I was driving slowly around 3 mph on a national forest service road when suddenly the side curtain airbags went off and seatbelts locked. The truck was in 4wd low and off road mode was active. There was no reason for these airbags to have gone off.

I was driving on sand and the side curtain airbags deployed without cause, along with the seat belt pretensioners.

Chevrolet montebello delearship in california refused to do any work on our 2018 chevrolet colorado. We received a letter about a recall on the airbags of the truck and we took the truck in due to some issues on the truck and the recall. Because they felt the vehicle was tampered with they denied to do any work on the truck even the recall of the airbags!!!!! the service technician we were working with said they were not going to deal with us anymore bc i made a complaint to gm and i would need to deal with them directly they refused to provide me any documentation even after their service manager said they would. This is not acceptable for them to refuse to fix such a major safety concern and to be honest they are being neglectful and should be held accountable for being so unethical.

Loose rattling sheet metal or other parts in drivers door pillar near sidewall airbag area. May cause serious injury if it inadvertently deploys airbag, or restricts airbag deployment in an accident. Gm has been notified of this defective problem on all colorado and canyon models since 2016 with no actions. Other dealers have used expanding foam to attempt to secureloose parts to prevent the noise. This may hinder airbag deployment if not addressed.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. While driving various low speeds at night, the back up camera monitor became too bright for the contact to see properly while reversing the vehicle. In addition, at night, the back up camera illuminated the cabin of the vehicle and the contact could not see the road. Hiday motors in bluffton, indiana was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1.

Duel drink (coffee) cup holders next to shifter leak from any drip or spill.it is not designed to contain any small or insignificant spill or drip. Any liquid leaks down directly upon sensitive exposed electrical dip switches needed to shift the truck.this includes the rubber reservoir (does not hold water and directs liquids through knobbies to underside)and the hard plastic container (hard plastic compartment has drainage holes that lead directly to top of electrical switches) is designed like a strainer.replacing electrical switches cost me $632. I cannot use the beverage holders as i inferred that they were designed to use,to not only hold my beverage in place but contain it from leaking above any sensitive exposed electrical switches.i understand the same design is in the chevy equinox this year. Good luck.

Started the truck on a cold morning, cooling fan kicked in on high within seconds of start. Temperature gauge on dash noted to be inoperative at that time. Hoses from radiator became warm as normal, heat delivery to cab also normal. Drove for a few miles without change in fan speed. Engine turned off, fan speed remained high for several minutes.same pattern occurred intermittently, with normal function otherwise, including normal function of dash temperature gauge. Codes read at repair shop during one episode showed problem with thermostat. Thermostat/housing replaced on 2/15/21. Truck driven several times without problem, but several days later, problem occurred again, fan on high, temp gauge inoperative. Has been intermittent since, with normal function in between identical malfunction episodes.

Brand new 2018 midnight edition chevy colorado less than 24hrs on the engine and had less than 900 miles on it. Went to go to work one morning and it wouldn't do anything. No revere. No power steering. All lights and gauges were flickering and going crazy. Engine was chugging and making odd noises.it would not move from my garage/driveway. Had it towed it to nearest dealership. Over 2 weeks of diagnostics it's either a steering module or a wiring harness part. Dealership tells us its faulty wiring/steering module. It is an intermittent issue and it's hard to diagnose. I really feel that this could cause many safety issues since power steering was completely out and it wanted to shut off on us. This could have been bad if it happened while we were driving it to work. The dealership we purchased it from had done some electrical work but did not disclose what was done until it quit working and was brought to a different dealership. They brought it to our attention when it was towed in. The wiring that was done before purchase is what's causing all issues electronically. Truck is currently in the shop waiting for a part that is on backorder. Waiting for paperwork after repairs are completed. If they can be completed. They're still trying to fully understand the electrical issues since it is so random. It has been in their shop for over 2 weeks now. I just want someone to be aware of these issues incase it needs to be recalled. This could be a scary issue if it happens while driving.

