Passenger air bag warning is on. It was repaired once under warranty. I am now driving with noair bags because the defective module was replaced with a module from the same manufacturer that made the first defectiveone. If my car was a cts it would be repaired by cadillac as hundreds of cts cars have been recalled for this reason.i have owned cadillacs most of my life. This may be the last one.

I notice that my airbag light came on and a message saying service airbag soon, so i went to a mechanic and he told me that i can push the reset button and it should go off, well we pushed it and the light never went off. A week or two later i heard gm was doing a recall for that some problem but on later model luxury cars.

Takata recall -airbag light comes on and goes off on my 2005 cadillac sts.. I am afraid to drive my car.

B0022 issue has been detected in the air bag deployment system. Passenger seat belt retractor is inoperable and will not retract seat belt when needed. The air bag warning lite shows on dash when start of engine and continuous on .

I had the service air bags lightrepaired at 55,000 milesnow have 70,000 miles and have the same problemif my car was a 2005 cts and not a sts cadillac would repair it.i am driving a car with out air bag protection. I never owned a foreign carand now see why the are so popular. No more american built cars.

The service airbag light is now on and i notice numerous other complaints for this vehicle including injuries. Cadillac dealer says they wish to charge for diagnostics and believe it is a seat-belt pretensioner which they would not cover. Repairs would be as much as vehicle value. I notice a recall was ordered for vehicles one or two years newer with the exact same issue. Why not extend to this years same vehicle model.

When i move the driver's seat the "airbag" symbol appears on the dashboard. If i move the seat back and forth , after a few tries, the "airbag" symbol disappears.i was not able to look under the seat, but i have seen a video where somebody had the exact same problem but found burnt wires under the seat.i am wondering if there is a fire hazard. This happened when the car is stationary.

I was driving my 2005 cadillac sts doing about 45 miles and all of a sudden my car lost control. I put on brakes and my car would not stop. I tried steering to the left to avoid trees and my car would not turn it appeared that my accelerator was stuck and my steering wheel would not turn.my car hit three trees and when it struck the third tree i kept applying the brakes it still wouldn't stop then i turned my car off and that's the only way i got it to stop. My back wheel on the passenger side came off and my car was totaled.my air bag did not deploy. I spoke with gmac claims representative and he stated that it was normal for the air bag not to deploy. He also, stated that the air bag indicated that i had applied the accelerator when i know that i did not. I am terrified from this accident and this is the first accident i have ever had and i do not drink or take drugs. I asked the representative did the black box indicate that i had to turn the car off to stop it and representative stated no, then i asked him to tell me how the car stopped. If i had not turned the car off it would not have stopped and i would not be here today.gmac denied my claim and stated that it was my fault.

Airbag sensor light came on 02/04/14 and will not go off. When called the cadillac dealer they requested i pay for a diagnostic test to see why the light is on but it will not include the cost to repair. Is this a recall item?

The car has had several documented electrical and mechanical failures.over the past 2 years the car has been shutting down automatically in the middle of traffic.the display shows 'engine power reduced' and is followed by other messages like 'service anti-lock brake sys' or 'service radar' or service stability sys and traction control.' before the car shuts down the traction control is automatically disabled.i have had to bring the car in for the same symptom 4 different times.the in-service dates that were described and documented for this problem are as follows:1.)february 22, 2008 ' 'poor drag on c102 connector under hood'2.)april 24, 2009 ' 'failed converter'3.)october 1, 2009 ' 'ecm failed'4.)may 5, 2010 ' 'reprogram pcm'all of the above were serviced by classic cadillac saab.each time they fix something new but the same symptom continues to occur.i am extremely concerned for my family's safety when traveling in the car, especially when it has shutdown numerous times both on a highway and in the middle of an intersection.the car has become a severe liability for both me and my family.sometime in december 2010 the car had shutdown again and the engine light has been on and off since then.

