heard a noise. Engine said speed reduce. When i went to brake the car hard no power brake and was very difficult to stop. It can not be drive because i have no brakes
On may 18th 2019 while accelerating from 45 to 65 mph to enter onto a freeway, heard/felt loud pop from engine, lost power warning lights appeared "reduced power".contacted on star, noted the problem drove to dealer 8 miles away, diagnosed as plastic clamp on hose from turbo charger broke.equinox had 732 miles on it, in shop for 14 days waiting for fix.metal clamp added to re-enforce the plastic clamp, dealer stated new hose ordered as still defect in the plastic coupling.august 7th, back at the dealer to install new tube for turbo charger.august 13th driving 45mph, accelerated lightly maybe from 1600 rpm up to 2500 rpm, felt/heard pop from bottom of engine same warning of reduced power.same issue as before, different part of the tub from engine to turbo charger.this is a defect in engineering, need nhtsa to step up, order gm to fix this properly.no longer trust this vehicle.still summer here, will be very unsettled during the winter when temps can stay below 20 degrees for weeks or colder how a plastic tube will react to the cold in a hot engine compartment.nhtsa needs to act now before this causes accidents with injuries or death because of negligence on the part of gm and those engineers that designed this weak system.this what a government agency is supposed to do, protect the consumers.we purchased a new vehicle to drive not be worried if it will get us safely to where we need to go!
When the vehicle is in motion an intermittent foul chemical type odor emits into the car through all of the a/c vents. I have been in contact with the general motors customer assistance, my dealership service department and the bbb autoline whom are all aware that there is a problem with the vehicle stated in a technical service bulletin and in a recall for the issue but gm states there is no repair to completely eliminate the condition at this time.after 4 service repair attempts and a final repair attempt, the problem is still occurring, in which gm, dealership service departments and bbb autoline are aware as well.this nauseating odor is a chemical type pollution emitting into the vehicle cabin that presents a health concern and safety hazard for myself and all other occupants while inside the vehicle. The odor is so potent that it adversely affects my ability to safely control the vehicle while in motion. The impure ac is nauseating and takes my focus off of the road and into an immediate panic to find a way to get the contaminated air out of the vehicle as quickly as possible. This problem/defect with the vehicle creates an unsafe and unhealthy condition. The component/part causing the problem is unknown by all parties. Tsb: pit2726. Gm recall:n192271200.
While vehicle is coming to a hard stop or occasionally while making a right turn, there is a loud noise heard from the engine area. Service center indicated this is a known issue with the vehicle but it was not covered under warranty. The condition has existed since i purchased the vehicle. Service center indicated the noise heard is due to the turbo unit hitting the radiator and special tape could be applied to damped or eliminate the noise. The repair was $550. Bulletin 19-na-098 was referenced from chevy.
Our college age daughter had a potentially dangerous problem recentlyinvolving her brand new 2019 chevy equinox losing power in the middleof traffic on the expressway! she called me crying and frantic sayingthat a tractor-trailer was right behind her when this happened.she managed to pull over to an exit and park in a nearby plaza parkinglot. When i got there and drove the car the tach was up over 2,000rpm's but the car was only going about 15 mph! i decided it was unsafeto drive so we had it flatbedded to the dealership where we leased thevehicle.there an experienced tech opened the hood and showed us exactly whatthe problem was. He said the hose from the turbo-charger had comeloose! and that without that hooked up to the engine, the engine wouldhave lost about 80% of its power!we were really upset that this happened on a brand new equinox withonly 500 miles on it!our daughter could have been killed!
Same issue as most of the other complaints. While driving on the highway about 60 mph we heard a loud pop.we thought we hit something in the middle of the road. The check engine light came on and the warning that we were losing power.we didn't see anything leaking and the manual said it was okay to drive with the warning light. Since it was late at night there were no open chevy dealers we nursed it home. The next morning we took it to the dealer we bought the car from and they knew what it was right away because they had someone come in the day before with the same issue, the clip that connects a hose to the throttle body popped off.they put the hose back on and but kept the vehicle so they could put a new clip on it.it's been two weeks and we are still waiting for the part to come in. The car is brand new, it has 2000 miles on it.