It trys to constantly shif gears and when it does finnally shiftsit starts to shutter bad have to pull off the road and shut it off sometimes it will stop it and sometimes it doesn'tit very annoying and can't be safe or good i know that this specific transmission has a recall but for some reason my truck didn't i haven't even made my first car payment i noticed it the very first day i took it home the service porter said i had it in for wheel drive when it wasn't than blamed it on the tires .the dash lights go out .the radio changes stations werth out me even touching the steering wheel

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. The contact stated that the dimmer switch did not activate when the vehicle was in motion. The contact stated that the interior lighting was bright and impaired his vision while driving at night. In the daytime, the lights on the instrument panel were too dim and prevented the contact from seeing the instrument panel display. The vehicle was taken to bruce chevrolet (1084 sw oak st, hillsboro, or 97123, (503) 388-4240) where it was diagnosed that the dimmer lights failed due to a short in the computer system. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50.

The display for the backup camera is on at full brightness. There is a control knob to dim the interior lighting and display, but when the vehicle is put into reverse, the display goes to full brightness and cannot be controlled by the brightness control knob. At night, the passenger side mirror is not useable since the backup display is so bright. This almost resulted in accidents when backing up into a parking spot.

I just left work, my truck was parked for 8, hrs.after 3, minutes of driving the service stability track light came on. After a couple mins. I turned down a major highway and then the following warning lights came on: check engine, low fuel ( it was half full), traction control, drive with caution, strearing assist off.the electrical panel went crazy and i lost power to the engine.i pulled overand called chevy roadside assist. They towed the truck to cox chevrolet, where i purchased the vehicle brand new only a year ago.they could not duplicate the issue and i had to drive it back home.this is clearly a malfunction.i do not feel safe driving the it.

Truck shakes at speeds above 55 mph.at 65 mph my phone will fly off the magnet mount on the windshield; water and ice shake as if boiling at 70 mph and above.sometimes the vehicle feels like it is coming apart it shakes so hard.when the vehicle was two months old it stopped on a city street in arlington va and was undriveable.after a timeout period of 10-15 minutes it was driveable but at 10 mph it whined as if the transmission or engine was going to blow up.at 20-25 mph it was a screaming demon and had to be towed to the dealership (browns) who found no record in car computer system of fault.battery or electrical system was completely dead on 7 june 2019 with about 10,200 miles.dealership knew i had appointment and i asked for tow but they don't provide a tow from reed-lallier.onstar was of little help so i called my usaa insurance roadside assistance to get truck jump started; i missed appointment and they canceled appointment that morning which was to check for shaking and also 2nd oil change.gmcustomercare took my concerns and asked my resolution which was check battery for bad cell, be aware of first transmission problem in arlington va and the current problem of vehicle shaking.i am a retired paratrooper with verifiable severe nerve damage to my back and lower legs and this vehicle causes serious physical and neurological problems when driving highway speeds.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. While driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle lost power, downshifted, decelerated to 20 mph, and the brake lights went out. The contact pulled into a ditch to avoid a semi truck behind his vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. Ignition key can't be removed and will not rotate all the way to the off position. Have to leave key in the ignition and the door unlocked. It does not do this all the time, but enough to know gm has a design problem and should figure out a solution and issue a recall. When i go on line i find that this seems to be a common problem with a lot of colorado owners.

We were driving on a city street and we started to smellburned plastic, we pulled over and the seat where my 3 month old baby in her car seat started to smoke, i immediately took the car seat out and flames started to come out from behind the seat, police and fire department came and extinguished the fire, fire department told me it's a electrical related fire.they are no seat warmers on the rear seats.

This started about 3 months after i got the truck and has been doing it since. On three separate occasions, truck engine shut off after stopping then turning right on city and neighborhood streets. First time i pulled out on a road where the speed limit is 55 so i was lucky no one was behind me when the engine cut out. On the fourth occasion, truck shut off after backing up from parking spot and pushing on gas to go forward. No check engine lights, no noises or vibrations to tell me truck is going to shut off. I have to look at dash to see if it has gone black. Radio still works, and i'm able to steer off to side off the road because it's still in motion from after the turn. I can put gear in park position, turn key to off, then start the truck like normal. Have gone to mechanic and dealership and they can't get it to duplicate. Chevrolet has been notified but has said they cannot help if dealership can't find the problem. Steering wheel also starting to get stuck in turn position when turning right. Right after the turn it feels like it catches in something and i have to force the wheel back to center. Starting to happen almost daily, but not for dealership. I feel driving the truck is a safety hazard for not only me but others on the road.