I was driving along a city roadway when the vehicle's stability, traction control, and engine light came on simultaneously when all of a sudden the vehicle just stopped, almost causing the car behind me to collide with my vehicle. I called the dealer, lawley's gm store in sierra vista, az. Where i had just purchased the vehicle and told the service manager what happened...he sent a tow truck to pickup the vehicle and after inspecting the vehicle at the dealership told me it was the throttle body needing replacement...i bought a new one and had it installed. Ran fine for a couple of weeks after which the vehicle began stalling while driving on a city road when the same thing happened again, but this time when the vehicle stopped without any warning causing the vehicles behind me had to swerve around me almost causing accidents with oncoming vehicles. Called the dealer again, had the vehicle towed in and this time was told that the vehicles computer was not programmed right and that it also needed throttle body harness...bought the harness and had it installed as well as the dealer reprogramming the computer. Car did well forafew months when it happened again (vehicle stopping unexpectedly), this time approaching a major crosswalk and once again causing the vehicles behind me to come a abrupt stops, fortunately a city police vehicle was on the opposite side of the crosswalk and the officer witnessed what happened, put his vehicle's emergency lights on and came over to help me push out from the street to a walgreen's parking lot where i once again called the dealer, had it towed to dealer where they told me the throttle body pin connectors had to be soldered on which they did. Car is running ok for now, but i am concerned that i may be driving and the vehicle will once again stop unexpectedly and cause an accident.there are consumer posts on this problem on the web.

Just bought the vehicle used and i hear a noise coming from the rear back of the car. The key fob wasn't working correctly and drained the battery and i had to buy a new battery. I really don't know what wrong with the vehicle but its driveable for now besides the slight banging noise. It need to be checked for recalls.

Car disabled power under load first time 4 yrs ago. Then for the next 4 years continued to come and go. Still happening to this day. Codes: p0651 and p2108. At various speeds and intermittent times would put on check engine light and traction control light. Car cant accelerate. Have to pull over and restart. Biggest mistake was buying an american car.

While driving down the street in my cadillac sts a (service electric system) warning flashed on my dash. A few moments later everything electric in my car started to shut down. The radio, power steering, lights, and finally the engine. I cruised to the side of the road and put the car in neutral and engaged the emergency brakes.

My 2005 cadillac sts brakes locked up and caused my car to crash.after research i am showing that there was a recall regarding the brake system.in addition, when changing gears you can hear the gears changing from the outside of the car.i researched this as well and apparently there is a defect and recall on the axle.i am not happy about this vehicle that i just purchased for alittle over 7 months.there is also an electrical problem.as i am driving, the hood ajar light comes on and there is no sign of my hood being ajar. In addition, the transmission seems as thought it is going out as well.before i consult with an attorney i wanted to first give gmc an opportunity to resolve this issues.my vehiclehas less than 100,000 miles.also, please note that due to the electrical problem, my reverse lights has never worked.the unknown other would be the axle and transmission.

Dt:the contact'swife drove the vehicle to the grocery store. She parked the vehicle and went in the store. When she came out she noticed people were looking over an embankment. She realized then that thecar had rolled backward over the embankment. A tow truck came and pulled the vehicle up, and then the car wasdriven home. The engineer at the dealership checked the vehicle and said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. However the contact felt that the electrical system was faulty.the consumer stated the vehicle has a new keyless ignition system which allows the vehicle to be left in neutral rather than park when the driver exits the vehicle.updated 01/04/06.

While driving on the expressway( at night), going 70mph, the car completely shut down without warning. I lost all power, brakes, steering, lights. On dash message stated "accessory active" and then "shift to park." took the car to the dealer and they changed the throttle body and cam/crank shaft along with a couple other small things. Got the car back, and 1 week later, the problem began again but worse. It would do it repeatedly, at all different speeds. A couple of times right in the middle of an intersection! took the car back to the dealer again and this time they changed the body control module. Got the car back and about a week later, the problem has returned!

While driving my 2005 cadillac sts in afternoon rush hour traffic the car suddenly loss acceleration. The car would not maintain speed (60 mph) while driving on the freeway. Had to exit freeway. The car continued to operate only at idle. Everything else was working, but could not get the car to respond to the throttle pedal. Was able to slowly exit and enter a parking lot. Restarted the car and was able to drive off normally. After a few minutes the problem recurred. The dealer had the car 4 different times (over a month total) and was not able to resolve the problem. The dealer indicated a $4000 cable harness assembly has to be replaced, but did not guarantee it will correct the problem. Throttle body, throttle position sensors have been replaced without results. The car did operate normal for over a month with new throttle body. After visiting the dealer for another issue the throttle problem recurred.

