Several safety issues were encountered with this trailer on our first use while traveling on a 3,600 round trip vacation between gainesville va and custer sd. First issue is that the trailer is not stiff or strong enough to minimize excessive flexing of the frame and bouncing making it impossible to keep the rear of the motorcycles situated on very narrow support rods with the provided tie down points even while using heavy duty cargo straps rated for 1500 lb working load and ratcheted as tight as i could get them.second issue is that the fenders are connected to the torsion bar and not the trailer frame which cased the taillight on one fender to be vibrated off and lost during highway travel and the other fender broke in half loosing the back half of the fender along with the other taillight and the license plate.we don't know if there was any damage or injuries caused when the fender, license plate and taillights came off at highway speeds since we only noticed the missing parts at the next fuel stop. These trailers should not be allowed on the highways as they are currently designed.they are marketed as being able to carry 2 cruiser sized motorcycles safely and this is not the case.all problems occurred on us highways at highway speeds.
