Starter failed.
Fan clutch failed.
I started having problems shortly after buying this vehicle and it has been in the shop every 6 to 8 months ever since.to this date i have had 15 heater cores, 2 radiators, all hoses, 1 motor, and 2 sets of glow plugs replaced.each time a component fails i get the truck back with the dealership telling me that they "fixed" the problem now and i won't be coming back.since it takes 6 to 8 months for the problem to recur i am now stuck with a lemon vehicle that continues to have the same problem from day one and is now out of waranty.

Radiator failed.
Radiator, whichwas made out of plastic for a heavy duty vehicle, malfunctioned every 3 years.has been replacedtwice.please provide further information and vin#.
Fuel supply switch failed, causing vehicle to stall.
Recall repair on the bench seat can not be completed due to lack of parts.
Recall on the bench seat bolts, however work not performed due to lack of parts.
Recall 95v24600; martin chevrolet said that the vehicle meets the recall, but the work had not been done and ms. Garuer is having the problem that is in the recall description, and the manufacturer continues to send a notice, stating that the recall work needs to be taken care off.
New bolt installed during recall repair broke on driver side seat back.
While driving in rainy or dry conditions, and if two of the wheels are on the dirt and two on the pavement, andconsumer applies the brakes,they go to the floor, and consumer can hear the abs kick in, but thevehicle will not stop.
Brake calipers failed.
Brake rotors failed.
Rear brake drums failed.
Rear end seals failed.

While driving there isvibration which may cause a loss of vehicle control.took to chevrolet dealer.dealer stated it was bad tire, and one of the tires had a bulge in it.went to a tire place and they confirmed what dealer said.also, indicatedthatwheels of the truck were defective. Dealer found one of the tires to have sidewall/tread separation.dot#mk11jnhv449 - goodyear workhorse tires.
This is not my personal vehicle, i work for an insurance company handling a claim in which two of our insured's employees were injured after losing control of their vehicle when the tread separated from the tire.a police report confirms this is how the incident occurred.i am reporting this as i am aware of these incidences ocurring with the steeltex, yet it is not part of the recall. Pe00 020; consumer was traveling about 70mph onhighway andheard a loud noise becausetread was hitting up againtvehicle.he was able to pull over to the shoulders.there were two incidents, second incident was onright rear tire, andfirst incident was on left rear tire where tread had separated. Tires were bridgestone, firestone, 2657516, duller#ht.there were no injuries reported.
Inspection found cracks to the hitch platform.the receiver (hitch platform) was factory installed when new.consumer tows a 34 foot airstream travel trailer.

Intermittently windshield wipers become inoperable obstructing the driver views. Dealer sorry there is no recall on this vehicle. Please provide further information.
Windshield wipers would not turn off.turning the motor off was the only way toturn them off.the windshield wipers came on by themselves and will not stop, when they do stop they do not return to park.*tc

Windshield wipers come on intermittently without prior warning. Dealership is aware of problem.
Intermittently windshield wiper circuit board malfunctions, causing windshieldwipers not to work,affecting visibility, especially at night,and mayresult in a crash.
Windshield wipers work intermittently. This can result in inoperative windshieldwipers, reducing driver's visibility, and increasingrisk of a vehiclecollision.dealer / manufacturer were notified, and informed consumer that vehicle was not covered under a recall.
