1unrepaired recallsassociated with this vin may 27,2016manufacturer recall number2049151 nhtsa recall number16v381 recall statusrecall incomplete, remedy not yet available summarytakata corporation ('takata') has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2007-2011 cadillac escalade, escalade esv, escalade ext, chevrolet avalanche, silverado 1500, suburban, tahoe, gmc sierra 1500, yukon, yukon xl, and 2009-2011 chevrolet silverado 2500/3500 and gmc sierra 2500/3500 vehicles. This is based upon takata's decision that front passenger airbag inflators it supplied to gm are defective. Gm has submitted to nhtsa a petition for inconsequentiality and nhtsa has granted gm until august 2017 to complete its investigation and to submit all data supporting the petition. If the petition is denied, gm will conduct a recall of the airbag inflators covered by takata's defect information report. For more information visit www.regulations.gov and search for docket no. Nhtsa-2016-0124. Safety riskthe propellant in some types of takata airbag inflators can degrade over time, especially after long term exposure in hot and humid regions. If the propellant degrades to a certain level, the inflators may rupture during deployment, causing serious or fatal injuries.the airbag indicator has come on.i own two cadillac vehicles and coincidentally they have the same recall and, the same indicator light has illuminated on both vehicles.i am concerned that this recall is a potential hazard. We live in florida where it's hot, so we constantly drive in the sun. For both vehicles to have a recall and now both indicators for airbags are illuminated i believe that this may be apart of this takata issue.

Second lemon from the texas plant. First was 07 gmc yukon with massive electrical problems. This new cadillac, also made in arlington, has had several issues with the same rear pass door, door latch, window seals and warped door frame. After multiple trips to dealer the problem still exists. Both auto running board motors have needed replacing and parts have been changed out several times. After a few thousand miles all 8 lifters in the engine needed replacing and now the truck is sluggish and "out of sync". The air conditioner went out after a few hundred miles and required an entire new hvac system, new hoses, mounts, vents etc. The front pass leather seat needed replacement because of poor quality. The paint in several areas has flaked and has been to the body shop three x's for paint repair. Gm has been forced to take it back under the lemon law in calif. Back to back problems from the texas plant on separate gm products, both brand new and driven less than 10,000 miles per year. Never buy anything built in the texas plant, there seems to be big issues there.

I have encountered these "blue" lights many times while traveling. They are very very hard to see into from the oncoming vehicle. I understand that they have been around a while and am surprised they have not been discontinues. I keep thinking to my self, "what if all vehicles had these?" we would have a lot more crashes. I think you should consider taking them off the auto companiesthat are selling them. It's good for the driver but bad for the on coming vehicles. Please consider resending these blue lights on cars and trucks.

Sometimes while braking it needs much more force, meaning i have to push the brake all the way down. Also it feels like they stick at times. I saw there was a recall on the 2015-2018 for this issue but it may go back further.

Tires losing air due to poor chroming process, aka paint on rims, fake chrome paint is peeling off on inside of rims, (since gm doesn't like to rustcoat any of their parts to save a couple $) causing tires not to seal to rim, as well valve stem hole is no longer round due to flaking paint and air is escaping here as well. This could lead to tire blowouts and probably has, and was probably blamed on the tire or road hazards that weren't there. I have contacted gm and cadillac and they only think their parts should last as long as extra warranty you pay for. So 3 years. After that, all parts are ok to fail in their eyes.

At a stoplight on an overpass the car shut off and wouldn't restart for 10 minutes. After it restarted and we continued to drive and get on the highway. The car shutoff while driving 60 mph on the highway. Power steering was completely lost. We were able to coast to the side of the highway. After 5 minutes or so car restarted. There was a cadillac dealer within 10 miles so we continued on to try and get there.the car shutoff again getting off the highway on the exit ramp and again lost power steering.again waited for 5 minutes the car restarted. Same thing happened pulling into the dealer parking lot. We were lucky there wasn't much traffic on the highway ori would imagine we could have very likely caused a bad accidentwith the car shutting off at 60 mph with no steering. We were in a rural area where the highway death toll is high.i have read numerous cases of other escalade owners having this same problem.

We purchased the vehicle in may and noticed the first crack a few months later and this morning feb 16 2017 i see the 2nd crack. I am afraid if i have a wreck, the piece is going to fly off and damage airbag or slice the face of the driver. Please fix this issue!!!! the vehicle was stationary when cracks formed.
