The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving approximately 5 mph, the vehicle accelerated independently and without warning. As a result, the contact crashed the vehicle into a cement post and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact and the front passenger both sustained chest injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,999.

I was in a severe crash and suffered a severe concussion. My ribbon flew off my head when i came to, i did lose consciousness and woke up to on star telling me my vehicle was in a crash. I have severe pain in my neck shoulder, abrasions to the left side of my body and bruising. The vehicle is totaled but the airbag never deployed and it should have without a doubt. There was severe damage to the entire vehicle.

The backup monitor touchscreen cracked into a spiderweb effect. I don't know why but was suddenly like that and has gotten worse.

The contact owns a2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated the touchscreen became inoperable in 2017. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed the cue screen needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred in 2021. The manufacturer was notified however no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 28,124 and 63,991.

Entertainment cue system just starting cracking for no reason at all. My vehicle was just parked and i came out to my vehicle and i noticed the screen was starting to crack and spreading.

Headlights do not project bright enough for night driving. They come on but do not function well enough without turning on the bright lights.

Engine light repeatedly comes on at 100000 miles.then goes off. Codes include :camshaft position actuator block 1, traction control, blinking engine light. After driving for a distance of 10 miles or more for a duration of 1 to 3 hours in light or heavy traffic.

My cue screen is no longer functioning.1) back up camera is no longer visible when parking my car.2) gps is no longer available because i cannot get into the system, i have to use my cell phone for gps on the highway making it unsafe due to the super small screen instead of the large cue screen in the cadillac srx i purchased.3) you can no longer pair your cell phone with the bluetooth in the cadillac, because the touch screen will not function. This makes my vehicle no longer handsfree.4) radio stations and xm no longer available and other options.

The display on the radio keeps flickering and you can switch between the applications... From radio to navigation.

When it rains it cause water to collect in the spare tire compartment where the module for the liftgate is housed. Which cause the car to think it's been stolen and makes the dashboard and safety features disable. It also make the car don't want to turn off and it randomly turns on if the key is near by. It's a known issue with the cadillac srx that cadillac refuse to fix out of good faith for its customers. If the module get wet you can say goodbye to antilock brakes , traction's control ,airbags ,and a host of other features till it dry out.

The cadillac cue has frozen and needs to be replaced. The highlights are so dim it is impossible to drive at night.

Danger of driving with dim headlights.i have to use the bright lights in order see at night. I replaced the headlights it did not work.i still can't see at night with the dim lights.very dangerous and very scary.i took it in to the certified gm/cadillac service department.they said they could replace it or $1700 and not guarantee that it wouldn't happen again. My car is only four years old. This shouldn't be happening. I am afraid to drive my car at night.very dangerous.i feel this is a default that they should replace at no cost to the consumer.very disappointed in the results.

The headlights have been getting more dim causing safety issues at night forcing me to use the high beams to much and gm tried to force owners to pay to fix $1700 estimate out pocket with the hope & prayer they would reimburse through a third party that has been a nightmare as documented on::https://gmauthority.com/blog/2020/03/2010-2015-cadillac-srx-owners-still-battling-with-headlight-problems/comment-page-5/#comment-1001328andhttps://cadillacsociety.com/2020/03/10/owners-continue-to-struggle-with-cadillac-srx-headlights/ i had more than one incidentthat shows my car could cause injury based on making mistakes for lack of visibility. This is a death waiting to happen and gm is barely going through the motions to make sure they are not ignoring it but blowing it off in many ways suppressing it in many ways .the other problems with the wheel bearings and suspension are scary when you hear the noises and i think more scary when you ask for an estimate which i will put off deciding to take a chance with an area of the car that can truly cause death if the past means anything.i am going to mention the problem with the defective que system that they are clearly trying to deny but did pay 90% of my $1000 repair without taking blame and of course this is not a real safety concern but worth describing because it shows a clear pattern of suppression and avoidance to recall a clearly defective part of a vehicle .thank you for your time and consideration.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. On several occasions, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the automatic transmission was downshifted and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. The contact also stated that there was a hesitation occasionally when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to shirey cadillac (10125 s cicero ave, oak lawn, il 60453, (800) 338-4553) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact also stated that the cadillac cue system, which controls the heating, air conditioning, defroster, radio, navigation, cruise control, and telephone service, was also inoperable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

The cue stop working. This is an issue with this kind of vehicle. All the owners who have the vehicles are having the same issue should be a recall or place another kind of system in the car. If you google this issue it comes up right away. No one has $1200 to keep getting this fixed. My truck is in a/c mode and i cannot change it.

Gm corp/cadillac issued a recall to the vehicles info center cue screens.they were deteriorating and potential provide false information on the cars message center. Cadillac replaced t he cue screen on the 2014 srx . The same screen that was replaced is now deteriorated to the point, that after 30 minutes of driving, the screen has become inoperative to the touch and not able to display and current information about the cars condition. This inoperative screen and lack of information creates a distraction and concern about the cars condition. Recall / repair was done under invoice #218494 from autonation cadillac of west palm bch, fla

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that when the vehicle was purchased, the contact became aware of a fracture to the electronic control panel.ramey princeton chevrolet (135 fairmont dr, princeton, wv 24740, (304) 425-2134) was contacted by phone and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that the fracture was normal wear and tear. The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The manufacturer offered to provide a minimal financial assistance to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The approximate failure mileage was 51,248.

The cue screen started to spider on its own

Front exterior lights are too dim to drive at night.

Information screen locked up not allowing me to access climate control, radio, phone, navigation.my mechanic tells me this is common at about 65000 miles and mine just turned 66000.the fix is about $1500.. According to internet informationthis is a common problem.planned obeisance by gm? vehicle was stationary and i was trying to get in phone mode from climate to hook up hands free phone. Nothing happens when you try to change mode.

Headlights are gone on my 2014 srx! faded out over time.gone! i cannot see anything without the hi-beams on now. Only 62k miles. Probably started going out way back, i did not realize it was my car, thought it was my own vision which is already poor to begin with. I live in the country so i'm really screwed on these backroads. Dealer replaced cue system under warranty approx two years ago or less, now its going out again. Mirrors and seat and radio and climate all bleeping out on me. Service mgr. Brett@ sam taylor cadillac in ft. Walton beach fl. Says this is very common to have to replace it at least twice. Perhaps more? he stated to me that he submitted my issues to gm twice to no avail. Now the dealership has been sold and new people won't even return my calls. It's a very long drive for me to go to them and argue this case as we are still dealing with hurricane michael issues here on our toll bridges and highways, waterways etc. Traffic problems all over. Hardships on folks trying to go to work.re-routings. But i ask you who is the most likely next purchaser of a new cadillac vehicle? me, the person who already owns one.!!! trade in for a newer model? no thanks, think i'll just pass seeming how i'm a nobody. Apparently they could care less about their next customer, (gm corp i'm speaking to you). Why would you lose buyers over such a bizarre but simple fix? before this i had the tahoe. Now maybe nissan or infinity is calling my name. Shame.

When driving at night and you are using low beam head lights because of traffic the head lights do not put out enough light to see the road. Many other owners of these cars have the same problem. The low beam head light is way to dim and not much brighter the the day time driving lights. When comparing this model car to others side by side on low beam this model is less than half as bright as the other models on low beams. Cadillac and the local dealer say nothing can be done for improvement. This is a major safety issue.

Head lights do not workproperly when on dim> this has been aproblem forsome timeandcarmargo cadalic wants to charge me to tell methey don't work.hmmmmm i know theydon't work.

Cue infotainment system touch screen malfunctions causing driver distraction as well as discomfort . Heating , navigation and radio functions operate erratically without warningas if the screen is detecting a finger pressing it and can not be overridden .this is a driving safety issue especially here in the midwest where a weather advisory could very well be missed or the heating and air could cause the windshield to fog uncontrollably.

The cue touch screen becomes frozen and unusable. Display works but functionality does not.

I cannot drive at night because headlights are so dim you can't see them 100 ft away.also water in assembly. Have replaced and it made no difference.

The cadillac cue system does not work properly. The original went out, the one they fixed under warranty went out, and now they don't want to help me fix what i have. It was only 18 months ago when they replaced the cue system. It operates like this regardless of the way you drive it.

Cadillac cue not responding to touch and also going black

Headlights on these cars are extremly dim on lowbeam to the point of being dangerous to the driver and other vehicles on the road. This is a known problem with cadillac models 2012 thru 2017. Was told by the dealership cadillac knows about it but there is no fix. Also a problem with the cue system locking up.

Stability system engaged is happening intermittently and more frequently even in situations where it is clearly unneeded - dry, straight road with no acceleration or deceleration.dealer could not diagnosis even with road test.gm hotline sent me back to the dealer.system engages randomly for a few second and then releases.car jerks to one side. Very disconcerting.wife will no longer drive car

Cadillac srx stopped at red light and heard car reviving up. Kept foot on brake but i am very concerned. We were on a city street.

When i'mparking i get message telling me it is not in park, although i put it in park.i have to do it two or three times for it to get right.i put it in park and it tells me its not in park.

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the throttle body assembly was replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000. Low beam headlights are so dim that they are an accident in waiting. They do not project far enough to avoid "over driving" them. Dealer says they are adjusted to spec. Pedestrians are at risk as is the risk of hitting wildlife. In ambient light, cannot tell the lights are even on! have installed brighter bulbs to no avail. This problem is inherent in the cadillac and needs to be addressed at the nhtsa. Problem noted all over the web.

