Tried to avoid hitting a deer at 60 mph and lost control of the vehicle and hit a rail head-on,and the driver's side airbag did not deploy.please describe details.
Going about 45mph, when driver lost visibility & control of vehicle when something enteredher eye. Vehicle hit guardrail (driver's side) & flipped over rail. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy. Vehicle continued down embankment. Windshield did not break, but cracked. Vehicle totaled.

Also the brake and brake pads have to be changed once a month because they wear out too quickly.the power locks stick in the cold weather and will not lock or unlock until it warms up. When i was in a crash the drivers airbag did not deploy causing me to hit my face on the steering wheel.
Abs warning light will activate, setting codes 14, 36, and 86.while abs light is on, speedometer will not be accurate - for example, will show 70 mph while going 30 mph, however, the computer will show the correct speed.speedometer will also exhibit inaccuracies when rolling up the power windows.have been to gm dealer for repair several times and they have been unable to find problem.

Went through 3 alternator in 8 months. Suspect electrical issues. As the parts store warranted i didn't pay for any of those, but the alternator kept burning out until they replaced using a much better model than standard.

Wire harness broke.
O.k. First problem i had was strong radiator smell. Replaced adiator due to crack, still had odor, then film on windshield, no heat,just cold air. Precepitation on inside windows, wet floorboard. Gushing leak from heater core. Replaced water pump & heater core. Still smelling very strong radiator fluid, gurgling sound at start up and turn off. Losing radiator fluid, but no leaks. Fluid comes from under cap (replaced 3 times already) at times and has overheated twice. Thermostat has also been replaced. Radiator smell is enough to choke you.

Gm refuses to ocover head gasket repair for more than 12k miles on corsica, even though cavalier with same engine is covered in recall for 7 years or 100000 miles, headgasket had to be done 2x, gm failed to change oil and filter and failed to mill head as required on head gasket repair, gm refuses to fix leaking windshield and torn carpet, gm refuses to fix loose caliper bolt problem, gm refuses to fix seat belt problem

Was pulling out of garage & noticed fluid onground. Lifted hood & noticed green fluid was leaking from front on left side andrunning downengine. Took vehicle to dealer, and was informed by mechanic that head gaskets were gone. Head gaskets were replaced 3/15/99, but warranty ran out. Mechanic indicated not fixing the gaskets.
Was driving daughter to school about 8 a.m friday(4/14/00), when a loud boom noise followed by thick black smoke occurred.car lost power and we coasted to the side of the highway.i immediately got my daughter out of the car and cleared away from the vehicle.i could see sparks and a trai8l of oil where i had exited the highway.while walking my daughter to school, i phoned chevrolet customer roadside assistance and gave them the information on where the car was.i was told by the towing service and the service writer at the dealership that the engine needed to be replaced.yet my gm extended warranty refused to replace it.they instead decided to rebuild the engine.when tested the rebuilt engine had no oil pressure.another week passed and then under threat, of my filing a law suit, gm replaced the engine.i didn't get my car back until may 15,00. One month after both my dealer and tow truck driver submitted in writing that the engine without doubt had to be replaced.though i had a full warranty and complete car rental for 15 days, i had to shell out over 300.00 dollars because gm decided arbitrarily to cut there losses by denying me extra days of rental which my extended warranty covers if the repairs are longer than the prescribed coverage time due to no fault of the owner of the vehicle.their attempt to save money after wasting thousands of dollars on an unrecommended, unsuccessful rebuild of my old engine cost me time, money, and loss of work.and to make it even worse the loud growling and rattling noises from my transmission were not fixed.now that i am out of warranty, i can only voice my distaste for how gm willingly troused over me and my rights.i've noticed several descriptions on the service bulletin pages that directly describe the engine (scorched crank and scarred cam and valves) and transmission (growling and grinding noise) that i have experienced.
I've owned my corsica for a few months and only put 4000 miles on it when the head gasket blew, and the dealer refuses to work out any compromise for repairs.
My car was made in 95 i bought it in 96. In august of 01 the car engine was all messed up. One day it stopped running while driving down the interstate. The body shop said a list of things were wrong. I have just finished paying for it in feb. 2003. But have not been driving it since aug. 2001. Cant afford to fix it.
Engine still misses even after 3 tune ups. The missing used to occur at 55 mph or above.