On multiple occasion the dash controls will freeze buttons will not work and touch screen will not work i took it in to the dealer and they told me that nothing is wrong with the vehicle. But every now and again it will freeze up the only way to get the control to work again is to pull over and turn the vehicle off and on.

El vehćculo en muchas ocasiones no quiere encender el tablero, se vuelve loco como si quisiera apagar ah blim, queda mucho ah, las luces del tablero y la radio se encienden y apagan

Happened 3 time now. Each time i was driving slowly, idling along, in parking lot.each time i was in gear (drive) moving at idling speed e.g. Parking lot crawl. All electrical shuts off just like i had turned the key off. All lights off, ac off, radio off, engine off, everything off. No warning lights, nothing - just turns off. Vehicle restarts fine with no immediate recurrence. For some reason it simple turns itself off.it's going to be bad if this happens when pulling out into traffic.

About a year ago, i started getting a slight shudder in my transmission so i took it to the dealer for repair. They couldn't get it to shudder. Several times i'll be driving down the road at or around 45mph and the truck will start shuddering so bad i feel like i have to pull off the road.every time i take it to the dealer for repair i end up losing my truck for a day and they tell me they can find anything wrong even though this is a known issue and there is a tsb out to fix the issue.

A faulty engine block heater caused the engine compartment to catch fire while the truck was parked, turned off and the factory installed engine block heater was plugged in.

Key cannot be removed from ignition.i bought my truck 6 months ago and itā€™s been in the shop 3 times bc i canā€™t remove my key.last time it left me stranded at my veterinary clinic at 1 am after dealing with an emergency because the battery died.it appears as though i am not the only one having this issue

The torquer converter its the problem i find out a day on highway i was driving and the truck lose power it takes time to move to other gear and make a weird sound i take the truck to the chevy dealer and they just flush the transmission fluid and they said will fix the problem but after that get it worse it claps when put it in reverse or drive it use to shakes when you driving even at not high speed. The problem is not solve and the guy from the dealer told me gmc will not let them change the part is his own words. He said you have a good warranty don't worry but i need solution and the dealer doesn't show any interest to fix my truck problem, i have to rent a car apparently was cover for my insurance but a week later they call me because they have a issue with the car i rent and just rented for 24 hours. Is why i'm doing this complaint to find someone can help me and finally my truck get fix.

While driving home, yellow check engine light came on & i noticed reduction of oil pressure.parked in driveway, shut off engine, went inside.upon returning, noticed significant amount of oil on driveway.dipstick showed no oil.towed to dealership.they verified leaking came from defective oil cooler line hose.waited several days for replacement part.this is a new 2018 colorado z71 with only 5k miles on engine.and, this is a systemic problem that gm has known about since 2015 and impacts both colorado and canyon models (there are several complaints on web).this is a dangerous problem and should be investigated before someone gets hurt.it was not a slow leak.obviously, it is manufacturing problem.additional information (invoice and pictures) available upon request.

I have a 2018 chevrolet colorado lt 4wd crew cab.multiple times on a cold start the engine is misfiring.the check engine like comes on, the vsa, and t/c lights all come on and a notification on the dash saying stabilitrak is disabled.the vehicle shakes terribly.the check engine light will flash and then go solid.i am an automotive technician.i know that a misfire should set a hard dtc.when the vehicle is turned off and started several hours later there is no check engine light or any other light on.the dealership in marysville, oh had my truck for 3 days and told me they cleaned a bunch of terminals at several connectors.whatever that is supposed to do.they said they started the vehicle several times after and everything was good.the next day after i picked the truck up, it did the same exact thing!extremely frustrating!i know a continuous misfire let's unburned fuel into the catalytic converter which leads to premature breakdown of the catalyst.so my question is what is being done about these issues? another issue is with the transmission.on a cold start there is a clunk noise.then when you are driving at cruising speed and you let off the throttle and depress throttle again there is a shudder.also, when you come to a complete stop the vehicle tries to jolt forward.this is extremely concerning especially on a vehicle with roughly 18,000 miles on it.this needs to be addressed promptly!!

Takata recallshear water rush with a gurglenoise from dashboard this happens when taking off from a stop. Also when the vehicle is in drive with the foot on the brakes it makes loud noise then jumps. Also paint on hood has fisheyes the truck also idols high when starting up.

