We purchased a vehicle from shamley in el paso texas and we were in volved in a head on coullsion. We tried to stop and the breaks didn't function we were going 25 mph. We lost traction control and hit a car who took the red light and the air bags popped and the driver airbags emblem was marked on my forearm. May you please assist me
None of my 2017 camaro airbags deployed after an 18 wheeler hit me while driving on the interstate. I was going approx. 55 mph in the far slow right lane. Trucker hit me on drivers side and my car was hooked to the truck. He then drug me approx. 50' at speeds of 45-55 mph. When i did finally get loose from truck it the slung me in front of the truck where he then hit me again from behind. At least one of the 4 airbags should have deployed. Especially the drivers side airbag. This angers me b/c it is one main reason i purchased this car. And in addition, apparently non of the crash response sensors worked either. Onstar was supposed to contact me should an accident occur. I tried calling them while i sat in the middle of the interstate. Sat on hold for an agent 10 mins before i finally hung up.
I had bought a 2017 camaro on 5/18/2021 and on 6/13/2021 i was in a car accident and once we were hitthe air bags pop out we were not going to fastand on the driver side the embrome pop out and also smoke the driver had put his arm to cover his face and he has the mark on his arm of the embrome

Was in a wreck and not all the ir bags deployed, the wheels came apart from the tires and the wheels broke apart, and the seat broke
Feb 2019, i received a call from the chevy dealer where i purchased my camaro back in april 2017, stating that my vehicle has a safety recall which effect the electric power steering. I read up on the recall which stated, the electric steering can fail while operating the vehicle which will make it hard to steer. I contacted the dealer to bring my car in for service, they told me that there was no remedy for the recall and that they will reach out to me when they have one. Manufacturer recall number n182182760. Nhtsa recall number, 19v086it is now june 2019 and on 6/16/19, i was driving my car about 15-20mph, driving around a roundabout and my steering wheel locked on me, causing me to wreck my car which caused my seat and overhead airbags to deploy along with suspension, wheel and body damage. I had the wheel turned left going around the circle and as i was trying to turn the steering wheel back to the right to exit the roundabout, my steering wheel locked, causing me to run over top of the curb striking my wheels on the edge of the steel sewer and back into the street striking the left side of my vehicle on an island exiting the roundabout which caused my airbags to deploy. Once my airbags deployed my engine and electrical was shut down automatically. I did suffer a hard impact on my left shoulder from the airbag. Gm finally came up with a remedy this month 6/2019 for the recall. A representative from the dealer gave me gm's customer service number to call and report the incident. I had to file an insurance claim with my insurance and if my car is repairable, i would have to pay my deductible and suffer higher insurance rates all because of a recall that gm fail to repair in a timely manner. As i'm driving at 55mph or higher, all of the sudden the car shuts off and comes right back on and all you see are all the dashboard lights turn on and off all at once which is scary because when that happens, you have no control of the car because once the car shuts off, for that one or two seconds it does this you have no control and the steering wheel locks on you.the car will also not allow you to press on the gas peddle to make the speed go up, at time when i depress the gas peddle, the car hesitates and does not want to accelerate and then all of the sudden it accelerates at a very high speed without you controlling it.
Blue tooth doesn't work consistently. I have to yell in order for someone calling to hear me.sometimes that doesn't even work. Whether i have my phone hooked up or not.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated while his wife was stopped at a traffic light, the light turned green and the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated that his wife was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that when he attempted to jump start the vehicle, the vehicle remained off, but the passengerā€™s side rear taillight illuminated, and the windshield wipers engaged independently. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after three attempts. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the battery had failed. The vehicle was then taken to connell chevrolet (2828 harbor blvd, costa mesa, ca 92626) who diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced, and the dealer test drove the vehicle but informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 42,767.