While driving at freeway speeds, there was a loud pop sound and then the engine went into reduced power mode & the check engine light came on. Dealer states that it is the charge cooler air tube that becomes detached from throttle body. Multiple service writers have stated there is no official fix from gm. Two dealers have claimed to "fix" my issue, but it went into the shop again today for the fourth time for the same issue. First occurrence was at 149 miles. Next three were between 7500-8200 miles. The car has been at the dealerships three times the last 6 days.
Was driving the vehicle home one evening. Hit the acceleration pedal like normal, and i heard a loud 'pop' or 'thunk' under the hood. Thought it was really bad wheel hop or something. Right after that the cel came on, and the vehicle went into 'low power' mode. Was able to drive it back home slowly. Had it towed to dealer, said a hose to the turbo came off. Took a few days to fix. Picked it up from the dealer, got out of the parking lot. Made it maybe a few hundred feet, and the same exact thing happened. Drove it right back to dealer. They were able to quickly order part and fix it again within a day, this time replacing the clip and the hose. Driven the car pretty hard to make sure it will hold. It has so far and hopefully will continue to do so. This is obviously a serious issue with this particular model, as there are a ton of reports here about the exact same scenario.
The auto stop is a hazard. When pulling into traffic the car doesn't get to speed quick enough.
Car would start bucking, stuttering and jerking.this occurred three times.a/c compressor froze, had to be rebuilt.almost got rear ended twice.the dealer could find no problem on the last two times.this happened on city streets while in motion and from a stop.
On june 28 we were traveling from northern california to southern calif. When going up a steep incline, i heard a popping sound coming from the engine. Immediately, lost power, check engine light came on, with a message "reduced power". At the time, car was virtually brand new, with only 1335 miles we were in a fairly remote area, so i pulled off the interstate, and called for a tow to nearest chevrolet dealer (37 miles away). Dealer was already closed, it was 9 pm. Left car overnight at dealer, and contacted them next day.dealer service dept. Stated it was a "throttle body pipe that popped off, and it would take a few days foe fix, and replacement part. We were 400 miles away from home, dealer did arrange for rental car to go back home with. Repair took nearly 2 weeks.when notified that car was ready, i drove back down to valencia, calif. From sacramento area to bring car home. I went 2 blocks, and check engine light immediately appeared, returned to dealer, and the installed some sort of clamp, as a fix, and was told all is now ok.i proceeded home, going up the same incline 35 miles later, and same problem occurs, lost power, check engine light, with reduced power message.was towed back to same dealer again. Service manager explained this was a common problem in equinox model, that gm has no good answer for. Again, diagnosis was "intake pipe popping off throttle body". Again, it took 2 weeks to replace intake pipe and throttle body. After repairs, i'm still noticing that acceleration is somewhat choppy , and not smooth. I still am not happy, and intend to have my local dealer, address this problem, that i'm starting to see, is a widespread gm chevrolet problem.
Hose clip that goes to turbocharger has popped off twice now. I currently have 3400 miles on it. I bought brand new in april 2019. The first time it happened was when i was on street traffic and i accelerated and heard a loud clunk noise. At first, i thought i got rear-ended. They had my car at the dealer for three weeks due to the part being back ordered. Got back and within the first 100 miles of driving, the same problem happened again, but this time i was on the freeway, which could have ended badly. I was also told at the dealer that this is a common problem. The problem is though, that a serious accident can occur over a $25 dollar clip that is obviously an engineering flaw.
The duct from my turbo to the throttle body exploded while i was driving. Vehicle went to "reduced power mode". Speed was limited to 45 mph.this issue is according to the dealer a "known problem".someone is going to get killed by this problem.thank god i was on a local road not a freeway.the service dept. Has my car and said they didn't know when it could be fixed!i bought this lemon 2 weeks ago and it only has 340 miles on it.it is sitting at the dealership -- i don't have my new car.dangerous situation!also it has an idiotic auto stop feature that stops the engine at every stop sign.this cannot be turned off.when you remove your foot from the brake the engine starts and the car jumps forward.another horrible situation.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. While driving 55 mph, the contact heard a loud abnormal noise. The contact mentioned that the vehicle jerked violently and the power reduced and check engine indicators illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over and the contact noticed that the turbo hose was disconnected from the engine. The vehicle was taken to grieco chevrolet of fort lauderdale (1300 n federal hwy, fort lauderdale, fl 33304, (954) 607-4358) where the contact was informed that the faster needed to be replaced in the engine. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.