Vibration and shuttering at 40-80 mph coming from engine.

My colorado has completely shut down/powered off when making a right hand turn. Twice now. I'll be coming to a complete stop, accelerating through the turn and then all of the sudden, without warning, the truck loses all power. No flashing dash, nothing. I have to coast to the shoulder of the road, turn on the hazards, put in park, and restart the vehicle. This has happened twice now. From some online forums i've read, the problem only seems to get worse and has happened to others around 30-40 mph. My car is still under manufacturing warranty for another 500 or so miles. I took my truck into a certified chevy repair shop and after a week of troubleshooting and trying to recreate the problem, they have found "nothing" wrong with the car.if this doesn't get fixed and continues to occur, it's only a matter of time before an accident happens.

I have a 2018 chevrolet colorado 3.6l.i have had a rattle noise on cold start that would happen every so often.now that i'm 1k miles out of powertrain warranty this rattle noise happens just about every time i start my truck.it is caused by the variable timing actuator on the camshaft.i am an automotive technician, and i'm very familiar with variable timing actuators.the problem is the lock pin in the actuator does not function properly when you turn the vehicle off causing it to drain all the oil out of it.this causes the actuator to rattle around until it get oil pressure.this will eventually causing issues with your timing chain and other components internally in the engine.very disturbing that gm keeps making vehicles that work fine, usually, until they have gotten out of warranty.let me also state that i regularly change my oil with the recommended oil and well before it's due.not very happy!

This started about 3 months after i got the truck and has been doing it since. On three separate occasions, truck engine shut off after stopping then turning right on city and neighborhood streets. Upon accelerating the vehicle onto a 3 lane road, all warning lights came on in the vehicle.a warning message presented on the dashboard stating "engine power reduction" and then the vehicle shut down completely while moving.the engine shut off and the vehicle would not disengage from park. Vehicle had to be towed from the location.at the dealership, the dealer informed me the engine throttle body and intake tube duct hose should be replaced.he also informed me gm is aware of this issue with the vehicle and has not developed a permanent fix for the issue.

Purchased new chevy colorado 4x4 extended cabwith 3.6-liter v6, transmission 8-speed model 8l45.transmission developed shudder during light throttle acceleration between 30 and 70 mph.shudder is cyclic lasting 4 - 12 seconds, reaccurring 45 - 90 seconds.shudder feels similiar to driving over mild rumble strips or rough pavement.first notice transmission problem around 1200 mile mark, total mileage on vehice as of april 11, 2019 is 2750 miles.more information can be found with ge service information (si) as a techinical service bulletin (tsb).refer to these gm tsb's16-na-175, 18-na-177, and 18-na-355.

During some starts (in morning after not driving for several hours), the engine will have a pulsing idle ~750-1000 rpm. After letting it sit for a minute to warm up, i drive down the road. If i am able to drive without stopping, there will be no issues. However, if i come to a stop within 0.5 miles or so, the engine will shut off. When i try and restart, the engine will stall repeatedly. The engine will eventually restart. There have been no codes produced nor any lights on the dash board. Has happened several times.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. The contact stated that the hood bounced up and down while driving at various speeds without warning. The contact initially took the vehicle to jeff gordon chevrolet (228 s college rd, wilmington, nc 28403) where they adjusted the hood latch but the failure persisted. The contact then took the vehicle to ocean city chevrolet (2366 ocean hwy w, shallotte, nc 28459) where they were unable to duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was then notified of the failure and a case was filed. She was then informed that she would be called back for an update. Since the initial conversation, the contact had not heard back from the manufacturer and had been unable in reaching the manufacturer. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 3,901.*as

My 2018 chevrolet zr2 started to hard shift between first and second gear. It also sounds like it is running over rumble strips when driving between 50-75mph. When i researched this issue, i found thousands of issues online that matched this problem 100 percent. It is called the chevy shake or the gmc shutter. Mind you, the dealership verified that they have been sent kits from gm to correct these issues. It's called the tcc shudder.

My vehicle shakes and shutters when accelerating. I have brought it to chevrolet of wesley chapel fl 3 times for the same problem. The proceeded to do a "flush" and have replaced the torque converter.