I took my 2017 chevy camaro to tom bell chevy located in redlands california they replaced the soft top on my car because of a recall. When i got home i noticed that the soft top was making noises when it was going up and as i was closing it.when i looked to see what the noise was, i saw that the arms that raise the soft top up and down were completely broken. I contacted tom bell chevy immediately and was told to contact the 'upholstery guy' who i've never met in my life. They gave me a number to call and told me that the person or company they used to replace the soft top that was recalled on my 2017 camaro would come to my home and fix the issue. It has been now months and no one has ever came to fix it nor has tom bell chevy in redlands california called me back. I e left voicemail after voicemail, emailed them many times and sent texts and called the upholstery people but no one has returned my calls or emails.the vehicle is damaged and it was done by whomever did the recall replacement on the soft top. Also, the soft top that my vehicle was replaced with is nasty, very very cheap material and while driving the car it feels like the entire car is going to flip over because of how thin and cheap material the soft top was replaced with.i need someone to contact me immediately so that this issue can get fixed. I would hate to contact my attorney so i hope that this gets fixed immediately because it's been almost a year now since the soft top and control arms/motor were replaced and no one has contacted me and i'm being ignored.the vin number is [xxx]redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

Upon driving the vehicle, service power steering would randomly flash on the dic multiple times throughout the journey (while slowing down, at a stop and accelerating). Loss of power steering has yet to happen, but seems very imminent. Upon vin check, the vehicle is not a part of the recall and this seems to be an error.

Cylinder 6 fuel injector failed at 23,800 miles and this part is not covered under power train warranty. It's a $900 repair!
2017 camaro zl1 manual this is specific for this car model.there is an issue with throttle response when moving out of a stop. Engine stalls and rpm comes back afterward very high. This is dangerous on cross road stops and stop lights. Had few events the car would almost stall and be in a dangerous place in the road with upcoming traffic.this problem can cause a collision. It requires new ignition timing programming of the ecu. Chevrolet is aware of the issue for a long time and has not issued any fixes yet.

I purchased my 2017 camero with only 36 miles on it. The vehicle has been back to the dealership several times for maintenance within the first year of me purchasing the vehicle. It has been twice for the vibration of the transmission. At first they told me it was a issue with the tires. I ended up purchasing newtires, however the problem still persisted. I took the vehicle back to the dealership and they finally stated that it was a issue with the transmission fluid and they had to wait on gm to send some to the dealership. The most recent issue i have with my 2017 camero is that the stability track light came on, this caused my car to cut off while i was driving it. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership. The dealership stated they repaired the stability track issue but i need a new engine or to have the engine rebuilt. The dealership stated a code#2 cylinder misfire internal code displayed. The dealership stated that a new engine would cost me around $8900.00 plus labor. They stated to rebuild it it would be over $10,000.00. They stated my warranty was up at 60,000 miles and that there is nothing that they or gm can do to to assist me. This is the first car that i have ever purchased and it 's unthinkable that a engine goes out on a car with 70,000 miles on it. I also kept up with my regular scheduled maintenance . I don't know what to do.
When taking off from a stop, at normal speed, the engine bogs and almost stalls. This requires a re application of the clutch and more throttle to prevent stalling. This happens almost daily. It has happened while pulling into traffic from a driveway and almost caused an accident.i have been driving with a clutch for over 30 years on both cars and motorcycles. There is a real problem with the torque management system on this car.this problem affects many of this model of camarothere is an online forum that has an in depth discussion of the problem: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=498180&page=10

Bought the vehicle brand new january 2017...2017 convertible camaro ss. 6 weeks later the brakes have been squeaking all day every day. They squeak on any type of road and at any time of the day. I have brought it to 3 dealerships to be looked at and filed a formal complaint with gm they refuse to help me with anything. I have found thousands of the same complaints online andis just refusing to fix the issue or refund the money for these vehicles. They are saying the squeaking of the brakes is normal. I asked for them to replace them and fix the issue and they won't. Now when the vehicle gets over 50 mph the whole front end also vibrates and when i come to a complete stop and press the gas to accelerate it lunges forward. Nothing is being fixed.
When i'm driving in the highway at cruising speeds there is a shudder vibration coming from the transmission contacted gm took my car in to hendricks chevrolet 3 months ago, the shudder came back contacted gm again asked for me to make an appointment with another dealer michael chevrolet they denied to even look at my car now the person handling my case at gm will not return my calls every time i call they want to transfer me to faris the guy handling my case never get a call back i would really like this to get investigated i have exhausted my avenues and i'm very afraid i'm stuck with a lemon. It's only a 2017 with 28000 miles. I should not have to deal with this issue my last car never gave me problems and it had almost two hundred thousand miles. Please help me!!!
