In march of 2010, my drivers side brake light went out but the bulb still lit up. It is a dual filament bulb, one for tail lights and the other for brake/turn signal. My mechanic investigated and the issue was a faulty switch for the brake light. This is a part that can only be purchased from the dealer. No aftermarket switches/circuit boards are available. The whole circuit board must be replaced. Again on 9/1/12, i was notified that both my brake lights are out. I called general motors and went to my local dealership only to be told my vehicle is not under a recall. I researched and found recall: 01073 issued by general motors for the exact issue my vehicle is having which was expanded to include more vehicles but still not mine. Gm is profiting from selling these dealer only parts when they fail aside from saving money by not issuing the recall to all affected vehicles.

August 24, 2008, myself and my three daughters headed to church traveling along 91n in ct to exit 35 when another passenger car waived at us to get off the exit - not knowing why we got off the exit any way since that's the one we needed and as we slowed down an abundance of smoke came from the front of the car - i pulled over and the gentlemen continued to waive at us - not known to me why until we got out of the car and saw flames brewing under the car...immediately i sought after my children to get to a safe distance and called 911 - state trooper was at exit 33 so he arrived quickly however front of car already had flames coming up towards windshield - front of car was covered with flames before fire truck arrived (pictures available) - insurance company had inspection completed and according to the inspection (report available) reference was made to the point of origin being the electrical system...outside of emotional distress (seeking therapy) no physical injuries occurred.this fire left me without a vehicle and as a real estate agent my vehicle is everything...this vehicle also was our family car.

When driver stepped onbrakes allrear lights failed to illuminate ( driver took vehicle to the dealership, and was informed by the mechanic thatrear electrical systemshorted out.

Rear lower brake lights don't work on 2002 chevrolet blazer, took to dealer to have defective multifunction switch replaced p/n 26100837, dealer would not replace per doc. 2150557 #01073b product safety recall because s/n was not included in recall, cost of repair $445.45.

My brake lights went out. The third brake light. As i owed a 2001 gmc jimmy that had the same problem that was covered under a recall i knew that the multifunction switch in the steering column was the problem. I went to my local chev dealership (koehne chev) in marinette wi. They said there was no recall one my vehicle. I asked about the three tsb and they said they don't have to do anything with a tsb. I know this is a ongoing and a safety issue (no brake lights). The part number on the switch that i took out is 26096832. There has to be hundreds of thousands of gm vehicles with these switches in them with the potential fatal accidents waiting to happen!!!

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled and the low fuel and security warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the fuel pump was replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 169,272.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving behind this vehicle, it was noticed that the brake lights were inoperable.the vehicle was not inspected by the dealership.updated 10/25/2006 - the brake light would not work unless the consumer holds/jiggles the hazard switch to the side.

I have a 2002 chevrolet blazer. The hazard lights and the brake lights on the body quit working. The brake light over the hatch still worked. The turn signals also were not affected.i checked fuses and light bulbs but both were fine. When i turned on the hazard lights there was a clicking sound coming out of my speaker, like there was a short in the wiring. I'm glad it didn't start a fire.i then did an online search for possible solutions to the problem and came across some recalls on my model describing the same problem. When i called chevrolet they said that mine was not on any of the recall lists. I had to take it to the local chevy dealer and they had to replace the multifunction switch which is what the recalls were for. I'm not sure why mine was not included either the original recall or the subsequent ones. I do feel that if there were any issues with this model they should have at least sent a warning letter. If someone hadn't told me that the brake lights were out i would have never known.

Consumer'smother in law's vehicle had an electrical fire and burned up.flames were shooting out of the driver's side door. The vehicle also experienced a lot of fuse blowouts. The power mirror switch failed and caused the fire.*nlm

While driving vehicle has an electrical system failure. This causes several components to be inoperative, exp,. Heater, defroster, cruise control etc,.

While driving at night the head lights went out.the driver took the vehicle to the dealer for analysis.the mechanic was unable to duplicate the problem.*sc

The contact had to disconnect the battery in order to shut the vehicle off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who replaced the ignition switch. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 241,000.

Vehicle shuts off while driving and/or won't start from time to time. Electrical component has been replaced but it was discovered to be the wrong part.it was later replaced after rear wind shield wiper wouldn't start. To date the problem has reoccurred.dt

Electrical failure--pulled in to get some gas, after restarting vehicle i had no radio,no dash lights for gear selector or mileage, fuel guage did not work or temp gauge did not work, cruise control did not work, cigarette lighter did not work. Seems to have a pause when transmission shifts sometimes. We need a recall on the electrical system, seems to be a lot of electrical promlems with this vehicle.

Consumer states. Intermittenly head lamps, radio, windshiel wiper. And doors become innoperable obstructing the drivers views. Dealer has inspected seven times replaced instrumental panel switch. And the problem is reocurring.

While driving and upon making right or left turns, there was a clanking noise in the steering.the vehicle jumped lanes with no warning or help from the driver.the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the problem recurred. *sc

The intake manifold gasket is leakingthe intake manifold gasket was leaking on my chevrolet silverado last year i have been told by 4 ase certified mechanics that chevrolets have extremely too many intake manifold gasket leaking problems because of the dexron antifreeze and the gaskets they used.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. The contact stated that while his sister was driving at 20 mph, the engine cooling fan exploded and there was smoke. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was driven to the contact's sister's residence. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The contact's brother inspected the vehicle and determined that the radiator and the fan needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired by her brother. The manufacturer was not contacted and was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

Why does this work on my 1999 chevy & not my 2002 chevy?

While driving 55 mphvehicle stalled.

While driving, the temperature gauge spiked and the check gauges light came on. One of the bolts that holds the thermostat housing to the manifold had sheared off due to bolt brittleness. This caused a serve loss of coolant and the remainder of the thermostat housing bolts to become broken off in the intake manifold. Resulting in a repair of at least $1,000 due to having to replace the manifold. The shop was only able to extract one broken bolt from the manifold. This vehicle is a lemon. We have replaced everything on it, some things more than once including the engine, transmission, and multiple radiators all under 75,000 miles. We have replaced the gas cap to the radiator cap and even the windshield too. This will be the second intake manifold as the engine had to be replaced 5 years ago due to failure of the head gasket due to a faulty gm design on engines made between 2000 and 2004 and dexicool coolant issues.

