The computer that holds the air bag system was replaced at 38,000 and the car is at 42,000 miles need to be replaced now .tt the replaced module also failed.the consumer says several vehicles of this make experience the same problem.

The reason for having to reconstruct the report is that the exhibits listed on page 4 of that report no longer exist in originals or copies we have been able to locate within the mva or our archives. That being the case, the mva investigator contacted ourisman rockmont chevrolet to obtain copies of what documentation still remained in its files.attached is a pdf file containing copies of those records provided by the dealership. That is all we have at this point. Alternator failed 4 times.

Generator failure causes vehicle to stop dead on the road.

Car caught on fire due to electrical system and burned the whole car up.

I have just learned that my car uses the same bose amplifiers that the 1991 q45 and 1991 acura legend have. They have both been recalled due to fire hazard identified by a popping or hissing noise, both of which occurred on 2 of my 4 amps so far. If these amps are manufactured by the same company, shouldn't the corvette amps be recalled also ?

Bose speakers overheat and fill passenger compartment with smoke. These amplifiers are identical to the accura amplifiers which were recalled by the manufacturer.

Driver side seat belt is unusable as it is locked in the retracted position.i was interested to note that a recall was issued concerning this problem.when i purchased the car used (3 yrs. Old) at a chevrolet dealership they made no mention of the recall nor had they corrected it.the other issue is related to the rear drivetrain.under heavy acceleration, the car has a tendency to have the back end slide sideways when the auto transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd.

Dealer states that due to age of vehicle, recall cannot be completed because of parts no longer available. Manufacturer recall number n910058 & n910059.

The dealer stated that gm will not supply the parts for the seat belt and are no longer making the seat belts for that year, make and model vehicle. The failure mileage was 107,000.updated 05/11/09.

When pulling the driver's side seat belt out to put it on, it pulls out about 12" and locks, making it impossible to put on. Even though there is an open recall on this seat belt problem, the chevrolet dealer was unable to get the parts to fix it - the parts are unavailable. This is a 1990 corvette.

The contact stated that the driver's side retractable seat belt became jammed and would not function, making the seat belt unusable and leaving the driver unsecured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat belt retractor was faulty. The contact was informed that the parts to repair the defect were no longer available. He called an authorized dealer and they advised him that they would look into the failure and call him back. He made several calls to the dealer and no one returned his call. Seat bellt locked up and failed to releas eprior to/after recall repairs 91v-143).

Seat belts on the driver's side lock up. Not able to use them due to the belts notreleasing.

While starting vehicle and without warning vehicle accelerated. Consumer applies brakes, brakes become inoperable, resultingin a head-on collision. Consumersustained minor injuries.

While driving the vehicle about 25 mph the right front brake caliper just fell off.the caliper just rubbed on wheel, and whenputting on brakes it grabbed.

The design of the location of the battery which is over the steel brake line leaked and corroded the brake line, causing an explosionand loss of the braking system, and almost an accident.

Abs: brake hose line punctured, brake pedal goes to floor, caused loss of vehicle control, near causing accident, abs locked up.

The contact owns a 1991 chevrolet corvette. While driving approximately 30 mph, the rear wheels seized and the contact lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle drove into a yard and crashed into a bush. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,900.still waiting gm for 3 months now i have call still they don't know. I saw on facebook that a1992 vette had the same problem with the rear end and they wrecked too my file number with gm is [xxx]phone number for the guy i have been talking to is [xxx] name is [xxx] i need answers i am sitting on $10,000.00 that i have invested to help me i am disable and need the money back. I was going to sell the vette for $18000.00 i need answers i will go on nation tv and tell what happened and let the people know that their vette can do the same the recall on seat belts has not been done yet too. The same rear end is the same as the one on the 1984 vetted that have been recalled the same part number but has year number changed in part number as all c4 vetted has same rear end.
