2008 cameo 35ft fifth wheel rv has improper wiring. *njthe consumer discovered the transfer panel was wired wrong when he attempted to connect a generator to the unit. It blew both speakers on the generator all the ac breakers, the power supply and the main fuse to the batteries. During a trip, the consumer discovered the left rear wheel would stay warm.then on the way home, the wheel was getting warmer and he had to use more of the brakes to stop the rv. The rv was taken to a repair shop where the wheel bearings were replaced.the mechanic stated the other three wheels were not connected to the electric wires for the brakes. On another trip, the consumer began having brake problems. He found the rear wheel wire had been mashed in, because the wire to the left rear wheel went over the axle between the axle and the frame instead of coming out of the backing plate in between the axle.
The contact owns a 2008 carriage cameo rv.the contact stated that the manufacturer mounted metal on metal where the axle was attached to the leaf springs and the pivot point. The contact stated the defect was an accident waiting to happen. The manufacturer was contacted who stated that the failure was caused by normal wear and tear. The vehicle was repaired. The failure and current mileage was 0.