I have had to replace the intake manifold gasket on 3 chevrolets in the past 3 three years today being the the third. If there is a problem with the gaskets or coolant <dexcool> the repair should be done at no cost to the consumer

The heater and defroster failed to generate heat.no events leading up to failure.this fall when we needed the heat and window defroster just luke warm air was coming out.the intake hose to the heater was hot the out take hose was cold.this failure causes a major safety issue because the front window will not un-fog and the ice and snow will not melt off the front window.the driver can not see out of the front window.there is no warning to this problem. Research this problem on the web and there are numerous other people and vehicles with the same problem.it appears to be caused dex-cool coolant.this web site http://www.geocities.com/b_gillie/dexcool_problems.html has more information on this problem.

Defect in engine oil cooling lines-crimping on end of hose, malfunctioning causing oil leak.

The engine stalled without warning, which caused the consumer to pull over abruptly. . the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the problem. The consumer stated at one point transmission fluid leaked onto the ground.

Original camshaft position sensor replaced-- was seeping oil and saturating wiring, causing vehicle to stall.replacement sensor is now malfunctioning in the same manner.dealer is replacing again.

After engine has warmed up, there is a constant enging/tapping/rattle noise similar to the sound that bad lifters make.this sound is prevalent under all conditions and more pronounced on acceleration.i brought it to the dealership several times and they indicated it was a normal sound per detroit.detroit has a document id#843248 that addresses this problem.i complained to gm and they have extended the warranty on the engine to 100,000 miles or 11/27/07 whichever comes first.i am still not satisfied as the noise is consistent and an irritant.i have looked at your site for other similar complaints and do not see any.there must be a mechanical fix to this problem but it is being ignored.the engine sound has increased since it was first noticed indecember, 2002 and reported to the dealership.

Consumer stated while drivingat any speed and with no warning vehicle shut off, causing consumer to pull off the road. Dealer has inspected the vehicle several times, and could not duplicate or correct the problems.

Immediately following purchase of a 2002 chevrolet blazer in august 2002, i noticed a loud roaring noise coming from under the hood which occured mostly upon startup when engine was cold and put into drive gear.this noise was also intermittently noticed after coming to a stop and then accelerating.by the time i drove it back to the dealership, it was not doing it.since purchase, 2 replacement batteries have been installed.service dept at dealership said alternator was draining the battery and replaced the alternator.car is still doing this but dealer is unable to duplicate and saying loud roar is most likely normal.now several acquaintances have said they had the exact same problem with their blazers even though they were a different year model.once the warranty runs out, this problem could add up to quite an expense.

Dt*: the contact stated after parking the vehicle for a few minutes, the vehicle would not restart.when the key was turned in the ignition the engine would not turn over but only made a whining noise.the vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop, upon inspection the engine had seized.the timing chain had fractured, the sparks plugs had melted and the pistons had failed.the dealer and manufacturer were alerted.

The check engine light illuminated, and then the vehicle lost all power.

Consumer states that the vehicle would stalls intermittently at muliple speed without warning. Dealer inspected the vehicle and determied the fuel pump is failing. Feel free to provide any further information.

Vehicle completely shut down while i was driving on highway 684 in new york at 65 mph in the left lane. I had no power steering, no accelleration and no power brakes with 3 children in the car.

Noticed noise; have taken to dealers 8 times and they can not fine the cause of noise; now gm representive anthony teta says it is inherit design problem; rox covert told me he would fix it, replace it or give me my money back - pickup it up 5/20 and because it didn't make the sound returned to me.i do not want to put up with this noise, i'm tired of the run around, and very disappointed with my first new vehicle purchase that covert, chevrolet or gmc will not try to right this problemed vehicle.please help me if you can.

While driving my trailblazer the engine failed as i was stoping for a red light. Luckily there were no cars near me and i was able to safely bring the car to a stop and force it to the curb. After about 15 minutes i was able to re-start the engine and i drove it to the dealership. They inspected the car, called chevrolet with their diagnosis and were immeadiately informed by chevrolet to the amazment of the serivce manager at the dealership that a new engine was needed. It seems they knew that a new engine was needed so quickly as this is a major problem. A search on your web site and the trailblazer forum at edmunds.com shows that this is a wide spread problem. It is apparent that gm has knowingly placed "defective" engines in the 2002 trailblazer. What would have happended if my engine failed on the highway going 70 miles an hour? the nhtsa must address this situation before people die from this. This has all the makings of another ford pinto fiasco.

Ever since i bought this vehicle i have had nothing but trouble with it. Since i have bought it in july it has been in the shop for approx. 10 times. The first day i brought it home it would not go into reverse. Needless to say it already has a new transmission. I have also had problems with the rear middle seat belt locking up and making it impossible to wear. I have brougt this problem up to the dealer several times and they have even replaced all of the seat belts, but it still persists. I have now been told that it is because of infant seats, however how can this vehicle be suited for five passengers when in reality it can only hold four. Another problem i have had with this vehicle is the heater blower failed to work. I brought my vehicle back to the shop and they replaced it. I have also had problems with the4wd system switching between 2hi. The dealer has installed a new switch as well, so the problem has been solved. One of my newest concerns is randomly when i start the vehicle in the morning the engine revs up really loud. The loud noise gets even louder when you accelerate the vehicle. When bringing in this problem to the shop they said that it is the fan clutch and that it is normal. I find this hard to believe. People that hear the noise are in disbelief that a new vehicle can make such a noise. I also am having a concern with squeaky breaks in the front end. The shop states that semimetallic brakes will make some noise at times. In all of the cars i have owned i would have never thought that a 2002 would have squeaky brakes and that it would be normal and unable to fix. I am very concerned about this vehicle and i question how reliable and safe we are driving it. Gm will not help me in replacing this vehicle so i guess my next step is the attorney general.

I m buying a 2002 chevrolet blazer now the emission exhaust system has begun to let outdust heat out of the air vent. And making my head hurt andbody hurt.the warranty said that it is the emissions control system warranty.

There was a bad smell coming from the vehicle, and the windshield wipers were inoperative.