Exhaust manifold failed.

The blinker assembly inside the steering column (that turns the blinkers on/off) broke off while engaged.you cannot dim/engage your highbeams when making a right turn because the switch (the bliker arm) hits the steering wheel.
When driving the vehicle at night can't cut the high beams on or off, the switch just clicks.

When accelerating and braking the driver's seat slides back and forward. The dealer has notified the owner that the seat and the tracks have rusted.
Consumer was involved in an accident where the seat came off the bolts and turned sideways.

Brake pedal went to floor at 3 mph with rough grinding sound. Pumped brakes twice and brakes were normal. The brakes pads, rotors, rear brakes are ok. No abs failure or hydraulic failure lights on during failure. The rought grinding sound has occured before at low speed, but brakes were normal. Many similar compaints on your website. It's time to act. Is this another firestone tire?

When the engine is turned off, the doors all unlock automatically.not only is this a major threat to our safety, this is the third occasion on which my child's finger has been badly pinched as she was trying to unlock the door at the very same moment when they automatically unlocked themselves.i hope this has stopped - very bad idea!!!

Regarding firestone tires p195/70r14 dot: 25301791204.while driving at approximately 65 mph left front tire on 1995, chevrolet, corsica suffered tread separation with approximately 30,000 miles on it.

I had washed my 1995 chevrolet corsica on may 18th 2000 and had clumps of paint comingof the car.when i took it back to the dealers.they had said they will not paint itfor free.i would have to pay for the service.i do not thinki should because it is a factor defect.i had a friend look at it and he said that the factor person did not sand it down before painting it.i would like to find out about any recalls on this particular car if i may, please. Gushing leak from heater core. Replaced water pump & heater core. Still smelling very strong radiator fluid, gurgling sound at start up and turn off. Losing radiator fluid, but no leaks. Fluid comes from under cap (replaced 3 times already) at times and has overheated twice. Thermostat has also been replaced. Radiator smell is enough to choke you.
I believe that other parts of the vehicle are reliant upon the paint sticking to the body of the car and may allow items to fall off. No safety defect listed in summary.
Shifted from drive to park, got out of vehicle, left engine running, noticed vehicle moving forward low speed, 2nd time, accelerted about 15 mph, engine kept accelerating, lurched forward with brakes applied, dealer will replace module.
Consumer state was driving on the road when the accelarator went down on the floor by it self with out the consumer been able to brake causing a accident.nlm

While stopped at a traffic light with foot on brake and transmission in overdrive, engine rpm increased, causing car to lurch forward.
Washed car and engine compartment on saturday dec 5, 1999; drove car home and it remained parked until evening of dec 6, 1999. Statred the car, drove down the street, turned on the heater (knob was on defrost) and the front windshield was immediately covered with steam. Caused immediate driver impairment and collision resulted. I would like to know how this happened. Please reply as soon as possible.(d.evertsen 970-568-3381)

O.k. First problem i had was strong radiator smell. Replaced adiator due to crack, still had odor, then film on windshield, no heat,just cold air. Precepitation on inside windows, wet floorboard. Gm refuses to ocover head gasket repair for more than 12k miles on corsica, even though cavalier with same engine is covered in recall for 7 years or 100000 miles, headgasket had to be done 2x, gm failed to change oil and filter and failed to mill head as required on head gasket repair, gm refuses to fix leaking windshield and torn carpet, gm refuses to fix loose caliper bolt problem, gm refuses to fix seat belt problem
Several technical bulletins exist regarding my complaints
Steering wheel made popping noises while turning left/right. Windshield wipers make noise. Had transmission changed. Had problems with rear axle and needed replacing.
