Montgomery county, maryland has a sub-fleet of fifty (50) champion buses with international 3200im chassis. Since the purchase of this fleet there has been numerous component and systems failures. One of those failures being the bosch zoh-t hydraulic braking system and failure of the calipers to release pressure from the pads causing a thermal heat rise and wheel well fires. This failure is random throughout the fleet and may occur at any time.there have been six (6) thermal events with in the last month that has resulted in the grounding of the fleet from service. To this point no permanent solution has been offered by the oem. When failures occur all brake components are replaced with oem components. All oem brake procedures are followed and system is bled according to manufacturer's specifications.