While driving, dirt and dust particles come through the ventilation system.the exhaust system and catalytic converters is backing up through the air and heat ventilation system. This problem was due to the vehicle being rear ended

I've had the blazer for one year and the fuses keep blowing taking out all dash information.i've had it in the shop three different occasions so far and the mechanic can't pin point the problem..(in other words they like to make you look as if your lying)my warranty does cover for them to look at it.but its time off work and inconvenience that it is causing that doesn't seem to matter to them..cheverolet don't want to work out anything to resolve this matter..

Consumer states, vehicle has a flat tire, while jacking up the vehicle jacks bend and vehicle fails. Please provide further information.ts

Loss of stop lamps and rear hazard lamps could fail to warn a following driver that the vehicle is braking and/or is stopped and could result in a crash. Took vehicle to chevy dealer service, problem was identified to be the same as vehicle recall 01073b but it was determined that vehicle was not included with recall number 01073b. Why? the loss of stop lamps and rear hazard lamps could fail to warn a following driver that the vehicle is braking and/or is stopped and could result in a crash. Nhtsa campaign id number: 08v231000 and nhtsa action number: rq08001.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. The contact stated that the hazard and brake lights failed to function. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the multi function switch on the steering column was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v231000 ( exterior lighting). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 137,702.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer.while driving at an unknown speed, the multifunction switch located in the steering column, which controls the hazard lights and brake lights, failed.the contact took her vehicle to the dealer and they informed her of nhtsa campaign id number 01v364000 (exterior lighting:brake lights:switch).the vehicle was repaired under recall.the contact later received a phone call informing her that general motors denied the claim.she called general motors and they stated that her vehicle was not included in the recall.the failure mileage was 82,000.

I called chevrolet (1-800-630-2438) about a recall on 2000-2002 chevrolet blazer id#08v231000. Exterior lighting: brake lights: switch. I told them my 2002 blazer brake lights, hazard lights, dash lights, tail lights, head lights, interior lights, turn signal lights were not working properly. Brake lights, turn signal lights, and hazard lights only worked when you push red hazard pop-up button to the left and hold it there. Headlights, tail lights, dash lights, and interior lights were all flickering while driving. I was told this 2002 blazer was not on the recall list, as it was built on september 5, 2001.the recall ended on august 20, 2001. I have researched this recall, and found it to be the difference between brass contacts and copper contacts in the multi-function switch. Also the grease used in the switch. I asked them if i had it repaired, and found brass contacts, instead of copper contactsin the multifunction switch, if they would reimburse me for the cost of repair. I was given a case # and to get it repaired.the only i would get reimbursed was if another recall would come out in the next 12 months/ 12,000 miles which ever came first. And would strongly recommend a chevroletdealer.i don't have $600.00-$700.00 to get it repaired at a chevrolet dealer.i believe this is a factory defect, and should fixed immediately!there are more chevrolet blazers with the same multifunction switch problems, not in these recalls. Not all years are covered.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. While parked, the contact noticed that the hazard and brake lights would not illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The mechanic advised that the multi-function switch would have to be replaced. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign id number: 01v364000 (exterior lighting:hazard flashing warning lights:switch) and contacted the dealer. The dealer advised the contact that the vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

Consumer's vehicle experienced the same problem asstated in nhtsa recall 01v364000. Sport utility vehicles.the multi function switch could develop an open circuit condition that results in the stop lamps and the rear hazard lamps becoming inoperative.the center high mounted stop lamp and turn signal functions are not affected. Dealership indicated consumer's vehicle not included in the recall due to vin.

In march of 2010, my drivers side brake light went out but the bulb still lit up. It is a dual filament bulb, one for tail lights and the other for brake/turn signal. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 01v364000 and 08v231000 (exterior lighting). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 94,224.

I have a 2002 chevrolet blazer with brake lights and flashers that do not work. The center brake light and turn signals work ok. There is a recall for this same problem description but i was told that my vin number is not covered by it. The problem i have and the recall problem are identical. Is there any way i can plead my case?

I drove to autozone on west colonial dr and had my vehicle computer diagnosed which produced a code that stated(stop lamp & rear hazardous lamp failure)there is a recall on certain 2002 chevy blazers vehicles, however my 2002 chevy blazer vin # [xxx] doesn't have this recall.chevy should implement a recall for all 2002 chevy blazers.now the dealer wants over $500 to fix this issue.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. The contact stated that the rear brake lamps stopped illuminating. The contact stated that he believed this was a safety hazard since other drivers would not be aware when he applied the brakes. The vehicle was taken to a local repair shop, who decided to replace the bulbs and inspect the wiring harness. The remedy did not repair the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number: 08v231000 (exterior lighting:brake lights:switch). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 151,000 and the current mileage was 153,000.

Brake and hazard light failure.due to a bad hazard carrier switch the brake lights fail to eliminate, along with hazard lights.it happens daily, as the part is no good. Gm forced me to pay over $500 to replace the switch- even though there was a recall.

2002 chevrolet blazer defective hazard switch. Because of faulty switch, i have no brake lights and no hazard lights. This defect is discussed on the internet. I have called chevrolet only to be told they won't cover it. This switch is mentioned in an nhtsa recall. This is a dangerous situation. The hazard switch did not wear out. How often does a person use this switch? it is a bad design.

Someone stopped me and said i had no brake lights.saw there was a recall - id01v36400 - for a hazard switch carrier replacement.had the switch fixed on october 11,2007 for $187.01 but was told that vin # was not included in the recall.contacted chevrolet and they said the vin # was not included and could not pay for the problem.in june, 2008 another recall was issued for the same problem - id 08v23100 - but vin # was still not included.have filled out the forms requesting reimbursement but nothing is being done.in the meantime, the dealership has been sold and chevrolet says nothing can be done.at time of repair the blazer only had 65,000 miles.this is the same problem that occurred in both the recalls.

My brake lights and the hazard light was found defective and repaired on november 24, 2008 at rinke chevrolet.i had to pay for the repair because the listed defect & recall for this exact problem was not listed on my vin#.i want my money refunded from chevrolet because a 2002 blazer is made the same no matter what package is included - brake light defects could cause major serious injury accidents.

