I am complaining about the 1990's chevrolet blazers. Several consumers have reported to me the same problem. The dash that is didital showing the mileage, spedometer and gas consumption goes out after a period of time and is defective which makes the vechicle unsafe because i cannot see how fast i am going, and gas consumption. I truly beleive this is a defective part. I spoke to a couple of business's that deal with this type of repair and i was informed that it would cost over one thousandy should of informed the consumers that ther was a possiabliit dollars to repair and i was also informed that they were aware of many of these parts going out making this a defective part. I feel that chevrolet.
Delco freedom battery positive terminal post broke ,causing battery to spill acid and corroding battery cable, 1st vehicle on 515741.

Was driving vehicle when vehicle suddenly lost power. After leaving vehicle, it exploded & caught fire. Flames put out by fire dept. Indication of fire was in fuel lines which was caused by a short in electrical wiring.
The wiring harness caught on fire for no reason. Owner spoke with various people who had same problem. The exact cause has not been determined.

I have replaced the following items on this 1992 chevy s-10 blazer in the year and a half that i purchased it: 1.egr valve 2.throttle control sensor 3.spark plugs and wires 4.rotor and rotor button 5.muffler system 6.pcv valve 7.fuel injector cleaned twice 8.oxygen sensor 9.lower ball joints and idler arm the first 8 items were replaced because of rough idling, smoke and sluggishness, and excessive use of gas($75.00 in a week).i also have a issue with peeling paint on the roof and sides of my truck, it is peeling in patches and the grey primer underneath is showing, this makes the truck look very bad.i was not aware that this was a major defect in this vehicle until recently and i want to find out how this can be fixed.

A defective fuel feed line split opening into a very large hole when the engine was started causing 60 pounds of pressure to flow through it with a quart of fuel sitting in the intake manifold.
Consumer noticed a fuel leak.when taken to a mechanic, the fuel tank was taken off and replaced along withfuel sending unit and 2 fuel pipes.
The fuel injector housing failed, causing engine to lock up and engine components to fail.
Vehicle interior smells like gas/vehicle will not idle properly, and will surge on occasion. Dealer found fuel injection problem, too much gas was put in engine. Consumer states the fuel pressure regulator went bad.
The central port fuel injector system sits on the top of the engine under the air plenum.leakage is not evident.gas accumulates in the plenum and presents a fire/explosion hazard.
Vehicles has fuel injector regulator leak dueto possible defective seals.mfr has issued a tsb on this problem.this cause a fire hazard.

At slow speeds on slick/icy/snow-packed roads, braking seems insufficient; also slow speed emergency stopping is a serious problem, it provides a hard/spongy pedal with extremely reduced stopping ability, resulting in lock ups and loss of control. I received a recall notice from chevrolet approx 3 weeks after my daughter's accident.they have performed testing, but said the tests are inconclusive and deny responsibility.the 4-wd test indicated no prob. But the veh. Was not in 4wd at the time of the accident.good weather and road conditions, skip marks indicate to me that the abs did in fact failed or malfunctioned.product liability person is very difficult to contact, but finally got back with me and told me to have the damages repaired, then they will do the recall work on the brakes.if there is no problem with the brakes, then why would they do the recall work?i feel we are being deceived and need help resolving this with chevrolet.the recall notice clearly states there is a problem and it may result in longer stopping distances and possibly a vehicle crash.it sure did.i thank god that my daughter was not seriously injured or killed because of their delay in getting a recall notice out on a 1992 vehicle!!!

Absproblems; whenapplying the brakes in a normal situation, onnormal road conditions, the pedal went all the way to the floor,and the blazer would not stop. Driver pumped the brakes for 3-4 minutes before the system engaged. The vehicle was towed to dealership. The calipers and brake pads overheated which distorted the rotors. Calipers, pads and rotors have been replaced.

There seems to me a pattern of service bullitens over the years to make sure to check ball joints and then in 1996 agree to replace them at no charge.i talked to gm about this, failure of upper ball joints on my blazer . For joints also the new ball joints installedare the same part no.theygave me no answersaid theyare glad that no one was hurt ,something is very odd here on this problem .and then they said goodbye.

I have replaced the following items on this 1992 chevy s-10 blazer in the year and a half that i purchased it: 1.egr valve 2.throttle control sensor 3.spark plugs and wires 4.rotor and rotor button 5.muffler system 6.pcv valve 7.fuel injector cleaned twice 8.oxygen sensor 9.lower ball joints and idler arm the first 8 items were replaced because of rough idling, smoke and sluggishness, and excessive use of gas($75.00 in a week).i also have a issue with peeling paint on the roof and sides of my truck, it is peeling in patches and the grey primer underneath is showing, this makes the truck look very bad.i was not aware that this was a major defect in this vehicle until recently and i want to find out how this can be fixed.

Vehicles has fuel injector regulator leak dueto possible defective seals.mfr has issued a tsb on this problem.this cause a fire hazard.