Went outside to drive the car begin to drive off as i was driving a big ball of smoke came out the tail pipe andsounded as if something broke and the car shut off. The car would not re start.

The vehicle intermittently loses engine/ electrical power while driving. When the power loss occurs, brakes and steering lose proper functionality creating a threat to the driver and passengers as well as other motorists. The vehicle then is unresponsive to the proper starting procedure. Restarting the vehicle is inconsistent. It may start immediately upon command or it may cause a theft procedure to initiate. The vehicles dic will possibly show the following prompts just before the shutdown failure occurs; service vehicle soon, service stability system soon, service a/c system soon. During the shutdown failure,no electrical components are operable but power is still available to the car allowing the dic to prompt 'no fob detected' or 'theft attempted' and the fob will intermittently allow you to send lock/ unlock commands during the shutdown failure. The failure happens in any scenario and is intermittent in the aspect of no failure occurs for a week or 5 failures occur in a day. I cannot determine when the failures began happening considering i purchased the vehicle used with 155000 miles and the failures have been happening since day 3 of my ownership. The vehicle is currently at a midland michigan cadillac dealership being diagnosed.

The catalytic converter makes loud popping noises on passenger front side. Now is misfiring in cylinder 1 and also has unexpected gained speed without any gas peddle pushed. Gm extended the catalytic converter warranty to 200,000 miles due to converter problems. But my vin they say isn't included. My car is a v6. My sister was the previous owner she said she never received any recall information. The website shows no open recalls but the work wasn't completed since she purchased in 2007. Gm website doesn't help at all.

This vehicle has pumped through 5-7 quarts of oil appx every 500 miles. I know that this is not normal. Car was overhauled, the trans was basically rebuilt, with new components.problem with oil evaporating at very low mileage still an issue. ***no leaks*** or symptoms aside of diminishing oil every said set of miles. Very frustrating issue that hasn't been resolved.

Without warning my transmission stopped working . I can move the greer with out it collecting any greer . No engine checklight nothing .i pulled the parking lotand had to be pushed out street .

The contact owns a 2005 cadillac sts. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle stalled and the traction control indicator illuminated. The vehicle was coasted to the shoulder of the road and, after one attempt, the vehicle restarted. The failure occurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

There was no previous indicator of a trouble condition--first indication of trouble was mis-firing---long story short---a complete engine over haul (rings, bearings etc.) was made aware that these cars normally use 1 qt oil per 2000 miles---there is no warning for low oil level on the dash or dic other than remaining oil life, which was ok--an extended warranty covered the repairs the car had between 68k-69k miles and had been maintained as required by the dealership----

S10 appropriate handling- letter to the secretary from constituent re copy of a letter addressed to general motors chief executive officer mary barra regarding the recall of vehicles that can leak oil and catch fire.the consumer stated the technician showed him where burnt oil had leaked through engine gaskets between the crankcase and manifold.the consumer was quoted a price of $ 4,153.00 for the replacement of the gaskets. I own a 2005 cadillac sts.i notice a loud rattling noise followed by sluggish and stalling engine while in the midst of driving.i took the car to the dealership and told me there was a problem with my timing chain.while at the dealership at least 3 other cars of the same type complained of the same problem.this is not safe while the consumer is driving and the car begins to stall at 55 or 60 mph.this repair costs over $3100.00.

-the contactwas driving when she lost consciousness for about 30 seconds. The contact believed thatloss of consciousness was due to fumes in the passenger compartment.at the time of the incident the vehicle was traveling at 40 mph under dry conditions.as a result the contact's vehiclecrashed into another vehicle. The contact stated that she was unaware that she was in a crash, and that the air bags deployed. She regained consciousness because of the gases caused by the air bag's deployment. The contact had the car taken to the dealer to check if fumes were leaking into the passenger compartment. The contact stated that she has a police report from the crash.