I came across a 2002 chevrolet blazer ls recall #01v364000 issued on or about march 2002. I had forgotten about the recall when i had my car repaired at jim trenary chevrolet in o fallon, mo in march 2008.i later found the recall.the repair work that i paid for matched exactly what the recall was about so i asked for a refund for that work. They refused since my vin wasn't on gm's list of open recalls.what went wrong with my vehicle was what was exactly described on the recall.why wasn't my vin included?part # 26100837 was a part mentioned in the recall and it is listed on my paid invoice.

Dt:the brake lights and hazard lights were not working, there was no recall but a service bulletin. It has been fixed twice, andcurrently consumer has topay out of pocket to fix it. Called the dealership, they had no record.but went tomechanic shop, they had a record. Contacted gm, they also had it on record for the bulletin, and they contacted the dealer. This first happened about a week ago on july 10, 2005. Replaced the battery, but the brake lights and hazard lights did not work, checked the fuses, and went to repair shop the put in new switches and still did not.

When driver stepped onbrakes allrear lights failed to illuminate ( driver took vehicle to the dealership, and was informed by the mechanic thatrear electrical systemshorted out.

Consumer started the vehicle and pressed the gas pedal but the vehicle did not move. The consumer applied pressure to the accelerator, and it tooklittle whilefor the vehicle to start moving.the dealer inspected the vehicle three times and could not resolve the problem. The consumer stated the transmission made some noises, the dealer discovered some parts of the transmission were damaged, however days later the vehicle went back to not accelerating and the engine racing. I was informed by my husband, as he was following me, that my brake lights did not work.we took the vehicle to the dealership from which, i purchased the vehicle to have it checked out.they said the multi-function switch was bad and needed to be replaced.we paid $391.72to have the switch replaced.i later found out there is a recall for the same year vehicle, on the same part, with the same problems as we have experience, however the vin # of our vehicle is not included in the recall because our vehicle was manufactured at a different plant.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer.the contact stated that the brake lights stopped working.the dealer replaced the switch.the vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number 01v364000 (exterior lighting:brake lights:switch) at 924 miles.the current and failure mileages were 68,000.

Rear brake lights & third light were staying on intermit.white smoke is now coming from steering wheel after the brake light switch was replaced today.this switchshould have been to the subject prior recall of blazer brake light and multi function break light switches. According to the repair shop, the old break light switch showed a burn mark.and, i kept the old part.we just drove it home and the break lights still stayed on and the smoking started which scared me so the shop has it once again this time to replace the multi- function switch.note: that we were told by gm customer service that our blazer was a few vin numbers off the recall and wasn't effected by the break light recall..........the problem was in at the time.the repair shop is now in the process of changing out the second switch at great cost to us.

1) rear brake lights and saftey hazzard lights fail do to an open circuit caused by switch malfunction2) rear brake lights do not operate and no malfunction is displayed on instrumentation display. The loss of stop lamps and hazard lamps could fail to warn a following driver that the vehicle is braking and/or is stopped, and could result in a crash.3) had gm dealer repair hazard switch assemby. Brake lights work intermitently, can get them to work sometimes by pushing the hazard light switch on and off, but may still work on and off. Took to dealer and they were not showing any recall and would cost about $450 to replace hazard switch carrier if defective, if not it the cost would be $99.69 for labor to check it out.called gm 1-800-222-1020 and they said that it should be covered recall #01073a. The fuel pump went out. It was replaced with a brand new pump, then 4 months later there is an obvious fuel line issue. My sons 2002 blazer died while going down the street and there seems to be a leak in the fuel lines. After spending $331 for the fuel pump and now the chevy dealer wants over $200 for the fuel lines for a problem that seems to be with the truck itself. I have read numerous complaints about the fuel lines in this year and make truck with no recalls i know of to resolve the problem.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. While driving approximately 5 mph the contact noticed the fuel gauge reading fluctuating. The contact was unable to determine the accurate fuel amount that was in the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostics. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

Fuel gauge jumps from full to empty all the time regardless how much fuel is in the tank - making the gauge useless for displaying the amount of gas in the tank (same thing happens on my 2001 blazer).

99 - s-10 chevy truck and 02 chevy blazer: fuel pump quits while in motion on freeway.a safety issue luckily was able to steer on shoulder without any accident. Truck towed and fuel pump system replaced,a costly expense.

Consumer states the fuel guage is erratic and has unreliable readings. The vehicle is running out of gas and the tank no longer fills up to its correct gallon. The chevrolet manufacture is aware and looking into the problem. Please provide more information.

The chevrolet trail blazer has been in the shop twice for a fuel line defect that caused the entire contents of the gas tank to void itself. This brings up great safety concerns for my family, as well as that of the environment and other drivers. I am worried that it will happen again and start a fire resulting in loss of life.

Fuel pump cut off when it is hot while driving.

Hello,my vehicle is a 2002 chevrolet blazer, that i leased then bought. I am the only owner.on 10-13-06, i smelled gas when i walked up to the vehicle to get in.i took the blazer into mike shaw (gm dealer) at 1080 s. Colorado blvd. Denver, colorado 80246 to be checked.mike shaw found that one of the fuel lines coming out of the fuel pump was leaking gas.mike shaws service adviser (calvin scott) told me that they thought a rock hit the fuel line.the service technician (michael j. Tymitz) doing the work on the blazer showed me the leak before any repairs were made. The complete fuel pump needed to be replaced at the cost was $890.51.i asked mike shaw if gm would pay for the repair and they told me no.the vehicle is out of the factory warrant time wise, but only has 31,900 miles on it.i called gm myself and told them what happened and gm paid for the labor $437.88part of the repair. At gm i talked to amanda markham, (service request number is1-4384 25465). Chevrolet division, gm corporation, p.o.box 33170, detroit, mi. 48232-5170. Telephone number is 866-790-5600 x 11634.it seems to me if the fuel lines can be hit by rocks that a shield should be put around the fuel lines by the fuel pump. I my self, do not know if a rock hit the line or not. I would be more inclined to think if was a defected part.i know i am still out $452.63 for this repair. The possibility of a recall for this does need to be investigated. This could have been a big danger.note: i do have the old fuel pump if you need to check it.

