While driving air bag light illuminateed and stayed on the remainder of the time that vehicle was being operated.dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

I was only the highway going about 60mph when my car lost control.i hit the median head on which then led to another car hitting mine.my airbags did not deploy which caused me to hit my head on the steering wheel.i had a knot the size of a baseball and 2 black eyes.i am 8 months pregnant and had to be rushed to the hospital.

The frontal air bag deployed prematurely and shattered the windshield.

While driving 70mph car swerved and flipped front to back 5 times and hit guardrail. Upon impact,air bags did not deploy.

Electrical short, while applying brakes vehicle lost power, lights and wipers went out, vehicle slid out of control and slid/crashed off road, no damage to vehicle. *cj

All lights burning out within days of being replaced and car not reading key correctly, says "security" and won't crank for about 3 minutes.

The horn has two levels of noise, one of the levels of noise completely went out.upon looking at it, we found that the horn was filled with water (thereby muffling the horn noise).the horn should be a sealed component on the car and should not allow leakage.this care has never been driven in any high water.thus, this water could only have been accumulated by rain.

There is a clunk/rattle/thump coming from the rear end, through the driveshaft.the power window on the passenger side sticks when going down and is slow when going up.the horn has been replaced once for a moisture problem, now is having same problem:also, the horn button on steering wheel doesn't work 100% of the time.next, the owner's manual doesn't advise when the change rear axle fluid.lastly, the power steering pump leaks fluid.the cap was replaced once, then it was adjusted.i still have a problem with power steering fluid spewing from under the cap.

My car choked out and i pulled it beside the highway when i came back to it about an hour later it had been burned.i contacted the manufacturer they said they would do an investigation on my car.within a week they called me back and said there was nothing that they could do.my question is how can they tell me that there was nothing machanically wrong if they didn`t go look at my car. Head lights dim on braking-inside dash and radio lights flicker-shifts into 1st gear harsh-voltage drops in the red causing car to almost stall-when turning on air conditioner there is a load whinning noise- car runs eractic on startup-locked up in reverse once-car shakes while driving-clicking noise in the dash-have been to shop over and over for these problems- first it was nothing,then the serp.,belt,then the alternator,now it is my radio causing these problems (so i am told) car still not fixed. As for the exhaust one of the pipes was popping and cracking, this was replaced. (tiresize: 235-55r16)

When attempting to leave a friends house my 2000 chevy camaro (3.8 l v6) would not stay running.after taking the car to the local mechanic it was discovered that the isc motor had "blown."dealers and the manufacturer could not locate an isc motor right away.it turns out that this motor is actually part of the vehicles throttle body.the part that malfunctioned can only be purchased separately for the 5.8l v8, or so we are told, whereas the 3.8l engine must purchase the entire component.currently, the mechanic is working on replacing the throttle body with a brand new, gm supplied part, since there are no aftermarket parts available for the 3.8l.the cost of towing and the part will total just short of $1100.00.

The vehicles check engine light came on.the catalytic converter failed per the diagnostic check at the dealership.the catalytic converter is covered byspecial 10 year or 120,000 mile warranty.the dealership says the good oxygen sensor is probably seized and it will break due to age when they replace the catalytic converter.they want us to pay $208 for a new oxygen sensor.

Engine misfires, service engine check light comes on, smell of rotten eggs, tapping noise

When taking the manual transmission out of third gear the computer cannot find the idle speed , so the engine fluctuates rpms anywhere from 850 rpm to stalling. It does this repeatedly. This was discovered when turning a corner, taking it out of third and losing all power after the engine stalled. The dealership cannot fix the problem and has advised the manufacturer.

Vehicle had an oil consumption problem. Vehicle used 3/4 quart of oil every 2000 miles. In a 3000 mile oil change vehicle would have used 11/4 quarts of oil.contacted dealer, and dealer stated this was normal.

Consumer states that the serpentine belt has small cracks in it. Consumer thinks belt has a defect especially since the vehicle is not used excessively. *mrthe consumer was requesting the manufacturer of the vehicle to pay for replacing the defective belt.