The headlights in my 2014 cadillac srx are so dim it has become very dangerous to drive at night. I am not able to see something or someone on the side of the car nor 2 maybe 3 feet pass the front bumper of the car at night on the highway or streets.i'm driving truly on someone else's car lights against the road. Cadillac have provided a letter to customers to submit a claim to replace the headlights stating a small number of srx models...yea right dangerous is dangerous... Can replace lights due to moisture..etc..etc.. However, they are only providing a cap ($800 per headlight) of what they would pay. After taking it to a cadillac dealer they are charging customers way over the cap and we have to pay for something that should have been recall status in the first place. My car is a 2014 with about 59500 miles now at the time of this complaint. After taking it to the dealer today 3 mar 2020, i was told that the same model headlight would be install back into my vehicle meaning in about 2 years or less i would be place with the same problem and have to pay out of pocket again. I am not sure what vehicles you all are testing and saw that these srxs headlight are meeting headlight safety standard.i recommend you reevaluate this situation and charge gm cadillac to put a recall on all the vehicles they stated would have an issue with our headlights.p.s. The more i drive my car at night the worst the headlights have become. This is the first i have submitted a complaint of a vehicle before but this is not good.thank you in advance

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the headlights were too dim and created a hazard while driving at night. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 70,000. Consumer stated the whole assembly to the headlights were replaced.

The low beam projector headlights are dangerously dim. There have been numerouse complaints about this issue to ntsa and cadillac with no suggestion or resolution. As a law enforcement officer i know this issue is extreamly serious. Please investigate the low beam projector headlights and the extreamly low light output. When driving on low beam you can not see the road. High beams work fine.

The low beam headlights are so dim that i cannot see without high beams on.i almost crashed on a winding road when switching to low beams because of on coming traffic.i bought new bulbs and still no good. Did not drive at night for 6 months before purchasing fog lights to assist low beams.gm should have a recall before someone else looses their life like the reported law suite in florida.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlights were not providing adequate illumination. The contact had a personal mechanic clean the headlight connectors, but it did not correct the failure. The vehicle was taken to heritage cadillac (7134 jonesboro road, morrow, ga 30260, 770-872-0025) where it was diagnosed that the headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 49,000.

After just a few years our 2014 srx had a headlight problem on the driver side it was them and very low and was replaced by the dealer luckily under the warranty. The passenger side was also failing but not as badly so it was not replaced. Just a few months after the warranty expired the passenger side also is very dim and the car cannot be driven at night. This is obviously a major problem and gm is not admitting enough to make it a recall. Please help

Headlights are very dim.dealer just replaced headlamp assemblies costing me approximately $1,800.no improvement.the lights are so dim, my teenage daughter cannot drive on remote highways due to the headlights not providing a safe level of illumination.gm needs to fix this problem.it is ubiquitous among srx owners.very unsafe.

Front exterior lights are too dim to drive at night.

Both hid headlamps are too dim to safely drive the vehicle at night.replaced and was no improvement.cadillac will not reimburse for entire cost.$800 does not cover hid lamp.

Bought vehicle 2 years ago, headlights have gotten dimmer to the point car is unsafe to drive at night.brought car into dealership and they are in agreement the headlights need to be replaced.safety issue. High beams are necessary to drive after dusk.

The headlights on the 2014 srx area death trap waiting to happen. Headlights are so dim you can't see the roadway. If going down the highway or on streets. And when you make turns on a dark street you are blind.

Low beam headlights are so dim, that i have to run with high beams only at night.they are not burnt out, but are just very dim.cadillac admits it's a major problem reported by most srx owners. The dealer wants over $1800 to replace the lights.of course this is unsafe for the driver and those approaching the car having to deal with high beam lights.

The headlights on the vehicle are not bright enough to see where you are going at night.i almost hit a divider on an exit ramp at night because i could not see lines on the road.i had them adjusted by a certified cadillac mechanic but it did not help.i have to drive with high beams on in order to see. This is extremely dangerous for me and also traffic that i am meeting on the highway.i see where this is a common problem with this vehicle and it's only a matter time before there is a fatality.with the numerous complaint it seems cadillac would care about the quality of their products and the safety of the consumer.

I purchased this 2014 srx in april of 2017. Within a few days of purchase, noticed how dim the hedlight were, and became concerned, this was nver brought up with salesperson. Of course, it was purchased in daylight hours. Salesperson never once mentioned the defective headlamp issue that my husband and i found some days later while driving at night , but called dealershp and brought to their attention of us not being able to hardly see in front of us while driving in darkened areas at night, ie, neighborhood, low traffic areas, country roads, etc. ...highways were well lit at night, not problem. Called and brought into dealership where purchased, (buick dealership)service dept.checked lights out, adjusted them, fouind nothing wrong, we even called to cadillac dealership, they didn't have any problems/recalls, oh, but will replace lamps for $1800.00.no thanks, very disgusted and cannot find anyone to admit this problem,so we are deathly scared to drive at night for safety issues of killing ourselves trying to get somewhere. Have heard or read online (?) that the 2010 through 2015 were the years of defective headlamp issues, but someone please tell me why......no recalls on this issue?? i just want some answers, and this happening on a cadillac, really??? very dissappointed and disheartened about this!!! no help in paradise!!! no one will admist to these defective headlamps.no matter where you drive, how or when, it is the same low dim lit light, if we put our brights on, i am afraid of being shot or pulled over and beat up!! we are in our 70's and 80's. Just wanted a reliable and safe vehicle, have always driven cadillacs, but this "takes the cake".sad in texas.(do not know what mileage was, being 3.5 years ago)

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam exterior head lamps failed to illuminate. The failure occurred without warning. Autonation cadillac west palm beach (2101 45th st, west palm beach, fl) was contacted and recommended that the low beam head lamp assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

The normal headlights at night do not provide any help. Was told there is nothing wrong with the lights or the assembly. Every bad review says this is a known problem.every safety rating has been lowered due to headlight issue.selling car and not buying any more cadillac's if cadillac isnt going to help repair their known issues with their vehicles. You spend upper 5 figures for a car and get told too bad. Poor customer service.

Headlight so dim could not drive at night.have tried replacing bulbs but not really helping. I feel this is a defect in the headlight and cadillac should put out a recall.doing research i have found many many complains about the same thing and even a class action suit.

Headlights, particularly low beams, have become very dim over time. Headlight covers are not clouded. Necessary to drive with high beams during nighttime hours.consumer stated headlights were replaced.

The low beams on my car are very dim and i cannot see to drive at night. I had the headlights replaced and the covers cleaned thinking that may be an issue. After research, i saw that this was an issue with this model. I took the car to the dealer and they stated it is not covered under warranty inspite of seeing many complaints and a class action law suit against gm.

We purchased this 2014 srx in 2017 in daylight at gateway buick, dallas,tx. After a few days driving it at night could quickly tell the headlights were too too dim to be driving at night, complained many times to them, they even later checked lights out and said all was ok! very disgusted with cadillac not wanting to recall as i found out that the 2010's thr 2015's are all defective.we call cadillac and they tell us this car is in name of a man in california and they can't help us. I am very very mad at cadillac for not supporting their customers in this way! we have no one to turn to but only finding a lot of other people with same problem online and nothing been done about this tragic situation. Finally ordered new headlights through cadillac dealership ($2,000.00 to repair)earlier this year and tell us not in as yet.they are all in denial.i am 77 now and husband 85 and our children are very worried about us driving at night. Please if someone could help in this awful situation. A letter from cadillac earlier this year said will only pay $1600.00 to reimburse us to replace them and only if moisture is the problem. Driving in neighborhood is horrible, not lighting, main streets with streetlights ok, but any dark street is a death risk. Thank you for allowing us to vent and pray for some resolving of this situation.i have read where people have ordered headlights and had them replaced and still no better, just same old originals. Thanks.

July 4, 2018 i hit the rear of another vehicle and it bothered me because i was alert paying attention and all of a sudden the car was in front of me.it bothered me that i hit the car and could not figure out why?now i know, i could not see the car because my headlights are not working properly.my car insurance went up because it cost close to $4,000 to make the repairs.i would like for cadillac to recall the headlights on these vehicles.they are unsafe for night driving.i am considering the advice of an attorney not that i know the lights were the issue and not me.i was not speeding in the accident and the car is front of me was just going slow, not in a stopped position.my headlights were not bright enough that i could judge the distance from the rear of the vehicle.

Headlamps have condensation build up and the low beams do not provide enough light to drive. Last night i almost had an accident trying to go somewhere and had to take corrective measures to keep from driving into a ditch that i could not see. This is incredibly dangerous and we almost wrecked because the low beams give off almost no light to the roadway.

Night driving is very dangerous for me. I have to drive with my high beam lights on. The low beam lights are so dim they do not give safe vision. Since we have had the car,2014, we always felt the lights were too dim. At the time the dealer said there really wasn't any real solution for the problem. If they replaced them the same thing would occur. I should have had my concerns authenticated in writing, but didn't.i have contacted gm and am waiting for a response. The last time i talked to them they said they had no recall issues due to the lights. I asked them to reopen the file on 12/26/19. I am waiting to hear from them. They will contact me again on 12/30/19.my vehicle has this problem all the time.the poor visibility is a constant no matter where i drive. It is especially difficult with on coming traffic, since i have to turn off my high beam as not to create a problem for on coming traffic. I have avoided using my car atnight as it is such a safety issue for me and the on coming traffic. Thank you for any help or insight you may have.

Concern: extremely dim headlights on our cadillac srx, so dim and hazardous that we choose to not drive at night and never in rain. We have replaced the bulbs with strong new bulbs from sylvania (gold series) however there is no improvement. We have been to cadillac dealership, they want to charge 1,900 dollars to replace both faulty headlight assemblies with the same faulty headlight assembly and charge us for it. Keep in mind this is a barely 4 yr old cadillac that you cant even drive at night for fear of safety. My cellphone is brighter that the headlights, we have done the comparison. We have since learned of pending lawsuits over the same issue, accidents, etc,...it is as much of a safety hazard as i can think of.a 4 yr old cadillac that you cant drive at night due to the faulty, well documented design flaws in the light. Ridiculous. The srx without question a danger to drive at dusk, dark, or rain.