The transmission in my truck shakes, shimmies, vibrates, shutters when driving and shakes, shimmies vibrates even at idle. I took the truck to the dealership and they removed all of the transmission fluid and replaced with new fluid as per chevrolet corporate mandate. The truck remains in shaking, shimmies, shutters and vibrating.

2018 colorado develops a shutter when moving up an incline from speeds of 45 to 60 mph on highways.truck has 33,000 miles 10,000 miles i placed on the truck the remainder was while the truck was part of a fleet.just noticed this shutter at 32,000 miles.though it was tires , but turned out not to be the issue.

Transmission has a shutter in it.it feels like you are driving on the road edge warnings

When coming to stop from any speed the truck downshift hard that it feels like you've been hit from behind.also when using remote start and you put the key in the ignition and turn it on the transmission does a little jump like the truck is going into gear.we have taken it in for repairs 3 times and the last time we were told the issue could not be fix and that it was normal.

The truck's drivetrain/transmission constantly shakes, shutters while driving. It happens periodically throughout the rpm ranges.

When turning the key into the ignition position the vehicle will give a random downshift unless the brake pedal is pressed down. Also experiencing a rough downshift between 2nd and 1st gear when stopping as smoothly as possible. Vehicle as been in and out the dealership with the problem still existing.

When i drive up hill the vehicle starts to jerk back and forth and has lost of power.

The contact called ressler motors at (866) 623-5535 (located at 8474 huffine ln, bozeman, mt 59718) and was informed to bring the vehicle to the shop. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and needed to be towed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 19,214.

Upon acceleration the truck felt as if we were riding over rumble strips. No lights/warnings. Although this was ongoing whenever driving, the truck continued to operate normally otherwise. Searching the internet noted a problem with this year/make/model with the transmission - one search result suggested submitting the information here.the dealer flushed the fluid today and told us it might take up to 200 miles for the shudder/rumble to stop.

When driving over 40mph there is a very pronounced shuttering/vibration that occurs.assume it's caused by the transmission based on many complaints i've read on the internet.

My colorado has completely shut down/powered off when making a right hand turn. Twice now. I'll be coming to a complete stop, accelerating through the turn and then all of the sudden, without warning, the truck loses all power. No flashing dash, nothing. While driving on city street and highway, transmission shifting at speeds of 25mph,45mph,55mph start vibrating also coming to a stop feel like a rear end bump.

Vehicle was driven at approximately 20mph and uppon deceleration there was a loud bang and all four tires locked up and having no control over movement of the truck. No error codes found and dealership states it was a faulty transfer case. Vehicle has been in shop almost a month will no resolution.

Transmission has horrible shifting.hard shifting at low speeds and when decelerating (feels like i was rear ended).torque converter was replaced.from low speed, it doesn't downshift to accelerate unless the pedal is floored.also, there is hesitation/pedal lag from a standstill, which makes it unpredictable when trying to pull into traffic.that part is a real safety convern.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle began to shake forcefully. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to hertrich chevrolet cadillac of salisbury (located at 2531 n salisbury blvd, salisbury, md 21801, (410) 713-4640) and was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,500.

Ignition switch fully won't turn to off position. Engine does turn off, but key can't be removed. Happens frequently and so far, starting it, putting it into drive or reverse and move a bit, then back into park will work. At some that might not work and i'd have to leave the key in the ignition and leave the truck unattended. I could still lock it, but if some kids see it or break into it, they could drive it away.chevy knows about this. There is a service bulletin #pi1429b.

Chevy colorado a bad vibration in drivetrain.tooktruck to dealer who said it was torque converter problem. It has been at dealer for 9 days because they are doing 9 vehicles a day for this problem. Supposedly they are going to change torque convertor, others they just change the oil in torque convertor. This is done approxmately 9 times a week at this one dealer, ross downing in hammond, la. This is the 8sp trans. That is used in several gmrear drive cars and trucks. My truck only has 6300 miles on it. When trying to pass vehicles on interstate it vibrates so bad over 70 mph i am afraid to wreck. Others i have talked to at dealership claim there vehicle vibrates at lower speeds, surges and making noise. This dealership doing 9 a week, that probably is several thousand a week statewide. This is a terrible problem that needs fixin. Many thanks.