While traveling at 55 mph fuel line fell off where fuel filter meets it. Currently, vehicle is continuously leaking fuel.

My fiance had purchased a 2002 s10 chevrolet blazer in october of 2004 because he wanted me to have something that was safe and dependable to drive. Just recently my children were driving the blazer when all of a sudden there wasn't any power from the motor. The blazer stalled and my daughter who was driving tried to restart the engine when a passing motorist yelled out to her to get out of the car that it was on fire. The entire engine compartment had caught on fire from a faulty fuel line fitting. I was unaware of a recall to replace this and needless to say i am highly upset that i had come very close to losing two of my children. A car can be replaced but my children's lives cannot. This problem needs to be brought out into the public so others will know of its possible dangers. This time i was extremely lucky, but another consumer may not be. The same exact problem occurred on my vehicle that had been previously reported by another consumer. "if the fitting becomes disconnected while the vehicle is in motion, the engine would stop due to inadequate fuel supply and cause loss of power steering assist. If an ignition source were present, fuel leakage from a disconnected fuel filter fitting could result in a fire". Well in this case the word "could" is replaced with the word "can". What does it take to get the word out that there are faulty mechanisms that can cause great bodily harm? i was never notified by the dealership nor general motors corp. That this was problematic. The vehicle is beyond repairs. I am thanking the good lord above that the lives of my children were saved. Even though i have contacted this organization, my search for answers will not end, i am also planning on contacting the general motor corp and the dealership where the vehicle was originally purchased. I will not rest until i know that these issues will be strictly dealt with.

Consumer stateswhile driving at any speed and no warning the fuel tank had crack causing fluid to leak out, consumer will had to refill the tank more then usual dealer notified.

Gage package (water temp, fuel, oil pressure, battery amps) occasionally give higher false readngs and sticks.readings do not reset to zero as with normal starting of the truck.this is a safety hazard as it preoccupies and may overly concern the driver with a false condition of the vehicle.

Fluctuating fuel gauge and erroneous readings on quantity. Repaired 6 times since 01/03. Since repair to pcm, gauge now only bounces in park and neutral but locks on wherever needle is when put in gear to show that amount of fuel. Also reads different levels upon start of engine.

Defective fuel gauge.

Received a recall last october 2015 about strong gas small.got appointment at chevy dealer to fix problem in november.dealer says i need a gas tank, but they can't get any from company.they have other recalls also with the same problem that are waiting.now vehicle has become hard to start.still waiting for dealer to fix.why does chevrolet send recalls if they have no intention of fixing the problem??this is a dangerous situation with gas dripping, and the strong gas smell.it is a lawsuit waiting to happen if someone accidently drops a cigarette around the car.

The fuel gauge sensor system becomes faulty after 74,000 miles. Mine started at approx. 90,000 miles. I have learned online this has happened to many 2002 blazer owners & gm will not address the issue. Because of this the cars will not pass emissions due to a diagnostic trouble code & costs over $1,000 to repair on a 12 year old vehicle even thought it has nothing to do with the actual emission output. It is one thing to have parts break down with age and quite another to have the same part become faulty on a large scale. I cannot renew my plates due to the emission failure and cannot afford to fix a gage for a $1,000. Gm needs to recall the vehicles and admit their fault using a cheap faulty part to save $$. I know this may not be a "safety" concern per say but gm advised me to make a complaint with nhtsa. My vehicle is my lively hood & i don't know what else to do.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The technician advised that the fuel pump would have to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The fuel pump was replaced a second time. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

After refueling our 2002 chevrolet blazer, there was a strong smell of gasoline. After taking it into the shop for repairs, the diagnosis was that the fuel tank and lines were rusting away and need to be replaced. Shop called us back and advised that parking break drums are falling apart. Every time we have an issue with this vehicle it has always been a major repair. Never a simple fix. With all the complaints on this vehicle i don't understand why the government doesn't force gm into a recall. This vehicle even qualified under the cash for clunkers program.

Vehicle was originally purchased 10/08/12 from car world, 3400 north oracle road, tucson, arizona, 85706. Began to experience starting and stalling problems in first week of january 2013. I took blazer to h & m auto, 138 south veterans blvd, 85713, tucson, arizona. Vehicle was tested and it was determined that fuel pump was problem. Fuel pump was replaced at a cost of $250.00. In march of 2013 fuel pump failed. Pump was returned to store where it was purchased, sundown distributing ii d.b.a. "costless auto parts". A new pump was installed. January 13, 2014- again fuel pump failed. One year warranty had expired. I was required to purchase a new fuel pump at a cost of $185.99. I along with my son replaced the fuel pump. October 2014- began to experience starting problems. Blazer was inspected by tucson radiator and muffler , inc. 410 west irvington road, tucson arizona,85714. It was determined that fuel pump was failing.

Here is what happened, which at a service center getting the transmission serviced and replacing the 4 wd drive shaft, i returned to pick my car up.the door would not close and latch, upon further investigation, the entire door striker assembly fractured the side post metal and pushed into the sidepost assembly. This prevented the door from latching.i went to a chevy dealership in gresham, oregon, we looked at the design, the door striker is only mounted to the sheetmetal with a metal backing support behind it. My question is, how did this vehicle pass any kind of side impact test with this design? the only thing keeping the door from flying open is what i described above. I am shocked that the door striker is not secured to a steel post of some kind. I'm going to take some digital pictures of the striker assembly to keep incase you are interested in looking at them.

Hatch on tailgate door-will not open-instructions for manual opening does not work-cannot open from inside or outside-seems to be jammed. Inside release does not work and cannot open manually .

It sounded like tin cans were tied to the back of our 2002 blazer today (with around 37,000 miles)- we were told that the emergency parking brake pads exploded (the service manager's word) and ruined our rotors and rear brake pads, it will cost around $1200 to fix.

Emergency brake not holding/working.parking brake shoes glazed/worn on a 2 year old truck with 30,000 miles on it.this is an unusually high failure rate for the parking brake, the regular brakes are still good but the parking brake has failed.the g.m. Service personnel confirmed that they have seen a lot of emergency/park brake failures.

Does not go into drive from park.instead goes into neutral.does not go into correct gear.