The headlights on this 2014 cadillac, with 50,200 miles, are a design and manufacturing flaw.the lights on low beam, at night, are driving hazard as they do not light the road.the high beams are a work around to circumvent the problem but serve only as a temporary fix.on-coming traffic negates its use.

Extremely dim low beam headlights.took vehicle to dealer, they consulted with gm.gm reported they recommended changing the low beams, but it might not correct the program.headlights were replace, did not improve situation.attempted repair amounted to $255.00

The low beams are horrible. At around 60,000 miles the low beams started to fade down. Can't see at night unless my high beams are on. Dealership wants 1800$ to fix. I tried replacing bulbs looked like it would work at least temporarily until they both blew out completely within 10 min of driving. Cadillac should fix this immediately this is a danger to everyone on the road.

Headlights are dim on low beam. After multiple reports/complaints by owners no recall was issued. It is a safety issue.gm offered to reimburse up to $1600. My dealer wanted $2502.40 plus tax to replace the lights. $1000 over the reimbursement cost which made a total of almost $3000 i had to put out then wait to get back $1600. I have not replaced the lights.this is a product safety issue that is gm's problem not mine. Why no recall?

Light recall doesn't cover entire original light and i need to get it replaced (out of pocket expense to be $1204.64). . the car did not have over 100,000 miles on it when it showed issues.history replacements prove the whole light must be replaced.

Headlights while on low beam i can not see. The headlines are not bright enough. I can barley see over the hood. It is the same weather i am in motion or not also weather it on the highway city or etc. It does not matter

Headlights are not bright enough to see at night.need to use high beams in order to see the road at night.can't see peripheral vision.can only see straight ahead with minimal distance.this is a major issue and i try to avoid driving at night at all cost.this issue needs to be rectified by cadillac immediately so no one gets injured.

The headlights of the cadillac srx (2014) are so dim that you cannot see the road in front you at night/early morning. It is a huge safety concern. There needs to be a recall on these headlights. My bulbs have been tested and are fine. It is a design flaw in the vehicle. Please investigate the problem and hold cadillac/gm responsible! attached are photos taken from inside the vehicle in the early morning hours and late evening hours.

Head lights are extremely dim making the vehicle dangerous while driving at night. Currently, we cannot use the vehicle for long trips at night. The lights were fine when the vehicle was purchase new. The lights got worse as the years went by.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlights were dim. The vehicle was taken to marthaler of marquette buick gmc cadillac (919 w baraga ave, marquette, mi 49855, (906) 226-3592) where it was diagnosed that the entire headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was later taken to dave towell cadillac (111 w market st, akron, oh 44303, (888) 315-0939) where it was diagnosed that new bulbs were needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 102,000.

Head lights are extremely dim forcing owner to use high beams on a semi regular basis

Headlights are so dim at night on low beam you cannot see to drive and from what i have read there are many many owners with the same problem and it is not being addressed by general motors

The vehicle headlights became defective within 5 years.moisture entered the lights causing them to dim and not provide sufficient lighting to see.cadillac knows this is an issue, but has not taken the steps to resolve it.

Headlights are dim when on low beam causing a dangerous situation when driving at night.cadillac dealer will charge $1500 to change out entire headlight assembly.lights are too bright to drive around with high beams on all the time.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that while driving at an undetermined speed in inclement weather, the headlights failed to produce adequate lighting for safe driving. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact replaced the headlight housing. The contact called the local dealer, but vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 20,000.

Headlights dim. Cannot see. This has been a problem with other people i spoke with with the same vehicle. Cadillac needs to take care of this. 900 dollars to replace

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlights were very dim. The light bulbs were replaced, but the failure continued. The vehicle was taken to ken bachelor cadillac (11001 interstate 10, san antonio, tx) where it was diagnosed that the headlight assembly reflector was defective and the entire assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 30,000.

The headlights are very dim on this car that you have trouble seeing the road after dark.other people have thought i had the parking lights on. The only way you can see on a dark road is to use the bright lights which only blinds the oncoming drivers.these lights are very dangerous on city streets and two lane roads as you can't see the road or the sides of the road . I can not afford the $2000 or more that it costs to get this fixed as it cast others.this a part defect and gm should be responsible for replacing faulty equipment before causes injury or death.

I bought this vehicle used in michigan. It was a vehicle from new york. The headlight are so dim i have to use the brights as much as i can while driving. I have had the lights changed twice with no change in my visibility of the road ahead and beside me. Making turns is scary and when it is really dark outside and i have turn on my dims, i have to look for the white line to follow the road. Please help

Lighting assembly is completely out on vehicle. I can only drive with bright lights on. I have went off the road several times, due to lighting. I have had several checks from cadillac and was told i need to replace the entire lighting assembly, but is a waste because it will go out again in a couple of months.

Low beam headlights have become so dim, that driving at night has become a dangerous task.headlights are so dim that if feels as if only parking lights are on, causing me to drive with high beams on all the time.headlight lens does not appear to be yellowed.

I mostly drive my car in the daylight. I had to drive for a test/doctor in houston text from covington, la. My appointments ran late and i had to drive at night for 200 miles. My lights are so low i could not see the lines on the highway. I used my bright lights when possible but this was not practical do to i traffic. I had to really on staying behind 18 wheel trucks to see the road to make it home. I was scared to death. The next night i had my daughter take my car out to see if it was just me but she said see could not see also and was also scared. I now can not drive my car at night.

We purchased a 2014 srx used and wish we would have looked at reviews prior to purchase. It is to bad gm knows there is a problem with the low beam headlights and won't recall them. Friday night we were turning into a business and could not see the driveway because of the headlights so dim. I am taking it to the dealer on monday because it is extremely dangerous to drive at night.

Headlights are so dim, makes driving impossible and unsafe, quoted $2800 by dealership, should be recall due to many complaints statewide!

The road appears dark in front of our car.the car has a small range of visibility because the head lights are defective. Even though we have replaced them twice at at a very high cost for a new one, the new head lights have no visibility at night. In order to see the road at night, we are forced to drive with the high beam on. We replaced them with original factory parts. My wife and i are both seniors and we only drive cads since 1967. All gm mechanics say that the headlights are defective. Please help us.

While driving through the neighborhood at night, the car has a feature to switch between high beam headlights and low beam headlights. The feature works fine, however, the difference between the high beam light and the low beam light is extremely dramatic and this makes it almost impossible for a persons eyes to readjust and focus to see at the low beam setting. The low beam lights are dangerously dim. They do not illuminate the stop signs as the driver approaches. I had to slow down to a dangerously slow speed in order to see the street signs. I bought the car 5 days ago used and didn't realize that this was a problem for this particular car. In the past 4 days, i have had the car back to the dealer 3 times to see if they can help get the low beams any brighter. They cannot!! the service manager came out to talk with me and showed me pictures of the 'housing' for the low beam lights and there are metal brackets in the way of the light, which he explained will force the light to cast too far down. This is why street signs are impossible to read at night while driving this car. Please recall it and fix this problem! the service manager did not give me a copy of the pictures or i would include them...

My front lights have condensation in them the low light do not get bright so i can not drive at nite. I've changed the light bulb and this doesn't seem to help.

Brakes did not slow vehicle down in 25 mile per hour accident, brake work done by dealership 2/2019

I can not drive srx 2014 at night due to the dim headlights. I understand that cadillac is aware that the seals on the headlight are defective but will not do a recall on them. I have filled a case with cadillac and heard back from 1 dealership, steve foley cadillac in northbrook illinois, that they will not do anything about.

Poor, unsafe low beam head lights

Bad gaskets on the headlights and over time they leak and the headlights become dull.

When driving, the low beam headlights are extremely dim, especially at night .it is very difficult to even tell if they are on.high beams are fine.driving at night has become very dangerous due to low visibility from dim lights. This has been getting progressively worse over the past ~ 6 months.

The srx headlamps are so dim when driving at night that it is dangerous. When driving it does not emit enough light to see the road and when cars are coming towards you because there are no lights emitting g from my vehicle or blinds you from seeing the road. This is a known problem and gm refuses to accept ownership. They finally sent letters to owners on florida that the know the have an issue but now wants the consumer to pay out of pocket and submit a claim. This is unfair and dangerous many people do not have an extra 1600 dollars laying around. Gm should be made to issue a recall and pay for their poor part issues with their product not the other way around.

The low beam headlights have increasingly become dimmer to the point where it is difficult to see on the road at night without using high beams.i think the issue began around the middle of 2019.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving after dusk, the headlamps failed to adequately illuminate the roadway. The vehicle was taken to lockhart cadillac (9265 e 126th st, fishers, in 46038, (317) 759-7785) on several occasions to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the headlamps conformed to u.s. Safety standards and specifications. Additionally, the contact was informed that there was a replacement low beam conversion kit that may upgrade the reduced headlamp illumination. The kit was installed, but failed to remedy the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Headlights, low beam lights do not put enough light out to see the road, impossible to drive at night if it's raining. I've put new bulb's in and still has not help.

Cadillac srx low beams lights are extremely dim. Provides very little visibility at night. It almost looks like the car is running on day lights only, even though the low beams are on. It is extremely dangerous and needs to be remedied asap. I have had the bulbs tested and the mechanic says they are fine. It is just the way they are placed in the vehicle. I am terrified to drive at night, but this is my only vehicle and i do not have the funds to replace it right now.

Low beam lights dim.they are so dim it is hard to see when driving at night using the low beams

This is the second time i've issued this form.the headlamps on my 2014 cadillac srx(and about 300,000 others) setting is such that the headlamps' low beams do not illuminate the roadway due to faulty engineering or manufacturing and should undergo a recall service by cadillac.

The headlight extremely dim when driving at night made the car so dangerous when driving after dark.