The manual transmission bogs in first gear under aggressive acceleration from a standing start. This most often occurs when pulling out into traffic. I have had the vehicle almost stall on numerous occasions iwhen pulling out into traffic.i believe the cause is excessive torque management in the vehicle's ecu program.
When i am driving or when i start my car every two weeks or so many miles the engine light will come on. After driving so many miles or a day later the engine light will go back off. This has happened 10 times since purchasing the car. I am taking it to the dealership on monday to figure out why this may be happening. This is $150 just to get a diagnostics test done. I have had a diagnostics test done on the car previously when this first happened for free at an auto store. It threw the p0024 cam shaft code. I'm anxious to figure out what's happening.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. While driving 32 mph, the vehicle decelerated and lost power in the middle of the road. Also, the steering wheel seized and excessive force had to be used to turn the steering wheel. The vehicle was driven to chevrolet montebello (310 w whittier blvd, montebello, ca 90640, (323) 680-5933) where it was diagnosed that an oil change was needed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure later recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was unknown.
Starter getting heat and not allowing the car to start properly or not at all . There is a lawsuit about this issue but never has happen in favor of the customers
Pulley bearing or pulley tensioner is squeaking. The service advisors at my dealer refused to believe any sort of noise, except another service rep said he hears it. They refused to fix any issue because they're lazy and dont want to pay for the part.

The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that while driving 45 to 60 mph, the vehicle vibrated abnormally. The contact stated that the vibration was felt under the driver's and passenger's front seats. The vehicle was taken to fox chevrolet (632 e. Main street se., caledonia, michigan 49316, (616)-891-8106) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the shudder, vibration and hard shift were due to the failure of the transmission fluid. The contact was informed that the transmission fluid needed to be drained and refilled. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle was currently over the 55,000 mile warranty. The failure mileage was 32,000.
My car has been having a lot of vibrations, sputtering, rumbling while driving. Especially when speeding up. It happens while in cruise control also. I took it to be serviced and they said it was the torque converter. They flushed the system and said it should clear up after 200 miles with the new fluid they replaced. I took it back because it has been over 500 miles and is still happening. I was told all they can do is replace the fluid again for now until they fix the problem. Why are they not able to replace the torque converter now before it causes more intensive damage? i am afraid as it gets worse i will be broken down on the side of the road with a car that is in worse repair than it should be.
I bought the car new. It's been in shop 3 times already due to transmission issues. Always wanting to add different transmission fluids/flushing 18-na-355. Car has vibration and shudder at highway speed. Jerks as when gears change out for an automatic transmission.my car has low miles and very well taken care of inside and out. I do have more documentation if needed
Takaya recall 2017 camaro 35k mileswhen my car is in motion it shifts gears very hard and when i am going highway speed around 66-72 my car starts vibrating like it's about to fall apart but when i'm going down a hill at that same speed i don't have this problem.
Hello! i want to report gm on the infamous 8l45 transmission shudder. I have had the fluid changed in 2018, the torque converter changed in 2018, and the fluid flushed with the na-18-355 bulletin back last year. Although the shudder hasn't returned. I don't trust that this transmission shows quality. I worry that this will last until our warranties are up and we're on our own. This not acceptable. This is a weak point of this amazing car. I had rough shifting and i've had shifts that bucked. This is not safe. This should be a recall or gm should give everyone a longer warranty on these transmissions.
Transmission stutters and car shakes while shifting and driving between 30-80 mph. Hard shifting from park to drive.
Starter getting heat and not allowing the car to start properly or not at all . There is a lawsuit about this issue but never has happen in favor of the customers
Transmission hesitates hard shifts vibrates and shudders when accelerating. Especially noticable between 55 to 85 mph. Very dangerous when driving on highway or interstate as the hesitation during shudder may delay criticalmaneuvering of vehicle
The car vibrates when driving at speeds over 30 mph. It feels like you are driving over rumble strip. It does this every time i drive it now. It also shifts hard as it changes gears. I had to have a new rear boot put on the passenger side. All of the grease in the rear wheel boot was all over my wheel. There is a roar in the rear end when you first pull out onto the road. It feels like it is in the rear axle.