Fluid leaked from the vehicle, which caused the transmission to jerk when the gears were changed.

2002 chevrolet blazer.consumer writes in regards to vehicle flex plate issues.the consumer stated the flex plate had to be replaced twice.the manufacturer was notified and did not offer any assistance. Updated 11/27/2017

Themaximum speed while driving this vehicleis40 mph, alsovehicle wont engage inreverse. Dealer not notified yet.

The engine stalled without warning, which caused the consumer to pull over abruptly. . the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the problem. The consumer stated at one point transmission fluid leaked onto the ground.

The automatic transmission failed to shift properly.

I had puchased this vehicle new from an authorized dealer.within a few months of purchase i had noticed that the gas mileage wasn't close to the estimated mpg which was 15 city and 17 highway.i was getting anywhere from 9.4 mpg to 10.5 mpg with average driving.i had also noticed the automatic transmission slipping.with these two major problems i had brought the vehicle back to the dealer from which i purchased the vehicle and reported the problems.they where no help.they insisted that it was the way that i was driving rather than the vehcile having defective parts.i am very unsatisfied with the product and the gm company.dt

While driving the vehicle, automatic transmission doesn't shift properly from the first to second gear. Dealer has inspected eighttimes and wasn'tavailable to duplicate or correct the problem. Please provide any further information. *ph

Transmission is defective, it takes more clicksto get to drive then it would in any other vehicle.

My 2002 chevy blazer will no longer shift into 4-wheel drive. It has been this way for over a year now, and chevy won't even acknowledge my communications about it.

No warning signs.just put my 2002 blazer in reverse, heard a loud pop.wasn't sure what happened, so i got out on the road and couldn't accelerate fast enough up a hill and almost got rearended by a car going 60-65 mph.pulled over and finally figured out that it wouldn't shift out of 2nd and i had no reverse.called local chevy dealer and he immediately knew what had broken. (something called the sun shell casing or sun gear, i think).i only have 50k miles on that car and now have been told they wont just replace the part, they have to replace the entire tranny.

I have a 2002 blazer. Since i have owned the vehicle it has performed unsatisfactorily. The engine randomly makes roaring noise, the rpms rise and there is concomitant loss of power.i am told this is normal and that it is related to the fan clutch motor and a sensor that works erratically. The fan clutch has been replaced once and the vehicle has been in the shop several times.i have been involved in several near misses as the vehicle does not perform in a predictable manner. Chevrolet refuses to take any responsibility for this issue though i was offered $2000.00 toward the purchase/lease of another vehicle.in reviewing this website i note that there are several other complaints about this problem and in all cases gm/chevrolet has refused to accept any responsibility. Is there nothing that can be done from a regulatory perspective or do we have to wait for another corvair/pinto debacle.*nlm

Power train-transmission is loud and almost is slipping when going into 1st and 2nd gear of automatic transmission.dealer says others have same complaint with no fix available.fan clutch engages due to faulty signal from sensor.engine sounds very loud when it engages.fan clutch replaced once already before taking delivery of car.another dealer states that this problem has also been present since 1999 for this car with no fix available.there is a tsb on the transmission problem with cause unknown and no available fix.seems that since others are having this problem manufacturer should be held responsible.

Drove from ohio to florida, 1040 miles. 250 miles into the trip, my console became extremely hot. The side of the console touches the drivers seat and it was making my seat very hot.the items inside my console melted, the hand wash burnt my hand when i took it out to use it.now the console is getting hot only after 50 miles and sometimes less than that.also, the cd player gets hot.the cd's occasionally become so hot that i drop them when they get spit out by the player by itself. I have no idea what the problem is and i am worried my blazer may catch fire or blow up.also, at times when i start up again from a red light, the transmission sounds so loud like it is working very hard to get moving.i know these things are not normal. Am i safe driving my blazer? i bought it brand new in 2002. Now i am afraid of it.

On this occasion we had a heavy snow that day and as i was driving on the road i switched to 4 wheel drive.as i turned the corner, thinking i was in 4 wheel drive my car went out of control when it hit ice and i hit boulders and landed on a tree.earlier when we purchased the car we noticed a light kept coming on that said 4wd.we called to have it looked at but were told it was nothing to worry about.my husband called gm and complained about the malfunction.after my car was taken to the dealership gm reps came out to see it and agreed there had been a malfunction in the 4wd system.they claim to have fixed it but my car has never been the same.i hurt my neck but since i don't have health insurance never did go to the doctor.they reimbursed us $600 for the repair.my problem is worrying that there are other vehicles out there that could have the same problem.if mine did why can't there be others?next time someone could get killed.i was lucky.gm was hard to deal with and i will never buy one of their products again.i hate my car but can't afford to get out of it.i would have liked to sue them for my injuries but they really will only listen to you if your are dead!please check into this because gm won't call you and tell you of the problem with the 4wd.you need to get the exact details of the accident and why this failed.thank you.

I have been hearing a noise in the front end for a few weeks and i had the tires replaced but it did not cure the problem.i have found out that i need a hub assembly which is $500 for the part alone and i need an idler arm which i have taken my vehicle in faithfully for maintenance to the dealership and they never told my about it and just said to watch the tires.obviously with the wear on my tires (outside wear) they should of have known.i have been in twice for the front end replacement of bushings and many other things and i also have heard from many people having the same problem as i have with the hub assembly.not everyone has $500 to just fork out. Please help.

Front wheel hub assembly went bad

Vehicle has a engine/drivetrain vibration that can be heard and felt throughout the cabin at speeds of 58-62 mph.the vibration cycles on and off constantly, being on for 1-2 sec and then off for 3-5 sec.we fear eventual engine/drivetrain failure, especially after front suspension recall and transfer case recalls.gm unsure of cause, but said it is happening on numerous trailblazers with no fix yet but feel it is related to engine harmonic balance.a friend of ours lost the #5 piston on their engine while passing, nearly causing a severe accident.local dealers confirm several other engines in 2002 trailblazers have blown - wondering if these problems are related.our vibration/noise problem makes us very uneasy in terms of family safety while inside our new vehicle at these highway speeds.

The dealer has tried unsuccesfully to get a replacement part from the manufacturer. No safety defect listed in summary.