The low beans are very very dim and it's hazardous to drive at night.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlamp seals were damaged and there was moisture in the headlamp assemblies. As a result, the lights failed to produce adequate lighting. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to autonation cadillac port richey (9921 us-19, port richey, fl 34668, (727) 364-2818) where it was diagnosed that the headlamp kit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-5541370170. The contact was referred to nhtsa, but no assistance was offered. The contact received a class action lawsuit document regarding claim number: 1053407. The failure mileage was 58,000.

Low beam headlights do not project sufficient light to see at night.bulbs replaced, but problem persists.now reading online that many 2011-2015 srx owners are experiencing the same issue causing night visibility issues that are a safety concern.

Headlights are very dim when on low beam, it isa danger to the driver and other vehicles on the road. Due to the lights being so dim you can not see anything while driving at night unless the lights are on high beam which is dangerous for other vehicles on the road. I almost hit a deer due to the lights being dim. It is almost like no lights are on at all.

I bought the 2014 cadillac srx last week on february 15, 2017 and when leaving the dealership i noticed the headlights were very dim. I took it back and had the bulbs replaced but it did not fix the problem. I have since looked it up and see so many other cadillac srx owners with the same complaint. Driving at night is a safety issue and this vehicle definitely needs a recall.

Low beam headlights have gotten so dim it is hard to see at night.in order to get decent visibility we need to drive with headlights on high beam.it is bad enough that i will no longer allow my wife to drive it at night.i contacted the cadillac dealership and was told there was no recall or service alert for that problem even though they had heard of similar problems.it will only be a matter of time before some is killed or hurt because of poor visibility.is this an issue for which you are aware?

Unable to drive at night due to very low light output. Like driving with no lights or with park lights. Had new lights installed, but still very low lighting. Worse if it is raining. Can't see 2 foot in front of you unless you have the high beam on. Rural driving, live in country.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving at dusk, the headlamps failed to properly illuminate the roadway. The vehicle was taken to kerbeck cadillac atlantic city (located at 340 n albany ave, atlantic city, nj 08401, (609) 246-2211) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the bulbs could be replaced and the headlamp lens could be restored; however, the failure could recur. The contact was also informed that the internal reflector in the headlamp was at fault and that the headlamp assembly would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

My headlights becametoo dim to safely drive my car at night, seemed to be the magnifying part inside the light was foggedup. I took it to dealer where i purchased car and had them look at lights. They tell me i just need new bulbs.i had another place replace bulbs and it didn't help at all.had to have headlights replaced out of pocket ((couldn't be fixed without replacing)to safely drive at night

When driving at night the low beams are very dim.i have to drive with the high beams other wise i cannot see the road. Other drivers get upset but i cant use the vehicle at night.lights are on but very dim.i had dealer inspect and he said the focusing lens get destorted and the light doesn't go through.cost wold be over $1800 and not permenantly fix the defective focusing lens.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving various speeds, the low beam headlights were not projecting enough light. The contact mentioned that the lighting gradually dimmed. The vehicle was taken to franklin chevrolet cadillac buick gmc (106 northside dr e, statesboro, ga 30458) where the contact was informed that the entire head lamp assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

Headlights on this vehicle are horrible, they do not illuminate 5 feet in front of the hood.this poses a severe danger when driving at night.apparently cadillac is not issuing a recall even though there are lots of complaints and is a known problem.i believe there is also a class action law suit.they need to fix the headlights. Its only a matter of time before an accident happens if it hasn't already. Very dangerous.

Headlight is holding moistureand clouding up which is causing little to no vision at all at nightwhile driving on the highway headlights on srx's are bad as far as vision goes at night and i see hundreds of complaints from other owners.

Over the past 2 years and 4 months the headlights have become more and more dim.i now have to drive with my high beams on and in the rain it's almost impossible to see.a definite safety issue.cadillac definitely needs to issue a recall and fix this problem!

My vehicle's headlights are extremely dim, to the point that it is unsafe to drive at night. If i do have to drive when it is dark, i must use my bright high beams in order to see. This has been occurring since i first purchased the vehicle, but is progressively getting worse.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the headlamps were dim and provided insufficient lighting while driving. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that a replacement was offered under a class action lawsuit however, the time was expired. There was no further assistance provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

July 4, 2018 i was involved in a rear end collision where i ran into the back of a vehicle around 9:45pm.it bothered me that i did not see the car until i was right on her.all of a sudden i saw her car and she was moving not standing still.it dawned on me that i could not see her car or judge the distance from her because my headlights are not bright enough to see what is in front of me.i caused my insurance rates to go up.i have not been in a vehicle accident since the late 1970s.i am a good driver and was not distracted in any way.over $3,000 worth damage was done to my car and i'm not sure how much to the vehicle i hit.cadillac needs to do something about the headlights before there is a serious accident.i have to drive with my high beams.i was driving on a two way bridge and both cars were in motion.

The low beams are so bad you can hardly see!i've almost wrecked several times at night and hit several curbs due to poor lighting!i replaced the current bulbs with led bulbs and it's better than it was but still not very bright!i've seen so many complaints!something needs done before more people have accidents!

My driver side front headlight is significantly dimmer than the passenger side, so much so i have to drive with the high-beams to see at night. This does not change and is like this from the moment i turn on the vehicle. Very dangerous!!

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the headlights on the vehicle were extremely dim, which made the vehicle difficult to drive at night. The contact changed the headlight bulbs, but that did not repair the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. Headlights are dim causing it hard to see at night.

The headlights are very dem almost in a accident have to use bright lights at night

We purchased our 2014 cadillac on 7/3/2019. Carfax check out great. 5 days later we left town at 9:30 pm for a mini vacation. It was getting dark. We thought the lights seemed pretty dim,but then again it wasn't completely black outside at this point .as it proceeded to get darker we started to get extremely frightened it was like driving with dim flashlights . The high beams work fine but the low beamsdo not! !i got online to see if there was a problem with this and it turns out there are several complaints and a class action lawsuit in california !!!i called the cadillac dealership and they acted like they had never heard of this!we seriously thought we were going to be in an accident that night .what is it going to take for cadillac to take responsibility for this are several people going to have to die? not a great way to drive on the freeway or in town. We did both.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that while driving at dusk or dawn, the low beam headlamp was inadequate for safe vehicle operation. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer hubbard's cadillac/gmc (901 w. Broadway st. Monticello in) where it was diagnosed that the headlamp assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.

Dim headlights are very low.very unsafe to drive at night with dim lights on. We have noticed that the blinker is brighter than the actual lights. Very low visability. When driving i often think the lights are not on when they are on low beam. Would not be able to see a child or animal (or any object) in path of vehicle when driving at night. Our srx is black so i'm also concerned about other vehicles seeing us at night w/such poor lighting.total defect in design. My husband will drive it at night, but i refuse to.

The head lights give off a very low dimming or a low beam of light. Which i cant see the lines inside of the road or dividing lanes. The out side glass that covers the light is clear and not damaged.i have to use my bright light to drive everyday conditions. Iknow of others cadilliac owns who has also experiences this issue. This is a safety issue of life and death!!on coming traffic sometimes blowing to inform me my lights are low. Look into this safety matter .

Condensation and water were leaking into the headlamp assembly. I brought my vehicle to a cadillac service center for evaluation. They returned the vehicle with a quote for $2500 to replace the headlamp enclosures. However, if i cannot afford repairs and i choose to forgo replacement, the headlights will eventually short out. This issue is more than a cosmetic issue. The seals on the headlamp enclosure are defective and allow water to enter the headlights. The condensation dims the headlight quality at night, making night-driving very dangerous. Cadillac said the $2500 would only cover replacement with the same defective part, so i may need to have my car repaired again in the future. The headlights should have been recalled long ago. Nighttime driving is hazardous without fully functional headlights.

Low beam headlights are almost useless.can not see anything .have had them checked out and been told wasproblem everyone has.factory problem

Unsafe to drive at night - the low beams on this car as so dim that you cannot drive it safely at night. Cadillac refuses to accept there is an issue. Multiple class action lawsuits have been launched and this same complaint is all over the internet. I can't understand why nhsta hasn't looked into this problem since it presents dangerous situation and affects multiple cadillac models fro 2010 to 2015. Problem continues to worsen as the car ages. Please look into the obvious safety hazard.

I am only guessing the year because it is not my vehicle. I want to alert the nhtsb to what i consider a safety defect in this vehicle. The rear brake lights are excessively bright to the point of affecting the vision of someone following this vehicle. Last night i was following one of these in a line of cars and the brake lights were so bright it affected my ability to see the road. Since this is an suv of sorts, it was made worse by the high mounting of not only the normal lights but the center brake light. I can understand the need to have brake lights visible and certainly on a foggy night they would be useful, but for normal clear driving like last night they are too bright and can lead to an accident as the brightness affects the vision of the person following the vehicle. As i mentioned, i do not know the year and didn't think to get the license number but the 2 markings were "srx" and either "315" or more likely "3.5". Even with my high beam headlights which were needed to counteract the effect of the high brightness brake lights it was difficult to make out the 3.5.

Shame.

My headlights are extremely dim. I went and had new lights put in with little to no improvement. After doing my research, i noticed that this is a known issue for cadillac srx 2010-2015. I brought my car into cadillac and they said it was $2,100 to fix it. It's almost as if there are no lights on with my new headlights in there. Cadillac should be replacing the assembly as this is a known issue and a huge safety concern.oncoming traffic is blinding and i cannot see the lines. My only option is to turn on my brights which is unsafe for the oncoming traffic

The exterior lights are so dim at night that i cannot see at night.i have had the bulbs replaced but it doesn't help at all.i have to drive with my high beams on which also isn't safe.

Moisture gets in lights causing light to not work properly. Light dimness causing low visibility and cause me to wreck my car.