While the vehicle is moving on either street or highway, the transmission vibrates when slowly accelerating and the rpm's are around 1500.
I purchased this car new in october, 2016. My transmission problems started soon after owning it, growing worse as time went on. The car would not shift, once it did, it lurched. It would miss shifting, lag, delay and roughly drive, even though being an automatic.the dealer only serviced new software updates; all else was ignored. In early august, 2019, a service manager told me to get a second opinion.i soon discovered that gm is being sued, via class action law suits as my problems are being experienced by many others, yet they still sell new cars with this same transmission.on august 17, 2019, i traded it back in to the dealer with only 17,400 miles on it, not knowing that i would be stiffed on the trade in value.gm did almost nothing to help me, finally admitting that they know they have a problem, but no solution.i have discovered that most trade publications and media outlets have not run this story alerting the public that gm in knowingly selling cars with bad transmissions.how do i recover my losses?thanks, [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).'*pm

Transmission slips at approximately 1500-1800 rpm while in motion on highway causing severe vibration of vehicle. Transmission won't hold a gear and won't automatically shift to prevent vibration. Vehicle seems to 'lug' at these rpm's.

Takata recall i just purchased the camaro it has 48 k miles and seems like the torque converter is trying to pass the transmission i have took it to several places to get it looked at and they keep telling me it's normal but there is nothing normal about a car that sounds like its about to break apart especially not this new i'm am about tired of the car and noone wanting to fix it even doh i have factory warranty on it and even extended warranty thru silverrock i have seen where many are having this problem with the transmission on these cars and noone wants to do anything about it
Had a torque converter shudder which was fixed by updating to new gm fluids. After this service, around 1000 miles later i started experiencing hard shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. Took it into service where they changed a valve body. This got rid of my hard shifts for about 1500 miles, then it came back even worse. These problems occur when the car is in motion(usually under slow acceleration).
Shuttering at low speeds coming to a stop and now having trouble with the reverse once in reverse it doesn't want to shift out of it fights you big time and have to play with it to get it back to first all other forward functions seem to be fine at this time this is a 6 speed manual transmission.
Hard shifts between 1st & 2nd gear vibration between 1500 & 1800 rpm. This car has active fuel management vibration seems to happen worse when in4 cylinder mode. Gm is aware of the issue and keeps promising a fix which has yet to be released. Blame it on fluid intransmission.

Transmission is slipping engine surging between 35 an 60 mph.
Torque converter shudder, hard jerky shift ..vibration around highway speed, vibration goes away when let off gas pedal... Lagg in acceleration around when car is already in motion.. Had the transmission fluid flush 3 times with my local chevrolet dealership... They said theres nothing going can do anything to fix it if theres no code indicating that something is wrong.. By the time it throw a code either the transmission or the torque converter fail.
My camaro shakes violently when the car cruises at around 1,200 to 1,400 rpm.i have taken it back to the dealer several times and have had the transmission tripled flushed.the problem goes away for a few days and then returns.the dealer says that they cannot do any more to rectify the problem, but the vibration is getting worse.i am concerned for both the safety and decreased value of my case as a result of gm ignoring this problem.the problem has been present since i purchased the vehicle in 2018.
Cylinder 6 fuel injector failed at 23,800 miles and this part is not covered under power train warranty. It's a $900 repair!
The front and back windows get a film on them. We were told it was because of the leather seats. When the car has been sitting when you start the car there is a shift flare from 1st to 2nd speed. It does it one time after it's been sitting for an hour or so.
Pulley bearing or pulley tensioner is squeaking. The service advisors at my dealer refused to believe any sort of noise, except another service rep said he hears it. They refused to fix any issue because they're lazy and dont want to pay for the part.