The catalytic converter has failed on the vehicle.the car failed emissions testing.found out the warranty was 8 years/80,000 miles, so took the car to the dealer to diagnosis.vehicle has 21,000 miles on it and gm refused to pay for the repair because they said the converter was "rusted".vehicle is 8 years old and only driven less than 3,000 miles annually and stored for 6 months out of the year.the problem with the converter has nothing to do with rust, the baffles are breaking up inside.gm refuses to offer any assistance.very costly repair, part alone is $750.00 and that does include any labor.

I had a special policy sent to me for the catalytic converter on my 2000 chevrolet camaro. I took the car in to let them test to see if that was why my service engine light was on and it was. They ordered the part and i took it in for repair. Parts and labor were to be covered. The dealership calls me to inform me that my bolts were severly rusted and i would be responsible for the bolts if they broke. They had to remove the bolts regardless if they were rusted or not and i had to pay for the labor that was suppose to be covered. The bolts cost me a total of 4.92 and the labor was 164.00, that is soooo funny that i had to pay for labor that had to be done in the first place to replace the part. I was told the the rust was due to my fault. How is it possible that i keep the bottom side of my car from rusting considering it is 7 years old. I mean the bolts are on the exhaust which gets hot and cold and makes its own condensation and makes its own rust. So if there is gonna be a special policy for a defect on a chevrolet part, which is there fault, you need to make some better guidelines on what is covered. I had to pay for labor that had to be performed regardless if my bolts broke or not. I can understand paying for the broken bolts, but for labor that had to be performed anyway? and general motors was no help at all to me. So my question is why send out a letter to fix a problem on a car so old if the labor is not gonna be covered. And watch out because the dealerships lie, just to get a buck. They told general motors that they had to drill the bolts to get them out. Well that is so funny because they saved the bolts to show me and i have them in my possession and guess what, they aren't drilled. How funny. So when you send out these "special policies" please make sure that the labor is covered so noone else has to endure the crap that i have with chevrolet.

The vehicle experienced problems with the front end pulling to the right, even when you turn to the left there was no response causing the vehicle to veer off the road and hit utilities and an embankment, consumer injured neck/ back, and chest .also 3 days prior to this accident the traction control system failed while driving 40 (in a 55 zone) while raining, consumer went into a skid and ran off the road but there was no property damage.headlights have repeatedly dimmed/flickered when applying brakes or coming up steep hills since the purchase of this car.

There is no specific event that can be tied to this problem. The front indicator housings however have both cracked on two separate occasions. The consequence has been the failure of the indicator system. This has led to the replacement of first the right front indicator housing and now the left front.

The contact owns a 2000 chevrolet camaro z28. The contact stated that when trying to refuel, fuel would overflow onto the ground due to a faulty roll-over ball. Class t-top flew off vehicle at 70 mph due to a broken latch. Dealer has been notified.the dealer says the latch broke when it hit the ground, but the consumer believes it was defective.

Consumer has experienced several problems with the emergency brake, on one occasion, the vehicle rolled out of the garage and ran into a fence due to failure of the emergency brake, another time the brake almost came off in consumer's hand while attempting to set the brake, dealer has not been able to remedy the problem.

Clutch seems to slip quicker than normal.only about 6500 miles on the vehicle and the clutch begins to slip. I have gotten the new slave cylinder, but it still happends.only happends when the clutch gets hot on my vehicle.

The clutch pedal return spring on my 2000 camaro ss broke two years ago. I purchased another one from a local gm dealer. I could not believe the spring was so expensive. ($70.00). I installed the spring my self in 2006 and two years later 2008 the spring broke again. I only drive the car in the summer months. (26,000 kilometers). I do not abuse the car in any way. I believe this is a design defect. I think that a clutch pedal return spring should last longer than two years at $70 a pop.