The engine "auto stop" feature can have enough delay to allow the accelerator to be pressed as the engine starts causing it to lurch forward rather than accelerate smoothly. With less than 250 miles i have experienced 2 incidents of almost hitting the car in front of me from a stop and 1 of almost being hit pulling into heavy traffic from a stop. I see many other similar complaints and hope this can be addressed before someone is hurt or worse due to it..
I was returning home from a trip in the mountains and heard a popping sound from underneath the vehicle and the vehicle suddenly acceleration.luckily i was near an exit off of the tollway within 3 miles of a chevy dealership. This could've been a really dangerous situation where is the rocky mountains.if this had happened during a steep graded incline, it could've been life-threatening.the vehicle was certainly would not have made it up the mountain and could have caused a rear end collision resulting in a deadly crash knocking the car over a guard rail.god forbid it would've been during the winter months with snow unless traction.the car only had 4500 miles on it. The dealer said they are aware of the problem and the repair part was on indefinite backoreder with gm. He cannot give me a date when the car would be repaired.
Bought the car with 3 miles on it. Has less than 80 miles on it now. It's in the shop parts are backordered to fix a turbo hose connector problem. We have owned this car less than 24 hours before returning to the dealer for repairs. The car was going roughly 35mph. When check engine light appeared and power alert came on onstar also sent an alert that the car had the check engine light and advised to take to the dealer within 24 hours.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated while driving 70 mph on adaptive cruise control, the brakes applied independently. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated he continued driving to his destination. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause for the failure. The contact stated he continued to experience the failure. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact stated that he continued to experience failure for over 2 years. The contact took the vehicle to a second local dealer, cantin chevrolet (623 union ave, laconia, nh 03246: (603) 524-0770) and made the dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
2019 chevrolet equinox. Consumer writes in regards to radio malfunction. *ldthe consumer stated the radio powers on automatically when starting the vehicle, after being powered off. The radio was replaced the failure persisted.
Am blinded by excessive brightness of backup camera display and cannot see right side mirror and cannot see pedestrians near right side of vehicle due to overly bright backup camera which has no dimming feature.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated that the headlights, the engine, and the electrical system failed to operate as designed. The contact stated that the low beam and high beam headlights were aimed incorrectly. The failure to illuminate the roadway properly caused a driving hazard while driving in low light conditions. The contact was also concerned that after starting the vehicle and walking away with the keyfob, the vehicle shut-off independently. The vhicle was taken to dyer chevrolet (4200 south us highway 1 fort pierce, florida, 34982, (772)-461-4800) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the headlights were not adjustable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle operated as designed. The failure mileage was 10,300.
The hid headlamps have poor output but at same time blind on coming drivers while driving this is a lt model drove the premier model they. Have a better head lamp
*dl
Have been stranded 4 times this summer. When car is parked it has locked in parking and will not shift out of park. Even though the parking brake is released, the car will not shift. After leaving it sitting several hours or overnight, it will start and shift again.
Unknown, but may be the fuel tank itself or the wiring is my guess. I fear whatever is wrong could be effecting the engine.on april 12, 2020 my car didn't fill all the way up with gas. There was a little bit left that needed filling. I was curious why & sent a picture to my mom. The car seemed to be working fine until july 2019. Upon filling it with gas, the pump kept shutting off on me. I took it into the auto repair shop twice (july & august) to have it fixed for the same issue so far & they still haven't been able to fix it. The problem got progressively worse, and after the first visit in july, my car would not fill with gas at all anymore during the second time filling it up. I had to borrow a rental from the auto shop while they tried to fix it for the second time. I eventually got my car back, and when i tried filling it up with gas on the same day i got my car back, it displayed the same issue. The pump kept shutting off on me. Now, my vehicle is doing a weird surging forward motion when i'm barely pressing on the gas.
Brakes failed causing vehicle to crash into fence when backing out of driveway.vehicle was put into drive & without putting foot on gas pedal, vehicle accelerated and crashed through garage - thru front door & out theback of the garage.filed complaint with central claims case (xxx)information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).*cw
The vehicle started leaking gas from the tank at the rear after sitting for 20 minutes. This problem has already been recalled on vehicles of this caliber and year, just the all wheel drive version. Not exactly sure how long this has been going on because i typically don't go behind the car. As for the passenger side, the warning light on the mirror stopped working at about 15,000 miles. Very possibly sooner.