Own a 2014 cadillac srx headlights are dim ca not see beyond 5 feet in front of the bumper took to cadillac replaced headlight bulbs still the same problem. Was pulled over by police was told headlights are to dim to drive with my high beams on to get home and have someone fix. Called cadillac they said they call the dealer and headlights are to gm specs. Looked on line for possible fix and lots of same problems with no solutions. Cant drive at night or when it rains or in the fog as must drive with high beams on to see. This is when the car is stationary as well as driving

I have a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving at night the low beams do not produce a lot of light. It's almost like driving with no lights on. I had the bulbs replaced yesterday thinking it would solve the problem but it didn't.

Headlignts are so dim on my vehicle, which is dangerous when driving at night.i have to use my bright lights.i have gone to the actual cadillac sewell dealership, they agreed with me that the lights on both headlights are way too dim.i asked them to place a brighter lightbulb, but they said they would be unable to do that since it's an electrical issue with the entire light fixture.they said it was common with this make and model, and replacing the entire light fixture was $1500 per headlight, making $3000 to make headlights safe for night driving.it appears this is a manufacturing issue, they are trying to make the consumer pay for for a problem not caused by the consumer.they mentioned they have been seeing this issue with many of my car and make.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that while driving at night with the low beam headlights activated, the lights were very dim making and causing the contact difficulty in seeing past 50 feet in front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 200.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the headlights failed to project adequate light while driving. Additionally, the high beam headlights were used for driving. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer hertrich chevrolet of salisbury (2531 n salisbury blvd, salisbury, md 21801 (443) 856-4025) where it was diagnosed that the settings needed to be reset and brighter bulbs were installed. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 94,148.

Head lights do not workproperly when on dim> this has been aproblem forsome timeandcarmargo cadalic wants to charge me to tell methey don't work.hmmmmm i know theydon't work.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving various speeds or while the vehicle was stationary, the headlights were dim. The contact stated that it was difficult to drive the vehicle due to poor visibility. Hennessy cadillac (3377 satellite blvd, duluth, ga 30096, (770) 680-7000) was contacted and stated that it was a common failure and that the head lamp assembly needed to be replaced on both sides. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,876.

About 6 months ago, noticed low beam visibility was very low. Dealer said "common problem" needed to replace entire lighting unit ($800 each side). Now after having time to research, finding it is a common problem with other srx owners. Did change bulbs, but that was no help.cadillac needs to step forward and remedy the problem.

Head light low beams are dangerously dim. It is very unsafe to drive this car at night. Someone is going to get killed or seriously injured with this issue. A recall for this safety issue is immediately needed to save lives. Already came close to an accident when a truck pulled out in front of us, while driving home. . he could not see us. Please take this seriously and help us.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving unknown speeds, the low beam headlights dimmed without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to test the alternator and/or battery. The contact replaced the halogen bulbs. The contact called a local dealer (billy navarre chevrolet cadillac, 1310 e college st, lake charles, la 70607) and was informed that the lighting assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 67,430.

The headlight range on my 2014 srx is so bad that i was hardly able to see the road at night while driving thru the black hills of south dakota on rte 16 this past weekend. The people in the car with me noticed the lack of light range and suggested i look into replacing my headlights. I was white knuckled the entire drive. It's a miracle we are still alive.

The low beam headlights on this car are horrible, i have a very hard time seeing at night due to the lack of light from the headlights.i avoid driving this car at night due to the difficulty in seeing due to the lights.i can see fine with my other car.sometimes i am forced to use my high beams when i should use my low beams due to not being able to see.it is such a hazard and safety issue, i can't believe this car is a cadillac.i have not had an injury or damage yet.

Low beam headlights became very dim while driving 5 hour back from north florida. I could not see the road unless i turned on the high beams.the headlights were very dim making it unsafe to drive at night. I took the car to the dealer and was advised it would cast $1,600.00 to replace two low beam light bulbs with the same bulb that were failing after 4 years of use. Looking online, i found that other srx owner that paid for this repair experienced that the headlight replacement was either a short term fix, 3 to 6 months or it does not correct the issue at all. Continuing to drive this car at night would be a severe danger and will certainly end in a crash. Causing injury or death. Either by blinding oncoming traffic with high beams for not being able to see the road with low beams. My online search found several solutions engineered by aftermarket companies that fix this defect. The cost is $70.00 to $150.00 and requires about 4 hours work to install. This is clearly a defect and the affected vehicles should be recalled and repaired before someone dies.

The headlights on my 2014 cadillac srx are not adequate to drive safely at night. I am a 32 year old male with good vision and i have an extremely hard time seeing the road at night. After searching for fixes, i found that this is a very common problem with 2010 - 2015 model cadillac srxs.

The low beam headlights are so dim i can not see more than 2 feet on fromt of me. This issue is apparently cause by faulty casing on the headlights on 2010-2016 srx cadillacs and gm is not taking ownership for this mistake. My behicke cannot be driven at night without the high beams on. We noticed the issue while driving down the interstate in it for the first time at night. There is already a class action lawsuit because this is a common problem.

Headlights too dim due to moisture getting into headlights

My passenger side headlight is so dim on regular (not high beam), that i cannot see the edge of the road. I have complained to cadillac directly. They advised i take it to the dealer, which i did. I was told by the service rep at fields cadillac in jacksonville that it is a reflector behind the bulb, and they see it a lot. The issue is this: i was told they would be happy to repair it;however i had to pay for it, and cadillac would reimburse me. I asked the price. It was approx. $1500! i am a widow, living on social security, and do not have that kind of disposable resources. She said that is the only way they could repair it. I was very upset. I thought it was completely unfair. There are multiple complaints online about the cad headlights doing the same thing as mine. I told them if i was killed in an auto accident because i couldn't see, i would make sure my son never had to work a day again in his life. It would be entirely their fault in my opinion.i had to drive about 60 miles to my home a few weeks ago after dark, and i was a nervous wreck. I live in a rural area, and there are so many animals, etc. That must be seen if they are on the side of the road, not to mention my own visibility of the entire road. When i put my high beams on, of course drivers coming the opposite direction put theirs on me. So we're both blind. It is a major safety issue and should not be overlooked by cadillac or the nhtsa. *ln

The day i bought my 2014 cadillac srx on the drive home it got dark and my lights came on. I was in tallahassee in traffic so i thought it was just the street lights that were making them seem dim. As i continued home i was running the lights on high when i met a car i put them on low and it was like i had no lights at all. When i purchased the vehicle this was never brought up and of course it was test driven in the daylight hours. I purchased it on february 29, 2020, the carfax checked out great, without being aware that this was a problemand i really do not think the dealer should have sold the vehicle in this condition. Cadillac finally sent letters to owners in floridaand the week following my purchase my mother received a letter regarding a class action suit on the headlights on her 2013 cadillac srx that was totaled during hurricane michael on october 10, 2018. I contacted our local dealer and was told i could have the headlights replaced at my cost. This is not fair that i have to pay for something that should have been a recall in the first placeand during this time a lot of people do not have an extra $1700.00 laying around because that was the quote that i received from the dealer. With alli have found in my research and even a class action suit cadillac should be replacing the assembly. I even contacted the administrator with class action suit and was told that my vin # was in the group that was notified earlier and that deadline had expired in june 2019 prior to my purchase but it is apparent the work was never done. This is my only vehicle and i can not afford to replace it. If i have to drive at night my only option is to use my high beams which is a danger to other vehicles on the road. I ask you to please look atthis situation and force gm cadillac to issue a recall on these vehicles because it should have been done a long time ago.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving various speeds, the lights were too dim especially at night. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (laffen automotive, 995 w. Columbia avenue, battle creek, mi 49015) and advised the contact not to make any changes to the vehicle due to the warranty. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. Consumer stated cadillacauthorized sunset cadillac dealership to replace the headlights at no charge. There is a signicant improvement in the headlights. Updated 7/27/18

3 years ago i complained to holman cadillac about moisture in head light assembly which cause dim lighting on driver's side head light setting off error messages and the lens started to crack and to help resolve the issue, i tape the lens. Gm refused repair under bumper to bumper warranty and the dealership told mei would have to pay $1,600.00 for the replacement.

Both headlights are very diminishing making it hard to see at night time.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the projector low beam headlights were very dim and made it difficult to see the road while driving at night. The vehicle was taken to sunset cadillac of venice (located at 2367 s tamiami trail, venice, fl 34293, (941) 584-8540) where it was diagnosed that there was excessive clouding of the lens, which reduced the illumination. The dealer stated that the headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 9-4929540255. The approximate failure mileage was 66,837.

The low beam headlights will not even light up the road very well and causes a safety hazard.i searched the web to see if anyone else was having this problem and a lot of people are having the same problem due to moisture getting in the headlights.they are saying it's caused by a manufacturer error with 2010-2016 cadillac stx's.

I purchased a 2014 cadillac srx and the headlights stopped working.we returned to the dealer with it and they said it was checked before we left with out.we researched on line and discovered a defective light design was the problem.we can not ever drive our car at night .

Like so many others my exterior headlights are so dim i feel it a danger to drive ar night or just dark places.i am reporting this to my state and if the manufacturer does not pay to fix this problem i am with the group who wants a class action suit.i warn every one i know not to purchase a cadillac because they don't stand behind their product.