Dt: purchased a new vehicle that had an odd smell, but soon became overpowered with its strong odor.consumer's wife eyes watered from the smell and her throat burned. Took vehicle to dealer for who tried to remedy the problem by placing odor eaters inside of the trunk from where the smell was strongest.the odorwas stronger when vehicle was outside in heat or hot weather.consumer was concerned that this may be toxic.the problem was ongoing.contacted gm , but they did not answer the concerns.vehicle continued to smell of odors.front passenger side seat was squeaking with side to side motion.front seat adjuster assembly replaced.

My cadillac sts makes a farting noise at times.cadillac cannot tell me what is causing this noise.

I purchased 2005 cadillac sts july 2006 and was told that i could add a gm navigation later however now i am finding out that that is not possible. I am told by cadillac customer service as well as dealership personnel that if the car doesn't come from the factory with navigation,it can't be added.i'm extremely disappointedat learning this information after the fact.

High beam headlights out of adjustment left side way high and to the left lights up trees not road. Right side way to high. Per cadillac and dealer no adjustment is possible. Only adjustment is on low beams, none for high beams.complaints to cadillac went no place. After many e-mails finally talked to a real person and was offered $200.00 of service work to go away, i turned it down, per cadillac they would now close my compliant out. I drive on county roads, two lane farm county and the high beams do not light up the road ahead of my car, only tree tops to the left. Per calif law all headlights must be adjusted properly, if no adjustments is on the high beams it is against calif state law but cadillac will not do anything to correct this.

Was driving low beam lights went out smelled wires burning left side wire harness was melting i was on my way home on highway 51 north at around d 10:45 in the evening

I have had ongoing problem with this since i bought the car used last august 2012. The passenger side headlamp cover gets a lot of moisture inside. I was going to fix myself so i went to "cadillac forums" and searched problem. Amazed to find all models of cadillac and always on passenger side is the moisture problem. Started in 03 model year and last questioned on 08 model year (after that warranty problem so dealer would handle. This is to much to be a coincidence and a recall should be issued. Thank you in advance.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Front car seats are making a farting noise, i have had in the dealership 3 times & each time they said they fixed the problem they have not. Also, my front headlamp has stress cracks in it they told me they ordered it, well its been 8 weeks & still no headlamp the manager was suppose to call me & never has

It just started making a loud knocking noise, and it dosent go no faster than 40mph.

My fuel hand is always inaccurate. When it get close to the 1/8th marker the engine completely turns off due to lack of fuel. From my understanding my vehicle has already been taken in for all recalls but this problem has not been fixed.

Rear differential very wet and leaking in garage. Called gm was ask several questions and told to carry it to crest cadillac, hoover,al and let them check problem. Was told not to let them fix it and gmwould call me to see what i was told. I did carry it to crest cadillac and was told it is the rear pinion seal and is very common. Gm called me back and ask what they said and ask several question again then told me it is not covered under any recall and would not help with repair.

The rear pinion seal on my car has failed a long time ago.it is oddly strange how the 2005-2007 cadillac builds have this problem, yet, somehow my vin isn't included in the safety recall.this appears to be a wider problem than the bulletin covers.this really needs to be addressed as someone is going to be driving one day and their car is going to stop abruptly and cause a major accident.this is a major problem!

The above vehicle was recently in a shop for brake pad replacement when my mechanic discovered that there was a leak of lubricant in the rear end of the automobile.upon further inspection he discovered that the rear axle pinion seal was leaking.the automobile has just 60,000 miles.after checking the nhtsa he found that a recall, gm recall number 07204 had been issued for this very problem.however, when i presented the vehicle for repair this morning at marion chevrolet cadillac they refused to cover the problem under the recall stating the vin does not meet the recall range.i find it untenable that gm could recall nearly 300,000 vehicles for this very issue but refuse to cover an identical problem in a vehicle that does not meet the vin range set by gm.

The contact owns a 2005 cadillac sts. The contact stated that upon inspection, it was found that the rear axle was leaking. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number 07v589000 (power train). The failure mileage and vin was not available.