Bad manual transmissions in the f-body's concerning the six speed.i have a 2000 camaro ss with 34000 miles on it and my original transmission's 5th gear went out at 14000, note my car is not under warranty because of a reconditioned title.but i have purchased another used 6 speed from a local recycling yard and 3rd gear was out of it. Finally i found a local recycler that could get me a rebuilt transmission. Purchased it and installed with all 6 gears ok but now reverse is grinding. My complaint is that i don't see any recalls yet on these transmissions with me finding this many problems just to make my car ok and also my labor charges are exceeding the cost of a used unit now.*la

Once the vehicle warms up, the shift skip (which locks you out of 2nd gear when doing "rabbit" starts if properly working) tends to lock me out of 2nd and 3rd gears both on a consistant basis. I have nearly been hit by a truck and a metro bus as this problem is very unpredictable and it has locked me out of all gears several times.i do not use this vehicle as a "hot rod" or pleasure rod, it is my daily driver to work and i put about 130 miles a day on it and i need a dependable car 7 days a week.

Design flaw. E-brake dragging constantly which eventually warps the rotor and if left alone makes a horrible clunking noise that almost sounds like your differential spit a tooth. A little difficult to explain exactly what's happening but find it hard to believe chevrolet hasn't figured it out. Yes, of course they have! it's just that hundreds of people haven't died.

When the abs brakes are applied with force and the vehicle is not on a flat surface, especially if the weight shifts forward, the rear brakes begin to vibrate uncontrollably causing the rear end to vibrate exstencibly to the point that the vehiclesspins around 180 degreesor more..this occurs at speeds of 40 mph or more.

Front brake rotors warped at 19,000 miles replaced under warranty..rotors warped again at 31,000 miles and resurfaced under warranty..warped beyond repair at 46,000 miles..dealer and gm will not replace and does not believe this to be a defect. Did not have same problem with 97 camaro. *nlm

Car has required service 2 times for warped rotors after only 25000 miles. Neither repair was covered under warranty. First time, the service people said we must have driven the car through water when the brakes were hot. 2nd time they say we are driving the car aggressively or in a lot of traffic, but admit that this is a common problem with camaro ss and corvette. This seems to be a design flaw in the car, if the brake rotor regularly become warped.

When applyingbrakes vehicle will vibrate real hard. Mechanic stated that front rotors were defective.consumer has replaced rotors several times.

I first experienced the brake system problem at 10000 miles. I was informed by the dealership that they did not do brake system repairs on saturday's and i would have to call back and reschedule for an appointment. When i was finally able to get the car into the shop for repairs, i was informed that the rotors were warped and they would need to be turned down. I agreed to the repair and 8 days later i was able to pick my car up. Within 5000 miles of the repair i was back in the shop with the same complaint. However, after several attempts at trying to schedule an appointment with the original dealership, i was forced to contact a new dealership for repairs. I was told the same as before and agreed to have the rotors turned again. Please keep in mind that nothing was mentioned about the condition of the pads. 1000 miles later and i was returning to the dealership with the same complaint. Rotors turned and again no mention of the brake pads. 1000 miles later yet again, i was in for the same complaint, this time i had brake failure prior to returning to the dealership. This time the rotors were checked for specs at my request and it was found that 3 of the 4 were below specs. Again no mention of the brake pad condition. I made it almost 8000 miles before i had to return for the same problem. This time i was told that i needed new brake pads and that was the cause of the brake problem.

Premature wear of brake rotors are causing vehicle to pulsate and vibrate. Dealer has replacedrotors, butproblem has reoccurred. Feel free to provide any further information.

There is a clunk/rattle/thump coming from the rear end, through the driveshaft.the power window on the passenger side sticks when going down and is slow when going up.the horn has been replaced once for a moisture problem, now is having same problem:also, the horn button on steering wheel doesn't work 100% of the time.next, the owner's manual doesn't advise when the change rear axle fluid.lastly, the power steering pump leaks fluid.the cap was replaced once, then it was adjusted.i still have a problem with power steering fluid spewing from under the cap.

Class t-top flew off vehicle at 70 mph due to a broken latch. Dealer has been notified.the dealer says the latch broke when it hit the ground, but the consumer believes it was defective.

While traveling over 60 mph vehicle would start shaking hard. Please provide further information.

The vehicle has experienced continued problems with the front end suspension pulling to the right, this has caused excessive wear of the tires (no make/model of tires provided), dealership has tried to remedy the suspension problems on several occasions and changed tires, however they can not figure out what the problem is, which could be the suspension system or the tires. *mjs

At speeds between 30-40 mphfront end shakes. Took vehicleto dealerwho rotated tires. Front tires were cupped. The dealer was unwilling to fix the vehicle.

