Intermittently vehicle is hard to start,and has a poor throttle response and poor acceleration.the dealer has repaired the vehicle and the problem stills exists.
While driving on i-95 in my 1994 chevrolet c2500 with the 6.5 l naturally aspirated diesel, my truck suddenly stalled and i lost all my engine powered components (power steering, brakes, etc.) i pushed on the brake pedal very hard but was barely slowing down. I finally got the truck slowed down enough to get off on the shoulder of the freeway. I then had to sit there for 30 minutes to allow the pump mounted driver to cool down before i could turn around and garage my vehicle. It happened several (5-10) times over the course of a 30 mile trip. I have seen many instances of the same thing happening to other 6.5l diesel owners. This is unacceptable. Something needs to be done about the pump mounted drivers (pmds) on this engine. They overheat and cause the engine to fail. I will be replacing the pmd on my engine and that will take care of the problem. This could have caused a major accident if i would have needed to brake suddenly while my engine was stalled. It
Gmc and chevrolet trucks have a problem which allows them to completely shut off when driving at full speed.mine recently shut off when going 55 on a back road behind a large 18 wheeler.

There is a fuel leakage, and the fuel is getting into the engine.
Fuel injection pump failed several times, causing loss of control due to power steering and brakes lose, also engine hesitates/stalls.
An approved gm repair facility has replaced the fuel injector pump on this vehicle 5 times. It causes the truck to hesitate when accelerating and jerk severly when decelerating.i know of other vehicles of the same model that have had the same problem with these pumps.i am currently looking for another truck to purchase and cannot get a fair trade-in on this truck because of the repairs that have been unsuccessful.something needs to be done to resolve this problem with newer models if it exists and to compensate present unsatisfied owners.

The vehicle stalled out at 65mph and all power steering and power brakes went out. This was due to the vehicle needing a fuel injection pump. Dlr has replaced the pump twice. Problem still exist. Mjs

Clutch pressure plateshattered, leavingclutch in gear and not being able to disengageclutch.dealer has been notified.
Windshield wipers would not operate at various times when needed. Dealer notified not long after purchase. Could not find problem. Drive shaft broke while leaving parking lot. Glad no one hurt.
The transmission went out on our truck.it is only 5 years old, with 61,153 miles.the dealership has us contact their customer service, who in turn told us the vehicle was "too old & too many miles" for any help from them.we had a estimate from a private shop prior to taking the truck to the dealership.both places said we needed a new transmission.i don't feel like the truck is old enough or the mileage is high enough to justify the transmission going out.this truck was sold with a "work package" which included the towing kit.it has not been abused in any way.i feel like chevrolet is not standing behind their product. I hope that you are able to help us in some way.
Passenger's side seat belt won't pull out and sometimes will not retract. This is a continuous problem.
Driver's seatleft front nut plate broke, causing seat to become loose and lean to the rear.
On 5 separate occasions the bolts on the reclining seat back have broken allowing the seat back to recline to the rear on the extended cab model. Bolts first broke when the vehicle was 18 mo. Old with 14000 mi. The fifth break was at 5 years and 75000 mi.
Driver's seat will not lock at all whenapplying brakes. Driver seat goes all theway up to the front. Dealership is aware of the problem at this time. Passenger's side seat was replaceddue to a brokenbracket. Currently, driver's side has to be replaced.
While driving about between 35-40 mph the frame that supports the driver's seat broke. The seat has not been repaired. The dealer has been notified about the seat. Owner is not able to repair at this time.

The seat frame broke around the main bolt holding the seat to the body bracket, metal did not seem strong enough to hold a average male driver.this is the first time i have ever complained, and i have had numerous chevy trucks.

Anti lock brakes have failed twice resulting in two vehicle collision.
Frontbrakes warped. Pads had worn excessively and rotors would overheat & then warp. When brakes were applied, itwould cause the vehicle to shimmy & pull.brakes rotors & pads had either been changed or resurfaced at dealership. The back brakes are working fine.

Motor mounts broken off from frame with several other fatigue cracks in frame which caused exhaust manifold to break. Mjs
While driving the tread portion of the goodyear load range e tire separated causing the truck to pull to the right, consumer lost control of the vehicle resulting in rollover, one person was ejected (not wearing seat belt) which resulted in fatality and one passenger was injured during accident.tires purchased on may 5, 1996 with only 27,602 miles of wear. There was smoke coming from the vents due to an electrical short. Dealer has vehicle now.
Windshield wipersaren't working at all, and that is a safety defect.
Dt: the contact states that1994 chevrolet c 2500 silverado has a problem with the windshield wipers. The windshield wipers will work and stop in the middle of a cycle. Then,has to wait a couple of minutes before they will come again. There is a recall on the windshield wipers, but the contact's vehicleis not included in therecall due to vin.the contactcalled gm, and theytoldhim that he was not included in the recall. Also, spoke with his local dealer, and the dealer informed him of the same thing, he was not included in the recall due to vin.the contact has not had thewindshield wipers fixed as of yet.

The module for the windshield wiper has failed, causing wipers to work intermittently, wiper motor has been replaced, however the problem has not been remedied.

Windshieldwipers do not work sometimes and do at other times. Recently, in a heavy rain on the highway the windshield wipers did not come on when activated. After a minute or two they sometimes come on. Other times they may work perfectly.the chevrolet dealership said there was a recall for my year model and a common problem for this vehicle but my model did not qualify for the repair due to vin.this is very dangerous situation, and i have had to pull over on occasion, especially when my family is in the vehicle because i could not see to continue driving. Any help on the situation would be greatly appreciated .
