2008 chevrolet silverado. Consumer writes regarding takata airbag safety recall. *ldthe consumer stated the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time completing the recall repair.the consumer referenced recall49151.

Consumer writes in regards to several problems with vehicle.the consumer stated the day the vehicle was purchased, it stalled in the middle of the highway.the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. However, they stated there was nothing wrong.the next incident occurred, when the consumer bounced off ac curb. The third incident, the vehicle stalled again. The last time the vehicle stalled, the consumer ran up on the median, and damaged the rim.

Consumer noticed a thumping sound when turning the vehicle on. The mechanic notified the consumer the problem was with the battery.

Consumer writes in regards to faulty ignition. *ld the consumer stated in order to have the vehicle repaired it would need to be transported on a ferry in order to have the repairs made. The cost of the ferry was 1000. This was unacceptable to the consumer.the consumer stated the dealer offered to pay for the ferry to and from the dealer with a cost of 150.00 from the consumer. The dealer declined to provided a rental for the during the repair process. This was unacceptable for the consumer.
Ignition switch failed and was replaced.
The dealer failed to tighten one tie-rod end cinch nut, and lost one clip to retain a brake sensor wire, and over tightened lug nuts way past specification, and one ball joint seal was cut open.
Camshaft is making a "knocking" sound.
Head gasket failed.
Indicator lights come on and check battery stayed on, smelled ordor as if burned rubber when geetingout of the car, usually stalls when going down a hill replace board, fuel pump, pulsator spider, to no avail.
Engine seals leak.
Consumer states that in 1985 this new vehicle had to have the engine replaced.

The accelerator pump on the rochester four barrel carburator combined with the after market edelbrock air cleaner are unsafe.the air cleaner bottom is not stationary and tends to hold the accelerator pump in the down position causing raw fuel to spill.vibrations cause the air cleaner to rotate.
Vehicle was equipped with a hydraulic automatic parking brake system that engaged when the vehicle was put into park gear.the system failed and the parking brake was engaged prematurely.when this occurred, it burned and destroyed the brake components.the part number that was replaced was 15961566.(tropi cal 235 1996 on chevrolet chassis) *scc

Consumer brought vehicle to dealer due to a plastic seatbelt cover that was broken, dealer stated that the part had to be special ordered, it is now 4 months later and consumer still has not received this part, consumer did not give year or model of vehicle.

The front head rests being so high and wide, limited his view when turning his head to the right or left.