Passenger side seat belt locks in place must be disconnected in order to try to make it work.

Front passenger's side seatbelt system locks up as if an automatic locking restraint. Owner's manual state's that this belt is used for a child restraint.no other seatbelts in this vehicle locks up like the front seatbelt does. Also, there is an airbag present in the front passenger's side.

Passenger seat belt locks into place with little or no passenger movement, cannot be released without removing seatbelt completely and retracting completely.also own a 2002 oldsmobile bravada same problem on passenger side restraint. Passenger must remove seat belt every few minutes just to breathe or tuck shoulder strap behind them. This is a serious flaw on the passenger side seat belt on all 2002 bravada's, trailblazers and envoys. Dealer has no fix at this time except to try a seat belt extender to change passenger side angle on restraint belt to see if it helps. This should be a serious recall issue. Will file seperate complaint for 2002 oldsmobile bravada also just purchased. Serious injury or death could occur if crash happens while passenger is unrestrained to release the locked belt.

The seat backs are much too high and wide allow for clear vision to side and rear.blocked vision when checking blind spot to change lanes has caused several near misses which could easily have been collisions at highway speed.this is clearly a safety problem with the potential to cause injury or death.the manufacturer has claimed it is a design issue and not a manufacturing flaw and has denied any action. That won't be much of an anwer when my 3 month old and 3 year old daughters and their mother are killed or injured in an accident caused by this poor design.

The contact owns a 2002 chevrolet blazer. The contact stated that the driver's side door hinge failed to close, an abnormal humming noise was detected, the vehicle rocked, and a tire blew out. In addition, the abs, air bag, and parking brake warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to tom joyce automotive (18260 paulson dr, unit d3, port charlotte, fl 33954) where it was diagnosed that the door, pins, and hinge needed to be replaced.

Abs system failed to kick in resulting in a skid.

Prior to this incident, which started at 400 miles, vehicle would either pull to the right/left while driving at any speed. The cause of both failures was undetermined.

I just saw the recall of gm trucks and suv's for "unwanted application of the antilock brake system". I was disappointed to see that the blazer is not included on this list because i own a 2002 blazer, and i have experience this problem on two occasions.traveling at about 30 miles per hour on dry pavement the antilock system activated as soon as i applied the brake pedal due to avoid turning traffic in front of me. The antilock system continued to chatter until i released the pedal about 5 seconds later. Braking was minimal during this time, and i might have hit the turning vehicle if it had stayed stopped.

During the test drive and subsequent to that, i experienced what i call the fat foot syndrome.that is to say, my foot engaged both the accelerator and brake pedal at the same time.i was stopped and when i attempted to procede, my foot engaged both pedals at the same time.this could be confusing to drivers behind me and result in a collision.in addition, this condition could result in premature brake lining wear.

My wife at that time got in to an accident in a chevy blazer on nov 11, 2002, on el paso, tx. Where the vehicle was lost due to a steering wheel lock up. The company did not do anything about it, the insurance company did not pay the right amount i lost a lot of money in lawyers and nothing was solved, just me losing more money. I would like to demand compensation.

My daughter was driving at night and started to fish tale and spin out, she said that she had no control of the steering wheel and it lockup the driver side front tire.this caused the vehicle to do a 270 spin then go backwards hitting the curb, flipping the vehicle onto the driver side, causing it to roll. Because the shoulder was an embankment, the vehicle rolled onto the top then rolled back down onto it's wheels.the vehicle came to rest facing the wrong way on the highway.the cost of fixing the damage exceed value of the vehicle. Similar incident occur earlier just as a spin out (oct. 2010 ?), steering lockup after turning left at an intersection had some oil on the road from a previous accident (not related to us); however, she recover from the spin and just turn off the engine and restart the vehicle unlocking the steering wheel.it was assume that the spin and lockup was from the oil on the road.

Streering of my trailer blazer is vague and not responsive. The vehicle is hard to control at higher rate of speed, especially around 65mph. The rear suspension feel soft and slides when making quick movements left or right in the streering. The streering at lower speeds feels soft with play in the control. Other vehicles test driven do not have this problem. You can notice the difference immediately. On windy days the car moves constantly and the streering is delayed in correcting the push.the vehicle slides to much before the streering corrects it. Hence the vague and delayed response of the streering.

I am shocked that the door striker is not secured to a steel post of some kind. I'm going to take some digital pictures of the striker assembly to keep incase you are interested in looking at them.

Consumer states thatlug wrench that is located between the passenger's front rear seat hasa long piece of iron sticking out that can be very dangerous. The wrench became detached, and was flying around in vehicle like a bullet.

A few weeks ago driving home from work in a 2002 chevrolet blazer, and coming around corner the door hook and caused the door to open.tookvehicle to dealer, and they said to take it back to the dealer (sun chevrolet), and they said it wasn't their fault because she didn't lubricate the door once a month.contacts husband welded the door hook back on, but now the door will not completely shut, causing the lights to stay on andthe battery to run down.the automobilemanual did not state for contact to lubricate doors once a month.the passenger side door is now doing the same thing.the back gate will not open either.

Paint is peelingbetween at the outer edges at the license plate housing, where it comes in contact with the lift gate.gray primer is already exposed.i have inspected 2002 trail blazers and envoys throughout the state and surrounidng states and all reveal the same problem.owners need to be aware of this situation due to premature rust on the lift gate.it is sad that a brand new vehicle has a paint problem, before it is even driven from the lot and gm wants to paint the lower exterior of the lift gate and i feel the complete left gate should be stripped and refinished.

Consumer has contacted dealer in regard to the defect in doors.whenattempting to unlock the doors, hatch located in rear of vehicle unlocks as well.consumer feels this is a dangerous feature on vehicle. Concerned about the safety of gm chevrolet vehicles, 2002 chevrolet blazer had defective ball joints, inquiring why gm will not address the problem of this known defect.**cc

"takata recall" vehicle acted like it wanted to only go right and i couldn't turn left and ended up hitting the guardrail on the right side of the road and almost totalled the vehicle. Didn't know about any recall so i went to junkyard to get whole front end, fenders, hood and pretty much every thing on front of vehicle except for motor. But did replace fan on motor. Cost in parts only was approx. $700.00 (have receipts). Not including labor! & time and cost spent not having a vehicle until fixed. Also no airbags deployed!