Some time it feels as if you are riding on the rumble strips on shoulder of the roadand some times it shifts pretty hard the rumble can happen at anytime

The transmission has a very hard down shift when coming to a stop. Almost feels like you've been hit from behind. The faster you were going before stopping the harder it downshifts. When taking vehicle in we were told there is no fix for this.also when using remote start once you put the key in the transmission jumps. We were told not to bring the truck back for this issue.

When the truck is put in auto 4wd mode while parked, instead of the 4wd engaging as necessary, it engages immediately upon motion. This makes the auto 4wd option obsolete.this was first noticed when i used 4wd auto mode for the first time in october 2018. I've notified the dealer but they don't seem to think anything is wrong or not functioning properly.

Chevrolet colorado shaking and shuttering violently while drving. Extremely dangerous. Chevrolet is not listening to all the complaints. Are they waiting on a dangerous deadly accident before they acknowledge and recall the vehicle and repair this dangerous situation!

Shutters and shakes for long periods while driving.growls and makes a low rumbling while shaking the entire truck.during this vibration which happens all the time its hard to hear the person talking next to you or the radio if its on low.took to dealer and they said they all do that; it's common with these; nothing to do.

I am writing to inform you of a safety issue with my 2018 chevrolet colorado. When putting the vehicle in park the ignition key will not release. Chevrolet doc# 4811390 documents a fleet wide problem with the colorado. There has been no re-call issued by chevrolet to correct this safety issue.i got my colorado repaired at a cost of $642.15. I looked at the shifter that was removed from the truck, and found that the micro switch that activates when the vehicle is placed in park had a broken mounting post causing it to be misaligned. I have included pictures of the switch and mounting post.

2018 chevy colorado zr2, 21000 miles. Engine shut down while driving in motionon road. Restarted twice and shutdown again twice. Check end engine light came on and traction control said it was disabled. Started third time and put in drive. Wouldn't put power from engine to drive train. 4th start, put in drive and limped back home. Was towed to closest dealer and they cleared error codes with diagnosing. I scanned codes before being towed and error codes were u0700 and u0100.after 3 days of no comms from 1st dealer had 2nd dealer pick up via tow truck. They said 1st dealer cleared codes and could not duplicate. Picked up truck and ran fine for a week, then had same issue on busy road. Had to restart, engine light came on and limped back home. Scanned codes and received same u0700, u0100. Dealer is having tow truck pick up truck to diagnose and repair. This is a serious issue causing truck to shut off while driving and not knowing if it will restart and have power to drivetrain.

Transmission shuddering. - identified variable speed occurrence could happen at 25 or 65. Unrelated to tires/steering or to shock cavitation or rough roads. Happens on smooth or rough roads. Vehicle has not been off-road. Varied inconsistency. More apparent when engine is cold shifting from 1st to 2nd to 3rd then will dissipate. Shifts hard 1st to 2nd and sometimes 3rd when engine is cold. Once warm shifting is smoother but shuddering still occurs.

Hard/rough shifting up in gears and same down shifting in gears. Shaking/jerking/shuddering at speeds apx. 20-70 mph. Transmission can down shift so hard, at times, it feels like someone hit your from behind. Wants to stall/slip shifting up in gears.seems to have too much free play in driveline while sitting still shifting from drive to reverse. Makes a clunk sound.

I had truck stationary parked on a slight incline on a dirt road for about 5 minutes when i heard a odd sound like "arrrrr clunk" and my car rolled down a hill. I had my car on park while on 4low with the engine off. I did not have my parking brake on though but the incline was so slight i feel i did not need it. My truck was not loaded with any extra weight or anything to cause it to roll down the hill. I truly believe i am not at fault for this happening it is a brand new car how could this happen? prior to this i was not doing anything extreme to damage my car in any way. Something must have failed on my truck.

Hard shifting when you accelerate in the first two gear and hard downshifting when stopping.

Transmission exhibits intermittent hesitation, jerking and shaking when taking off from a stop and reverse lurching while at highway speeds. The transmission fluid has been changed per the bulletin without success. The truck has been to the dealership 4 times where they typically report "unable to duplicate problem" and therefore do nothing. The latest comment from gm customer care was to blame all these issues on my tires (36000 miles). Loss of power equals a tire issue?