Was in a wreck and not all the ir bags deployed, the wheels came apart from the tires and the wheels broke apart, and the seat broke
May you please assist me
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. While driving 60 mph and exiting the highway, all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle did not respond. The contact veered to the shoulder of the road, allowing the vehicle to come to a complete stop. The contact attempted to turn the vehicle off and back on, which failed to return the vehicle to normal. The contact was able to drive the vehicle at low speeds to sierra chevrolet (721 e central ave, monrovia, ca 91016, (626) 605-1537). The dealer diagnosed that the brake assist module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to have the brake module repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in a recall. The manufacturer stated that the failure was related to maintenance and provided case number: 9-5640437071. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000. The vin was unknown.
While driving on the highway at 60 -70 mph in light to medium rain and it was around 35 degress, my brakes failed to work. I pressed on the brake pedal and there was no resistance. The pedal went to the floor and no brakes were applied until 3 sec. It felt like it was building pressure and after 3sec it applied the brakes forcebly becuse the petal was on the floor. It was very scary and i almost got into several accidents. The problem kept occuring during the entire 3 hr drive. Everytime i wanted to use the brakes i had none unti after 3sec. The car has 25000 miles and still the factory tires. Around 4months ago i had the rotors and pads changed out by the dealer. After i reached my destination my check engine light came on. Not sure if its related or aother new issue. Car has been at the dealer for 3days now.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated while driving 75 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but was firm. The brake assist failure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to sterling mccall chevrolet (17800 north fwy, houston, tx 77090) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 71,045.

The power steering goes out while driving the vehicle. It remains out until you shut the car off and restart it.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. Upon starting the vehicle, the power steering warning indicator illuminated intermittently. While driving various speeds, the power steering failed and the power steering warning indicator illuminated again. To resume normal driving, the contact had to pull the vehicle over and restart the vehicle. The contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 19v086000 (steering); however, a vin search showed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The dealer and manufacturer were aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
Car comes equipped with eps (electric power steering assist). I have had two occasions since ownership where power steering ceases to work while i'm driving and the vehicle is in motion. The first occurrence happened at around 8k miles and i was on the freeway. I lost power steering while driving! i took it to autonation chevrolet in austin tx and they replaced a connector. I received the car back and then at 11,000 miles it occurred again: https://youtu.be/rrnmxbnkxwm -- this time i take it back and show them the video as well and the dealer tells me because they can't replicate the issue, they refuse to replace the steering torque sensor or steering rack (which have been found to be the culprits of these issues.) for the reason that gm will not reimburse them if they can't replicate the issue and they need to wait till it fully breaks... ...they also literally told me that it switches to manual steering and that it should still be okay.. And this is a $50,000 car.. This is not okay, if i lose power steering in the middle of a critical turn unexpectedly, it could very well put me into a ditch.
Steering wheel torque sensor failed open causing loss of power steering. Error code c0545.there is an active gm factory recall for power steering failure, recall number: n182182760 and nhtsa campaign number:19v086000.unfortunately, my vin was not part of that recall.power steering failure occurred at 27,280 miles on vehicle. My vehicle is a 2017 chevy camaro ss convertible. The failure occurred while sitting at a stop light on naval station norfolk in norfolk va. A message flashed on the console reading service power steering, drive with care.at that point steering the car at low speed required significant amount of force to turn the steering wheel. Fortunately, the failure did not occur while the car was in motion or on an on/off ramp or in traffic as it could have caused an accident.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle loss power steering assist with the service power steering warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the johnny londoff chevrolet located at 1375 dunn road, st, louis, mo, (314)-227-9430, where it was stated that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
I received notification that my 2017 chevrolet camaro has a recall for the power steering. The notification states the dealer will replace the power steering gear assembly; however, when i contacted the dealer to have the recall fixed they said no remedy is ready yet.
After acceleration the steering will randomly pull left and or right. This requires an unexpected force to control causing a safety concern. This can happen at any time or weather but normally at the beginning of a drive. Ongoing issue.