Purchased car on 06/27/2019. On 6/22/2019 while driving i heard a pop in the engine compartment. The vehicle had 400 miles. I lost power while driving. I took to a chevrolet dealership. Diagnosis was a clip on the fuel injector had broken. New fuel injector line had to be replaced.
Not present at this time, smell of fuel coming through vents i reported more than once to dealer whom never able to find cause. To date, this happens at times when fan on, after starting vehicle, coming from vents.

Unable to disable auto stop engine function.winshield defroster uses ac compressor to aid defroatof windshield which needs engine running to operate. When stopped at a light windshield steamsup on the inside because of excess moisture in evaporator.
There is a fuel link that appears to be coming from where the fuel tankthe leak was found when i park the car and let it site for a few hours. A strong fuel smell and a wet spot on the pavement under the fuel tank. I have smelled the gasoline previously but didn't notic the leak until i had something to unload from my trunk.

I'll be driving very lightly and about 25mph when it wants to ship it surges. I still have the same pressure in the gas pedal. I seen it get stuck at down shifting a few times when going down a hill. It has lunged almost too one time. I brought it to the dealer they test drive it, had no codes was told it was normal. I been driving cvts for a decade now and i know this is not that soni sort of bought it. I think the transmission shouldn't do this.
Auto stop / start is going to get someone killed. Hesitation from brake to gas causes a whiplash effect to everyone in the vehicle.also, pulling out in traffic is a total crap shoot as to weather the vehicle is going to start, hesitate or go at all.
The contacts wife owned a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated while coming out of a standstill the contact heard a strange noise coming from the engine compartment and shortly afterwards the vehicle began to produce smoke and proceeded to catch on fire. The fire was extinguished by city police and a report was taken. The contact stated engine power reduced warning displayed was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to contacts residence where it was diagnosed with being destroyed. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with, nhtsa campaign number: 20v668000 (power train) however the vin was not included. The manufacturer was informed of failure and was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was approximately 16,199.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle was hesitant to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer who replaced the throttle body, but the failure continued to occur. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 14,000. The vin was not available.
We noticed a reddish liquid on our garage floor. As the car is under warranty, we took it to the dealer who said it was a leak at the drivers side axel seal; they kept the car for one day, said it was fixed, and called me to come pick up the car. The very next day i noticed leak was worse, and so i reported that to the dealer (see uploaded photo). The dealer told me that they would connect with "tech assist" (whatever that means) and get back to me.i'm concerned that if the leak gets even greater while on the road it could be a safety problem.
Car would start bucking, stuttering and jerking.this occurred three times.a/c compressor froze, had to be rebuilt.almost got rear ended twice.the dealer could find no problem on the last two times.this happened on city streets while in motion and from a stop.
Transmission shudders while driving at low rpm. Intermittent hard or rough shifting. This happens usually at speeds around 45 mph it has a shudder and slight surge. Another incident while stopped, foot on the brake the vehicle lunged forward.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. While stopped, the vehicle would intermittently stall upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle would restart soon after failure however, recently the vehicle was towed to a dealer after the vehicle failed to restart after multiple attempts. The dealer was unable to duplicate the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 31,000.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated that the front driver's side seat belt failed to latch securely in the buckle without warning. The vehicle was taken to bradley chevrolet (711 n lake havasu ave, lake havasu city, az 86403, (928) 855-0577), to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the door lock mechanism needed to be replaced however, the parts needed to repair the vehicle was on back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 23,000.
The 2019 equinox has a head rest that pushes your head forward and down making it difficult to see the road.
Have been stranded 4 times this summer. When car is parked it has locked in parking and will not shift out of park. Even though the parking brake is released, the car will not shift. After leaving it sitting several hours or overnight, it will start and shift again.
While driving along with the cruise control set at 70 mi/hr on a clear day with no other cars within 500 ft., except for one on the inside lane behind us, the brakes suddenly came on hard and only released after it slowed the car down to 60 mi/hr.the red led's did not come on and the driver's seat did not vibrate.the service advisor i spoke with said he drove a 2019 equinox to omaha and had the same thing happen.he thought i may have hit a bug that caused it, but the camera lens was clear.i was traveling straight on highway #63 south of rochester, mn. When it happened.