Moisture entering the headlamp assembly on my 2014 cadillac srx causes the low beam to become foggy and unable to illuminate the roadway at dark hours or in the rain which in turn raises a safety issue

Front headlights are out.they have always been very dim and have gotten worse with time.gm was sued by several customers and they were supposed to offer free reimbursement for replacing the parts.letters sent only received by few people.gm refuses to take responsibility for the defective vehicles they manufactured from 2010-2015, all having the same issues.vehicle is useless at night.safety hazard.dimmitt cadlllac in clearwater, florida is not taking responsibility either, although they have been aware of the problem for over 2 years.dimmitt failed to inform the clients a 90-day window to repair was offered pursuant to a letter most customers did not receive, even when my vehicle was taken within the window period for oil change.the consensus is that gm manufactured defective seals around the headlights which allow moisture/condensation to get in damaging the lights.vehicle cannot be driven at night as lights are off.this is not a one time event.it's an ongoing situation that gm refuses to correct and/or issue a recall even though all cadillac srx 2010-2015 have the same problem.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlights did not work. The contact used the high beams to drive at night. The vehicle was taken to fields cadillac st. Augustine (904-823-3000, located at 375 outlet mall blvd, st augustine, fl 32084) where it was diagnosed that the electrical component was faulty and the headlight component needed to be replaced. The technician stated that there was no recall because the vehicle was manufactured in new york. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

Dim headlights have become so dim that it's unsafe to drive at night unless high beam lights are on. Contacted local dealership and was told i could have them replaced at my cost.

Low beam headlights do not work. For several months, i have been forced to use high beams when driving at night. The lack of low beam headlights is extremely dangerous to me, my passengers and other drivers. Dealership has no answers and agrees that this defect is a major hazard. Service advisor agreed that a recall should be made to repair the low beams and does not understand why a recall has not been made.

Headlights do not project bright enough for night driving. They come on but do not function well enough without turning on the bright lights.

2014 cadillac srx low-beam headlights were growing progressively dimmer and now the vehicle is very unsafe to drive in low light situations. This occured over the course of a few weeks and the vehicle was approximately 4.5 years old at the time of near total darkness. Although the hi-beams still work fine, it is unsafe to subject oncoming traffic to constant use of hi-beams, yet without them the srx driver is unable to see even the lines on the road. So very dangerous and this cadillac owner is terrified to drive this vehicle at night, for fear of harming herself or others.

Low beam lighting is extremely dangerous! the low beams are on but appear to be nothing more than running light. This is a known problem and gm needs to fix it before someone dies!

The problem started a year ago with the lights becoming severely dim and unsafe at night. In the past two months the veu system has taken a mind of its own and usually does not work from the center console. Now the car does not work at all. It's like it's shorted out the whole electrical system. Worst car ever!!! i will never buy a cadillac ever again.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlights started to dim approximately two years ago. The failure worsened to the point that the high beam headlights had to be utilized while driving at night. On april 14, 2019, the contact received a letterfrom the manufacturer stating that if the low beam headlamp system had to be replaced, and the contact would be reimbursed for the repair cost. The vehicle was taken to williamson cadillac (7815 sw 104th st, miami, fl 33156) where it was determined that the low beam headlight system needed to be replaced; however, the program had ended. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 50,900.

Just purchase 2014 caddilac srx. While driving at night low beam headlights have indequate illumination and beam pattern. Difficult to clearly see any obstructions in the road, people or cars on the shoulder of the road without having to have the bright lights selected. No long term fix identified by cadillac. All they want to do is replace the bulbs with the same ineffective oem. Unsafe to drive at night unless one is extremely careful.

My headlamps is very dim. I cannot see when i am driving at night. There is enough light that i don't get pulled over by the police, but not enough see a car license plate in front of me.

The low beams on our srx are unsafe. Went to our dealer and was advised there is no gm fix available to our car except to buy bulbs from after market source and they did not recommend that solution. The head lights on our car are unsafe. Not enough light on road to drive safely. This is particularly true for us older drivers. Seems gm would put good headlights high on their engineering requirement list. They did not do so with the srx. This must be corrected before someone is hurts or killed.

Low beams so dim it is not safe to drive at night.

The dim headlights on the car are awful you can hardly see anything at night, you can forget about driving at night when it is raining you cannot see anything at all. When you dim your headlights it is like you turned off the lights. What is really bad is when you have paid alot for this car and you don't even feel safe driving this car at all. My husband and i have told our children if something ever happens to us in this car at night for them to be sure to sue cadillac because they will be responsible for what ever happens to us.thank you!!!

Purchased a pre-owned 2014 with 69,000 miles.the low beam headlights didn't illuminate, but the high beams were great.i replaced the low beam bulbs and some light now hits the road, but not nearly enough.it appears that the glass sphere in front of the bulbs is gray and not allowing light to pass thru.the dealer should not have sold the car in this condition.

The low beam headlights are so dim i almost got hit by a motorist that did not see me coming down the road.thios has happened multiple times and i cannot see to drive at night with the low beams on. I was stopped by the state police for having my high beams on and told them i could not see with my low beams on. Officer looked at the head lights and said that the dealer of cadillac should replace them with new ones at no cost to me.this should have a recall done with new style of headlamp assemblies

Low beam headlights are ineffective. Very dangerous to drive at night. Please make gm take responsibility and repair these vehicles.

When driving at night, i can't see unless i use my high beams, on low beams i cannot see the roadway. I have contacted the dealership and they say they are aware of the problem, but there is no recall. So i would have to pay for this issue repair and hope that general motors would have to reimburse me for the repair, i can't imagine a more important safety issue than not being able to see at night on the highway.

The cadillac cue has frozen and needs to be replaced. The highlights are so dim it is impossible to drive at night.

Very low intensity low-beam lighting while operating vehicle during hours of darkness. Consequently, vision is reduced to unsafe levels resulting in a near-miss involving bicycling pedestrians.gm doesn't recognize it as a safety issue but hundreds of internet reported complaints indicate otherwise.

The lights are entirely too dim to drive after night except with high beams on.cadillac admitted there was a widespread problem with the vehicle but offered no assistance or resolution except for me paying to replace both headlights

The lights when on dim are so dark that you are unable to see to drive at night.brights work fine but dims are useless.very unsafe

Headlights can't see with current headlights and there are 100's of complaints for this.this has been a problem since the day i purchased this srx 2014 cadillac srx and all other srx owners i have spoke to about this feel that gm has released a automobile with know safety problems that these headlights are..

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving at night, the low beam headlights did not function properly and the illumination was too low without warning. The contact had to activate the high beams in order to see the road. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 59,280. The vin was unknown.

Due to covid-19, i was not driving at night. Recently, i needed to go out in the early evening and realized my headlights were extremely dim and at times there are no lights at all.this is extremely dangerous!. Now, i cannot drive my vehicle at night. Cadillac is aware of the problem because they issued a letter and said that there is an issue which possibly can occur in the future and provided a deadline date. At the time i received the letter, my car was fine however the deadline has passed, the service department where i take my car for repairs said to call cadillac to extend the deadline date. I was shock to find out that cadillac witl not extend the deadline date nor will my $3200 extended warranty cover the $1600+ repairs either.recall is necessary!

Unsafe to drive at night - the low beams on this car as so dim that you cannot drive it safely at night. Cadillac refuses to accept there is an issue. Multiple class action lawsuits have been launched and this same complaint is all over the internet.i can't understand why nhsta hasn't looked into this problem since it presents dangerous situation and affects multiple cadillac models fro 2010 to 2015. Please look into the obvious safety hazard.

The headlights while on low beam are not bright enough causing a potential safety issue. The lack of brightness is much more exsagrated when driving in night rain condituons.

Headlamp lenses, circular magnifier clouded (within the assembly) causing decreased headlamp performance. New lamps do not correct this problem. Literally this cadillac has cataracts...

Concern: extremely dim headlights on my cadillac srx, so dim and hazardous that i do not drive at night and not in rain. I have since learned of pending lawsuits over the same issue. This is a huge safety issue. This is shameful of cadillac - i have a 4 year old vehicle with 55k miles that i can longer safely drive at night. My high beam headlights still function properly but i cannot drive all the time with my high beams - it would not be safe for oncoming traffic. Cadillac is doing nothing to correct this problem. They have offered a costly repair, but i have been cautioned that the repair work will not correct the problem.a true repair is needed and cadillac needs a recall. Very dangerous!

Very poor lighting when using low beams at night

Vehicle driving headlights provide extremely low level of road illumination which is extremely dangerous such that it is necessary to switch to high beam in order to illuminate the road sufficiently to drive safely!cadillac dealership states that the lighting level is acceptable.as you know, driving with high beams can be dangerous as well when on local roads and neighborhoods in order to see the road safely.

The headlights even though they are working don't put out enough light to drive at night.there was a lawsuit concerning this matter, the dealer wanted us to front $2200.00.

My 2014 cadillac srx headlights have continued to get more and more dim to the point they are almost unsafe on low level (dim). I have tried everything short of replacing the headlight unit which is extremely expensive. After reading complaints on the internet it seems this is a common problem and gm refuses to address the issue . The car is out of warranty. To me this is as bad a safety issue as airbags. This occurred over a year period and is getting progressively worse.

Takata recall i can not drive my 2014 cadillac srx at night on low beam they are so deam you can not see. I have to drive with my lights on high i know it is not safe but i don't have a choice. The day i bought the cadillac srx on my drive home it got dark andmy lighs came on i was running them on high when i met a car i put them on low it was like i had no lights at all i had to put them back on high i know it was blinding the other driver.

I cannot drive at night because headlights are so dim you can't see them 100 ft away.also water in assembly. Have replaced and it made no difference.

The headlights are dangerous at night you can not see 20 feet in front off the car. I ask rep. At cadillac about the problem and he had the nerve to tell me if i had bought the premier model it would have much better headlights. I know that the cheapest car on the market has better headlights than the cadillac srx. When you purchase a car for 45,000 dollars and are told you shouldhave bought the 50,000 dollar car to get good headlights that`s insulting to me.texas state inspection in the passed tested headlight lumensand aim i`ll bet they would not pass minimum standards if the state still required that test for state inspection. Night time driving in the srx is dangerous. The next field requires a date that this happened'always' is the answer but i will enter today`s date so that i can complete this form that probably won`t be read.

When the lights are on dim, you cannot see the road at all. It's like you are not driving with any lights on at all. After only having my car 5 days, i have run off the road twice, had two people pull out in front of me because they did not see me with lights on dim, and almost been hit once. This is a serious safety issues that many owners are facing. My choices to drive my car at time is to only use the high beams which blinds other drivers, risk not being able to see, or have aftermarket headlamps installed. Changing the light bulb did not work.