Car has less then 7000 miles and the power steering went out while driving 60+ mph.after stopping and turning off ignition, the power steering was available.i called the dealer and they were content to take it in; while driving there, it went out again and i drove it straight to the dealer and did not turn off ignition.they concurred that it was an issue but couldn't find the problem so they simply re-programmed the module.i'm glad my wife and kids were not driving it at the time as they're not accustomed to driving w/o power steering so the circumstances could have been bad.i'm concerned it can go out again.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that the electric power steering indicator flashed and the steering wheel seized while driving at any rate of speed. The vehicle had to be turned off and restarted due to the failure. Beck masten buick gmc (877-380-8433, located at 113000 fm 1960 w houston, tx 77065) was contacted, but could not remedy the failure. Valmark chevrolet (725 i-35, new braunfels, tx 78130, (830) 261-4037) was also contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to provide the part for nhtsa campaign number: 19v086000 (steering) since february 7, 2019. The vehicle was retained by both dealers and was unable to be driven. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
Driving vehicle and power steering failed while car was in motion. Message on dash board read service power steering.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro.the contact stated that while in heavy traffic, the steering wheel seized as the vehicle in front abruptly depressed the brakes.as a result, the vehicle crashed into the rear of the vehicle in front. The contact vehicle front end was severely damaged. The air bags did not deploy. The contact was not injured, no one else was in the vehicle with the contact. The person that the contact crashed into was not injured. There was no need for medical attention. No police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a local body shop. The vehicle needed a new hood, front lights and bumper. The vehicle was repaired but the cause of the failure was not determined. A nhtsa id number/odi: 11220867 was filed previously. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 114,000.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that while reversing out of his driveway, the power steering failed with the power steering warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ron craft chevrolet (4114 interstate 10 e, baytown, tx 77521, (888) 304-9114) where it was diagnosed that the electric power steering gear box failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact mentioned nhtsa campaign number: 19v086000 (steering) as a possible solution to the failure however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.
The first time this happened we were driving back from nc to va on the interstate and the power steering went out. We got a message that said power steering lost drive with caution. The 2nd time this happened i was driving approximately 45 mph on the highway and got the same message. Both times once the car was turned off and sat for awhile the power steering came back. The car was taken to the local dealership and checked out. Per them, they could find anything wrong.
Steering wheel locked up
While driving the car through corners, the steering wheel will intermittently steer in the opposite direction that i'm turning.i feel this is a major safety concern that can lead to an accident. This has happened multiple times, but the first incident occurred may 12, 2017.
I drove the car 4 miles then turned it off and parked.upon starting the vehicle again the power steering failed. A warning on the dash indicated that the power steering was not working and to drive carefully. I drove the car back home 4 miles and parked in the garage. The condition cleared after i shut the car off and restarted it. The vehicle was parked when the incident occurred.
Started my car started to pull out of the parking lot into a highway lost power steering assist and had to turn steering wheel with a lot of effort and avoided a collision . Pulled over to side of road shut off and restarted still no power steering . Pulled two codes and drove home 75 miles with no electric power assist. Took car to chevrolet gave them codes and they did not tell me of any recall , although many camaros have been recalled for exact problem. I am a master ase technician . This was a dangerous situation if it's not in the recall it should be . The car is at parkway chevrolet in tomball tx . Codes c056d, c047a
While in motion the cars power steering warning comes on & makes it almost impossible to turn the wheel. So when you turn car off it goes away but then comes on again while in motion. It has been in shop 3 times already & has yet to be fixed. It's already happened atleast 7 times & they still can't find or fix the problem.
Progressive claim [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Dealership is awaiting general motors answer on what to do but it's still listed for sale on websites
Complete loss of power steering , recall was issued february 7th. I am experiencing this issue almost daily while my vehicle is in motion anywhereand there is still no remedy for this issue.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that while driving, the steering wheel became stiff and difficult to maneuver. The vehicle had slowed down in heavy traffic and when needing to maneuver the steering wheel it seized causing a fender bender to the rear of another vehicle. In addition, there was an abnormal clicking noise coming from the steering wheel. A police report was not filed. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was parked at the contacts residence due to the failure. A dealer was not contacted yet to diagnose the cause of the failure. As of june 15th, 2019, the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v086000 (steering). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. The consumer stated the air bag did not work during accident.