I was driving about 45 mph and i heard a noise. Engine said speed reduce. When i went to brake the car hard no power brake and was very difficult to stop. It can not be drive because i have no brakes
When rear e- brakes are wet they lock up and make a loud sound. This happens after a hard rain or if you go thru the car wash with the under carriage option and release the e-brake after parking.
Vehicle violently swerving while driving.have made multiple complaints to gm, has been serviced seven times for this same issue.gm refuses to repair or acknowledge problem.vehicle violently swerves out of lane into shoulder/ oncoming traffic.have to fight steering to get it back into lane.
Car steers itself.steering wheel jerks itself to left or right randomly while driving, usually enough to cause minor control of the steering of my equinox.this happens more often on highway and higher speed roads.when going around curves in the road / highway, vehicle will not straighten out when out of curve.this has caused me to drive off of the road into gravel shoulder and nearly sideswipe other vehicles both next to me and drive into oncoming traffic.no accidents have been caused as of yet, but many near misses.this issue has been going on since september.i made chevrolet aware of the issue through a repair attempt.it has been serviced three times for this issue and i have opened a case with the bbb.chevrolet has not fixed the problem, replaced the vehicle, or acknowledged the problem.i have made it clear through extensive conversations with the general motors business resource center that is dealing with my bbb casethat my life is in danger every time i drive this vehicle and they simply do not care.regardless of my three repair attempts for the same issue, nobody at gm cares about my safety.when i bring it up, i have been told 'don't drive it if you don't feel safe in it' as if i can simply walk to work, appointments, etc.general motors does not care about the safety and safety concerns of their customers.it has been 129 days since i initially brought up this safety issue and general motors is doing nothing about it. The vehicle is still in use daily, still having the same issue. Documentation of repair attempts and bbb paperwork available upon request.

Excessive vibration interior when rear windows are open and driving at a speed of 55mph.does not take off smoothly when stopped or slowed for traffic.i have been to dealership for air leaks in interior and no improvement was made.
The vehicle was parked overnight (stationary) in a driveway. In the morning, there was a large crack in the windshield. I was not a particularly cold night (florida). I do not know the fault that caused the crack. It could be faulty tempering, faulty installation, or something else. It is unlikely for a windshield to spontaneously crackin a modern car without a fault.
At seemingly random times the vehicle's cameras stop working. When this happens and the vehicle is in reverse gear, a blue screen with the message ' service rear vision system' appears. I have taken the vehicle back to the dealer, but the problem has not occurred while there. I consider this problem a safety hazard. None of the cameras function when this problem occurs. I do not know if it impacts other safety features on the vehicle. This problem occurs when the vehicle is stationary or moving slowly forwards or backwards.
In a 2019 equinox with driver packages i and ii installed, having a bike rack installed on the factory installed hitch, rear cross traffic and forward and rear assist safety options are disabled. Chevrolet service claims that the vehicle is not equiped with front park assist, even though it is included in driver package ii.the user manual does not explicityly state that these safety features are disabled if a bike rack is installed.it seems illogical that a bike rack would disable the sensors on the front and sides of the car.this is a major safety issue...to disable key safety features, just because there is a bike rack installed. Gm should be more explicit and warn its customers of this safety failure.
We believe that there is a serious issue with the hvac of this vehicle. My wife actually noticed it soon after buying the vehicle. I wasn't quite sure what it was. Anyway, on august 15, 2021 we drove to visit family and the strong odor of freon or something got so bad that my eyes were burning and began to cough. I took the vehicle to my local dealer and explained the problem. I left the vehicle and the service person called me to say that there was nothing wrong. They did a diagnostic of the vehicle and it came back fine. He mentioned that they is a "service bulletin" on 2019 chevrolet equinox that stated owners may complain of a strong chemical smell inside the vehicle. He stated that gm said that there is no fix for the problem. This is unacceptable since my wife has allergies and asthma. If this chemical smell is harmful, they should recall all the vehicles affected and correct the problem. It seemed to me that gm's attitude was "tough, live with it".there needs to be further investigation into this by our government and should force gm to correct this problem.i am waiting to hear more from the dealership regarding this problem today. I don't expect to hear anything different than what they told me yesterday, (august 17).