Driving on the highway when there was a sudden loud bang, my car swerved, my rpms revved up, white smoke and i smelled burning. I pulled over and had it taken to the local certified cadillac dealership, my rear differential needs to be replaced related to a rear pinion seal leak. There's a recall for that exact problem for my year and model but my vin isn't covered. How can i get my vin on the recall list?

The contact owns a 2005 cadillac sts. The contact stated that the vehicle was leaking oil from the rear. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who performed a diagnostic that located the failure at the rear wheel axle pinion seal. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact that the vin was not included in the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number: 07v589000 (power train: axle assembly: axle shaft: seal) and denied assistance with any repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 75,000.

Vehicle had been experiencing transmission "shudder".on highway appeared transmission 'jumped out of gear and began shifting"vehicle taken to dealer and dealer advised of tsb #060730020 & 060730030 to which gm has added that if vehicle is over certain mileage (approx 42000) then torque converter is replaced and fluids changed.dealer advises torque converter has failed, no assistance coming from dealer of manufacturer-repair cost is in excess of $5000this is a known problem particular to these vehicles and gm has had numerous complaints.

It just started making a loud knocking noise, and it dosent go no faster than 40mph.

Without warning my transmission stopped working . I can move the greer with out it collecting any greer . No engine checklight nothing .i pulled the parking lotand had to be pushed out street .

I purchased a 2005 sts and had it for 1 year when the transmission went out.it had just passed the 50k warranty. I took it in and had it checked, they told me there was nothing wrong with it. I had to drive with the mechanic and show him what was wrong. I went to the main company and was told there was nothing they could do. I now have an sts sitting in my garage, not able to drive anywhere. I found out the transmission was only 1/2 full from the factory but can not prove it. I am very, very disgusted with the cadillac company. I could have bought a cheap car that would have out lasted this car by years..

The contact owns a 2005 cadillac sts.while driving approximately 55 mph he heard aclanking noise outside of the vehicle, and then he loss vehicle control.the driver was able to maneuver the vehicle out of a roadside ditch to resume normal operation.the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer.the technician stated the failure was related to the rear passenger side differential. However his vehicle identification number was excluded from recall id number 07v589000 (power train:axle assembly;axle shaft;seal). No repairs were made.the failure and current mileages were 162,000. The vehicle identification number was unavailable.

Daughter driving on concrete hi-way at 50 mph., hears noiseby passenger side rear tire area. Rear end locks as if brakes were applied but were not. Car slides out-of-control . Her and her passengers are not injured. Had to shift car from forward to reverse 2-3 times, car makes clunk noise, then it frees itself she drives out of ditch. Not sure what happened they drive at lower speed cars rear end locks again for 2-3 seconds then frees itself but makes grinding noises.take to gmac service center told rear differential failed. Found out about recall: nhtsa id # 07v58900. Cadillac rep. Said our cars vin # is not involved in recall. Found recalled vin #'s and our cars vin # is inside the recalled numbers bracket.

B0022 issue has been detected in the air bag deployment system. Passenger seat belt retractor is inoperable and will not retract seat belt when needed. The air bag warning lite shows on dash when start of engine and continuous on .

I have rust in my car and under the bottom.cadillac states this is normal and they cannot do anything until there is a hole in the vehicle.they rely on the dealers feedback.the district manager in the area is of no use.the dealer over rides his decisions.what does gmc paid this fellow for?

Front car seats are making a farting noise, i have had in the dealership 3 times & each time they said they fixed the problem they have not. Also, my front headlamp has stress cracks in it they told me they ordered it, well its been 8 weeks & still no headlamp the manager was suppose to call me & never has

After leaving restaurant got into car and adjusted driver seat, proceeded to exit, approached stop light, then heard faint popping sound then smelled odor and saw smoke.immediately pulled into adjacent restaurant across street, exited vehicle and car was on fire. An employee at restaurant advised to move away from car fearing an explosion. Immediately called 911 and was dispatched to local fire dept.