Steering torque sensor failed when trying to turn into driveway and was put at risk of being rear-ended by not being able to get off of roadway (will only turn so far and no further).it is documented on the internet several times (camaros, corvettes & cadillacs) and when you restart vehicle it resets for anywhere from 5 secs. To 5 min.my vehicle has approximately 21,500 miles on it and should not have this kind of defect. There is a message that comes on when it happens that says power assist disabled.there is no advance warning of occurrence. Dealer wants $1,886.82 to fix.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 19v086000 (steering). The contact stated that keyes chevrolet (located at 5949 van nuys blvd, sherman oaks, ca 91401, (818) 254-8277) was contacted and exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that the part was not available for the repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
My convertible rear window is detaching from the ragtop. My concern is that the window will blow out completely and cause an accident.
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. The contact stated that rainwater leaked into the vehicle on the front passengerā€™s side of the vehicle. The contact stated that they were unsure if the water was leaking by the rear seats of the vehicle. The contact could hear air entering the cabin of the vehicle and see some outside light entering through the top and sides of the convertible roof. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that the sound of air and hints of light entering through the seal of the convertible roof was normal. However, the leaking was repaired by replacing the seals around the roof. The contact stated the failure reoccurred during the next inclement weather. Currently, the convertible top failed to return to the upward position after being lowered. Several attempts were needed for the convertible top to return to the closed position. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under a recall nor under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 40,042.
The convertible top had a recall on my car. Itook it to the dealership and they kept the car for a while and replaced the top but immediately after i took it home the mechanical mechanism broke and haven't been able to use the top and no one has contacted me to replace the recalled top and motor to the convertible top portion
The contact owns a 2017 chevrolet camaro. While driving, a clicking noise was heard from the vehicle's convertible roof. The vehicle was taken to riverside chevrolet (8200 auto drive, riverside, ca 92504, (951)-688-8111) to be diagnosed, but the contact did not receive the inspection report to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage and vin were not available.
2017 camaro purchased car on february 2017; recently my car has been showing the check engine light every time i go over a speedbump or pot hole or anything. The check engine light will go away in a day or two after that. The third time the check engine light turned on, i got a reading done at autozone, showed it was transmission fluids or transmission sensor. Few days after that the check engine light turned off and took it to ed bozarth, where i purchased my car, service department.the service department was unable to detect for a whole week from 11/24/2020 to 11/30/2020 what was wrong with the car. They finally got back to me and stated my car is reading p0711 for transmission fluid senor performance and they need to replace two transmission harness. The service department is not sure how it happen or what caused it. I believe this could be part of the service bulletin:15111 special coverage.
While driving in the city as well as interstate, vehicle started shuddering at low rpm.
The convertible top had a recall on my car. Itook it to the dealership and they kept the car for a while and replaced the top but immediately after i took it home the mechanical mechanism broke and haven't been able to use the top and no one has contacted me to replace the recalled top and motor to the convertible top portion
The window in the convertible top is coming out. I was told that this is not covered on warranty because i was 2000 miles over. With the age of this vehicle this not have happened. I bought the car last year.
I have 2017 camaro convertible, around 2020 i notice the rear window glass was separating from the top material. This car manufacturer should take the responsibility to repair the defect. There was an earlier complaint with nhtsa service # 17-na-216
Interior door handle - chrome peels and is extremely sharp, cutting driver/passenger when trying to exit vehicle. (stationary, any time the door is opened from the inside)
The rear window on my convertible is delaminating from the convertible top. Its concerning considering the possibility of it falling out and shattering on a passengers head! the flipper doors on the interior rear quarter panels have also broken. A service bulletin was previously released, but the dealership refused to fixed both issues.
Radio completely stopped working and that's where you change all of your settings
Put car in park and then turned vehicle off.once turned off shift to park message comes on.
Back glass began coming loose from rag top around the edges of the glass starting at the bottom of the glass panel in the corners at about 34,000 miles. Back glass could potentially blow out and cause damage or harm to other motorist or passengers.
Car vibrates intensely while accelerating. Typically on the highway between 60 and 70 mph.