The truck vibrates , stutters some times when driving. Went to dealer he said it has been happening in trucks. He said thicker trans oil should fix it. Is this just a band aid for a bigger problem. Would like your view. Thanks.

It has an intermittent shudder at no particular speed and a kind of tugging at slow acceleration speeds, like a quick upshift and then down again.

Noticed a "shuddering" in the transmission during light acceleration between 40-60mph around 1500rpm.whole truck vibrates like you are driving over rumble strips. Only 4150 miles on the truck!

The contact stated while driving approximately 45-65 mph, the vehicle would shudder. The dealer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the nhtsa to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. While approaching a stop, the vehicle downshifted without warning. The failure occurred intermittently. Bob hook chevrolet (4144 bardstown rd, louisville, ky 40218, (844) 212-4818) diagnosed and repaired the torque converter and changed the fluid, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. While driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle vibrated without warning. The vehicle was taken to bell chevrolet inc (304-652-3541, located at 600 chelsea st, sistersville, wv 26175) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be flushed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 25,000.

My driver seatbelt fails to lock, it has been happening for a few months, but has gotten drastically worse. I have an appointment with a dealership, but the first available appointment is thursday november 7th 2019. I am in a group on facebook for this vehicle and others are experiencing the same issue.

The bottom seat cover retaining clip keeps coming loose on both the driver side seat and the passenger side seat, and can start to tear the seat cover. This appears to happen when entering or leaving the vehicle.it can be clipped back, but quickly comes loose again.i have returned it to the dealer for repair; they put the clip back in place, but it quickly came loose again.i have put it back on and it continues to come loose.

Ignition tumbler and steering wheel locked. Could not turn key, could not turn wheel. Truck was is park on flat driveway. Tried all basic instructions (three adults)and then called mobile mechanic. He could not get it to turn either and could not remove steering wheel cover to access ignition tumbler to replace. Truck is three years old. Had to have it towed to dealership.

While driving, specifically when making turns at various speeds, the steering wheel would get jammed up and be almost impossible to turn back to complete a turn/get straightened out. Happens on both left and right turns. First happened about 2 weeks ago, just one time while exiting my driveway. I turned the engine off and back on and it seemed to go away. It is now very clear that it is mechanical in nature, somewhere close to the steering wheel in the console. I have an appointment next week with the dealership, i will update with the findings.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. While driving various speeds, the steering wheel seized and the steering assist warning indicator illuminated. The contact had to use extra strength to operate the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred periodically. The vehicle was towed to vic koenig chevrolet (1040 e main st, carbondale, il 62901, (618) 529-1000) where it was diagnosed that there was a loose bolt in the electric power steering system. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,242.

Steering wheel constantly shakes and veers on roadway dealer changed torque converter but issue still. Happens while driving anywhere from 35 mph to 70 mph city street or highway does not make a difference feels like steering control could be lost while driving

While the vehicle is in motion i get e rattle thought my steering column down into my peddle,. I cann fell the rattle through the intermediate steering shaft. It happens alot more on rough roads, for example my drive way is gravel, everytime i come home into my driveway i feel the rattle. It doesn't feel like my tires, bur more so my whole steering shaft. You can also see the shake in the steering wheel if you look closely at it. I have addressed this with my dealership and told them i don't feel comfortable driving it. But they told me they couldn't recreate the nosie so they couldn't even check the steering shaft for me. I don't feel safe. And i want a recall for this.

The contact owns a 2018 chevrolet colorado. The contact stated that the driver and passenger sides of the fender wheel/cargo bed were buckling and rippling. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to all american chevrolet of san angelo (203 north bryant blvd, san angelo, tx 76903, 844-342-6320), but was not diagnosed or repaired. Themanufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 95019035528. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 69,000.

The multimatic dssv damper in the left rear lost its fluid through a leak. Various forums indicate there is a design flaw with the dssv for the zr2. A blown shock renders the vehicle unbalanced, and marginally safe in unexpected rough terrain or when pulling a trailer. These dampers or shocks have shafts that are too thin and poorly designed seals, causing them to leak.