Dt*:the contact stated while driving at 45 mph smoke was detected inside the vehicle.fifteen minutes later the vehicle was engulfed with smoke.the occupants got out of the vehicle.after a few minutes they got back in the vehicle and drove it home.the vehicle was taken to a dealership the following morning, diagnostics test were performed on the vehicle.the problem was the wiring and the module under the seat had melted.the repairs have been made.the manufacturer has been notified. The consumer was told the wiring was routed incorrectly updated 03/17/06.

On june 9, 2016 i was driving on a wet road so when i tried to stop it took an extreme amount of distance to get the car to stop. I figured the brakes got a little wet causing the probable. The next day my wife was driving the car. Traffic stopped ahead of her stopped so she tried to stop. With both legs pushing on the brake pedals the car would not stop. She was almost killed since she had to hit the car in front of her. The car only has 57000 miles on it so figured the car had a lot of life in it. Not anymore. The dealer (ed morse in tampa) has made a preliminary inspection and looks like the car is totaled. This all happed on a 45 mph road with lots of room to move about but not at a red light. I guess i need to look for something other than cadillac for quality as much as i liked the car.

Steering wheel makes thump/clunk sound when turning or going over bumps which causes steering wheel have wiggle/loose. Steering wheel is also making rubbing sound when wheel is turned slowly in any direction. I had my local dealer look into this and they concluded that wheel needed to be greased. The thump/loose steering wheel problem continued and i ended up taking vehicle to another cadillac dealer nearby. I explained to advisor of continuing problem and informed them that another dealer attempted to repair. I was told by advisor that problem was worn tires. I explained to advisor that vehicle had this problem when car was purchased with new tires. I replaced the tires two months ago per dealer's recommendation and problem is still continuing and getting worse.

I bought a2005 sts cadillac from oakland automall, two weeks later as i was entering the freeway, and i found myself without any steering, the steering mechanism(for no good reason broke) i skidded across two lanes of traffic (i'm really lucky to be alive) my car hit the guard rail on the other side of the freeway and came to a stop, i reported this to the general manager at cadillachis answer to my cries were (sorry about that), i have pictures of the car and how the steering rod broke, i'm really afraid to drive the car, its been in the shop for over 30 days, please help me, no onewant to hear my cries.

Manufacture produced this car filling the inside of the unibody rails with an absorbent foam. These rails also have manufactured holes allowing water to enter the rails. The water is then absorbed in the foam and through age it has cause the unibody rails to rot from the inside out. This is the main structure of the car. I also have a 2007 cadillac sts with 85k where this is starting to become present and an 2005 cadillac srx 130k where this already happened and had to spend thousands in repairs. I understand with age comes rust however this is a manufacture defect. There is no reason for these cars main structure to of been filled with foam causing the "frame" to rot specifically where the engine cradle bolts to the body structure. Had this addressed now i could of been driving the car and had the engine subframe rip from the unibody.

2005 cadillas sts - frame rotting out - car is garage kept. Upon inspection on my lift this weekend, i found substantial rust to both lower frame rails just behind the mounts for engine cradle. Manufacturer fills the frame rails of this area with foam which absorbs and holds water and rots the frame rail from the inside out. This is definitely a manufacturer defect. Now looking at thousands to repair a vehicle in otherwise very good condition.

I was driving north on i-95 in virginia when i heard a loud pop and suddenly realized that the glass part of my sunroof had torn away completely. Luckily no one was behind me at the time. Thesealant that holds the glass in place had failed. The sunroof was closed at the time this happened. This is a serious problem.

The air dam shield on a 2005 cadillac sts keeps falling down and dragging on the pavement.the car was bought in june 2005 and the first incident happened in july 2005.the dealer replaced the shield.the second incident happened in august 2005 and the dealer reattached the shield.the third incident happened in september 2006 and the dealer replaced the shield. The dragging of the shield caused some cosmetic damage under the car and the noise of the dragging was quite noticeable.

My tire blew out while driving.the tire is a vogue tiredot pj1pz1ark 2905the service person told me to fill a complaint as the tire was dry rotted and i actually had to replace two tires at a cost of $285 per tire because he told me the other tire was also dry rotting. (i had already replaced two tires previously to this incident)the tires still had plenty of tread and i drive the car daily so there should be no reason they were dry rotting.

