Vehicle stopped running at 65 mph. Dashboard lights did not come on. On the side of the road (where i was able to pull off the highway) it finally re-started.i brought the vehicle home. When i attempted to make another trip, the same thing happened.i was less than a mile from my home. I eventually was able to restart.the final outcome was that the ignition switch was the problem.i called the dealership and they advised me that my vehicle was not part of the recall.i believe that it should be included in the recall for gm vehicles. My truck is a 6.5 liter diesel.which may be the reason it was not included in the recall. I believe this is a factory defect and should be included in the recall.

In wet conditions while driving 35 mph had a direct frontal impact, and the driver's airbag did not deploy, which did not protect the occupant.

While driivng vehicle faulty fuel injection system caused engine to quit, fuel injection system has been replaced 6 times, but problem remains. Cause unknown. Also the battery was replaced.

Engine shuts off at stop signs and traffic lights whenslowing down. Took to dealer, and they can't duplicate problem.consumer stated that it could be critical if someone rear ended consumer.

Upon numerous occasions, truck engine stops as if the switch has been cut off,of course it hasn`t.the last time, 11/02/99, the truck would not start back,as it had in the past.however after calling a wrecker,and waiting about 30 minutes, it crank with no problem and performed perfectly.drove to repair shop, cumputer analizer showed no problem.truck always stops at a low speed, 5 to 20 mph. A spare tire locted underneath vehicle isfalling off due to broken cablewhichwas holding the sparetire.manufacturer notified and refused to repair or replace.

Bed of truck coming off due to spot welds breaking.

When driving in snowy weather using high beams, snow covers low beams, because low beams are not in use there's no heat to melt snow,therefore when driver switches from high beam to low beam, driver cannot see through the snow covered lenses.

Low beams do not have a heating system to keep snow off, causing poor visibility.

I am the original owner ofa 1995 chevrolet ck2500 4 x 4 truck with the 6.5 liter diesel engine.due to lift pump failure, the truck dies with no warning. The lift pump has been replaced 3 times (currently at repair shop for this again). The dealer hasreplaced it with a new lift pump supposedly each time, but i was not shown or given the old lift pump. There is a major safety factor involved with this part failure/design. The truck has died 2 out of 3 times in heavy traffic. The'95 chevy truck is used to pull a horse trailer. I am to the point i am afraid to pull the horse trailer loaded with our horses with this chevy truck.i can only imagine what could happen when you have a trailer behind this truck when the lift pump starts going out and you try to steer without power steering or power brakes,because the truck has quit. I founda gm technical service bulletin #77-63-06ab on the internetin regards to a "fix" for this. This article also states the potential danger of this failure such as pulling into heavy traffic or descending a steep hill and losing the use of power steering and power brakes.

I have had nothing but problems with my 1995 chevrolet c-2500 pickup with the 6.5 turbo diesel engine. There is a major design flaw with the pump mounted driver and injection pump. The pump mounted driver is mounted tom the injection pump and the heat from both the pump and engine is destroying the driver. When the driver fails the engine will quit at any speed and you have complete loss of brakes,power steering, was pulling a trailer last time my pump driver failed and luckily was not going up or down a hill because i had to use the electronic trailer brakes to stop my truck injection pump is also a known issue with these engines and the replacement is over 1200 dollars. Gm extended the war for these two parts to 11 years or 120k. Unfortunately almost all of the trucks were past the war period due to millage.these are diesel trucks and rack up a lot of miles.my truck is a 1995 but is over the mileage limit.gm needs to extend the millage part of the warr to help owners keep their cars on the road, and not have to pay for gm's design flaw.i have spent close to 3000 just by replacing these two parts several times.there are several message board for the 6.5l turbo diesel discussing this issue.( thedieselpage.com,dieselplace.com) many vendors have started to make kits that move the pump driver off the pump and out the engine valley to a location that has more airflow and include a heat sink to help keep the temps down.this driver is nothing more than 2 resistors but cost over $500.

Bolts which hold driveshaft bracket come loose and fell out, allowing driveshaft to misalign and slide sideways

Anti-lock brakes failed, causing two vehicle accidents.

Abs computer system has an undetermined malfunction which causes only the front brakes to lock up, cause unknown. Dealer replaced the computer system , which did not remdey the problem.please give any further details.

1995 chevrolet 2500 pick-up tailgate cable broke.

While driving, goodyear tire p245/75r16 se experienced tread separaton on right rear, managed to pull to the over, failure caused damage to vehicle, dot pj11d5lv2897.

This happened to both rear tires within two weeks of each other 9/27/00 and 10/12/00.tread flew off at hwy speeds.contacted manufacturer, who gave me a bogus number to call.i have email saved if you wish to view my email to them and their response passing the buck to sears/ntb (with a bogus number, no less).these occurrences damaged our company truck.we do not feel that it is "just a coincidence". This may not be a complaint, more of a question.several of our truck drivers load materials sticking out of the rear of the truck by 3-4-5 feet without attaching a red/orange warning flag.i've looked through your website without finding the proper legal limit for such overloading without warning flags.can you help.

The contact owns a 1995 chevrolet c2500. While driving at approximately 55 mph, the driver took his foot off the accelerator pedal but the vehicle suddenly accelerated. The driver turned off the ignition but the vehicle continued accelerating until he applied the brakes. He kept experiencing the problem until he took the vehicle in for service. The current and failure mileages were approximately 120,000. The vin was unavailable.

Windshield wipers quit working in the middle of operation. After a period of time the wipers begin to work again. The problem was reported to the dealership. The wipers could not be replaced free of charge because truck was not included in recall. The circuit board in the wiper motor has been replaced by owner.

When hauling cattle on the freeway, a sudden downpour hit, we could not see and the wipers did not work. There was quite a lot of trafficand we were very lucky to be able to pull over safely and not cause any accidents.the wipers had quit before and our mechanic said to tap the motor to loosen any dirt, that helped but was not a cure.we replaced the motor the end of april, 1999.