While driving vehicle pulled to the right own its own.consumerdrove the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechaniccould notduplicate the problem.

When brake pedal was depressed at 20 mph it failed to stop the vehicle. This resulted in an accident because the vehicle ran through a stop sign. Prior to this incident, which started at 400 miles, vehicle would either pull to the right/left while driving at any speed. The cause of both failures was undetermined.

Dealer had taken vehicle back due to a manufacturer's recall. Manufacturer told consumer that dealer haspart to repairlower control arm bracket. But dealer has not repaired it, and return vehicle to consumer.

Driver's side ball joints failed at 60,000 miles.normal driving, this model had problems in the past 1997 with the same condition.looks like they could not fix if you have more complaints.had to repair at local auto repair shop. 200+

Front wheel hubs wearing out at 40,000 miles, resulting in loss of vehicle use and 1,000 dollar repair bill after several complaints about the front end to the dealer before warranty ran out.

Shock absorbers were wrongly designed by manufacturer and became defective, causingdamage on both front tires. Dealer has been notified.

Real axle failure, front wheel bearing bad.

Identified failure of the front left wheel bearing at 36,595. Could get warranty coverage. Thanks for the american piece of crap.

Front wheel bearing failure after only 48,000 miles of normal use.replaced bearings myself to the cost of $300.i have saved the old parts.i'll never buy another gm vehicle again!

Dt:the contact stated the front passenger wheel bearingmalfunctioned, causing the steeringto lock. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, who replaced the wheel bearing at contact'sexpense.the contactrecently found thatdriver's side wheel bearing needed to be replaced .

The wheel bearings on my 2002 2-door chevy blazer went at just under 54,000 miles. Both front wheel bearings had to be replaced.it was suggested that i report this because this should not happen to a vehicle with so little mileage.

Passerby noticed defect and alerted my wife. Tire bulges on sidewall near tread. Uniroyal notified but shows no concern about tire defect on 2002 chevy laredo w/ 1237 miles when tire replaced. Tire is available for inspection. Please notify me about your conclusion or if you have further question. (tiresize: p235/70r15)

Consumer states there is a 20 inch long panel between the back seat that is obstructing view out of rear windshield and rear-view mirror when driving in reverse.consumer has to stick head of out window and look backwards in order to see completely.

When vehicle is started e engine check light will flash ,andvehicle will vibrate severely.dealer has inspected vehicle several times; howeverproblem still exists. Feel free to provide further information.

My multi function switch quit on my 2002 chevy blazer.there was a recall on this very part for over 500,000 vechiles but my vin # was not ione of them.i consider this to be an ongoning problem that should be replace by gm.they tell me it will cost $450.00 to replace.but if it is an on going problem they should relace it at no charge since it was a faulty item.

The blazer looses power and surges back and forth, i can see the rpm needle go up and down and the vehicle feels like is rocking back and forth. This happens a various speeds, 40 mph, 45 mph or 55 and above 65 mph. I never know when will start doing it. "this happens all the time every day"

The vehicle has a terrible odor, similar to mold or mildew, that began over four months ago.i have taken it to the dealer five times and to two independent mechanics, and no one has been able to locate the cause or fix the problem.

While driving 55mph withcruise control off vehicle accelerated suddenly and unexpectedly, however vehicle stopped when oil pressure dropped, causingvehicle to stall, dealer has been notified, and will inspectvehicle.it was determined that foreign debis from the factory was inside the engine, the dealer cleaned throttle body.

While drivingvehicle would accelerate without prior warning. The consumer has made contact with the dealership.

The defroster has been fixed six times.when the defroster is not operating it causes poor visibility through the windshield.

Consumer states that vehicle's manufacturer installed tint is so dark can not see out of rear windshield.vehicle is a 2002 cheverolet blazer extreme.

With 1 rear window open(3 others closed), @ highway speeds, low frequency buffeting in passenger compartment, especially bad when driving along a wall. Enough amplitude to cause dis-orientation and loc. Chevrolet admits design flaw, chevy open case # c04984282.

Gm has stated that there is no fix for mirror memory failures, that auto mode on temp control only applies to air conditioning mode and there is to be no fix.

Power mirrors have experienced repeat failures where they would move themselves.dealer determined mirror actuators were flawed in designed.new design actuators installed.problem still recurrs, though less often.

Consumer stated that due to the outside rearview mirror being electric itwould be hard to moveor not move at all. Dealer notified.

Power memory outside mirrors move on their own to positions outside driver's field of vision.mirrors tilt down in reverse but fail to return to previous position when vehicle is taken out of reverse.dealer contacted technical assistance at general motors who suggested to rebuild body control module -- did not correct problem.technical assistance reports 4 similar defects with the same vehicle and states may be problem with the amount of memory alloted to mirrors.tan case #5205486.thus far, a solution is reported unavailable.

There was a bad smell coming from the vehicle, and the windshield wipers were inoperative.

Consumer states that while driving in the rain the windshield wipers would work intermittently. Dealer notified.

While driving in a rain storm, the windshield wiper stopped working, causing poor visibility for the driver.this resulted in an accident.this also happened once prior to this accident. The dealership is unable to fix problem. Please provide more details.ts

Windshield wipers malfunctioned and/or stopped.

Intermittent wipers stop working. Sometimes they like ad, meaning: one wipe, pause, 2 wipes, pause, 3 wipes, pause, 4 wipes, pause, the back to 2 wipes and counts back up.my theory is maybe a capacitor(s) have gone bad?

Windshield wiper arm loose. Wipers will not operate.flawed design, in my opinion. Nut loose, had tightened.wipers work. On going problem.

Intermittently windshield wipers become inoperable, obstructing the drivers view. Dealer replaced sensor module and still problem recurring. Currently, vehicle is without warranty.

Have had to replace front wheel bearings multiple times under 60k miles. The replacement bearings have even had to be replaced under warranty.i have been told the oem wheel bearings for this vehicle have a 60% failure rate. The solution is to upgrade to a higher quality bearing beyond the oem one. Such as skf brand with a 100k mile warranty.
