While about (70) mph on the interstate the alternator bracket broke,causing the belt to come off the engine,limiting steering and braking. Vehicle repaired at dealer.
Starter mounting bolts sheared off, allowing wiring harness to ground out on exhaust pipe, creating sparks when starter was still engaged.
The diesel engine would stop in traffic. Would not reengage or start. After resting for 2 days or so, vehicle can be restarted. Have taken to dealer who was informed not to repair injector pump if vehicle starts while being repaired. The problem still exists.

When pulling out from stop andgiving vehicle gas, it will stall and sometimes it will quit,like once at an inter section. Consumer took to dealer ,and they worked on it. But did not resolve the problem , problem occurred 5 to 6 times since owner bought vehicle brand new.

Received a recall notice in the mail regarding the brake switchc-98065-s. Dealership unable to repair problem.

Consumer states on first occasion, brakes worked fine and then all the sudden pedal almost went to the floor, front brakes kept consumer from causing accident, dealer stated problem was with the master cylinder leaking, dealer installed new master cylinder, consumer states now the pedal feels very soft, the rear wheel cylinder has also had to be replaced.o ring blew out.

I purchase this vehicle new.automatic transmission quit shifting into 3-4 on 3-20-05.transmission required rebuild.upon disassembly i discovered the 3-4 accumulator pump spring was not installed in the transmission so the 3-4 gears have been running over volume and pressure from day one leading to eventual failure.new part will be purchased and installed.

Began to park, depressing clutch to no effect with truck staying in gear.would not go into neutral.kept moving with breaks on and clutch depressed.found master cylinder for clutch broken and leaking fluid.bought new master cylinder only to find notice in box if part was broken where it was cracked gm had technical letter out and cylinder warranty would not be honored.turns out to save the cost of a greas zerck no point of lubrication was provided for the fork arm ball which leads to failure.cost to have 85 cent grease zerck installed by gm dealer is $500 dollars.the fork is another $1000 as quoted by dealer.
Consumer brought in vehicle to dealer on june 3, had appointment that day, waited three hours until was told that dealer had no parts. Consumer had to drive 50 miles for this appointment to be told therewere no parts available.
Driver's side seat belt cut by rubbing on trim cover at anchor.there isn't enough clearence between trim and the belt which has caused the belt to rub a slot in the trim cover, and also cutting the belt from rubbing on the same spot.

1994, chevrolet c1500 extended cab pu with electric seats. Front left seat mount broke as i climbed into seat. I was lucky i was not driving.still trying to fix it so part is still on truck.

I contacted the dealership first, they then referred me to customer assistance where i was informed that there had been a recall for this problem late last year and that my vehicle was not included in it.i also informed them that i had received a recall notice and when i took the vehicle up to green chevrolet (currently american chevrolet) they told me that they couldn't fix the problem because at that time the seat was operating correctly.
Owner states that metal bracket that holds driver's seat in place keeps breaking because there is not enough strength for it to hold in place .he also notes that while braking speed down from 60mph the metal bracket breakes.

Owner changedbrakes after 93000 original miles. Front pads were worn down to were they needed replacement, but when the rear drums were pulled, the shoes showed no glazing or wear other than when the parking brake was not released. The shoes appear to be brand new and can get another 80,000 plus miles. It appears the wheel cylinders are not working or the brakes were not adjusted correctly from the factory

Firestone wide track baja tires are developing cracks all around the tread area nearcasings of the tire.spare tire is not a firestone. Tires are not originial equipment. Tires are on a 1994, chevrolet, c1500. Size p235/75r15 with 40,922 miles. The dot code is vdhl.
In september 1998 i purchased two firestone fr410 replacement tires for my truck.in july 1999 i purchased two more of these tires to provide a complete set of the same tires for my truck.in july 2000 i replaced two of the firestone tires due to internally separating tread.in september 2000 i replaced a third firestone tire due to internally separating tread.all of these tires were properly inflated per chevrolet's instructions.all of these tires failed well before the 50,000 mile warranty and well before tread wear indicators suggested they be replaced.given that 3 of the 4 firestone fr410 tires i purchased have had internally separating tread, i am requesting that the firestone fr410 tire be added to the current list of firestone tires being recalled.i have never had tires of any kind exhibit this type of poor and unsafe performance.i am fortunate that no accidents occurred due to a catastrophic tire failure.i urge you to please consider this tire model for the recall.i should note that the dot number on the tires indicates they were made in firestone's decatur, il plant.that facility has some serious design, production, or quality control problems which need to be addressed.( dot number: vdhl41a207 tire size: p235/75r15 )
Throttle cable sticking while driving.i was driving and passing another vehicle when i pressed the gas to pass it stuck to the floor unable to brake had to drive off road to avoid accident iput the truck in neutral in order to come to a stop the rpms continued to stay high pass 5000 rpms for several minutes i then turn the truck off waited started it a few minutes later and the rpms immediately raised again to 500 rpms i then turn the truck off again and waited longer.when i did start it again it acted like nothing had ever happened. This has happened several times in the last several weeks.

I checked with a chevrolet dealer and was told there a recall was issued for other gm vehicles with the same problem as mine, but my vehicle was not on the recall list. The problem is the wiper control printed circuit board which i replaced. The failure of this circuit board is a dangerous failure of an inportant safety system of this vehicle.ak

1994 chevy c1500 pick up - windshield wipers function on and off or not at all by them selves. You cannot depend on them working at any giventime. The dealers said my truck was not part of nhtsa recall # 03v159000 even though it has the same problems. The dealership wants up to $400.00 to fix problem.