552(b)(6). *cc
When i drive and push the gas sometimes the car vibrates. It was doing it once in a while like 5 months ago when i first purchased it so i thought nothing of it, now every time i drove it vibrates when i push the gas
The back widow is coming lose from the convertible top. It started around 37000 miles and now more and more it coming lose. .it could a major safety issue if it comes out.i know tons of camaroowners with same issues
Gas peddle stuck to the floor twice while i was in motion on a country highway, forcing me to high speeds before i could shut down engine stop and pull peddle up off floor. Rear of peddle mount broke loose from floor causing peddle to overlap front of mount. Dealer tried to say it is fine just dont push it hard and it wont stick i insist it be replaced dealer is reluctant to fix sent me home with broken peddle and says they are ordering parts. These peddles are cheap junk and i beleive more will fail.
The windshield is constantly fogging to the point that it is dangerous to drive.half of the windshield fogs over because gm states that its designed that way....which is great if driving with my head out the driver side window.i have sent multiple pictures to gm and they say its normal.it's so ridiculous that the owner of the dealership offered to buy the vehicle back because gm is no help.gm can not be allowed to dismiss this seroius plroblem.if you cant see out of a windshield, how is anyone suppose to drive a vehicle safely???i can submit multiple pictures of myself attempting to drive while this is happening.
They have a flaw where there is always vent from when theac is on to the defrost vent on the windshield, here in texas where there is 100 humidity most of the year. I have poor visibility because of all the condensation from cold air hitting the windshield all the time. I am having to run my wipers anytime i drive my vehicle, even with no rain. It causes for a major distraction and i have almost wreck several times
Constant window fogging when the ac is on.
The front and back windows get a film on them. We were told it was because of the leather seats. When the car has been sitting when you start the car there is a shift flare from 1st to 2nd speed. It does it one time after it's been sitting for an hour or so.
Windshield constantly fogs regardless of the ac temperature. This affect visibility on a car that's already famous for having terrible visibility.
Mainly at night the windshield has lots of condensation on the outside . There is a service bulletin but it doesn't help, actually it made mine worse.you can feel the air coming from the defroster on the inside of the car. We have to ride with the wipers on. I had a case with gm but it was closed because the engineers said that there is nothing to be done. We bought the car in february it has some condensation but has only gotten worse
Ac blows on front window causing constant condensation on windshield. I have turned the ac on and off, adjusted the temperature high/low and my windshield always gets fogged up. The higher the humidity the worse it is.
Windshield fogs up when driving to the point that visibility is so obscured you can't drive.when you turn defog on, the outside glass fogs up and you must use wipers but the fogging reoccurs so quickly that it still obstructs view
Vehicle was purchased new.within the first 3 months windshield has always fogged up.issue seemed minor at first but is annoying and is a safety hazard.when running the ac, i always have to turn on wipers to clear-and condensation is always right above defrost vent.
Front windshield keeps fogging up to the point when driving it becomes a safety hazard.took in to get it fixed by dealer according to the fix chevy provided and the fix made it worse, i can't drive with air on or windows willfog up and interfere with visibility.it is a very serious safety hazard when driving.
The windshield fogs up with and without activating the defrost. The fog occurs in the middle of the drive and obstruct the driver's view. The fog also occurs when the vehicle is powered on and in park. However, the risk is the view obstruction when this occurs while driving.this has been ongoing for several months and seems to be getting progressively worse.
Windshield still fogs after dealer performed the tsb,it now fogs with the a/c off and the vent on blocking visibility during the rain and early morning in florida.
In humid conditions the car windshield will fog up (condensation). This is caused by air leaking from the front defroster vent. Covering the vent resolves the issue.gm issued tsb;#17-na-201: excessive windshield condensation, hvac defrost door flutter type noise heard - (jun 16, 2017).had the repair performed in 2017. The issue is not resolved and appears worse now. This appears to be a common issue w/ this generation of camaro. I feel this is a safety concern as it impedes immediate visibility.
Windsheild fogging up while driving with the ac on
Same issue as other's have reported.windshield fogs up right above dash vent even when that vent is not selected and a/c is running.happens often.