The truck is the zr2 model, crew cab short bed. I was towing a 2100lb trailer with 347# of tongue weight at 25mph, uphill, on a dirt road. Hit a dip in the road at 25 mph and it bent the frame at the cab/pick up box area. The frame necks down to 3 1/2 inches there with 2 factory large oval holes on both sides of the frame.i have found another pic ofa zr2 towing a trailer, and it bent at the exact same place.

Front end clucking when going over bumps or pulling into driveways at vey minimum speed.

El vehćculo en muchas ocasiones no quiere encender el tablero, se vuelve loco como si quisiera apagar ah blim, queda mucho ah, las luces del tablero y la radio se encienden y apagan

Intermittent problem with ignition key not being able to be removed.seems to be related to the shift lever, moving that back and forth can usually rectify the problem after many attempts.vehicle stationary.

May 2018, my wife and i noticed an obnoxious odor coming from ac after startup and believe an ac issue as starts blowing cold then warm/humid then back cold & it puts out a musty? smell the smell goes away, but after i have stopped and then restarted truck after a couple minutes and drive a couple more minutes the odor again presents itself.in june took the truck in for service and they sprayed the air filter with a disinfectant(?).that just masked the smell for a day or two, but the odor still present.the service tech was not been able to replicate the issue.this is still occurring and we have noticed that the odor occurs when using heat too.informed service advisor in december when truck in for work.issue of order still can not be replicated.

Bad rattling coming from back tires when coming out of driveway. And when passing any bumps. Has a sound on left tire that sounds like something is loose. Rattling sound is getting worst and it is very annoying. I love my truck but i am very disappointed in the rattling sounds. Sounds it did not make when i bought it.

5/20/18 ac issues -- starts blowing cold then warm/humid then back cold.inform service advisor when took truck in (6/18/18) for service. Tech not find ac issue.8/7/18 truck in again -- ac starts blowing cold air then puts out warm/humid air then back to cold air.-- temp is set 72 and outside is 85 - why do i have to put on auto to get cold air to blow out or adjust down to get?why on auto it wants to freeze us at 72 and temp has to be adjusted up?tech monitor doors with ac running & were working as designed -- note they report wam to cold - not cold to warm to cold as i reported.well the issue still holds and the truck's climate control (blending process) has as issue in getting the temp adjusted on startup.2/18/19 - on my drive yesterday with my wife, truck temp set at 74 and outside temp was 54 and 40 minutes into drive the vehicle fogged up the side windows and i had to turn on defrost. Then that evening as temp had dropped, when turned on truck it blew hot then cold then back to hot.the blending that the system is doing is not working correctly.need to go back to the manual ac/heat control!

The vehicle had just returned from a 50 mile trip when the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was not running and had been parked for about 5 minutes when the fire started (from the engine compartment).

While driving my truck overheated and antifreeze was leaking inside the car. Due to the antifreeze leaking my windows were fogging up pretty quickly and i couldnā€™t see. Therefore having to stop in the middle of the road cause i could t see almost getting hit. Now i can not drive the my car due to the smell making my kids and myself sick. It also states in the paper work after buying my truck new that this is a defect part. This would be a heater core. Thanks for this heater core being inside the truck i almost was hurt.

Cab vibration 70 mph to 75 mph

Vibration and shuttering at 40-80 mph coming from engine.

Atspeed and on acceleration, vehicle pulls intermittently and sharply. Vehicle drives rough, transmission shifts rough. Tires skip upon acceleration from stop. Tires show abnormal tread wear on inside edge despite proper inflation and alignment.

2018 chevrolet colorado...when driving if a side window is dropped less than an inch, vehicle shakes, vibrates and make odd noises.raise all windows and vehicle runs smoothly.many drivers are reporting the same problem online.both the colorado and same gmc vehicle having same problem.when a window is lowered the vehicle vibrates and shakes violently...one has to drop down to 30 miles and hour to make itsafe to drive.seems like a problem gmc should be able to repair without muchtrouble.

The key repeatedly will not turn to off position and cannot be removed from ignition. This results in my having to leave the key in the ignition. Ie: at the grocery store, at the post office, at the drug store etc. I have taken to dealership. The first time for 2 days and they said they could not duplicate the problem. The 2nd time it happened in the service drive. The service advisor saw it but the technician said could not duplicate. This could result in stolen vehicle or dead battery depending how long i have to leave in the on position. The tsb on this says replace shifter control assembly.