The headlights are failing and this car is too dangerous to drive at night.we are forced to drive with high beams on because otherwise you cannot see the road.many many instances of this posted online and cadillac has been aware of problem for some time.also class actions suits. Yet they will recall and are forced to pay huge amount for repairs.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the low beam headlights were extremely dim. The contact could not see past 40 feet in front of the vehicle while driving. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,121.

We have a 2014 cadillac we bought used a year ago. The low beam headlights luminosity has deteriorated to the point that is unsafe, actual dangerous to drive at night. I have attached two pictures that i took. One is my nissan altima showing normal projection and the cadillac srx which clearly shows it is unsafe to drive at night. The dealer and cadillac refuse to acknowledge there is an issue and will do nothing. Research clearly shows this to be an issue in 2010 to 2015 cadillacs. Class action lawsuits have been files in multiple states. I cannot in good conscience let my wife drive it at night and she states she is afraid to do so. I believe the folks at nhsta should issue a recall before people are hurt in accident. Thank you.

The headlights on low beam have gotten so bad it is not safe to drive with the low beams in at all.after a bulb change to the brights best sylvania recommened they are not any better at all.if we drive at night we will have to leave our high beams on so we drive very little at night because of the headlights

Car jerks excessively while in drive at low speeds.transmission cuts out or decelerate, followed by a rapid acceleration, leading to jerking and bucking.creates the risk of not being able to accelerate when pulling out into traffic, a crash hazard.the 2013 srx had problems that sound like this and 50,000+ vehicles were recalled so the transmission module could be reprogrammed.wondering if the recall needs to be extended to 2014 as well.

This car has a huge lag in acceleration when entering traffic and also when the transmission engine braking effect releases when slowing in traffic.when i slow down between 9-14 mph, it's as though i have hit a speed bump.the car jerks back and then forward, like its bucking.it's so scary.while driving 70 mph on i95 it did it and left me shaking.i looked in my rear view mirror like i had hit something, but in fact, its the jerking, bucking thing. This has been happening for a couple of weeks with the jerking but the lag in acceleration has been happening since i got the car.when i pull out into traffic, it's almost like the engine rev's but the car goes no where and other cars are coming and it's dangerous.

Light for service rear axle display on front display was no with a weird jerk in the drive of suv. So i took my 2014 cadillac srx with 74000 miles to have it checked out at a cadillac dealership in nj and was told the axle oil pump needs to be replaced with service hours of 6 and grand total $1600 for repairs.

I purchased a 2014 cadillac srx and began having problems with the transmission 7 months later. I was experiencing hard shift changes constantly while driving, to the point where i almost caused an accident. I took the car to the dealer 5 times for a diagnostic review.occording to them they did not find anything wrong with the car until i drove it there and physically requested a manager to come out and drive the vehicle with me.then and only then they admitted something was wrong with the car, they kept it for 2 weeks and claimed they performed a complete transmission overhaul.i took the car home and 5 weeks later i was back at the dealership with the same problem, this time worst than the 1st time.by then my warranty had expired, they did not want to guarantee their repair and they wanted me to pay almost 3,000 dollars for transmission repair they claimed to have done.my other issue is with the cue, it cracked while the car was at the dealership and was told i needed to pay 1,500 dollars to fix.second time i had an issue with it.this model has so many issues it definitely should be recalled before someone dies on the road from a faulty transmission and cues that can be dangerous because you haver to use your cell phone for navigation.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated that the vehicle jerked excessively when approaching a stop or while being parked. The vehicle also jerked when accelerating. The vehicle was taken to two separate dealers, but the failure was unable to be diagnosed or replicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

The vichecle is jumping with a sudden kick when slowing down and braking.this will happen when driving to work in bumper to bumper traffic as well as routine navigation locally.

Vehicle jerks forward every time i accelerate from a stop or very slow moving.

Mostly during decelerations at low speeds, as is the case for us upon entering our neighborhood, we experience hard shifts or a "buck". There are occasions when it will happen when attempting a quick acceleration from a complete stop or low speed in city traffic.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillacsrx. While traveling at various speeds and attempting to come to a stop, the brakes were applied but the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop. The contact felt a slight jerking motion. The failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was unable to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

Sometimes while accelerating our 2014 cadillac srx will feel to studder or skip in eco mode or not.sometimes while at a slow speed, 10 mph, the vehicle will hard shift while accelerating or decelerating in eco and not.sometimes while slowing through about 25 mph the vehicle will surge forward very slightly in eco and not.after some research, it appears that 2013 models of the srx had similiar transmission issues. Referencing recall numbers 14v212000 and 13v097000 with dates of 04/25/2014 and 03/15/2013, these recalls appear to duplicate the same problems that we're having in our 2014 srx, lag in acceleration and transmission related engine braking effect.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle accelerated and decelerated without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v212000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 19,500.

The contact leased a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact was concerned that there was a design flaw in the shifting linkage of the vehicle, which could cause the vehicle to idle between the park and reverse gears. The contact stated that the vehicle could also inadvertently shift between park and reverse, which caused the vehicle to lunge forward unintentionally. While attempting to place the vehicle in reverse, the vehicle failed to select the correct gear. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal in attempt to move the vehicle when the reverse gear engaged. The vehicle crashed into the neighbor's fence. The contact was not injured and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken to hoehn cadillac (located at: 5334 paseo del norte, carlsbad, ca 92008) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle operated as intended and there was no defect. The approximate failure mileage was 9,000.

Incident occurred while contact (c) was backing srx down the approx 40 degree upslope 100' long driveway curved at bottom. Surfaces were dry & it was sunny. C purchased srx new (navigation, driver awareness & driver assist) in late 12/13. C &/or spouse have backed srx down driveway without incident 100 plus times. C & spouse entered srx, adjusted seats & mirror, & buckled seat belts. C depressed brake pedal & pushed start button. While retaining pressure on brake, c shifted transmission selector into r, 'reverse.' the back-up camera display appeared. Immediately, srx began to roll down driveway. Rolling continued despite increasing brake pedal pressure exerted. C was standing on brake pedal to get srx to respond to full stop. Viewing the back-up camera display, c attempted to steer srx so as to avoid entering street. Srx was stopped by impacting retaining wall on left side of driveway. Once srx had stopped, c (with brake pedal still depressed) was able to shift gears & move srx from driveway. C tested srx by driving forwards & braking & noted no issues. Srx was dealer inspected. Dealer indicated that it: "could not duplicate concern. Checked for bulletins, no related bulletins. Inspected brake fluid for leaks, no leaks. No stored dtc's." re: srx's hill start assist feature, which holds srx for maximum of two secs so driver may move from brake to accelerator without risk of rolling - feature does not function. Dealer verbally stated that on steep hills, srx should be driven with two feet, one on brake & one on accelerator. For this report, c never used accelerator & never removed foot from brake pedal. C believes srx should not have been at risk of rolling & brakes & transmission failed & should be investigated. Crash resulted in damage to left mirror, left chrome vent & left rear wheel well. Repair cost estimated at $980.

While making a 3 hour non stop drive with the driver seat heater on high i received severe burns on my right thigh.it blistered in 2 of the 4 places that the skin was burned.

My drivers side seat back has a burn whole caused by seat heater while driving.

The brakes on my srx fail to operate when you push on them it feels like you have brakes and you feel a pressure on the pedal but the car doesn't stop there's a delayed response and it happens at random i've owned many vehicles in excessive 30 vehicles i have been a car salesman for 10 years and i have never experienced a car like this it has break fade or or ghost breaks i have had an accident because of this and ran into the back of a vehicle but in addition of that i have run into the back of vehicles on four occasions with this vehicle currently i own three vehicles and this is the only vehicle i've ever had an accident in and now i've had four incidents of bumping another vehicle even while parallel parking because the car doesn't stop additionally i had a friend of mine with over 30 yr in the car business drive the car and he has the same problem i've looked online now and i found that many people have this problem this is a serious safety issue i don't understand why this hasn't been fixed and everyone takes it to the dealer and the dealer tells me your brakes are fine there's a problem in their software for the anti-lock brakes and it doesn't apply the brakes when you think they're on their not

Brakes did not slow vehicle down in 25 mile per hour accident, brake work done by dealership 2/2019

Car veered to the right into the guardrail then loss of control of steering, car spun around twice and landed in opposite guardrail facing traffic with left rear tire facing away from the car.we were driving at the time on a highway.

On may 12, 2018, we were driving west on maryland interstate 68 through the mountains.we were driving downward on one of the many mountains and i noticed a wobble coming from the front passenger wheel.i began to worry and slowed down from 70 mph to 50 mph.as i approached the bottom of the mountain there was a curve to the left.all of the sudden we lost control like we were on ice.we turned 360 degrees and slammed into the right berm guard rail and then proceeded to travel back across the two land highway and hit the left median guardrail and came to a stop.there were three of us in the car and fortunately only minor injuries.we observed that the axle at the front passenger side wheel had sheered off.i couldn't believe it! also. The side air bags did not deploy when the passenger side slammed into the guard rail.

The 2014 cadillac srx had 75k miles on the odometer, the driver experienced a wobble feeling in the suspension of the car while driving on the highway then heard a bang and the car went out of control at high speeds.the read end of the car veered to the right.fortunately, no other cars were on the road as the car went across multiple lanes while out of control.the driver was able to pull the car over to the side of the road and onstar was called for assistance.the car was taken to the nearest cadillac deal who found that the rear right adjuster links broke due to the threads were worn.found that recall 14v571000 recall date 9/19/2019 component suspension: rear.