I found that this model car and other manufacturers with push to start and stop can be turned off in any gear and you can walk away from the car with out an alarm or any notification. I have seen cars roll when left on a slope. Key ignition cars don't let you remove the keys when the car is not in park.
Two weeks after i purchased the brand new car it started acting up making loud screeching noises, and turning off on its own. The dealership said their was nothing wrong with it. Toom it in 4 times and yet nothing was wrong with the car according to them it was me. Finally they had to tow the car because it turned off on me good thing i was barely leaving my home and it's now been 8 months and nothing has been done to fix the car it's just sitting at the dealership because they can't figure out why it turns off on it's own. They denied me a rental car because the car was deemed safe but yet the car has turned off on them but still it is safe. I don't know what to do or who to ask for help but neitjer gm nor chevrolet want to solve this. They say it's a buy back but yet no one is willing to give me any other information.
Excessive vibration in interior of vehicle when rear windows are down at speed of 55mph or more.also does not take off smoothly when stopped or slowed for traffic.
Cameras do not work part of time. Backup camera shows blue screen when not working and says service rear vision system. Forward cameras only show blue screen. By time vehicle is at dealer cameras are working and nothing shows a problem. Nothing specific makes the problem happen and nothing specific makes it go away. The problem is random, but significantly reduces situational awareness.
While driving my vehicle from work to home, the controls on my steering wheel for my stereo stopped working.the volume started going up and down and the channels started changing. I turned my radio off and back on and it immediately continued. I called onstar and asked them if they could determine if anyone was remotely controlling my radio and she told me that they had no way to determine that and i would have to contact my dealer. I disconnected my phone from my car, turned off the wifi and bluetooth settings on my phone and the vehicle and continued driving home. The volume changed a few more times and when i got home i shut my car off. I had to drive it again about 15 minutes later but nothing happened that time.i drove about 20 miles while dealing with the radio going crazy the whole time.

The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. While driving approximately 50 mph or higher with the adaptive cruise control engaged, the vehicle suddenly made a dinging noise and decelerated. The contact had to wait approximately two minutes before the vehicle returned to normal. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 11,345.
While traveling on interstate at adaptive cruise control set at 72 a chevrolet traverse passed on the left at avery high speed as it passed my drivers door our equinox immediatley applied the brakes and rapidly slowed to 55mph when the traverse had passed our equinox resumed 72 mph
Between june 22, 2020 and july 30, 2020 there were more than 20 telephone calls placed between general motors and i, regarding this vehicle and it's engine, transmission and non-verifiable issues.general motors and phillips chevrolet are refusing to acknowledge that the car is a lemon.there are currently a little over 8,500 miles on the car and i am in fear of my life each time i enter the car and i have made phillips chevrolet and general motors aware of this issue.this is my second nhtsa report.the initial nhtsa report is 302587, was filed on june 22, 2020. Phillips chevrolet and general motors are refusing to provide me with a safe vehicle to travel in despite 7 service visits with phillips chevrolet, and more than 20 telephone interactions with general motors. There a more reports but your system will only allow me five documents,
Traveling south on 81 in the far right lane, a triple lane highway.
The contact owns a 2019 chevrolet equinox. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The contact stated that while his wife was pulling into a parking space with her foot on the brake pedal, the vehicle accelerated without warning as a result, the driver crashed into a parked vehicle. The driver did not sustained injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to turnersville automall, 3400 nj-42, turnersville, nj 08012, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure an open a case. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

The contact leases a 2019 chevrolet equinox. While driving various speeds, the passenger and driver side windows and side view mirrors had a shadow and white lines that obstructed the view. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to open road chevrolet (2675 us-22, union, nj 07083, (908) 686-2800) where it was diagnosed that the air conditioningvents were chrome and were reflecting off the mirrors. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-5169987780. The manufacturer advised the contact to wrap the air conditioner vents in a non-reflective material. The contact stated that this was a design flaw and he should not be responsible for the repairs. The failure mileage was 2,800. *dt
The entire axle came off upon hitting acurve. The tire did not pop but the entire wheel came off. The insurance company is hunting for refurbished parts to put on the car.
We were told our tires are bad and need replacing. We have leased this car for 2 years with only 31,140 on the tires.this is our 4th equinox that we have leased and have never had to replace the tires before we returned our cars on our 3 year leases. We are very disappointed.