The contact owns a 2005 cadillac sts. While driving approximately 40 mph, the vehicle stalled and the traction control indicator illuminated. The vehicle was coasted to the shoulder of the road and, after one attempt, the vehicle restarted. The failure occurred multiple times. Pretty much the same as complaint # 10120320dt: contact states the vehicle's voice recognition system is not working. If you state a command a majority of the time it will execute a different command. Once a command has been executed it is difficult to stop the command. The manufacturer has issued a file number(gm file no. 1322945605) but not yet fixed the problem.

Without warning my transmission stopped working . I can move the greer with out it collecting any greer . No engine checklight nothing .i pulled the parking lotand had to be pushed out street .

Vehicles voice recognition & blutooth telephone system are unstable/unusable. Vr system recognizes stated cxommands approx. 10% of the time. System miss-identifies commands 90% of the time causing improper/incorrect execution of wrong command. Servicing dealer states this is a known issue with all owners and there is no service bulletins or fix actions at this time or known. Cadillac customer assistance center in response to a written letter infomrs they have no knowledge of this being a major concern and inferred it was a "user" issue in properly operating the system. Research among cadillac owners boards shows a large sample of owners with similiar/same concerns. Blutooth system was 100% unrealiable with a qulaifying cellular device and completely unusable. With a second device system partially works but user also experienced a system "lockup" of all user features including hard kets, touchscreen and steering wheel controls while driving at highway speeds when using the bluetooth feature on one occasion. Vehicle had to be stopped and completely shut down to remedy situation which has not as yet repeated itself. Again cadillac was unable to assist and the ccac representative said only a "few" phones actually worked with the system that they knew of. Vehicle is designed around the vr feature for drivers use and this has proved to be a major area of concern for us. Still working with cadillac but unsure of what resolution may be...

The contact owns a 2005 cadillac sts. During brake application, he experienced unintended vehicle acceleration. As a consequence he crashed into a tree. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, but the technicians could not identify the cause of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,000.

Letter on behalf of constituent regarding the problem of rapid deceleration when the radar controlled cruise control is engaged. *njthe consumer stated the vehicle suddenly disengages and it immediately slows down. The local dealer was unable to find the problem and suggested replacing the entire system at a cost of $4,300-5,000 dollars.

Front windshield on 2005 cadillac sts is delaminating along the top and side edges. Seems to be getting worse over time i.e. More bubbles and more delamination. I am concerned that this manufacturing defect is effecting the strength integrity of the windshield and impair vision through the windshield. Cadillac has refused to repair the problem.

Dt*:the contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the back glass in the rear windshield fractured and broke.the vehicle was not taken for inspection or repair.

Rear window of 2005 cadillac sts shattered for no apparent reason; this has happened on a gmac leased vehicle i turned in to the dealer.the window shattered after sitting on the dealer lot 10 days awaiting gmac inspector. Upon opening the door, he reports hearing a crack and the rear window shattered as he opened the door. Driving on i-75 from orlando on a clear sunny afternoon when i hear the sunroof start to rattle. I began to slow down when i heard a loud noise coming from the sunroof. I pull the inside cover back only to find a hole in the roof of the car where the sunroof used to be. We called the local cadillac dealership that following tuesday. We were told to take the car to the collision center that saturday only to find the collision center was technically closed but there was a person in there working who came out to the car and took pictures. Then we were told to take the car to the dealership only to find out from them that only the manager from the collision center could approve repair or financial assistance for repair. Well, after getting no help from the collision center or the dealership we contacted the corporate office for assistance/direction. They initially seemed helpful by contacting the dealership on my behalf and having the to manager to contact us. Today is may 20th and the manager has not contacted us yet. We stopped by the dealership today (after calling first to no avail) only to find the manager will be out of the office for the next two weeks and someone else will be contacting us. This has been a very frustrating ordeal! they (the dealership/collision center) don't have a reason as to why this could have happened and are avoiding us instead of providing the customer service they should.