Sways and wanders on the highway, seems like you need anlignment, but that does not fix the proplem

I had felt swaying in my rear for about 1 month before it actually broke.i was going down i40 headed to the beach and i heard a pop and all of a sudden my steering wheel was at a right hand turn position going straight.(dog tracking)i have had it temporarily fixed until i know for sure that it should be a recall.

There is an existing recall filed on 9/19/2014 for the 2014 cadillac srx for a "possible loose rear suspension toe adjuster link" which can cause loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash. The nhtsa campaign number is 14v571000. On 5/21/19, i first noticed that when driving down the highway, my car would pull to the left quite a bit, almost as if it was being hit with a high wind gust. This happened two additional times driving down the highway the following two days. On 5/28/19, i was no longer able to drive the car in a straight line as the wheel was cocked 45 degrees to the left to even drive straight, this happened less than a mile from home and i made it home safe. The following day on 5/29/19, on the way to firestone to have the car looked at, i could no longer drive over 25mph and the left front and rear tires were cocked out to the side and the car appeared to be drifting. I almost went off the road.

Was driving down the highway going speed limit of 70 to 75 when my car suddenly lost all control as if i was on a sheet of ice and i traveled uncontrollably across the entire highway lanes into the center median almost into oncoming traffic on the other side before coming to a stop

Car veered to the right into the guardrail then loss of control of steering, car spun around twice and landed in opposite guardrail facing traffic with left rear tire facing away from the car.we were driving at the time on a highway.

Dim to barely no low beam lights.took vehicle to dealership and found out the entire headlamp assemblies need to be replaced due to a faulty seal that has allowed moisture to corrode the reflectors. I am really surprised the vehicle passed inspection with little to no low beam lights which could have caused night blindness causing severe accident.

My 2014 cadillac cue screen has developed spider web cracks which prevent me from seeing through the screen.this has become a safety issue because i am unable to view the backup cameras.this is a known issue with cadillac with numerous complaints.i have only 35,000 miles on my car.one day after leaving my car outside during a hot day, the cracks appeared.cadillac/gm should be responsible for this defective product.

The backup monitor touchscreen cracked into a spiderweb effect. I don't know why but was suddenly like that and has gotten worse.

The cue system stopped working.this is the touch screen on the dash that controls the heating, air conditioning, radio, navigation and others.called gm asked if they would pay for the replacement and the answer wasno.they went on to saythey were sorry for the inconveniencejust take it to a gm dealer for repairs. Cost around 1600.00 dollars.there is no guarantee in one or two years it won't fail again

Headlights on low beam are unsafe and vehicle can not safely be driven at night. We returned to dealers who replaced bulb after one blew out but new bulb did not help.after researching on internet we have learned this is a common problem with this year make and model and has been reported by many consumers although there has been no effort by manufacturer to correct.very unsafe.

Cadillac cue touch screen doesn'twork properly - frozen - won't respond to touch. Radio randomly starts blasting startling driver. Driver unable to adjust heat/cooling so must lean over and put hands on vents to see where (if) heat is being directed, causing driver to swerve into oncoming traffic or off road. Unable to use navigation system so driver is unable to focus on the road and must look at cell phone. Phone is unable to pair bluetooth phone with system b/c it needs touch screen, so phone must be held in hand or placed between seat belt near driver's ear causing driver distraction/inattention. Screen flickers randomly drawing drivers eyes off the road possibly causing an accident. Unable to set/reset safety features, warning bells, lockout protections etc. Driver has tried to ignore these issues, however, the longer the system is down/malfunctioning, the higher the risk is becoming due to driver distraction.

The low beam headlamps continue to grow dim while driving at night. There is a slight regeneration when vehicle is turned off. Restart the vehicle then the headlights appear to continue to dim while driving at night. This is a national safety issue. Several lawsuits have been filed in california, florida, illinois.

Screen just cracked.

Dim lights are to dim. Cant see with them. Cant drive at night because they are to dim.

The cadillac cue system is the main touch screen in the vehicle. I just had to have it replaced because there was a dead spot on the screen.i have been notified by my dealership that there is a known issue and they have recommended issuing a recall. I have heard which i have not been able to confirm that cadillac is actually suing the company that produces the cue product. Frankel cadillac in cockeysville, maryland has had to replace a couple of these within the past couple of weeks. I also was advised that the replacement has been taking place for quite sometime. I actually had to go on a waiting list for a couple of weeks to even get one since they appeared to be high in demand because of the need for replacement.i have contacted cadillac customer service and their only response was that i should reach out for assistance through your company. I have no issue with paying for wear and tear on a vehicle but to have the main control system go down within 4 years and less than 40k miles on my vehicle.i am not sure that i should be out of pocket $817.00 to repair this.

My headlights do not provide enough light to be safe. I cannot see when they are on the low beam, and others flash their lights at me as if to say they can't see me either. I can see well when the high beams are on, then oncoming traffic flashes they are too bright and blinding them. I have seen numerous reports of this issue for this vehicle on the internet. I reported it to the cadillac dealer, and they didn't even return my call as they said they would. Don't ignore the problem. Someone could get killed. This is not an isolated incident. I cannot provide any date because it is always like this. I live in a rural area, and need good headlights.

It was a 93 degree temperature day and the cue system internally cracked while parked outside my work office and delaminated causing me to be unable to use temperature controls or defrost temperatures at times. It only occasionally works but very rarely

Shortly arriving being moved to texas by the army, i noticed a hairline crack in the top left corner of my cue navigation system. After a few days the crack spread and began affecting the touch screen. Initially a small section at the bottom of the screen stopped responding to touch. Thus making it impossible to change radio stations or enter an address into the navigation. Approximately a week later the entire cue system stopped working. From what i have seen online, this is a common issue for the cadillac cue system shortly after vehicles reach 50k miles.

The power liftgate drops quickly a couple of seconds after reaching the full open position.

My radio is going batting again.it plays but the screen will not work 1/2 the time - i have no control on where to go.when i try to recieve a call from the car it will pick up and disconnect 2 seconds into the call.it will not let me use a aux cord to play music.i have replaced the display on 9/13/16 and i replaced the radio on 4/26/17.this is not acceptable.i had to wait in april for over a month or two b/c this particular radio was on back order due to issues.

Dash screen sometimes does not work if freezes up and is not useable.i had this replaced two years ago at about 60,000 milesand now it is happening again at 90,000miles. When this happens the vehicle is in motion on a city street and a highway

The cadillac que (radio screen) has cracked in upper right corner & expanding down the screen & toward left side of screen causing distortion to what is displayed.my car is garage kept and not even used as a daily vehicle. I am very frustrated & disappointed in this flaw & would appreciate a recall to have screen replaced at no charge.

Information center cadillac cue does not operate. Brought to dealer on 11/17/2016 and was told 30 days to several months on back order. Today is 12/16/2016 called dealer no estimated completion time. Called cadillac same answer. The cadillac cue controls a/c, heat, radio and all the accessories. Does this fall under the lemon law? i have breathing problems and can't safely drive this vehicle. Temperatures this weekend will be -12 degrees fahrenheit.please advise what actions i can take to resolve this issue asap.

The cue screen is not functioning. The screen has spider-looking cracks, i can not sync my phone or anything else. I was told by cadillac that replacing it would cost 1600.00.

Back in february of 2020 i was driving the car and it started jerking around really bad when i would either upshift or downshift in 1-2 gear. Took it to cadillac and they couldn't find anything. We took it to a couple of other mechanics and a lot of money later no one could find anything. One day driving home from work the car started jerking so bad that i almost crashed. Come to find out the transmission died. We replaced the transmission and a couple of months later having problems again. When i drive and get to about 40 miles per hour the entire car shafts to shake and jerk around and this happened when i had my kids in the car. Gm is doing nothing to help us. At this point we don't know what to do and and can't afford to keep randomly replacing parts on a car that is just not safe to drive at this point. I am truly afraid for my family's safety.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the accelerator pedal was giving off excessive heat. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer was contacted and informed her that the vehicle was performing normally. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

Driving in light snow/ice and extreme cold (approximately 15 deg f) conditions, wipers continually clogged with ice.while this may appear to be an expected result, the design of the wiper location below the point on the windshield where the front window defroster hits the window may have exacerbated the problem.snow and ice from the windshield melted, ran down windshield to the wiper location and immediately refroze - rendering the wipers ineffective. Continual use of the wipers (not intermittent) appeared to somewhat ameliorate the issue.

The head lamps do not provide enough light to see objects on the road.there are hundreds on complaints from other srx owners on social media and on driving test.org.the low beams on this car as so dim that you cannot drive it safely at night. Cadillac refuses to accept there is an issue. Multiple class action lawsuits have been launched and this same complaint is all over the internet. I can't understand why nhsta hasn't looked into this problem since it presents dangerous situation and affects multiple cadillac models from 2010 to 2015. Problem continues to worsen as the car ages. Please look into the obvious safety hazard.

The headlights on my cadillac srx are not bright enough at night to see the road clearly and i have been told by my husband when he was driving in front of me that my headlights were substantially dimmer on my car than the other vehicles on the road

Headlights are so dim its very dangerous to drive vehicle when is dark.

While driving at night, the low beam headlights were extremely dim and created a visibility hazard. The vehicle was taken to otto cadillac (1730 central ave, albany, ny) where it was diagnosed that the failure was caused by moisture in the headlight assembly and the entire headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Thanks.

The contact owns a 2014 cadillac srx. While driving 50 mph, the sun roof exploded without warning. The failure occurred independently. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the sun roof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000. The vin was not available.

The contact owns a 2013 cadillac srx. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and making turns the wheels were pulling and not feeling normal. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21v473000 (suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called the local dealer who stated that the parts were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered a loaner vehicle or a credit towards another vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000. The vin was incomplete.

Car veered to the right into the guardrail then loss of control of steering, car spun around twice and landed in opposite guardrail facing traffic with left rear tire facing away from the car.we were driving at the time on a highway.
