This is a 7 foot by 16 foot double axle cargo trailer.when i was driving down interstate i kept hearing a metal noise.i looked in my truck mirror and could not see any problems.the noise kept getting louder so i pulled off side of interstate 64.i looked inside trailer and noticed roof had started came loose from front of trailer and started peeling back.the roof was only riveted/bolted along front of trailer and glued down sides.once roof separated from trailer in front, it started to open like a can of sardines as there are no bolts on sides.the wind from traveling at 65mph started ripping roof completed off.it's a good thing that i stopped when i did as the roof could have separated completely from trailer and brew completely off, maybe on a car behind causing an accident.i was concerned when i saw this, as i had never seen or heard of this happening before.i was concerned for other drivers on road because a piece of metal blowing off a trailer this big into road or onto another vehicle could cause serious injury or death.my trailer roof was not damaged in any way before and this was my 3rd time using this trailer. I had to tie a rope around trailer to catch separating roof and drive 50mph to get home.i called my dealer where i purchased it on 8 sept and reported the problem and sent pictures.i turned in trailer for repairs on 12 sept 2014 for repairs.trailer set at dealership for almost month.i had to call georgia main office and complain about getting my roof replaced under warranty.the trailer was finally picked up, ran back through assembly line and a new roof was installed.i asked for an extended warranty for my roof, they said no.my dealer will no longer sell these cargo trailer as he stated this was the 2nd trailer that the roof has blown off of.i have pictures available if needed.