The vehicle experienced problems with the front end pulling to the right, even when you turn to the left there was no response causing the vehicle to veer off the road and hit utilities and an embankment, consumer injured neck/ back, and chest .also 3 days prior to this accident the traction control system failed while driving 40 (in a 55 zone) while raining, consumer went into a skid and ran off the road but there was no property damage.headlights have repeatedly dimmed/flickered when applying brakes or coming up steep hills since the purchase of this car.

This car has had front end shakes at 30-45 mph from about 3000 miles, dealers/reliable chev/mo, says nothing wrong, did not test drive!now car really shakes bad and front tires are all lumpy and cupped, went to local chevy dealer and he refused to even come out and acknowledge the problem, let alone fix it,original dealer is 150 miles away, and jus told us if we don't like the car, trade it in!!i would like to finally enjoy this car after a year or have it replaced! i even paid for extended coverage from the dealer and chevy! but no one will fix it! i am afraid to drive it 150 miles..what if the tires explode, fall off, or part of the steering gives way? also the conve top has had a screw sticking up from the inside all along, and i was told oh well.?!

Engine misfires, service engine check light comes on, smell of rotten eggs, tapping noise

Oil pressure gauge is erratic.

Transmissionwasn't shifting into 1st and 2nd gears.engine would race up to 4,000rpms. Vehicle couldn't be driven onhighway.dealer found a foreign object clogging2nd clutch. Consumer also states brakes have been repaired 3 times and they are still squeaking to this date ,the stereo and cd player were defective and had to be replaced, which the cd player is still not working.

When taking the manual transmission out of third gear the computer cannot find the idle speed , so the engine fluctuates rpms anywhere from 850 rpm to stalling. It does this repeatedly. This was discovered when turning a corner, taking it out of third and losing all power after the engine stalled. The dealership cannot fix the problem and has advised the manufacturer.

Engine idles very eratically. Head lights dim on braking-inside dash and radio lights flicker-shifts into 1st gear harsh-voltage drops in the red causing car to almost stall-when turning on air conditioner there is a load whinning noise- car runs eractic on startup-locked up in reverse once-car shakes while driving-clicking noise in the dash-have been to shop over and over for these problems- first it was nothing,then the serp.,belt,then the alternator,now it is my radio causing these problems (so i am told) car still not fixed. As for the exhaust one of the pipes was popping and cracking, this was replaced. (tiresize: 235-55r16)

Upon startup on a random basis,vehicle lurches forward as ifvehicle was not in park.please provide any additional information/attachments.

Air vents fail to blow every time vehicle is driven over 40 to 50 mph. You can hear the air blowing, but it is going somewhere other than inside car.

Right as my warranty ran out, the driver's side power window motor went out, blinkers work sporatically, headlights go off sometimes at night, window(s) leak sometimes during rain, alarm locks and unlocks itself while driving, numerous other electrical problems.

Re various defects on 2000 chevrolet camaro. When the consumer's son started the vehicle and turned the wheel he noticed that the top part of the steering wheel had separated from the bottom half.the vehicle was repaired under warranty.the lock assembly fell out of the driver's door twice.the park lamps and lens had to be replaced because they were leaking.the mirror on the driver's side malfunctioned.

Side mirror ondriver's door disconnected frommounting ondoor. Dealership stated that this was the result of a factory defect in this mirror.please provide any additional information/attachments.

T-top shattered while driving down the road.there was no object that hit the t-top.we were riding along a road that had grooved pavement due to road contruction.the glass shattered into millions of little pieces onto the driver.minor cuts were the only injury.

Windshield was replaced by a private company due to crack caused by rock. Replacement windshield however, is defective due to distortion in lower part of windshield. This presents a visual problem at times primarily when turning vehicle. Windshild place which installed it has tried to get me another replacement, but to no avail. At this time it appears all replacement windshields for this model are distorted at the bottom. There was no distortion in the original windshield.please advise. Thank you,[xxx].
